Just a quick note, from now on the Bladewolf is going to be wearing the sleeveless top and wrestling tights like he did earlier in the story and in the last two instalments of the series. I actually prefer that look compared to anything else since it does suit the Bladewolf.
Disclaimer: I do not own WWE. I only own the OC George Edwards/The Bladewolf.
SmackDown: 21/9/2000
SmackDown was live at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With just three days left until Unforgiven, nearly every World Wrestling Federation Superstar surrounded the ring as SmackDown kicked off. Commissioner Mick Foley stood in the middle of the ring, saying he wanted to conduct his own investigation into the mystery of who ran over Stone Cold Steve Austin at last year's Survivor Series. The commish said he had two predictions as to who had committed the crime.
His first prediction was The Rock, who Foley suggested was sick and tired of sharing the spotlight with the Rattlesnake. The Rock said once again that he was not the culprit, and even reiterated that response in Swedish and Chinese!
Foley's next prediction was that Triple H was the culprit. The Game admitted that he had been setting Austin up for an attack in the parking lot, but that he would have never run him down with a car. Triple H said that since women make the worst drivers, maybe Foley should question the superstar who comes closest to being a woman – Kurt Angle.
Kurt said that the notion that he was the culprit was ridiculous, even if he did find Stone Cold to be a poor role model for children. Angle said that maybe Essa Rios was guilty, since you always have to watch out for the quiet superstars. Essa entered the ring and declared his innocence in Spanish! Kurt then suggested that maybe Triple H and DX were the guilty party.
"You know, there's one person that should be strongly considered." Triple H said, getting everyone's attention. "There's one guy that i know has enough bad blood with Austin to want to take him out in any way. One man who knows Austin was his biggest obstacle. And that man... is the Bladewolf!"
The crowd reacted in shock at the accusation as everyone looked to the Bladewolf at ringside. He was clad in black leather pants (Like Baron Corbin's during his Lone Wolf gimmick in 2016), with a black wolf with hellfire eyes on both sides. He also wore a sleeveless top (Again, same as Baron Corbin's in 2016) with the skull of a wolf on the chest, the skull having hellfire eyes.
the Bladewolf looked at Trish and shook his head before he got onto the apron and entered the ring, grabbing the microphone from Foley while his eyes were on Triple H.
"I had nothing to do with what happened to Austin at least year's Survivor Series." He said calmly, brushing his hair out of his face. "In case you forgot, I wasn't at Survivor Series. I was at home dealing with an injury that was caused by you. Now Austin and I, we don't see eye to eye. We're not friends and never will be, but that doesn't mean I'm going to run him down with a car. I have too much respect for Austin to do something. However, i can't say the same for you since you were pretty adamant in crippling Austin at that time."
X-Pac denied the allegation but said that Chris Jericho was probably guilty, since Y2J had just come into the Federation and was still looking for his niche at the time. Jericho said no way, but said that maybe the driver was the bottom-feeding trashbag ho herself – Stephanie McMahon-Helmlsey!
Stephanie was shocked at the allegation, but reminded Mick that she was on the scene at the time of the attack with Vince, Shane and Test. She then said that the driver would have to be someone without a conscience – and suggested that it was the Undertaker, the man who abducted her!
The American Bad Ass said it was true – not that he had run down Austin, but that Stephanie was a sleazy tramp! Kurt Angle then attacked the Undertaker, setting off a chain reaction of ass-kicking which cleared the ring!
Scotty 2 Hotty challenged Val Venis in the first match of the night. Steven Richards wasn't taking any chances, bringing the Right to Censor to ringside. Steven soon got involved in the match and was almost on the receiving end of a Worm. But Val saved him and hooked up Scotty in a fisherman's suplex for the win.
In the McMahon/Helmsley locker room, Stephanie and Triple H talked about what happened on Monday night. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, and a messenger delivered a bouquet of flowers to Stephanie! The flowers were from Kurt Angle – which led Triple H to say that the florist must have been out of pansies!
The Hardy Boyz, accompanied by Lita, headed to the ring to discuss their cage match for the Tag Team Championship against Edge & Christian at Unforgiven. But a couple of sentences in, Edge & Christian appeared on the OvalTron dressed as Siskel and Ebert! Edge & Christian then played old footage from 1990 of the much younger Matt and Jeff Hardy dressed as wrestlers and cutting promos on each other! The Tag Team Champions mocked their adversaries until Matt and Jeff could take no more. The Hardys and Lita ran backstage to look for Edge & Christian, but Edge & Christian found them first, bashing them with chairs! Said Christian, "When are you going to learn that you can't beat us?"
