Chapter 2

~At the GCPD Building~

It was utter chaos at the GCPD HQ, as the main lobby was flooded with a small crowd of civilians whom were attempting to file a complaint with the desk sergeant and the Dispatch operators had their hands dealing with numerous people calling in random tips about the robbery crew whom pulled off the armored car heist. Meanwhile, in the main bullpen area on the 2nd floor of the precinct, which was the Homicide Unit, a small handful of detectives and patrols officers were chatting about the new changes to the PD.

"Did you guys catch that part about what the new Commissioner plans to do to the Bat Signal?" A patrol officer, speaking in a Brooklyn accent asked as he and his fellow cops had watched the live news conference themselves on the TV in the lounge/break room not too long ago...and they were deeply stunned at how Commissioner Gordon's replacement planned on getting rid of the Bat-Signal!

"She can't do that...can she? I mean, we all know what the signal means to this city." Another patrol officer, an African American woman asked while glancing between her fellow colleagues, wondering if Capt. Yindel could really have them dismantle the Signal...especially since most of the GCPD were indebted to Batman/Bruce Wayne for all the times he had saved their lives and didn't wish to see the Bat Signal go.

"Unfortunately, she can. She's the Commissioner and she has power to do whatever she wants." A GCPD detective, a Latino-American man answered while sighing softly as he pointed out to his fellow cops on how Yindel could indeed have the Signal removed and destroyed: as she was both a Captain and the newly promoted Commissioner; which gave her the authority to do whatever she saw fit.

"By the way, did you guys hear about the new transfer from the Big Apple? He's starting today." Another detective, a tan skinned woman speaking in a Boston accent added while asking her colleagues if they heard about the new detective whom had transferred from New York.

"Yeah. From what I heard, the guys a straight shooter." Another female detective, a Latina woman in her mid to late 30's of Dominican descent with tan skin, long black hair tied in a ponytail behind her head and brown eyes weaking an olive green jacket over a white buttoned shirt, blue jeans, a brown leather belt holding her GCPD issued badge and jet black shoes answered, confirming that she indeed heard about the new hire and stated on how the detective transferring to their precinct was apparently a real stand up guy and honest cop.

"Yeah, I heard the same thing. One of my friends who works out of the 105th in Queens says the new guy worked the Major Crimes Task Force in Manhattan under Captain Watanabe." The Latino detective replied, claiming he had heard the same thing while revealing to his fellow cops on how a friend of his who worked out of the 105th Precinct in Queens told him that the detective transferring to the GCPD had previously worked in the Major Crimes Task Force in Manhattan.

"...The Major Crimes Task Force? As in the..." The tan skinned female detective asked with awe-struck eyes after hearing what unit the new transfer worked out of.

"Yep, the same one that was responsible for taking down the Kingpin...with Spider-Man's help." The Latino detective answered with a soft grin on his face and nodding his head, confirming that the task force he spoke of was the same one who eventually brought down Wilson Fisk's criminal empire...even though it was actually Spider-Man's doing (due to Fisk's men having the NYPD outnumbered and outgunned).

"Hey, you guys. They're here." Another patrol officer, a young Caucasian man in his mid 20's stated as he informed his fellow cops on how the new Commissioner and detective had just arrived before getting into a formal stance with his hands behind his back...as Captain Yindel walked up the steps and entered the room, along with a man whom was in his mid to late 30's, Caucasian with auburn brown reddish hair in a Side Part hairstyle and tan brown/amber eyes wearing a charcoal grey jacket over a baby blue buttoned shirt, jet black slacks, a black leather belt carrying a gun holster housing a police issued Generation 3 Glock 19 and chocolate brown Wolverine hiking shoes walking right behind her.

"Ohh, Commissioner. We weren't expecting you so soon." The female Dominican detective stated as she and her fellow cops looked on deeply flustered at the unexpected arrival of their commanding officer and instinctively saluted her.

"At ease ladies, gentlemen." Captain Yindel stated with a soft grin as she was pleased by her detectives and officer's deep sense of professionalism while clearing her throat as she prepared herself for the speech she was about to give.

"Seeing as how all you have no doubtingly heard, I'll get straight to the point. I'd like everyone to meet Det. Eric Sheridan from the Manhattan Major Crimes Task Force. He served three years as a patrol officer, 7 as a Detective in Manhattan North Homicide and 5 in Major Crimes." The brunette continued as she introduced the new transfer from New York City as Det. Eric Sheridan with the local cops and detectives clapping their hands in applause as they welcomed Det. Henderson to Gotham City and the PD.

"Thank you Commissioner Yindel. It's truly an honor to be here." Det. Sheridan stated humbly and professionally as he thanked the newly appointed police commissioner for welcoming him into the GCPD.

"You're welcome Detective. Now, I'm fully aware that the members of your previous unit normally worked alone...but here in Gotham, its completely different. The detectives under Commissioner Gordon's and my command work in pairs. Is that clear?" Capt. Yindel replied with a proud grin on her face, which swiftly turned into a serious expression as she informed Sheridan on how the detectives that served under Jim's command when he was still alive and now hers worked with a partner and asked if he understood.

"Yes. I understand." Sheridan answered with a solemn nod, showing that he understood perfectly on how he needed a partner.

"Good. You, Detective. What's your name?" The brunette stated with a soft grin while glancing to the Dominican detective and asking for her name.

"Montoya, Ma'am." The raven haired woman, whom was known by her fellow cops and colleagues as Det. Renee Montoya answered respectfully.

"Montoya, I'm having you partner up with Sheridan. Do you have a problem with that?" Yindel continued as she informed Montoya that she would be assigning her as Sheridan's new partner and demanded to know if that would be a problem for either of them.

"No Commissioner. Its not a problem at all." Montoya answered professionally as she had no problems being partnered up with Sheridan.

"Looking forward to it." Sheridan stated, showing that he was perfectly fine being partnered with Montoya as well.

"Okay, then. Now down to business. As you ladies and gentlemen no doubtingly know, we've got a highly dangerous robbery crew that's running amok in Gotham: as they robbed an armored car carrying $5 million dollars in the Bowery District meant to be delivered to Gotham National Bank four hours ago. They put the driver, his partner and two officers in the hospital earlier today. As if right now...this case is our number one priority." Capt. Yindel stated with a casual grin, which once again turned into a serious expression as she informed her officers about the three man robbery crew; whom robbed an armored car and made off with $5 million dollars while putting two of their cops in the hospital...and firmly stated on how apprehending the robbers before they hurt anyone else was their top priority.

"Montoya, you and Sheridan are the lead." She continued as she assigned Montoya and Sheridan the primary detectives on the robbery crew case.

"Yes Commissioner./Yes Ma'am." Montoya and her newly assigned partner replied, showing that they understood their orders and were perfectly fine with working the robbery crew investigation together.

"Alright, then. I'll you leave to it. The rest of you, get to work. I want these bastards off the streets by the end of the day." Capt. Yindel stated with a soft grin as she was deeply proud of her cops strong sense of professionalism before she walked past the bullpen and stepped into her new office...which previously belonged to Jim's Gordon and closed the door behind her with Montoya and her fellow colleagues watching on in silence: as they found it rather awkward in seeing Yindel working out of their previous commissioner/C.O.'s office.

"So Montoya, where do you want to start?" Sheridan asked.

"We should probably start with the driver of the armored car. He probably got a good look at their faces." Montoya answered, stating on how she wanted to interview the driver of the armored car as she strongly felt that he got a good look at the robbers faces while pulling away and standing up from her desk.

"Okay, sounds like a plan." Sheridan stated as he strongly agreed with his new partner's intuition about interviewing the driver while his memory was still fresh as they exited the bullpen, walked downstairs to the lobby and exited the PD, where they entered the parking, got into Montoya's personal car; a dark red Chevy Caprice sedan and drove off to Gotham General Hospital.

~Meanwhile at the Financial District~

Shortly after departing from the Belfry, Catwoman had rode her motorcycle down the streets and luckily for her, it didn't take her long to reach the Iceberg Lounge; as it was only six blocks away from Union Station. Although, as soon as she pulled up towards the nightclub...she instinctively backed up in reverse, as she caught a glimpse of two security thugs posted in front of the main entrance and knew that she couldn't risk being seen: as they would tip off and warn their boss. But luckily, Selina was never one to take the obvious route and parked her motorcycle in an alley that was parallel from the club. Once she got the bike, Catwoman smiled as she flexed her glove covered hands open and the claws at the tips of her fingers automatically popped out...and scaled up the brick wall to the roof of the Iceberg Lounge; where she spotted her means of entering the nightclub: a glass skylight.

Once she easily lifted the skylight open and landed silently on the floor of a vacant storeroom...which housed numerous glass display cases containing high quality art pieces: ranging from medieval weaponry to several key items that belonged to Batman's lesser enemies; namely Clock King and Captain Boomerang and exquisite paintings that rightfully belonged to the Cobblepot family.

'Hmm, I'll give this to ol' Ozzy. He always did have a good taste in art.'Catwoman mentally stated with a coy grin on her face as she was tempted to carve a hole in the glass to the display cases and help herself to a few keepsakes for old times...but after remembering her promise to Bruce and her new role/purpose in life, she left the cases alone and walked towards the door in front of her.

Although, as soon as she opened the doors...she immediately crouched down; as she spotted another of the Penguin's security guards walking up a staircase from the ground floor to the upper floor balcony that she was standing on and much to her good fortune, the hired thug failed to notice her as he was talking over his earpiece radio.

"Langley, you there?"A male voice speaking in a deep gruff tone called out, which caused the hired goon to flinch in discomfort.

"Yes, Carlson. I'm here. I'm beginning my sweep on the east wing of the 2nd floor." The thug, Langley replied as he informed his superior, Carlson, that he was about to start his rounds on the 2nd floor of the club...and was completely unaware of a certain cat masked vigilante sneaking up behind him.

"Alright, just a quick reminder. The boss is entertaining clients in the VIP room and doesn't wish to be disturbed under any circumstance. So if you or the other sentry's see any intruders...deal with them discreetly. Understood?" Carlson stated as he reminded Langley on how Penguin was in the middle of an important meeting in the VIP longue and instructed him and the rest of their fellow hired thugs to deal with any intruders they spotted in the club as quietly as they could.

"Yeah, I got it. Over and o..." Langley answered, showing that he understood his orders perfectly...before gasping in sudden shock: as Catwoman had stealthily snuck up behind and wrapped her arms around his neck in the sleeper hold; cutting off his airway and tripping his right foot, causing him to fall to the floor and gasping for air before blacking out.

