Northern Carnage Wrestling Presents:

Fight Night I

August 9, 2024 – NCW Arena – Johnstown, PA

*Meet Chris' Wrecking Crew*

For just the second time in their storied rivalry, Christopher House had bested Crash Bandicoot. But while Chris celebrated a world title victory, the rest of NCW questioned his strategy. He had seemingly aligned with a group of unknowns that had targeted Crash and feigned an attack on Chris himself. But was it necessary? Nobody has ever denied Chris' ability to discover untold levels of carnage to leverage a win, but the need of reinforcement was something Chris has long averted since separating his career from the rest of his family. NCW Faithful wanted answers, and they were going to get them at the opening of Fight Night.

Chris makes his entrance into the NCW Arena but is not alone. In fact, he's not the first man to pop out of the curtain but rather he's guarded front and back by those brutes who aided him at Resurrection. They mask Chris' movements that the champion is forced to hoist the belt high in both hands to remind the crowd who's now in charge of the land of carnage. He is also flanked by that brown haired bruiser who laid out Coco Bandicoot in the final moments of Resurrection's pay-per-view. Together, this quarter of destruction stands at attention in the squared circle, with the Innovator of Carnage holding a microphone.

"CUT THE F*ING MUSIC!"

"The Land Of Carnage Has Been Resurrected! But to ensure its heart beats perpetually, it needs a blood transfusion. Now I have seen many fresh faces in the locker room, but only a handful got the look that they can go to the limits….what limits would that be measured by?...Well, look no further than yours truly. Is There A Man In This Company's History Who Has Bleed More Buckets Just To Prove Whose Is The Toughest Of Them All? If you don't believe me, look at what's once more around my waist."

"Now I'm no fool, I know the style of wrestling I dominate in will take its toll quicker than most. There will come a day when I'm no longer in this ring…. when none of you are in attendance….but I don't want an empty arena. And I sure as hell don't want this ring to collect dust. So to ensure the future of Northern Carnage Wrestling, I bring to you, my Wrecking Crew!"

"…At a combined weight of SIX HUNDRED POUNDS….hailing from DETROIT MICHIGAN….Victor Flanagan & Mason Hunt!"

"I found Victor in the bowels of the Motor City, fighting to earn money & respect, something in short supply in the rust belt of this country today. The man knows only the way of carnage to survive! Then you have Mason here, who has no qualms being the man with the dirty job, doing what must be done for the greater good. Be it the safety of himself…or the safety of this business."

"And less I forget Miss Alexis Carter. She's been tearing up the Great Lakes indie scene like a Tiger and is eager to sink her fangs into one of the multiverse's most storied women's championship, whose home is right here in NCW! In fact….that may happen before anyone suspects it, for the current champion is so desperate to make amends with the past she may lose her future in tonight's open challenge….speaking of title implications. We got Tag Team gold on the horizon, DXP has a whole tournament laid out a whole tournament that starts tonight, featuring Victor & Mason-…"

Chris' monologue is interrupted by "Similar Creatures" by Peroxwhy?Gen. Emerging from the curtain is not quite who everyone was expecting, but nevertheless gets a cheer from the crowd. It's Coco Bandicoot, though her brother is nowhere in sight.

"Let's get to the trtuh. What happened at Resurrection was not securing the future of NCW. It was the byproduct of someone who needed to manipulate his environment to guarantee the impossible. Beating my brother." Coco declares.

"No-no-no, you're already way off on your facts. I have beaten Crash before. WrestleWars II! Barbed Wire Massacre!" Chris boasts.

