Unlike the first two times, Makoto and Ran were being led back together, blindfolded, with four men behind them. However, they knew they were going walking beside each other from the foot pattern each had, not to mention how each of them would ask the men what was going on, bug would end up receiving grunts.

They shared a look and nodded at each other, knowing that they were both thinking the same thing. They had to get out of here by any means, they had to escape.

They stopped in their tracks and before the men could urge them to keep moving forward, they knelt down and performed a trip kick, each of them causing two men to fall onto the ground, Makoto and Ran tore off the cuffs with their strengths as they moved their arms, and removed the blindfolds.

The men started to regain composure and aimed their rifles at them, but Makoto and Ran kicked the rifles out of the two that aimed at them, before sending hard punch into their faces, knocking them out. They then grabbed the rifles and slammed it on the head of the remaining two, knocking them out too.

"Did you memorize the pattern they would take us from?", Makoto panted from the adrenaline rush he felt.

"We would move two rights then 3 lefts, and one last right before walking ahead, where a car would take us.", Ran nodded, trying to catch her breath, before she and Makoto sprinted ahead.

"We just passed the two rights, since we usually meet up after them, if we finished our matches at the same time.", Makoto nodded.

He started running ahead first, Ran following behind, but her gut told her to glance behind her, and she did, and she frowns once she saw the men getting up, but they were taking their time, as if they did not care if they escaped or not.

'Why aren't they getting back up quickly?', She thought before she looked around, 'No traps…and I don't hear any men rushing nearby, despite the cameras watching us…'.

The thoughts went inside Ran's head back and forth, hundred percent sure that something wasn't right but she was trying to come up with why this was happening. What could that possibly mean?

Her eyes widened.

"Makoto stop! It's a trap!", She cried as she stopped dead in her tracks, before she felt something piercing her the back of her neck, and she started feeling dizzy.

"What?!", Makoto cried in disbelief, before he felt something piercing the back of his neck, and he started feeling dizzy too.

Both of them fell onto the ground, and the last thing they both saw were two black boots approaching them.

Ran woke up, feeling groggy, and she wanted to move her arms, but she felt them tied. She snapped out of her grogginess quickly once she felt this and looked down. She found herself strapped into a metal chairs with metal chains, her legs were tied to the chair's legs while her arms were on in the armchair.

She looked around, and found herself in a very elegant, expensive-looking office, but her eyes landed onto the one next to her, strapped in the manner on another chair; Makoto.

"Makoto! Wake up!", She called.

Makoto opened his eyes slowly before he shook his head. He attempted to move his wrists, but it was useless, considering how he was bound.

"What happened?", Makoto mumbled in confusion and disbelief.

"You saved your lives.".

Ran and Makoto looked ahead at the sound of the male voice across them. The leather chair behind the large mahogany desk turned around, revealing a young looking man in a dashing black tuxedo suit. He had a pale complexion, with blue eyes, and greasy black hair.

He looked handsome, but what was alarming was the large red scar on his right eye, the cold look in his eyes, and the sick twisted grin on his face.

"If the little doll here had not discovered the trap, you two would've been experiencing a top tier level of torture.", He said as he pulled out a cigar, and lit it up for himself with a lighter, before placing the cigar between his lips.

"My men were waiting at the end of the route, and they would've beat you up, worse than how you would beat up an animal, considering the sticks, brass knuckles, and other stuff they've got.", He explained before he took a breath in and then let out the smoke.

"You're Enigma…", Ran recognized him instantly.

"And you recognized me! Looks like you ain't just a cute nice fighter, you've got some wits too.", Enigma laughed in mockery before he grunted, "Must've got it from your parents.".

"What do you want from us? Surely you didn't have your men ties us here just to talk.", Makoto asked, disgust and anger evident in his voice.

"Actually, I do want to talk.", Enigma shrugged, "Do you know why I created the Bloodsport?".

"Because you're a sick maniac.", Makoto spat.

"And because it somehow generates money.", Ran guessed.

"It's impolite what you just said.", Enigma said while pointing with his finger at Makoto before he pointed at Ran, "And you're correct. The views of the Bloodsport on social media are blasting, and even hundred times more on the dark web.".

"Dark web?", Makoto mumbled in confusion while Ran's eyes widened before she shook her head.

"You guys are crazy, you're monsters!", Ran cried angrily at the top of her lungs.

"Who cares? We're rich! Filthy rich!", Enigma laughed before he titled his head and asked with a smirk, "Do you honestly think I'm the only one behind this?".

"What do you mean by that?", Makoto asked instantly.

