Making it Through to the Sunset
Jaune gulps while starting to sweat from finding out that the Pyrrha who was just caught up with him and suddenly grabs him by the cock, she turned out to be Neo disguising as Pyrrha while the real one came up to warn him too late.
"He... Hey Neo, doing okay?" Jaune asked nervously.
Neo just gave him a nod and walks closer while swaying her hips to make herself look sexy to him.
"Jaune, get out of here! I'll hold her off!" Pyrrha advised as she stands between Neo and Jaune.
"Don't got to tell me twice!" Jaune quickly turned around and ran for his life.
"Now Neo, maybe you can find it in your heart to let Jaune go." Pyrrha hoped to reason with the mute girl.
But Neo just smirks and bends down with one knee close to the groan, this causes Pyrrha to sigh knowing that she is not going to back up from this hunt and will have to fight her.
"Should've known better than to try talking you down from this." Pyrrha said to herself.
Neo jumps high and down at Pyrrha for one kick to the head as the red hair young woman blocks the attack with her arms, leaning backward a little though held herself strong.
"I can see you're strong despite just wearing so many faces." Pyrrha commented.
She quickly grabs Neo by the leg and spins her around hoping to make Neo dizzy for a bit and then Pyrrha throws her opponent away.
"Now to get back to Jaune!" Pyrrha hurried into the direction Jaune ran into.
But Neo wasn't so dizzy as Pyrrha had hope for and smirks as she was able to grab onto the bark of a tree to make herself move around that tree and flip herself up and landed on a tree branch.
"(Looks like this is gonna be fun.)" Neo thought smirked, not minding the chase like this.
Jaune ran the fastest he could while hoping that Pyrrha was able to hold off Neo away, but then he trips over something causing him to fall face-first to the ground.
"Ow, what was that?" Jaune asked groaning in a little pain.
Jaune looks over his shoulder to see that it was a thin wire hidden low, close to the ground and tight enough from both ends to make him trip just now. This could only mean that another woman of Remnant Island is nearby, he needs to get his bearing together and start running again before this woman reveals herself.
"Whoever it is this time, I rather not stick around." Jaune stood up and was about to run again.
"Oh, but don't you wanna play with me, Jaune…" Emerald asked, revealing herself to be behind the Arc boy and wrapping her arms around his neck.
Jaune let out an "Eep" noise from his mouth that he instantly knew he has just been caught by another member of the royal family, and this one is apparently a sneaky one at that.
"Emerald, fancy meeting you here." Jaune greeted.
"Yeah, now hope you don't mind if I bring you with me for some fun." Emerald grinned.
"I rather not." Jaune tried to break away, but Emerald isn't letting him go due to having the superior strength advantage.
"Come on, I can promise you are going to have loads of fun with me. And my family too if I feel like sharing." Emerald said as she thinking of ways to please Jaune.
"Do you even know how to please a man?" Jaune asked, and then mentally slaps himself in the face because it was a stupid question since this is an all-female island and haven't seen men in centuries.
"Shouldn't be too hard to figure out." Emerald shrugged.
"(Okay Jaune, think of something and be quick about it!)" Jaune thought tried to think of an escape plan.
Jaune notices a flower growing from a tree, hoping it's the same flower as before when Neo use it to knock out Harriet earlier, he quickly reaches out to grab the flower and shoves it right onto Emerald's face that makes her cough.
But instead of putting her to sleep, Emerald ended up hiccupping a bunch.
"Okay, not the sleeping flower." Jaune surprised.
"Don't think that *hiccup* is gonna *hiccup* save you." Emerald said with hiccupping between the words.
Jaune quickly ran again while Emerald is trying to chase after him, but the hiccupping is making this very hard for her to keep her focus on the blonde boy and almost trip a few times.
"That's it!" Emerald took out her blade and launches one that extends with a chain rope.
It was about to reach for Jaune to wrap around his waist and pull him back to her, but a certain strong red hair girl jumps in to kick the bladed chain away and have to stab into a tree again.
"I take it you're not gonna back down?" Pyrrha guessed.
"Of course!" Emerald yelled and charges at Pyrrha.
Pyrrha and Emerald started having a brawl as the mint hair girl took out another blade trying to slash at her, the red hair fighter is able to parry away the blades from touching her and knocks them away from each hand before throwing a kick to send her flying, but Emerald performs some backflips to regain her balance.
"You're gonna *hiccup* do better than that." Emerald pointed out.
But then she notices that Pyrrha isn't here at all, that's when Emerald realizes that she must've run off while she was kicked away and doing the backflips.
"Oh, now that is just *hiccup* rude." Emerald commented, looking upset.