"Oh, you're right about that, but the numbers don't lie. Before Resurrection, your single record against Crash was only 1 win, four losses. The odds were never too good for you. Even in a Three Stages of Hell bout, hailed right here five years ago. You got a fall, but Crash won the war…. you even quit in the ring to him that night. And I think we all believed you two had buried the hatchet on it….I know Crash believed it. You gained a huge amount of respect from Crash and well as the whole of Johnstown that night. You put yourself as equal…and….quite possibility above Crash as being the standard bearer for this place after it shut down…..but we were all fools to believe you had changed, that you had evolved….but after the stunt you and your 'wrecking crew' pulled only show you've regressed….you May be world champion, but I question how long that'll last…..You will always fear Crash and it will undo this reign just like the last one…..and the fact Crash isn't next to me and could be anywhere scares you to death, don't it?"

Chris closes the rank between Victor & Mason at that thought. But its not Chris with the comeback, rather Alexis has snatched the microphone and takes a step up on the bottom rope.

"Lets run those numbers back, hon. Right now there are four of us and only one of you. Even if Crash were here…and after what my boooooooys did to him, I very much doubt it, that still 4 against 2. But if you don't believe the truth the Innovator of Carnage is spitting about us, why don't you come down here and you go one v one against me!" Alexis challenges.

"Gladly." Coco accepts and heads for the ring.

Alexis Carter vs. Coco Bandicoot

Alexis' aspirations or her debut match being for the world title have been dashed by Coco's presence. But she's still starting to make her initial splash facing off with an NCW legend. But where her match against Korra had been a clean wrestling affair, Coco was far more interested in exacting revenge for the Wrecking Crew's multiple assaults on her brother. However, Alexis quickly demonstrates that she is quite the striker in her own right. Both women exchange violent palms that border on closing into fists, with each receipt growing more powerful. Alexis wins in fist-o-cuffs and takes down Coco with a hammerlock suplex, but Coco manages to break through the bridge. Alexis' efforts to suplex again are thwarted, instead whipping Alexis into the corner. A legsweep puts Alexis down, but she gets out of the ring to avert a go for a standing moonsault. Coco's not going to take the bait for a suicide dive, instead taking a breathing in one of the corners and motioning Alexis back in the ring. A countdown would damage her incoming momentum, so Alexis is forced to scurry back in the ring. But Coco can outmaneuver her and drop the back of her head on the mat with an Inverted DDT. She tries to capitalize with a springboard moonsault, but Alexis manages to kick out of the pin.

Efforts to but Alexis down with the Wumpa Twist are foiled, with Alexis transitioning out and battering Coco's collarbone with a stiff lariat. She applies a crossface chicken wing, but Coco manages to move waist and legs enough to keep Alexis from locking in scissors. With her free foot, she's able to get a foot on the rope and force a ropebreak. Efforts to try for a leg-focused submission are dashed with boot soles to the face. Coco manages to pull herself under the rope and scale the top turnbuckle. She successfully hits the IQ Drop (Diving Tornado DDT). She's tries to ride the momentum to a Bandi-Elbow (Frog Splash into Elbow Drop), but once more Alexis rolls herself to the outside. This time Coco isn't taking the break lightly, instead moonsaulting off the top and upon Alexis on the outside! Coco hurries to roll Alexis back in the ring and try once more for the Bandi-Elbow…. but upon impact easts the knees of Alexis!

Coco had retreated to the corner, but Alexis wasn't going to let the veteran rest up. A rapid series of stomps pummel Coco's face and chest. Once more she goes for the legs and tries to tie Coco up into a figure four leg lock. But Coco manages to prevent her leg from being fully knotted with her hand. Both women engage in fist-o-cuffs once more. Alexis forgoes the submission, both women back on their feet with powerful fists. But throwing a knee strike in the mix stuns Coco. She reels back into the ropes, trying to whip up some momentum on the rebound but Alexis manages to evade. She snatches hold of Coco's arm and connects with what she calls the Joe Louis (short-arm lariat transitioned into a right-handed knockout punch). She presses both hands down on Coco's shoulders and gains a powerful victory over Coco Bandicoot via pinfall!

