bopdog111: Last time, Saki Konishi was declared dead.

Ulrich362: True, she was... also apologies for the year long delay but well... P4 is coming back!

bopdog111: Literally in that sense.

Ulrich362: Sorry, it's the game that got me into the series so I'm a little excited... though right now let's see how Atem reacts to the serial murder case starting and his cousin arriving right bopdog?

bopdog111: Yeah let's see what's gonna happen here.

Ulrich362: Sounds like a plan to me, enjoy the chapter.

Disclaimer: We don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V or Persona 4 but we own the OCs!

It's an early morning the day after the whole mess from Saki Konishi's status after she's declared KIA. Right now Atem is waiting at the train station for his cousin. When he had given the call, she said she would be there as soon as she can, and before going to bed tonight she said she's almost there on the train that'll take early morning for her to arrive. So now after getting up early, Atem is just waiting for Naoto.

"Clear the platform, the train will be arriving soon." came an announcement.

Hearing this Atem turned over as a train is pulling up. As it arrived several people were getting out only for him to notice someone in a blue hat. He stops leaning against the wall walking over to where he can see this person.

"Atem, thank you for meeting me." Naoto smiled calmly. "Can we go somewhere to talk?"

"Right Naoto, let's head to my place." Atem spoke gesturing her to follow him.

She nodded following him calmly. He guided her through town, and soon reached the place he had been staying at. Naoto sees that despite it's rustic appearance, it's pretty well kept thanks to him. So she walks inside as he offers a seat for her.

"Thank you, now can you inform of anything that's been going on regarding the two homocides?" Naoto inquired.

"Nothing much." Atem admitted over to her as he sat down himself. "All I heard are lots of things of panicked people. But there are some thing common. The recent deceased, Saki Konishi, had seen the body of Mayumi Yamano, the first of them first, and she was likely killed to have the culprit cover their tracks. I had then heard someone talking that he had tried to warn Saki, saying he should've warned her more."

"Hmm... I see, do you know if local police are looking into the matter?" Naoto asked calmly while taking down some notes.

"Yeah, you know Uncle Dojima, and his work around here. Although it's rather strange. The cause of death of them are labeled as 'unknown'." Atem admitted to her much to her confusion. "No signs of struggle, no old bruise, no gunshot wounds, or anything that can be one part of how they died. But they haven't found anything, nothing at all that can support what it could've been."

"That is odd." Naoto noted thoughtfully as she looked at Atem. "I'll have to speak with the police but I think I'll familiarize myself with Inaba for a time before that."

Atem nodded before then saying to her. "Well like I said before, Uncle Dojima's nephew is staying here in Inaba here for a while so you might get a chance to meet him."

"I might... though I should focus on this new case." Naoto admitted before frowning. "What about your classes?"

"Going like usual, always get above classes, and only go if I feel like it."

Naoto nodded at that. "It always did come easy to you."

Atem nodded from this before he then gets up. "I have some breakfast saved if you want something eat before you head off Naoto. Train food isn't quite enough for you."

"I'm quite alright but thank you." Naoto reassured him.

"Alright. I'll be out all day so give me a call if you need me for anything." Atem told her nodding as he walked to the kitchen. "And be careful out there, so you won't be next Naoto."

"I'll take care of myself." Naoto nodded calmly.

"Well see you later in the day."

"Of course." Naoto nodded as she got up to go into town.

After eating breakfast, Atem exits the house sighing. Now the time for the day he does around here in Inaba. Watch the streets, take care of anyone who threatens the peace around, and make sure no-one else is getting murdered. He had kept this town safe for a long time, and no-one not even this new killer, and most certainly not Aoi Aizawa is gonna tell him otherwise. As he did he saw some officers talking with people in the Shopping District.

Probably to see if anyone knows what had happened, or if anyone has any information or something regarding this new serial murder case. As he thought that an officer approached him. "Young man, shouldn't you be in school right now?"

