This story was mostly based in the Arrowverse with DCU elements. However, I did some world building as well. My military training taught me to provide a reference for acronyms and unfamiliar terms. This is slightly more than that.
I addressed the possible difference in culture by identifying idioms, slang, military slang, and referencing them here. This way when you see a phrase you don't get... 'cherry pick' or 'par for the course'... You can look it up here to try and figure out what the intent behind the phrase is. This will help you understand my local culture.

[Alfaar] – Arabic. 1) Mice. 2) League Rank Name to indicate that an individual is not League, but League affiliated. They collect various intelligence around the world and report it to the Ravens. Ghurab. They may or may not know about the League. However, all Alfaar are allies to the League in the outside world. i.e. Batman is not Alfaar. He knows about the League, but he opposes them. Alfaar align with the League.
Amazo – Fictional. Ship. Arrowverse creation. It is the name of the cargo ship Ivo uses. In DCU it is a robot that can mimic any superhero power used against it.
[Amin] – Arabic. Truthful. League name. Assigned to Demon's Venom. Qas. Male.
[amtihan]– Arabic. Test.
Arrowverse – Fandom. The version of DCU presented in the Arrow (2012). The Arrowverse included canon characters from Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman.
AU – Acronym. Alternate Universe.
Aura – Term. 1) a distinctive atmosphere surrounding a given source; a subtle sensory stimulus (such as aroma). 2) a subjective sensation experienced at the onset of a neuralgic condition (migraine, epileptic seizure). 3) an energy field that emanates from a living being. 4) a luminous radiation; nimbus.

BAMF – Acronym. Swear word. Bad Ass Mother F*cker.
Banshees – Myth. Creature. A female spirit who heralds death in Irish folklore. Spirit that manifests rage in physical form. A banshee can be seen and heard by ungifted humans. Their target is often driven insane.
[Barkih] – Arabic. Mage. League Title for all Shadow Warriors who have trained their magical skill. All may be Apprentice skill or greater.
Basilisks – Myth. Creature. A reptile reputed to be the serpent king that can kill with one glance.
BCE – Acronym. Before Common Era. Used to denote large periods of time BEFORE the birth of Christ. CE is used for AFTER the birth of Christ. This determiner has become the global standard that replaced BC and AD to eliminate the religious connotations. BCE replace BC. CE replaced AD.
Bialya – Country. Fictional. DCU. Bialya is a country in located in the Middle East north of Iran and Saudi Arabia. During the Cold War, the country was little more than an arid desert, with a small struggling populace. The Queen Bee declared herself the new ruler of Bialya and instituted aggressive initiatives that seemingly transformed the country overnight. The violent, pock-marked ghetto became a veritable paradise resort.
Bola – Weapon. A ranged weapon. Two or three weighted balls on cords.

CA – Acronym. California. State. United States of America.
CE – Acronym. 1) Civil Engineering. They include carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. They fix everything, but the aircraft. 2) Common Era. Used to denote large periods of time AFTER the birth of Christ. BCE is used for BEFORE the birth of Christ. Centaurs – Myth. Creature. Upper half man and horse from withers down. They are known for archery.
Central City – Fictional Location. DCU. Located six hours from Starling [Star] City. On the coast. Head canon puts Central City in northern California. The Arrowverse uses Central City as the home city for the Flash canon characters.
CEO – Acronym. Corporate Executive Officer. Company leader.
Chakras – Locations. Various focal points used in meditation. The Ruya uses the chakras to assist in identifying the spiritual energy of the living being. This displays positive and negative aspects of a being's intent.
Cherry Pick – Idiom. To choose something very carefully to ensure that the best option is chosen, perhaps through means that provide one an unfair advantage or from a selection that others do not have ready access to.
Clairvoyance – Ability. Magical ability to gain information about an object, person, or physical event through extrasensory input. (one who sees clearly). A clairvoyant can touch an object from that person and get a mental impression of that person in the present. Cisco Ramon's 'Vibe' powers used one aspect of this ability.
Creche – Location. Place where dependent young children are cared for communally. In the League, all children under 18 years old are kept and educated in the Creche. The Qas are responsible for the children in the Creche. This is to ensure uniform education of these children and to ensure their safety in the League. The creche is located in the most secure facility in League control.
Christo Redentor – Location. Statue. Christ the Redeemer Statue located in Rio de Janeiro. This iconic statue overlooks the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Cult of Blood – Fictional. Organization. 1) DCU. The Cult of Blood was started by a tribal shaman in Zandia who was trying to free his people from Crusaders. The shaman stole Christ's Prayer Shawl and corrupted it with the aid of the demon Trigon. The shaman became the first Father Blood. His bloodline was cursed. 2) Arrowverse. The Cult of Blood was created by a warped man who ran the Zandia orphanage in the Glades in Startling [Star] City. He became Father Trigon. The children raised in the orphanage became his disciples. Sebastion Blood was raised in the orphanage and took over the cult after Trigon's death. The children knew each other as 'Brother'. Brother Cyrus, Brother Blood, etc…

