Episode 495: Bringing the Fight to Team Galactic
Shortly after the battle with Paul ended with Lucas as the winner, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup returned to the Lake Acuity Pokémon Center. Roxas calls Tai's Rotom Phone to tell them about the battle between Lucas and Paul.
"Roxas, hey. How did he match go? Who won?" Tai asked.
"Believe it or not, it was Lucas who won it," Roxas said.
"Wow, really?" Sora T asked.
"That's really awesome," Matt said.
"Glad to hear he placed that jerk in his place," Yolei said.
"What do you think? It was because of the training he did with us," Davis said.
"Davis is actually right. He trained hard for it," Roxas said.
"Placing the battle aside, how soon are you ready to come?" Izzy asked.
"As soon as Lucas's Pokémon are all better. Then, we'll leave for Veilstone City," Roxas said.
"Alright. Just don't be too long," Tai said.
"Alright," Roxas said, breaking contact.
A few minutes later, Nurse Joy came out with Infernape, Luxray, Floatzel, Glaceon, Gliscor, and Gengar's Pokéballs on a tray.
"How are my Pokémon doing, Nurse Joy?" Lucas asked.
"Your Pokémon are all fighting fit. They should all be fine as long as they get some rest for the rest of the day," Nurse Joy said.
"That won't be a problem," Lucas said.
"We should be heading down for Veilstone City anyway," May said.
"Yeah, I gave the Master a call and told her we're on our way," Naminé said.
"Then, let's get on our way," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup went on the road toward Veilstone City. Along the way, Sora has exchanged his Luxray and Lilligant for Stunky and Carnvine. It about a week and a half to make it to the outskirts of Veilstone City, but they finally made it. Rei is with the DigiDestined teams as she sees them coming.
"I trust you had quite a journey," Rei said.
"We've been on track to meet up with you ever since you contacted us," Sora said.
"Is there a special reason why you called us here, Master?" May asked.
"Yes, there is, May. It has a lot to do with Team Galactic," Rei said.
"Team Galactic?!" Dawn gasped.
"Lup?!" Piplup also gasped.
"I knew it!" Sora said.
"Chu!" Pikachu said.
"Come. You'll understand when I show you," Rei said. She had her apprentices follow her to a burned down building.
"It's just a burned down building," Elaine said.
"Yes, but it beloned to Team Galactic. Look in the debris," Rei said. They looked through the debris and saw Team Galactic's logo.
"Look! Team Galactic's logo!" Ethan said.
"You were right, Master. Team Galactic's name is all over this," Ash said.
"But why would they burn down their own base?" Dawn asked.
"I don't think this is their base. They could be hiding out somewhere in Sinnoh," Wes said.
"If they are, then we gotta find them and fast," Riku said.
"Yes, and bring an end to them and their plans," Rui said.
"She's right. Until Team Galactic's brought down, nothing else is important," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"We should split into teams to search for them," Takato suggested.
"Char," Guil agreed.
"Okay. We can do that," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"But we call each other if we find them," Takuya said.
"Okay. Let's do this thing," Chase said.
With that said, the group has split up to locate Team Galactic. Tai, Matt, Sora T, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, TK, Kari, Davis, Kari, Davis, Ken, Yolei, Cody, Meiko, Amy, and Little Mei went one way as Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryo, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, Suzie, and Guil went another. Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, and Munchlax went another way as Rei joined her apprentices and searched with them.
As the days passed, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup searched hard for Team Galactic's hiding place.
Meanwhile, Looker is on the trail of Team Galactic as well. He and a Croagunk spotted one lurking around.
"There he is, Croagunk. You ready?" Looker asked.
"Cro," Croagunk nodded.
"Okay. Move in. Use Bounce!" Looker ordered. Croagunk jumped hard. Looker approached the Team Galactic grunt. "International police!" The Team Galactic grunt turned to see him. "You're under arrest!"
"You're gonna have to catch me first, officer!" The Team Galactic grunt taunted as Croagunk came down and lands right on him.
"Like that?" Looker asked. He chuckled as Croagunk got off. He cuffed him. "We have some questions we wanna ask you."
Back with Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup, they kept on looking, and they didn't find a thing.
"Man, who would have thought looking for some bad guys could be so hard?" Lucas asked.
