(Julie-Su's POV)
Me, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, & Rouge were battling against Omega, who had crystals growing out of his metal body & was now under the control of Ixis Naugus, the evil wizard who's been in hiding for a year now*
Knuckles: You just had to lead that thing back here!
Amy: We came to rescue you!
Knuckles: Yeah, well, I was coming to rescue you!
Julie-Su: We beat you to it. Where is Naugus anyway?
He pointed to the stairs he came up from*
Knuckles: Down there. He's sealed himself in with the Master Emerald shards. His crystal barricade is too strong. I'll need help breaking it down - *we dodged when Omega brought both his hands down to the ground* But I guess we've got to handle this guy first!
Julie-Su: Right!
Shadow: Chaos Spear!
His spear stunned Omega*
Amy: Or that!
Knuckles: Sure you sure this is your robot buddy?
Rouge: I didn't want to think so, but now that I've got a clear lost at him? Yeah, it's him.
Knuckles: Well, we need to figure out a way to get him back to normal. We can't get through to Naugus without his firepower.
Just then, Amy's Miles Electric started ringing*
Amy: What - really!? Now!? It's Sally! It must be something important.
Rouge: I'm amazed you're getting any signal down here.
Shadow: Stop joking around. I'll go ahead and eliminate Naugus. My Chaos Spear should hold Omega until - *suddenly, Omega's eyes glowed red & he hit Shadow in the face* . . . It wore off early . . .?
Julie-Su*to Amy* Hurry and see what the Princess wants! We'll keep him off you!
Amy: I'll be quick!
She ran to a safe place*
Rouge: I like this gallant side of you. You should show it off more often.
Knuckles: Huh? Once she's done with the call, she can hit your pet Badnik with her really big hammer.
I smirked. I love the clueless side of my boyfriend*
Rouge: What was I thinking? Chivalry is dead.
Knuckles: Whatever. Here he comes!
While the four of us fought the crystalized Omega, Amy talked to Sally on her Miles Electric*
Sally*off-screen* Amy, can you go hear me?
Amy: Yeah. Little busy right now.
Rouge & I dodged a laser from Omega's arm*
Sally*off-screen* What was that?
Amy: Long story, sorry. Can you make this quick?
Sally*off-screen* Eggman ambushed us, on multiple fronts. We're about to launch a counter attack. If we win, the world is going to be restored earlier than planned.
Amy: Oh, crud! We'll thanks for the heads-up. *she dodged Shadow when Omega threw him at her* Gotta go! *she hung up & helped Shadow to his feet* Knuckles! 'Su! We've got a problem! Shadow, quick, do a Spin Dash!
Shadow: Nrgh . . .
He got into a Spin Dash & Amy hit him with her hammer, using the Croquet Bomber move she does with Sonic. Shadow hit Omega square in the chest, knocking in down*
Julie-Su: What now?
Amy: Sally says Eggman attacked and messed up the plan! I don't have the details, but the time table for restoring the world just got bumped up.
Rouge: Are we talking days, hours, or minutes?
Amy: I don't know! But it sounded like "sooner" rather than "later."
Knuckles: Then we need to end this fight now. I won't let Angel Island fall to it's doom!
Amy: I promised I would help you and 'Su save the Island, and I meant it!
All three of us charged at Omega, who was holding Shadow by his head*
(Third-Person POV)
The chamber Naugus was in began to rumble as he continued to put th Master Emerald back together*
Ixis Naugus: That sounds like quite a battle up there. I'll be cutting this close. If I hadn't been so impatient, I could've had Knuckles do this for me. Then again, who knows what power he might've wielded? Too risky. This is my last chance and I will not be fooled again. I've already suffered set-back . . . *he thought back to all his past failures. when he was banished to the Void by Eggman, back when he was Robotnik, & Snively* After set-back . . . *when he & his sister, Wendy, were first defeated by Sonic & Tails* After set-back . . . *and when Abigail, Sonic, & Silver chased him out of New Mobotropolis* But the worst was when the Doctor tested his infernal Genesis Wave technology for the first time. The world was split into pocket dimensions. I was caught in one of the rifts between them. I've pieced together that Sonic restored the world, but I was left changed. Diminished. Utterly powerless. I made my way back here, to my ancestral homeland, but the crystals in these mines could die nothing for me. The only good thing about all this is that I don't mutate or hear those voices anymore thanks to the Ixis Amulet (look up "Blood Amulet" by "Wolkenwaechter" on "Deviantart") my sister so generously gave me after she saved me from being destroyed by the Quickster, the Time Traveler, and that wretched cat girl, as long as I give it a drop of my blood once a month. But it's still not enough! I need my magic back and this gemstone is my last hope! *he slowly put the last piece into place* Almost . . . Almost . . . *the Master Emerald flashed as it came together* I did it . . .? I DID IT! *he put his claws on the Master Emerald* O ancient controller! You that unifies the chaos! Repair my essence! Return my magical power!
