Jungle Fun with Two Elders and Green Princess!
Jaune is seen sitting on the front part of the house while looking at his notebook and holding the pencil close to his face.
"Okay, maybe I can try… No, the islanders don't have tech that advance yet." Jaune crossed the idea out of his mind.
"Oh, I could try an army of dolphins to assemble and help me get out of the island by swimming with them under water!" Jaune suggested as he write this down.
"But wouldn't you get pulled away from the dolphins and back here by the whirlpool?" Maria asked standing next to him.
"Oh, I just thought that the island would let the animals go and…" Jaune paused his sentence and look over to his left seeing the short elder woman.
"Hey there, sunny." Maria greeted and Jaune jumped in shock throwing his notebook and pencil in the air.
"Elder Maria?" Jaune surprised.
"Yeah, that's me! Don't wear it out or I may hunt when I pass on." Maria joked.
"What brings you here, ma'am?" Jaune asked as he sat back up.
"Just came by to see how is your pointless attempt to escape the island coming along." Maria answered with a chuckle.
"Well, if you know so much then you obviously know that none of my plans have worked." Jaune said a little annoyed.
"Yeah, figured as much I thought you've been taking it easy and enjoying yourself." Maria mentioned.
"Yeah, the girls I made friends with helped me see I shouldn't rush things, especially when it comes to a big curse like this one." Jaune said smiling.
"Oh, sounds like you're growing quite fond of them." Maria smirked.
"Yeah, it's good to know that I won't be lonely after being separated from my family." Jaune said as he wonders how his family is doing back home.
"So, would you consider starting your own family with any of the girls on the island?" Maria asked.
"Family? Well, the girls do seem great with each other and some of them are reminding me of my sisters." Jaune said thinking about it.
"What about in another way like… your own wives?" Maria asked teasing.
The instant Elder Maria asked that question, Jaune's face became seven different shades of red and steam came out of his ears like an engine train as suddenly his mind is going crazy thinking about the girls he met so far on the island including some of the older women he met too.
"What? Why the fuck are you asking me about that?!" Jaune asked freaking out.
"Huh, wait… What did I say?" Maria acted confuse.
"Hey! Don't pretend you didn't do anything?!" Jaune yelled though Maria is unfazed.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to see if you would like to go walking in the jungle today?" Maria remembered what she came here for.
"Walking through the jungle?" Jaune surprised to hear that, then his mind went to remembering his time when he ran into those Grimm.
"There aren't going to be anymore of those monsters, right?" Jaune asked a little scared.
"I wouldn't worry about it, the path we take is pretty clear of Grimm so it's a smooth nature walk." Maria said.
"Well, I got nothing better to do…" Jaune entered deep into his thinking for a few seconds before coming to a decision.
"Okay, I can join for that walk." Jaune decided.
"Great, now let's get going." Maria grabbed Jaune's arm with her cane dragging him along.
"Whoa, hey, wait a minute!" Jaune tried to break free, but surprisingly he couldn't.
"Sorry, but we can't waste a single minute for this walk." Maria laughed excitingly.
"My God, you are one strong old lady!" Jaune commented.
"Of course, I'm strong! I was one of the strongest Remnant Warrior of the whole island!" Maria bragged with a smirk.
(On the Edge of the Jungle Area)
Maria still dragging Jaune around have come to the jungle while the latter is trying to get out and keeps telling the old lady that he can walk on his own.
"Can you please let me go?" Jaune begged.
"Not until we get there." Maria said.
Five seconds later.
"Okay, we're here." Maria smiled and push Jaune down.
"My, my, is this the man you have spoken about, Mara?" An elderly woman asked walking up to him.
"Yep, that'll be this one, Frida. Bet you didn't think something like this would happen while we're still alive in this world." Maria smirked.
"I'll admit, I never suspected a man of all things to wash up on our island." Frida said.
Frida is a thin, elderly woman with short, spiky white hair and dark blue eyes. She wears a green and white hospital outfit with a silver bracelet on her right wrist.
"Hello, I'm Jaune Arc." Jaune greeted as he got back up.
"Frida, it's nice to meet you." Frida greeted back.
"So, we're going through this path into the jungle?" Jaune asked.
"That's right, me and Maria used to come into that path all the time when we were kids and had lots of fun there." Frida explained.
"It's also where this icy girl mistaken a rock for a sexy woman trying to have sex with her." Maria mentioned laughing.
"Oh, yeah? Well, I seem to recall you trying to practice this one move for your fighting style and ended up being hung upside-down by a vine." Frida countered laughing as well.
"I still can't believe you were there taking a nap." Maria laughed.
"Wow, you two must had some pretty good times together." Jaune commented.
