Chapter 2: Another Cat in Town Pt. 1

~Meanwhile at the Diamond District~

It was currently midnight as the full moon illuminated over the city of Gotham and beamed over a high-rise apartment building, that belonged to a wealthy businessman known as Benjamin Theodore Maddox; whom was well connected in the diamond/high end jewelry industry. Meanwhile, in the penthouse on the top floor of the high rise was a medium sized team of 6-8 security guards, all wearing identical Hugo Boss business suits and white/blood red shirts, whom had taken up posts in different sections of the luxury apartment: with three in the living room, two in the main office, two roaming the adjacent halls and one on the outdoor patio in rear of the penthouse.

"Nelson, this is Phillips. You copy?" The head security guard, whom was stationed in the living room asked while speaking into his Bluetooth ear radio.

"Yeah, I hear you Phillips. Over." The security guard standing sentry on the patio, known simply as Nelson answered as he informed his boss that he heard him perfectly.

"How are things outside?" The head security guard, known simply as Phillips asked again while walking into the kitchen while the other two guards simply sat comfortably on the luxury four seated sofa they were sitting on and leaned back as they turned on the TV and watched the beginning of the 1989 science-fiction film The Abyss.

"It's all quiet out here. Except for a few planes flying overhead." Nelson answered plainly as he informed Phillips on how the patio was secure whilst glancing up to the star filled sky just in time to witness a commercial Boeing 727 flying overhead as it no doubtingly departed from Gotham International Airport.

"You want Pryce or Ramos to switch with you?" Phillips asked as he could tell from the sarcastic tone in his voice that Nelson was bored and offered to have one the guards stationed in the main office; Ramos or Pryce to trade places with him.

"No, it's fine. I don't mind." Nelson answered, claiming that he didn't mind being out in the patio...and was completely unaware of a shadow silhouette that had silently scaled up the side of the high rise and climbed onto the roof of the penthouse.

"Alright, but if ever want to come inside for a break, let either Ramos or Pryce know so they can cover for you." Phillips replied while walking into the kitchen, where he went through the cupboard and took out a drinking glass that he filled with a small handful of ice and poured a shot of Clontare Irish Whiskey.

"Will do." Nelson stated before he and Phillips broke contact with each other and he continued to glance around the patio...and was oblivious to the shadowy figure, whom had been kneeling on the ledge of the roof and listening in on the conversation between the two security guards.

Although, as soon as Nelson had turned his back and walked towards the balcony to admire the view of the city...that was when the mysterious figure had silently leapt down from the roof without making a sound and crept up behind the man: where she swiftly wrapped her arms around his neck in the sleeper hold and forcefully pulled him to the floor as he attempted to break free whilst banging his feet against the wooden flooring...before suddenly stopping, due to blacking out and his arms falling to his sides. Once he was unconscious, the mysterious figure gently laid Nelson on the floor on his side and slowly picked herself up with the bright light from the moon illuminating over her: revealing a rather young and beautiful Caucasian woman in her late 20's, 5'10'' with long platinum white-blondish hair tied in bridal ponytail and wearing a tight black leather catsuit with white accents, black goggles and gloves.

'Sleep tight.'The mysterious woman, whom was in fact Felicia Harding aka Black Cat; a master thief and vigilante from New York City mentally stated with a playful smirk on her face as she glanced down to the guard she just rendered unconscious without much effort.

Shortly after the first guard had been taken care of, Black Cat just as easily and stealthily opened the glass sliding doors and stepped inside the penthouse while crouching down to avoid being spotted by the other guards stationed inside. Although, once inside, the blonde-white haired woman swiftly ducked behind the right wall, as she heard footsteps approaching and caught a small glimpse of an African-American man exiting from an adjacent bedroom.

"Hey Pryce, have you or Ramos heard from Nelson?" The dark skinned man asked over his ear radio, curious if either Pryce or his partner heard from the guard standing sentry on the outdoor patio.

"No. But Phillips just checked in on him a minute ago. Why?" Pryce answered.

"I though I heard a commotion coming from the patio." The African American guard answered, stating the reason why he asked was because of a noise he heard coming from the back of the penthouse.

"You want me or Ramos to check it out with you?" Pryce asked while offering his help in investigating the 'strange noise'.

"Nah. I can handle it. Besides, it's probably just Nelson tripping over one of the chairs." The African American security guard replied while fairly guessing that the noise he heard was no doubtingly just Nelson 'knocking over a chair' as he walked down the corridor...and was completely unaware of a certain thief, whom was hiding behind the wall with a sly grin on her face as she waited for the right moment to pounce.

"Alright, just remember to keep your radio on and shout out if you see something suspicious Johnson." Pryce stated.

"Heh, roger that." The African American man, known as Johnson replied as he and his fellow colleague broke contact.

Although, as soon as Johnson and Pryce broke contact with each other and he was inches away from the corner...the unlucky security guard cried out in surprise: as Black Cat swiftly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and slammed him against the wall and landed a swift knife-hand strike to his throat, causing him to gasp for air before knocking him unconscious with a swift rear elbow to the face, which caused him to hit head and slowly slide to the floor with his back resting against the wall.

"Hey, what was that?" A male voice coming from one of the security guards in the living room asked as he, his fellow colleague and Phillips were watching the middle of The Abyss heard the commotion from the back of the penthouse.

"Nelson, what the hell's going on outside?" Phillips demanded as he contacted Nelson and was met with nothing but dead silence.

"Nelson, why aren't you responding? Nelson, come in!" Phillips continued as he called out for Nelson and was completely unaware that he was out cold on the wooden floor of the patio.

"Browning, go look for him." Phillips stated as he turned to the 2nd security guard sitting on the couch and ordered him to check on Nelson.

"...(Sigh) Alright." The guard, Browning stated while sighing in annoyance as he wanted to continue watching the film before slowly standing up from the couch and exiting the living room as he headed towards the back of the penthouse...only to stare and give a small cry of surprise: as Black Cat swiftly grabbed a hold of him with her arms/hands around his head, putting him in a headlock and after quickly rolling them over on the floor, she landed a swift kick to Browning's head that immediately knocked him unconscious!

