Lost Wind Awaken Ancient Light Aegis!

Rex rolls out of the way when Malos comes in to attack the boy when he was still on the ground and Akhos jumps away from Dromach's roar, and that's when the two met clashing their swords at each other and Rex was pushed back.

"(Got to make it count…)" Rex thought pointed his anchor wristband at Akhos and fired the anchor.

Akhos saw this but was too late to react when the anchor wraps around his leg and was pulled by Rex to make him fall on his back.

"Quite the clever trick." Akhos commented groaning.

"That was actually my second time doing it." Rex bragged as he jumps and swings down his sword at Akhos who blocks it and kicks Rex away.

"Poppi, get lightning flying girl!" Tora ordered.

"Roger, roger!" Poppi flew at Obrona who quickly dodges her punches and tries to kick her away only to be met by Poppi's own kick, showing they appear to be even in strength.

"You guys are so annoying! Why can't you just mind your own business and let us do what we want?" Obrona complained.

"That would be illogical to let you take Pyra for evil plans! It would also upset my Masterpon!" Poppi stated before she pushes Obrona away and threw another kick to send her crashing onto the audience seating.

"Yay! Go Poppi, show that sparking enemy who's best in battle!" Tora cheered.

"Masterpon, shouldn't you do your best to help with the fight as well?" Poppi asked, somehow standing next to her creator.

"Oh, sorry Poppi, Tora can get a little sidetracked." Tora chuckled.

But then Tora blinks three times and gasps upon seeing Poppi right here with him when she should still be fighting the enemy Blade.

"Masterpon! Get away from the fake Poppi!" Poppi called out, the one still in the air.

The Poppi next to Tora has her eyes glow pink and then threw a punch on the head sending him away crashing on the ground and groaning in extreme pain.

"Hahah! How easy was that to follow you stupid Nopon!" Melona laughed, revealing herself after reverting from the Poppi form.

"You're going to pay for that!" Nia charged at Melona slashing away while the pink woman blocks them.

"I'm so going to enjoy turning you own a new coat!" Melona chuckled.

However, Nia moved a little faster as she parries away one attack from Melona and landed one slash strike on her leg making the pink woman grunt in pain a bit.

"Not funny when you're the one being hurt!" Nia smirked.

"You kitty bitch!" Melona yelled and swings down her sword only for Nia to dodge and Dromach unleash a super roar to blow her away.

Malos strikes a hard blow on Rana that makes him stumble back a few feet but then something falls out of his armor.

"Oh no!" Rana shocked and quickly went down to pick it up.

"You're wide open!" Malos charged at Rana to kill him.

"I think not!" Cattleya thrusted her sword forward to block Malos' incoming attack and tosses him away from her son.

"Damn it, did I ever tell you how much I hate you being so fucking strong?" Malos asked angrily.

"I believe you just made that very clear." Cattleya glared at Malos then looks back at Rana.

"Rana, you need to pay more attention to the battle. You almost gotten yourself hurt." Cattleya lectured.

"Sorry Mom, but I was just picking up the Core Crystal we got with Vandham earlier." Rana mentioned as he held the Core Crystal in his hand.

"Heh, how nice of you. Hope you don't mind if I take it off your hand." Malos smirked, another Blade to add to their collection.

Risty comes in with Ymir right behind throwing some strikes at Akhos as he dodges them with barely a scratch on him, then he charges at Rex who does the same.

Rex and Akhos clash one last time before separating at the young man in blue armor chuckles.

"I must admit, I've enjoyed playing my part in this hackneyed tale, but…" Akhos smirked and Obrona flies high in the air.

(Music: Rise, Skillet)

"Time for the final act?" Obrona asked sarcastically and spread her red little orbs around the battlefield.

"You're bluffing!" Rex charged at Akhos, not wanting to listen to this guy anymore.

However, Pyra can feel something is literally wrong with the air right now almost like the flow of ether is being distributed between her and Rex.

"Rex! No!" Pyra called out to try warning him about this. But Rex didn't listen and swing his sword down at Akhos who surprisingly got it with just his hand.

"What?" Rex shocked.

"You see, Blades draw their power from the atmosphere ether energy. They send their power to the crystal, where it manifests…" Akhos explained.

"But… What if we were to interrupt the flow?" Akhos asked smirking and the ether flow between our heroes and their Blades are canceled out.

"Huh, I feel strange!" Swan surprised.

"Shit!" Vandham cursed as he and Roc just came back from getting Iona to safety.

"Don't look good!" Vandham hurried down to the fight to help the younglings.

"Oh no, that means we won't be able to do our combo, Ymir!" Agata gasped, her fear growing bigger now.

"Poppi! How are you doing?" Ymir asked.

"Poppi feels funny?" Poppi confused which shocks Tora, seeing as this ability seem can also affect the artificial Blade.

Malos unleashes a strong ether energy slash causing them to dodge though Dromach was hit by the attack and knock down on the ground.

"Now this can be fun!" Melona laughed as she ran at Ymir forcing the little girl on the defense only for a moment before being knocked away and crashes onto Agata.

