Chapter 215: It Ain't Easy Being Breezies
A week had gone by after Flim and Flam sold their fake and highly illegal tonics, having gotten exposed for being frauds and for using Dragon's blood, whether they knew about the side effects or not. Spyro was hard at work on the antidote for Granny Smith, who was keeping to staying indoors as much as possible as, even though everypony was use to seeing Spyro all the time, she felt embarrassed and insecure about how she looked with her dragon features. But while Spyro was working on the antidote, he had to chase Granny Smith out a few times and get into a stand off with her to keep her away from the tonic so that she wouldn't drink more of it and make her situation worse than it already was. As he was working on the cure, Fluttershy was coming to the garage, looking excited as she landed on the ground and rushed in.
"Spyro!" Fluttershy shouted. "Spyro! Guess what!?"
"HEAD UP!" Spyro shouted. Flutterhsy immediately ducked for cover as an explosion followed, tossing Spyro out of the garage and onto the ground, covered in soot as he got up, shaking it off as he started walking back to the garage. "Guess I added too much of the tonic to the mixture, causing it to explode. Gonna need to remember that."
"Spyro, the Breezies are coming!" Flutterhsy said happily.
"Wait, the breezies are coming here to Ponyville?" Spyro asked.
"Yes, they are." Fluttershy replied. "Everypony else is so excited for the Breezies to be coming through. I already filled them in on what we need to do. But I'm going to need your help most of all."
"Anything little butterfly." Spyro said.
"Well, the Breezies mostly rely on the wind to take them to and from their home to their intended location and back again." Fluttershy said. "I need your help to make the breeze that will help them to get back home. But they are very tiny and even the slightest thing going wrong could ruin their whole schedule."
"Sure thing Fluttershy." Spyro said, kissing her on the cheek. "I'll help anyway I can."
"Uh, thanks." Fluttershy said, blushing. "Oh, and I was thinking about a special cheer for the little Breezies too. But nothing too loud. I dont want it to startle them and break their concentration."
"I'm more worried about there being an attack on the village." Spyro said, looking to Ponyville. "With so many ponies gathered in a single area, it's the perfect target for the Heatless."
"But we haven't seen them in months." Fluttershy said.
"That's what worries me." Spyro said, looking back to Fluttershy. "Don't worry, you can count on me to help. When do ya need me?"
"Tomorrow morning." Fluttershy replied as Granny Smith snuck into the garage. "And remember, we need to keep this nice and quiet."
"Not a problem little butterfly." Spyro said, a small explosion going off followed by Granny Smith coughing and running out of the garage. "Nice and quiet."
Fluttershy smiled at him as she flew off back into the sky, Spyro walking back into the garage to continue with his work on an antidote for Granny Smith, but as he was walking back into the garage, Pete popped out, smiling as he got an idea, disappearing into the shadows as a corridor opened up. The next day, everyone was preparing for the arrival of the Breezies, some musicians playing mexican music whioe others were running around, chatting about what the Breezies looked like and what they would be doing this far away from their home. Rainbow Dash was in the air seeing how fast the breeze was, seeing that it was too fast and went to Cloud Chaser and Flitter to let them know.
"Hey you guys, that breeze is too strong!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "You gotta slow it down ot else the Breezies are going to get torn apart!"
"Hey Rainbow Dash." Spyro said, flying up to them.
"Oh, hey Spyro." Rainbow Dash said. "Glad you could make it."
"Hey, I wouldn't miss this for the world." Spyro said, looking around. "And it looks everything's going well."
"Yeah, if we can keep the breeze the same." Rainbow Dash said. "Think you can help us with your wind magic?"
"You got it little rainbow." Spyro said, kissing her on the lips, which surprised her and made her face turn red, looking back to Cloud Chaser and Flitter, who ber both snickering at seeing how red Rainbow Dash was as the kiss ended.
"What are you two snickering at!?" Rainbow Dash shouted, which only made them burst out laughing.
"But what I don't understand is why the pegasi need to make a breeze for the Breezies." Mr. Cake said, Spyro looking down.
He saw that Mr. And Mrs. Cake had brought cupcakes to the party and Spyro flew down to stand next to them.
"Well, the Breezies magic is relies on the breeze itself." Fluttershy replied. "It helps to protect the pollen they are carrying, that way it won't get destroyed. This way, they have it ready for when spring rolls around."
"So, if there is no breeze, then there won't be any magic, and that means the pollen goes bad?" Mr. Cake asked.
"That actually sums it up perfectly." Spyro said, walking up. "From what Fluttershy told me and from what I read up on all Equestrian Magical Creatures, they have a limited number of days to get back home before the portal closes and they'll be trapped here for the winter."
"Which it will close in two days." Fluttershy said. "That's why we want to make sure they make it home safely."
"Oh my, then we don't want to scare them and divert them away from their path home." Mrs. Cake said.
"You definitely know a lot about them." Mr. Cake said.
