Night of Trapping the Aegis Heroes

Pyra is seen sleeping in the same room with Nia as the heroes are resting for the night to meet up with Cole in the morning so they can get the information about a way up to the World Tree, and the red hair Aegis is sleeping peacefully in her head.

(Mindscape)

Within Pyra's mind is the same beautiful grassy scene with the tree and the clear blue sky and some clouds, but she can sense something is wrong here and that's because there is someone else here too.

"This is… You can't come here." Pyra said, she didn't need to turn around to know that Malos is behind her, leaning his back against the tree.

"Charming! So, you're making the rules now, huh?" Malos grinned.

"You didn't come here to talk about the old days, did you?" Pyra asked. Already knowing that he must come here to talk about something serious if he invaded her mind like this.

Malos chuckles a bit, glad to see this girl wants to get to the point and decided to throw her a bone.

"We've snatched Minoth's little brat." Malos informed.

"No!" Pyra was shocked, worry for Iona being at the hands of him.

"Meet me at the place of your awakening. You remember it, right?" Malos asked. Seeing her react a bit means that she does remember that place.

"Oh, and… come alone." Malos added before vanishing from Pyra's mindscape.

(Back in Reality)

Nia groans a bit as she starts to wake up momentary and looks over to Pyra only to discover that the bed was empty.

"In the loo? I guess?" Nia said sleepy, thinking Pyra must've gone to the bathroom. But then a loud knock on the door woke her up in shock.

Nia quickly answers the door seeing Cattleya right outside.

"We got a problem." Cattleya said.

Quickly, everybody of Rex and Rana's group came rushing out including Vandham and Roc because they just got an urgent call from Cole who was waiting outside for them along with one guy with pointy ears.

"Old man Cole, this better be a good reason to wake us up like this." Ymir said before letting out a yawn.

"Easy kid, he wouldn't have if it wasn't important." Risty stated.

"So, what happened?" Vandham asked.

"Iona… She's gone! It must've been… them!" Cole was shocked and worried at the same time.

"Who's them?" Rex asked, not like this already.

"After you went, Malos… and some other guy paid me a visit." Cole informed.

"Malos was here?" Rex and Rana gasped at the same time.

"Oh dear, that means trouble is not too far from behind that man." Cattleya concerned, wondering what he wanted with Cole.

"Who was the other guy?" Nia asked.

"Didn't catch his name, but he had red glasses." Cole answered.

"That's Akhos! But what would he want with Iona?" Nia wondered.

"Wait, Nia! Where's Pyra?" Rex realized now that Pyra isn't with them.

"S-She wasn't there when I woke up…" Nia puzzled at the question.

"So, no one has seen Pyra before we all woke up?" Rana asked, feeling very worried for the girl even though she is the Aegis.

"I fear that Pyra may be with Malos right now. She must've gotten some kind of message from him, telling her about Iona and went off after them to save her." Cattleya guessed strongly.

"Can all that really be true?" Swan asked.

"Well, knowing those two… It's not unthinkable." Cole vouched for Cattleya's guess.

"That girl! Trying to save her on her own?" Nia sighed, couldn't believe Pyra would do something so reckless.

"Where's she gone? Didn't she leave a note?" Rex asked, worrying for Pyra.

"No, I'd have notice." Nia said.

"If Malos is setting up a meeting point with Pyra, it probably has to be a place where it means something to her like a favorite spot where she would go to or someplace where she was treated specially." Rana stated, trying to think of something that fits those descriptions.

"I know just the place for that, young man. I think it could be Olethro Ruins." Cole believed.

"Olethro Ruins?" Rex confused, never heard of the place before.

"It's where Adam led his army of resistance from. Five hundred years ago. It's the place where the Aegis woke up too." Cole explained, shocking Rex and Rana.

"It must be that Malos is trying to lure her down there, I'm sure of it!" Cole said.

"That means Pyra is walking right into a trap that she can't escape from, not as long as Iona is with them." Risty cursed those bastards, using a little girl to get their way makes her stomach twist in rage.

"Cole, tell us how to get there!" Rex said, hoping there's still time to save Pyra and save Iona too.

"It's at the top of the Great Stairway." Cole answered.

"Then we better get there as fast as possible." Rana said.

"Hey, fella! Take care of this old man for us, will ya?" Vandham requested which the strange agrees.

"Let's move! If we go now, maybe we can catch up to her!" Rex hoped they could catch up to her.

"(Pyra, please be alright when we get there.)" Rex thought worried again, and the group ran for the Olethro Ruins.

(Olethro Ruins)

Having to leave her friends and Driver behind like that wasn't something Pyra would do, but she had no other choice but to go along with Malos' demands or else risk the girl being harmed.

Pyra enters the area where Malos is waiting along with his Blade Sever.