"Only go when I feel too." Atem responded over to the officer turning away. "Don't mind me, nothing you should be concerned about."

"So you weren't in class the other day?" the officer asked as Atem noticed he sounded young.

"New guy on the force? Then I'll say this to ya. I'm not the one who is doing all of this, speak with Detective Ryutaro Dojima, he'll vouch for me about it, I just look over Inaba in places he doesn't." Atem speak over to him so he will get why he isn't at school sometimes. "Again only head to school if I need to, and it isn't any of your business to know why."

"A likely story." the officer frowned. "I think we should head to the station to have a little chat."

"Listen, your only gonna waste your time just talking to someone like me." Atem spoke over to him.

"Huh, Atem?" asked a familiar voice as a younger looking detective walked over. "Is something wrong?"

"Adachi." Atem nodded over towards him that the younger officer blinked from this. "Another case of misunderstanding from another new guy on the force is all. Nothing too serious." It's been some talk at the force, some kid who isn't at school when he's suppose to, having connections with Dojima who is a well-known detective after be taken the role of best detective after Kuroki was killed in the accident. Sometimes Atem would be under arrest or taken to the station while he was just doing what he usually does, and Dojima's usually the one to break it up clearing things out.

When Adachi arrived recently, Dojima went ahead, and informed him about Atem's unique situation, and when Adachi asked why he is not going to school just doing things like these, Dojima replied it's none of his business only if Atem tells him about him. He also instructed if he's not around for Atem to not be caught in more misunderstandings especially in troubled times like a serial killer on the loose, Atem isn't the culprit they are looking for.

"I get it, sorry you had to deal with this Atem I'll fill the new guy in on your situation." Adachi mentioned. "Oh, but do you think you can lend a hand? I'm not sure where to even start with this one."

"I'll lend my best hand at it, although, it's probably not gonna be much. What do you need assistance on?" Knowing the kind of guy Adachi is, Atem agrees to help him out, as long as Dojima isn't aware about it where he will chew Adachi out about it later.

"Well, your family's reputation speaks for itself so I was thinking maybe you could see if we missed anything on either of the victims? If you're not too busy?" Adachi added.

Atem sighed from this. Sometimes he was asked this where his family as the Shirogane Detectives are always masters at what they do, and the shock of 2 being killed from an accident took Inaba by storm where they wished luck for Naoto, and Atem. Naoto maybe the current generation of them without reason, but Atem is not much of a 'detective' person. "Nothing about Yamano. I had found Saki when she found Yamano's body, and took her home for her to be safe from the turmoil. I don't know what happened afterward when she was founded, especially since the cause of death on either of them was never identified."

Adachi nodded with a sigh. "I thought so, well thanks anyway."

Atem nodded before then saying. "Tell Uncle Dojima that Naoto will be waiting for the full story from his point of view. She arrived not too earlier today." Adachi's eyes widened before he nodded walking off with the officer. That done Atem turned walking off to continue his job around here in Inaba.

Eventually he noticed it was getting late. So he walked back home arriving in his house entering the place. "Naoto, you home?"

"Yes, I am Atem." Naoto nodded.

"Did Uncle Dojima tell you all what's happening?" Atem closed the door walking in where he sees Naoto checking some reports on the table.

"Just what he knows, though to be honest I'm not sure he's very happy about my involvement so early... I may leave things to him and the others for the time being and if they request my assistance I'll provide it." Naoto answered only to sigh. "It's a small town."

"Yeah but at least you can be away from something as stressful as large honking horns in the big city or something else as that." Atem spoke that in comparison to the big cities, it's cozy, quiet, and other things. "So how was Grandfather before you leave?"

"Grandfather is going very well, to be honest I think he was... a bit too approving of me moving to Inaba for the duration of this case. Assuming I'm asked to help that is, I believe he wanted me to check on you." Naoto pointed out. "He knows about the incident, at least in so far as there is one that you were worried about."

Atem nodded from this. "Of course. Still no sign of Carol though?"

