If he hadn't been warned by Ossë and Uinen, Cirdan would have been somewhat afraid at the sight to the North. Physical darkness was slowly - carefully - moving out of the ocean, rising to at least twice the size of the Vala also leaving the ocean on its' nearer side. His eyes kept sliding off, so he decided to look down.

"Big, huh?" Ulmo was drifting in the small waves beside the dock.

"Certainly." The leader of the Falathrim softly agreed. Thingol had send many of his civilians just a while ago, most of whom were being temporarily moved onto Balar. As he watched, more forms appeared around Ulmo while the large form seemed to solidify. "They're moving on towards Doriath immediately?"

"Yes. Melkor hasn't made a move yet, so there's time still to head him off." Ulmo's Maia that was rumored to have been one following Melkor for a time shrugged, a large number of waves originating and shaking the docks briefly.

As they watched, the Ainur in the North disappeared and the for a moment it seemed as the large void being looked south. At least, Cirdan felt very sure he made eye-contact with something for a moment. It seemed to stretch, and while it could be some remnant of Ossë's waves, he was pretty sure he could feel the vibrations in the ground when it started galloping East.

Ossë laughed. "Wonder what they'll think of her."

Cirdan wondered if he should indulge the Maia by asking who he meant, but decided that he had too much to do with all the new residents for that. "I suppose we'll all learn soon." He nodded once, then turned to see to all the new arrivals.

Behind him, Ossë laughed some more as the winds picked up and then he was gone. "How's it going?"

Gaerwen was awaiting him back on solid ground. "Only one more trip of our fleet, and we'll have everyone on Balar." The other reported.

Cirdan turned some, to watch the returning boats that were on their trip back. "Good." While Doriath would be the sole target, for the time being, he didn't want to risk some random part of the army deciding to come here. If they had to evacuate from the mainland, he wanted as little people needing to get on the boats as necessary. "Only the sailors and warriors, yes?"

"Yes."

"Eglarest?"

"Last I heard, likewise. Certainly the ships from here keep encountering ships from there at Balar." His second shrugged lightly. "Did Ossë by chance mention how long this'll take? Because they did voice concerns that Balar could support that many people for long, even with the supplies Thingol has send along with his people."

"No." He was half-wondering if the Maia had been meant to inform them of that, simply forgot and had gotten too distracted by the arrival of the advance force. Too late to wonder now, since he was pretty sure Ossë had formally been part of that force and probably halfway up the Sirion at this point. "We will have to hope it's quick enough."

She hummed in agreement, before dipping off helping the arriving boats dock. Further into his city he saw many elves still, piles of travelpacks and large baskets nearest the harbor.

Cirdan hummed once himself, before turning to help secure the ship arriving at the dock nearest to him. This was far beyond his control at this point, so he could only do what he could do; getting people to safety.