[Daghn] – Arabic. Venomous.
[Daghn al Ghul] – Arabic. Venom of the Demon. Demon's Venom. Short, the Venom. Branch of the League responsible for magic, sensing, poisons, infiltration, stealth, and distractions. It Covers Central and South America. Headquartered in Lima, Peru.
[Dawaar] – Arabic. To swim. League Name. Assigned to Demon's Spine. Qas. Male. Black. Medium build.
DCU – Acronym. 1) Desert Camouflage Uniform. Tan, brown, and light brown camo. 2) DC Universe. Common way for authors to identify when the source material comes from the DC Comics. If a specific retcon is referenced it will be indicated; Golden Age, Silver Age, COIE, COEX, New52, Rebirth, DC3…
Demon – Myth. Creature that is known to inhabit the hell dimension. Creature can send its mind and soul to possess humans. Physical beings are rare. Possessed and physical beings frequently copulate with humans. If a child results in this union, the human child will possess demon blood.
Demon's Claw (Makhlah al Ghul) – Arabic. Claws of the Demon. Short, the Claw. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Branch of the League. Responsible for training and martial prowess. Focus on martial training, arms, and martial combat. Special training for Majahid, the Warrior's Path. It covers Asia, Russia, and India. Led by selected Qayid. Headquartered in Chiu Monastery, Tibet with training facilities for new League members at Nanda Parbat.
Demon's Fang (Nab al Ghul) – Arabic. Fangs of the Demon. Short, the Fang. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Branch of the League. Responsible for difficult hunts. This branch takes responsibility for long hunts with various difficulties. Led by the Demon's Heir. Headquartered in Nanda Parbat, Tibet.
Demon's Head – Ra's al Ghul. Arabic. Head of the Demon. Designated leader of the League of Assassins.
Demon's Horn (Qarn al Ghul) – Arabic. Horns of the Demon. Short, the Horn. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Branch of the League. Responsible for infiltration and technology. Focus on developed nations. Special Training for Hasub, the Technology Path. Covers North America and Europe. Led by selected Qayid. Headquartered in Rome, Italy.
Demon's Spine (Shakwa al Ghul) – Arabic. Spines of the Demon. Short, the Spine. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Branch of the League. Responsible for stealth, infiltration, information gathering, and intelligence gathering. Focus on strategic and tactical planning. It Special training for Qayid, the Command Path and Ghurab, the Raven's Path. Covers Africa, Australia, and Oceania. Headquartered in Christ Church, New Zealand.
Demon's Shadows (Alzalil al Ghul) – Arabic. Shadows of the Demon. Short, the Shadows. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Responsible for all intelligence gathering for the League. The Shadows collects all the intelligence for the League and reports directly to Ra's al Ghul. Intelligence Branch of the League. Special training for Alfaar. Consists of fully trained Ghurab, or Ravens. Led by selected Qayid (Talia al Ghul). Headquartered in Gelephu, Bhutan.
Demon's Support (Saeid al Ghul) – Arabic. Support for the Demon. Short, Support. League specialty. Responsible for the support and maintenance of the League. Support is located within each of the Branches. They specialize in sewing (Khiata), medicine (Qayima), food (Qut), weapons and armor forging (Sagh), and specialized cleaning (Tanzif). Shadow Warriors no longer able to hunt due to age or injury are moved to Support. Specialty training for Support varies.
Demon's Venom (Daghn al Ghul) – Arabic. Venom of the Demon. Short, the Venom. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Branch of the League. Responsible for magic, sensing, poisons, infiltration, stealth, and distractions. This branch focuses on magic, sensing, culture, poison, distractions, and stealth. Specialty training for Barkih, the Mages Path, and Wahy, the Oracle's Path. It covers Central and South America. Led by selected Qayid. Headquartered in Lima, Peru.
Dirk – Weapon. Type of knife with a long blade. Long thrusting dagger. 12" to 18" long.
Divination – Ability. The magical practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means. Form of magical gift. Untrained divination can be used to find events in the immediate future. Trained divination can be used to see specific information.
Donkeys in Tomazo Town – Idiom. Slang. Haitian Slang. Bourik Tomazo. Creole. 1) It refers to people with similar appearance or behavior and often react similarly in various situations. Collecting these people refers to gathering followers. 2) endearing term is used to describe people who share an inseparable bond, always seen together and known for their deep friendship.
Dragon - Myth. Creature. Reptilian creatures the size of a horse or larger. In mythology worldwide.
DVI – Acronym. Digital Visual Interface. Refers to a type of cord connection to monitors and computers.