"Oh, thank you." Fluttershy said. "I actually got to visit them in Western Equestria gather pollen." A moment later, there was something shining brightly coming from behind, both Fluttershy and Spyro looking, but Spyro shut his eyes tightly, putting his hooves over them as Rarity was wearing a very bright purple cape, showing it off as her own stomache bulged out a bit, showing signs of her own pregnancy as she smiled. However, Fluttershy put on some sunglasses and walked over, wanting to talk to her. "Uh, Rarity, I hate to be a critic when it comes to fashion, but-"
"Oh, there's too much purple on this, isn't there?" Rarity asked. "I took some inspiration from Spyro's purple coat before it got darker due to his evolutions. I knew there was too much purple. But Twilight refused to say anything about it."
"WHAT!?" Twilight exclaimed loudly, looking annoyed. "Rarity, I didn't even know you were going to wear that thing!"
"Oh, no, no, it's the perfect amount of purple." Fluttershy replied. "It's just, there's a lot of sequins in that jacket."
"You're telling me." Spyro said, keeping his back to her and his eyes shut. "That thing is so bright, with my dragon eyes, I could have gone blind."
"Oh darling, please." Rarity said, walking over to Spyro and leaning into him. "One can never have too many sequins."
"But with how many sequins that are on that jacket, it's reflecting the light from the sun." Fluttershy said. "And if that happens, then it could blind the breezies and if that happens, they'll go off course and never get home!"
"Oh my." Rarity said. "I guess one can have too much sequins."
"Thank goodness." Spyro said.
"I'll just take this off then." Rarity said. As she removed the jacket, Spyro opened his eyes, which turned out to be a big mistake as he looked, Rarity was wearing a white dress that had even more sequins on it, blinding Spyro as his eyes got hit, making him yell in pain as he collapsed. "Spyro!"
"My eyes!" Spyro exclaimed. "My eyes!"
"Everypony, it's time." Twilight whispered, getting their attention while Spyro got up, though his eyes were still closed, his eyes watering as he stood. "Let us welcome the Breezies."
They all looked up and saw a group of miniature pixie like ponies with fairy wings, all flying overhead, everyone looking at them in wonder and amazement while Spryo was wiping his eyes, looking up to try and see.
"I can't see a thing." Spyro whispered. "What am I missing? What do they look like?"
"Why they're the cutest thing Ah've ever seen in my life." Applejack whispered. "They remind me of Apple Bloom when she was born."
"And look at those adorable little packs they are carrying their pollen in." Rarity whispered.
"And I'm missing it all." Spyro said, trying to blink to see again.
"So cute." Pinkie said, trying her best not to scream. "Can't... take... it."
"Ugh, come on!" Spi8ke whispered, trying not to shout as he tried top find a spot to see the Breezies.
"Spike, where are you?" Spyro asked.
"Next to Pinkie." Spike replied. "I'm not that hard to see."
"Sorry, but my vision is kinda blurry." Spyro replied. "Rarity blinded me by accident. Hope on my back, you'll get a better view."
Spike smiled as he ran up, Spyro kneeling down to let the baby dragon hop on and lifted him up so he could see the Breezies, looking to happy to see them, but as he was watching, he spotted something above, a cloud of shadowy creatures that were hard to make out.
"Uh, Spyro, I think we got a problem." Spike said. "There's something heading for the Breezies."
"What is it?" Spyro asked. "What do they look like?"
"Uh, they look like... bats." Spike replied. "Bats with hooks."
"Hook Bats." Spyro said, looking up.
However as he did, one of the Hook Bats flew down through the Breezies, making a small group start going out of control while the others tried to get away as fast as they could, all screaming while the crowd of ponies screamed and ran for their lives.
"Heartless!?" Twilight asked, dodging a Hook Bat before calling her blade and cutting it in half. "What are they doing here!?"
"They're attacking the Breezies!" Rainbow Dash shouted, seeing them go after the group they separated. "Quick, make the breeze go faster, they need to get away!"
"But if we do that, they won't be able to catch themselves." Flitter said. "And the first group will be going too fast and they'll be separated from each other!"
"Spike, get off my back, quick!" Spyro said.
Spike hopped off and Spyro took off into the air, though his vision was still blurry, he could sense the Heartless start to change their targets from the Breezies to him, a few flying at him and, even though he couldn't see, he could feel them coming at him, hearing the flap of the wings and the blade swinging, practically whistling and he dodged the first one, spun around as his tail was covered in ice and sliced the other two that attacked, making them shatter like glass. On the ground, Rarity and Applejack had their blades out and were destroying the Heartless, protecting the ponies as they were running away while Twilight and Rainbow Dash remained in the air, doing what they could to keep the remaining Heartless in the air from getting to the fleeing ponies, but Fluttershy was more worried about the Breezies, seeing they were still flying around out of control as some of the Hook Bats were going after them, feeling something snap in her as she growled and flew up to save them. Meanwhile nearby, Pete was watching the whole thing from behind a tree, seeing the chaos unfold while he had a group of Power Wilds and Armored Knights ready to go.