With the 24-7 rules back in full effect for the Hardcore Championship, Steve Blackman put his title on the line against former Head Cheese cohort Al Snow. Al, the European Champion, was decked out in Spanish regalia and attacked Blackman with a pinata before the match began. During the match, numerous superstars ran to the ring to try and take Blackman's title – Funaki, Test, Crash and Perry Saturn among them. Finally, Blackman pinned Funaki to retain his championship.
In a statement from his home in Texas, Stone Cold Steve Austin admitted that he was glad that no one had stepped forward to confess to hitting him, since now he could roll into Unforgiven to conduct his own investigation. The Rattlesnake said that everyone was a suspect and that they were all guilty until proven innocent.
Shockingly, the familiar music of "No Chance in Hell" echoed through the arena, and Shane McMahon made his return! The Boy Wonder said that as he convalesced in a hospital alone after SummerSlam, he used Stone Cold as his inspiration for coming back. After all, he said, if Austin could come back from such a major injury, then surely Shane could come back from this minor setback. To thank the Rattlesnake for the inspiration, Shane said he would help Austin find his attacker at Unforgiven. And just for the record, the King of Sting pointed out that he was first on the scene when Austin was hit, and therefore couldn't be considered a suspect himself. Shane then proclaimed that he actually knew who had hit Austin, and that he would tell him at Unforgiven!
Stephanie was watching her brother's speech in the back when Triple H sat beside her. The Game asked if she had seen Shane's promo, and she said yes, and that Shane probably did know who hit Austin. Triple H was actually talking about the part where Shane said he had been in the hospital alone – after all, didn't Stephanie say that she was there with him, as opposed to spending the night with Kurt Angle? Stephanie said that Shane was probably just remembering incorrectly, since he was seriously injured from falling almost 50 feet. Stephanie then questioned whether her husband trusted her, and then she walked out of the locker room.
Next up, Tazz and X-Pac met Jerry Lawler and Chris Jericho. The match ended in a disqualification when Tazz choked out Lawler with a leather strap. After the match, Lawler was so out of it that Jim Ross came out to help Michael Cole with the play-by-play for the rest of the show.
In Latino Heat's locker room, Chyna was irate at Eddie Guerrero for feigning sickness on Monday night and subjecting her to a Samoan drop and a sit-down splash at the hands of Rikishi. Eddie said he figured that Rikishi wouldn't do such things to her, since she was friends with Rikishi. Chyna told Eddie she was sick of his lies and that he wasn't the same person she fell in love with. She then walked out of the locker room in tears.
Eddie then headed to the ring carrying a bouquet of roses and asked his Mamacita to come out. The Intercontinental Champion apologized for his actions and told Chyna that he loved her more than anything. That brought out Rikishi, the man who will challenge Guerrero for the Intercontinental Title at Unforgiven. He told his friend Chyna that he didn't think Eddie was good for her, and then he showed her more footage of Eddie getting thrown out of the Playboy mansion, after again unsuccessfully trying to get back her pictures. Chyna was ready to walk out on Eddie again, but this time Guerrero couldn't take it. Eddie got down on one knee, and after a tearful speech professing his love and devotion to the Ninth Wonder of the World, Eddie asked Chyna to marry him. Though the crowd chanted "just say no," a teary-eyed Chyna said yes!
Outside interference was the name of the game when the Acolytes took on the Right to Censor. Too Cool, the Dudleys, Val Venis and Steven Richards all wound up involved. The match ended when Bradshaw pinned Bull Buchanan after the Clothesline from Hell – but the fun was just getting started. After the Dudleys, APA and Too Cool chased away the Right to Censor, Too Cool gave their yellow glasses to Faarooq and Bradshaw, and then the APA danced for the cheering fans in Milwaukee!
Next up was the main event. The Undertaker, the Rock and Triple H vs The Bladewolf, Kane and Kurt Angle.
In the arena, Kurt Angle's theme hits to boos from the crowd before Angle walks out to make his way down to the ring, the pyro going off behind him and Tony Chimel begins introductions.