"None." Naoto admitted as she frowned. "She's seemingly vanished."

"Of course... well she will turn up sooner or later. No matter how much you run, or how clever you are at covering your tracks, sooner or later your gonna make a mistake." Atem spoke crossing his arms looking angry at the mention of that woman. "If she will make one..." Seeing the TV was on, Naoto was probably trying to see what she can find on the news but sees that was Aoi Aizawa giving a speech to everyone like she usually does sometimes. Seeing her he growled taking the remote, and turned the TV off.

Naoto frowned seeing that as she knew Atem didn't approve of Aoi Aizawa. "Bitch... Don't know why people are so gung-ho about how she acts like she will rescue this town or whatever by blaming others, or saying people deserve what they got." He himself isn't sure why, but the look of her makes him hate Aoi Aizawa so much.

"People tend to want a scapegoat for their problems." Naoto sighed. "And she provides that."

"Well no matter what people say, she is NOT gonna make this town more chaotic then how it already is with the culprit out there. This is the town of Inaba belonging to all the townspeople not hers." Atem spoke before walking to the kitchen to get some water.

Naoto sighed at that as she looked at the TV again.

"...whereabouts of the one responsible are still unknown at this time, where we hope now that the police will catch the culprit pretty soon." the news reporter spoke when the TV was turned back on. "Further reports will be shown later tonight."

Just then it changed where Naoto sees it's a commercial where a green, and red haired man with goggles on his head, and a red magician outfit was on a red dragon with orbs as he grinned over. "Want to wow the crowd like the best Dueltainers out there! Then apply now at You Show Duel School at Paradise City, and show us all what you, and your Deck can do to excite the crowd, and make everyone smile in Dueling!"

Naoto sighed seeing that. "How childish."

"What is?" Atem walked back with his water wondering what's going on.

"Another advertisement for that childish game." Naoto answered before pausing. "Though, I believe I know something that may brighten your spirits?"

"What is it?"

Naoto smiled changing the channel to a Risette performance. "I recall you being a fan of hers?"

Atem blinked looking over as he sees someone who he blinks. He definitely listens to Risette, a popular female idol from time to time although he isn't sure why. He just like going over her, and she's pretty cute. Wait, what is he thinking?

He blushes a little turning away. "You still remember that?"

"You're practically my brother, and a good detective remembers details about people." Naoto chuckles slightly.

"I think you mean, teasing and doting sister this time."

"I suppose I have to plead guilty to that accusation." Naoto chuckled a bit.

Atem looked over at the clock to find an excuse not to get over with this any longer. "It's getting late, we should wash up, and get to bed. You take it first."

"Very well, thank you Atem." Naoto nodded heading to the bathroom.

As Atem drinks his water he walked heading to his room to try finding some things. First he found some covers, and pillows for Naoto trying to decide where she would sleep at tonight. After a lot of thought, he decided to have her sleep at the futon, it's more comfortable than his bed anyway. After that he walked to try finding some clothes for him to wear when he's done with his shower.

After finding some clothes he exit his room only to see Naoto exiting... without a towel. "N-Naoto!" He turned his head away to not see her. "W-Where is your towel?"

Naoto gasped and ran into the bathroom. "There wasn't one."

"Wasn't-" Atem then paused before he sighed. "Stupid, knew I forgotten something." He placed the clothes down walking over to his washier, and drier checking over. Finding a towel clean, and dry he walked over knocking the door. "I have one here for you." He has his head turned away so he won't see her.

The door opened a crack as Naoto took it. "Thank you Atem."

"Sorry, I forgotten to get some ready for tonight before I left this morning. Usually it's just me managing everything here making sure my bill doesn't skyrocket, or looks like a complete mess." Atem spoke over that sometimes while he's managing the house, he forgets about some things.

"It's fine, better you than anyone else." Naoto mentioned walking out this time in a towel.

"I got a change of clothes over here." Atem gestured to some clothes he pulled for her. "You'll be on the futon while your here, it's more comfortable than my bed."

