The cars arrived on Friday morning after Teddy had gone to school. Harry watched the men unload them onto the driveway and inspected them for any damage. Finding none he tipped them and sent them on their way, before running inside to the bookshelves to grab a little leather book that used to belong to Sirus. He had found the book in Sirius's room a while back and had treasured it ever since.

It was a small journal comprised of prank spells that Sirius came up with or found, as well as little anecdotes of his life. What Harry is looking for though is the charms Sirius used to enchant his motorbike. Ah, yes, there towards the end, he found them. Smirking evilly Harry rushed outside with the book and his wand.

He would have to, unfortunately, enchant each vehicle individually, but he reckoned he should be done by the time that Teddy came home from school. He started with Teddys Bugatti, as his gifts aways take precedence over his own pleasures. He charmed the car for invisibility with a flick on the dash, flying with a press on the control panel, impenetrability in case of accidents, cushioning charms, and bending charms like the Night Bus has to warp it through hard to get in areas. He also put a button on for the muggle repelling charms to make sure if he was using any of the magical additions he would not be seen by anyone who should not be seeing.

After decking out Teddys car he took a small lunch, before heading back outside and doing the same for the two Ducati motorcycles he bought for an extra surprise. When he finished it was almost time for Teddy to come home so he conjured a large electric blue blow to rest on his car, and a smaller one for his matching bike. Harry's bike was forest green the exact color of the sun shining through the leaves, matching his Cadillac and was his favorite color.

Harry decided to work in the garden some while he waited for Teddy to get home. He had a camera next to him so he wouldn't miss the moment. Harry was pulling out a particularly stubborn weed when he heard the soft rumbling of his car coming up the drive. He stood up, brushing the dirt off his trousers, and turned the camera on just in time to start snapping pictures of Teddy's beaming smile as he got out of the car and ran towards his new car.

"No way!" Teddy crowed in glee, "No way! No Way! No Way! It's heeeeeere!" He circled around the car and plastered his chest to the hood while patting it with stars in his eyes.

Harry snapped a few more pictures before digging the keys out of his pocket and jingling them. The sound made Teddys eyes snap up to him. Harry's grin could have split his face as he said, "Wanna take it for a spin?"

Teddy launched himself from the car into his dad's arms. Harry spun him around with the momentum generated from the launch, laughing while Teddy said, "thank you! thank you! thank you!" over and over again. Harry gave Teddy the keys and they both settled into the new car.

"Now before we get started, I added a few extras," Harry said. Teddy looked at his dad with curiosity, fingers caressing the wheel in wonder. "Here's the button that will make the car muggle repellent, here's the one that will make it invisible, and here's the one that will make it fly! You have to engage them in that order Teddy, you never know who could be watching. I also charmed the car so it will bend around people and buildings like the Night Bus does, impenetrability so it won't get damaged easily, and cushioning charms so you'll be safe too. I know this car is really fast but if you get a speeding ticket carting one of you're muggle friends around I'll take the keys away for a week."

Teddys eyes which had been glowing more and more in excitement dimmed slightly and he nodded seriously to show he understood. "How in the world did you learn how to do these charms dad? Why didn't you ever do them to our other cars?"

"Your Uncle Sirius, had a little book he wrote the charms he tricked his motorbike out with, and this car is too awesome to leave alone. I know you'll want to go fast and this way I know you can go fast and not die or kill anyone else. I tricked out the motorbikes I got for us with the same spells too."

"Motorbikes?! You got us motorbikes?" Teddy all but squealed hair turning bright pink just like his moms used to.

Harry just laughed as his eyes twinkled, "you didn't see them next to your car when you came in?"

"No dad! I was too busy admiring this baby!" For emphasis he turned it on, the soft purr of the engine igniting a need for speed in the men inside. "Buckle up dad, we're going on a joyride!"

Teddy pressed the button for invisibility, then muggle repelling, but didn't do the flying yet as he wanted to enjoy the full power of the car itself before flying around. He put the car in drive and off they were, speeding through the world, laughing uproariously, listening to music and straight goofing off. At one point Teddy drove to the edge of a cliff and hit the fly button and drove straight off it! They drove and flew west for hours until they made it to the Pacific Ocean just in time for the sunset. They flew out over the ocean until they couldn't see any land and put the car in park. Hovering over the ocean with the sun slowly setting Teddy and Harry were content.

"Hey dad?" Teddys soft voice chimed.

"Yeah bud?" Harry answered, turning to give his full attention to his son.

"I'm scared." Teddy said while looking at the ocean ahead.

"Why?"

"Well. I'm 17 now, an adult in the eyes of the Wizarding world, and one year away from being an adult in the muggle world too. Now you've given me this car and I feel like I could go anywhere with it! That made me think about how I'm supposed to go off on my own soon too. Live my own life, be more independent, you know? And I don't know what I'm going to do, and that scares me. I don't want to leave you all alone either. And I know I'll die one day, and you can't die, and I would be leaving you here all alone. And that makes me really sad and scared and I just don't know what to do! And If I go off on my own I'm going to miss you so much and what if I can't reach you when I need you if I'm far away." Teddy took a deep breath and continued while looking at his dad, tears briming in his eyes.

"How did you know what to do when you were my age dad? What should I do? I don't want to leave you, you're my pack."

Harry had tears in his eyes too. He unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned over to hug his son hard. "Oh Teddy, when I was your age, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Your parents had died and it was the end of the War. I only had the Weasleys, Grandma Andromeda, Hermione, Nevile and Luna. They were all off living their lives except Grandma Andromeda who wanted to raise you too. All I cared about was you, I always wanted a family and you were a gift that kept me grounded in a sea of uncertainty. I knew I had to raise you right and give you a life where you could be happy, and you gave me a life that I could never have imagined full of more joy than I ever thought I could deserve."

He pulled back from the hug to look Teddy in the eye, "I am so proud of you and the man you have become and I will always be there for you. You can stay with me for as long as you want, and go off on your own for as long as you want. If you go off though, you're getting a two way mirror and I expect you to call me often!" Teddy nodded quickly in agreement. "As for not knowing what you want to do, that's okay bud, you're still so young! How about when we go into Mystic Alley we buy a few books on Wizarding careers and I can see about getting you some shadow experience, we can do the same with the muggle world too! You are lucky because we're rich. That means you can really do anything you want and take as long as you want to figure it out. Life isn't that simple my Teddy bear, it's okay to take your time."

Teddy just nodded some more and unbuckled his seatbelt to hug his dad again, crying a bit onto his shirt as the sun set completely and the moon shined down on the waves. They switched seats awkwardly by climbing over each other inside of the car, and Harry flew and drove them home as Teddy fell asleep, emotionally spent, but happily content to face the world tomorrow.
