Sorry guys, I've been on ao3 a lot recently and completely forgot to update this over here so here are the latest chapters.
Izuku woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs wafting through his half-open door.
He sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes tiredly as the events of the day before came rushing back to him. Sighing, he shoved the bedsheets off him violently and padded softly to the kitchen.
Shouta was standing at the stove, already in his hero costume, scraping the eggs around the frying pan. He smiled when he saw his younger brother plonk himself down in one of the chairs and yawn.
"Coffee," the greenette muttered.
Shouta snickered. They were different in many ways, though it seemed the caffeine craving was a definite sign of their familial ties.
Five minutes later, they were sat across from each other with bacon, eggs and coffee in front of them.
"I went to see the others last night," Shouta told him after a sip of the hot drink in his hands.
Izuku's eyes widened. "Did you tell them about…"
Shouta gave a curt nod. "Dad didn't take it too well, neither did Himiko. Kurogiri made Katsudon to help." At his brother's look of disappointment, he added, "You didn't miss out, there's some leftover in the fridge."
Izuku beamed.
Just then, there was a loud knock at the door. Shouta frowned but went to open the door anyway.
Lying on the floor outside the door was a letter with the UA crest stamped onto the back.
Shouta picked it up and grinned at his brother.
— — — —
Izuku sat at his desk, staring blankly down at the unopened letter in front of him.
If he didn't get in, would All Might be mad at him? Tenko and Asuka would try to burn the school to the ground. Dad would probably help them, though Izuku knew he would be quite pleased that he wouldn't have to fight his son in the future.
And if he did get in…
Izuku wasn't sure he was ready to become a hero without his mother standing by his side all the way.
He blinked. Now was not the time to cry. Letter first, cry later.
He reached forward hesitantly and opened the seal. Izuku reached inside and pulled out a black disc.
Suddenly, a hologram version of All Might popped up and Izuku shrieked, falling over the chair.
"Young Midoriya," hologram All Might said. "I am here with your results!"

Shouta was cleaning up the dishes when something slammed into his back.
His instincts took control and he spun around, capture scarf at the ready, to see… his younger brother a few feet away looking terrified. There were tears running down his freckles cheeks and his eyes were shining with fear.
Shouta dropped the capture scarf and moved forward to hug him. "I'm sorry, Izu."
Izuku shook his head lightly and smiled up at him through the tears. "No, I'm sorry. I was excited because I got in and I needed to hug you and-"
Shouta cut off Izuku's rambling with another hug. "I'm happy you got in but we do need to talk about the entrance exam."
Izuku groaned, and let go of him. "I was hoping you'd forget about that." He wiped his eyes.
The pro-hero raised an eyebrow. "You show up at a hero school exam with a new quirk and think I'll just forget about it? No. What I want you to tell me is where you got it from. We both know you don't accept quirks from dad or take quirks yourself."
Izuku dipped his head. "I probably shouldn't tell you this… but… IgotmyquirkfromAllMight."
"You what?"
The younger one took a deep breath. "All Might sort of… kinda gave me his quirk."
"Okay," Shouta rubbed a hand over his face. "I am going to make myself some coffee and then we are going to sit down and talk like civilized people about how the fuck you have All Might's quirk."
Izuku nodded slowly. "Okay… but can I have some too?"
Shouta glared.
Three minutes of awkward silence and two steaming mugs of coffee later, the brothers were sat facing each other at the table.
The greenette spoke up suddenly. "In my defense, he offered…?"
Eraserhead sighed. "First, how did you meet All Might? Then we can talk about this quirk shit."
"Mum didn't like you swearing," Izuku said, trying to lighten the mood. He huffed dramatically when all he got in response was a disappointed frown. "Remember the Sludge Villain?" Receiving a curt nod, he continued. "I was attacked before Kacchan…alone"
Shouta looked horrified. "Why didn't you tell me?! You could've died!"