Heartthrobs vs. The Shadow Syndicate – Quarter Finals to crown NCW Men's World Tag Team Championship

Next match on the card is the first in the tournament set to crown the first Men's World Tag Team Champions in the resurrection era. Visually, it's a simple clash between light and darkness. The Heartthrobs have all the handsome looks and flashy attire, the Shadow Syndicate appear like hired security for the grimmest establishment under a bypass. Although Jamie Saunders & Finlay Hunter wow the crowd with their high-flying abilities as the Heartthrobs, it's the Syndicate who were able to regularly ground them. The Syndicate found a way to tap into the NCW Faithful's violent desires, pummeling Jamie with the Shadow Strike (Double sky lift into Sit-Out Scoop Slam Piledriver) to gain the win.

*The Fire Ferrets Reunite….Right?*

The Tag Team Title Tournament was in full swing. Perhaps the biggest name on the bracket were the Fire Ferrets. Bolin & Mako dominated the tag team division in NCW's NWA days and have reunited now and again. But judging by Mako's disposition as he approached his brother somewhere in the bowels of the NCW Arena, this reunion was unexpected.

"Bolin…what is this?" Mako asked, presumably showing the Whole Damn Deal a copy of the tournament bracket.

"oooh, looks like we got our hands full with Sleet & Dingo in Asbury Park." Bolin replies, oblivious to Mako's distress.

"No-no-no, when did we say we were reforming?" Mako questioned.

"Well…when did we ever break apart?" Bolin sheepishly asks.

"Look….I always will have your back, bro, but…You are aware I have my own aspirations. I want to finally gun for the world title."

"Well…you are! With me! We're both going to be world champions when we tear through this tournament, just like old times!" Bolin declares with confidence.

"…well….what the hell." Mako conceded

"You not going to regret this, Mako!" Bolin exclaims, hugging his brother.

"But if this doesn't work out…. I have other things to work on, remember that." Mako reminds Bolin.

Benjamin Botes vs. Mike Attitude

Botes had made a quick impact upon the NCW Faithful. In his debut matches, he barreled into the semi-finals for the world championship. While Crash eeked out the victory, it truthfully appeared the outcome was decided by a coin toss. Just a few weeks later, Botes was back in Johnstown and looking to remind everyone how dangerous he was in the ring. His opponent, Mike Attitude, was fit but scrawny. He stood no chance against the Hyena of Johannesburg. Attitude became a canvas for Botes to paint an illustration of what the future of NCW may look like: Keylock armdrags, Straightjacket Neckbreakers & Savage Impacts. Topped off with the criss-crossed double armtrap he calls the Hyena's Den, Botes makes quick work of Attitude, placates the crowd's desire to carnage, and sends chills down the backs of many members of the locker room.

The Silver Wrestling School Meets The Hollywood Spotlight*

Macy Tarr was not having it easy in a backstage interview. It appears to have been pre-taped for Joey Styles was the one hosting the segment in classic NCW fashion of simply in front of a black banner emblazoned with the blue company logo. It was clear the questions were clashing with what the recipient was trying to get over.

"Now Macy, the big story for you coming out of Resurrection was why you pulled your punches against your sister in the championship tournament. Now she hasn't been too kind to you in the ring as history as shown, so why go soft on her?"

Fortunately, the silver-haired woman of the minute was not without support. She was flanked by Kaylie Kassiss and a redhead who has yet to be seen on television til now.

"Joey, there was no way of me knowing for certain that's how the chips were going to fall. I gave it my all. But I'm not as upset as one would think. Kaylie here had her first proper NCW match and shortly you'll be seeing another student of mine, Miss Amelia Bennett, in the ring."

"Well, congrats on debuting in the land of carnage, Miss Kassiss…but you did not get past the first round."

"Wow…you're observance is extraordinary." Kaylie muttered.