After the first three guards were easily defeated, Black Cat made swift work of the remaining guards with one of her trademark gadgets: a customized stun grenade that released a bright flash of light, which stunned Phillips and his men and left them wide open as the blonde-white haired woman rendered them unconscious with lightning fast strikes they could barely block. Once all the guards had been disposed of, Black Cat knelt over Phillips, where she went through his pockets and took out what she had been searching for: a small folded up piece of paper that he carried in his right suit pocket.

"Thank you, sir. Enjoy your nap." Black Cat stated as she playfully thanked the unconscious security guard for 'providing' her what she needed and wished him a 'well deserved rest' before standing up straight.

As soon as she relieved Phillips of the piece of paper that Maddox no doubtingly entrusted him with, Black Cat headed straight to Maddox's personal bed room and after thoroughly searching the room and examining the walls and furniture, she eventually found what she was looking for: a Stalwart digital safe with a numerical keypad and after unfolding the piece of paper, she punched in the numbers which were in fact the combination to the safe; #04517. After she dialed the numbers, a wide smile slowly grew of Black Cat's face as the safe emitted a small 'beep' and she opened the door, where she spotted a grey stone leather parcel box resting inside. Once she reached inside the safe and took out the parcel, she opened it and smiled down at the content: the Demon's Eye; which was a 100k table cut pinkish red diamond.

"Hmmm, hello lovely." Black Cat softly stated as she reached into the parcel and took out the Demon's Eye, that she held in her hand and smiled softly as she admired the truly beautiful pinkish gemstone before she placed it back in the small handheld box.

Once she put the diamond back in the parcel and closed the box, the blonde-white haired woman exited the bedroom and went straight to the patio: where she climbed onto the ledge, casually turned around so she was facing the penthouse...before she leaned backwards and dove through the air with the wind rushing right past her and swiftly drew out her trademark grappling gun, where she fired a hook that automatically latched onto the ledge of a neighboring rooftop and naturally swung herself through the air while performing an aerial somersault before vanishing into the darkness.

~Meanwhile at Sheldon Park~

A single GCPD issued Hummer H2 was parked down a neighboring street with a four man team of plain clothes GCPD officers sitting inside while glancing at the two floor bungalow style house they were looking at.

"You sure this is the correct address?" One of the cops, a Caucasian man in his 30's with dark blondish hair in a short curly quiff hairstyle and light green eyes asked while turning to the cop; a Puerto Rican man also in his mid 40's with caramel brown eyes and oak brown hair in a buzzcut sitting behind the driver's seat.

"Yeah, this is the place. According to my guy, the dealer's we're after keep their money and product stashed in that house." The Puerto Rican cop answered as he explained to his fellow cops on how the house they were looking at was in fact a stash house that belonged to a gang of drug dealers.

"Any idea what to expect?" The cop sitting in the passenger seat asked while holding his badge in his hand and rubbing his thumb against the shield imprinted on the front.

"No. But we are dealing with dealers and most of them eventually get hooked on their own product. Which makes them dangerous." The Puerto Rican cop answered while pointing out a rather crucial fact: on how several drug dealers eventually fell victim to the poison they sold...which made them extremely paranoid and unpredictable.

"So how do you want to do this Ruiz?" The 3rd cop sitting in the back, another Caucasian man also in his 30's with black hair in a modern mullet hairstyle and cobalt blue eyes asked with the 4th male cop, a Korean-American with a red skin tone, goldish brown hair in a Korean Mullet hairstyle and grey stone eyes also in his 30's sitting in silence whilst glancing out the right backseat window.

"We'll approach the house and stack up for a breach. Henderson, you're with me. We'll take the left side of the house. Davies, you and Park take the right." The lead officer of the team, Det. Emilio Ruiz answered as he informed his fellow officers on how they would breach the house together and would separate into two teams: with the cop riding shotgun, Off. Alan Henderson partnered up with him while partnering the 3rd cop, Off. Anthony Davies and the 4th cop, Off. Jimmy Park together.

"Agreed?" Ruiz asked, demanding to know if his team were comfortable with the plan.

"Agreed." Henderson, Davies and Park answered together, showing that they agreed with their orders.

"Alright then...let's go." Ruiz stated plainly as he and his team unbuckled their seatbelts and exited the Hummer.

Once they stepped out of the Hummer, Ruiz and his fellow officers casually walked up the street while drawing out their issued Glock 17 handguns and approached the house with Ruiz and Henderson standing on the left side of the door and Davies and Park stacked up on the right side. Once they were in position to make entry, Davies raised his right leg up and kicked the door in, breaking the rusty door chain off the wall!

"GCPD!" Ruiz cried out as he stormed the stash house with Henderson, Davies and Park following right behind him with their Glocks at the ready: as they spotted four individuals; two Caucasian men and two African American men sitting on separate chairs and a three seater couch in the living room.

"Hey! What the?!" One of the men cried out as he and the other occupants glanced up and stared in surprise at the unexpected arrival of the Gotham City Police!

"Police! Raise you hands up!" Henderson cried out as he ordered the four men, whom were clearly drug dealers to raise their hands up as he, Ruiz, Davies and Park aimed their handguns at them.

"Hey! Don't even think about it!" Park barked out as he noticed one of the dealer's eyeing the two-tone Jericho 941 handgun laying flat on the table and instinctively knew he thought about going for it...which he fortunately didn't.

"Okay, now get down on your knees and place your hands behind your..." Ruiz stated as he ordered the four men, whom were glaring at him and his fellow cops to get down on their knees before he was ultimately cut off...as multiple gunshots unexpectedly erupted out from the 2nd floor and a hail bullets randomly shot out through the ceiling into the living room!

"Shit, hit the deck!" Ruiz cried out as he, Henderson, Davies and Park immediately ducked for cover while the four dealer immediately stood up from their seats and ran out of the living room and headed towards the back door, exiting the house!

"Davies, Park! After the suspects! Henderson, with me! We'll take the shooter!" Ruiz stated as he ordered Davies and Park to chase after the dealers while he and Henderson went after the 5th occupant of the stash house who opened fire on them.

"Right Emilio." Davies replied with Park nodding in agreement to their orders before they ran after the dealers.

"I'll take point." Henderson stated while turning around and heading back to the central stairwell that he, Ruiz, Park and Davies spotted the moment they breached the house.