After the security thug was incapacitated, Catwoman had crouched down whilst walking down the balcony corridor to the central staircase...before ducking behind one of the Roman decor pillars; as she caught a brief glimpse of a female security guard exiting a different room and walking towards the stairs to the dance floor. Although...as the female guard walked down the hallway, Catwoman drew out her whip and once she was within striking distance: she swiftly lassoed her whip around the unsuspecting guard's left ankle and with a sharp tug...caused her to lose her balance and collapse flat face on the floor and before she could even pick herself up, Catwoman rolled out from behind cover and landed a swift strike to the back of the guard's neck; rendering her unconscious.

Once the first two guards were dealt with, Catwoman climbed up the stone railing and leaped across to one of the chandeliers dangling over the dance floor that thankfully held her light bodily weight and gave her a perfect vantage point: as she counted 6 guards; five on the ground floor and one guarding the door to Penguin's main office. As she glanced down and thoroughly studied the guards movements so she could plan her approach in sneaking Cobblepot's office, she couldn't help but listen in to the conversation the clueless thugs were current in.

"God, I miss the good old days when we were wreaking hell on the GCPD and making the city ours." A male guard, standing behind the bar softly muttered as he told another of his fellow cohorts, whom was helping herself to a Metropolitan cocktail on how he missed the days when they terrorized the people of Gotham and how they came close to claiming the city during the Scarecrow/Gotham Knight incident.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I just don't get why the Boss gave up and decided to go legit when both the Bat and Gordon finally kicked the bucket." The female guard stated as she shared her fellow thug's frustrations: as they and the majority of their fellow cohort's still couldn't comprehend on how the Penguin simply gave up on his ambitions and decided to merely run the Iceberg Lounge as a legit nightclub.

"You don't think the Boss lost his nerve, do you?" The 1st male guard softly asked as he was deeply worried if Penguin had gone soft, which was when another male guard had approached the bar for a drink.

"Hey! Watch your mouth Frankie! The boss hasn't lost his nerve, he's just keeping his end of the deal that he made with that asshole Red Hood. As long as the boss goes straight, he gets to live." The 2nd male guard rebuked as he angrily explained to his fellow lackies the true reason why their boss decided to give up on his life of crime: how the Red Hood eventually paid Penguin a visit and gave him an ultimatum that he couldn't say no to...he either gave up on his ambitions to ruling Gotham and lived an honest life or he would kill him in a similar way like he had with Black Mask!

"But Chuck, the Bat is gone and the Hood went off to fight crime in another city somewhere across the country! Plus since Black Mask is dead, Gotham is ripe for the taking!" The 1st guard, Frankie replied while pointing out the obvious fact on with Batman dead and Red Hood away at another city, they could finally claim Gotham as their own.

"Yeah...and be dead before we could ever enjoy it! Red Hood killed a small army of Black Mask's men without even trying and he tossed the Mask off a fuckin' roof! You morons really want to risk taking on that trigger happy son of a bitch when he eventually comes back cuz he thought the Boss went back on his word?!" The 2nd guard, Chuck angrily barked back in return as he pointed out the fact on how the Red Hood had slaughtered a handful of Black Mask's remaining foot soldiers and killed the mask weaking crime lord himself by throwing him off the roof of a building while demanding to know if Frankie and the rest of their fellow thugs really wanted to try their luck against the homicidal vigilante, whom had no problem with actually killing criminals when he returned to Gotham!

"...No." Frankie answered with a deeply saddened expression on his face...as he completely agreed with Chuck's words and more importantly, how he didn't want to end up dead by the hands of the Red Hood.

"Then shut up. If the boss says we're done with that life, we're done with that life." Chuck angrily snarled while pounding his balled up right hand against the table... showing that he didn't want to have this conversation a second time before walking away with Frankie and the female guard looking on with intimidated looks on their faces.

'Huh...Jason must've really made an impression when he paid Ozzy that 'visit'.'Catwoman mentally stated as she was genuinely surprised by the level of anger in Chuck's voice...along with the hint of fear, as he was clearly frightened of Red Hood and didn't wish to suffer an early death by the extremely violent and unhinged vigilante.

Once she had glanced back to the west side balcony, an amused smile crept across her face: as the guard standing sentry outside Penguin's office eventually walked away from his post to stretch his legs. As soon as the coast was clear and idiot thug's back, Catwoman had took a deep breath before she silently leap over to the left side side balcony and crept up behind the guard: where she wrapped her right leg around his neck, causing him to gasp in surprise before forcing him onto to the floor; where she performed the scissor choke and after a few mere seconds he unconscious.

Shortly after the guard had been disposed of and she dragged his body into a vacant room where no one would find him, Catwoman stepped inside Penguin's office, which was empty but filled with exquisite furniture: which consisted of an Amish hardwood executive desk with an antiquity vintage 1979 telephone, a Newrays Glass Bankers desk lamp and a full bottle of wine. Once inside, Catwoman instinctively activated the Detectives Vision function to her mask and glanced directly at the desk: as she spotted a hidden button built underneath the top, which she naturally knew was connected to a silent security alarm and a Glock 17 handgun in the top drawer.

'Hmm, of course Ozzy still has the same old alarm built into his desk.'Catwoman mentally stated while shaking her head as she traced the wires to the alarm and disabled it by severing the central wire with a single claw to her right pointer finger and opened the drawer to his desk where she reached for the Glock 17, removed the full clip and ejected the additional bullet from the chamber before placing it back in the drawer and shutting it: so Penguin wouldn't notice anything out of place when he eventually returned to his office for solitude.

And luckily for Catwoman...she didn't have to wait long: as she turned around and heard footsteps echoing from outside in the hallway and saw the knobs to the doors jiggling. But before the doors fully opened, she instinctively crouched down and leaped into the air; where she tucked into a somersault and dug her claws onto the ceiling...which was the exact moment Penguin opened the doors to his private quarters.

"Oi, Charlie! Tell that arsehole Frank and the rest of gang that I'll be 'andling important paperwork in my office and I don't wish to be disturbed." Penguin stated as he glanced over his shoulder while speaking in a posh Cockney accent and calling out to Chuck on the ground floor, informing him that he would be going over paperwork in his office and that he didn't want to be bothered for anything.

"Got ya Boss. I'll password for Frankie and the others." Chuck replied as he understood his orders and gave his employer the okay sign.

"An' have someone find Langley, Sullivan and Welsch! Those three idiots aren't answering their radios!" The former crime lord added as he ordered Chuck and the rest of the hired help to locate the three missing security guards (whom Catwoman knocked unconscious) as they hadn't checked in over their radios.

"Roger boss. We'll find 'em." Chuck stated as he assured Penguin that he, Frank and the rest of their cohorts would look for Langley, Sullivan and Welsch, whom had been assigned to guard the doors to their boss's office.

As soon as he gave his security forces their orders, Penguin stepped inside his office and closed the doors behind him and walked towards his desk; where he sat down in his chair, pulled on the cord that turned on the lamp and poured a small amount on wine from the bottle sitting on his desk in a wine glass before sighing softly as he leaned back in his luxury chair. Although, while he was sitting comfortably behind his desk...Penguin's eyes immediately snapped open: as he heard a light creaking noise...and stared in genuine surprise as Catwoman had released her grip of the ceiling and landed silently on the Persian carpet covered floor and casually stood up straight.

"Hello Ozzy." Catwoman stated casually as she greeted the reformed crime boss whom she had a repeated history with, just like Bruce.

"Wha' the bloody 'ell are you doin' here?" Cobblepot asked as he was deeply surprised by the unexpected arrival of the cat masked vigilante and swiftly reached for and drew out the Glock 17 handgun that he kept in his desk drawer, aiming it directly at her.

"That gun won't be doing you any good. Not without this, anyway." Catwoman stated plainly with a coy smirk on her face...as she reached behind her back and showed the fully loaded clip that she removed from the Glock.

"...Thought it was feeling light." Penguin replied dryly as he instinctively noted the weight difference of his Glock 17 before dropping it and attempting to press the button underneath his desk...before pausing in mid-action.

"Don't bother calling for your guards. I disabled the alarm." Catwoman automatically added as she revealed to Penguin on how she had already disabled the silent alarm: so he wouldn't be able to alert his men that he was in trouble.

"...What do you want Kyle?" Penguin asked with leery eyes, demanding to know what it was that the cat masked anti-heroine wanted...even though he was genuinely deeply taken back that she was currently wearing a highly advanced suit that was practically a female version to Batman's.

"The robbery crew that pulled off the armored car heist in the Bowery earlier today, Oswald. What do you know about them?" Catwoman answered directly as she asked Penguin about what he knew about the three man robbery crew that was currently operating in Gotham.

"Nothin'. Except for what I read in the papers or watch on the bloody telly. An' in case you haven't noticed, I'm no longer in that life." The former crime boss answered truthfully, stating on how he knew nothing about the robbery crew who robbed the armored car while pointing out the obvious fact on how he was no longer a criminal mastermind.

"What are you really doin' 'ere Kyle? You never gave a bloody damn about what happened in this city. Why start now?" He automatically added as he demanded to know the true Catwoman had came to him and was curious to why all of a sudden she began to care about the rise of crime in Gotham: especially since the on and off vigilante/thief didn't care about anything or anyone but herself.

"...You could say that I'm turning over a new leaf. Plus...I'm honoring a promise to an old friend." Catwoman answered solemnly, stating that she was simply 'starting over' and honoring Bruce's dying wish in keeping the city they both loved safe.

"...Ohh, isn't that nice? The 'ore of Gotham who screwed her way into Batman's, or should I say Bruce Wayne's heart grew a conscience." Penguin stated while scoffing and chuckling after hearing the reason why Catwoman was attempting to protect Gotham and wearing a suit similar to Batman's was simply because of a 'promise' she made to the Dark Knight.

"Watch yourself Ozzy. Or maybe you forgot how I don't share Batman's sense of boundaries." Catwoman calmly countered with leery eyes and coldly reminding Cobblepot on how she didn't share Bruce's sense of ethics and had no problem in crossing certain lines when it came to fighting crime...which immediately silenced Penguin: as he knew her words were in fact true.

"I'm fully aware you're no longer in the game...but you still have eyes and ears throughout the city." She automatically added, showing that she was fully aware of how Penguin was no longer in the crime business...whilst fairly surmising on how he still had contacts in the city's criminal underworld.

"...And even if I did, what's it to ya? Why would I ever consider helpin' you?" Cobblepot replied with equally leery eyes and glare on his face while demanding to know why he would even bother entertaining the notion of assisting the cat masked vigilante...and would be deeply taken back by the answer.