"It's not like we're gonna find a sign that says 'Team Galactic is here, come on in'. And even if we do find it, they're not gonna be letting us inside and offer us some milk and cookies," Chase said.
"Chu," Volt said.
"Chase has a point. Team Galactic isn't going to make it easy for us. Team Magma and Team Aqua had some nasty plans, too, but we stopped them before they could make it worse," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Yeah, if we didn't stop Team Magma or Team Aqua, then we would have ended up with something worse than a sunburn or we would have drowned," Ethan said.
"And don't forget Team Rocket when they crossed the line by trying to steal all of our Pokémon from us," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Yeah, and also, there was Team Shadow when they made Shadow Pokémon to take over the world," Wes said.
"Twice they tried that, and twice we blew it," Michael said.
"You got that right. Those spacemen are gonna push hard on us, and we're gonna push harder," Lea said.
"That's one way to put it," Rei said.
"I don't know about you, but I could use a break. I think I'm gonna sit right down, because I'm starting to get a blister the size of a Steelix," Kris said as she leans against a tree. She elbows a spot, causing something to happen. It shows it's not really a tree, but a door as it opened. "Did I do that?"
"What is this place?" Naminé asked.
"Rill?" Azurill asked.
"I don't know, but should we have a look around, Master?" Lyra asked.
"We might as well, but we don't know what could in there, so we stick together. Is that understood?" Rei asked.
"Yes, Master," Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, and Michael said in unison. With that said, they entered inside and they looked around. As they did, they made a startling discovery.
"Guys, look!" May said, pointing to the Team Galactic logo. "I think we found their base."
"We should call the DigiDestined and tell them," Elaine suggested.
"No, because I can't get a signal down here," Rei said, looking at her Rotom Phone, indicating there isn't a signal. "They definitely don't want anyone to make any unauthorized phone calls."
"But how are they going to know we found them?" Brendan asked.
"Brendan's right. We did say we'd let them know what we found out," Xion said.
"Yeah, but we can't separate, because those Team Galactic goons might have found their door opened-" Riku was cut off when an alarm goes off.
"Attention all personnel! We have intruders in the base! Capture the intruders on sight! Repeat! Capture the intruders on sight!" A woman's voice said through the intercom.
"-by now," Riku finished.
"You think we should have closed the door after we came inside?" Kris asked.
"I wouldn't be too sure, Kris," Rui said.
"Alright, apprentices! Be on the lookout for any Team Galactic members! They could come out at any moment!" Rei said.
With that said, a small swarm of Team Galactic grunts came running.
"There's the intruders!" One of the female Team Galactic grunts said.
"Capture them!" A male Team Galactic grunt said as they threw their Pokéballs as Golbat, Beautifly, and Dustox all came out to attack them. They took out their Pokéballs and threw them. Ash has let out a Lucario, Leaf has let out a Cherrim, Ethan has let out a Mothim, Kris has let out a Plant Cloak Wormadam, Lyra has let out a Bibarel, Brendan has let out his Gabite, May has let out her Lopunny, Chase has let out his Sneasel, Elaine has let out a female Sneasel, Wes has let out his Scizor, Rui has let out her Plusle, Lucas has let out his Gliscor, Dawn let out her Mamoswine, Riku let out his Luxray, Naminé has let out a Kirlia, Michael has let out his Jolteon, and Rei has let out her Ampharos. Sora has let out his Monferno, Kairi has let out her Combusken, Roxas has let out a Dusclops, Xion has let out a Vespiquen, and Lea has let out a Houndoom.
"Attack!" Rei shouted.
"Monferno! Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Monferno fired a Flamethrower at the attacking Pokémon.
"Combusken! Use Fire Spin!" Kairi ordered. Combusken fired her Fire Spin, hitting the Team Galactic Pokémon.
"Gliscor! Stone Edge!" Lucas ordered.
"Mamoswine! Ice Shard!" Dawn ordered.
"Sneasel! Blizzard!" Chase and Elaine ordered.
"Mothim! Use Bug Buzz!" Ethan ordered.
"Leafy! Use Razor Leaf!" Kris ordered. No surprise that she nicknamed her.
"Bibarel! Ice Beam!" Lyra ordered.
"Lopunny! Use Shock Wave!" May ordered.
"Gabite! Use Shadow Claw!" Brendan ordered.
"Houndoom! Inferno!" Lea ordered.
"Dusclops! Shadow Ball!" Roxas ordered.