"Hehehe, man it feels good to cause some chaos." Pete said, looking to Rarity and Applejack, which he saw that the orange Earth pony was already tired and panting. "How odd. That ones got the most stamina out of the entire group, next to the prince of course. I wonder what's changed?"
"AJ, behind you!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
Applejack looked behind her and a Hook Bat slicer her across the back, making her yell in pain as she nearly fell to the ground, catching herself as the bat flew off.
"Oh, that's gotta hurt." Pete said, chuckling to himself. However, a second later, he noticed that a green aura was surrounding Applejack, which caught his attention as she pushed herself up and yelled in rage, the earth underneath her erupting as waves of green energy lifted the rocks and leaves, sending them flying everywhere as large chunks of rock and razor sharp leaves either smashed into or cut the Hook Bats to pieces, making Pete duck behind the tree and only popped his head back out when it was safe. "That's new. Since when did the orange pony get that much power?"
"AJ, you ok!?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yeah, Ah'm alright." Applejack said, looking at the scratch. "Ain't nothin' life threatenin'."
"AJ, you and Rarity need to get out of here and to someplace safe!" Rainbow Dash said, dodging another bat.
"We can still fight!" Applejack shouted back.
"Not while you're both pregnant!" Rainbow Dash replied, which perked Petes ears. "Get to someplace safe while we deal with these things!"
"Not happening darling!" Rarity replied, cutting another bat in half. "You need all the help you can get!"
"Rarity, behind you!" Applejack shouted.
The fashion mare looked behind her and saw that an Armored Knight appeared, raising it's blade to try and strike her, but as Rarity screamed, her eyes started to glow and the ground erupted again, creating a wave of ice that froze the Heartless and some of the Hook Bats, making them fall to the ground in a froaen prison, which the fashion mare looked surprised about that while Pete looked worried.
"This is not going to what I had planned." Pete said. "Heartless, fall back! We'll get them another time. But now, I got a little something to bring back to Maleficent. She and that Salem chick might find it very interesting."
He then snapped his fingers and the Heartless then began to fall back, the Hook bats stopping their attack against the Keyblade bearers and against the Breezies right as Fluttershy flew up to them, fleeing the area as they disappeared into the void. However, one of the Breezies was trying to help one of it's friends from flying out of the breeze, but they slipped out of their hooves and was drifting away, but Fluttershy managed to catch her and held onto her as she went to the center of the group while the lead Breezy was telling them something while Spyro used the wind to slice through the fleeing Hook Bats.
"He's right!" Fluttershy said, understanding what they were saying. "You need to gather as close as you possibly can!"
They followed the order by all attaching themselves onto Fluttershy to avoid being blown away, the crowd cheering for them as Spyro called the lightning, hitting the remaining Hook Bats that were fleeing as his vision returned.
"Oh, now my vision decided to come back!" Spyro exclaimed, turnign to Fluttershy as she was landing in front of a rock, the lead Breezy speaking to her, though Spyro couldn't understand what he was saying.
"Oh, I can understand creatures of all kinds." Fluttershy said.
"Oh, you must be so proud." The breezy leader said, surprising Spyro.
"Holy smack, you understand our language?" Spyro asked.
"Ay, I do, but these lot can only understand you when you speak Breezy." The lead Breezy replied. "Clearly they aren't the brightest bunch around."
However, as he said that, the other Breezies started protesting, not taking the insult lightly as they all complained.
"I take it you're not exactly the most liked out of all the Breezies, are you?" Spyro asked.
"That... was... amazing!" Pinkie shouted, clearly happy.
"I'm just glad the Heartless didn't do any damage to the breezies." Fluttershy said.
"Heartless?" The lead breezy asked. "So those things were the Heartless? I only heard of them, but never got to see them."
"You had the displeasure of meeting a whole colony of Hook Bats." Spyro said. "We haven't seen any Heartless in Equestria for nearly a year. And for them to show back up now, it's concerning."
"Sorry for not being able to make a breeze to get you back to the others." Rainbow Dash said.
"Oh, don't worry about it Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy said. "It's not your fault."
"Well I for one am very proud of youy Fluttershy." Twilight said, hugging her.
"That goes double for me." Spyro said. "You leapt into the danger without a second thought to save the Breezies from the Heartless."
"Oh, I'm inspired to design you a special hero's gown." Rarity said. "Or... maybe a sash. Definitely a sash."
"Well, we better get the breeze going again." Spyro said. "We need to get these little guys on their way back home before the portal closes."
However, as he said it, all but the leader latched onto Fluttershy, all wanting to stay while the leader didn't look very happy with what they wanted to do.
"Uh, maybe we should wait a moment or two." Fluttershy said. "Just until they are ready to go back on their way. They've been through so much."