"...Right behind you." Ruiz stated in a monotone tone...while secretly glancing to the Jericho 941 handgun and slipping on black leather glove over his hands.

As Davies and Park pursued the dealers, Henderson cautiously walked up the wooden steps, which gave off a light creaking sound from each step before the reached the 2nd floor and walked alongside the wall on the right side of the small corridor before stopping as he neared the 2nd bedroom, which was coincidentally closed and heard the unmistakable sound of frantic footsteps echoing out.

"Police! Drop your weapon and come out of there with your hands up!" Henderson cried out as he stacked up on the right side of the door and ordered the 5th shooter whom had sealed himself in the room to surrender!

"Fuck you pig!" A male voice defiantly cried out in return and Henderson immediately leaned back against the wall: as the shooter fired another burst of bullets that passed through the door and wall with small wood fragments flying around!

"(Tsk) Have it your way." Henderson replied while scoffing in annoyance before he collapsed to the floor, slightly turned to his right and fired a small burst of 6-7 bullets from his Glock, which also struck through the bullet ridden door...and heard a loud 'thump' echoing out from the opposite side of the room.

Once the shooting had ended, the blonde haired officer instinctively kicked the bullet ridden door wide open and spotted the fifth gunman: an African American man wearing a black beanie laying on the floor with four bullet wounds to his chest and an AKM assault rifle lying next to his right hand.

"Ruiz, I got him! The 5th suspect is down." Henderson cried out over his shoulder as he informed his team leader that the 5th dealer was neutralized while stepping forward to search the room...only to receive no answer in return, much to his surprise.

"Ruiz! Where are..." Henderson called out again before he was unfortunately and tragically cut off: as two gunshots echoed and Henderson's eyes widened in shock before his body went slump and he collapsed to the ground with blood oozing out and pooling around his body.

After the two gunshots, the man who shot and killed Henderson simply lowered his weapon, reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a police issued radio.

"10-33! 10-33! Officer down! Officer down at 472 Kilgore Drive!" The 'mysterious' man cried out in an 'frantic' tone as he informed Dispatch that there had been an officer involved shoot and a police officer had been gravely wounded and 'desperately' begged for 'help' before turning the radio off.

~Meanwhile at the Belfry~

Morning soon arrived with the sun beaming brightly and the citizens of Gotham were going about their daily lives. Meanwhile, inside her new personal HQ, Selena was sitting behind the workstation where she was working on her current project: her own personal Cryptographic Sequencer. Thanks to Bruce uploading the specs to his personal gadgets to the Batcomputer from the Batcave to the one in Belfry, which Selena christened Batcomputer 2.0 and Night's assistance, she successfully managed to create her own highly advanced decryption device: which would be able to bypass every security system, track radio signals and listen in to live broadcasts. And speaking of broadcasts, as she worked on the Sequencer, Selena had been listening to the beginning of Gotham's #1 and voted most popular radio talk show host: Vesper Fairchild on the FM portable radio she set up on the table.

"Good morning Gotham, your girl Vesper Fairchild here and do I have a searing hot topic to discuss with you." A young and perky female voice called out as she greeted the people of Gotham, whom deeply listening to her programs either on live TV or the radios.

"The topic of today is what's on everybody's mind: Catwoman's sudden change of heart! In the past several days, people have reported witnessing and filming Catwoman saving civilians from common street thugs and the Freaks, a vicious street gang whom view themselves as the 'children of the Joker'. I mean, everyone in this city knows Catwoman's history with the GCPD and Batman and are wondering what made her change from being a high profile thief/criminal who only thought of and cared about herself to a hero. Could this be some sort of penance to make up for her past crimes? Or is it for some other reason? And more to the point: do a few good deeds truly make her an actual hero?" Vesper stated as she announced the subject she wanted to discuss with the people: Catwoman's sudden change of heart whilst bringing up on how the cat masked vigilante had saved/rescued civilians while fighting random street crimes the last few days ever since taking down Vogel and saving the bank hostages and asked a rather crucial question...if her recent good deeds truly made her a hero before ending her program.

"Don't them let get to you Selina."Night automatically stated as she naturally attempted to cheer the raven haired woman up the moment Vesper ended her show.

"It's fine...Night. I'm not really interested in what the press thinks anyway." Selina softly stated with a gentle look on her face as she appreciated the AI's attempt to make her better after listening to Vesper questioning her reasons for choosing to take Bruce's/Batman's place as Gotham's new protector.

"What do you think of the job that Alfred did before he left?"Night asked, wondering on what Selina thought of the complete overhaul Alfred had given the Belfry: as the interior now had the appearance of a loft outfitted with luxurious decor and furniture consisting of a fully outfitted kitchen with a stove/oven/microwave, a living room with a three seater couch and 24 inch flat screen Tv connected to a Blu-Ray DVD player and a small training area with a punching bag dangling from a hook, dumbbell weight set and a Wing Chun wooden dummy.

"This places looks astounding. It feels like an actual home. It's just a shame that...that Bruce, Grayson, Drake, Gordon and Jason couldn't see it." Selina answered in all modesty with a soft grin as she was mightily impressed by the complete renovation and expensive furniture that Alfred purchased as he transformed the Belfry from a vacant space into an actual home in a whole single day...which sadly turned into a frown: as she deeply lamented on how Bruce, Dick, Tim, Barbara and even Jason couldn't see it themselves.

"You're also missing Alfred, aren't you?"Night softly asked as her sensors also indicated that Selena was also missing her former flame's faithful and loyal servant, whom left Gotham the following day shortly she apprehended Vogel and his gang.

"...Yeah. I am." Selina answered truthfully whist reluctantly admitting that she also missed Alfred and gave a soft sigh...as she was continuing Bruce's mission all on her own, even though she had Night assisting her.

"Night, what's going in the city? Is there anything worth looking into?" She softly asked while naturally changing the subject.

"It's rather ironic that you ask Selina...because there is high profile case that the GCPD have been working three days ago. One I believe might be right up your alley."Night answered as she informed Selina that there was a case that the GCPD were currently working and automatically understood the reason she asked: as she needed something to keep herself busy.

"What's the case?" Selina asked with raised eyebrows as her interest was instantly piqued.