"You better believe it, young one. We both were strong warriors back in our prime." Frida said.
"Yeah, not even the newly strong warriors could best us except for the queen and few others." Maria mentioned.
"Well, now I feel a lot safer going in there with you two." Jaune said looking at the jungle path.
"Not yet, we have to wait for someone who will be joining us." Frida mentioned.
"Oh, you dragged a young one into this too?" Maria asked.
"Not exactly, this one is more worried about my health just like all the rest and she's coming along to make sure I don't send myself to the afterlife too soon." Frida explained.
"I see, the people have been saying that I shouldn't be moving around too much." Maria rolled her eyes.
"Honestly, haven't these people forgotten what we were back in our days!" Maria annoyed.
"I know it can get in our nerves at times, but we must also remember to help out the next generations to help protect the island from the Grimm that continues to exist even today." Frida stated.
"(I wonder if Salem has been trying to get ride of the Grimm too?)" Jaune thought asked.
"Well, that girl better get here soon or else I'm charge in the jungle myself!" Maria said pointing her cane at the jungle.
"Now hold on, she told me that she was getting something for the nature walk, so let's be patient." Frida said.
"Hey, I'm here!" A girl called out.
"Ah, there she is." Frida smiled as she and the others look to the girl running up to her.
"I'm so sorry if I kept you waiting, it took a bit longer to find my weapon." The green-haired girl explained her reason.
"Hi." Jaune greeted getting her attention.
"No way, you're Jaune Arc! I've been wanting to meet you since I missed my chance at the castle!" The green-haired girl excited.
"The castle, you mean Queen Salem's castle?" Jaune asked.
"Yeah, that is where my mom lives along with Cinder, Neo, Glynda, and some staff members." The green haired girl mentioned.
"Wait, are you saying…?" Jaune paused of shock when he just realizes something shocking.
"That's right, I'm also a princess of Remnant Island. My name is Emerald Fall, nice to meet you." Emerald introduced herself to Jaune.
Emerald is a young woman with medium-brown skin and dark-red eyes. Her hair is a light, mint-green with a straight fringe and bangs as well as two long locks on each side in the back. She wears a green tank-top shirt and matching sweatpants with two white stripes on each leg, green shoes, and a necklace with a shiny green jewel and the cord is gold. She also wears a brown belt around her waist and carry what appears to be guns hanging from the back. Breasts sizes: E-cup.
"Whoa, never expected to meet another princess of Remnant though you don't resemble Cinder. Then again, she doesn't resemble Salem." Jaune said.
"I know, I was adopted into the royal family after I was picked up when I was a little girl being all alone in the island." Emerald said.
"Alone, what do you mean?" Jaune asked.
"Hey, you kids can talk about a sad story WHILE we walk through the jungle! Now come on, we don't have all day." Maria marched into the jungle path.
"She's right, we don't take kindly to anyone who slows us down." Frida chuckled and follows Maria.
"Why don't you tell me about your life while we enjoy ourselves." Jaune suggested holding out his hand to Emerald.
"I would like that." Emerald nodded and took his hand as they walk after the two elders.
Maria and Frida are just several feet ahead for Jaune and Emerald to keep watch over them though despite being old and a little wrinkly, those two can move like no body's business and the shorter elder performed a back flip on a tree and Frida picked up a little log throwing it off the path with one hand.
"Hey Frida, check out that fruit!" Maria pointed at a big mango fruit up on one tree.
"Haha, reminds me of how we used to play "Kick the Mango" a lot and even when we kept it from touching the ground the longest." Frida remembered laughing a little.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Maria asked with a grin.
"You know it, sister." Frida grinned back.
Maria runs ahead about ten feet while Frida gets into position with her hands together and planting her feet firmly on the ground.
"What are they doing?" Jaune asked.
"Something extreme no doubt." Emerald rolled her eyes.
"Should we stop them?" Jaune asked again feeling worried and concern for the elders.
"Nah, just let them have this. It's not every day some old folks would want to go out reliving their memories from their youth." Emerald stated.
"You have a point there, reminds me of how my great-grandpa wanted to play with me and my sisters when we were little though his body couldn't move much, and he passed away." Jaune remembered that day.
"At least you have someone to care for." Emerald said walking ahead of him a little.
"You mentioned you were adopted; how did you meet them?" Jaune asked.
Emerald took a moment of silence as she feels her past is painful to talk about, but she also remembers the words her adopted mother, Salem, told her that talking about it can help ease the pain.
"I was abandoned by my mom when I was a little girl, all alone and dropped at an orphanage though I didn't stay there for long." Emerald stopped at one tree placing her hand on it.