"Vespiquen! Attack Order!" Xion ordered.
"Lucario! Dragon Pulse!" Ash ordered.
"Cherrim! Magical Leaf!" Leaf ordered.
"Kirlia! Psybeam!" Naminé ordered.
"Luxray! Charge Beam!" Riku ordered.
"Plusle! Thunderbolt!" Rui ordered.
"Jolteon! Pin Missile!" Michael ordered.
"Scizor! Flash Cannon!" Wes ordered.
"Ampharos! Signal Beam!" Rei ordered.
Their attacks struck the opposing Pokémon on the mark. The group fought hard against the Team Galactic grunts as they rushed in to capture them. The grunts has sent out Bronzor, Glameow, Stunky, and Croagunk to battle along with the Beautifly, Dustox, and Golbat. There were some Team Galactic grunts that also had Sneasel, Murkrow, Misdreavus, and Houndour as well.
"Monferno! Use Thunder Punch!" Sora ordered. Monferno's fist emits electricity and lands a hit. Several Houndour tackled Monferno down and started to bite him repeatedly.
"Monferno!" Sora called out. Monferno then began let out a loud yell as he started to evolve. "Monferno!"
"Monferno's evolving!" Riku said. As Monferno evolves, he stood on his two feet. Monferno was now an Infernape.
"Infernape!" The newly evolved Infernape roared.
"You're an Infernape, now," Sora said.
"Ape," Infernape said.
"Okay, Infernape! Use Flame Wheel!" Sora ordered. Infernape has cloaked himself in red-orange flames. He then goes on a rampage, attacking anything in sight with his raging fists. "That wasn't Flame Wheel."
"That was Raging Fury. Infernape must have learned it while evolving," Rei said.
"Raging Fury. Awesome," Sora said. Infernape has stopped his attack and then became confused.
"After use, Infernape becomes confused," Riku said. Sora called his newly evolved Infernape back.
"Rest up, Infernape. You've earned it," Sora said.
"We should go. More of them will show up soon," Lea said.
"Right," Sora said.
With that said, they called back their Pokémon and in the shadows to keep themselves hidden. As they moved along, they stumbled on a gathering of Team Galactic grunts.
"What's going on?" Dawn whispered.
"I don't know, except it's gotta be huge," Rei whispered. Cyrus approached the podium along with Saturn, Mars, and Saturn.
"Cyrus," Sora quietly hissed.
Cyrus announced to the Team Galactic members, "Fellow members of Team Galactic! Hear me! To those who are new to our cause, my name, as I appear to you today, is Cyrus. This world of ours is a crude one. In a word, it is incomplete. It has been and always will be, a struggle to survive in this world. And that struggle has given birth to the Heartless! It is the darkness that we gave the Heartless that allowed them to thrive, and the darkness lingers in the frail hearts of humans and Pokémon! As a result of being incomplete, we humans and Pokémon are likewise incomplete. Because we are all so lacking, we fight, we maim... It is ugly. I hate the incompleteness. That we are all incomplete, I hate it with my entire body and being. The world should be complete. The world must change. Then, who will change it? Me, Cyrus. And Team Galactic. Yes, all of you. Together we pored over myths and exposed their secrets. Together we captured the Lake Guardians, Mesprit, the Pokémon that represents emotion, Azelf, the Pokémon that represents willpower, and Uxie, who represents knowledge. They are the keys to awakening Dialga, the Master of Time, and Palkia, the Master of space. And now, Team Galactic has obtained the energy to change the world! The power of dreams is within our grasp! Understand it, fellow members! My long-held dream world is on the verge of becoming reality. All those headed to Mt. Coronet, and those who remain here... Though our missions may differ, our hearts beat as one. Let there be glory for Team Galactic!"
The Team Galactic members all cheered and roared as they applauded.
"Well, he sure got this crowd going," May whispered.
"We have to save Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit and send them back to the lakes," Dawn whispered.
"Dawn's right. The lakes will be nothing without them. And it might get worse than it already is," Kris said.
Not too far away, Pokémon Hunter J's ship is cruising through the skies, searching for potential targets.
"Any potential targets?" J asked.
"Yes. We're picking up three signals at these coordinates," one of J's henchmen said, displaying the three signals.