"In the past three days, the police have been investigating a string of burglaries taking place throughout the Diamond District. Apparently, the perpetrator has been targeting high profile individuals who are involved in the art and jewelry business. The thief stole an extremely rare Jackson Pollock painting worth $140 million dollars from a private art collector, the Red Vineyard by Van Gogh worth $250 million dollars and a rare Frederic Remington worth $100 million dollars from two other collectors and just recently, the Demon's Eye Diamond which was appraised for $300 million from a penthouse belonging to a businessman, Benjamin Maddox."Nigh answered as she informed Selina on how the GCPD had been on the heels of a master thief, whom had targeted and robbed wealthy businessmen residing in the Diamond District the past three days and listed the items that were taken: three extremely rare paints that were made by Jackson Pollock, Van Gogh and Frederic Remington and an incredibly rare and exotic diamond.

"Damn, this thief has good taste. Just like me." Selina stated while whistling in amaze and amusement after hearing how the thief that the GCPD were chasing had made off with three rare paintings and a rare diamond that were over $790 million dollars!

"Yes. Indeed she has."Night replied casually.

"Wait. She?" Selina asked after hearing Night say 'she', indicating that the thief was a woman.

"According to police statements, the security guards charged with protecting said items gave the police vague descriptions of the suspect: a woman with long white hair, wearing a burglar mask and black leather outfit."Night stated as she informed the raven haired woman how the security guards hired to protect the paintings and gems had described the thief who robbed their employers as a woman with white hair, wearing a face mask and black leather bodysuit.

"A female master thief in a black leather catsuit? That...that practically sounds like me." Selina stated with astonished eyes after learning how the thief who pulled off those heists was a woman and wore a catsuit similar to her previous one.

"Indeed it does. But there's no need to worry Selina. The GCPD know the thief is not you."Night replied as she naturally agreed with Selina on how the mysterious woman's description indeed resembled her while assuring the raven haired woman that she didn't have to worry about the cops going after her: as the GCPD already knew what she liked look and the woman they were chasing had white hair.

"Well, that's a relief. Do the cops have any leads?" Selina replied while giving a soft sigh after hearing how she wouldn't have to deal with the police pinning the thefts on her and asked if the GCPD had any leads or theories on where the burglar would strike next.

"Unfortunately, the authorities don't have any leads at the moment."Night answered as she informed Selina that the GCPD had struck out on any leads that could point them to the thief.

"Heh...well, I'd know what I would do: I'd lay low until the heat died down and plan my next score." Selina stated while snickering softly and thinking back to her previous life as a master thief: how she had laid low for a number of days until the GCPD gave up on searching for her and began making plans for her next heist.

"Do you have any ideas on where the thief would target next Selina?"Night asked.

"Well...its like you said yourself Night: this woman has a strong taste in exotic paintings and gems. Have any private art collectors or museums received a delivery in the last 48 hours?" The raven haired woman answered as she pointed out on how the thief was only after rare art and asked if any other private collectors or museums placed an order for special delivery in the past two days.

"Searching city records now...Searching...Yes. Gotham Museum had recently purchased an incredibly rare artifact from Egypt: an emerald scarab from the 19th Dynasty during Seti the 1st's rule."Night answered as she automatically dived through the city's public records and revealed on how Gotham Museum had acquired an incredibly rare Egyptian treasure while uploading a photo of said artifact: a handheld scarab beetle forged out of pure gold with a table cut emerald welded in the center of the back.

"Nowthathas got to be worth something." Selina stated while giving a soft whistle and fairly surmising that the Emerald Beetle was worth a fortune.

"Indeed it is: since the archeologist and museum's Customs broker had evaluated the beetle's worth to $50,000,000."Night replied as she confirmed Selina's claim: revealing on how the Emerald Beetle was worth fifty millions dollars!

"...Fifty mil? There's no way our mystery thief can pass up on a score like that. I certainly wouldn't." Selina stated with a bright grin as she instinctively suspected that the 'mysterious burglar' would try to lift the Emerald Beetle from Gotham Museum next.

"That's a sound theory Selina. But unfortunately, the beetle has not arrived to the museum just yet. According to the Weather Service, a massive thunderstorm in Cairo had caused a large number of flights to be postponed."Night stated as she strongly agreed with her human 'partner's' logic while hesitantly revealing that the Emerald Beetle wasn't currently in Gotham: due to a heavy storm that had caused several flights in Egypt to be temporarily canceled until it was clear/safe for them to depart the country!

"Well, when the is beetle scheduled to arrive in Gotham?" Selina asked.

"The plane carrying the beetle just departed from Cairo International Airport and is scheduled to arrive to the museum at approximately..10:45 pm tonight."Night answered as she informed Selina on how the plane transporting the artifact left Egypt a few hours ago and would be touching down at Gotham near 11 pm at night.

"...So the beetle doesn't arrive till close to midnight. Damn." Selina softly muttered while glancing away in annoyance after hearing that unexpected revelation.

"...But if you need something to kill time, there are reports of a small band of Freaks breaking into The Midtown Mall at the Grand Avenue District."Night added as she informed her human 'partner' on how a small group of Freaks were pulling a breaking and entering job at the Grand Avenue District.

"Alright. If you pick up any other police chatter, let me know." Selina stated as she thanked Night for the information and asked her to keep her appraised of any other street crimes while pulling away from the crafting workstation.

"Affirmative. Oh and Selina, don't forget your phone in case our new allies on the force happen to call."Night replied while reminding the raven haired woman to keep her personal phone on her in case their 'new friends' in the GCPD decided to reach out to her for help.

"Don't worry Night. I've got that covered." Selina stated with a casual grin as she assured the female AI that she wouldn't forget her new phone, a navy blue Samsung Horizon flip phone...as it was safe and sound in the new clip-on cellphone holder she added to her suit.

Once she pulled away from the table and entered the dressing room, where she stripped out of her civilians clothing and donned on her Catwoman suit, Selena rode the elevator down straight to the ground floor, mounted on her motorcycle and rode off at high speed into the city.

~Meanwhile at the GCPD Building~

It was another casual day at GCPD Headquarters, as the lobby was filled with civilians talking over one another as they tried to file a complaint with the two desk sergeants. Meanwhile on the 2nd floor, the entire Homicide unit were seated behind their personal desks as Commissioner Yindel stood behind the podium in front of the room.