[Eadi] – Arabic. 1) Common. 2) League Rank for all Shadow Warriors. All full League members are Eadi, but when sorting League members. This is everyone without an Elite rank that are full hunters.
eSATA – Acronym. External Serial Advanced Technology Attachment. Refers to a type of cord connection to digital accessories.
Extraño – Spanish. Strange. Hero Name. A DCU hero who is known to use magic. South American origin.

[Fadi] – Arabic. Savior. League Name. Assigned to Demon's Spine. Eadi. Majahid. Male.
Faeries – Myth. Creature. Creature skilled at illusion or enchantment.
Faioa – Location. Island in country of Matā'utu.
FanFic – Fan Fiction. Amateur authors write about their favorite shows, books, movies, songs, etc.
Fanfiction – Fan Fiction. Amateur authors write about their favorite shows, books, movies, songs, etc.
[Fasir] – Arabic. Horseman. League Rank. Short for Fasir al Ghul. Used as a form of respectful address within the League. This was the rank achieved by Malcolm Merlyn before he left the League.
[Fasir al Ghul] – Arabic. Horseman of the Demon's. League rank. Short, Fasir or Horseman. Each Branch of the League is led by a Fasir. The Fasir is the highest-ranking League member in that Branch. All decisions are final. They frequently consult with Ra's al Ghul. They are special advisors to Ra's al Ghul known as the Hand of the Demon. They report to Ra's al Ghul. They manage their Branch of the League for Ra's al Ghul. Each Fasir will provide input to Ra's al Ghul about their current problems in their area of the world. This was the rank achieved by Malcolm Merlyn before he left the League.
[Fath] – Arabic. To open. Computer Virus. League name for Trojan virus that allows League members to infiltrate various digital systems and automatically download the Silea virus to allow data mining. Virus was created by Laurel and deployed by Ra's al Ghul to the League.
Fauns – Myth. Creature. Upper half human, lower half goat. Horns on the head. Fauns are pretty and innocent.

[Ghataa] – Arabic. To shield, to cover. League Name. Assigned to Demon's Horn. Qas. Male.
Ghosts – Myth. Creatures that are the mind and soul of a deceased sentient being. Also known as spirits.
[Ghul] – Arabic. Beast/Demon.
[Ghurab] – Arabic. Crow. Raven. League Elite. Classification for Intelligence skill. This title is only awarded after completing shadow training. Ghurab are expected to coordinate collection from non-League sources and coordinate Alfaar in their assigned area. After completing Ghurab training, Ravens are assigned to the Demon's Shadows. The Shadows assign them to a region of the world. They report to the Shadows and to the Branch Fasir for their location.
Gnomes – Myth. Creature. Earth elementals that are reluctant to interact with humans.
Goblins – Myth. Creature. Grotesque, monstrous creature that has conflicting abilities, temperaments, and appearances. Most often they are mischievous household spirits.
Godwave – Fictional. DCU. A wave of power created by The Source that allowed individual planets to create divine beings to represent aspects of The Source. The Godwave was initiated by the Hands.
Gotham City – Fictional. Location. Large city where Batman is the main vigilante. My AU places Gotham City in the location of Brooklyn, New Jersey. This places it in dark contrast to New York and on the water as a port city on the East Coast.
Griffins – Myth. Creature. Body, tail, and back of a lion with wings, head, and tail of an eagle. Intelligent.