Everyone looked at one another, unsure of if this was a good idea, but just shrugged it off as they knew Fluttershy took care of a lot of animals all the time and knew that she could take care of the Breezies as well.
"Well, if you ever think they're ready to go, just let us know." Rainbow Dash said.
However, Spyro knew that this wasn't exactly the best idea and looked to the leader, who seemed to look kind of worried as he looked at the group of Breezies all hugging Fluttershy. At her cottage, the Breezies were busy exploring their new surroundings, some in the bird houses, some taking up space on some of the pet beds, but some of the animals didn't look happy that they were invading their space. Fluttershy was walking back into the living room while Spyro was sitting on the couch, a couple of the Breezies on his head while the leader was on his shoulder, watching them enjoy their surroundings while one Breezy looked to be freezing.
"Oh Twirly, you look cold." Fluttershy said. She then walked over to the tissue box and pulled out a tissue, wrapping it around the cold Breezy, which she thanked her in her native language, which Spyro couldn't understand. "Oh, no problem." She then looked down and saw another Breezy holding a tiny glass, holding it out to Fluttershy as if asking for more water. "Oh, you want more water?" She then got a small eye dropper and dipped it into a glass of water, getting some before putting a drop in the tiny glass for the Breezy, who drank the water with glee before Fluttershy put the eye dropper back. "Now, who else needed a hoof knited sweater?"
She held up a sweater and one Breezy took it, others cheering as they all wanted one, which Spyro looked at the leader and saw he wasn't cheering and just looked annoyed, sensing that he was in a hurry.
"Hey there!" Applejack said, she and Twilight walking in. "Can we come in?"
"Oh, of course." Fluttershy said, Applejack walking in, but Fluttershy rushed over and stopped her. "But watch your step. Some of the Breezies are on the floor."
Applejack looked down and saw one of the Breezies shaking on the ground, nearly squashed by her hoof.
"Oh, sorry little guy." Applejack said, the Breezy climbing up into Fluttershy's mane.
"We just came over to see if the Breezies were ready to give it another try." Twilight said.
"Wait, has it been an hour already?" Fluttershy asked.
"It has." Spyro said, getting up.
"Oh my, time certainly flies when you're making little creatures you're abandoning them to the cold, cruel world." Fluttershy said.
Spyro and the Breezy Leader looked out the window and saw that there was nothing cruel about it as a butterfly flew by, seeing the leaves change color while the temperature was a little nippy, but it was still alright.
"But they're not going to a cruel world little butterfly." Spyro said, walking up. "Sure, it's a bit nippy, but there's nothing cruel about it."
"Yeah, they're going home, aren't they?" Twilight asked
"Oh yes, they are." Fluttershy said. However, a moment later, the Breezies instantly started panicking, saying something while hugging Fluttershy as if telling her they aren't ready to go. "On second thought, I don't think they're quite ready."
Thatw as when the Breezy leader started saying something in his native tongue, which Fluttershy was shocked by what he said as he turned his back, making Fluttershy blush from what he said.
"Uh, come again?" Applejack asked.
"You don't want to know." Fluttershy said, still blushing.
"Yeah, you don't need to know the language to tell he's ticked." Spyro said.
"Ok, well, I'm sure you know what you're doing." Applejack said, she and Twilight walking out of the cottage. "No pony knows magical creatures like you do."
"We'll just wait for your word." Twilight said. "In the meantime, we'll make sure there are no more Heartless around."
"Thank you." Fluttershy said. "I'll be in touch soon."
Fluttershy then closed the door, lookign back at the little Breezies as they all smiled at her.
"We need to go now!" The Breezy leader said, getting on Spyro's head. "We need to get home or else the portal will close. Oh, I wish we did not need that stupid breeze to activate our magic or I would just force you to fly home right now." Fluttershy looked shocked by what he said, looking to the Breezies who seemed to be scared of him while Spyro could see how annoyed and angry he was, but could also sense there was another reason. "Why do we even need magic to keep our pollen safe?"
"Now, now Sea Breeze." Fluttershy said, walking up to him.
"And why are you giving into these whimps!?" Sea breeze shouted.
"Oy, back off!" Spyro exclaimed, his forehead getting warm for him as he hopped off and got onto the couch. "Fluttershy cares about magical creatures and she's trying to make sure that they're ready to continue after being attacked by the Heartless. That's something you don't recover from quickly."
"Bah, if they haven't been scared in the first place, this never would have happened!" Sea Breeze replied, crossing his forelegs.
"Well that's not true." Fluttershy said as the Breezies all got on Fluttershy's back. "It was because of the Heartless that this happened and you know it."
"Oh please!" Sea Breeze replied, getting in her face. "They have no idea what they're doing out there! Like you said, we need as much time as we can get because they are so incompetent!"
