In The
Mind Of
A Speedster
Disclaimer: I thought it was finally high time I did one of these for Pietro.
I know I can come off as an insensitive self-absorbed jerk a lot of the time but honestly, I don't mean to be half the time. It just happens. Wrote Pietro in his journal in his room at X-Factor Headquarters with a sigh.
Its just… With how my Powers work, I tend to get a little impatient because everyone around me is practically slow as can be! And that, that causes me to act a certain way. I'm trying to be better about it but years of that makes it a hard fight. Spirit and Blind Master would probably have some wise way to describe all that… And speaking of the Joes, Roadblock's been doing a lot better since Toad finally came out of his Coma! But… He's also gotten worried and to be honest, so have I and I'm not the only one!
Pietro was of course referring to the fact that as soon as Todd was cleared to leave the medbay, the guy had immediately taken to focusing on various forms of training in order to get back his body strength and to get his skills sharp again. It was already causing problems between him and Althea due to how focused he'd been as Wavedancer just wanted to be with him. Even take him to one of the planets she'd been on while she'd been away for her own mental health needs. We're all worried those two are gonna end up breaking up and if Virus knew, that sick nut would probably get a perverse kick out of the whole thing. Makes me grateful Crystal and I don't have that problem. Other than Johnny Storm's jealous self but he doesn't matter too much! Pausing in his writing, the Speedster frowned at the thought of the Human Torch.
The guy just wasn't willing to leave things be thanks to his ego and belief that Pietro was just playing a part for his old man. And Pietro was trying not to do anything to the guy aside from that wedgie a ways back as he knew it would just escalate things. Which… While could be fun, could cause problems and that wasn't something he necessarily wanted to deal with. Oh well, Torchy will get over himself eventually. Hopefully the Todd/Althea situation will resolve sooner than that! And ooh, looks like Lunch time! Later, Journal!
And with that, Pietro was on his way for some Lunch!