"I don't remember much when I was so little, but it felt like I didn't fit in with them and I was impatient to find a family of my own. So, I ran away and just raise myself in the jungle." Emerald mentioned looking up seeing some sunlight through the openings from some leaves in the trees.
"It must've been hard for you, to fend for yourself when you have no one to turn to and hoping for something to happen to make your days better." Jaune guessed how Emerald must've felt during those times.
"Yeah, I think that's how I felt and you're right, something did happen while I was on my own and I was grateful for it." Emerald smiled remembering that day.
"I was at the village deciding on stealing some food to feed myself." Emerald said.
The five-year-old Emerald is seen hiding within the corner of a building looking at one food stance with tasty and juicy looking fruits, waiting for her chance to steal at least one when the opportunity opens up for her.
Then she saw a certain tall, white-skinned woman walking along with her daughter as they came to the fruit stance and brought some fruits from the stance, this was the moment Emerald was waiting for and she ran fast grabbing a mango from the younger Cinder who was surprised.
Emerald ran as fast as she could to get away from the people she just robbed and hide in an alleyway, panting as she turns to see that no one has followed her.
"You know, you could have just asked for the mango." Salem said as she and little Cinder appears behind Emerald as a magic circle above them disappeared.
"P-Please don't hurt me! I just want to eat in peace!" Emerald begged crying a little.
"It's okay, we're not mad at all." Cinder assured.
"You're not?" Emerald confused.
"No, little one. Everyone is just trying to survive, to get through the hardness of life even on our paradise." Salem kneeled and stroke Emerald's head.
"What's your name?" Cinder asked.
"Emerald." Emerald answered.
"Where are you parents?" Salem asked.
"I don't have any, just me." Emerald answered again as she is about to cry.
"Well, this won't do, right mommy?" Cinder asked her mother.
"Yes, I believe you deserve what you sought out for so long." Salem smiled.
"…More food?" Emerald guessed making Salem giggles and picks her up.
"Love." Salem said as she picks Cinder up too and brought them in for a warm hug.
Little Emerald became surprise of this as the hug is sinking in and her tears are pouring out, but these were tears of joy and cries happily hugging Salem and Cinder back.
"It was then that I found the love Salem spoke about, the love of a family that I've always wanted all because of stealing a mango fruit."
(Present)
"It was the greatest day of my life, one that I vow to never forget. Then Neo came along, but you'll have to ask her that yourself." Emerald smiled.
"Wow, that… that's amazing." Jaune sobbed trying to cool it with the tears and acting a little tough.
"Yeah, it sure was." Emerald nodded.
"Hey, you kids better get a move on or we're leaving you behind." Frida called out.
"Hey, Jaune." Emerald said after he calms himself down.
"Thanks for listening, you really a nice person." Emerald complimented.
"Thanks, you too." Jaune smiled.
The youngsters caught up with the elders as they climbed up a tree and start swinging on some vines as they decided to try it too, though Jaune was having trouble getting the hang of it as he kept getting tangled up and Emerald has to be the one to help him. The swinging ends when they reached a certain spot that Maria and Frida know all too well, a spot where it's just at the edge of the waterfall looking down at the watering pool.
"Oh my, still as high as I remember." Frida commented.
"Hey, how about we try doing our diving techniques? Bet that would get the old springs bouncing again." Maria suggested.
"Don't even think about, you two." Emerald stopped them from actually diving in.
"I think I prefer looking at this nice view." Jaune checked the awesome view out.
Suddenly four large black centipede monsters came out from the edge as Jaune jumps back.
"What the fuck…?" Jaune gasped.
"Odd, I don't remember a bunch of Centinels being here." Maria surprised.
"Maybe they got separated from the others." Frida guessed.
"Well, now they're about to be separated from this world!" Emerald brought out her guns and start shooting at them.
Emerald managed to kill three of them, but the fourth got past her and tried to go for Frida thought she jumps out of the way. However, Frida gasp in pain and fell on her knees.
"Frida!" Maria worried.
Suddenly Jaune just sprinted and stood in front of Frida acting as a shield for the old woman, but the attack never came as Emerald got it with her gun becoming chained sickles with the blades piercing between the bone armor and Maria jumps into popping up the blade to slash at the spot cutting it off.
"Are you okay?" Jaune asked Frida.
"I am fine, just some pain from these old bones." Frida said.
"I think it's time we head back." Emerald stated.
"Here, I can carry you if you want." Jaune offered and Frida smiles seeing what a kind man he is as she got on his back, and everyone went back through the path.
"(My time in this world is growing shorter, but at least I'll have the good memories including this one.)" Frida thought smiled.