Izuku looked pointedly at his older brother. "I didn't tell you because I knew you'd react like this! Anyway, All Might saved me but I wanted to ask him a question so I grabbed onto his leg when he flew away. He stopped on a rooftop and I asked if someone quirkless could be a hero. He…" Izuku paused before continuing quietly, "He said no."
Shouta snarled. "That motherfu-"
"Wait!" Izuku cut him off. "I'm not done! So anyway, he left and a bit later I started walking home when I heard a big explosion. Apparently, when I grabbed his leg, the bottle with the Sludge Villain in it fell out of his pocket and escaped. That's how it attacked Kacchan. You know what happened after that seeing as it was… all over the news." He chuckled nervously. "All Might came to find me later and told me that his quirk wasn't actually his, someone passed it down to him and someone passed it to them, etcetera, etcetera. He said that I had a heroic spirit and he wanted to pass his quirk on to me but I had to train a lot first or it would blow my arms and legs off."
His older brother was looking at him with a dumbfounded expression. "Right… so All Might's quirk isn't All Might's, now it's yours and you've been training for the last ten months, don't you dare think I didn't notice, to use said quirk without killing yourself."
Izuku shrugged nonchalantly. "Pretty much."
"What the fuck, Izuku?"
The younger brother looked around frantically for an escape route and his face brightened when he glanced at the clock. "Would you look at that!" He exclaimed, standing up. "I have to go now." And he ran.
Shouta grabbed his arm with the capture scarf and pulled him back, "Oh no you don't. You will tell me where you want to go before you even think of leaving my sight," He hissed.
"Um," Izuku mumbled. "To see All Might?"
Shouta's face hardened and he stood up. "I'm coming with you."
Izuku glared. "Uh uh. You're not supposed to know, remember. Plus, you have a meeting with Nedzu now. It's been in your calendar for weeks."
"Fine! Just… be safe, alright?"
Izuku smiled and hugged his brother. "I will. You need to go."
"Alright, alright! I'm going!" Shouta yelped as Izuku shoved him out of the door.

"Ah! Young Midoriya, there you are!" All Might called as Izuku ran across the newly cleaned beach.
He stopped and bent over, panting, when he reached his mentor.
The blond hero winced. "Are you alright, my boy?"
"Just tired. I woke up early this morning and didn't get a lot of sleep after yesterday…" he trailed off.
All Might deflated with a small cough. "I'm so sorry, my boy. I saw it on the news last night. Do you have a place to stay?"
Izuku hummed. "I'm living with my brother and we'll be moving in with his husband soon."
The hero frowned. "I wasn't aware you had any siblings, my boy."
"I have two brothers and a sister actually but the other two aren't old enough to look after me yet. Speaking of which," Izuku laughed nervously. "I had to tell my brother about One For All." He hung his head. "I'm sorry, All Might."
All Might smiled. "It's alright, young Midoriya. It's not really my secret to tell anymore as I'll have to retire soon. But may I ask why he was suspicious?"
"He's Eraserhead. He saw the entrance exam. As he's going to be teaching me soon, I thought it would do more harm than good if I didn't tell him," Izuku explained.
All Might's face lit up. "That's wonderful! It means that you can have additional help in developing and utilising One For All. On that note, Why don't we have another go using it?"
Izuku smiled.

Shouta stalked through the halls of UA, face buried into his scarf.
He had passed a few teachers so far, all going about their business preparing for the new school year. Not surprising, considering it was in just a week. However, the one person Shouta hadn't been expecting to come across was his husband.
He had been walking past the General Studies department when something yellow ran into him. The attacker pulled back when Shouta's quirk had flared up instinctively to reveal the grinning face of Present Mic.
Eraserhead sighed as his hair dropped and Hizashi spoke. "How's the little listener?"
"He's alright. He stayed asleep after you left so I went to tell the others." The last word was whispered.
Present Mic nodded. "Glad he got some sleep. Where are you off to?"
"I've got to see the rat," Shouta groaned. "He wants to talk about Izuku."
"Well then," Present Mic squeaked with a nervous look around. "I'll leave you to it."
