Chapter 2

All right, we're back well in another story obviously I'm almost finished with the second story of my counterpart which story I have at least a handful of chapters left but this story has just begun. King of the School is the name of it and I hope you enjoyed the first couple of chapters now we're at chapter 2.

I should say the first part and check the first handful of chapters.

OK, then this first half will be all about my life at the school as a child here and growing up here before we get to the stuff about Valencia Valencia Valencia.

Sooner or later so let's begin this chapter.

And I'll give a breakdown of what this chapter is gonna be about.

I think we'll jump a little more ahead. There's not much that happens in the next several months or year and this year I'll jump to what I'm a little older. Now we need to jump as quickly as we can through these chapters. I still have to deal with my evil family obviously and my evil ex as well, but my new friend, young friend Maleeka, and my new best friend Devon. Are by my side to help me out.

My ex still pursued me the years have dropped till I'm 18 years old the age that my evil family wants me to get married I'd rather jump to that far ahead than 17 because nothing provincial has ever happened.

Also, now that I'm 18, I can get my place on campus. I will mention all my time that I have lived in the cottages in the apartments but now they're gonna give me my own place to live even though I'll still be attending school on campus, but I'll be given my own place to live.

All right that's what this chapter is about.

And they will take place around before my 18th birthday, so I'm still 17 for a short bit.

It was close to my 18th birthday the day closer to my doom clock, but my new family reassured me that that was never gonna happen. I'm not gonna get married and we moved out of the school and will have a surprise for me later. I've been doing well in my classes, especially in the classes that taught me how to be alone. The home was one of my best at first and wasn't one of my best subjects but now my best subject is I can get an apartment when I graduate. I asked they nodded. Everyone agreed that I was doing well.

Maybe not academically, but I was doing in other studies well even though I didn't want a household of my own, I never wanna marry and have children unless I lived somewhere away from my family, which is impossible or I should say my ex-family the school is my family my family, and my friends live here they go to school here.

I was still 17 one day away from my birthday. It was October and it was my birthday.

It was October 19 and my birthday was October 20 one day away from my 18th birthday my new friend my new young best friend Maleeka and my other best friend Devon How to surprise for me I was so excited with them as my besties. It was so good. Becky was my best friend and Jennifer was as well. Devin was dating her right now even though he wanted to date Maleeka but the reputation he would have for dating her would not be good because of her age.

They asked me if I was ever gonna date again and I said no I only fell in love once I don't know if I'll ever fall in love again. I said they told me not to worry that one day love would fall into my lap one day, I laughed and thought yeah like that'll never happen to me.

A year or two have passed since I told my family off from the last IEP and I told him not to schedule anymore cause I had no family to have IEPs with and I had no more sent calls cause I had no one to call Home to and on holidays when school was closed, I would just have a caretaker at the school to take care of me and during the summer the same thing cause no one took me as their guardian for me to have him as a guardian for me I had none the school became that and they came that legally when I was a kid now that I was 18 it was gonna be different when I turned 18 I could still live at the school even more legally I want and I wouldn't have to graduate until I was 22 but I could legally live here I can legally choose where to live when I turn 18 are we no longer a minor and that would make me happy.

I met with my friends ready for my party at the cottage. I invited Maleeka, who was in a younger dorm to visit and my other friends in the cottage too, there were many others there Laura, who became my enemy was also there she had no choice she came my enemy as soon as I broke up with the boyfriend she wanted me to have. She was just forced to be there. She even fled in my face and left Timmy's grave as her boyfriend now I didn't care. I said you can keep him. Oh, are you trying to hit on him again? Do you want me to set you up again with him she asked do you Lakin No I said I don't want you to set me up I said.

I'm fine with being single I said I don't need a boyfriend You couldn't stop crying at the age of 14 saying I want a boyfriend I want a boyfriend everyone has one but me so I gave you mine and now you're not grateful how could I? I said maybe you shouldn't be at my birthday, I don't have a choice to be at your birthday. She spat. I don't have a choice

I don't have a choice in the matter she said, spinning at my feet.

Now behave yourselves the house parents said I can't help, but that the girl ain't grateful for what I gave her. Laura said I don't care I said.

The whole school was gonna celebrate my birthday. It was a big event. It's gonna be a dance and a big dinner in the cafeteria. I felt like school royalty at the moment like a princess. They even got me a nice dress to wear a fancy one.