"Ohh gee, I don't know. Maybe because I could always tell Red Hood how you went back on your word and that you and your boys are planning on making a move to claim Gotham for yourselves?" Catwoman answered sarcastically while stating on how she would contact Jason and tell him on how Penguin 'broke' his promise and went back to a life of crime...especially since she overheard several of his men complaining on how they missed reeking havoc on the city streets!

"...You wouldn't dare." Penguin stated plainly as he naturally assumed and felt that Catwoman was bluffing...even though he couldn't help but sweat heavily in fear after hearing how she would actually deceive Red Hood in returning to Gotham by telling a simple lie!

"You think?" Catwoman asked with a casual smirk on her face, which caused the former crime lord to simply glance at her while thoroughly reading the expression on her face and look in her eyes: which showed that she wasn't bluffing.

"...Even if I did tell you...how would that benefit me? What's the pay?" Cobblepot asked while demanding to know what he would get in return for providing Catwoman with whatever information she wanted.

"Well for starters, not having me come back here Ozzy." Selina answered with the casual smirk on her face, claiming that she would 'never' return to the Iceberg Lounge once she got the information she needed.

"Ohh please. Do you think I'm stupid like those blithering idiots I have working for me? We both know after I give you what you want, you'll come back here again and again for the same thing! An' I ain't a bloody rat! I'm not going to destroy my reputation by becoming a rat!" Penguin angrily countered, showing that he didn't buy Catwoman's 'promise' in never showing her face around his club ever again and pointed out on how she would turn to him if she needed information on another case and adamantly refused to become the one thing that every criminal despised: an informant, a snitch.

"Ozzy...what rep? Your rep went down the toilet the second Red Hood paid you that 'social visit'." Catwoman plainly countered with a straight face as she pointed out to Cobblepot on how he longer had a criminal reputation to protect: as his empire was finished and the majority of his men were either still locked up in Arkham or killed during the Scarecrow/Arkham Knight affair...which caused Penguin to sit in his chair in silence as he begrudgingly knew she was right.

"...Tell me about the robbers." Penguin demanded plainly as he asked Catwoman to tell him what she already knew about the robbery crew.

"One of the men I'm looking for is a career criminal from Detroit named Bryan Vogel; he killed his previous partners and is currently working with two local men." Catwoman answered as she revealed to Cobblepot on how the mastermind behind the crew was a man named Bryan Vogel; whom murdered his previous crew members and was currently working with two men native to Gotham.

"Ohh, this chap murdered his own mates did he? How coldblooded." Penguin asked with raised eyebrows after hearing how dangerous and ruthless the leader of robbery crew was: as he had no qualms in murdering his own partners!

"And according to the police reports, one of the robbers was armed with an H G36K outfitted with a..." The cat masked vigilante replied with leering eyes whilst revealing to Cobblepot on what type of weapon was used in the armored car robbery, she was surprisingly cut off.

"With a Beta-C drum magazine?" Penguin asked plainly while leaning back against his chair and holding and lightly shaking his wine glass in his left hand.

"Yes...that's right. And I'm guessing you know where they got the gun from." Catwoman answered while genuinely surprised to how Cobblepot knew what type of magazine had been used in the robbery and fairly surmised that he knew whom had provided Vogel and his new cohorts with the modified assault rifle.

"Well...you're not wrong. There's only one fella in Gotham I know who specializes in customized assault rifles." Penguin replied with a soft nod, confirming that he indeed knew the name of an arms dealer who dealt in customized weapons; specifically assault rifles.

"This individual have a name?" Catwoman stated while asking for the name of the arms dealer.

"Kieran Byrne. He's a major arms dealer and he does not discriminate. He sells to anyone who has money and can afford his price. He spends most of his time at the 8-Bit and sometimes deals out of a shithole motel at Sheldon Park, the Thompson." Cobblepot answered as he wrote down the name of a well known illegal arms dealer known as Kieran Byrne and also provided Catwoman with the two likely places she would find him: the 8-Bit Bar in the Cauldron District (which was ironically her 2nd stop) and a motel at Sheldon Park.

"Alright, thanks for the tip." Catwoman stated with a coy smile as she thanked the reformed crime lord for the information before exiting his office and closing the doors behind her with Penguin simply sitting in his chair as he turned to glance to the fireplace with the fire burning.

'Well, ain't this grand? The great Oswald Cobblepot, one of the most feared crime lords of Gotham City...reduced to a mere nightclub owner and snitch. What is this bloody world coming to?'Penguin mentally stated while shaking his head in disgust as he couldn't believe how far his reputation had declined: as he went from being a notorious and feared gangster/crime boss to a simple nightclub owner who now moonlighted as an informant for Catwoman before sipping down from his wine glass and turning back to desk; where he went over the small pile of papers regarding his club.

~Meanwhile at Amusement Mile~

Inside an vacant industrial warehouse at the Dixon Docks, a meeting was taking between a Caucasian man in his mid to late 40's, with short ruffled oak brown hair, teal green eyes and three men: one being Bryan Vogel, the 2nd being a Hispanic man in his mid 30's with light brown skin, brown hair in a Takuache Cuh style haircut and stone grey eyes and the 3rd being a tan skinned man also in his mid 30's with strawberry blonde hair in a High Fade Edgar style haircut.

"So Darius, did you like the G36K that I gave you for the armored car job?" The brunette man, speaking in an Irish-American accent stated while asking Vogel for his thoughts on the customized H G36 assault rifle he sold him whilst addressing him by his middle name.

"I must admit Mr. Byrne, I was deeply impressed with the assault rifle provided me and my associates for the armored car heist. Those shithead guards and cops never saw what hit them." Vogel answered with a casual grin on his face as informed the man, whom was in fact the illegal arms dealer, Kieran Byrne that he deeply enjoyed the H G36K assault rifle that he bought from him.

"However, Mr. Alfaro, Mr. Younger and I require new weapons for our next score." The veteran bank robber continued, stating on how he and his new cohorts required better weapons for the upcoming heist they planned on pulling soon.

"Is that so? What is the job, if you don't mind me asking." Byrne asked with raised eyes, demanding to know what sort of heist Vogel and his new crew planned on committing.

"We're planning on hitting Gotham Merchant's Bank. That's gonna be our last score and then we're going to...lay low for a bit." Vogel answered, revealing on how he, Alfaro and Younger were planning on robbing the newly rebuilt Merchant's Bank; which had been greatly damaged during the Joker/Black Mask affair and would be the last job they pulled off as they laid low for a few days.

"Well...luckily for you Vogel; I think I have what you and your associates might like." Byrne stated with a casual and satisfied smirk on his face, claiming that he had the guns that Vogel and his new crew members would want whilst thumbing and walking towards a blood red 1998 Chevy Express cargo van that was parked a few feet behind him and opening the back doors...which revealed a medium sized arsenal of various weapons!

"Allow me to introduce you gents to the FN P90 submachine gun: fully automatic and fires 5.7mm rounds deigned to penetrate the thickest body armor like a hot knife through butter." He started off as he reached into the van and pulled out a FN P90 which was outfitted with a red dot sight and side mounted lime green colored laser sight that he handed to Vogel; whom thoroughly examined the submachine gun and nodded with a soft grin...showing that he liked it before handing the gun to Younger so he and Alfaro could look over it.

"Up next is the SWD Street Sweeper: perfect for riot control since it fires up to 12 rounds from a 12-round rotating cylinder." Byrne continued as he took out a 2nd weapon; which was an SWD Street Sweeper combat shotgun that was outfitted with a holographic sight and RIS foregrip.

"And last but not least, my personal favorite...the MK. 13 Desert Eagle. Semi-automatic, fires .50 caliber rounds and as an extra bonus: these bullets are hollow-points; which causes severe damage when expanded upon impact." The Irish-American man concluded as he handed Vogel a chrome plated Mk. 13 Desert Eagle that was also outfitted with a lime green laser sight.

"Hmmm. Nice. Very nice." Vogel stated with a dark grin on his face as he examined the Desert Eagle whilst Younger and Alfaro examined the Street Sweeper.

"We'll take the P90, two Street Sweepers and three Desert Eagles." He swiftly added, claiming that he and his current partners would purchase a single FN P90, two Street Sweeper shotguns and three Desert Eagle handguns.

"Very well, but just so you know...these custom pieces don't come cheap." Byrne stated with a casual grin while informing and warning Vogel that the weapons he was about to sell him and his crew wouldn't be cheap...and would be deeply stunned/shocked, along with Younger and Alfaro by the unexpected turn of events that was about to happen.

"Not a problem. Here you go." Vogel replied with a dark and cold grin on his face...as he pulled back on the slide of the Desert Eagle, aimed the barrel directly at Byrne's face and fired a single .50 AE hollow point bullet that entered through the front and exited through the back of his skull with the force of the gunshot forcing Byrne to leap off his feat before landing and falling flat on his back with a look of utter shock on his face!

"No!" Younger screamed in dismay as he and Alfaro stared in great horror to what they just witnessed!

"Ay dios Mio! (Oh my God!)" Alfaro exclaimed while placing his free right hand over his mouth whilst holding the Street Sweeper by the barrel in his left!

"Heh. Pleasure doing business with you Byrne." Vogel stated while scoffing with the dark smug smirk on his face as he casually blew on the tip of the barrel of the Desert Eagle and tucked it behind his back while lifting his shirt/jacket up.

"What the hell was that?!" Younger exclaimed while angrily grabbing a hold of Vogel's right shoulder, which immediately earned the veteran criminal's attention and angrily swatted his cohort's hand off and away from him.

"Back off Dean." Vogel answered plainly as he ordered Younger to back up whilst calling him by his first name.

"What the fuck was that Bryan?!" Younger asked again while demanding to know why Vogel had just executed Byrne right after he had shown them the hardware they planned on purchasing from him!

"Just grab the guns and ammo and lets go." Vogel stated while shrugging casually as he coldly shoved Younger and ordered him and Alfaro to grab the second Street Sweeper, two Desert Eagles and as much ammo as they could carry.

"You just killed a man!" Alfaro angrily exclaimed as he walked forward and bluntly pointed at Byrne's corpse on cold concrete floor!

"Forget about him and grab the fucking guns and ammo!" Vogel angrily snarled as he grabbed Alfaro by the collar of his shirt and threateningly aimed the barrel of the Desert Eagle directly underneath his chin with his finger resting on the trigger and ordered him and Younger to grab the weapons.