Then he ran away. The coward.
Shouta rolled his eyes fondly and kept walking.
A few minutes later, he arrived at a large door with the words 'Principal's Office' written down the side in Japanese.
Shouta looked forward and stared directly at the hidden camera above the doorknob. He heard a sigh from inside and the door swung open.
Nedzu was sitting at his desk with a cup of tea, frowning at the visitor. "You aren't letting me have my fun, Aizawa-kun," he grumbled. Then his face brightened. "Tea?"
Shouta shook his head and sat in one of the chairs facing the principal's desk. The walls in the room were white and covered in framed pictures of the staff. A few armchairs were placed around a coffee table on the other side of the room and a small kitchen counter with a kettle was in the far corner. Shouta had never noticed that kettle before.
Wait!
So that was where he got his never ending mugs of tea from.
A small chuckle brought him out of his musing and he turned to the principal.
"Like it?"
The Erasure hero groaned. "Coffee's better."
"Alright. Let's talk about Midoriya-kun now," the principal's face grew serious. "He will be in your homeroom. I expect you will want to keep your relationship under wraps for the time being."
"Preferably for as long as possible," Shouta agreed.
Nedzu nodded in understanding. "In that case, you must remember to refer to him as 'Midoriya' and he should refer to you as 'Aizawa-Sensei'. Apart from Yamada-kun and Kayama-chan, none of the staff know that you are related, with the exception of All Might who will be starting as the heroics teacher this year."
"Why is he teaching here?"
Nedzu grimaced. "I see Midoriya-kun has told you about One For All. All might is teaching here to better train his successor to handle the new quirk."
Shouta frowned. "I don't suppose I could expel him?"
The principal laughed. "No, as he is not a student. I would like to see that though… Anyway, I feel the need to remind you that you cannot treat Midoriya-kun with favouritism."
"So if he isn't suitable for the hero course-"
"Then he'll become my private student!" Nedzu cut it happily.
"Oh god no," Shouta muttered under his breath. "Not another Nedzu."
The rat narrowed his eyes. "What was that, Aizawa-kun?"
"Nothing!" Shouta quickly amended. "I meant to ask, do I have permission to-"
"To expel as many students as you like?" Nedzu interrupted again, grinning ferally. "Absolutely! We have some… interesting students this year."
"Mineta Minoru, I take it?"
The principal hummed. "Multiple counts of sexual harassment. You may also want to look into Shinsou Hitoshi. He seems promising."
Shouta smiled. As he had transferred from General Education himself, he looked out for possible transfers every year. He didn't often find any that were good enough to join the hero course though.
After a moment of silence, Nedzu spoke again. "On that note, I think it is time we start the staff meeting."
Shouta was confused. "What staff meeting?"
Nedzu smiled. "The one I decided to have right now." And he pressed a large red button that was sitting on his desk. Shouta could hear an alarm sounding throughout the building and sure enough, not a minute later, the teachers burst into the office wearing panicked expressions.
"Nedzu," Present Mic panted. "Villains!"
The person in question only laughed. "That is a different alarm. This alarm was set off for another reason; I called a staff meeting!"
"What the fuck?" Snipe muttered.
That elicited another cackle. "I heard that!"
— — — —
"Again, young Midoriya!" All Might in his small form cheered as Izuku ran across the beach. "One more time!"
Izuku panted as he turned to do another lap. Running fast over sand was a lot harder than it seemed. He could hear laughter and happy voices in the background as he ran; people seemed to be enjoying the newly clear beach. Golden rays of the midday sunlight beamed down across the water and the waves were splashing gently.
Izuku skidded to a halt, breathing heavily.
"Well done, my boy!" The blond hero congratulated him. "That was fifty laps! You have excellent endurance."
Izuku beamed up at his mentor. "What now?"
All Might's grin vanished suddenly and he wobbled a bit. "Ah, about that… I have someone I'd like you to meet."