(Julie-Su's POV)
Suddenly, Knuckles fell to his knees, looking like he was in pain*
Amy & Julie-Su: Knuckles!?
Knuckles: It's too late! He's restored the Master Emerald!
Amy: No! It's never too late!
Knuckles: But he . . .
Amy: All he did was save you a step! Now all we have to do is plug it back into it's shrine and Angel Island is saved!
Julie-Su: You don't exactly "plug it in", Amy.
Amy: However it's done, Knuckles will do it! And we'll kick his creepy butt while we're at it! And we -
Suddenly, Crystalized Omega rushed up to us, but Knuckles blocked him*
Julie-Su & Amy: Knuckles!
Knuckles: RRGH! I've got him! Break those stinkin' crystals!
Amy hit Omega with her hammer & I fired my blaster*
Amy: Why! Won't! They! Shatter!?
Rouge: I gotta give Eggman credit. He built this one to last. Care to stun him again with another Chaos Spear?
Shadow: He seems to be growing resistant to it and stronger. I think the crystals are redirecting the energy into him.
Rouge: Drop your Inhibitor Rings! Use your Chaos Blast?
Shadow: I'd risk a cave-in. Burying is all alive. However, if it stopped Naugus?
Rouge: Forget I asked!
Knuckles struggled against Omega until he saw a crack in his crystal armor*
Knuckles: We managed to crack the armor! If we focus on that one spot with enough force, maybe we can break through! We're going to get one shot at this! Amy! 'Su! On three!
Julie-Su: Ready!
Amy: One!
Knuckles: Two!
Amy, Knuckles, & Julie-Su: THREE!
Amy him Omega with her hammer, I shot a laser at him, Rouge hit him with a Screw Kick, Shadow hit him with a Spin Dash, & Knuckles hit him with a spiked ball. The crystal armor finally broke, freeing him from Naugus' control. Me, Knuckles, & Amy panted in exhaustion*
Omega:. . . YOU HAVE RESCUED ME. I AM OBLIGATED TO FEEL GRATEFUL.
Knuckles: . . . You're welcome?
Amy: Any time. You'd do the same for us, right?
Omega:NEGATIVE.
I rolled my eyes. Figures*
Rouge: Welcome back, Tin Man.
Shadow: You put us through a lot of trouble.
Omega: DUBIOUS APOLOGY: I AM SORRY. I HAVE EXPENDED A GREAT DEAL OF ENERGY IN SERVICE TO WALTER NAUGUS. TO MAKE AMENDS, I WILL EXPEND EQUAL AMOUNTS OF ENERGY IN DESTROYING WALTER NAUGUS.
Knuckles led hik down the stairs, to the crystal wall*
Knuckles: He's behind here! The crystal is too thick to punch through, but -
Omega:STAND ASIDE, INFERIOR MAMMAL.
He blasted the wall apart with a giant laser*
Knuckles: Hurry! Before he taps into the Master Emerald's power!
Julie-Su: Step away from the gem, Ugly!
We found Naugus sitting on top of the Master Emerald*
Ixis Naugus: Ah-ah-ah! Finders keepers, children.
Amy: Are we too late? Can he even use it's power? Should we fall back?
Knuckles: I . . . I don't know! I cannot tell!
Team Dark charged at Naugus*
Shadow: Don't hesitate! Blitz and overwhelm him!
Amy: Wait! He might -
Ixis Naugus*laugh* Such bravado!
He sent out a flash of green light that stopped Team Dark*
(Third-Person POV)
Ixis Naugus: A minute ago, I would've been at your mercy. But now . . . Now you, and the entire world, are at my mercy!
He laughed. Team Dark, Knuckles, Julie-Su, & Amy were now trapped in crystal. Knuckles & Julie-Su were reaching for Amy & she was reaching for them*