[Haraq] – Arabic. Burn. League name. Second in Command. Assigned to the Demon's Venom. 'Afdal. Qayid. Master. Male.
[Haris] – Arabic. Guard. Keeper. Highest League rank for Majahid. Majahid. Critical. Bodyguards for Ra's al Ghul.
[Hasub] – Arabic. Technology. The Technology Path. League Elite. Classification for Technology skill. This title is awarded after the member has completed shadow training for this skill. Sholder piping: Blue. Journeyman-one pipe. Master-two pipes.
HDMI – Acronym. High-Definition Multimedia Interface. Refers to a type of cord connection to monitors and computers.
HIVE – Acronym. Hierarchy for International Vengeance and Extermination. An evil organization founded by Damien Darhk to counter the League of Assassins. It is identified as a terrorist organization. It is tracked in the outside world.
Horseman [Fasir al Ghul] – Arabic. Horseman of the Demon's. League rank. Short, Fasir or Horseman. Each Branch of the League is led by a Fasir. The Fasir is the highest-ranking League member in that Branch. All decisions are final. They frequently consult with Ra's al Ghul. They are special advisors to Ra's al Ghul known as the Hand of the Demon. They report to Ra's al Ghul. They manage their Branch of the League for Ra's al Ghul. Each Fasir will provide input to Ra's al Ghul about their current problems in their area of the world. This was the rank achieved by Malcolm Merlyn before he left the League.

Ikatic – Aztec. Cat.
[Ikram] – Arabic. Honor. League Name. Assigned to the Demon's Horn. 'Afdal. Master. Majahid. Male.
Inner Eye – Fictional. Ruya sense. The inner eye (mind's eye or third eye) is a mystical invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. The inner eye is a sixth sense to those with the sight. The Inner Eye is how Ruya refer to opening this sense to add to their sensory input. Opening the Inner Eye allows a Ruya to interact with spirits, communicate with a Nexus, and to sense auras.
Interpol – Acronym. International Criminal Police Organization. Inter-governmental organization used to police crime around the world with the cooperation of 196 countries. The DCU uses this as an international police force and demeans the organization by making them corrupt and easily bribed or subverted. Arrowverse continued this trend by allowing Malcolm Merlyn to subvert the organization.
Isthmus City – Fictional Location. Bond. City in Uruguay where Frank Sanchez has headquartered his drug operations. This fictional city is very corrupt and has been subverted by Sanchez for his drug operation. It is a port city. A coastal citadel is used by Sanchez as a fortress. The city is surrounded by farms and jungle.

Jinni – Myth. Creature. Jinn (plural). An invisible creature in early pre-Islamic Arabian cultures that are neither good nor evil.

[Katm] – Arabic. To hide, conceal. League Name. Assigned to Demon's Horn. Qasisa. Female.
[Khaba] – Arabic. To stash. League Name. Second in Command. Assigned to Demon's Horn. 'Afdal. Qayid. Master. Male.
[Khadash] – Arabic. To scratch. League name. Assigned to Demon's Spine. Eadi. Majahid. Male.
[Khadie] – Arabic. Deceptive. League Name. Assigned to Demon's Spine. Eadi. Majahid. Male.
Kord Industries – Business. Fictional. Kord Omniversal Research and Development Industries. Kord Industries for short. Owned by billionaire Ted Kord, the second Blue Beetle. My decision to have the League observe Ted Kord is due to his creation of the Skeleton Key in the Arrowverse. Ted Kord illustrates how scientists decide to create something that should not be created. They do it because they can, not because they should. While Ted is considered a 'good guy' in the DCU, he has questionable motivations.

