If Luz were to be honest…

Sometimes she hated being a princess.

First there were all the responsibilities, the expectations to be a good princess so she can be a good queen.

She wishes she was just born a commoner or even just a simple human girl on earth.

That way she could just live a normal life. She could do normal kid stuff like even go to school with other kids instead of having to deal with snobbish tutors.

Maybe even join a book club where instead of kids who just got close to her because of her status as princess she could make real friends.

Friends…

It was honestly hard making friends as a princess…

Back then when she was so much younger she had thought she made friends only to find out they were just using her for their own benefits and never even saw her as a friend.

It really hurt when she had even overheard them making fun of how gullible she was.

And one time she did have a friend. Or at least she thought they were friends but…

After all that she hated being a princess so much at the time that for a while she even ran away…

Her mom had been so worried.

Still even to this day she sometimes wonders how different her life would be if she really was just some little human girl.

At the very least it wouldn't be as stressful as this…right?

"...and done! That's the last of em!" Luz said victorious as she put down the last of her stuff in her closet.

After the whole fiasco with Ludo, she and Gavin finally becoming friends, she had decided to organize her room first as she will be staying in the demon realm for quite a while so it wouldn't hurt to have a tidy room

She even has something for her stay which is a book titled "Luci's Totally Accurate, Legitimate, and Correct Guide to staying in the Demon Realm". Lady Firefly had gotten it made for her for her indefinite stay in the demon realm. While she was always put off by Lady Firefly she does appreciate the help.

She still remembers what she first said to her

"Remember Luz. In the Demon Realm, demons are not monsters!"

"Right!"

"Oh and if you have the time feel free to send me any information you can gather as well. A book or even a live specimen to study"

Although regarding the duration of her stay…

She never really asked how long her stay will be other than it will be a bit of a long time.

Oh well! Time to call mom on her mirror phone.

She quickly made her way to it

"Mirror Mirror on the wall. Call Mom" Luz said excitedly only for the mirror to respond

"Calling Tom"

"What? No I said mo-"

Unfortunately it was too late and the Mirror proceeded to call one Tom Lucitor who soon appeared on her mirror

"Oh boy here we go" She muttered to herself not looking forward to this particular conversation

"Luz?"

"Heyyyy Tom…How's it going?" Luz hesitantly asked with a sheepish smile.

The horned triclop demon for his part looked confused about why she's calling "Uh I'm doing ok I guess?"

"Oh good good. That's nice" Luz said awkwardly

"Ok?"

For a full on minute the she and Tom just stared at each other. Not really knowing what to say as they weren't really that…close

She decided to break the silence first

"Look Tom I will be honest. I wasn't really calling you. I was trying to call mom and the mirror just you know called you instead. You mind if I just end the call?" she asked the confused demon

"Oh! Yeah sure. That makes sense" Tom let out an awkward chuckle

However just as she was about to end the call she was interrupted

"Oh wait! Luz before you go do you mind if I ask you something first just real fast" Tom said looking nervous for some reason

Oh no. She already had a feeling where this was going. Unfortunately for her before she can even answer Tom asked anyway

"It's just…how is Star doing? I heard the two of you hung out the other day. Did she uh…talk about me?"

Luz had to resist the urge to groan at this. She knew exactly why he was asking this.

Tom and Star were an item and she will admit the two of them were quite a cute couple…until they broke up about a year ago.

It wasn't like it affected her until both of them dragged her into it. Recently Star would complain to her about some of the stuff Tom did while Tom himself would keep pestering her about Star, usually asking to talk to her. Why was he even asking her of all people?! It wasn't like she and Star were close! The main reason the two of them even hang out is due to scheduled Hangouts of the Future Leaders of Mewni Club where she was required to spend time with the princes and princesses of other kingdoms to build bonds and relationships!

"Look Tom, whatever's going on between you and Star is really none of my business you know?" Luz said sheepishly while looking away.

"I know I know but-" Tom began sounding a little desperate.

Luz didn't let him continue and just reached for the end call switch

"Byeeee"

"Luz! Wait! DON'T HANG UP!" Tom tried to scare her but she just ended the call on him. She was already used to his tantrums

"I really should block him from my mirror" Luz considered it for a moment but decided it really wouldn't be a good idea. Tom was a little annoying, sure but he wasn't as bad as some of those snobs from the Mewnisters or even nobles who think they're better than everyone.

Shaking her head she once again asked the mirror to call mom and fortunately this time it did as she asked.

However rather than her mom answering the call, she was surprised to see that it was one of the Queensguard who answered instead.

"Good evening, Princess Butterfly. How may I assist you?" The Queensguard answered in a flat tone looking bored. Well her masked helmet didn't really let Luz see what she looks like but she assumes from her tone that she is probably bored. She never really talked much with the queensguards her mom had around all the time. They were just rather intimidating.