"The following contest is a six-man Tag Team match scheduled for one-fall! In the ring, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 237 lbs, the 2000 King of the Ring... KURT ANGLE!"
Angle rolls into the ring and his theme soon dies down.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
Dead Silent plays to a mixed reaction as the lights go out, before a lone spotlight shines on a dark robe-clad Trish Stratus standing on the stage with her back to the camera. The Bladewolf, clad in a hooded, sleeveless vest with a glaring black wolf on the back, walks out and stands in front of her as Trish sheds the robe and walks in front, caressing his shoulder along the way as the song's lyrics begin.
"He is time. Famine. War. Pestilence you cannot endure."
In a seductive manner, Trish climbed onto the ring apron and began to mouth along with the next verse.
"The End is here. The End is here. Fall and pray." Here, Trish started to get more frantic as she entered the ring. "Fall and pray! Fall and pray!"
She dropped down as the Bladewolf came forward with a primal roar, the lights now flickering red frantically as the Demon Wolf stood in the middle of the ring while Trish danced around him to the repeating 'Fall and Pray!' parts of the song. Bladewolf then beat his chest to the drums in the song as Trish crawled between his legs and leaned against them, the song dying down after the drums and the lights slowly returning to normal.
Bladewolf removes his vest and hands it to someone at ringside, adjusting his right elbow pad afterwards.
The pyro explodes as Kane's theme plays, and the Big Red Machine makes his way down the ramp to the ring.
"And their tag team partner, he weighs in at 326 lbs... KANE!" Tony Chimel announced as Kane enters over the top rope where he stands in the center, raises his arms and throws them down to make fire explode from the turnbuckles.
Kane and the Bladewolf stare each other down as they remember last Monday night, when the Bladewolf Tombstoned Kane onto the ring bell.
The Undertaker's theme then plays to a pop from the crowd before the American Badass comes out on his motorcycle. "And their opponents! First, from Houston, Texas, weighing in at 330 lbs... THE UNDERTAKER!" Tony Chimel announced.
Undertaker drives down the ramp and circles the ring before parking his ride facing the stage. He gets into the ring and faces down the opposing team who stare back, especially the Bladewolf and Kane who don't take their eyes off their big brother.
Triple H's theme hits next and the Game makes his way out along with Stephanie McMahon. "And his partners. First, accompanied by Stephanie-McMahon Helmsley, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing in a 260 lbs... TRIPLE H!" Tony Chimel announced.
Triple H entered the ring after doing his water spit and faced down Kurt Angle who stayed back between the Bladewolf and Kane.
The Rock's theme then cut Triple H's off, and the fans were on their feet, roaring in excitement as the WWF Champion walks out and makes his way down to the ring.
"And their tag team partner, from Miami, Flordia, weighing 270 lbs, he is the World Wrestling Federation Champion... THE ROCK!" Tony Chimel announced.
The Bladewolf, Kane and the Undertaker are noticeably staring at the Rock as he gets on the apron, walks along it and goes to the turnbuckle to raise his WWF Championship. The Rock looks at the opposition and gets down from the corner, handing his title to someone at ringside as his theme dies down.
The referee then calls for the bell to begin the match.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Bladewolf speaks to Angle and Kane and they get out onto the ring apron while the Bladewolf stays inside the ring, starting the match off for his team. On the other side, the Rock and the Undertaker get out onto the ring apron, meaning Triple H will start off for his team. Bladewolf and Triple H stare each other down, neither man having forgotten the history between them as well as the battles they've had.
They came forward and locked up in a test of strength, trying to overpower the other or force the other down to their knee but it doesn't work but Triple H manages to push the Bladewolf back into the corner and hold him there, only for the Bladewolf to whirl them around in order to get Triple H in the corner, breaks their lockup and goes for a punch but Triple H ducks underneath it, getting the Bladewolf back into the corner, and lands the first punch with a hammering right hand to the forehead, followed by another, and then another before switching it up with a boot to the gut.
Triple H stomps a couple more times on the Bladewolf before pushing the referee back when he tried to break it up. Triple H turned back to the Bladewolf only to be met with a boot to the midsection, followed by a reverse elbow that made Triple H stagger backwards. The Bladewolf lands a couple of right hands to the forehead, getting Triple H on the ropes. He irish whips him but Triple H reverses it, sends the Bladewolf into the ropes. The Bladewolf ducks underneath a right hand from Triple H, rebounds off the ropes again... BUT COMES BACK INTO THE HIGH KNEE TO THE FACE!