"What I'm really getting at is, I can see all three of you are dressed like a unit with the matching track suits. But at least for you and Macy, you've never been able to stick the landing in any company. The most you'll find on the internet is the odd criticism that Macy is a bad teacher. I'd like to know if there's a strategy to rebound from Resurrection to silence those critics. Because I don't want to be one of them." Joey explains.

"Why Waste Your Breath On Them?" A female voice is heard asking off camera.

In walks Erin Parry, the Silver Screen Siren, dressed in a tan high-end trench coat. But she was not alone, being accompanied by someone of similar stature, but hair in a Rachael cut and eyes concealed by deep purple shades.

"Why would anyone care about the inner machinations of failing when we could be educating the Section 8 dwellers watching on how to win?" Erin asks both Joey & the trio that make up the Silver Wrestling School.

"You don't got room to talk, miss plastic. You got you're a* handed to you by Korra." Kaylie curtly responds

"Yes, your right. I'm the only one here who was worthy of being in a ring with a champion. But trust me, it won't be long before I'm back in contention for the championship. Hell…maybe I'll even answer her open challenge tonight. I'm happy to take valuable things out of reckless hands like hers." Erin suggests.

"You know you only got into the next round from pulling on her trunks." Macy reminds. "We call that in my book cheating."

"Well in my book, we call that ingenuity!" Erin declares.

"And I'm copying everyone's notes so I don't get screwed over twice. So let's see if your strategies are foolproof." Kaylie challenges.

"Why would I do the same thing again? I'm not insane. Nor am I letting your dirty hands grapple me again…..but my fast friend Mercedes over here is eager to get on the scoreboard." Erin suggests.

"I'll put her on the board, alright, 0-1." Kaylie proclaims.

The Wrecking Crew vs. Rookie Retribution – Quarter Finals to crown NCW Men's World Tag Team Championship

The Rookie Retribution are back! The greatest trio of upstarts to enter the Fiction Wrestling Multiverse! Tim Tee, Big Ben and their charismatic leader Steven Williams….okay, so they were really a parody act from a decade ago when the Rookie Retribution had a vice over multiple companies. But hey, that's long enough for them to be official a nostalgia act, right? And Williams and his friends are taking full advantage of it. While they got the crowd on their side, the fun evacuates the NCW Arean at the sound of the bell. This is not just the return of the Rookie Retribution, but the debut of Christopher House's NEWEST faction, the Wrecking Crew. Victor Flanagan snatches up Tim Tee moments after the bell rings and slams him upon the mat with a high angled belly-to-back suplex! From there, the parody trio were wrecked. Victor isolated Tim and stumped mudholes in him, before bringing Mason online. The Gunpowder Powerbomb (Kneeling Spin-Out Powerbomb) is devastating, its effects exasperated by a Artmtrap Dragon Sleeper! Big Ben runs in to rescue his friend. He manages to break up the submission but is pummeled by Victor. Both members of the Wrecking Crew gang up on Ben, Mason's fists and Victor's stomps tearing him apart. Tim Tee is barely able to get to his feet and aid his partner. But trying to grab one of the Wrecking Crew was like poking a bear. Both beasts clothesline Tim so hard his body nearly completes a revolution before plopping in a pile. Mason hits him with the Gun Turret (Cradle Breaker) for the dominant victory!

The Wrecking Crew were unfinished in making a statement out of the Rookie Retribution. Mason & Victor flapjack Big Ben's jaw off the mat. Victor attempts to position Ben for some kind of over-the-shoulder piledriver but is stopped by Steven Williams. Steven is frantic about saving his friends but will pay for interrupting the Wrecking Crew at work. He's beaten down by both beasts and finds himself on the arena floor. Mason shot Steven full of metaphorical holes with his kicks to the gut. All of this led to Victor violently throwing Steven spine first into the ring apron with a gutwrench suplex. To add insult to injury, the Wrecking Crew tore apart Steven's Rookie Retribution shirt, with Mason dropping the cotton strands over Steven's corpse like demented confetti.