Luz cleared her throat before speaking "Oh uh hi! Is my mom around?"

"I'm afraid she is occupied at the moment" The queensguard said simply without missing a beat.

She couldn't help but frown at that. She can't say she's surprised because really ever since she could walk this has always been common for her mom. She was always so occupied with her work that she often was unable to just spend time with her.

Luz understands that her mom was just doing her duty but a small selfish side of her couldn't help but feel upset at how her own mother couldn't even make time for her.

She quickly pushes that ugly feeling down again like she's always done all her life.

"Oh ok…can you tell her I called? Or just tell her I'm calling right now?" Luz said with a strained smile at the queensguard who didn't even react at all.

"My apologies princess, but let me clarify that the Queen is not in the castle at this moment. She had urgent matters to attend to in the Waterfolk kingdom and won't be back until tomorrow" The Queensguard explained to her

Luz couldn't help but pinch the bridge of her nose. Of course. Why was she even surprised that this happened? Her mom said she would be free tonight specifically so she could call her but then something came up again that prevented her from following through on a promise. Typical.

Wait no. She shouldn't be feeling upset. Her mom is just doing her job as Royal Regent. It wasn't like her mom was intentionally not spending time with her. Even if she rarely even spend time with her anymore.

She shouldn't feel mad.

But still she can't help but feel angry.

No…she shouldn't feel angry.

Before she could dwell on them she took a deep breath and let out a sigh before putting on a small smile on her face.

"You know what? It's fine. Just tell her I called ok?" Luz told them in an even tone.

"Of course princess"

When Luz reached to turn off the mirror though the queensguard spoke up once more

"Oh before you go, princess"

"Yes?" She raised a brow wondering what this was about

"May I advise you to remove your bandages on your face?"

Luz froze at that. She instinctively reached for the bandages covering up the lower half of her face.

"Do…Do I have to? I mean they're quite comfortable" She laughed sheepishly as if she heard a bad joke but unfortunately the queensguard wasn't laughing…nor did they react outwardly at all and just stared at her for a moment

"Yes. Doctor Cross did say that you're only supposed to keep them on for two weeks otherwise it might get infected and well you're on your third week princess so I advise you to please remove them" the queensguard explained in a matter of fact tone that left no room for arguments

Luz wanted to argue but she didn't really even have any ground to stand on against the queensguard so with a hesitant sigh she reached to the back of her head and began to undo her bandages which revealed her full face including the lightning bolt shaped marks on her cheeks.

"There we go, princess. Isn't that better? You should hold your head high for you share the same beautiful marks as the Great Solaria the Monster Carver" the queensguard praised while clasping their hand together

Luz held back a frown as she looked into a nearby mirror. The cheek marks of Solaria. For as long as she remembered she had always been burdened with these expectations from many mewmans about how her marks meant she was the second coming of Solaria, one of the best queens of Mewni apparently.

She didn't like it. She wasn't even anything remotely similar to Solaria and when she looks at her marks…

The Second Coming of Solaria? Her?

Never

Gavin was not having a good time.

Not because of Luz mind you.

If anything Luz was great! After they got over the initial hurdle of their first meeting and fighting off monsters led Luko or was it Ludo? Eh he doesn't remember. But anyways his new roommate was actually pretty great to have around.

She was smart, funny and overall pleasant to have around. Plus it was really fun learning more about how she really is from another dimension and the concept of the other worlds which part of him honestly still doubts about whether or not it's true as when he asked Luz if she could take him to another dimension she explained she can't because she doesn't have something called a dimensional scissors that supposedly allowed her people to travel to other worlds.

It's not like he's calling Luz a liar but he's just a person who prefers to see evidence of something instead of just taking someone's word for it.

Although that was not why he was not having a good time.

It started when he was preparing dinner and there was a knock at the door.

When he went to open it he was met with a chubby girl wearing glasses who looks cute…until he saw that she was wearing a Hexside Uniform!

What was a hexsider doing here!

That was when the girl introduced herself as Willow Park and apparently Luz had invited her over to hang out

Gavin wanted to say no and even tell her she has the wrong address because he was a Glandus Student! Glandus and Hexside are supposed to be sworn enemies! If the others find out he let a hexsider inside his house he'd be called a traitor and be stuck at the bottom of the social pecking order in school forever!

But alas his pride as a chef and the importance of sacred hospitality taught to him by Uncle Darius meant he's bound to let an invited guest inside…even if they're a Hexsider. Oh the horror!

He just hopes Bria doesn't come to visit tonight

So now here he was preparing dinner while a hexside girl was sitting in his kitchen table. They both weren't saying anything which caused a rather awkward silence.

Gavin decided to try breaking the ice. Keyword try.

"So uh Willow right?" he said as he stirred a pot of stew

"Yes?" The hexside girl- er Willow, perked up at being called.