"So lame. How long are you going to stay in that form?" Malos asked, turning around to meet her glare.

"That's none of your concern! I am who I am!" Pyra stated strongly.

"Where's Iona?" Pyra demanded, wanting to make sure the little girl is safe and still in one piece.

"Akhos is the meanest son of a bitch I know." Malos said and looked up at one spot of the audience seating.

Pyra turns her sight at the same spot and found Iona laying unconscious there, but she doesn't appear to be physical harm in anyway. So, that's good news.

"Son of a bitch!" Obrona giggled as she floats behind Akhos.

"Hmph. I still think we should have sent them a finger or something. But you know best." Akhos knew that Malos would know things better than himself.

Pyra can tell things may get tough if she doesn't play her cards right.

"You know what we're after, don't you?" Malos asked. Pyra would know that all too well.

"Jin… Is he on your side too?" Pyra asked, wanting to know more about the connection between him and Malos over the past 500 years since the great battle.

"I exist for his benefit. That's all I'm gonna say." Malos said.

"Really…" Pyra looked down, feeling sad that Jin is really on Malos' side. But now is not the time for feeling down, now is the time to fight for one little girl.

"Let's end this. Now." Malos stated as he unleashes a flying ether slash wave at Pyra.

Pyra quickly put up a barrier to protect herself even though got destroyed in one blow.

"Seriously? That's the best defense you can do? I thought you would be stronger than that." Melona mocked Pyra from behind.

"What the…?" Pyra shocked to find another one here.

That distract got Pyra to be hit by another flying slash attack and barely knocks her down to the ground, but she remains strong and refuses to fall though she groans in pain from that attack.

"Oh, maybe you are tough!" Melona impressed.

"Melona!" Malos yelled, getting the pink woman's attention.

"Get over here right now, I'm gonna be the one to end her." Malos stated with a firm look.

"Sheesh, I was just trying to have some fun." Melona rolled her eyes and turns into a pink slime going over to Malos and reformed herself behind him on the left.

"Just make it enjoyable for me to watch too." Melona smirked.

(With Rex's Group)

Rex and the others are running up the Great Stairway quickly as they can run fast then suddenly Rex screams a little in pain almost like he was hit by an invisible force.

"Rex!" Azurda and Rana worried for him.

"I'm ok, but Pyra's fighting alone!" Rex said.

"Oh no! Will she be okay even though she's the Aegis?" Rana asked.

"I rather not think about it, sometimes even legends die one way or another." Nia said.

"Come on, she's really close!" Rex said and ran up the stairs with everyone immediately going after him to save Pyra.

"(Pyra, I'll protect you and we'll fight together!)" Rex thought promised with determination.

(Back with Pyra)

Pyra kept on putting up one barrier after another to defend against the onslaught of flying slash attacks from Malos, able to protect herself but those attacks are strong and tiring the Aegis girl out.

"Well, well, I see I'm not the only son of a bitch." Akhos commented.

"Wow, that girl is still showing off that toughness. Maybe it's time to get a little rougher with her." Melona suggested.

"Maybe you're right." Malos said.

"You know this isn't going to end well for you. Think you can do it alone? Handle that power?" Malos asked.

Pyra's eyes widen upon knowing what power Malos is talking about, the power that was used to destroy the three Titans during that war 500 years ago which also brought down so many lives, and the reason why she was sealed away by Adam himself. She also knows that Malos is gonna try and use that power for his dark plans.

"I won't use that power! And I won't let you use it either!" Pyra determined and conjure a giant fireball about over two times her size and emitting a strong heatwave.

"Hmmm? You seem to be doing nicely without your Driver." Akhos complimented.

"That's to be expected since the Aegis Blade is a very special case to the normal rules of Blades, but I'm afraid that won't do." Melona shook her head while smiling.

"It's like you don't know who you're dealing with!" Malos readied himself.

Pyra threw the fireball at Malos with every strength and power she could muster into that attack, but the fireball was easily slashed away by one strike from Malos with his blade much to her shock.

"You can't beat me like that!" Malos said. Knowing he'll handle have to beat her harder in order to force her to use that power.

"Maybe alone, she can't!" Rana said.

"But maybe we can!" Rex said.

Malos became shocked upon hearing those two familiar voices and look up seeing both Rex while the red sword and Rana with Cattleya's sword, both jumped high and about to attack Malos with their combine strength.

"The kids?!" Malos shocked.

Sever and Melona got in front of Malos putting up a barrier to protect him from the two kids, they bounce off land next to Pyra.

"Rex! Rana!" Pyra shocked, but if those two are here now then that means the others aren't too far behind as well.

"Everyone!" Pyrah smiled at her friends.