"Ladies, gentlemen. I'm afraid that I have some rather...unfortunate news." Comm. Yindel started off softly with a somber look on her face.

"What's the matter Commissioner?" A male detective asked.

"Approximately at 1:13 am, the Tactical Unit had carried out a standard raid at a suspected drug house in Sheldon Park. Four known drug dealers were arrested and one suspect was killed in a shootout. But sadly...a member of the team was also killed in the line of duty." Comm. Yindel answered professionally as she informed the cops under her command of the events that took place at Sheldon Park: how a small Tactical team had raided a suspected stash house...and during the operation, a member of the team was tragically killed by one of the drug dealers.

"Oh, no/Damn..." Several police officers softly muttered while glancing down in sadness after hearing how they lost a fellow brother in blue.

"Who was the officer?" Det. Sheridan asked.

"The officer who was killed during the raid was Off. Alan Henderson out of Warrants. He was recently reassigned to the Tactical Unit a week ago." Yindel answered as she revealed the name of cop: Alan Henderson, whom originally worked out of the PD's Warrants Squad.

"Goddamn, not Henderson." A Hispanic patrol officer softly muttered while glancing up to the roof after learning the name of the cop who was killed in the line of duty.

"Did you know him Ortiz?" Det. Montoya asked as she and Eric turned to the officer, whose name was engraved on his badge: Manny Ortiz.

"Yeah, I knew Alan. He and I worked Patrol together. He was a good man. Always took the job seriously and believed in doing things by the book." Ortiz answered with a soft nod, revealing how he and Henderson worked together back in Patrol and stating how Alan was a straightshooter and stickler for the rules.

"Hmm, sounds like a good man." Eric softly commented after hearing how Henderson believed in doing the job by the book; just like him.

"Yeah. He was." Ortiz replied while nodding in agreement.

"Who were the other cops on the Tact team?" Montoya asked.

"There was the lead detective: Emilio Ruiz. And the other two cops were Officers Anthony Davies and James Park, also in the Tactical unit." Commissioner Yindel answered aa she revealed the names of the other three officers whom took part on the raid.

"Where are they right now?" Sheridan asked.

"Ruiz is with the rest of the Tactical unit on the east wing. Davies and Park are currently at home on restricted duty. They were already interviewed and cleared by IAB." Yindel answered as she informed Montoya and their follow officers on how Ruiz was with the rest if the Tactical Unit, which was stationed on the 3rd floor of the west wing of the PD and Davies and Park were currently at home due to being on restricted duty.

"I realize that we're still working the robbery case...but this takes full priority." She automatically added as she informed her officers that she temporarily pulling them off the robbery case they had been investigating the past three days.

"Montoya, Sheridan. I'm assigning you this case. We need to get the sons of bitches who did this." Yindel stated as she assigned Montoya and Sheridan to investigate the shooting with a dead serious look on her face; showing that she wanted Henderson's killers brought to justice right away.

"Yes Ma'am." Eric replied as he, Renee and the rest of their colleagues saluted the brunette woman before she walked away and stepped back in her office.

"Renee, how do you want to work this?" The reddish brunette asked as he turned to his female partner.

"We should speak with the Tact officers who were on the raid to get their statements. Then, we should head over to the crime scene to get a read on what happened at the stash house." Montoya answered professionally, stating on how they should speak to Ruiz, Davies and Park first and then head to the crime scene at Sheldon Park to do a cursory walkthrough in order for them to understand what exactly happened to Henderson.

"Alright, smart. Who do you want speak to first?" Sheridan stated as he agreed with his partner's train of thought and asked on which Tact officer she wanted to interview first.

"Ruiz. Since he's still here." Renee answered, stating that she wanted to start with Ruiz; as he was the team leader.

"What about Park and Davies? Do you know where they live?" Eric asked, wondering if his partner knew where the other two Tact officers lived.

"Yeah. Park lives in Bristol and Davies lives in the Upper East Side." Montoya answered, showing that she knew where Davies and Park lived.

"Okay. So...how about I talk to Ruiz while you speak to Park and Davies?" Sheridan stated while suggesting that they divided the work: as he would speak with Ruiz whilst she interviewed Davies and Park.

"Alright, sounds good to..." Renee replied, showing that she agreed with her partner's logic before being untimely cut off.

"Hey Montoya?" A male patrol officer, a tan skinned man with gray dyed hair called out with a teenage boy standing behind him holding a handheld parcel in his right hand.

"What is it Jackson?" Renee asked as she turned to the officer, whom she and her colleagues knew as Off. Clay Jackson.

"I've got a kid here who has a package for you and Sheridan." Jackson answered truthfully, stating how the kid with him was a messenger and had a 'package' for her and her partner.

"...A package?" Eric softly asked as he and his partner turned to each other after hearing how the teenage messenger had a package for them.

"Yeah. A woman paid me to deliver this package to you and your partner." The teenage boy answered with a soft nod, stating how a random woman offered him some money to hand deliver a package to GCPD before handing the parcel to Sheridan.

"...This woman who paid you...What did she look like?" Renee softly asked...even though she and Eric had a good idea to who the woman that paid the kid was.

"I didn't get a good look. She paid me $300 bucks to deliver this package, no questions asked." The teenage kid answered, claiming that he didn't get a look at the woman and how she paid him 300 dollars to deliver the package.

"Can I go now?" He softly asked.

"Yeah, you can go." Eric answered while turning to Jackson, whom nodded and escorted the teenage kid back downstairs.

Once Jackson and the teenage boy headed down the stairs, Sheridan placed the parcel on his desk; which was opposite from Renee's and reached into the top drawer, where he took out a pocket knife, cut the handheld card box open and took out a Nokia 2760 Flip phone with a note attached to it, that he and Montoya read.

'Detective Montoya, if you and your partner are reading this note that means you have received my package. Since your new commissioner has gotten rid of the Bat Signal, use this phone to get in touch with me if you need assistance on another profile case. Don't show this phone to anyone...especially Yindel. P.S -Don't bother having your lab nerds try to dust the phone for fingerprints or running a trace whenever you hear from me.'Renee mentally stated as she and Eric read the contents of the note which they instinctively knew was from Selina: stating how the phone she paid the teenage messenger to deliver was for the three of them to communicate with each other and couldn't help but smirk in amusement...as the raven haired woman warned them that the phone was a dead end; as it was clean of any forensic evidence and any phone call they made would be untraceable.