Gavin cleared his throat as his mouth outpaced his brain when he spoke. "How is Hexside?" Was all he could think to ask. It was all he currently knew about her. Her hair, glasses and current outfit would not have been very fascinating conversation starters at all. He quickly realized he'd asked a semi-loaded question. "I mean, what's it like going there. Not like a threat or something, like we have something planned to mess it up. I mean 'we' like the whole of Glandus, and we don't. Not that it would be unjustified or anything since your school destroyed our original and all. But that's not what I meant at all!"

There was an uncomfortably long pause in between that rant of Gavin's, to which he looked even more uncomfortable.

"It's fine." Willow said simply as the clock ticking in the background was all that could be heard. "So... how long have you known Luz?"

"Not long." Gavin said, again a void of quiet before he started. "She's been living with me for like… only since this afternoon now that I think about it" He stuttered again. "Not like living with her. We don't share the same room or anything. That wouldn't have worked for a number of reasons, especially after the sucking... No! Not like that. I mean she didn't suck... I mean there was this suck hole and... No, I am making it worse."

"Uh…sounds like you had a great time together?" Willow chuckled but Gavin couldn't tell whether it was genuine or forced. Oh who is he kidding, it's definitely forced! Damn it, what is taking Luz so long?

He needs to escape this conversation!

This was not at all how Gavin wanted this conversation to go, ruining his and Luz's reputations in a matter of seconds. He contemplated jumping out the window, but this was his house, so he chose the next best option, fake a heart attack.

However just as he was about to start that heart attack, as if the Titan itself heard his plight, Luz finally showed her face

"Hey, Willow." Luz said as she came down the stairs

"Oh thank Titan!" Gavin said in pure relief. "I will be right back, I have to get out of this situation. I mean bail out! I mean get spices from the cellar! Bye!" He darted out of the room, leaving the two girls.

"He seems... nice." Willow said as she stared at the door that Gavin went through. He was surprisingly nice for Glandus Student even if he was rather awkward

"Yeah, he's great. Did he mention the suck hole?" Willow nodded nervously. "I have to get him to stop telling that without context."

"Yeah he-" Willow began to say but she paused when she noticed something different about Luz or rather something missing "Something is different about you…"

"Oh really? I got a haircut. Thanks for noticing" Luz jokingly said as she ran her hand through her hair which she couldn't help but chuckle at

"No, silly!" Willow laughed "Your face. You don't have your bandages anymore"

"Haha yeah. My doctor said I was supposed to remove them today since my injury from my warnicorn riding lessons have fully healed" Luz sheepishly explained, though Willow noticed she seemed a little uncomfortable. Was she not used to having the bandages off? Though now that she took a closer look at the now exposed lower half of her friend's face there seemed to be something on Luz's face that looked like some kind of face paint.

"Are those face paints on your cheek?" She asked pointing

For a brief moment Luz seemed uncomfortable with her question before she answered "Yeah these are my cheek marks. They're genetic so my family has them too. Though we each have different designs"

"That's pretty cool. So yours are thunderbolts" Willow said

"Yeah back on Mewni people liked them too much in my opinion" Luz said with an eyeroll

"Mewni?" Willow asked, confused. She's never heard of Mewni before.

Luz froze for a moment before quietly saying "Crap. I forgot you weren't in the loop yet"

"Loop? What loop?" Willow couldn't help but ask which seemed to made Luz panic a little before she took a deep breathe

"Ok first of all. Willow, we are friends right?" Luz asked

"Um I like to think we are" Willow let out a nervous laugh but at the same time she was now both worried and confused about where Luz was going with this

"Ok I'm going to share with you something that you can't tell anyone else…well except for Gavin since he already knows and other people where I'm from but still you get where I'm going with this" Luz said a serious look on her face

"I guess?"

And so for the next 30 minutes, Luz sat her down and told her about who she really is.

She told her about how she was apparently a princess. How she was from another dimension that was called Mewni. Oh and how a bunch of other dimensions exist other than earth.

So now here she was sitting on the chair with a drink in hand(that Luz grabbed from the fridge). She was still processing this information because it all sounds so unbelievable and she wondered if Luz was just making fun of her.

Was this a prank? But then again Luz seemed so honest and genuine about it when she explained.

"Ok so that…is a lot to take in" Willow admitted as she took a sip of water

"Look I just didn't want to lie to you…ok I was planning to kinda lie to you but it was just like a little white lie kind of thing since I wasn't supposed to tell other people about why I'm here" Luz admitted

"Wait, you're not here to secretly take over our world are you?" Willow asked half joking and half worried as Luz had told her during her explanation earlier that she was sent here for a reason

"What? No! Of course not! We're not colonizers. I was sent here so that I could become a better magic user" Luz said

"Oh. That's good to hear. Does this mean you'll be going to school then?" Willow asked

"Yep! I'm going to Glandus" Luz said excited

"Why Glandus? I mean not that I'm saying there's something wrong with that school but you just seem more…how do I say this? Too nice?"