Jaune and Pyrrha who caught up with him kept on running for a long while now trying to find a good hiding place so that no other girls would find them, they managed to do so hiding behind and under some bushes that was very good at hiding them.
"Come on! He gotta be around here somewhere!" Yang yelled, growing impatiently as she looks around.
Blake is with Yang sniffing the ground with her nose but couldn't find anything scent of Jaune nor Pyrrha.
"I can't pick up their scent. They did well in hiding themselves." Blake informed.
"But they were definitely here, ran past this spot some time ago." Yang guessed; she has never been good thinking things much like some of the others she knows.
"It is very likely." Blake crossed her arms under her breasts.
"Let's keep searching, maybe they went that way!" Yang pointed in one direction and ran off.
Blake is getting a feeling that they might be closer than they realize, but she has no way of knowing that for sure since their track has gone cold. So, she follows Yang in hoping her guess is right, not really knowing that they are closer like right next to them.
"God, I can't believe they haven't found us yet." Jaune sighed in relief.
"Yes, we've been here for at least an hour now. Not only that, but there is only two hours left until sunset." Pyrrha mentioned.
"That's great… Wait, how can you tell without looking at my Scroll?" Jaune asked.
"I've been good at keeping track of time." Pyrrha smiled.
"Oh, that's cool." Jaune was impressed with learning another thing about Pyrrha.
"Do you think it's safe to come out?" Jaune asked.
"Hmm, let's wait a bit longer and then we'll come out." Pyrrha decided.
The two waited for at least thirty minutes as no more girls came running past here, so it was safe to come out.
Pyrrha and Jaune came out of the bushes after the former check to see that there aren't any girls out here right now, they smile at each other thinking they're gonna be fine until an arrow fell down right between them stabbing the ground.
"Oh no…!" Jaune and Pyrrha shocked.
"About time you guys came out, I was starting to get bored." Cinder's voice said.
Jaune and Pyrrha slowly turn around and look up to see Princess Cinder sitting on a tree branch with one leg over the other and holding a bow with one hand.
"Now, we can begin the fun again." Cinder smiled.
"How did you even know we were hiding in the bushes?" Jaune asked.
"Quite simple, when I came up here trying to find out, I notice some tracks like a brunch of sticks and leaves were pulled from behind you two and it got me thinking that you two must've been hiding here and quite well, if I may add." Cinder explained.
"You notice something that was barely seen?" Pyrrha surprised.
"That, and there was also a faint footstep outside of the bush as well." Cinder added. That causes Jaune to gasp in fear, thinking this may have been his fault for pulling in some more leaves just wanted to make sure they were hidden well.
"I've been waiting up here for about around twenty minutes, waiting for you two to finally decide on coming out feeling that you're safe… Until now." Cinder explained as she points at herself.
Jaune was starting to feel the fear again about being caught by one of the girls of the island though at the same time, he can also feel some little excitement about one of the girls being his favorite.
"(Wait, since when did I start some of the girls as my favorites?)" Jaune thought confused at himself.
"And now, we can begin the chase." Cinder readied herself to come off from the tree branch.
"Jaune! Run!" Pyrrha screamed.
Without saying anything back, Jaune ran with Pyrrha at the same time just as Cinder jumps off from the branch letting them have a few seconds head start.
Jaune and Pyrrha ran through the woods hoping to lose the princess in the jungle only for a large Ursa Grimm to fall dead on the ground, killed by a few warriors.
"Hey, there's Jaune!" One of the women yelled.
But then Pyrrha picked up one rock and threw it so hard that it bounces between the three women knocking them out at the same time.
"Perfect shot!" Pyrrha smiled.
"Nice one, Pyrrha!" Jaune amazed of that rock throwing skill.
"Yes, quite impressive, indeed." Cinder smirked as she is now very close to Pyrrha.
Pyrrha's eyes widen of shock to see the princess has already caught up to them and swings the bow with speed that the red hair prodigy was barely able to dodge it, Pyrrha then responds with a counterattack of a punch though Cinder easily caught it with one hand.
But Pyrrha wouldn't give up that easily as she jumps to kick her with both legs making her stumble back a few feet, she looks back at Jaune giving him a quick glance telling him to run now and he does so in a sprint.
Cinder comes back throwing some strikes that Pyrrha blocks and tries to parry them away then striking back, but it's not easy fighting against the Princess of Remnant who is known to be the best fighter and one of the strongest warriors of Remnant Island.
Cinder threw a kick that Pyrrha quickly blocks with her arms, but she was pushed back about six feet from the sheer force of that kick.
"I see you're strong as ever, Princess Cinder." Pyrrha complimented.