"Okay! Okay...we'll get the guns." Younger exclaimed with a deeply started expression on his face, along with Alfaro's as he raised both his hands up and stating that they would get the guns with the Hispanic man reluctantly nodding in agreement.

"Good...Oh, and Younger." Vogel stated plainly while releasing his hold of Alfaro and shoving him away.

"What?" The tan skinned man demanded...before crying and groaning in pain: as Vogel had struck him insanely hard across his face with the butt of his Desert Eagle with Alfaro gasping and staring in disbelief!

"...Don't ever step up or put your fuckin' hands on me again. Or you're gonna eat a bullet just like Byrne here." Vogel coldly answered as he warned Younger never to question or challenge him again...or he'd execute him just like Byrne with the tan skinned looking at him in slight fear while spitting a small mouthful of blood onto the concrete floor.

"And that goes for you too Ramon. Got it?" He swiftly added while turning to Alfaro and threatening to kill him as well if he ever stepped out of line with the Hispanic man stepping back and flinching in intimidation as well.

"...Yeah. We got it jefe." Alfaro replied while glancing away and Younger glaring while wiping the blood covering his mouth away with the back of his left hand,

"Now grab the guns and ammo and lets go! We only have a few hours to go over our plan." Vogel stated as he ordered his cohorts to grab the rest of the gear that Byrne had 'sold' them while grabbing the FN P90 and Street Sweeper and casually walking out of the warehouse with the two weapons in his arms whilst whistling a tune...while Younger and Alfaro simply looked at him with dumbstruck expressions on their faces as he walked away.

"...(Tsk) Asshole." Younger softly muttered while straightening himself up.

"Dean, you alright?" Alfaro asked whilst walking up towards the tan skinned man, wondering if he was alright despite the blow to his face.

"No. What the hell did we get ourselves into Ramon?" Younger answered truthfully before asking the Hispanic man on what they were thinking when they first met Vogel and agreed to work with him.

"Y'know what? I've been wondering about that myself." Alfaro replied in all modesty while admitting on how he had been asking himself the same question.

"C'mon. Let's just get the guns and ammo before that hijo de puta decides to put a bullet in our heads like he promised." He softly added whilst suggesting that they grab the guns before Vogel grew impatient and decided to kill them just like Byrne!

"...Right. Let's go." Younger reluctantly stated while nodding in agreement with his fellow cohort's suggestion as they walked towards the back of Byrne's truck; where he grabbed and handed Street Sweeper shotgun and two Desert Eagles to Alfaro, which the Hispanic man gladly accepted whilst he grabbed three separate wooden boxes filled with dozens of 12 gauge shells and two dozen ammo clips for the Desert Eagles and FN P90.

Although, as soon as they had grabbed the ammo and weapons and began to exit the warehouse to join up with their so called 'boss'...the two men paused in their tracks and silently/somberly looked at Byrne's lifeless corpse.

"Sorry hombre, it's just...bad luck." Alfaro muttered as he genuinely apologized to Byrne for his unexpected death by Vogel's hands whilst performing the Sign of the Cross before he and his friend/cohort exited the building.

Once they stepped outside where they spotted Vogel waiting for them, they loaded the guns and ammo into the back of a dark brown 2003 Ford Bronco, they climbed inside as well; with Vogel getting behind the wheel and Younger and Alfaro sitting in the back passenger seats before taking off.

~Meanwhile with Catwoman~

Shortly after exiting Penguin's office and departing from the Iceberg Lounge without being detected by the rest of the reformed crime lord's incompetent security, Catwoman had returned to her motorcycle and rode off at high speed through the city streets towards Sheldon Park.

"Night, can you read me?" Catwoman asked while speaking into the small handheld device strapped to her left wrist as she contacted the Belfry.

"Affirmative, Catwoman. What can I do for you?"The female AI answered automatically.

"I need you to run a background check on a name for me: Kieran Byrne." The cat masked vigilante stated as she asked Night to do a search on the name of the man that Penguin gave her.

"Very well. Commencing search now...searching...found it. Kieran Byrne. Irish-American citizen, originally from South Boston, Massachusetts. A freelance gun runner and dealer with connections with the Brannigan and Devlin Crime Families. Moved to Gotham approximately six years ago and...Oh, my. That's not good."Night replied as she did as Selina asked and automatically hacked into the GCPD's criminal database: where she pulled up Byrne's personal information, along with his criminal career as a freelance gun dealer and past affiliations with two of the most powerful Mob families that operated in Boston before stopping in mid-sentence...as she had stumbled upon something rather unexpected.

"What's not good?" Catwoman asked, curious to whatever it was that the female AI had discovered...and would be left deeply surprised by the answer.

"...Selina. You might want to head to Amusement Mile instead of Sheldon Park. The GCPD have just responded to a 187 at an abandoned warehouse at the Dixon Docks."Night reluctantly answered as she informed Catwoman on how the police were currently responding to a homicide that took place at Dixon Docks!

"Night, this homicide...is it connected to the robbery crew?" The cat masked vigilante asked with her eyes slightly widening...as she deeply suspected that the murder the GCPD were responding to was Vogel and his crew's doing.

"Sadly...it is. The murder victim on the scene is your prime suspect: Kieran Byrne."Night answered as she painfully revealed to Catwoman on how the gun dealer she was planning to visit was currently dead!

"I'm on my way." Catwoman answered as she made a strong swerve, leaving a long visible skid mark as she turned around and headed towards Amusement Mile.

~Meanwhile with Montoya and Sheridan~

After leaving the PD and driving past traffic down the nearly flooded streets, Det. Montoya and her newly assigned partner had arrived at Gotham General Hospital; where they separately interviewed the driver of the armored car and his partner, whom gave them their statements: how they had just loaded the 5 million into the armored car and were about to leave Dixon Docks to deliver the money to Gotham National Bank before three men in ski masks had appeared with the leader of the three pulling out the G36K assault rifle and intimidated them into surrendering...and how the man armed with the G36K had viciously assaulted them separately whilst his partners climbed into the cab and drove off.

Once they had written down the driver and his partner's statements and checked in with the police officer whom had attempted to chase after the robbers before their leader shot out his tire and caused him to crash into the streetlight, Montoya and Sheridan had gone to the hospital's cafeteria: where they both ordered a cup of coffee and stepped into the female detective's car sipped down on their still fresh beverages.

"Mmm...the coffee here tastes the same back in Manhattan." Det. Sheridan softly stated as he commented on how the coffee that was sold and distributed in Gotham was similar to the coffee that he and his fellow cops in the NYPD drank.

"Yeah, we also have doughnut shops here as well in case you get home sick." Montoya playfully and jokingly stated as she informed her new partner on how Gotham City also had doughnut shops that were well popular for her fellow colleagues.

"Yeah, real funny." The reddish brown haired detective replied with a light grin while chuckling softly at the Dominican woman's choice of words and joke.

"So Montoya...are you a local?" He automatically added while asking his partner if she was born and raised in Gotham.

"No, my family and I are from the Dominican Republic." She answered truthfully as she revealed to Sheridan on how she and her family were originally from the Dominican Republic

"How long have you been the department?" Sheridan softly asked again as he was curious to how long Montoya had been a cop with the GCPD.

"I've been a cop for 12 years. I started out as a patrol cop for five years before making my detective's shield." Montoya answered as she revealed to the brunette on how she had been with the GCPD for 12 years: five years as a patrol office and seven as a homicide detective.

"Heh, 12 years is rather impressive." The brunette stated while chuckling softly as he was genuinely impressed by how long his assigned partner had been with the Gotham Police Department.

"Listen...Eric. Since we're partners, how about we try going on a first name basis?" Montoya started off while suggesting to her new partner that they call each other by their first names instead of their last names.

"...Sounds good to me...Renee." Sheridan answered with a soft grin as he was perfectly fine with his partner's suggestion, which the raven haired woman mirrored.

"So how what made you transfer to Gotham?" Renee softly asked as she was curious to what made Sheridan decide to leave the NYPD.

"...Joseph Martello aka Hammerhead happened." Eric answered...as he somberly and truthfully informed Montoya the reason why he transferred from New York was because of the ruthless and soulless crime boss whom had attempted to rule all of New York City.

"What do you mean?" Renee softly asked.

"...A few months after the Devil's Breath Incident and raid on Fisk Tower, the Maggia Crime Families had waged an all out city war with each other in order to crown themselves the new Kingpin of Crime in order to replace Wilson Fisk. However...there was one member of the Maggia who was far dangerous than the heads of the four Crime Families put together: Joseph Martello. Do you know how that towering freak of nature earned his nickname, Hammerhead?" Henderson answered as he explained to his partner that after Spider-Man had eventually defeated Doctor Octopus and ended the fateful Devil's Breath Incident, the Maggia Crime Families had waged war with each other in order to occupy Fisk's empty throne and rule over New York's criminal underworld after the Kingpin's overlong due and fateful arrest...and how one member of the Maggia, a man named Joseph Martello was more dangerous than the four dons who ran their criminal organization and asked Montoya if she knew how Martello earned the alias 'Hammerhead'.

"Um, no." Renee answered truthfully, as she didn't have the slightest idea how Martello earned his nickname...and would be shocked by the answer.

"The son of a bitch had a steel alloy plate surgically implanted into his skull after someone made an attempt on his life. And he earned the name 'Hammerhead', because of his M.O...as he would savagely bash his skull against his victims until they were dead." The brunette answered truthfully as he revealed to his partner the reason why Martello went by the name 'Hammerhead' was because of a steel alloy plate he had surgically implanted into his head...and how he had viciously murdered his victims by headbutting them to death!

"Oh my God." Montoya softly muttered while placing her right hand over her mouth whilst comparing Martello's level of savagery and sadistic nature to the Joker's and Black Masks.

"Yeah...and it was because of him that the Major Crimes Task Force was eventually broken up." Sheridan softly muttered while revealing to Renee that his previous unit was eventually disbanded due to Hammerhead.

"Broke it up how?" Renee softly asked as she was curious to how the sadistic crime boss had broken up the Major Crimes Task Force.

"...He did the one thing that no other high level criminal in New York ever did. He broke my commanding officer...Capt. Yuri Watanabe." Eric answered while revealing to his female partner on how Hammerhead had done the thing that no one, including Spider-Man could ever foresee or prevent: he had broken his C.O., Captain Watanabe.

"What do you mean he 'broke' her?" Montoya asked, curious to how Hammerhead had broke her partner's previous captain...and would be left deeply stunned/horrified by the answer.