The teen froze. All Might looked terrified and his knees were shaking. He wasn't sure if he wanted to meet someone that could scare the Number 1 Hero this much. What sort of horrible person could-
Then it hit him…
…literally.
As in, something whacked the side of his head and he fell over sideways.
Izuku sat up, groaning and rubbing his head, to the strangest sight he thought he might ever come across.
All Might was being berated — told off by an old man half his height in a bright yellow cape who was shouting something about 'no situational awareness'. And he wasn't doing anything. He just stood there with his head hung low taking the words like a naughty child being scolded.
Izuku was still gaping five minutes later when the old man turned to him, adopting a more neutral expression. "Who are you, boy?"
The greenette scrambled to his feet and bowed. "Midoriya Izuku, sir."
"Right," The stranger nodded slowly, as if making a hard decision. "I'm Gran Torino, this idiot's teacher from back in the day," He said, jabbing a thumb in All Might's direction.
Izuku was confused. This was a bit… random.
As if picking up on his unspoken questions, Gran Torino heaved a sigh and continued. "I'm here to help you use One For All.
Yep. That made more sense. "A-alright, Gran Torino-san."
"Well then, fire up a punch at me."
Izuku froze. "Y-you want me… to hit you?"
Gran Torino scoffed. "Exactly. Get to it, I don't have all day."
The teen blinked a few times but powered up One For All in his right arm and swung it towards Gran Torino who…
…wasn't there anymore?
Blinking again in shock, Izuku looked around frantically. Gran Torino was sitting down in the sand behind him looking quite comfortable. The older hero grinned at the boy. "Try again!"
'Okay,' Izuku thought, while bringing the power back up in his arm. He swung another punch and missed again.
"You're doing it all wrong," grumbled a voice from behind him. Izuku spun around and, sure enough, Gran Torino was once again sitting on the sand. "You're thinking of One For All as an extra tool to help you only when you need it," He said, frowning at Izuku. "A quirk isn't a tool; it's an extension of your body. You need to let it flow through your entire body, not just one limb."
Gran Torino jumped to his feet with more energy than someone of his age should have. "Try spreading one percent through your body. Imagine turning on a water tap; don't let it all come out at once."
Izuku closed his eyes and imagined the power spreading slowly throughout his body. About a minute he heard a cheer and he opened his eyes to look down at his legs and arms. Red lines laced across his skin for a moment before they faded and green lightning crackled everywhere. Izuku looked up shocked and met All Might's eyes. The older hero beamed and gave him a reassuring nod.
"Good job, kid," Gran Torino said. "Now… try moving."
Izuku clenched his jaw, stepped forward and promptly fell flat on his face.
"Get up and try again."
— — — —
Thirty minutes and several mouthfuls of sand later saw Izuku running across the sand, charged up with fifteen percent of One For All. All Might was smiling proudly at his successor chasing after his old teacher.
They stopped soon after for Izuku to have a drink from a plastic water bottle All Might had brought with him.
"Right, let's try this again but using your original quirk at the same time," Gran Torino exclaimed.
Izuku stilled and his face drained of colour.
The older hero noticed this and he adopted a sheepish look. "It's alright if you don't have one, kid. Toshinori didn't have one either."
Izuku swallowed the lump in his throat. "Uh… I-I d-do have one, s-sir."
Thankfully, All Might stopped the conversation before Izuku had to reveal his quirk. "It's getting late and young Midoriya must be tired. Maybe we can do some more tomorrow, Gran Torino-san?"
Gran Torino grunted. "Fine, but it's important that we train your original quirk too, boy. One For All will have made it stronger so it might be harder to handle."
As he turned to trudge down the beach, All Might mouthed 'I'll explain' to the teen before walking away.
Izuku breathed a sigh of relief. At least he wouldn't have to see Gran Torino's response to hearing about his quirk. He wasn't sure how bad the reaction would be.
Then a thought struck him. Shouta would probably be back from his meeting by now. Izuku could train One For All with him.
He ran towards the road and didn't slow once until he reached his apartment.