"Three precious gems all in one place, waiting to be captured," J said as she grinned evilly. She chuckled wickedly. "Set a course for those coordinates. I'll make my move as soon as they make themselves known."
"Sir!" J's henchmen said.
"No matter what it is, those Pokémon are going to shoot us back up on the top, and nothing and no one is going to stand in my way," J said.
Meanwhile, over to the Sinnoh division of the international police, Looker is interrogating the Team Galactic grunt he arrested.
"Alright, you! Talk! What're Cyrus's plans? Where are the orbs and the Lake Guardians?! And where are the scientists you kidnapped?" Looker asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about," the Team Galactic grunt denied.
"Don't play dumb with me! You know more than you're letting on! You know all about Cyrus's evil scheme, so let it all out!" Looker said.
The Team Galactic grunt scoffed, "You think Cyrus is evil? He's not the evil one, and we're not evil! It's you and those who denies us that are evil. It doesn't matter what I tell you. It's already too late to stop what's already started. The new world will soon be born, and we will be the rightful rulers of he new world. And you will not exist to stop us."
"Don't be too sure," Looker said.
Back at Team Galactic base, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup kept going as they looked for Cyrus's office shortly after his speech to Team Galactic. They kept going until they found what they were looking for.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup arrived to Cyrus's office as he stood up.
"...So you've come. You heard my speech, I take it," Cyrus said.
"Yeah, we heard it. We heard every bit of it," Sora said.
"And we're not sorry to say it stinks," Chase said.
"There's no way we're going to let you do it!" Riku said.
"Do you believe you can actually stop me?" Cyrus asked.
"We know we can," Roxas said.
"A world created by Team Galactic for Team Galactic will never be a real thing!" Kairi said.
"Oh, but you misunderstand my intentions completely," Cyrus said.
"What do you mean?" Lea asked.
"The new world is only for me," Cyrus said, making everyone gasp.
"You mean, to tell us, it was all-?" Ash paused.
"A big lie, of course. It's true, insofar as my intention is to create a new world. But that world isn't for the likes of Team Galactic. As I have already admitted, I seek an entirely new world solely for myself. If not, it could never be the complete and perfect world. You've seen my minions of Team Galactic. You, yourselves must know that they are uniformly useless and incomplete," Cyrus said.
"So not only you lied to us when we first met, but you lied to your own people? How low are going to sink?" Sora asked.
"I think he's ready hit rock-bottom," May said.
"But, I must say... You are a remarkable bunch of specimens. Those Pokémon have nothing to do with you, do they?" Cyrus asked.
"What does it matter to you?" Sora asked.
"But still, you come to rescue them out of pity?" Cyrus asked.
"It's not pity, Cyrus! It's because it's the right thing to do!" Dawn said.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
"And we're not leaving without them!" Lucas added.
"Such pitifully useless emotions... It's illogical and irrational. Pity and compassion are products of the weak and faulty human heart. You were compelled to come here by such vacuous sentimentality! I will make you regret paying heed to your heart!" Cyrus said.
"We'd gladly listen to our hearts!" Sora said.
Both Sora and Cyrus got ready for battle as Cyrus took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Gyarados! Go!" Cyrus called out. His Pokéball opened and his Gyarados came out from inside. Sora turned to Pikachu.
"You're up, buddy," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said, stepping in. Pikachu shuddered for a moment due to Gyarados's Intimidate, but shook it off.
"Gyarados! Hyper Beam!" Cyrus ordered. Gyarados fired a Hyper Beam right at Pikachu.
"Dodge and use Electro Web!" Sora ordered. Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and sends it right at the Atrocious Pokémon. Gyarados is caught in the electrified web. Gyarados broke free of Pikachu's Electro Web. "Okay, use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt at Gyarados.
"Dodge it and use your Hydro Pump!" Cyrus ordered. Gyarados fired Hydro Pump at Pikachu, hitting him. "Use Ice Fang!" Cyrus ordered. Gyarados lunged at Pikachu with an Ice Fang.
"Dodge it with Quick Attack!" Sora called out. Pikachu dodged Gyarados's Ice Fang. "Use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu charged at Gyarados with Volt Tackle, hitting the Atrocious Pokémon, resulting in a knockout. Cyrus called back his Gyarados and he took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Honchkrow! Go!" Cyrus called out. His Pokéball opened and his Honchkrow came out to battle.