"During the middle of the mob war, Martello had attempted to gain control of the Maggia by killing the other dons. But luckily, Captain Watanabe and our unit, along ESU and Spider-Man managed to track him and his gang down to the abandoned Harlem Sanitarium he was using as his base of operations. While Spidey and our back up were busy dealing with Hammerhead's men, Capt. Watanabe and a small handful of men had snuck into the building to apprehend Martello. Only...it was a trap. By the time Spider-Man had neutralized the small fry and gone in to help the captain, Hammerhead and the rest of his people had captured her and her team...and forced to her watch as he bludgeoned them to death with his head. One of the officers whom entered the building with the captain and was killed by that asshole, Lt. Gary Drake was a good friend of mine." The brunette answered as he revealed to Renee about the fateful day the NYPD and Spider-Man had tracked Hammerhead down to his hideout at the Harlem Sanitarium and how Capt. Watanabe and a small team of officers had infiltrated the building to apprehend Martello...which sadly and ultimately ended poorly: as Yuri and her team were overpowered and captured by Hammerhead...and how the coldblooded crime boss forced her to watch as he murdered her men by bludgeoning them to death with his reinforced head right in front of her!

"...Oh my God." Renee softly muttered as she stared in silent horror after hearing what had happened during the raid at the Harlem sanitarium.

"Yeah...and the breaking point for the Captain was when that son of a bitch personally lead an attack on a police station and murdered a number of cops in order to steal something that me, my fellow officers and Spider-Man only knew as 'Project Olympus'." Sheridan continued as he revealed to his partner that a few days after they failed to capture him at his hideout, Hammerhead retaliated by launching an attack on a NYPD police precinct and how and his men had slaughtered a number of police officers whilst stealing a highly classified experiment called 'Project Olympus'!

"Project...Olympus?" Montoya asked with a deeply expression on her face.

"You see...during the Demon and Devil's Breathe incident, the ever-so 'loving' and dipshit mayor of New York, Norman Osborne had decided to hire Sable International: an elite PMC based out of Symkaria to 'help' me and my fellow officers 'crack down on crime'. Which was a huge mistake...since Hammerhead and his men managed to get their hands on Sable's gear and weapons. And while Spider-Man was tracking down leads into figuring out Hammerhead's master plan, he eventually discovered that 'Project Olympus' was actually the codename for a highly experimental suit of battle armor." Eric answered as he explained to Renee on how the 'honorable' Mayor of NYC, Norman Osborne had made the incredibly unwise decision of hiring a PMC known as Sable International to 'assist' the NYPD in fighting off Martin Li and the Demons...which proved to be a grave mistake: as Martello and his gang had somehow managed to steal their highly advanced equipment and weapons after the Devil's Breathe incident and whilst running down a number of leads, Spider-Man eventually discovered that 'Project Olympus' was the codename for an experimental combat suit that also belonged to Sable.

"And...what was Hammerhead's master plan?" Montoya softly asked.

"The bastard attempted to kill the dons by drowning them in cement at an abandoned lot at Hudson Yards...and even tried to have it broadcasted on live TV throughout the entire city. But luckily, Spidey was able to stop it and confronted Hammerhead at the top of the construction site, where he was waiting for him and wearing the armor and after a heated fight, Spider-Man eventually brought that freak of nature down. But unfortunately, before me and the other officers could even slap the cuffs on him...Capt. Watanabe, whom had gone rogue at the time, also showed up and before anyone could stop her...she shot the smug son of a bitch in the head with a laser rifle." Sheridan answered as he revealed to his female partner on how Hammerhead had attempted to execute the dons by drowning them in cement on live TV, which thankfully never happened thanks to Spider-Man preventing it and after a heated and lengthy battle, the web slinging vigilante eventually defeated the power hungry crime boss...but sadly, the victory was short lived: as Capt. Watanabe, whom had been consumed with grief and her hatred for Hammerhead and gone AWOL, also arrived at the construction site and before he, the other cops on the scene and even Spider-Man could stop her...she had executed Martello by shooting him in the head with a Sable issued laser rifle!

"She...she executed him?" Renee asked with shock filled eyes as she was greatly staggered upon hearing how Capt. Watanabe shot and killed Hammerhead in front of him, the other cops and Spider-Man!

"...Yeah. But the problem is...the son of a bitch didn't stay 'dead': as one of his men had disguised himself as an EMT and revived him with a Taser whilst en route to the city morgue." Eric answered with a soft nod...whilst revealing to his partner on how Hammerhead didn't stay 'dead' for long: as he had one of men masquerading as an EMT, whom revived him with a Taser whilst on the to the morgue!

"He survived?!" Montoya asked with a bewildered expression on her face after hearing how Martello had managed to survive after being shot pointblank in the head!

"...Yeah, he survived...and several weeks later, he did the one thing that no rational person would ever do possible." Henderson replied with a soft nod, confirming that Hammerhead indeed survived...and then he did 'something' that no one ever thought was possible.

"What do you mean Eric?" Renee asked, wondering what it was that Hammerhead had done...and she would be deeply taken back by the truly unexpected answer.

"The crazy son of a bitch had a bunch of Oscorp scientists that he had kidnapped turn him into a cyborg." The brunette answered truthfully as he revealed to his partner on how Hammerhead had surgically converted himself into a cyborg!

"He turned himself...into a cyborg?" Montoya asked as she did a double take after hearing what Martello had done to himself: how he surgically turned himself into a machine!

"...Yep." Sheridan answered with a soft nod, confirming that she heard him right.

"Jesus Christ...And I thought Joker was fuckin' insane." Renee softly muttered as she compared Hammerhead's sanity with the currently deceased Clown Prince of Crime's, whom she found even more insane: as the ruthless and power hungry crime boss had turned himself into a cyborg.

"...Well, anyway...after what had happened at the sanitarium and Capt. Watanabe leaving the NYPD after shooting that asshole, the task force was eventually disbanded and me and the other members were reassigned to other precincts. I needed a change of scenery...and I heard how the GCPD was in need of seasoned detectives." Eric softly concluded as he revealed to his partner that after the failed raid at the Harlem mental asylum and Capt. Watanabe leaving the NYPD in disgrace due to her actions during the Hammerhead affair, the Major Crimes Task Force was ultimately disbanded and the remaining members of his old team were transferred to different police precincts throughout New York.

"...Were you there at the raid?" Renee softly asked, curious if her partner was one of the officers that was part of the raid to capture Hammerhead at the Harlem Sanitarium.

"...I was supposed to be." He answered softly while shaking his head 'no', stating that he wasn't part of the team to apprehend Hammerhead at the abandoned mental hospital...whilst claiming that he was supposed to be.

Before Montoya could ask her partner any further questions, that was when their car radio immediately came to life.

"Attention all units, attention all units. Any available cars, please respond to the 187 at Dixon Docks." The police dispatcher called out whilst advising any available police cars to respond to the recently reported homicide at Amusement Mile.

"You know where Dixon Docks is?" Sheridan asked while turning to Montoya, wondering if she where Amusement Mile was.

"Yeah, I can get us there." Renee answered as she and Eric buckled their seat belts and reached for the speaker microphone.

"Dispatch, this is Montoya. Hold Detective Sheridan and myself down for responding to the 187." She automatically added as she informed the dispatcher that she and her partner would be responding to the homicide at Dixon Docks.

"Roger that Det. Montoya." The dispatcher replied.

"Hang on Eric. This is going to be a long night." Montoya stated while turning to Sheridan, whom nodded in agreement as they drove off towards Amusement Mile.

~Meanwhile with Catwoman~

After driving down the city streets at high speed and outrunning several police cruisers that had chased after her on her motorcycle, the cat masked vigilante eventually arrived at Dixon Docks, where she parked her customized sports bike between two shipping containers so it wouldn't be spotted. Once she climbed off her motorcycle, Catwoman walked past the open gate to the shipping docks, where she found visible tire tread marks on the cement, departing from a warehouse marked #11 and after stepping inside...her eyes widened in shock: as she found her prime lead, Kieran Byrne laying on the floor of the warehouse in a pool of his own blood around him and a 1998 Chevy cargo van parked inside with the back doors that were left slightly ajar.

'Huh, lucky I was able to beat the cops here first. This is a golden opportunity for me to try out the Detective Vision feature to my new goggles.'Selina mentally stated while chuckling softly at how she managed to give the GCPD the slip multiple times whilst riding through the city before placing her goggles over her eyes and activating the Detective Vision feature: which automatically turned her entire surroundings in a deep blue aura and specific items in an orange aura.

"Hmm, there are four sole impressions on the floor. Forensic analysis indicates the size and length of the shoe prints are size 11 and size 12, which is the common shoe size for men." Catwoman started off as she turned her attention to the floor, where she noticed four different sets of shoe impressions that no doubtingly belonged to Byrne, Vogel and his crew.

"The deceased victim is none other than Kieran Byrne, the gun dealer Ozzy informed me about. Hmm...it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to tell that Byrne was killed by a single bullet to the head, execution style. Forensic analysis suggests that the victim was shot at point black range...and yet, he doesn't have any defensive wounds on his hands. Indicating that he probably knew his killer." She continued as she knelt over and thoroughly examined Byrne's body: as she noted the single gunshot wound to his forehead, which she identified as the cause of death and the lack of defensive wounds on Byrne's hands; which showed that he didn't put up any form of struggle.

"Hmm, the shell casing next to the body is a .50AE , which is commonly used by a Desert Eagle. But the shell casing isn't from a standard bullet. Forensic analysis identifies this particular bullet as a hollow point: which is designed to expand upon impact once fired." Catwoman stated as she glanced towards the discarded shell casing and identified it as a .50 caliber bullet and what handgun it belonged whilst noting on how the casing was from a hollow point instead from an ordinary bullet before turning her attention to the small pool of blood that was several feet away from Byrne's body.

"Huh...this pool of blood is separated from the rest. But it doesn't belong to Byrne. Forensic analysis says that Byrne was O- whilst the blood from the separate pool is B. Which means this blood is from a different person...maybe one of the men whose part of Vogel's new crew?" She continued as she turned her attention to the separate blood splatter on the floor and after analyzing it, the results showed that the blood came from another individual, which the cat masked vigilante fairly guessed must've came from a member of Vogel's current crew before walking towards the cargo van and opening the back doors...with her eyes widening in deep surprise once she saw the arsenal that Byrne had stored in his van: as the walls were converted into racks, that were carrying H G36K/GE6c assault rifles outfitted with Beta-C drum magazines, AK-103's outfitted with 75 round drum magazines, FN P90 submachine guns, Street Sweeper and Armsel Striker shotguns and lastly FN Five-Seven and Desert Eagle handguns!