"I've been doing this for years. It's just the first time I've aired it on tv.", Enigma boasted as he took another breath from the cigar before blowing the smoke out, "Which means… Either ALL of the law enforcement suck, or some, or maybe even most, just don't give a damn about I do.".

"What are you trying to say?", Ran asked suspiciously.

"That no one is going to come for you, and even if they try, they'll fail miserably. So, just accept your fate, and fight to survive. And maybe when one of you wins, he'll end up being my special bodyguard or my personal fighter, living a royal life.", Enigma explained with a confident twisted grin on his face before he looked at Ran from top to down a couple of times and added, "And I don't mind having a gal with me.".

"Every sick maniac like you has an end, and you'll meet yours soon.", Makoto growled.

Ran tried to lean forward with her neck, to move closer as she threatened, "My parents are going to find you. Not just them, everyone we know will try to find you, and they'll end you.".

"Oh, I know.", Enigma said as he stood up and walked toward both of them, standing behind their chairs, "But you were naughty kids, trying to escape, so I need to punish you…".

Enigma pulled out a remote control from his pocket as he said, "And by the way, you weren't chosen randomly. You want to blame someone, blame your parents, for they don't understand, that you reap what you sow.".

"What?!", Makoto and Ran cried in disbelief, wanting to know more about what Enigma was talking about, but he did not give them a chance to even think about what he had just said.

He pressed the button on the remote.

Makoto and Ran felt immense pain rushing through their bodies, and they could not stop themselves from letting out gut wrenching screams as they spasmed around, the electricity going through their bodies, ten times worse than the first time they got electrocuted.

It would go on for a coupe of minutes, before Enigma would remove his finger, giving them only a few seconds to take their breath, before he repeated the action again.

All while Makoto and Ran were screaming, Enigma had a sick grin on his face before he walked away, standing in the corner of the room, before he pressed on a second button in the remote control and glanced sideways at what was on his desk across them, that neither of them had noticed.

A camera.

"This will be a good gift to Mouri, Kisaki, Kyogoku, and Nara.", Enigma mumbled to himself before he placed the cigar in his mouth, "I wish I could see their reactions, but alas, I've gotta wait until the finale.".

The Next Day,

Early Morning,

"Why are you with us?", Rei asked annoyed as he drove his car to the location of one of the former lawyers of Enigma Group, the one who got famous who was named Tsurugi Kenta.

"In order to avoid conflict, and watch over Masumi as Shu asked.", Jodie explained from the back seat.

"I'm fine with her or anyone with that matter, but Shuichi.", Masumi replied with her arms crossed from the front seat, an annoyed face expression on her face.

"May I ask why you had Masumi sit next to you?", Jodie asked curiously.

"She's not an FBI agent.", Rei shrugged with a small smirk.

"And I'm not going to be one, I'm thinking about joining the NPA SB.", Masumi said.

Rei's smirk changed into a smile as he said, trying to contain his strange excitement, "I can get you in easily.".

"I'd appreciate that!", Masumi replied as she looked at him.

Jodie looked back and forth between the two of them before she rolled her eyes and scoffed lightly, 'Right… It seems you let her next to you not just because she ain't an FBI Agent.'.

"We're here.", Rei said as he parked his car near a four story building. The fourth story had a sign written on it in Kanji; Tsurugi Lawyer Office.

Tsurugi was a man of an average height with some weight, light skin, short hair, and black eyes. He was wearing a tux, sitting behind his desk in his office, holding a cigarette in his hand as he spoke on the phone.

"So, I see you've done some upgrades in the Bloodsport this time. And it looks like the police hasn't found anything yet.", Tsurugi said to the speaker on the phone.

"And they won't. They will watch as their children descend to darkness until they either obey me, or kill each other. They deserve this.", The speaker said on the phone.

"Well, you know where to find me if this gets to the court. You sure want to get revenge on so many people.", Tsurugi chuckled.

"I'm not sure I can trust you with how you've become popular, people may try to approach you for information.", The speaker replied in uncertainty, and Tsurugi did not miss the hidden threat.

"No one has found out anything about you for the past year, Enigma, so calm your head. I doubt anyone will be able to find anything about you.".

Tsurugi ended the call just as the door opened suddenly, Jodie, Masumi, and Rei barging in, while a thin male tried to get them out.

"I said you've got no appointment-".

"Let them in, go back to your work.", Tsurugi waved his secretary off. The secretary stared at the trio before he nodded and closed the door behind them.

"To what do I owe this visit? You're lucky I'm free now to talk to you.", Tsurugi said in an obnoxious tone.

"You're Tsurugi Kenta, the former Enigma group lawyer, the top one to be exact.", Jodie said.

Tsurugi frowned before nodded slowly, "Correct… Why?".