As a harmless thing, a few guys asked to dance with me at the dance another friend of mine Josh Keener asked to dance with me too. I said OK and even Devin chose to dance with me too. And I asked Malik if it was OK if he could it's OK Lika said it's not like he wants to date you I nodded. I knew that too.

I shook her hand and said OK and I shook Devin's hand too now that I had people to hang out with at the dance then I saw him come up to me. Hello, he said what are you doing? I asked are you trying to embarrass me we're no longer a couple I said I wanna have a third-day surprise with you he said what kind I want to sleep with you. No, we're not married I said, and you made your choice you made it for me. You dumped me he said, and now you're gonna dance with other boys I'm not your girlfriend. I said so I can dance with whomever I'd like. .

Besides, I hate you I said I have a surprise. He said I'm going to ask you a question at the dance tonight. You better be prompt to wanting me why I asked because he waited. It's a big surprise too.

And I've already asked your father's permission. I have no father I said.

Now is that how you speak to me I don't care how I speak to you I said I want you to leave me alone fine but I will mess with you at the dance tonight or tomorrow night which is your birthday he said, licking his lips wondering when it will be time for him to kiss me at the birthday party.

Don't forget, I'm beloved here. He said I can get the school to cheer for whatever I want them to cheer for you. Think you can avoid me this Householder you have another thing coming.

Don't forget, I'm big in my Boy Scout troop, and I am the president of the student council you think you can get away with avoiding me.

Is that as he leaned down to try and kiss me and I smacked him away Laora said how dare you Laura I don't want him I said so why is he trying to hit on me? He's your boyfriend control him Laura's side he's my boyfriend but he wants you, but I don't want him back so just say I don't need to flirt with him and I'll be done with it. Don't worry you won't need to worry about that soon. She said I'll be moving in with him soon, she said my mother wants to get rid of me now that I'm 18 so she's letting me have my own life by moving in with him and his new family.

I don't care I said you should she said.

Why should I care? I said I don't.

Somebody is jealous I'm not jealous. I said I care less about the boy the man whatever I don't like him I dumped him because he was getting in with my family and I didn't want to deal with it. Then he looked over and glared at me. I told you I'd get you back and you're gonna be mine and Laora's will be. Laura will be mine but you'll be mine too. I'm gonna teach you what it means to what it is to walk away from the faith he says You're not gonna get away with it. You think you're a little princess huh?

I see what you are. You're an ungrateful little brat. He says he doesn't appreciate anything she has. I appreciate everything I have. I said you didn't appreciate what you had. You had a loving family who cared about you and he threw it all away to live here at the school at prison forever, giving yourself a forever sentence here. Maybe I should become a prince of this place and you can become queen and I can become king and we can rule the school together if that's what you want to be if you wanna be such a little princess.

What are you talking about? I asked.

You're graduating next year, right? I was thinking about it, but I'll still be living here. I said good that's perfect. You could become the princess of prom this year and then queen next year he laughs. What about Laura Laura? Oh, she won't be anything. He said.

A few days later or one day later, I should say it was my 18th birthday. My friends in the dorm told me happy birthday. I was so happy but the birthday party wasn't until this evening.

Also, I can make a choice of what I want to do with my life I can graduate early. I will still be living here or staying another four years. I had to make it a very hard decision. Either way, after graduation I'll be living here I might go out to eat with my friends after graduation maybe but that was it pretty much.

My choice was to stay I didn't want to graduate at 18. I was gonna stay till I was 22 the longer I stayed the further I could get away from my ex and he couldn't pursue me anymore and I wouldn't be able to become king or queen or princess of prom because only a junior or a senior can become a king or a queen or Prince or a princess and I wouldn't be either one.

Not till my actual senior year, but I've had a feeling that I will be forced to graduate sooner which sucks. I did not want to graduate early. I had the choice, right?

I had to talk to the principal about this.

I asked him am I still graduating when I am he knows. Yes, you'll still graduate at 22. Don't worry you will not be forced to graduate early I promise.

You're protected by us I just simply nodded my head. The superintendent also agreed who was the principal when I first arrived here not so long ago. He also made sure that I wasn't gonna graduate for a long time. If I choose if I so wished.

But I wasn't completely guaranteed safe, not with him still here.