'Goddamn...I've got to hand it to Byrne; even though he was a criminal who dealt in illegal firearms, he had a good taste in weapons.'Selina mentally stated as she greatly surprised by the types of weapons that Byrne dealt in and sold to various gangs/criminal organizations throughout Gotham!

"Hmph, Byrne certainly knew what he was doing: he filed off the serial numbers on all these weapons...so there's no way for the police to trace them back to wherever he got them." Catwoman softly muttered as she grabbed for and examined one of the H assault rifles and instinctively noted on how the serial number etched across the barrel was filed off, along with the other weapons in the back of the cargo van.

"FN P90 submachine guns? Oh, no...the bullets they fire are designed to penetrate body armor. Which means...any cop that tries to stop Vogel and his crew are easy game." She softly stated as she reached for one of the handheld compact submachine guns...and her eyes slightly widened in shock and horror: as she instinctively knew that the 5.7mm rounds they carried/fired were designed to penetrate any type of body armor...which meant the ballistic vests the GCPD carried were useless against the deadly weapon Vogel had in his possession!

"Huh, there are two different sets of fingerprints all over the interior and exterior of the van...and luckily for me, the two morons whom left them are in the system. The first set of fingerprints belong to a Dean Younger and the second set belongs to a Ramon Alfaro. Huh, that's interesting...Younger and Alfaro both have the same occupation and employer: they work as stevedores here at...Dixon Docks." Catwoman stated as she noticed the fingerprints all over the van and luckily for her: it didn't take her too long to identify the two men working alongside Vogel: Dean Younger and Ramon Alfaro and also made a rather shocking discovery...as both men worked as longshoremen at Dixon Docks!

'So that's how they pulled off the armored car robbery: Younger and Alfaro must've told Vogel about the shipment of the money coming in to the port. They also must've provided him the time of the arrival of the armored car, the route from the docks to the bank, everything.'Selina mentally stated as she soon realized that the armored car heist was in fact an inside job: as Alfaro and Younger provided Vogel all the information they'd need to hijack the armored car and make off with the 5 million!

Although, before Catwoman could speak into her wrist computer and inform night on what she found...she swiftly glanced over her shoulder, as she heard two sets of footsteps echoing out and advancing towards the warehouse. But before the doors were pushed open, the cat masked vigilante swiftly drew out and lassoed her whip around one of the sturdy beams, where she rappelled herself upward and acrobatically landed safely on top of the beam and glanced back to the ground...where she witnessed Det. Montoya entering the warehouse with her new partner right behind her.

"How the hell did we beat the other unis here?" Sheridan asked while glancing around, as he was genuine surprised at how he and Montoya managed to be the only ones at the murder scene.

"The other units were busy pursing some crazy woman riding her motorcycle at an unsafe speed throughout the city." Renee softly answered as she pointed out to her partner of the reports that Dispatched had announced through their car radio: how several patrol cars had attempted to apprehend some 'lunatic' riding her motorcycle at an illegal speed throughout Gotham, who 'unfortunately' managed to outrun their fellow cops.

"So how do you want to work this? Process the scene whist we wait for the coroner?" Eric softly asked while slipping on a pair of latex gloves.

"Sounds like a plan. Although...I'm pretty sure we're not alone." Montoya answered as she instinctively agreed with her partner's train of thought...whilst cryptically stating on how they weren't the only ones in the warehouse as they assumed while slowly drawing out her police issued 4th Generation Glock 17 handgun.

"What do you mean?" Sheridan asked as he was initially surprised by his partner's cryptic answer...before noting on how she rested her hand on her holster, ready to drew her handgun out and he immediately followed her lead as he got ready to draw out his own Glock.

"...Someone else was just here processing the scene." Renee answered as she informed Eric that somebody had processed the murder before they arrived...and they were completely unaware of a certain anti-heroine whom glancing down on them from the safety of her perch before she silently climbed down a few feet behind them.

After they heard the feint but still audible 'thump' behind them, Montoya and her partner swiftly turned around with their Glock handguns drawn out...even though the Dominican female detective slowly lowered her service pistol down as she stared in surprise at the mere sight of the cat masked vigilante.

"...Catwoman?" Renee softly asked.

"Hello Detective Montoya." Catwoman softly replied in return whilst Det. Sheridan looked on in complete bafflement.

"Renee? You know this woman?" Eric asked with his Glock still drawn out as he was completely caught off guard and curious to how his partner and the cat masked vigilante knew each other.

"Unfortunately, me and entire GCPD know her. Det. Sheridan...this is Selina Kyle aka Catwoman; a master thief whose wanted by every law enforcement around the globe." Montoya answered while sighing softly as she revealed to Eric that she indeed knew Catwoman; due to their paths crossing numerous times and how she and her colleagues attempted to arrest her in the past.

"Not to mention a partial ally to certain Caped Crusader and GCPD, since I helped Batman in saving several of your fellow cops asses whenever they bit off more than they could chew...at least whenever it was convenient for me." Catwoman added dryly and sarcastically as she revealed to Renee's partner on how she was also a crime fighter and an on/off ally to both Batman and the GCPD in the past.

"Oh, really?" Sheridan softly asked with raised eye brows after hearing Catwoman stating that she was also a vigilante.

'Hmm...so this city also has a cat masked master thief whom moonlights as a crime fighter. Who would've thought?'The brunette mentally stated while chuckling softly to himself.

"What's so funny Sheridan?" Renee asked as she and Catwoman turned to her partner.

"Nothing. She just reminds me of someone I know from the Big Apple is all." Eric answered casually, stating on how Catwoman simply reminded him another cat masked thief/vigilante that he and the rest of the NYPD, along with Spider-Man had a history with.

"Heh, I think I like your partner. He's kinda cute." Catwoman stated casually with a small snicker as she playfully referred to the brunette detective 'cute'.

"Ohh please." Renee softly muttered while rolling her eyes and throwing her arms up as she couldn't believe that Selina was actually flirting/hitting on her new partner.

"Just what are you doing here Catwoman?" She bluntly added, demanding to know what the cat masked vigilante was even doing at the warehouse, which also happened to be their crime scene.

"The same as you and your partner. I'm looking into the robbery crew that pulled off that armored car heist." Catwoman answered, stating that she was after Vogel and his crew just like Montoya and her new partner...much to their deep surprise.

"...You're after the robbery crew?" Sheridan asked as he and Renee turned to each other with perplexed expressions after hearing that truly unexpected revelation: how the cat masked vigilante was after the same robbery crew as them!

"Wait a second, Catwoman...why are you after this crew?" The last time I checked, being an actual hero and protecting innocent people wasn't on your resume." Montoya asked, demanding to know why Selina was looking into Vogel and his crew whilst pointing out on how she never cared about anyone but herself.

"...I'm simply honoring a promise...to an old friend that you and I shared Montoya." Catwoman answered, stating that she was keeping a promise she made a certain 'acquaintance' that the female homicide detective and the GCPD knew all too well.

"...(Sigh) Batman." Renee stated while giving a soft sigh as she instinctively knew who the 'friend' that Selina spoke of was.

"That's right. We all know that Gotham won't last long now that Batman is gone and more importantly...this city doesn't need a thief looking out for #1. It needs a guardian." Catwoman replied while pointing out to Montoya and her partner on how Gotham would go back to being the way it was before Bruce Wayne decided to start his crusade as the Dark Knight...and solemnly stated on how the city needed a new protector.

"And besides...I already know the identity of the three men who hijacked the armored car." The cat masked vigilante added, as she informed the two homicide detectives that she knew the names of the men in the robbery crew!

"Who are they?" Sheridan asked.

"Two of the robbers are locals: Dean Younger and Ramon Alfaro. They work here at the docks as longshoremen. The third robber is a violent career criminal from Detroit: Bryan Darius Vogel." Catwoman answered as she revealed the identities of the robbers to the brunette detective, whom wrote down the information in his personal notepad.

"And this man?" Montoya asked while gesturing to the body of the deceased gun dealer laying on the floor.

"Your murder victim's name is Kieran Byrne: a freelance gun dealer. If I had to guess, Vogel and his crew met with Byrne right here in this warehouse to purchase new guns for another job...only Vogel had no intention of paying." Catwoman answered as she revealed to the two detectives on how the deceased victim was a freelance black arms dealer named Kieran Byrne and fairly guessed on what happened at the warehouse before either of them arrived: how Vogel reached out to Byrne to purchase fresh guns for a new job that he and his crew had lined up...and how the coldblooded bank robber had shot and killed Byrne shortly after he showed him the weapons he planned to sell them.

"Alright, we'll take it from here. You should go before the rest of the GCPD arrive." Renee stated as thanked Catwoman for the information whilst advising her to flee before any other units acting as their backup arrived and tried to arrest her.

"Tsk. You think you, your partner and the GCPD can handle a man like Vogel? I'd hate to break it to you detective, but you can't." Selina countered while scoffing and informing the Dominican detective that she, Sheridan and the rest of their fellow cops were ill-prepared for whatever Vogel had planned.

"What do you mean?" Sheridan asked.

"Before he died, Byrne sold Vogel and his crew three Desert Eagles outfitted with hollow point bullets, two Street Sweeper combat shotguns and an FN P90." The cat masked vigilante answered as she warned the two detectives about the weapons that Byrne had 'sold' to Vogel, Younger and Alfaro.

"Ohh, my God/Ohh, sweet Jesus..." Renee and Eric softly stated while turning to each other, equally shocked after hearing the kind of weapons Byrne had 'provided' to Vogel and his associates!

"Yeah, and there are a few boxes of ammo missing from the back of the van." Catwoman added as she informed Montoya and Sheridan on how Vogel and his crew also took plenty of ammo for the weapons that they 'bought' from Byrne.

"So we're dealing with three assholes armed with high caliber handguns, shotgun and a submachine gun that fires bullets designed to penetrate body armor. These guys are hardcore." Sheridan softly muttered underneath his breath after learning how extremely dangerous Vogel and his crew were, which was the exact moment his and Montoya's police issued hand radios started crackling.

"Attention all units! Attention all units! Please respond." The police dispatcher cried out.

"Dispatch, this is Montoya speaking. Over." Renee stated as she reached for and spoke into her radio with Catwoman listening in silence.

"Copy Det. Montoya. I have orders from Commissioner Yindel. She needs you, Det. Sheridan and any nearby patrol officers to respond to a 211 at Gotham National Bank. Three armed masked men have opened fire and taken hostages. SWAT is enroute and will meet you and Sheridan there in fifteen minutes." The police dispatcher replied as she informed Montoya and her partner about a bank robbery turned hostage situation currently taking place at Gotham National.