Luz groaned "Ugh I actually wanted to go to Hexside but my guide said I need to go to a tough school so I'm stuck in Glandus. On the bright side though I did get to meet Gavin who's really nice. Speaking of Gavin. He sure is taking a while to come back"

Gavin hummed to himself as he sat in the cellar by his lonesome.

This was nice. No awkwardness. Just peace and quiet.

He's just gonna stay here for the rest of his life from now on….or until he gets his nerves back in order and hopefully by that time, Willow has forgotten what came out of his mouth

"I think he went to get some supplies" Willow added helpfully

"Oh well" Luz shrugged "Want to hang out in the living while we wait for him?" the mewman princess offered

Willow was about to answer when there was a knock at the door

"I'll get it" she offered and went to answer the door.

Willow opened up the door, but saw no one. She looked around doing another sweep before spotting what looked like a floating unicorn head.

"Yo four eyes! Is this where lose- er Luz staying at?" the floating horse head asked in an obnoxious tone that reminded her of Boscha

"Uh...Luz! There's a floating unicorn head out here looking for you!" Willow called out

"Floating unicorn head? Oh damn it!" Came Luz' voice followed by the sound of quick footsteps approaching.

Before Willow could even react Luz was now by her side with a knife aimed at the floating horse head much to her shock

"What the hell are you doing here Ponyhead?" Luz said in a hostile tone as she pointed the knife at Ponyhead's neck who wasn't even remotely bothered

"Yeah, hello to you too, weirdo. And here I thought you were the nice one."

Luz let out a growl before she lowered the knife

"Well aren't you going to introduce me to your new friend?" Ponyhead said with a smirk.

Luz lets out a sigh before the former spoke up "Willow Park, let me introduce you to Princess Pony Head. She's the heir to the Cloud Kingdom, one of the neighbouring kingdoms of the Butterfly Kingdom. We've known each other since… since we were kids"

"Oh!" Willow laughed nervously. She could feel the atmosphere getting thicker with the tension between the two. "So you two are childhood friends?"

"As if!" Luz immediately answered while she and Pony glared at each other "Like we would ever be friends with an obnoxious bully!"

"Oh I'm a bully? It's not my fault that you couldn't handle my amazing personality!" Pony retorted
Seeing how the situation was about to escalate, Willow immediately got between the two in hopes of de-escalating the situation "Woah! Easy you two. You wouldn't want to do anything you might regret right?"

Luckily Ponyhead and Luz backed away from each other with a collective scoff. Luz though flipped off Ponyhead much to Willow's chagrin.

"Why are you even here Ponyhead?" Luz questioned in a neutral tone though there was a hint of hostility in it.

Ponyhead looked like she was going to say something snarky again but instead lets out a sigh "It's...that time of the month again"

"That time of the month?" Luz said puzzled before she had a look of disgust "Oh gross!"

"Not that you idiot!" Ponyhead said bewildered at the assumption

Luz seemed to have a look of realization having realized what Ponyhead was talking about "Oh...you meant the other one. Yeah that's not happening" Luz turned her head with a "hmph!"

"Oh for the love of- You know that's not how it works! I wouldn't even be here if I didn't have to!" Ponyhead exclaimed in an annoyed tone

Willow though was confused at what they were talking about "Um...what are you guys talking about?"

Ponyhead lets out an annoyed sigh "It's a date"

Now Willow was confused "A date? But I thought you two don't like each other?" From what she saw that seemed to be the case unless she was missing something

"We don't" Luz answered

"Then why-"

"Look it's not as simple as that" Luz also lets out an annoyed sigh "My Mom and Pony's parents knew each other when they were young..."

"Our parents wanted us to get together." Ponyhead finished before she and Luz lets out a collective groan

"Yeah." Luz dejectedly concluded with a frown

"You two…" Willow looked at the two of them. For a brief moment she got a mental image of Luz and Ponyhead on a date while trying to kill each other.

"It's never going to happen," Luz bluntly said with a nod, "My mom and Pony's dad knew each other as kids. Our families had a good relationship for generations so if they were to get together, our kingdoms would be united and become stronger"

"But like she said it's never going to happen!" Pony Head yelled, "I could do so much better!"

Luz gave an offended look, "But our parents still want us to get together every once in a while even if we don't want to. So it's more like a play date nowadays" she explained

"Why?" Willow asked

"It's mostly just because they think we will at least be a good influence for each other." At the last part Luz actually rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, so every once in a while, we have to go on these dumb play dates and just hang out for a while." Pony Head explained, "But if we're going to do this we have to do this right." Pony Head spat out a pair of scissors with a red heart shape handle. "Let's go to the Bounce Lounge."

"Is that a pair of dimensional scissors?" Luz questioned as she stared in surprise at the sticky pair of metal. "Where did you even get a pair?"