LAN – Acronym. Local Area Network. Refers to a type of cord connection to digital network.
[Latif] – Arabic. Gentle. League Name. Assigned to Demon's Venom. 'Afdal. Qayid. Journeyman. Male.
League – Fictional. Organization. Short for League of Assassins.
League of Assassins – Fictional. Organization. Short, League, the League, or LoA. 1) AU. The private name of the ancient order that serves the Source to preserve balance in the world. 2) DCU. The name for an ancient cult dedicated Ra's al Ghul and his intent to force the world to bow to his will. 3) Arrowverse. The name for an ancient cult dedicated to vigilante justice and corrupted in recent centuries by the current Ra's al Ghul.
Leprechauns – Myth. Creature. Solitary creatures who make shoes and count their gold.
Ley Lines – Term. 1) Archaeologists and scientists regard ley lines as an example of pseudoarcheology and pseudoscience. Ley lines are straight alignments drawn between various historic structures, prehistoric sites, and prominent landmarks. Ley line alignments were recognized by ancient societies that deliberately erected structures along them. Ley lines demarcate "earth energies". 2) AU. Ley lines are tangible energy forces that flow through the earth. Magical energies can tap into this energy. Ruya are sensitive to this energy. Trained Ruya can use this energy to interact with spirits. Nexus are where two or more ley lines converge.
LoA – Acronym. Fictional. Organization. League of Assassins.

[Majahid] – Arabic. Fighter. The Warrior's Path. League classification. Classification for Fighter skill. This is the default title for a League member without any other specialization. [Makhlah] – Arabic. Claw.
[Makhlah al Ghul] (Demon's Claw) – Arabic. Claws of the Demon. Short, the Claw. One aspect of the Hand of the Demon. Branch of the League. Responsible for training and martial prowess. Focus on martial training, arms, and martial combat. Special training for Majahid, the Warrior's Path. It covers Asia, Russia, and India. Led by selected Qayid. Headquartered in Chiu Monastery, Tibet with training facilities for new League members at Nanda Parbat.
Matā'utu – Location. Country in Oceania
[Menna] – Arabic. Favor, grace. League name. Assigned to Demon's Venom. Qasisa. Female.
Merlyn Global – Business. Fictional. Merlyn Global Group. Short, Merlyn Global or MGG. The company that is owned and run by the Malcolm Merlyn. It is headquartered in Starling City [Star City].

Robotics integrates many fields that deal with specific aspects of robotics. For example, within mechanical engineering, the term robotics refers to the construction of the physical structures of a robot, while in computer science, robotics focuses on the study of robotic software.
[Ruya] – Arabic. Ability. Sight, vision. This is a natural ability in those individuals with this gift. All Ruya are born on a Major Nexus. However, untrained Ruya do not tap into this ability easily. Untrained Ruya get feelings and intuition that may or may not assist them. Trained Ruya are able to focus their ability and skill to a large degree. They interact with spirits, Nexus, and personal auras. Rarely, a Ruya will also carry a magical gift. Usually this is precognition. Very rarely, a Ruya can use the Nexus and ley lines to astral project. The League identifies and trains Ruya and gives them the rank of Wahy.

The Sagh are responsible for forging or creating the specialized weapons and armor used by the Eadi. Shadow warriors are given this rank when assigned to this Support group. Solstice Visions – Fictional. Ability. Individuals with the Ruya have the ability, when trained, to receive visions from one of the Great Nexus on Winter or Summer Solstice. These visions are a small prediction for the future. A trained Wahy in the League reports their vision to the League and a decision is made to prevent that vision or to assist it.
Soul Bond – Fictional. When two or more souls are bound together by the Source. The League considers the two to be married by the Source. The bonded partners are more resistant to mind, magic, and stressors when together. They are more effective together. Apart they will lose focus and be less effective. If one partner is injured or killed, the remaining partner will fly into a rage. League weddings create a soul bond through their ceremonies. The outside world lost their ability to bond souls. League wedding bonds are not as strong as natural soul bonds. League weddings are not common.