"Well, I didn't say that exactly." Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, she didn't say anything like that." Spyro said. "They seem to know exactly what they're doing, but you seem to be a bit too aggressive and seem to belittle them."
"Ha, that's a laugh!" Sea Breeze replied.
He was continuing to be aggressive, keeping his back to them while the other Breezies stayed on Fluttershy's back.
"Well, maybe a snack will help lighten the mood." Fluttershy said, which the Breezies all cheered as the yelow pegasi walked away, but Spyro stayed behind, looking at Sea Breeze as he kept his forelegs crossed. Fluttershy then got all of the Breezies some snacks from cookies to cupcakes, fruits, whatever she could get for the little guys, who ate with glee and were extremely happy, all gathering on the couch. "There, now that you've had some rest and had something to eat, you all now have a little bit of energy and are strong enough to face the breeze."
"I hope so." Spyro said, looking to them. "It won't be long before the portal closes."
"Oh, I hope I made you all feel loved and special." Fluttershy said. "But it's time for you all to go. No pony will deny-"
"There is nothing special about thee loosers!" Sea Breeze shouted, walking up in front of the group. "They cannot handle a simple breeze home! If they just stuck with the program and listened to me, we would be safe at home!" His previously aggressive appearance was then replaced by one of sadness and worry, lo9oking depressed as he flew over to the door. "Home, where every Breezy is like us."
Spyro could sense that he was worried about making it back home, seeing a look that he knew as he looked to Fluttershy.
"Well, that was an... interesting pep talk." Spyro said. "But I do know that if you don't leave soon, you might not be able to make it home."
Some of the Breezies looked at one another, one of them getting an idea as they pretended to cough, nudging for one of them to follow suit, pretending to be sick.
"Oh my, I didn't know you had a cold." Fluttershy said, all of them pretending to be sick and pretend to have colds. "All of you?" They all started to cough, pretending to be ill, which Spyro raised an eyebrow as he wasn't fooled. "Oh my, I can't let you go out there sick. What kind fo a friend would I be if I did that?"
The Breezies all hugged Fluttershy, glad to be staying while Sea Breeze looked angry, rushing into one of the burd houses to say something while ranting. A while later, Rainbwo Dash, Cloud Chaser, and Flitter were heading to Fluttershy's cottage, the cyan colored pegasi knocking in the door to get her attention, opening the door to see them.
"Hey Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash said. "Just wanted to check and see if the Breezies were ready to go. Time's running out for the Breezies to make it to their home."
"Oh yes, I mean, they're... not quite ready." Fluttershy said, closing the door. "They need a few more minutes."
Fluttershy then closed the door, Rainbow Dash looking at the two other pegasi as they hoped that they would be ready soon, otherwise it might be too late. Inside, the Breezies were having a party, drinking juice, dancing, music, basically having time and Fluttershy was having fun with them, which Spyro was shaking his head at them all for wasting time while Sea Breeze was furious, rushing over and grabbing a saxophone that one Breezy was playing and slamming it, getting their attention as they all groaned at the music being stopped.
"What is wrong with all of you!?" Sea Breeze shouted. "Why are you spending your time doing this!? At this rate, I'll never get home!"
"Sea Breeze has a point." Spyro said, walking up. "The more time you guys waste, the closer the portal to your home will be to closing."
"I'm afraid to say it, but they're both right." Fluttershy said. "Breezies, it's time for you to return home. I'll go get Rainbow Dash and the others so that you can get home." As she was walking however, some of the Breezies grabbed her tail, all shouting as they didn't want to go, which got her attention. "Oh, you're all awfully anxious. Oh, I don't want you to feel abandoned. Or that I wasn't the most kind host I can be."
"Fluttershy, a moment if you please." Spyro said, which he pulled her aside to talk with her privately. "I'm sorry Fluttershy, but I'm afraid I have to put my hoof down. They need to go now."
"But... but I don't want them to feel abandoned." Fluttershy said. "Oh, it wouldn't be very nice to let them go out there when they aren't ready."
"Ready or not, they need to return home." Spyro said, putting his hoof on her shoulder. "The one thing I love about you Fluttershy is that you have one of the kindest hearts out there. But there is such a thing as being too kind."
"But they-" Fluttershy began to say before Spyro held his hoof up to stop her.
"I'm sorry Fluttershy, but the answer is no, they cannot stay." Spyro said. "Besides, it's not fair to Sea Breeze either. I can sense he's really anxious and wants to go home, whether he'll wait for the others or not."
"But-" Fluttershy said, tyring to say something.
"No buts Fluttershy." Spyro said, firm yet gentle with his words. "If they wait any longer, they'll miss their chance to return home and won't see their families again." As he said that, some of the Breezies gasped, not having thought about that as they were too busy having a good time, now understanding that they needed to leave. "We need to convince them that they need to go home."
"I... I guess you're right." Fluttershy said. She and Spyro both walked over to the Breezies, but as they did, they noticed that Sea Breeze wasn't there, which worried them. "Wait, where's Sea Breeze!?"