The Bladewolf stumbles to his feet, leaning on the ropes, so triple H hits a rebound off the ropes and comes at the Bladewolf for a clothesline only for the Bladewolf to lift him up... AND DROP HIM ONTO THE ROPES HARD! Triple h bounces off and goes down to the mat!
The Bladewolf adjusts his right elbow pad briefly before he walks over and grips Triple H by the hair, bringing him over with the intent to tag in Kane... when Kurt Angle tags himself in. Angle comes in and tells the Bladewolf to get out while the Demon Wolf didn't look too happy about what Angle just did. The Bladewolf releases Triple H... AND THEN GRABS ANGLE BY THE THROAT!
Kane comes in and looks like he's about to speak some sense into his brother... BUT GRABS ANGLE BY THE THROAT INSTEAD! Together, the brothers lift Angle up... AND PLANT HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
Kane and the Bladewolf get out onto the ring apron, as Triple H and Kurt Angle are the legal men in the ring. Triple H recovers from the Bladewolf's assault and sees Angle in the ring. He walks over, picks the man up and rams his head into the top turnbuckle. Triple H lands a punch then goes for an Irish whip but Angle reverses, only for Triple H to pull him back in and send him into the corner. Angle staggers forward into a boot to the midsection and... TRIPLE H SETS UP FOR THE PEDIGREE!
But before Triple H can hit it, Angle grabs his legs and pulls them out from under Triple H, sending him onto his back. Triple H pulls his legs in and then pushes forward, sending Angle careening into the corner. Angle falls... RIGHT ONTO TRIPLE H'S GROIN HEAD-FIRST!
Triple H quickly shakes Angle off and steps back with a disturbed/disgusted look while Angle looked confused. Triple H shakes his head and tagged in the Undertaker to a pop from the crowd as Angle now looked terrified so he turns and tags in the Bladewolf.
Bladewolf shakes his head at Angle before he gets into the ring and faces his big brother.
The two brothers lockup in a test of strength but the Undertaker shoves his younger brother back into the corner and unloads with lefts and rights, but the Bladewolf was quick to cover up quickly. Undertaker breaks the Bladewolf's defence and then drives his elbow into the side of his head before Irish whipping him into the opposite corner hard making him stagger into the Undertaker who lists him up and hits a sidewalk slam, hooking the leg afterwards! ONE! TWO! THR-! The Bladewolf kicks out at two!
The Undertaker pulls his brother to his feet and then Irish whips him off the ropes. The Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes and comes running back into a big boot from the Undertaker, who follows it up with an elbow drop to the chest and covers him! ONE! TWO-! The Bladewolf kicks out once again!
Undertaker gets up, grabs the Bladewolf and twists on his left arm, making his brother yell out in pain as the American Badass goes into the corner and starts going to the top. The crowd are on their feet as they know what's coming next.
"Old School!" Undertaker shouted, confirming what everyone thought.
With cat-like agility, the Undertaker walks along the top rope, leaps off... AND LANDS OLD SCHOOL!
Undertaker lunges and strikes Kurt Angle, knocking him off the apron, then goes for Kane but Kane grabs the back of his head and... SNAPS HIM OFF THE TOP ROPE! Undertaker stumbles around and turns... INTO A SPEAR FROM THE BLADEWOLF! THE BLADEWOLF HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! THE UNDERTAKER KICKS OUT!
The Bladewolf pulls the Undertaker up and lands a few hammering right hands to the forehead, driving the Undertaker back, then lands a boot that pushes the Undertaker back into the ropes... AND HE GETS TIED UP IN THEM! The Undertaker is now defenceless! Bladewolf walks forward and starts pounding away on the Undertaker with lefts and rioghts, not stopping for even a second before he finishes with a hard right hand. Bladewolf then looks at Kane and gestures to Undertaker, to which Kane nods and holds his hand out so Bladewolf tags in his brother.
Kane comes in and continues where the Bladewolf left off, hammering away on the Undertaker's forehead. After scaring the referee back, kane goes towards his big brother but is met with a boot to the face instead as the Undertaker frees himself. But Kane recovers and floors the Undertaker with a clothesline. Pulling Undertaker back up, Kane Irish whips him into the ropes, the Undertaker rebounds and runs... AND HITS A TORNADO DDT ON KANE!