But I couldn't worry about my boyfriend's schemes right now or my ex-boyfriend's schemes. I should say because I had an 18th birthday party and the party room was decorated and it was huge. Everyone was there except their students and I was given gifts of all kinds and there was a big dance after the big feast I'd dance with all the guys except my ex and had a great time.

They also had the Halloween costume party dance at the same time as my birthday, which was fine too, and we all dressed in costumes dressed in princess costumes I made myself most of my clothes, not all of them, but a lot of them I made I did learn to make on my own I even did my friends costumes too.

We did it on my birthday because it was better than having it on actual Halloween that year Which was my other best friend's birthday we decided to celebrate his birthday too. He'll be turning 18 soon enough When I was so happy.

The cake was beautiful then something embarrassing happened my ex said he got it made me embarrassed that he said he drove me to the stage area and then now on his knee inside Miss Householder, will you marry me? I looked at him. Why are you asking me this we haven't been dating for years and now you're asking me to marry you how embarrassing I wouldn't marry you if you were the last man on earth, even if you were the last man on earth I'd let all of our species die out before I have a chance.

I broke the rules of of the family to come to this party to ask you to marry me he said what would your parents think if I came back and told him that you refused?

You can just tell them I said because I did. I refused you now. Do not ask me again.

Why are you laughing because I know you won't refuse me, princess of the school he said, reaching and kissing me on the lips. No one cheered at this because I knew about my break up was public and people loved me here. This was a party for people who liked me not for the people who didn't like me my friend said that's enough.

If she rejects me, he says that she'll never find anyone else. She will never love again have a boyfriend or fall in love or have a marriage. I will make sure of that. He said as he glared at me remember princess you will never fall in love again.

That's right I heard my ex say the school cannot be your family because the school cannot be anyone's family now. Stop fooling around and come here and let me put this ring on you. I was blue though Darkness fell into the school as my parents came in my old parents. I should say cheering at my 18th birthday. You are now 18 daughter. You will now wed you will now get engaged and get married and graduate in full and stop this foolishness.

We let you have all this freedom for a short time now it's time to return. I shook my head. No, I'm a legal adult now. I said that means I can choose what I want. You don't get to choose. You get to come home now that you've had your years of rebellion, they said, taking my rest I thought back no you ungrateful brat. They said you are so ungrateful. Why do you insist on being so ungrateful?

Why do you insist that I'm been grateful I asked Because I wouldn't do what you tell me I laughed at them How dare you laugh at us, daughter daughter I'm not your daughter I said.

We gave birth to you and now you're being ungrateful and unsatisfied.

Me ungrateful yeah right.

Are you calling me ungrateful I said you're the one who disowned me and now I have to live here because you don't want me. You're the one who chose to leave our lifestyle you're the ungrateful one my ex-mother said and now that you're 18 you have to feel what we promised. I didn't promise anything but your boyfriend did mother said or my ex-mother said he promised to marry you once he turned 18 and we promised it to happen so you will marry him at 18 and you will graduate from school and become a mother no cause I didn't agree to this arrangement. It doesn't matter if you agreed or not you arranged to marry him and you will.

And you'll produce a female air no, I said I will not.

Let's take this proposed proposal back from the top. I heard my ex-mother say rehearsing it like it was some show. I had to be forced to say yes, even though I didn't want to, but I didn't mean I couldn't get married at 18 right away. I can get out of this somehow fine my ex-mother said you can stay in school until you graduate then you don't have to marry right after your graduation.

I was forced to say yes to the engagement. Everyone was shocked, even though I didn't want to get engaged. My friends knew I wasn't really into it. My ex said I'm engaged. No one shared only a few people klatch like Laura, but no one cheered, except for my parents and him. I shivered at the thought of being married to this monster and producing his children no Don't worry my friends and teacher said we have a big surprise for you for after you graduate in a few years they whispered they would come with me. I went with them with my other friends for another trip my parents and my new husband to be trail behind me I was gonna move into one of the cottage fives apartment not because I was graduating, but because I needed a place to stay besides my dorm room.

I was hoping that we hope this was gonna be a graduation gift, but the superintendent said as he opened the door for me a mansion and not just any mansion. It was renovated and everything for me. It was the superintendent's house, but I'm not the superintendent no this will be your new home and it will not be the superintendent's house anymore. This will be your home.