"Oh, you know, a gift from my daddy." Pony Head said innocently.

She paused and looked at Willow, "How about you girl? Wanna come? You seem cool like why are you even hanging out with this weirdo?"

"R-Really?!" Willow paused, realizing what Ponyhead said was a backhanded compliment. She looked at Luz who was now more visibly annoyed at Ponyhead "I mean if Luz wants to sure..."

Luz took a deep breath. She was not liking where this was going

Pony Head picked the scissors with her tongue and used them to create a swirling purple portal.

"Wow. Is that?" Willow couldn't help but ask excitedly. Just earlier she had learned from Luz that it was thanks to these portals that they were able to jump dimensions provided they have dimensional scissors.

"A portal to another dimension, yeah." Luz explained, "Look, Pony as much as we want to, which we don't." She said sarcastically "We can't go, we're supposed to stay here to practice our magic so yeah you can go party on your own and maybe take down another civilization while you're at it" she waved off Ponyhead with a smug smile

Pony Head rolled her eyes, "If you say so. I'll just go tell daddy that you didn't want to come. Then daddy can tell your mother dearest what happened. I'm sure that will end really well for you" Pony Head said with a mocking fake smile.

For a moment there was a flash of fear in Luz's face before it was immediately replaced with anger as she clenched her hand into a fist. "You wouldn't dare!"

"Watch me" Ponyhead then pulled out her mirror phone "All it takes is one call. What's it gonna be?"

Meanwhile Willow could only watch nervously as the situation began to get tense once more. She wanted to intervene but was interrupted by Luz

With a heavy sigh Luz let her shoulders drop, "Fine, let's get this over with." She grumbled

With that the group quickly left, Pony head leading, Willow hesitantly following and Luz with a frown and for a brief moment looked like she wanted to commit murder.

Suddenly not a few seconds later, another portal opened up where the group just were and three tall figures stepped out of them. One of them knelt, looking down at the sparkle dust left by Pony Head.

"Glitter. She was here." The robotic voice commented before they entered the portal again and left.

At this moment Gavin finally left the cellar only to be confused to see that everyone is gone "Luz? Hexside Girl? Where is everyone?" he asked around only to jump in surprise when a crow suddenly landed in front of him "Oh you're Luz's pet. Sebastian, right? "

"I'm her companion not her pet and yes that's my name" the bird responded in an offended tone

"And of course you can talk. I'm not even surprised anymore" Gavin deadpans

"Care for a game of hexes hold em? I've read about it and I must say it is quite interesting" Sebastian offered

"Sure. Why not?" Gavin shrugged

Luz, Willow, and Ponyhead fell through the portal until they reached their destination which appeared to be some, purple clouds surrounding some floor.

Luz and Pony managed to land safely in the clouds, but Willow missed them and nearly hit the floor if it wasn't for Ponyhead unexpectedly using her magic in her horn to stop the witch girl from cracking her head on the floor by levitating her

"Woah careful four eyes! You almost landed on your face" Pony said with a snort as she placed Willow on her feet.

"Thanks, but where are we?" Willow asked before she looked around, she saw that they were in some sort of... nightclub?

There were beanbags, a bar, couches, and lights hanging from the ceiling. It was then that she realized that the whole thing was on some clouds and filled with beings of different shapes and sizes, including what appeared to be a white horse standing on its hind legs serving as the DJ as people were dancing or just chilling on the sidelines talking with each other creating a fun yet very laid-back and chill atmosphere.

"Wow" Willow couldn't help but gape. She couldn't believe it. She was in a whole other dimension. Gus would be so jealous.

Willow was pulled from her thoughts though when she felt herself pulled by Ponyhead towards the dance floor.

"Come on girl, let's dance!" Ponyhead as she danced(floated?) to the music.

At first Willow was hesitant to do so but after some words of encouragement she started to let loose and have fun dancing. She didn't want to admit it but she was beginning to like Ponyhead even if she and Luz didn't like each other.

However it didn't take long for Willow to realize that something was missing. It was Luz.

She looked around and spotted her by a table absentmindedly reading a book.

"Luz!" Willow yelled, trying to be heard over the loud music. "Luz! Come and dance with us!" She was hoping to help Luz relax and let loose

Luz waved her off "No thank you. I am not one for dancing.

Not wanting to push it, Willow resumed her dancing with Ponyhead.

"So what's your name again? Willow, was it?" Pony Head questioned her new friend.

"Yeah, is your name really Ponyhead?" Willow asked curious

"Actually, my name is… you know what?, just call me Pony Head and you know?" Ponyhead smiled "I'm surprised Luz is friends with you. You're actually pretty cool. I thought for sure you would be some weirdo but I was wrong"

"Um...Thanks?"

The two of them got to talking more and had unexpectedly clicked instantly. Neither of them remembered the last time they connected with someone this fast.