"Why won't you guys leave Pyra alone?" Rex demanded.

"Isn't it obvious? We want the power of the Aegis for ourselves!" Akhos answered as he swung his sword at Rex making the older boy stumble back.

"It's Jin's desire… to erase all of humankind from the world!" Akhos revealed which shocks Nia as she didn't know about this.

Rana quickly comes in to push Akhos back a little and Nia takes the dance. Malos charges at the brothers, but Cattleya quickly intervene blocking his attack and tries to land a hit though Malos swings down to force the large sword onto the ground for Sever to come in landing a few hits on her.

"Did Jin seriously say that? "Erase all of humankind?"" Nia asked while attacking Akhos.

"My, my. Surely you knew, better than anyone." Akhos stated while blocking and countering.

"You know what humans are really like." Akhos said which shocks Nia that made her froze a little for Akhos to attack.

"Nia! What are you doing?" Vandham asked while protecting her from the attack with Roc in front.

"About time you got here." Risty panted before barely jumping away from Obrona.

"You've seen the capital. You've seen the ships, weapons, soldiers. All poised to invade Mor Ardain… Doesn't it make you want to laugh?" Akhos pointed out.

"Who the hell would laugh about war? It's a bad thing!" Rana yelled before blocking a strike from Sever though was knocked away.

"And yet everyone seems to be doing it. Every corner of the world is defiled by such vermin." Akhos angered as he starts battling Roc.

Rex charges in a power struggle against Malos as he glares down at the boy.

"But that's nothing new. They haven't changed a bit in 500 years! No wonder Father abandoned them!" Malos believed in rage.

"(Father? Does he mean the Architect? But how would Malos even know about him and why does it sound like Malos knows about lives of 500 years?)" Rana thought confused of Malos' words.

Pyra defends herself with a barrier against Sever and managed to send him flying while Malos jumps back from Rex for some distance.

"No, the only thing that hasn't changed is you." Pyra glared at Malos.

"Father didn't want us to wipe out innocent life!" Pyra stated.

"Why did he make us then? Get real!" Malos talked back at Pyra.

"(Okay, now this involves a lot of questions about those two that I hope will get the chance to ask if we survive this fight.)" Rana thought surprised of this.

"That's what we're for. To descend on the world and eliminate these pests!" Malos started unleashing a powerful dark aura with a red light in the middle, and this power makes the others feel scared.

"What…? Is that power coming from his Blade?" Vandham asked.

"Not quite, you could say Malos is a very special case and more dangerous than you could possibly imagine! And you're not lucky that's not even his full power!" Melona laughed evilly.

"You gotta be kidding me…" Risty groaned.

"It's too…!" Nia feared she and her friend may not be able to survive this fight.

"Playtime's over. Let's end it!" Malos declared.

"Akhos! Melona!" Malos called out.

"Agreed!" Akhos smiled, now victory is definitely without a doubt theirs to take.

"I'm going to enjoy tearing you all apart!" Melona laughed as she attacks Risty and Swan then sent Ymir and Agata flying.

Malos charges at Rex and Pyra as she put out a barrier, but that was instantly destroyed sending the two crashing down. Rana and Cattleya try to attack him from both sides only for Malos to spin around to unleash a powerful shockwave that sends them crashing down as well.

Tora and Poppi try to help only for Sever to knock them down after easily blocking an attack.

"Poppi!" Tora gasped, seeing how much damage Poppi has taken.

"No one does that to my brother and friend!" Ymir charged at Sever only to be knocked down again by Obrona. Obrona laughs as she goes in to attack Roc and kicks him away.

Akhos laughs at Nia still trying to fight even though she is already exhausted to this point.

"How very noble. Next!" Akhos struck down his sword at Nia, but Dromarch jumps in to protect his Driver and take the attack which unfortunately hurts.

"Bastards…!" Nia angered.

"Over here!" Obrona laughed and knock Nia down hard.

"Nia! Rana! Damn!" Rex yelled, fearing that they're gonna get seriously hurt if he doesn't do something right now.

"Stop, Rex! It's no good!" Azurda tried to stop Rex from fighting on, but the salvage boy wouldn't listen.

Rex sees that Sever is standing in the way and tries to strike him away but Sever easily knocks the boy down.

"Rex!" Pyra tried to go help him, but Malos punched her in the stomach that makes her fall.

"Hmph. Hitting girls isn't as much fun." Malos smirked.

"Malos, you're the icon of chivalry." Akhos commented sarcastically.

"I won't let you hurt them!" Cattleya dashed at her enemy to attack, but Malos blocks her attack though her strength does make him bend his knees a little and cracks form under his feet.

"Shit, you're fucking strong! If only you have been with us, too bad." Malos smirked and threw an uppercut that send Cattleya crashing onto the audience seating.

"M-Mom…" Rana groaned as he tries to get up.

"M-Malos…" Pyra said weakly as her body couldn't move for a moment.

Malos was about to claim his prize, someone still left standing stopping him.