"...That's got to be them. It's got to be." Sheridan stated as he strongly felt that the robbers committing the bank robbery were Vogel and his crew with Renee nodding in agreement.

Although, as soon as they turned back to speak to Catwoman...their eyes widened in surprise: as she was no longer in the warehouse!

"What the...? Where'd she go?" Sheridan asked as he was genuinely surprised at how the cat masked vigilante 'mysteriously' vanished.

"...(Sigh) I think I know." Renee softly answered while giving a deep sigh as she immediately knew where Catwoman was headed before she and her partner exited the warehouse, climbed into her car and drove off to Gotham National Bank.

~Meanwhile at the Financial District~

A medium sized army of GCPD officers were stationed a few meters outside of Gotham National Bank: as several patrol officers were setting up a containment while the GCPD's SWAT team, whom were gathered beside the Lenco BearCat they drove/rode in and discussing their options in entering the bank without alerting Vogel and his crew. As the cops were securing the crime scene and keeping the mob of TV/news reporters, whom had also learned of the bank robbery from interfering that was when Montoya and Sheridan eventually arrived on the scene and stepped out of her car.

"Ohh Montoya. You and Sheridan made it." One of the patrols officers, an Asian-American woman stated as she greeted the Dominican detective and her newly assigned partner.

"Chen, what's the situation?" Renee stated as she greeted the female patrol officer, whom she and their colleagues knew as Off. Amelia Chen and asked on what was currently going on in the bank as she and Eric walked towards the command post their fellow officers had set up.

"It's a complete nightmare. Three armed suspects, one armed with a machinegun and two armed with semi-auto shotguns entered the bank, opened fire and ordered the tellers to empty the registers. The security guard attempted to go for his gun, but the robber with the machinegun shot him before he could even get a shot off." Off. Chen answered truthfully as she explained the situation to the two detectives: how Vogel and his crew had casually walked in the bank, drew out their guns and ordered the tellers to hand over the money they kept in their assigned work stations...and how the robber armed with a FN P90 shot and killed the security guard.

"How many people are still in the bank?" Sheridan asked, wondering on how many civilians Vogel and his crew were holding captive.

"Counting the four tellers, the bank manager and six civilians...11 hostages in total." Chen answered as she informed Montoya and Sheridan on how Vogel, Younger and Alfaro had taken 11 people hostage as they walked up the SWAT officers.

"Whose the commanding officer in charge?" Montoya asked.

"I am. Lt. Carl Mullins." One of the SWAT officers, a man in his mid to late 40's answered while offering Montoya a hand to shake, which she accepted before turning to Sheridan.

"What's your plan of attack Lieutenant?" Eric asked, wondering on what SWAT's plan of sneaking into the bank and rescuing the hostages was.

"My team and I still going over the blueprints and I'm pretty sure we just found our way in. I'll have four of my best men to climb up to the roof, where they can sneak into the bank through the vents and..." Lt. Mullins answered answered professionally, stating on how he would send a small squad of his officers to enter the bank through the roof...before stopping in mid-sentence: as he, Montoya, Sheridan and the rest of the police officers, along with the reporters heard multiple gunshots and several screams coming from inside the bank!

"Ohh, my God! Those bastards are shooting the hostages!" Off. Chen cried out in horror as she naturally assumed that Vogel and his crew were executing the civilians they were holding captive!

"Ohh, fuck it! Everyone, move your asses! We're moving in now!" Mullins exclaimed as he turned to his fellow SWAT officers, informing them that they were entering the bank right away!

"Yes sir!" The other SWAT officers cried out in unison as they readied their weapons and got into a single file formation as they approached the bank.

Although, unknown to the Montoya, Sheridan and the rest of the GCPD...they were completely unaware of what had happened inside the bank before they breached.

~Meanwhile, a few minutes later inside the bank~

As the GCPD were busy setting up containment and forming a plan of rescuing the hostages, Vogel simply chuckled with a smug smirk on his face as he glanced out through the glass door with the FN P90 in his hands before stepping away and walking towards the center of the main lobby; where Alfaro was sitting as relaxed as he could on one of the desks with his Street Sweeper shotgun resting on his knees whilst Younger was pacing back and forth nervously with the fingers to his right fidgeting near his lips and holding his Street Sweeper in his left...which were both covered in blood.

"Dean, please sit down. You're making me nervous." Alfaro stated as asked his friend and fellow bank robber to quit his pacing whilst glancing over his shoulder to the manager's office: where the manager himself and the other ten hostages were sitting on the floor, with their wrists bound in zip ties and gagged with white clothes tied around their mouths to keep them from crying out for help.

"And stop your fuckin' fidgeting, you pansy! There's nothing to even worry about." Vogel added darkly whilst scoffing in annoyance as he ordered Younger to stop rubbing the tips of fingers near his lips, which he found annoying.

"Nothing to worry about? Nothing to worry about?! You put us in this situation, you stupid asshole!" Younger countered with an extremely pissed off look on his face as he and Alfaro glanced back to their so called 'leader' whilst blaming him for their current situation!

"...Watch yourself Younger." Vogel stated plainly and darkly as he ordered Younger to mind his place like he warned him earlier back at the warehouse.

"Hey Dean, c'mon. Just take it easy..." Alfaro added as he attempted to calm his friend down...even though he couldn't blame him for being upset: as he was equally distraught by what Vogel had done not too long ago.

"...Take it easy? Are you kidding me Ramon?! Vogel killed that security guard!" Younger countered as he reminded his friend and fellow robber on how Vogel had shot and killed a security guard, whose body was laying on the marble tile floor several feet away from the manager's office and covered in a light blue and blood stained sheet.

"Tsk. I did what I had to." Vogel stated plainly while scoffing in disgust.

"No you didn't, you son of a bitch! Alfaro and I had the entire thing under control! The guard dropped his weapon and was unarmed! You didn't have to shoot him!" Younger angrily countered as he walked up towards Vogel and grabbed him by his shirt as he pointed out on how he and Alfaro had 'persuaded' the guard, whom was in fact a 55 year old man into surrendering and forfeiting his revolver; due to simply threatening him with their high powered shotguns...and couldn't help but stare in horror: as Vogel coldly fired a small burst of rounds right through his chest and how Dean had attempted to keep the guard alive by performing CPR, which was sadly to no avail...as the middle aged man bled out and died right in front of them!

"...And your point is?" Vogel asked darkly and sarcastically with a bored look on his face...which deeply appalled both Alfaro and Younger, whom released his hold of the latter's shirt and backed away.

"...What the hell kind of man are you?" Alfaro asked as he and Younger looked at the dark haired brunette with deeply shocked/horrified expressions on their faces.

"...The kind you two idiots don't want to fuck with." Vogel answered plainly with a dark grin...as he raised up and aimed the barrel of P90 directly at Younger's face with the reddish blonde and Hispanic man staring in horror!

"I warned you not to step up to me again Dean, but you wouldn't lis..." He coldly continued, before stopping in mid-sentence...as something truly unexpected happened: all the lights to the chandeliers dangling from the ceiling 'mysteriously' died out, leaving the room completely dark.

"Hey! What happened to the power?" Alfaro asked as he, Younger and Vogel stared deeply stunned/surprised to the lights suddenly dying out on them...and seeing a shadowy silhouette swiftly running past them.

"What was that?!" Younger exclaimed as he and Alfaro swiftly raised their Street Sweeper shotguns in alarm.

"Whose there?" Vogel demanded as he glanced around the lobby with his finger resting calmly on the trigger of his P90 submachine gun...and was completely unaware of a certain cat masked vigilante, whom was looking down at him and his associates from the 2nd floor railing she was perched on.

"Bryan Vogel, it's time to pay for you crimes." Catwoman answered with her voice echoing out across the lobby, before reaching behind her back and drawing out her grapple gun as she silently 'flew' over to the parallel balcony with her shadow flying over the lobby floor...which deeply startled Alfaro and Younger as they glanced around nervously.

"Whose there?! Show yourself!" Vogel exclaimed once again after he and his associates witnessed the mysterious shadow 'flying' above them!

"...Now where's the fun in that?" Catwoman casually countered while kneeling on the railing she perched on with an amused grin on her face, as she witnessed Vogel, Younger and Alfaro glancing around frantically in all directions with their weapons at the ready.

"I ain't in the mood to be playing games bitch! Show yourself or me and my associates will start shooting hostages!" Vogel angrily shouted in return as he ordered the cat masked vigilante to show herself whilst threatening to shoot the hostages if she continued to play games!

"Wait, what?!" Younger exclaimed as he and Alfaro turned back to the dark haired brunette with shock filled eyes once they truly unsettling words exited his mouth!

"You can't be serious! We're not shooting anybody!" The Hispanic robber added in agreement with his friend/cohort, especially since they never wanted to harm or kill innocent people!

"Do I look like I'm fuckin' kidding you two morons?! Unless you two useless pussacks want to eat a bullet, do what I..." Vogel snarled with an extremely agitated glare on his face as he turned back to Younger and Alfaro, as he grew tired of their habit of talking back to him and threatened to shoot them himself before he was unexpectedly and ultimately cut off.

"That's right Bryan. Go ahead and stab your partners in the back...just like your old crew." Catwoman stated with a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she 'encouraged' Vogel to go through with his threat...whilst cryptically revealing the murder of his previous crew!

"...What?" Younger asked with deeply shocked eyes.

"Ohh, I see Dean. You and Ramon don't know." Catwoman continued while calling out from the shadows and showing that she knew both Younger's and Alfaro's first names.

"Don't know what? What's she talking about?" Alfaro demanded as he and the reddish blonde turned back to Vogel.

"It's...It's nothing." Vogel replied while attempting to keep his composure and claiming that he had 'no idea' what the cat masked vigilante was talking about.

"Before Bryan ever arrived to Gotham, he and two other career criminals had pulled off a series of bank robberies across the country. But one week after Vogel and his crew robbed a federal reserve in Miami, two men were found dead, killed execution style in a public park in Atlanta. Who do you and Ramon think those men were?" Catwoman answered as she revealed to Younger and Alfaro on how Vogel had led a previous crew with two other men, both of whom were veteran bank robbers and one week after they had robbed a bank in Miami the two men were found murdered in a park in Atlanta with Dean's and Ramon's eyes widening in complete horror...as they immediately knew whom the two deceased men were: Vogel's previous partners!

"...Is that true?" Younger asked as he and Alfaro turned back to an emotionless Vogel, whom simply looked at them with dead eyes.