"Come back, Pikachu!" Sora said. Pikachu returned to Sora's side as he took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Empoleon! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Empoleon came out to battle.
"Night Slash!" Cyrus ordered. Honchkrow flew toward the Emperor Pokémon with a Night Slash.
"Dodge and use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Empoleon dodged Honchkrow's Night Slash.
"Defog!" Cyrus ordered. Honchkrow sends out a Defog right at Empoleon.
"Air Slash!" Sora ordered. Empoleon unleashed an Air Slash, cutting through Defog. "Now, use Ice Beam!" Empoleon fired an Ice Beam, freezing Honchkrow in it. "Flash Cannon!" Empoleon fired Flash Cannon, hitting Honchkrow and finishes the Big Boss Pokémon off. Cyrus called back his Honchkrow and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Crobat! Go!" Cyrus called out. His Pokéball opened and his Crobat emerged from inside. Sora called back his Empoleon and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"You're up, Rampardos!" Sora called out. His Pokéball opened and the Headbutt Pokéball came out from inside.
"Cross Poison!" Cyrus ordered. Crobat flew toward Rampardos with a Cross Poison.
"Thunder Punch!" Sora ordered. Rampardos lands a Thunder Punch onto the Bat Pokémon. "Use Zen Headbutt!" Rampardos lands a Zen Headbutt onto Crobat, dealing some heavy damage.
"Air Cutter!" Cyrus ordered. Crobat sends out an Air Cutter toward the Headbutt Pokémon.
"Dodge that and use your Rock Slide!" Sora ordered. Rampardos sends out a Rock Slide, hitting Crobat. "Zen Headbutt!" Rampardos lands a Zen Headbutt onto Crobat, resulting in a knockout. Cyrus called back his Crobat.
"I will admit, you are strong. Now, I am down to my last Pokémon," Cyrus said, taking out his Pokéball and opened it. "Weavile! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Weavile came out from inside. Sora called back Rampardos and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Lucario! Go!" Sora called out. His Lucario came out to battle.
"Weavile! Metal Claw!" Cyrus ordered. Weavile rushed toward Lucario with a Metal Claw.
"Bullet Punch!" Sora ordered. Lucario rushed at Weavile and land a Bullet Punch.
"Use Ice Punch!" Cyrus ordered. Weavile's fist emits ice when head toward Lucario.
"Aura Sphere!" Sora ordered. Lucario sends out an Aura Sphere, hitting Weavile. "Use Force Palm!" Lucario uses his Force Palm onto Weavile, taking the Sharp Claw Pokémon down. Cyrus called back his Weavile.
"I see... You are indeed strong. And the basis of your power is your compassion towards Pokémon," Cyrus said.
"Yeah, that's what being a Trainer is all about! I care about every Pokémon that I have ever caught, and nothing is gonna change that!" Sora said.
"How wasteful... Such emotions are but mere illusions. And, like all illusions, they fade over time until death banishes them forever. That is why I have abandoned all emotions as useless as sentimentality," Cyrus said.
"Wow, that's just dark coming from you," Sora said.
"How could you say emotions are illusions? Emotions are a part of us all. You can't just get rid of emotions just because you want to. People and Pokémon have to be able to have emotions. To be able to feel joy, love, and trust. What you're trying to do is an illusion itself," Kairi said.
"Nothing any of say matters. I doubt you will ever understand my position. That said, I recognize that you are strong and courageous to come here. As for your sentiments for Pokémon, I do not share them at all. Unlike you Trainers, I do not make Pokémon my friends or partners. Unlike other Team Galactic members, I don't use Pokémon as tools. Instead, I make the power of Pokémon my own," Cyrus said.
"Where are the Lake Guardians?" Sora asked.
"If you wish to save the Pokémon from the lakes, take the warp panel ahead. I am off to Mt. Coronet. I will ascend the mountain to its peak where destiny awaits me. It is there that I will create my new world..." Cyrus said, taking his leave.
"Cyrus!" Sora called out. Cyrus teleports out when he stepped on a panel. "He's gone!"
"At least he gave us a clue on where to go," Lucas said.
With that said, they each stepped on a warp panel to a lab where a bunch of scientists are surprised to see them.
"Did you come to save us?" One of the scientists asked.
"We didn't know you were here, but we'll get you out, too," Roxas said.
"Who are you?" Leaf asked.