The two of them were having so much fun until Willow noticed that Luz had disappeared from her seat.

"Wait where did Luz go?" She asked worriedly.

"Ah who cares about that turd? She's probably off doing all sorts of weird stuff" Ponyhead said with a scoff "Lets ditch that girl. I know this awesome place called the scum bucket. You're gonna love it girl!" she said as she used her scissors to open another portal and signals for Willow to enter.

Willow opened her mouth to scold Ponyhead for planning to leave Luz when a voice from behind caught their attention.

They turned around and saw that it was Luz and Zulu who had an unimpressed look on her faces.

"Well good to see the two of you are getting along quite nicely at least" Luz deadpans

"Oh there you are. We were just about to get you" Ponyhead says in an obviously fake sincere tone

"Well can't say I'm surprised when it's you of all people"

At Luz's words Ponyhead was visibly offended and now there was tension building up again as Luz and Pony got in each other's faces growling.

Hoping to find a way to calm the two down, Willow spotted what looked like a photo booth "Uh uh...look guys a photo booth! Why don't you guys take some pictures!" she laughed nervously as she pushed them into the booth.

Willow immediately left them alone, hoping that the photo booth can ease the tension between them.

Inside the photo booth the two royals continued to glare at each other.

"Why are you doing this?" Luz questioned

"Because Willow is pretty fun. I actually like-" Pony began to explain but was cut off by Luz

"No!" Luz suddenly yelled taking Ponyhead by surprise "You said that the last date was the last one"

The Photo booth suddenly flashes taking a picture of both of them making faces at the camera with words 'Best Friends' flashing onto the newly taken photo.

"Look I just..." Pony hesitated "wanted to visit an old friend"

Luz scoffed "I don't know if you've noticed Ponyhead but last I checked we are not friends not since forever"

They both paused as another picture was taken. They were hugging and smiling as the words "Night to remember!" flashed.

"You are so insufferable you know that?!" Ponyhead yelled

"I'm 'insufferable'?!" Luz scoffed, "That coming from the obnoxious horse head herself? You should watch what comes out of your mouth"

"I've had it with you! You always think you're so much better than me!" Pony exclaimed

"Fine! You want to settle this?" Luz challenged as Luz braced herself

"Yes!"

"Good, Magic Duel! Winner gets to make one order the loser has to do."

"Fine!" Pony said assuredly, ready to use the reward so she would never bother her again.

"Let's go!" Pony head pulled out the scissors and created a portal in the booth they both used.

As the portal closed another open and three familiar robotic figures stepped out.

They spotted Willow who was pacing outside of the Photo Booth and quickly walked up to her having noticed glitter residue on her.

They placed a hand on her shoulder and as if on cue the music stopped and everyone ran off at the sight of the robots.

"Uh...Hi?" Willow laughed nervously at the three robots in front of her

One of the robot guards wiped a finger on her shoulder wiping off some glitter which Willow noticed was the same glitter that floated behind Pony head.

"You will tell us everything you know."

When Luz exited the portal they realized they were standing outside the forest of certain death. She could see her kingdom in the distance, the magical barrier that protects it shining in the night.

"You brought us here?" Luz said as she pulled out her wand.

"Well I would have brought us to where we first met but you and I both know that's not possible" Ponyhead said as her horn began to glow. "Now enough talking. Let's settle this once and for all. On the count of three"

"1" Luz said not hesitating as the wand began to glow in her hand

"2" Ponyhead said

"3!" both shouted in unison as they both shot out a blast of magic.

—–-

Meanwhile...

Willow was not having a good time.

The three robots had tied her up to a chair and was now interrogating her.

They had demanded to know where Ponyhead was and of course she did not answer which angered their leader who then told his goons to make her talk.

She had been expecting the worse but instead of performing some brutal torture on her they had instead proceeded to perform all manners of act that was at worse...annoying. Said act they were doing was repeatedly turning a lamp on and off in her face.

"Please stop. That is really annoying!" Willow exclaimed as the robot continued to flash the lamp in her eyes. She was hoping that Luz and Ponyhead would come back soon.

"Then tell us where the horse head is!" the leader once again asked

"I told you I don't know!" she answers. She tried desperately to use magic to escape but unfortunately her hands were literally tied behind her back.

"What's going on here?!" came a loud voice

The three robots turned around to see what looked like a teenage girl with brown skin, no apparent nose, and long bushes of aquamarine hair that was tied in a ponytail and was reaching down to her ankles. She also had what looked like a large sword strapped to her back.

"This does not concern you Woolett" the leader growled.

"Please you gotta help me! These guys are crazy!" Willow called out to the girl in a pleading tone hoping that they would help her. Luckily her prayers were answered when the Girl's eyes widened before they pulled out her sword.

"I don't know what's all this about but you creeps better let go of that girl" the girl challenged as she got into a fighting stance

"Get her!" The leader snapped his fingers before his goons charged towards the girl who also did the same while letting out a war cry.