One of the Breezies shrugged, indicating that they didn't know, so both ponies looked for Sea Breeze, trying to find him when Spyro noticed the little peep hole was open, indicating he went out that way.
"Oh no." Spyro said. "He went out the peep hole!"
Both Spyro and Fluttershy rushed to the window and watched as he was flying away with the Breeze, trying to get back home on his own and leaving the others behind.
"Oh no, he won't survive on his own!" Fluttershy said.
"We need to go after him, now!" Spyro said.
With Sea Breeze, he was riding the breeze trying to get back home, leaving the others behind to get back home, but the breeze was proving to be too strong for him to handle as he was tumbling and flying around randomly as he went past a couple of ponies, the breeze coming from them sent him flying as acorns started to fall from the autumn trees, just missing him as he was sent towards a beehive, yelling in fear as he went into the hive, looking in and seeing that there were a bunch of angry bees, pulling himself out of the hive and tried backing away from the bees, which they kept coming towards him until he stopped, seeing he had nowhere to go and there was no breeze, holding onto the branch as they got their stingers ready to sting.
"Uh, excuse me, bees." Fluttershy said, the bees and the breezy looking to Fluttershy as she and Spyro flew over to them. "Could you please back away from our Breezy friend? It was an accident. He didn't mean any harm."
"Yeah, he was just trying to get back home." Spyro pitched in. "You can understand that, don't you?"
The bees didn't listen as they got ready to sting him again.
"I'm working on a bee type dance and was wondering if you could help me with it." Fluttershy said, both the bees and Spyro looking at her, which Spyro started blushing as she was wearing the bee costume and shaking the bee singer she had made. "Does this bring to mind any images to you? Perhaps a bee?"
"Um, uh... oh boy." Spyro said. "That's actually a cute costume on you Fluttershy."
"Oh, thank you." Fluttershy said, blushing. However, the bees still didn't listen, getting ready to sting Sea Breeze, which Spyro got ready to protect Sea Breeze, but Fluttershy looked ticked. "Excuse me!" She then removed the costume, looking absolutely angry. "I have done nothing to you but be kind to you, but I guess that's not working. You bees know better than to harm a defenseless animal! So I am demanding that you go away now, or you'll be answering to me!"
The bees were freaked out, not use to seeing Fluttershy act like that and they fled, hiding in their hive as they shut the door, but Spyro was surprised at how forceful Fluttershy was.
"Oh, thank you." Sea Breeze said. "Thank you so much. I didn't actually expect you both to come after me."
"Of course we'd come after you." Spyro said. "We couldn't let a friend get hurt."
"Besides, Ponyville is very dangerous for you." Fluttershy said. "Even a tiny acorn can hurt you."
"Hence why I have been trying to get us to go from the very beginning." Sea Breeze said. "This place is so dangerous that it could seriously harm one of them."
"Oh my, I'm so sorry." Fluttershy said. "I was trying my best not to hurt any creatures feelings. But because of me, time is running out for you and you might never make it home." She looked upset, her wings flapping slowly as she remained in the air, but just barely. "It's all my fault."
"Hey, don't worry little butterfly." Spyro said, nudging her. "There's still time to reach the Breezies home. We just need to make a strong enough breeze that'll get them home. We can still make it in time."
"But I've been trying to tell tham that, but they never listen to me!" Sea breeze said, looking hopeless. "They never listen to me! Nobody listens to me."
They both looked at the hopeless look on Sea Breezes face, seeing that he was, sensing that he was worried about making it home in time while his mind was open to Spyro, seeing the reason he wants to get home and smiled.
"You want to get home to your wife and child, don't you?" Spyro asked, surprising him.
"How... how do you know that!?" Sea breeze asked, turning to face them. "How do you know I have a wife and child!?"
"Call it a fathers intuition." Spyro replied, surprising him. "I know of a fathers worry and I too have kids with a couple more on the way. I'd do anything to keep them safe and to see them everyday. You can't feel hopeless now."
"And I understand that your feelings are hurt, but it's difficult for them to understand while you're shouting and being mean all the time." Fluttershy said.
"But what about the bees?" Sea breeze asked. "You weren't very nice to them either. And it was the only way they listened."
"Yes, but they had to go." Fluttershy said. "And there was no other way to make them go." A second later, Fluttershy felt something awaken and looked at the Breezies wing, seeing a rainbow go across it and a rainbow appeared in her eyes, Spyro noticing this and knew what that meant. "We need to go. Now."
Fluttershy held out her hoof and Sea breeze hopped on and both ponies flew back to the cottage to get the other breezies, which once they got there, they gathered all of the Breezies so they could address them all together.
"Alright Breezies, we need to tell you something very important." Spyro said.
"We had to rescue Sea Breeze from serious harm." Fluttershy said. "ANd now I realize that you need to leave before it's too late and something very bad happens to you. You wouldn't survive in Ponyville."