"We're scientists. We were kidnapped and confined to this lab against our will. They said they wanted us to conduct some sort of experiement," the first scientist said.
"And the mad fools made us conduct this experiment on living Pokémon!" A female scientist said.
"Living Pokémon?" Kairi asked.
"The Lake Guardians!" Dawn said.
"You're right. We gotta get them back to the lakes!" Ash said.
"Where are they?" Brendan asked.
"In there, along with Charon, and some other Team Galactic person," the first scientist said. Croagunk came out from inside of his own Pokéball. Sora quickly figured out why.
"Uh-oh. When Croagunk gets like this, that means Toxicroak is close by," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"Let's go," Rei said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup entered the next room and saw the Lake Guardians placed in three glass cases. Charon and Saturn are inside as well.
"It is done, Saturn," Charon said. He grinned.
"Wonderful. Our goals are closer than ever," Saturn said.
"Saturn!" Sora called out. Saturn turned to see the group.
"So, it was you our forces were after. I should have known," Saturn said.
"It's over, Saturn! We know everything!" May said.
"And we know you're heading for Mount Coronet! It's never going to happen!" Rei said.
"You are more than welcome to stop us, but I'm afraid you're too late. The new world is close to being born, and Master Cyrus will make it all possible," Saturn said.
"Not if we have anything to say about it, Saturn!" Sora said.
"What you say has no relevance. We will not allow anyone who would dare interfere with Team Galactic goals!" Saturn said.
"We'll stop you jerks in your tracks!" Elaine said.
"Vee!" Maple said.
"And we won't let you get away with it!" Ethan said.
"We already have!" Charon said as he laughed. "We have everything we need for the creation for the new world. The Lake Guardians have served their purpose."
"What purpose?" Wes asked.
"You see, the Lake Guardians are the keys that would create the Red Chain. The Red Chain has the power of the Lake Guardians themselves," Charon said.
"What was that about the meteorites in Veilstone City?" Sora asked.
"I'm glad you asked. You see, the meteorites were one of the keys needed for the creation of the Red Chain, but thanks to your unexpected meddling, that plan has failed, but luckily, there was another way. The Lake Guardians would create the Red Chain with or without the meteorites," Charon said.
"And now, you shall meddle, no more!" Saturn said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Toxicroak!" His Pokéball opened and Toxicroak came out from inside. Croagunk stepped in, intending to battle his evolved form.
"Must we repeat this again? Your Croagunk could never defeat my Toxicroak, and this time is no exception," Saturn said.
"There's a first time for everything," Sora said. Saturn scoffed.
"Poison Jab!" Saturn ordered. Toxicroak rushed at Croagunk with a Poison Jab.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Croagunk dodged it. "Use Mud-Slap!" Croagunk hurls a ball of mud and it hits Toxicroak in the face. "Okay, use Brick Break!" Croagunk prepares a Brick Break, but Toxicroak blocked with her arm.
"Dark Pulse!" Saturn ordered. Toxicroak fired a Dark Pulse, hitting Croagunk on the mark. "Use X-Scissor!" Toxicroak crosses her arms and prepares to hit Croagunk with it.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Croagunk tried to dodge, but Toxicroak came too fast for Croagunk to do it. Croagunk struggled to stand up after the heavy damage he took. "Okay, Croagunk! Use Foul Play!"
"Poison Jab!" Saturn ordered. Toxicroak moved in to deliever a Poison Jab, but Croagunk saw that coming a mile away, so he lands a hit on his evolved form with Foul Play. "What?!"
"Drain Punch!" Sora ordered. Croagunk lands a strong punch and it restores some of Croagunk's stamina. "Bullet Punch!" Croagunk lands a Bullet Punch on his evolved form. "Bulldoze!" Croagunk stomped on the ground, making it shake underneath Toxicroak. "Now, finish Toxicroak off with Brick Break!" Croagunk jumped up in the air and brings his hand down, delievering the finishing blow to his rival. Saturn was shocked to see it. "Croagunk! You finally beat Toxicroak!"
"Gunk!" Croagunk began to evolve.
"Croagunk is evolving!" Ash said. Croagunk has now become a Toxicroak. He stood before and he grinned.
"My Toxicroak was defeated by a Croagunk?" Saturn asked. Rei took out a rope and used it to lasso Saturn and Charon. She tied them both up.
"You've lost. Now, where's this Red Chain?" Rei asked.