"Are you really that stupid? I think you already know why we are here.", Masumi spat, trying to contain her anger.

"Don't do anything stupid or else-".

Rei did not get to finish his sentence because Tsurugi pulled out a gun with a silencer and fired at Masumi. The latter managed to move her head to the side, missing the bullet by centimeters, while Rei lunged forward toward him, wrapping a hand around his neck, while holding the hand with the gun up high.

Jodie then pulled the gun out of his hand.

Rei tightened his grip on his neck, feeling a strange immense amount of anger after Tsurugi's attempt on Masumi's life as he hissed, "You'll tell us everything you know about the Enigma Group.".

"You can't do anything to me!", Tsurugi hissed as he eyed the button he'd press to call his secretary in. He just had to have a sound proofed office.

"You want to challenge the FBI?", Jodie threatened while aiming the gun at him.

"The police are also on their way here. We've got evidence that you're connected to the Bloodsport.", Masumi smirked.

"You're bluffing! You're just trying to get me talk!", Tsurugi cried, trying to be strong, but deep down he was afraid.

"Alright then, we can stay here like this. And you'll end up going to court, and receiving a life sentence, unless you cooperate.", Rei threatened.

Masumi secretly pulled out her phone and started audio recording.

Tsurugi's eyes widened. He had worked so hard to make all the money and reach this level of wealth, he was about to lose everything, and will end up rotting in prison while Enigma is having fun. He had seen it before, anyone who was caught, he would end up betraying them easily, or even kill them.

If he was going to go down, then he won't go down alone.

"I don't know his real name. He goes by a fake name with forged papers; Jack Enigma.", Tsurugi started talking, "He chose the name Enigma for the mysterious aspect around him, and Jack for Jack the Ripper.".

"He forged his name around eight years ago before Enigma group took off a year later. All I know was that he used to be shady businessman before he lost everything to the hands of justice; police officers, lawyers, judges, you name it. He then started the Enigma group with the money he made on the Dark Web, and started the Bloodsport, but it used to be live on the web only. This is the first time he does it live on tv.".

"You know what sort of work could be done on the dark web; human trafficking, drug dealing, weapon deals. He was involved in everything. He got so rich that he has multiple armed men protecting him.".

"T-That's all I know I swear!", Tsurugi cried.

The door burst open again, and two men with rifles aimed before they started firing.

The three rolled out of the way, with Rei letting go off Tsurugi, who ended up receiving all the bullets in his body.

Masumi leg tripped one of the men while Jodie fired at the other, her bullets piercing his neck and chest, killing him.

Rei then jumped onto the man on the ground, pulled the rifle out of his hand before he head butt him, knocking him out. It was then that he noticed the dead secretary.

"We need to hurry out of here!", Rei cried as he picked up the knocked out man, "Let's take him to the police!".

"What happened? You weren't answering our texts!", Shukichi asked worriedly once the three entered the manor. Everyone was there as usual, but Vermouth decided to wear a disguise whenever the Kyogoku family were here.

"Tsurugi's dead, but we get some answers.", Masumi said, motioning with her phone.

"Two men tried to kill him and us, but I killed one while Masumi tripped the other and Furuya knocked him out. We handed him to the police station before we arrived.", Jodie explained.

"I made sure the car wasn't bugged before we moved, and there were no cameras in the office, so we're safe for now.", Rei explained as Masumi handed her phone for Conan for him to start the record.

"You were amazing back there.", Rei complimented her with a smile.

"And you're so different when in your agent mode.", Masumi joked, making Rei chuckle a bit.

Subaru coughed, but both of them glared at him.

"What's goin' on? I don' understand…", Kazuha asked Heiji, noting the interest Rei and Masumi had in each other but Subaru did not like this, and they did not like him.

"It's a long story… I'll tell ya later.", Heiji sighed as he rubbed the back of his head, having heard the story from Conan.

"Play the recording then.", Minato said grimly.

Conan did so. Everyone listened intently to the audio.

"That's it?! That's all he knew!", Haruka cried in disbelief, her arms around Eisuke who patted her shoulder to calm her down, "He was practically useless!".

"Not exactly.", Eri said, her voice hoarse from crying, "The police now need to find which of the competitors had police officers, lawyers, or judges for parents.".

"We can gather the names and find the case they were involved in.", Kogoro added, "Including Eri and I.".

"Minato used to be a police officer while I used to be a paramedic.", Hana said, "That means we could've been there too, particularly Minato.".

"But… we still don't know the location of the fights or the mastermind.", Haruka pointed out in worry.

"We'll figure it out Haruka-chan, I promise you.", Eisuke assured her.

"At least we've got something to find more information about…", Hidemi mumbled with her arms crossed.