The Rock reaches out and the Undertaker makes the tag!
the crowd pop as the Rock comes in and goes to work on Kane with a fury of rights, backing the Big Red Machine onto the ropes. The Rock goes for an Irish whip but Kane reverses and then floors the Rock with a big boot when he comes back. Kane pulls the WWF Champion up and gets him into the corner where he starts to land big right hands, then scars the referee back before turning back to the Rock only to be met with an onslaught from the People's Champion, but Kane is quick to snuff that fire out with an uppercut, knocking the Rock back into the corner.
The Rock stumbles out, and Kane lands a blow to the side of the head then goes for an Irish whip off the ropes but the Rock reverses it and Kane comes running back... INTO A SPINEBUSTER!
Before the Rock can go for the People's Elbow, the Bladewolf comes in and clotheslines him before getting back out as Kane sits up and gets to his feet. The Rock stumbles to his and turns only to be scooped up by Kane and then... PLANTED WITH A RUNNING SLAM! Kane then walks over and tags in Kurt Angle.
Angle comes in, picks the Rock up and knocks him down with a punch, then stomps away on him before pulling him back up. Angle goes for another right but the Rock blocks it and retaliates with a right hand of his own, followed by a couple more before the Rock attempts an Irish whip only for Angle to try and reverse, then pull the Rock in to get him by the midsection, lift him up and hit a suplex. Angle then hooks the Rock's leg! ONE! TWO-! The Rock kicks out at two.
The Rock makes it to a knee as Angle begins laying punches to his head, trying to keep the WWF Champion down. The Rock makes it back to his feet, with a punch from Angle sending him staggering to the ropes. Angle lands another right hand, then lands several more as the Rock is on the ropes, then goes for an Irish whip but the Rock reverses, pulls Angle in and... HITS A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!
The Rock recovers and crawls over to make the tag to Triple H who rushes in and attacks Kurt Angle, the man he faces Sunday at Unforgiven.
Triple H sends Angle into the corner and starts stomping away at him as he lands kick after kick to the midsection, forcing Angle down into the corner and the kicks become hard stops to the chest. Triple H then pulls Angle up, goes for an Irish whip but Angle reverses and sends Triple H into the corner. Triple H bounces off, ducks a right from Angle and hits a neckbreaker on Angle! With a punch getting Angle n the ropes, Triple H goes for another Irish whip but Angle reverses, sends Triple H into the ropes, he rebounds off and... LANDS A FACEBUSTER TO ANGLE! Triple H covers him! ONE! TWO! THRE-! THE BLADEWOLF BREAKS IT UP!
The Demon Wolf lunges and clotheslines the Rock off the ring apron. the crowd booed him as he turned to leave, but the Rock rolled into the ring and whips him around to unleash an assault of punches with a big right sending the Bladewolf over the top rope and down to the floor, with the Rock following after him. the Rock pulls the Bladewolf up and rams his head off the steel steps, the brings him over to the announce table and attempts the same but the Bladewolf drives his elbow into the Rock's midsection.
Back in the ring, Triple H kicks Angle in the stomach, sets him up and... NAILS THE PEDIGREE! triple H gets to his feet and turns around... INTO A GOOZLE BY KANE! Kane lifts Triple H up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
The Undertaker comes in and attacks his brother with lefts and rights before clotheslining him over the top rope and out of the ring, where the Bladewolf is taking it to the Rock as they start fighting up the ramp. Kane follows and aids his brother against the WWF Champion. The Undertaker comes to the Rock's aid and fights off his brothers. Referees come out and try to break the fighting up but the men are still going at it.
The Bladewolf and Kane go backstage with Trish Stratus while the Undertaker makes his way back to the ring, leaving the Rock on the stage. However, the Undertaker gets on his motorcycle and drives up, nearly running the Rock over had he not moved out of the way in time. The Rock gets to his feet and storms after the American Badass.
Back in the ring, Triple H would go on to beat Kurt Angle after a roll-up that came after Angle accidentally knocked Stephanie off the ring apron.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
And that's it for this chapter. Unforgiven is next.
Yeah, that look that I described the Bladewolf in is gonna be his permanent attire for a while. I think the sleeveless attire similar to Undertaker's in 1999 suits him, but this version of his attire is more based off Baron Corbin's in 2016.