Back with the two royals...

"Take that!" Ponyhead yelled as she shot another rainbow blast towards Luz who simply cartwheeled out of the way "Damn it stop moving around so I can hit you!"

Their fight had been going on for a while now. While neither of them had been able to land a solid hit both of them were beginning to get tired as they felt their respective energies dwindling

"What's wrong Lilacia? Getting tired?" Luz said mockingly as she panted.

"Oh, bringing my first name into this? How about we end this once and for all Luzer!" Ponyhead exclaimed as she charged up her horn for one final attack.

"Fine! Don't blame me if I kill you! But for the record you won't be getting a funeral!" Luz called out as she also charged up a spell

Then the two princesses unleashed their attacks which met head on. Neither one relented as the two blasts tried to overpower one another.

Unfortunately the two blasts suddenly merged into an orb as it began to get bigger and bigger. Both Pony and Luz had a look of horror on their faces as they realized what was happening

"Stop it!" Ponyhead shouted

"I don't know how!" Luz called out

It didn't take long before the orb suddenly let out a powerful shockwave of magic.

Without thinking Luz suddenly dashed right next to Ponyhead and conjured up a shield to protect the three of them but unfortunately they were still sent barreling towards the trees before they both dropped to the ground next to each other as they let out a collective groan.

After a moment Luz and Pony finally got up to sit down, both catching their breath. They said nothing to each other as they rested.

"You...saved me" Ponyhead whispered just enough for Luz to hear "Why?"

Luz didn't say anything as the she raised her wand and healed her injuries after which she moved on to Pony's injuries

Ponyhead could only watch quietly as Luz healed her injuries. She opened her mouth to speak but the other girl beat her to it.

"I...am not not like my family. We don't try to kill someone just because they pissed us off like some of mom's council does" Luz explained as she looked away sadly.

"Well you're right about that. Your family...I will be honest they scare me girl especially that crazy aunt Luci of yours. But I will say that you're right. You're not like them but you're still a bitch" Ponyhead said before she got a sad look on her face which Luz couldn't help but reciprocate

"What happened to us?" Luz couldn't help but ask "I mean I'm not sure if we were ever friends back then but we did tolerate each other more. Heck I used to hope…that we could actually be friends you know?"

"I don't know. People change or whatever. We never had much shared interests or anything…" Ponyhead said seemingly unsure of her own answers

"Yeah but even then we used to be on friendlier terms. You used to invite me to your house" Luz admitted

Ponyhead sighed and seemed to hesitate for a moment about something before talking "Look my dad always told me how he wants me to be like you. All princessy and behaved. Do you know how annoying it is being compared to you all the time? Heck I was pretty sure my dad probably wanted to trade me in for you!"

"Pony"

"It's bad enough that he wanted a prince and when I got made heir it wasn't just him. Even my sisters talk about how I should be more like you! That I should take a page out of your book which I'm pretty sure is just some dumb children's book!"

"Ponyhead. I'm sorry that happened to you. I thought you hated me or something if I had known…" Luz said

Ponyhead had a strange look on her face upon hearing Luz's apology before she suddenly turned around. "Yeah well...I'm sorry too about today for dropping in on you and forcing you on this trip...and for calling you Luzer but in my defense you called me by my first name which you know I hate!"

Luz couldn't help but let out a tired laugh at that. She could feel that there was still baggage between her and Ponyhead but it now a lot less than before which she couldn't help but feel relieved about.

The two of them then shared an awkward silence which Luz broke "You never told me but...why were you so insistent on taking us on another play date? I seriously thought we were never doing it again after the last one"

"Well I didn't really plan to hang out with you. I was just gonna try and trick you into doing a spell for me. Then I met your friend, Willow and she was really cool. I really liked her"

"Wait, a spell?" Luz said as she raised a brow

"Yeah, I got into a bit of trouble and some people have been hunting me down. I was hoping you could do something about it since you Butterflies are supposed to be good at shit like this. I mean, I can't stay anywhere too long otherwise they might find me"

"Wait, they're tracking you?" Luz asked which Ponyhead nodded "You don't think they would have tracked you down to where we left Willow do you?"

Luz and Ponyhead immediately got a look of panic on their face before they opened a portal to go back for their friend

Despite being tired, Luz and Pony Head had been prepared to fight whatever group was attacking Willow only to pause when they found her sitting on a chair and typing away at what appeared to be a scroll.

Next to her were the remains of broken robots which Luz recognized were from St. Olga. She also noticed that they looked like they had been destroyed with a sword judging by how they were sliced apart

"What happened here? Did you do this?" Luz asked as she and Pony looked around confused

Willow looked up from her scroll and gasped in surprise. "I was looking for you two everywhere!"

"Yeah sorry about that girl. Luz and I were just handling some stuff you know how it is but like she asked what happened here?"