NCW Women's World Championship Open Challenge

Since winning her third NCW world championship at Resurrection (sixth overall), many questioned who would answer Korra's open challenge. The Championship was in the main event of this debut of NCW Fight Night. While that is what they got, it was a mega hitter like one may have expected. "I Don't Speak Human" by Omnia blasted into the NCW Arena, ushering in the return of the Princess from the Valley of the Wind. Nausicaa had been on quite the journey in the FWM. When NCW initially closed its doors, she was built up by alumni and fans into being the Chief Operating Officer being a spiritual successor, Heart & Soul Wrestling. That company had its fair share of highs and lows, and nobody weather them more harshly than Nausicaa herself. But now she was free of the shackles of administration and for the first time in a very long time was free to do what she wanted in a squared circle. And her first free move, taking a shot at the top prize a woman could gain in the Land of Carnage.

Its not surprising that someone from a land associated with wind would be hard to keep on her feet. While Korra could grapple Nausicaa all day, Nausicaa had her ways of getting free. At one point, she tried to break out of a german suplex and tried for a clothesline. Korra ducked, but Nausicaa kept running for the turnbuckle. A moonsault brought Korra down to the mat. Nausicaa kept up the momentum, jumping to the opposite corner to hit a second moonsault, this time of the split legged variation. Not adequate to put the champion down, but enough to wow the Johnstown crowd.

We also got to see a battle of the northern lights suplexes in this match. Nausicaa tried to go for her often-fancy looking bridge but Korra managed to kick out. A short while later, Korra batted away a springboard dropkick. She too hit a northern lights suplex, though her foot slip trying briefly and she could not get the bridge for the pin perfectly applied. You bet she got called out by the crowd for it. Nausicaa managed to kick out, but Korra was still hung up on the subject. She kept the hands locked, this time going for a simpler german suplex. That too did not get the win at this moment.

Nausicaa caught the Water Whip near the close of the match. She pulled Korra down to the mat, transferring her grasp from the caught leg to entrapping the arm and jaw. In a rare showing, Nausicaa had appeared to out muscle Korra and got her locked into The Mediator (Chicken-wing armlock w/ jaw hooked)! Had Nausicaa locked it in while standing, the submission may have been enough. But being in an awkward position when applied meant Korra had enough leverage to roll on top of Nausicaa in a way to pin her shoulders down. Nausicaa had to give up the hold to avoid being pinned. Both women race to their feet, but this time the Water Whip connects. She breaks out a finisher not from the Land of Carnage, but from classic CWF, with the Tsunami Slam (Spinning Spinebuster). The combination of the two are good enough to put Nausicaa down for the count and Korra retains her championship!

It is surprising such a clean and professional match would end a NCW show. But things sharply drove into chaos at the post-match handshake. Both challengers & champion were cordial, with the fans giving Nausicaa her laurels to come back. But while Korra watched Nausicaa depart the ring, she didn't see who had just scaled the turnbuckle behind her. The assailant floors Korra with a diving dropkick to the chest! The attack is masked, but the red wolf facsimile only makes it more obvious who the person is. It's the other half of the Miyazaki Maidens, San! She has Korra cornered and Nausicaa perplexed. Nausicaa grabs a rope to try to intervene in the ring, but San brandishes her knife to bade her partner off. As for Korra, she's given a chance to pull herself back up and assess what's happening. The championship belt has been cast to the far side of the ring thanks to the ambush, and San is clearly trying to tempt Korra into going for it. After a pause, Korra tries to break out but soon is ensnared into the Urufu Rokku (Pentagram Choke)! The crowd is rabid in noise from the shocking attack while Korra goes limp from the hold. Nausicaa is frozen by confusion on the outside, unsure whom to come to the aid of. San, who's masked had now been dislodged from the scuffle, looks at the women's world championship stretched across her hands. She drops it over Korra's body as the show fades to black.