The Breezies all rushed to try and change Fluttershy's mind, begging to not go, but Fluttershy looked firm in her decision.
"I'm sorry everyone, but we can't help you any further." Spyro said.
"But the fact is that I wasn't helping to begin with." Fluttershy said. "I now know that being nice wasn't the right way for me to handle this, but now I need to be firm and must ask that you go, now."
She then opened the door and pointed out the door, the Breezies looking sad as they started to fly out of the door while Sea breeze looked happy, nodding to them both as he flew after them, but as they left, Fluttershy started to cry, closing the door as she felt awful about what she had done.
"Hey, it's ok little butterfly." Spyro said, hugging her. "You did the right thing. You needed to be firm and let them know they needed to go home."
"Yes, but unfortunately I don't think they'll have enough time to get back home." Fluttershy said, both looking out as they flew away.
A while later, everyone was gathered outside with Rainbow Dash with Cloud Chaser and Flitter trying to get the breeze right so the Breezies can be on their way without blowing them away, but everytime they tried, it was either too strong or too weak.
"Ugh, this will never work!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "We can't get it right!"
"Oh my, with such a small group, they won't get home." Fluttershy said.
"But why?" Pinkie asked. "Why is a small group bad?"
"With a larger group, the breeze is distrubuted evenly throughout the entire group and they can fly by without any issue." Spyro replied. "But with a smaller group, then if the breeze is too strong, then they'll fly everywhere and end up hurt, but if it's too weak, then they won't be able to get home in time. It needs to be just right."
"Hold on, I've been studying a spell book from the castle of the two sisters." Twilight said. "I got a spell that can help us."
"How can it help?" Spyro asked.
"The spell can turn us all into Breezies." Twilight replied.
"Uh, are you sure that's a good idea?" Spyro asked, looking to Applejack and Rarity. "Won't the transformation have a negative effect on the babies?"
"Don't worry, I've studied the spell profusely and found a way that it wouldn't harm the unborn foals." Twilight said. "But the spell might feel a little weird, so you're going to need to trust me."
"Oh, I like feeling funny!" Pinkie shouted, everyone rolling their eyes.
Twilight's horn then started to glow and she fired a beam of magic to everyone, even hitting Spyro before turnign her magic to the Breezies, the same magic hitting them before they started to change, turning them all into Breezies, whcih they all looked at themselves as they, amazed that the spell worked as Fluttershy started to speak Breezy, confusing them.
"Oh, sorry." Fluttershy said. "I meant to say, let's go."
The group then took off into the sky, Flitter and Cloud Chaser flapping their wings gently that sent the entire group forward, flying through several areas that included forests, freezing ice plains, and into a desert, which one of the Breezies looked exhausted and nearly fell, but another caught her, Sea breeze looking back and seeing she was tired and looked to both Fluttershy and Spyro, both nodding as he knew what he needed to do. He flew over to help them and helped the breezy up, surprising them both.
"You got this." Sea Breeze said. "I'm sorry for how I've been treating you before. I'm sorry for calling all of you those names. I regretted saying those things and didn't mean a single one of them. I was worried we'd never make it home and that I wouldn't see my family again." He then looked back, seeing the smile on their faces as they continued. "You got this you two."
He then took them by the forelegs to help them catch up, everyone continuing on their way and at the end of a couple of days, they managed to reach the entrance to their home, seeing a small portal slowly closing. Thye all managed to get through the portal and as they did, they saw an entire city infront of them, Breezies flying everywhere.
"Holy minisized paradise!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
"Why, it's simply lovely." Rarity said. "Oh, this place has so much inspiration. I should have packed my sketchpad. I would have loved to have drawn some of the decorations here for a new design."
"SO STINKING CUTE!" Pinkie shouted.
"It's truly amazing." Spyro said.
A moment later, they saw an entire group of breezies come to them, loved ones and relatives, even friends who came to greet them and welcome them home and among the group was Sea Breezes wife and baby, Sea breeze flying to them and hugging them both, glad to see them again while Flutterhsy was crying tears of joy, loving the sight of a happy family reunited.
"You ok Fluttershy?" Applejack asked.
"Oh, it's nothing." Fluttershy replied, looking up. "I'm just so glad that they're all reunited with their families."
They were all looking at the Breezies and seeing how happy they were, but they didn't nptice that some flowers were growing around Fluttershy, blooming around her with a golden flower right in fromt of her. However, Rarity looked back and saw that the doorway was closing, knowing their exit was closing quickly.
"Uh, I hate to ruin the moment, but unfortunately the entrance, well I guess for us, our exit is closing." Rarity said. "We better get moving."
They all started to move, but Fluttershy stopped, flying up to everyone before she left.
"Goodbye Breezies." Fluttershy said. "I wish I could stay a little longer, but I really need to go."