"Thank you, I do keep myself in shape like the other warriors. And place, you no need for the formality when we're not at the castle." Cinder reminded her of that.
"Of course." Pyrrha nodded before she charges fast towards Cinder to begin the fight again.
(With Jaune)
Jaune is still running hoping to not run into any more of the girls and women of the island until the contest is over, but then a dagger was thrown at a tree that Jaune was about to run past making him stop in shock.
"Good reaction time, Mr. Arc." Glynda commented, walking into the scene.
"I take it you're good with throwing knives." Jaune guessed.
"Quite well, and I suggest you don't do anything and let me have you." Glynda demanded softly with a smile.
"Oh, I don't know about that…" Jaune chuckled, slowly moving one foot.
But then Glynda threw another knife faster than Jaune could react as he stabs to the ground, close to his foot.
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you cannot leave for I'm about to win this contest." Glynda proclaimed.
"I was afraid and… Queen Salem, are you trying to grope Glynda from behind?" Jaune surprised.
"What?!" Glynda gasped.
"Your majesty, surely you can behave yourself better than…" Glynda turned around to scold the queen, only to find there is nobody there. Just an empty path and a gentle breeze blowing by.
"What… Jaune, I believe you may have been hallucinating from the exhaustion due to all of this running from the contest, perhaps you would like to take a… rest…" Glynda turned around again only to find that Jaune is completely gone from the spot.
Glynda's eye twitches from the realization that she has been played by the young male to let her guard down for him to slip away.
"I hope she doesn't get mad at me for tricking her like that." Jaune felt bad for using Glynda's loyalty to Queen Salem against her.
Jaune jump over a few big roots and then started running along on top of some wiggling and wide logs and overgrown tree branches, then a giant sharp feather came down almost hitting him if he hadn't rolled forward.
"Oh great, another Grimm." Jaune panted when looking up to see a Nevermore flying towards him.
The Nevermore screeches and charges at Jaune who quickly ran to avoid it ramming through the wooden bridge by mother nature herself, he was able to get cross before it crumbles down and ran into the woods again.
The Nevermore gave chase from over the trees and shooting down its sharp arrows.
"Doesn't that thing have better things to do, like getting worms for the little ones?" Jaune asked panicking while dodging the sharp feathers.
Luckily for him, Ruby was thrown by the combined strength of Nora and Elm to pierce her scythe right into the neck of the birdy beast making it screech in pain, then she swings forward to make the cut bigger and moves up to flip herself a little high and slash down cutting the head off.
"Yeah! Way to go Ruby!" Jaune cheered.
"I see you!" Ruby called out.
"And I'm going now!" Jaune started running again.
But Jaune ended up falling down a deep slope that he didn't see coming and going down very fast while bracing himself for some leaves and branches he goes through along the way, hoping this ride will end soon.
"(Okay, not what I have in mind, but still better than having the girls chase after me.)" Jaune thought believed.
Jaune saw the ground is coming closer and quickly form himself into a ball and rolling down as he crashes into a bush.
"Okay, I think I'm in the clear." Jaune sighed in relief.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that, Jaune." Salem said.
Jaune froze up for a moment and slowly turn around to face the Queen of Remnant Island herself, standing there with a calm smile on her face.
"Figure I'd run into you." Jaune said.
"I was biding my time and see if you would ever come here, and I was right." Salem explained.
"Now, let see if you can avoid me like you have done with the other girls." Salem lifted her hand as it glows dark red aura.
Jaune wasted no time in running away from the Queen as she uses her magic power to cause three trees to out of the ground, Jaune was able to grab onto one as they swirl around to trap him inside, but he jumps out before it could close off on him and he ran again.
Salem appears through a magic circle to grab him, but he ducks under the hand and slides across the ground before he jumps off.
"Oh, this is going to be fun." Salem giggled.
The chase continues on for some time as Jaune just arrives at the beach with Salem right behind him.
"Jaune!" Pyrrha called out as she jumps out of the jungle.
But she wasn't the only one as Coco and Velvet, Nora, Winter, and Rin came out of the jungle as well.
"I got you now!" Rin yelled.
"In your dreams!" Winter believed this win is his.
"Oh dear, it looks like we only have fifteen seconds left." Salem realized, this causes the girls here to realize they are running out of time, and they all charge for Jaune at the same time while Pyrrha hopes to push him out of the way.
For some reason, Jaune is having a flashback of his whole life before his eyes as the girls' hands are getting closer to him.

It looks like the Running of the Remnant is about to end right at this very second where Jaune's fate is going to be decided, and the outcome is going to be something that most wouldn't expect to happen though it may turn out better. Not sure yet, but you'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out.
