As Izuku keeps walking down the path with Lampent and Galvantula at his side a huge gust of wind blows by almost knocking his hat off. After it stops he looks up only to see dozens of Pokemon floating around. Realizing they're Cottonee, he wonders what so many are doing together before he remembers about them pairing up this time of year at Rainbow Valley.
Turning to his Pokemon Izuku asks, "We are almost near Rainbow Valley with the diamond breeze and where Cottonee pair together, do you guys want to go see it?" "Lamp Ent Lampent," Lampent chimes happily while Galvantula nods while chirps, "Gal Galvantula." "Alright then let's follow those Cottonee to Rainbow Valley!" Izuku yells excitedly as they start following the path and Cottonee.
As they keep walking down the path Izuku hums happily and can't wait to see one of the most beautiful scenes in all of Unova with his Pokémon. Izuku arrives at the field in Rainbow Valley and sees all the Cottonee, observing that some are battling each other with a few female Cottonee watching them.
The winner of one battle goes over and the Cottonee attaches itself to it happily. "Hmm so that's how they decide who pairs together if more than one goes after the same Cottonee," Izuku mutters while writing what he sees in his notebook. He starts writing about all the different possibilities of attacks and ways Cottonee are able to dodge by floating around attacks or blocking with cotton.
Then, realizing he hasn't released his other Pokémon, quickly pulls out the Pokeballs tossing them in the air; "All aboard Jangmo-o and Riolu." "Riolu Lu," Riolu calls while being let out, Jangmo-o comes out before roaring, " Jangmo-o mo-o." "Easy guys, I just thought you would like to see the Cottonee pairing and diamond breeze," Izuku says while they cheer before joining Lampent and Galvantula watching the events. The Cottonee continues to pair through the evening until almost dusk, That is when the wind picks up and the Cottonee start floating down Rainbow Valley where as the light hits the waterfall a rainbow forms. The breeze going through the rainbow starts sparkling like diamonds before the Cottonee fly away. "That was amazing, don't you guys think so?" Izuku asks while looking back at his Pokémon.
They cheer before setting up camp and going to bed, tired after seeing those amazing things. The next morning before the sun is even out Izuku continues down the path with his Pokémon. As he crosses a bridge all of a sudden he hears an explosion from up ahead. Izuku quickly runs across the bridge and down the path looking for where it came from when he sees a man in a lab coat slowly getting up beside what remains of some sort of machine.
" Sir are you alright?" Izuku asks while running up and helping the man to stand. " I am all right, young man, the name's Professor Icarus. May I know your name?" The Professor asks after standing and looking at what is left of the machine. "Oh my name is Izuku Kandó. What was that explosion if you don't mind me asking?" Izuku replies, tilting to the side curiously. "Oh, this machine I used to detect cosmic energies and was trying to configure it to detect dark matter, which seems to be a total bust," Professor Icarus replies, starting to pick up the pieces of the machine.
"Let me help you with cleaning that up," Izuku says and starts picking up the pieces as well. After a few minutes they have all the pieces and the professor leads Izuku into his lab and shows him where to leave the parts, while Izuku asks questions about what he researches. Over the course of the day Izuku learns a lot about space and anything to do with the cosmos along with Icarus theories about space and dark matter. "Well thank you for the lesson Professor, the stop at this station was wonderful. I gotta get back on track to my journey, but I will be keeping an eye out for that book you say you're almost done writing," Izuku says at the lab's entrance. "It was very nice to meet you and if you ever have any questions about space don't be afraid to come knocking, "Professor Icarus responds. "I will," Izuku says while he smiles before turning back onto the road.