A second later, Sea Breeze presented a flower to Fluttershy, catching her by surprise.
"Here, take this." Sea Breeze said. "To remember us by."
He then put the flower in Fluttershy's hair, which the yellow pegasi mare turned Breezy looked at it and smiled.
"Thank you." Fluttershy said. "I'll miss you all very, very much."
She then hugged Sea Breeze before heading to the exit, everyone going out of the hole before it could close, going through before it did, getting out just in time. A moment later, Twilight's horn glowed and she undid the spell, returning them to their pony forms.
"Hey Twilight, think you can turn me into a griffon?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I always wanted to know what it felt like to be one."
"Not a chance." Twilight replied, which Rainbow Dash looked disappointed.
"You sure?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No? Well, how about changing me into a dragon! I don't need to shoot fire!"
Spyro shook his head, smiling at Rainbow Dash as she ran after Twilight to try and convince her to change her into a dragon, which he looked to Fluttershy, smiling at her, but as he was looking at her, the flower then had the same rainbow wave pass over it, surprising him as Fluttershy looked at him.
"Is something wrong Spyro?" Fluttershy asked.
"Oh, nothing." Spyro said, snapping out of his thoughts. "Did Sea Breeze give that to you?"
"Oh yes, he did." Fluttershy replied. "To remember them by."
"Well, make sure you keep it watered then." Spyro said. "Don't want it wilting and dying on you." Fluttershy giggled a bit before she started trotting away, happy as can be, but Spyro pulled back his bracer and held it up for an image of AIVA to appear. "AIVA, I need you to add to the list of items that had that strange rainbow wave pass over it."
"Certainly sir." AIVA replied. "What am I adding?"
"Add an image of Fluttershy and a flower next to it." Spyro said, which the image then changed to the list with Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and now Fluttershy, each with an item next to their images. "A spool of thread for Rarity, a gold badge for Rainbow Dash, a Bit for Applejack, and now a flower for Fluttershy. What's the connection?"
"Hey Spyro, you coming!?" Rainbow Dash shouted, the image disappearing.
"Yeah, coming!" Spyro replied, spreading hsi wings and flying after them.
Meanwhile in the old castle in Sleeping Beauties world, Maleficent was punishing Pete for using the Heartless to attack Equestria, shooting a torrent of dark lightning at him as he howled in pain.
"You spineless, idiotic, pea brained buffoon!" Maleficent shouted. "Why did you waste all of those Heartless attacking Equestria again when we need them to find the Infinity Stones!?"
"I just wanted to cause some chaos." Pete said, which Maleficent made the eletricity stronger and made his scream loudly while Salem just watched, smiling as she enjoyed the show.
"You idiot!" Maleficent shouted. "Thanks to you, we now have fewer Heartless for the search! Give me one good reason why I shouldn't plunge you into a bottomless pit for all eternity!?"
"Because... the... prince... has... a... baby." Pete replied.
Maleficent was shocked, breaking her concentration as she released the spell and dropped Pete, makign him cough.
"Repeat what you just said." Maleficent said. "Did you just say that the Prince of Light and Darkness is having a baby?"
"Yes, he is." Pete replied, standing up. "In fact, he's having two. One with the white unicorn and the other with the orange pony in his herd."
"Hmm, interesting." Maleficent said, stroking the orb on her staff. "We could use this to our advantage."
"How so?" Salem asked. "If they're having his brats, you know he'll be waching them like a hawk to make sure nothing bad happens to them."
"That's just a minor detail." Maleficent replied. "One I think we can benefit from." A second later, both she and Salem felt something, looking around as they felt a great surge of power. "Did you feel that?"
"I did." Salem replied. "A surge of dark magic. But where?"
Maleficent then spread her arms and dark green mist poured out, filling the room as it split into two different worlds, one of which had a flying floating fortress over a volcano with what looked like a city filled with dragons underneath it while the other looked like a world with a ruined russian palace and an Eiffel tower underneath it, seeing both worlds as Salem got up.
"I sense a great deal of darkness coming from both of these worlds." Maleficent said. "But the strongest source is coming from this world filled with dragons."
"Hmm, fascinating." Salem said. "And the other?"
"It's strong, but also trivial." Maleficent replied. "Darkness brought forth from a deal made with demons and monsters. New recruits perhaps?"
"If so, then our alliance will only grow stronger." Salem said. "How do you wish to proceed?"
"I'll head to this world and check it out." Maleficent said, pointing to the world with the ruined palace and the Eiffel tower. "I want to see whhere this darkness is coming from. You should check on the other world and find out where that darkness is coming from and if we can harness it. Who knows? We might pick up some more people who hold a deep hatred for the Prince as much as we do."
Maleficent then started laughing, followed closely by Salem as they both laughed maniacally, Pete cowering in the corner as they continued to laugh and the green light glowed brightly, both of them disappearing as they left to see what they could find while their laughter echoed in Maleficents ruined castle.