"Were you going to kill us too?" Ramon added, demanding to know if Vogel planned on murdering him and Dean just like he killed Byrne and his previous partners...and were completely unaware of Catwoman, whom once again silent rappelled to a different balcony on the 2nd floor of the bank and couldn't help but smirk as she glanced to the ground floor...which swiftly turned into a look of horror to what she just witnessed.

"...Yeah. It's true. Hudson and Broussard served their purpose...just like you two asswipes. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy yours and Dean's company Ramon...but you two never did know when to shut up." Vogel answered bluntly while shrugging casually and showing absolutely no remorse for murdering his two previous partners...and smiled darkly as swapped his P90 for his Desert Eagle and before either of them could even react, he fired a single hollow point round that passed right Younger's left leg, right above the kneecap!

"AHH! AHHHAHHH! Dean cried out in sheer pain as he felt the bullet passing right through his leg and immediately collapsed to the floor while dropping his Street Sweeper and clutching his hands tightly around his heavily bleeding leg!

"Ohh, my God! Dean!" Alfaro cried out in horror as threw his Street Sweeper to the ground and knelt down beside his friend, whom was screaming and writhing in sheer agony.

"AHHH, GOD MY LEG!" Younger cried out with tears building in the corner of his eyes as he cradled his bleeding and blood covered leg whilst glancing up, along with Ramon to see Vogel stepping forward with the Desert Eagle in his right hand pointed right at them.

"Lights out, gentle..." Vogel started off while smiling darkly with his finger seconds away from pressing down on the trigger...before crying out in shock: as a mysterious force pounced down on him and knocked him to the floor!

After the initial tackle, Vogel had slowly picked himself up from the floor with the Desert Eagle still in his right hand and as he turned around to face whoever it was that blindsided and knocked him to the floor...he stared and slightly trembled in genuine shock/horror: as he was greeted by a rather intimidating glare that Catwoman had on her mask covered face. Before Vogel could even react from the initial shock, he merely let out a loud collection of groans: as Catwoman landed a swift inside kick to the mid-section of his chest/stomach, which knocked the wind out of him, followed by a strong right hook to his face, followed by an uppercut and the last blow she landed was a right spinning heel kick, which connected with his face and knocked him off his feet: as he landed hard on his back and before he could even defend himself...Catwoman landed a swift and powerful punch to his face, which rendered him unconscious!

"Have fun in Blackgate, asshole." Catwoman stated plainly while scoffing in disgust at what a pushover Vogel ended up being; as he didn't even bother to put up a fight before standing up and glancing to Alfaro, whom held Younger in his arms as he continued to grimace/groan out in pain.

"No, please. Please, miss. We didn't shoot the security guard or kill that man back in the warehouse! That was all Vogel!" Alfaro cried out as he begged the cat masked vigilante not to hurt him or Younger whilst claiming on how neither of them killed Byrne or the bank security guard.

"...I know. I know neither of you killed anyone. If you agree to testify against Vogel in open court...maybe your lawyers can argue for a lesser sentence." Catwoman replied, showing that she was fully aware that the Hispanic man and reddish blonde didn't murder anyone and stated that if they agreed to testify against Vogel that their lawyers could work out a deal with the District Attorney's office.

"...We never meant for things to get this far. Ramon and I...we...our boss at the docks deducted half our paychecks for some illegal immigrants who hardly had any experience operating the heavy machinery and transporting the cargo from the ships to the docks! We just...(pant, pant) we just wanted what was fair!" Dean stated while wincing in pain, claiming that he and Alfaro never wanted to hurt anyone and the reason they teamed up with a 'man' like Vogel was because they hated their boss at Dixon Docks: as he had the nerve of garnishing their paychecks and giving half of their pay to two illegal immigrants whom he hired as cheap labor and felt that they deserved more.

"...Look. I get it. You both felt undervalued and had every right to be pissed at your boss. But what the two of you did is not alright...and you're going to have to pay for it." Selina stated plainly, showing that she completely understood Younger's and Alfaro's reasons for teaming up with a monster like Vogel: as they simply wanted to get back at their boss for screwing them of their hard-earned money...and how they'd have to pay for their mistakes whilst walking towards one of the desks, where she reached for a pen and swiftly wrote something down on the front page of a 4x6 notepad that she cleanly tore off and handed to Ramon.

"Hand that to Det. Montoya and her partner, Det. Sheridan. They'll know who I am." She swiftly stated before glancing over her shoulder, as she heard numerous voices shouting and multiple footsteps echoing out as she fairly guessed the GCPD were preparing to breach...and drew out her rappel gun, where she fired a line and rode it straight up to the skyline...which was the exact moment the front doors to the bank were forcefully kicked open and the GCPD and their SWAT team stormed inside.

"Gotham City Police!" Det. Montoya cried out as she identified herself as a cop.

"GCPD!" Det. Sheridan cried out after his partner, along with Sgt. Mullins and his fellow SWAT officers who announced themselves as police officers.

Although, as soon as they stormed in...Montoya, Sheridan, Mullins and rest of the cops stared in deep surprise: as they found Vogel knocked unconsciousness, Younger laying on the ground, groaning in pain as he held his bleeding leg and Alfaro kneeling over him.

"What the...?" Sheridan muttered as he, Mullins and half of the officers with them turned to each other, deeply bewildered to what they just found.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot! We give surrender, okay?" Alfaro cried out as he immediately raised both his hands, claiming that he and Younger gave up with the reddish blonde weakly nodding in agreement.

"Dispatch, this is Det. Montoya, badge #2793. The hostage situation at Gotham National Bank has been handled: all three suspects have been detained. Roll an ambo to effective immediately, one of the suspects has sustained a GSW to the left leg and is bleeding heavily." Renee stated as she reached for and spoke into her radio, informing the police dispatcher that the hostage situation at Gotham National was over without any casualties and that one of their suspects, Dean Younger was in need of medical attention; due to the gunshot wound he received from Vogel.

"Understood Detective. The ambulance will be arriving on scene in approximately 10-15 minutes." The dispatcher replied, stating on how the ambulance would be Gotham National in 10 to 15 minutes.

"Roger Dispatch." Montoya replied.

"Where are the hostages?" Sheridan asked, demanding to know where the people that Vogel, Younger and Alfaro took captive were being held as he slapped the handcuffs on the dark brown haired bank robber, whom slowly came to and motioned for two police officers to step forward, who took escorted Vogel out of the bank.

"The...The manager's office." Younger answered while pointing to the manager's office, which was far back in the lobby.

"Wilson, Harris, Garcia. Go check." Lt. Mullins stated while turning to three of his men, ordering them to check the manager's office.

"Yes, sir." The three SWAT officers replied in unison as they did as Mullins commanded.

"You said you're name is Montoya?" Alfaro softly asked.

"Yes, that's right. I'm Det. Montoya." Renee answered with a firm nod.

"The...woman who took down Vogel told me to give this to you and your partner." The Hispanic man stated as he handed the Dominican detective the piece of paper Catwoman had handed him.

"Woman? What woman?" Sheridan asked...even though he and Renee had a strong feeling they knew whom it was that Alfaro was referring to.

"She...didn't say. Just that the two of you would know her." Alfaro answered truthfully as Lt. Mullins personally slapped the handcuffs on him and walked him out of the bank.

As Mullins and Alfaro stepped out of the bank, Montoya and Sheridan mentally read the note address to them...and couldn't help but smirk/chuckle once they saw what the message said.

'Detectives, you should expect to receive a package addressed to you at the PD in a few days. See you around. ~ From a friend. P.S. - I truly hope that this act proves that someone like me can change.'Renee mentally stated as she and Eric read the contents, which was a message from Catwoman: informing them on how they would be receiving a 'package' from her in a few days.

"I'd say this definitely qualifies. Don't you think Renee?" Sheridan stated as he was strongly felt that Selina putting an end to Vogel's crime spree and rescuing the bank hostages proved that she had indeed changed and was no longer the selfish master thief she once was before the Arkham Knight/Scarecrow incident.

"...I'd say Gotham is in perfectly good hands with its new hero." Renee replied, showing that she agreed with her partner and was just as convinced that Catwoman had turned over a new leaf before they entered the manager's office and assisted the SWAT officers in untying the hostages wrists and removing the gags from their mouths so they could speak.

~Meanwhile, back at the Belfry~

After departing from Gotham National Bank and skillfully avoiding being spotted by the remaining cops and TV/news reporters whom were shooting footage from outside the bank, Catwoman had rode her motorcycle through the city streets back to the Belfry and rode the elevator to the top floor of her new HQ and soon to be home.

"Ahh Selina, welcome back."Night stated as she greeted the raven haired woman, who removed the cowl covering her face as she stepped off the elevator.

"Thank you Night." Selina replied with a genuine smile on her face.

"So...how did you first night as Gotham's new hero go?"The female AI asked in a 'playful' tone, wondering on how Catwoman liked her new role as Gotham's new protector.

"It couldn't have gone better. I think...I think I'm going to enjoy this: my new life as Batman's successor." Selina answered truthfully with the soft smile on her face as she deeply enjoyed every second of her role as Gotham's new hero and strongly realized that Bruce's mission, which was now her mission was worth fighting for.

"That's good to hear Selina. Bruce would be proud of you."Night softly replied while informing the raven haired woman on how Bruce would be proud of her: for taking up the mantle of Gotham's new guardian.

"Thank you Night. Is there any other criminal activity going on in the city?" Selina stated with a soft grin, as she deeply appreciated Night's kind words and asked if there were any streets crimes going on throughout Gotham.

"Funny thing you should ask...because I'm picking up chatter about a suspected drug deal taking place at the Coventry right now."Night answered as she informed Catwoman on how she had picked up police chatter about a drug deal taking place at Coventry.

"I'm on my way." Selina replied with a bright smirk on her face as she slipped her cowl back on and headed back down, where she mounted on her motorcycle and rode off at highspeed.

A/N: There is it everyone, the 2nd chapter to my Catwoman/Black Cat crossover as promised! I would like to deeply apologize to my loyal fans and fellow Fanfic authors for the long wait. I had to really think outside the box for this chapter...plus, it ended up being close to 18,000 words long. The longest chapter I ever published thus far! I also know that I promised to introduce Felica/Black Cat in the 2nd chapter...but I wanted to simply focus on Selina capturing Vogel and his crew and forming an alliance with Renee Montoya and her new partner, my OC. Selina and Felicia will meet and team up together in upcoming 3rd chapter. I promise. Until next time, bye.