When can I move in after you graduate in a couple of two or 34 years but you can start moving things in and making it Homie Mr. Odom suggested the principal also agreed and so did everyone else my friends said they would help me decorate and move in slowly over years this place will become a home for me.

But for a temporary time, while I'm in school, I can live inside a cottage with five apartments.

After I graduated school, my ex came up to me. How dare you get a full beautiful apartment just for you you get your cottage fries apartment but then you'll get this big place all by yourself. He said why don't I move in with you, you can graduate now and move in and we can get married no and no for moving into my new home. I said this will be my new home after I graduate in a few years you're graduating this year. He says your parents and I have agreed you have been fooling around too long. It's time to settle with me. He said trying to kiss me and I backed away. No, I'm not settling with you. He came up and forcibly kissed me in front of everyone. I did not return the kiss and a passionate hunger like he was hoping.

Everyone was shocked some cheered that I pulled away my friend or ex-friend came up and was like why did you do that? Why didn't you return his kiss because I didn't want it I said I don't feel it. I said now leave me alone.

I went back and cleaned my mouth out from kissing him gross I thought one day off on a love that will love me, but this is not it.

Why don't we get married now and I can move in with you and we can live in this place together he said we don't have to wait till your graduation we can live together being in school now and his home will be mine. It'll be ours. He said, let me move in with you, darling. I'll bring in all the things we need to make a gorgeous home. You need stuff for God the mother, I said yes you need to get out of this Christian stuff and come back home to your roots. I can't believe you pulled away from the face. You don't wanna go to heaven I do, but I'm going to heaven. I have faith in Jesus I said now leave me alone.

I'll find a nice church for us to go to. He said the teacher is what we believe in all that good things.

I left that face for a reason I said I'm not returning not ever. I'm not returning and you can't make me. I will he said, and I am moving in with you shoved across my face. You're not moving in with me. Maybe I should move out here to be away from you. I know where you live. He said what's the point if I live out here, I won't have to worry about your crap. When can I move in? I asked the superintendent anytime even if you don't graduate you can move in when you're 18. OK, I'll move in and this will be my home now. Don't put me in the apartment in the cottage. You might need it for seniors agreed he said all right you can get your things and move in.

And that's what I did after my birthday I decided to pack everything and move into the superintendent's house. It became my new home. Everything I owned in the dorm was brought in. I didn't have to worry about being disturbed on weekends. The superintendent said that the house parents would come to check on me here, but I wouldn't have to stay in the dorms. I can go to school every day like a day student and not go home on Friday since I don't have a place to go to anyway the house parents will help me go shopping to get food and things so I can cook my meals and if I can't, they'll cook the meals for me, I smiled knowing that this would be my future.

But you still need to come to eat meals with your dorm only on weekends you will fix meals here you'll eat breakfast dinner in the cafeteria and lunch in the cafeteria. OK, I didn't wanna pass up not having three free meals three free meals a day except on weekends Then I disappeared as I moved in everything I owned no more roommates no more having a deal with roommates no more worrying about putting my things away. Just because people were coming to stay I could buy more things to make this place even more home here. They even got me a keyboard and a piano, so I can continue practicing my keyboard and piano. Anything I wanted I was given

My ex-family said this is only temporary darling. You will not live here or you wanna think I'm not. I said I will live here I said.

You won't live here alone let your boyfriend move in with you. He's not my boyfriend. I said he's my ex. And no, he ain't living here.

Now, can you just leave me alone?

Fine, they said, but don't think this is over. We'll keep pursuing you and I will keep saying no I said as I turned them away and threw the mail at the school and showed my ex away from my new home I'll have to put a new no trespassing sign I thought as I finished up ...moving in my things.

After I was done it was late and I needed to get some sleep because school was tomorrow and dealing with my ex-family and my ex-boyfriend was a tiring job after I was settled in I told everyone I was going to bed now thanks for the birthday party and I went to bed in my new home away from everyone. It was nice. I didn't need a house parent to watch me. I was 18 after all, and I lived in the superintendent's house by myself even though I was a student I was 18 after all, and I was able to take care of myself.

I went to sleep, knowing the long day caught up with me dreaming of a life where my ex-family, my ex-boyfriend, and my ex-friend would never bother me again.

I closed my eyes and went to sleep dreaming of a better tomorrow hopefully I won't have to graduate next year. I can stay for four years. That's what I'm hoping for.