"Vandham! Take Iona!" Rex ordered as the large man and Roc were already at Iona seeing that she is okay.

"Gotcha." Vandham nodded.

"While you're doing that, we'll take on those big meanies and teach them a lesson about hurting a little girl!" Rana handed the giant sword back to Cattleya and exchange it for the spear.

"Now I get to see how this little bunch managed to drive off Akhos and Obrona." Melona grinned as she licks her lips.

"Well, it comes to this." Akhos chuckled.

"Needs must! Obrona, do them in!" Akhos ordered as they jumped into the fray next to Malos and his Blades.

"Thought you'd never ask!" Obrona excitedly gets ready for the battle.

(Music: Blood Power Fame, coldrain)

The battle has begun with Rex and Rana attacking Malos along with Cattleya and Pyra backing them up, Risty goes in to strike at Malos for taking in a sweet innocent kid only to be interceptive by Melona with her pink sharp sword.

"Sorry, but Malos is in an important meeting right now. You can leave a message after you die!" Melona pushed Risty away several feet.

"Guess I'll have to make do with beating you down blue!" Risty glared and charges at Melona.

Melona giggles clashing her sword against Risty's mace and dodging a few kicks from Swan, both attacking the pink woman who is making this very difficult to land a hit on her, especially when she can make her body stretch and bend to move around and dodge their attacks.

Melona stretches herself around Swan for a strike on the back to knock her onto Risty.

"This one is going to be a problem." Swan pointed out.

"Yeah, very annoying problem." Risty added.

"Oh, are you guys saying that my face isn't adorable enough?" Melona asked sarcastically with an evil smirk.

"Yeah, thinking about bashing it in so much that you won't have a face anymore!" Risty threatened as she charges in with Swan's legbraces onto her legs.

"Oh, then how about this." Melona glowed pink for a moment.

Risty threw the kick that met with another kick causing a small shockwave and the kicker is, Risty facing against Risty herself.

"What the fuck?!" Risty shocked.

"Risty!" Ymir charged forward and swung her weapon at the false Risty sending her flying a bit.

"Oh darn, and here I thought we could play the confusing game. Thanks for ruining that for me, kid." "Risty" said sarcastically with her eyes glowing pink.

"What's going on? Why are we seeing another Risty here?" Swan asked.

"It's that Blade! It looks like her ability is to change her appearance into anyone she has met or seen just now to fool her enemies." Agata figured out.

"Wow, you actually figured that out pretty quickly!" Melona-Risty clapped her hands.

"Most people I fight would have a hard time figuring out they've been tricked before I kill them. It's kind of boring when there isn't a twist." Melona-Risty shrugged.

"But you should also know that I don't just take on the appearance of my enemies…" Melona-Risty smirked.

The fake bandit woman charges at the group throwing a strong kick attack that Risty blocks with shield, and quickly move back to narrowly dodge a mace attack from the faker as she does a few strikes that Risty quickly blocks.

"Those moves! Those are my moves!" Risty shocked.

"That's right! I can also do the exact same moves as my enemies too! It'll be like fighting against yourself, in a literal sense!" Melona-Risty revealed and landed a kick onto Risty's stomach pushing her back.

"Try copying us!' Ymir tossed the weapon into the air for Agata to grab then swings down to slam down onto the enemy, but Melona changed again to Agata and clash their weapons with the same strength.

"Sorry, but you're gonna have to better than that!" Melona-Agata smirked, but suddenly got a kick in the stomach by Ymir.

"Like how I know Agata would have a small opening whenever she swings her heavy axe!" Ymir smirked.

"Yes, we got her!" Agata smiled.

"Oh, do you now?" Melona-Agata smirked and show she made her body slimy again to make Ymir's foot go in deeper and stretching in.

"That was a good attack, but you're gonna have to do better than that!" Melona-Agata bounced Ymir away and pushed Agata down too.

"That girl, can't make up her mind about what face she wants to wear these days." Malos smirked before blocking some attacks from Rex and Rana.

"So, this is where you're really going with?" Akhos asked Nia.

"If you already knew the answer then why bother asking?" Nia jumped at Akhos attacking fiercely as he does well blocking them.

Obrona goes in to push Nia away from him, but Poppi dives down on her from above to the ground though she shocks her off and narrowly dodges a claw attack from Dromarch. Tora comes in to block Akhos from attacking Nia from behind, but he was push back as well.

"Tora!" Ymir gasped before dodging an attack from Melona now as Ymir.

"Do you kids really think you can beat us?" Malos asked.

"We know we will!" Rex and Rana believed.

The battle in Olethro Ruins with our heroes giving it their all against the enemies, but it's about to become even harder when Akhos and Obrona start playing their trump card. And perhaps this battle may also force Pyra to unleash "That power" Malos mentioned before.