"Hmm, not bad Catwoman." Sheridan softly stated as he complimented Selina's ingenuity: as she sent him and Renee a phone that couldn't be traced back to her.

"...Eric, why don't you hold onto the phone?" Montoya asked as she suggested to her partner that he hold onto the burner phone.

"Are you sure?" The auburn haired detective asked.

"Yeah. Besides, the commissioner will suspect something if she catches me with the phone." Renee answered with a soft nod as she explained to her partner the reason why she entrusted him with the phone was because Yindel would suspect something if she caught her with it.

"...That's a fair point." Eric stated as he instinctively agreed with his partner's logic before he slid the burner phone in his left jacket pocket.

"I'll meet up with you later. Call me as soon you're finished with Ruiz." Montoya stated as she placed a gentle hand on her partner's shoulder before walking down the stairs to the main lobby herself.

After he watched his female partner head downstairs, Sheridan headed over to the west wing of the building and rode the elevator up to the 3rd floor. Once he reached his designated floor, he found the office space used by the Tactical Unit and spotted a small handful of fellow GCPD officers, with several of them wearing ballistic vests and the man he was looking for: Ruiz, talking to another Tact officer.

"Det. Ruiz?" Sheridan called out, which earned the Puerto Rican cop's attention.

"Yes?" Ruiz asked.

"My name's Det. Sheridan. I'm with the Homicide unit. My partner and I are looking into Off. Henderson's murder." The brunette detective answered as he introduced himself to Ruiz and explained on how he and Montoya were assigned to Henderson's murder case.

"Ohh. Well...nice to meet you Detective. What do you want to know?" Ruiz stated as he hesitantly greeted Sheridan and asked on what he wanted to know about what happened with Henderson while the other cop walked away to give them privacy.

"Could you walk me through on what happened at the drug house?" Eric answered as he cut straight to the chase and asked on what happened on the night of the raid.

"It was a standard bust. My team and I got a search warrant to hit a house in Sheldon Park that Narcotics had suspected to be stash house." Ruiz answered modestly as he explained to the auburn haired detective on how he and his team were assisting the Narcotics unit on a case.

"And the team being you, Davies, Park and Henderson?" Sheridan asked as he took out his notepad and wrote down what Ruiz just said.

"Yes. That's right." The Puerto Rican detective answered with a soft nod.

"What happened when you entered the house?" Eric asked.

"After my team and I made entry, we searched the living room where we spotted four dealers. Davies and Park attempted to handcuff them, but we came under fire from an armed offender shooting at us from the upper floor. While we took cover, the four dealers ran out of the house. Davies and Park gave pursuit while Henderson and I went upstairs, where we neutralized the shooter. Although...once the shooter was down and Henderson and I entered the room to secure his weapon: another dealer, whom had been hiding in the adjacent room jumped out...and, um...s-shot Henderson twice in the back. I returned fire and the shooter ran out. I tried to revive Henderson...but it was too late. He was dead." Ruiz answered as he revealed to Sheridan what had happened after he and his team raided the stash house: how Davies and Park chased after four dealers while he and Henderson headed upstairs to deal with the 5th dealer whom opened fire on them...and after the shooter was taken care of...another gunman, whom was hiding in the adjacent bedroom shot and killed Henderson.

"...Where were Davies and Park during all this? Still chasing after the dealers?" Sheridan stated as he wrote down Ruiz's statement and asked on where Park and Davies were at the time.

"No...No, the dealers managed to escape. So they gave up and came back to the house when they heard the gunshots." Ruiz answered, stating how the dealers managed to escape

"Were you able to get a look at the shooter's face?" Eric asked, wondering if Ruiz managed to get a good look at the man who shot Henderson.

"...No. No, he was wearing a full ski mask. So I couldn't see his face." Ruiz answered while shaking his head, stating how the man who shot and killed Henderson was wearing a mask; so he couldn't see his face.

"What was in the stash house?" The brunette asked, wondering what the dealers holding in the house in the first place.

"Coke. The dealers who managed to escape were holding and hiding cocaine in the basement. But we managed to find it." Ruiz answered as he informed Sheridan on how the dealers he and his team attempted to arrest were holding cocaine out of the stash house.

"How much?" Eric asked.

"15 bags an ounce, which is basically...$27,000." Ruiz answered as he informed Sheridan on how the dealers were holding 15 bags of cocaine, which was virtually worth 27 grand!

"27K?! Where are the drugs now?" Sheridan asked, wondering where the cocaine was.

"In evidence lock up." Ruiz answered, stating how the cocaine was safe and sound in the evidence locker.

"Alright, I got what I needed. Thank you for you time Detective." Eric stated as he informed Ruiz that he had all the information he needed and thanked him for his time before he exited the room.

~Meanwhile with Det. Montoya~

After she walked down the stairs and exited the PD, Renee headed towards the parking lot, climbed into her Chevy Caprice and drove off to Bristol, where she interviewed Off. Park about the events that took place at the drug house raid. Once she was finished speaking to Park, she drove off to the Upper East Side where Off. Davies resided and asked him the same questions she had asked Park. As soon as she got all the information she needed and thanked Davies for his time, the female homicide detective went back to her car and reached into her left jacket pocket, where she took out her personal cellphone and dialed in Eric's cellphone number and luckily for her, she didn't have to wait long for her partner to answer.

"Yeah, this is Sheridan." Eric's voice stated casually as he answered his own cellphone.

"Eric, it's me." Renee stated.

"Renee. How'd it go with Park and Davies?" Sheridan asked.

"It went alright...for the most part." Montoya answered cryptically, stating on how her conversations with Davies and Park went as smoothly as possible.

"What do you mean...for the 'most part'?" Eric asked, wondering on what his partner meant by 'the most part'.

"Davies and Park went by their original statements: how they chased after the four dealers while Henderson and Ruiz headed up the stairs." She answered plainly, stating how both Davies and Park confirmed Ruiz's statement: how the two of them pursued the four drug dealers while Ruiz and Henderson headed to the upper floor.

"...Why do I sense a 'but' coming?" The brunette detective hesitantly asked...as he had sensed the hesitation in his partner's voice.