"YOU'RE NOT GETTING HER!" Vandham shouted and Roc flies up throwing down some fast feather attacks at the villains.

"An attack from the outside?!" Malos shocked as he deflects some and his companions dodged.

"Vandham!" Rex called out.

"Ah! The lunk is back. But that peashooter won't help you. Even if you hit, it'll barely register." Akhos mocked the flaw of that man's plan to attack them while deflecting and dodging the projectiles.

"Blood idiot! Think I don't know that?" Vandham yelled, he knows exactly what he is doing and jumped in catching Roc's weapons.

"Rex! Rana! Are you both ready for another lesson?" Vandham asked loudly, confusing the boys.

"Something else you can do with a Blade!" Vandham said before impaling himself with Roc's scythes into his body.

"Vandham! No!" Risty screamed in fear as the large man's body started to glow.

"What… Bastard!" Malos realized what that fool is doing.

"He's channeling the energy from his weapon through his body…" Akhos pointed out, also seeing what that lunk is trying to do.

"Yeah! Nothin' you can do to stop this ether flow. Nothin' at all!" Vandham unleashed powerful wind attacks that blew Akhos, Obrona, and Melona away but Malos goes in and clash fist with Vandham. Sever tries to go in to assist his Driver, but Roc slams him down onto the ground.

Nia gets up seeing Vandhan fighting Malos, but she clearly sees that he's not going to last long with the way he's fighting because of the weapons pierced into his body. She wants to go in and help, but the fear of showing "That" forces her to stop.

"Vandham!" Rana and Rex called out.

"Move it! Take Pyra and scram, kids!" Vandham ordered while still fighting Malos.

"What… Are you crazy?" Rana shocked to hear this.

"I can't… I can't just leave you here!" Rex couldn't bring himself to abandoned Vandham like this.

Sever slams Roc down and Malos tries to push Vandham though he pushes back the bad man in black.

"Rex! Don't go dyin' on me here! You gotta make it! You gotta get away from here now! Live! Live for your brother! Live for Pyra! You gotta make it to Elysium!" Vandham scolded the brat, trying to make him see there are still things he can do in this life.

"I won't allow it… Give it up!" Malos kicked hard on Vandham.

Vandham tries another air attack only for Malos to swat it away with his mysterious power. Seeing as this is going to be his end, he has one more thing to say for the boys.

"Vandham!" Rana screamed.

"Just go, boys! Remember to fight your war!" Vandham shouted his last words before Malos dealt the final blow. Ending the life of Vandham.

"VANDHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!" Rex and Rana screamed while Risty became dishearten that the man she looked up as a father is gone forever now. And that goes for Roc as he is reverted back into a Core Crystal.

"Oh please, what a cliché." Akhos mocked.

"SHUT UP!" Risty shouted as she lunged at Akhos before he could react and landed a strong punch right in the face sending him crashing on a structure.

Rex and Rana scream in rage as they both charge at Malos, ignoring Vandham's last request to run away.

"You idiots…" Risty feared for the boys.

"You two are such pain in the ass." Malos said before he kicks Rex away and easily Rana's spear to run him at his brother too.

"Boys, stop! We have to run!" Cattleya reminded them of what Vandham gave his life for.

"Are you… fucking serious… Mom?" Rana groaned as they get up and he clutches onto the Core Crystal. He remembers that Vandham gave him that thinking he would find better use for it.

"I can't… Can't to it…" Rex clutched his hand onto the sword while shaking. The others can see those boys are not going to run like they were told.

"We're not going to let you do this!" Rex and Rana screamed at the same time.

"So long, kids!" Malos prepared to unleash the killing blow on both as Cattleya looks in horror to see both of them about to die and she'll never remember again.

"REX!" Pyra screamed and the gems of her Core Crystal and crown glow fiercely.

(Music: Magenta, Nano)

"What?" Malos noticed Pyra suddenly powering up.

Then something happens to Pyra as her body suddenly completely changes altogether from her normal look.

Now Pyra's appearance has long blonde hair with the same styled bangs as her shorter red hair, fair skin and golden eyes. She now wears a short white dress with a black accent and numerous golden and green ornaments, and a golden tiara. She has two green symmetrical crosses on her chest armor, differing from the single cross.

"Pyra?!" Rex shocked to see Pyra changed, and saw the sword also changed into a white gold sword.

"Whoa!" Rana amazed, and then suddenly the Core Crystal he was holding glows bright and form into a new Blade.

"Hello, my name is Airi. I'll be your personal maid and partner in combat." Airi greeted.

The new Blade Airi is a humanoid with the appearance of an extremely attractive young woman, who has long, red hair in twintails and blue-green eyes. She wears a maid outfit with black thigh-length legging socks. She also wears a long chain that is attached to the collar. Her large scythe has a star-like design on the blade, and a wing at the end. Breasts size: E-cup.

The tide of battle has turned.

Things were looking pretty bad for our heroes against Malos's group and the man himself unleashing a dark power, but now it looks like hope isn't lost as Pyra has transformed into what may be her true power and Rana has awakened a new Blade. Let's hope these will help them win.