"Oh yeah when I was wondering where you were, these weird golems came out of nowhere and tied me up but then this girl with long hair and a sword saved me! I didn't get her name but they called her a Woolett"

"Wait that sounds like-" Luz began to say but was interrupted when another portal opened up and several more robotic guards rushed out. The trio quickly prepared to fight them off, but then a massive pony head floated out from behind them.

"Cup Cake. Princess Luz."

"Hi Daddy." Pony head greeted him with a sheepish smile

"King Pony Head." Luz bowed.

"What is happening?" Willow asked, confused but also awed by the size of Ponyhead's dad.

"It's the end of the line." Pony Head admitted to everyone, "I'm going to St. O's."

Luz gasped, "Saint Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses?" Luz had a look of terror recalling the horrors of the personality ripping establishment which were also rumored to be secretly sucking the life out of princesses. "Pony Head, if you told us that we would have helped you...probably" she added the last part in a sheepish tone.

"Sure you would." Pony said before she suddenly pushed Luz and jumped towards Willow for a hug. "I'm going to the slammer!"

"It's reform school not prison," King Pony head told her, "Though admittedly, it is very much like a prison." he said casually

Pony Head sniffled, "Well, at least I got to make one awesome friend and had some fun."

Willow couldn't help but be touched by Pony's words "I'm so glad to have met you too"

"Yeah," Pony Head said before she suddenly slipped something into Willow's pocket and whispered something in her ear before being pulled back by the guards who had placed reins around her, "This isn't the last you'll see of me, no prison can hold me." she began to laugh maniacally as they dragged her into the portal.

The king paused and looked at Luz and opened his mouth as if to say something to the girl but decided not to. King Pony Head instead sighed, "Kids you have them and then you wish they weren't around." he said before floating into the portal which closed behind him.

"Wait!" Luz yelled out. "How are we supposed to get back to the demon realm?"

Willow suddenly let out a grin before she pulled out familiar looking scissors from her pocket, "Would these work?"

Luz couldn't help but gasp "With these scissors, we can go anywhere." Luz said

"Yeah" Willow said before she got a sad look on her face and looked at where the portal that Ponyhead went through

Luz noticed this "You really liked her huh?" She asked

"Yeah. I know I just met her but she was a really good friend...she reminded me of-" Willow didn't finish and instead shook her head "We should head back. How do these work again?"

"Well" Luz began to explain while she had an idea in her head

When Luz and Willow stepped out of the portal leading to the demon realm they were not expecting to see the house on fire!

Said fire was currently being put out by what seemed to be masked witches using a water spell to put out the fire. Luz recognized them as coven scouts. The local authorities.

"What happened here!?" Luz exclaimed as Willow stared in shock

Just then one of the witches approached them "Do you live here ma'am?"

"Yeah! I live here!" Luz exclaimed. Oh corn she hoped Gavin was ok!

"Don't worry ma'am! We've got this fire under control. We even managed to capture the culprits" the scout said proudly while pointing behind him

Luz got a bewildered look on her face when she saw said culprit was none other than Gavin and Sebastian who were wearing handcuffs and being led into a carriage

Poor Gavin was unfortunately a mess "No! Let me go! Somebody do something! It was the bird's fault! Tell them!"

"..." Sebastian however was not feeling talkative which made him look crazy

"No! Say something you stupid bird!" Just then Gavin spotted her and Willow and pointed "Ask her! She knows me! Tell them the truth! Tell them about the sucking room!"

"Get in there you sicko. You will be going away for a long time!" the scout escorting them said as he slammed the door on poor Gavin and Sebastian who just kept silent throughout.

"Yep! Everything is under control" the scout said proudly

Willow couldn't help but facepalm at the situation

Some time later…

Pony Head couldn't help but sigh as she settled down in her room for the next five years. She moved towards the window when all of a sudden Her mirror began to ring before Willow and Luz appeared in it. "Willow? Luz?"

"Hi, Pony Head!" Willow greeted me happily. "Luz let me use this magic mirror of his to call you!"

"Yeah," Luz scratched her head as she spoke "I figured since you both got along so well, you might want to stay in touch. No biggie. Consider it a little reconciliation gift"

"That's...actually very nice of you. Thanks Luz" Pony Head smiled.

"No problem" Luz said

"Well, Willow, tell me what's up! What's it like in the demon realm!" Ponyhead excitedly asked

"Okay, so after Luz and I got back there was this fire and…" Willow began to talk about all sorts of things mostly about how she was going to be switching tracks. Ponyhead didn't understand half of what she was talking about but was more than happy to listen and talk to her new friend

At that point Luz had decided to leave. She was glad Pony was able to make a new friend in Willow, she knew she had been unfair to her so this was her way of making up for it. She had been relieved that they were able to resolve the issue between them to a degree. But what's important was it was finally over...for now.