"Eric...when you spoke to Ruiz, did he by any chance tell you about there being a '6th shooter' in the house?" Renee hesitantly answered while asking her partner if Ruiz mentioned a 6th gunman being in the stash house.

"...Yeah, he did mention it. Why?" Sheridan slowly answered, confirming that Ruiz indeed told him about a 6th man being in the drug house.

"When I asked Davies, he confirmed Ruiz's statement. But when I spoke to Park...he said there was no 6th man. I also asked them about the gun that Ruiz said was used to kill Henderson: Davies said that one of the dealers grabbed the gun as he fled...Park said the dealers left the gun behind." Renee answered truthfully as she revealed to Sheridan while she questioned Park and Davies about the events that took place during the raid at the stash house...they told two different stories: Davies confirmed Ruiz's statement about a '6th man' being at the house while Park said there wasn't and Davies stated that the dealers who ran out of the house took the gun that killed Henderson with them whilst Park stated that the dealers had left the gun behind!

"Renee...did the field report by any chance mention the evidence team securing any drugs at the stash house?" Eric softly started off as he hesitantly asked his partner if the field report mentioned anything about Ruiz and his team or the Evidence team finding and securing any drugs at the trap house.

"I think so. Why?" The Dominican homicide detective asked.

"When I interviewed Ruiz, he said that he, Davies, Park and Henderson were helping Narcotics on a case regarding the stash house. But when I spoke the desk sergeant, Rivera, he told me that Narcotics wasn't even working an active case and had no information about the house in Sheldon Park." Sheridan answered truthfully, as he revealed to his partner on how Ruiz told him that he and his team were assisting the Narcotics Unit on a case...but when he spoke the desk sergeant; Sgt. Tomas Rivera, he told him that Narcotics hadn't even been working a case and didn't even know of the existence of the drug house!

"...Narcotics never knew about the stash house?" Renee asked as she was deeply taken back/stunned by that shocking revelation.

"No, they didn't. And I also checked with a detective from Narco, Jerry Wilcox and he told me that he and his unit have never spoke to Ruiz or a member of his team." The auburn haired detective answered while revealing to Montoya on how he spoke to a Narcotics detective, Jerry Wilcox, who told him that no one in his unit ever spoke to Ruiz!

"...They haven't?" Renee weakly asked with a mortified look on her face after hearing how Narcotics never spoke to Ruiz, Park, Davies or Henderson!

"No. And I also checked in with the evidence locker...the cocaine that Ruiz and his team seized from the raid...it never made it to Evidence." Eric softly added as he revealed to his partner that the drugs Ruiz and his team seized from the stash house wasn't even in their custody/possession!

"What?! How could that be?" Montoya exclaimed after hearing how the cocaine from the raid was never processed!

"There's only one reason..." Eric softly muttered...as he deeply suspected why the drugs never made it to the evidence locker.

"What are you thinking Eric?" Renee softly asked...even though she had the same gut feeling as her partner: corruption.

"...Something I don't want to." He softly answered...while showing and hoping that both his and Renee's guts were wrong.

"Renee...I'm going to have to make a call." Sheridan softly added as he informed his partner that he was going to make another phone call.

"Alright. As soon as you hear from our 'friend', let me know." Renee stated as she trusted her partner's judgement and asked him to call her as soon as he heard from their 'secret ally'.

"You got it, partner." Eric stated before he and Montoya hang up and she drove back to the police HQ.

Although, unknown to Renee...while she spoke to Sheridan on the phone, Davies had secretly been watching her through the window blinds in his living room and as soon as she drove off, he reached into his pants pocket, pulled out his cell phone and dialed in a number that was automatically saved.

"It's me. We got to meet. We may have a problem on our hands." Davies cryptically stated as he spoke to someone on the opposite end and informed them that they needed to meet immediately.

~Meanwhile with Catwoman~

The cat masked vigilante had sat casually on the corner of a rooftop with her right leg propped over her left with an amused grin on her face: as she glanced back to the front entrance of the Midtown Mall with a mob of eight Freaks, whom were laying sprawled out on the ground groaning in pain and discomfort with their hands handcuffed behind their backs. As soon as she arrived at the Grand Avenue District and located the mall, she witnessed the group of crazed street thugs exiting the building with random items ranging from TVs/high end electronics and numerous boxes of oxycodone...which they dropped the second they saw her climb off her motorcycle and charged in attack her. Fortunately for Catwoman...the brawl between her and Freaks didn't last long: as she easily knocked out several of the street thugs with lightning strikes that they could bare block and lassoed her whip around their necks/legs that knocked them to the ground as well.

'Heh, that was too easy. I wonder if Bruce felt the same way when he dealt with street thugs?'Catwoman mentally stated while chuckling softly, as she thought of the Freaks as pathetic and wondered if Batman ever got a satisfaction out of beating the street thugs he faced unconscious before glancing to her side as she felt her phone vibrating and immediately took it out.

"Hello?" The cat masked vigilante answered casually.

"Catwoman? It's Det. Sheridan." Eric answered softly.

"What can I do for you Detective?" Catwoman asked, curious to what reason the auburn haired detective called her.

"Montoya and I need your help on a case. A fellow GCPD officer was killed in the line of duty at a suspected drug house in Henderson Park. But we've found inconsistencies during the investigation." Sheridan answered truthfully as he informed Catwoman on how and Renee required her help in solving the murder of a Gotham City police officer.

"...And I'm guessing that you'd like me to check out the drug house where the murder took place." Selina stated plainly as she fairly surmised that Sheridan needed her to investigate the stash house where Henderson was murdered.

"You guessed it right. If Montoya or I could go, we would...but we can't. For obvious reasons." Eric answered as he confirmed Catwoman's intuition and stated the reason he asked was because he and Renee felt they were being watched.

"...Its not a problem. I'll look into it. I'll have my partner send whatever I find directly to yours or Montoya's computers." Catwoman replied as she assured Sheridan that she would help and stated that she would have her partner send whatever evidence she found at the drug house directly to his and his partner's desk computers.

"Got it. We'll be in touch." The brunette detective replied, stating that he and his partner would be waiting for her call before they hang up.

Once she and Sheridan broke contact and she placed her phone back in its holder, Catwoman had jumped down from the rooftop she had been perched on, climbed onto her motorcycle and rode off through the city.