"It's too late for that. Cyrus already has it in his possession. And he is probably already heading for Mount Coronet by now. You won the battle, but you've lost the war," Charon said.
"That's what you think," Rei said.
With that said, the group freed the Lake Guardians from the cases.
"You're safe," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"We gotta get them out of here," Naminé said.
Agreeing with Naminé, they take the three Lake Guardians out of Team Galactic's base along with Saturn and Charon as their prisoners. They weren't aware of Hunter J and her Salamence nearby. Her hovercraft is cloaked of course. As soon as they stepped out J sprang into action.
"Flamethrower!" J ordered. Salamence fired a Flamethrower. Sensing it, they dodged the fire attack. They see her hovering above.
"Pokémon Hunter J!" Sora exclaimed.
"Not her again," May groaned.
"I gave you your final warning at the Snowpoint Temple, so I'm going to do what I should have done the last time. Just so you will never meddle again. After that, I'll be taking those three Pokémon," J said.
"No! The Lake Guardians are going to return to the lakes! That way, they can be safe!" Sora said.
"I don't care about the three lakes. I only care about making a fortune. And those three Pokémon are going to make it happen for me!" J said. The darkness in her heart began growing an alarming rate. "Salamence! Hyper Beam!" Salamence prepared to fire a Hyper Beam.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.
"Angel! Copycat!" Kairi ordered. As Pikachu fired Thunderbolt, Angel activates Copycat and fired a Thunderbolt along with Pikachu. The combined electrical attack shocks both her and Salamence. The both of them fell to the ground.
"You damn pests! I'm going to destroy you all!" J roared as the darkness has grown even more. It attracted the Heartless as several Shadows appeared all around her. "What?!" The Shadows even appeared on J's ship.
"What are they?!" J's second-in-command asked.
"Are they Pokémon?" Another henchman asked. The Shadows tackled them both as they screamed. The Shadows went for J's henchmen, causing the aircraft to lose control. J sees her aircraft going out of place.
"What the hell is happening in there?!" J demanded.
"Sir! Creatures of unknown origins have suddenly appeared on the ship! And they're-" The henchman was cut off when he screamed.
"Report! Report! Report or I'll make your life more of a nightmare than it already is!" J yelled. J's aircraft makes a crash landing. The aircraft then explodes. The Shadows lunged on her. "Let me go! I said let me go!" The Shadows even went for her Salamence. The Dragon Pokémon tried to break through, but there were too many Heartless to shake off. Salamence sinked into the darkness. The same could be said for J as she sinks into the darkness. She tried to break their grip, but she sinks even deeper into the darkness. "No!" She sunk into the darkness, leaving nothing of her behind. Pokémon Hunter J was now no more.
"The Heartless just took J," Leaf said.
"We were just standing there, totally helpless," Naminé said.
"She may have been an evil witch, but even she didn't deserve that," Xion said.
"There was nothing any of you could have done. There were too many to deal with," Rei said. Sora and Kairi knew it was from the vision they had, and they knew something had to be done.
"We gotta head for Mount Coronet. Cyrus is already heading there anyway," Sora said.
"Yeah. But how are we going to head there?" Kris asked. Jeeps drive in the area, and Cynthia is driving in one of them.
"Sora, Kairi, everyone. Glad we found you," Cynthia said.
"Cynthia, aren't we glad to see you? Your timing is more than perfect," Lucas said.
"How did you find us?" Riku asked.
"It was your friend Tai and the others who told me the situation. So, I rounded up Sinnoh's police officers to look for you," Cynthia said.
"Great! We have to get ti Mount Coronet as fast as possible," Sora said.
"That's where Cyrus and his thugs are heading," Dawn said.
"Very well. But we must attend with the Lake Guardians as well," Cynthia said. She gave them all some medicine to help them recover from their injuries. They felt their energy back once they were fully healed. "You're alright now. Return to the lakes please." The Lake Guardians returned to their lakes. Azelf saw Lake Valor completely drained, so Azelf summoned a rain cloud and made it rain. The rain fills the dried up lake at a pace.
The group gets inside the jeeps and drives off to Mount Coronet as quickly as possible. Saturn and Charon had been taken into police custody. Will Sora, Kairi, and their friends be able to stop Cyrus's evil scheme before it's too late? Find out as we get to the next chapter.