"I see, thank you Atem." Naoto nodded.

"By the way... have they gotten bigger?" It was something the two do sometimes when they were younger. Naoto is rather.. gifted at one area, and she used to be excited or glad about it where she would tell Atem she is becoming a mature woman about it. He mostly listens so that she would have SOMEONE to say it too rather than their grandfather who is strict. Now though, she is embarrassed, and shy about it although they still do it from time to time, just not in public.

Naoto's eyes widened as she blushed. "If you must know... yes."

"Getting harder to hide them then. Is your method right now still working or is it making you uncomfortable?" Atem asked her to show he meant no harm by it just need to know if she's okay.

"I'm fine." Naoto nodded. "Though, I need to keep them under wraps to get the respect as a detective."

"Well just know if you have any problems, you can discuss with me." Atem said to her nodding. "You can go ahead, and change, I'll be taking a shower, and then off to bed afterward." With that said he entered the bathroom to start his shower. Naoto nodded as she went to get ready for the night.

After removing the towel she starts getting dressed. Atem hasn't changed much at all, still the same no-nonsense, serious person he was after the accident. He had started having hope of having a normal happy life when her father, and stepmother took him in, but after the accident, he became self-distance. There are several people who get close to him enough to have him not be all alone herself included. And now Auntie Chisato is gone to from a hit and run years earlier... she wonders how much more this would be before Atem can be truly happy when Carol is finally caught.

She paused and blushed a bit before frowning and shaking her head as she carefully laid down in the Futon. After several minutes Atem exit in a towel around his waist sighing. His physique under his pea coat is that he is muscular with some scars from when he survived the accident, or endured Carol and Matt's treatments over him including a gash on his arm. When Naoto seen those for the first time after leaving the hospital she cried hard, and kept him close to her for about 2 weeks devastated at seeing the damage he had taken firsthand. It still breaks her hurt every time she sees it.

"Atem? Are you ok?"

"Yeah, just got out." Atem answered after closing the door. "Are you comfortable right now, Naoto?" He turned to walk to the clothes he has out for him.

"I am but... never mind. Good night Atem." Naoto whispered.

"Naoto?" He looked over to her hearing that. "You can always tell me if there is something wrong?" She knows him, he'll never stop until she tells him, she grown up around him like that so no point trying to hide it.

"I was considering if... at least for this first night you'd like to share a bed like when were children... a memory of happier times." Naoto confessed. "Though, giving it more thought, the situation has changed quite a bit since then."

He blinked looking over to her. "Like when... the two of us would snuggle together to keep each other safe?"

"Yes, exactly like that." Naoto nodded.

"Well..." It been a long time since it happened. Now that the two are back together again after being separated for a while, it would be nice to be that close to each other as siblings like that again. "If your okay with it, Naoto, I would like too."

"Well, if you're ok with it." Naoto nodded as she moved to the bed.

After dressing up, Atem walked closing the door allowing them both on the bed. "How long was it since we last done this?"

"Several years." Naoto confessed. "I still remember, there was a shooting star that night." Atem gently cozy up to her holding her to him.

Naoto blushed a bit. "This is... a bit more than I expected, but... good night Atem."

"Good luck Naoto... and thanks." Atem spoke to her.

Naoto nodded as the two of them went to sleep.

bopdog111: The real events will be in the background so Atem, and Naoto will be minor characters to the main storyline until it's time for them onto it. We do have some ideas, and events to keep things from getting boring though until then. My prediction probably... when this reaches chapter 10 or 15 is when the real events will be around for real.

Ulrich362: True, we could show some of the main events but... apologies for such a short chapter after a year.

bopdog111: And we also reminded this is mixed with Arc-V from that small reference from Yuya.

Ulrich362: True, well with that said um... maybe next up will be a small detail from the main plot and um... some more of Atem and Naoto's backstory?

bopdog111: Well we have about probably a decade of stuff for us to get over for them.

Ulrich362: Fair enough, see you in the next chapter.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