"Night, are you there?" The cat masked vigilante stated as she contacted the Batcomputer in the Belfry.

"I'm here Selina. What do you need?"Night asked.

"I need you to pull up a police report about a shooting at a drug house in Sheldon Park last night." Catwoman answered as she asked her computerized partner to look up a police report about a shooting taking place last night at Sheldon Park.

"On it. Accessing the GCPD archive...Searching...Searching...Got it. According to the file, a four man team from the GCPD's Tactical Unit had conducted a standard raid at a suspected drug house...which tragically ended with one fatality: Off. Alan Henderson."The female AI stated as she naturally accessed the Gotham Police Department's database and found the police report her human partner spoke of.

"Who were the other officers that were there?" Catwoman asked.

"The three officers part of the raid were the lead detective of the team: Emilio Ruiz, Off. Anthony Davies and James Park."Night answered as she revealed the names of the three police officers whom were at the drug house with Henderson.

"Alright. Thanks for the information Night." The cat masked vigilante stated as she thanked the AI for her superb work.

"You're welcome Selina. Be careful."Night replied as she appreciated the raven haired woman's kind words and asked for her to watch her back.

"Always." Catwoman replied with a soft grin as she assured Night that she'd be hypervigilant.

After riding at high speeds through the city streets, the cat masked vigilante arrived at her main destination: the drug house in Sheldon Park. As soon as she mounted off her bike, Catwoman casually walked towards the house and stepped inside.

"Heh, looks like the wild west in here. I'll need to set up a crime scene in order to understand what happened here. " Catwoman stated joking as she stepped inside the living room, which was a complete mess: as she noticed the numerous bullet holes and furniture discarded around before she activated the Detective Vision to her goggles.

"There are four sets of shoe prints entering the house, which no doubtingly belong to Henderson and the three other cops he was with." The cat masked vigilante started off casually as she glanced to the floor: where she spotted four separate shoe prints entering the house from the outside...which she fairly guessed belonged to Henderson, Ruiz, Park and Davies.

"Hmm. There are deep impressions and several epithelial cells from four identified donors on the sofa and chair. Forensic analysis of the epithelials come back to Eddie White, Dave Jenson, Vince Roberts and Julio Blades; all low level dealers with multiple rap sheets for distributing narcotics." She continued as she turned her attention to the sofa and chair; which held traces of DNA and after scanning the four samples, the results came back to four known felons, whom each had a history in drug related offenses.

"Hmm, these shell casings are 7.62x39mm caliber rounds, which is the standard ammo for AK's and judging by the angle of the trajectories...they came from the 2nd floor." Catwoman stated as she knelt down on her right knee and picked up one of the shell casings that the GCPD's crime scene investigators fortunately missed between her fingers, which she identified as a 7.62x39mm that was the standard ammo for AK-47 assault rifles and glanced back to the ceiling above the living room, which was littered with bullet holes.

"There are four sets of shoe prints heading to the back of the house and two additional sets, which confirms the that the four dealers fleeing from the house with Park and Davies giving chase." She continued as she thoroughly studied the shoeprints scattered throughout the room: which confirmed that the dealers headed for and exited the back of the house with Davies and Park giving pursuit.

"Hmm, there's a void on this table. The shape and size are consistent with a handgun...no doubtingly the one that shot and killed Off. Henderson." The cat masked vigilante added as she turned her attention to the table in the center of the room and noted a distinct impression on the table's flat surface, which was of a handgun that she correctly surmised was of the murder weapon.

"The two other sets of shoe prints head in the opposite direction towards the staircase, no doubtingly Henderson and Ruiz." Catwoman continued as she noticed the two other sets of shoeprints headed the stairs, which she identified as Henderson's and Ruiz's.

Once she was finished processing the living room, the cat masked vigilante headed up the stairs to the 2nd floor while watching the hologram of Off. Henderson running up the stairs and stacking up against the wall outside a room that was sealed off in crime scene tape.

"Hmm, Henderson stacked up against the wall for cover and ordered the man who fired on him, Ruiz, Davies and Park to surrender. And judging by the bullet holes in the wall...the shooter refused to comply, forcing Henderson to take him out." Catwoman stated as she witnessed the hologram of Henderson pressing against the wall and calling out to the shooter, ordering him to lower his weapon...and after noting the multiple bullet holes in the adjacent wall and door, she instinctively knew that the gunman refused to give himself up as she walked underneath the crime scene tape and entered the room...which was the primary crime scene.

"After Henderson returned fire, he enters the room and finds the trigger happy bastard dead on the floor." She continued as she witnessed the hologram of Henderson kicking the door in after firing his service weapon and cautiously entering the room to see the gunman lying dead with his weapon, an AKM right near him.

"Huh...once he checked for a pulse, Henderson began to secure the room...which was when he was shot twice in the back." Catwoman added as she witnessed the hologram of Henderson kneeling down to check the gunman's pulse to confirm that he was indeed dead and called out over his shoulder, no doubtingly for Ruiz...and witnessed the hologram of an unidentified man standing outside the room and shooting Henderson twice in the back.

"But something doesn't make sense...according to the file, Ruiz stated that he and Henderson headed up the stairs together. But according to the evidence... Henderson was up here alone." The cat masked vigilante stated as she noted several inconsistencies in the field report: as Ruiz claimed that he and Henderson headed up the stairs together...but her crime scene reconstruction showed that Henderson was on the upper floor by himself.

"And according to Ruiz's statement: an unknown assailant that had been hiding in the closet stormed out and opened fire on him and Henderson. But forensic analyze shows that the closet door had been kicked open on the outside, which contradicts Ruiz's state..." She continued as she recounted Ruiz's claim on how a '6th gunman' whom had been hiding in the closet...but after carefully examining the door, she noticed how it had been kicked open from the outside before pausing in mid-sentence: as she heard two sets of foot prints entering the house.

As she heard the foot steps fade away, Catwoman had silently walked down the staircase, hid behind the wall and glanced around the corner: where she spotted two Caucasian men, both of whom appeared to be in their late 30's to early 40's, wearing casual clothing and carrying two gasoline containers in their right hands.

"Jesus Christ, look at this dump." The first man stated bluntly as he and his companion stepped inside the drug house.

"Aww, quiet your bitching. Let's just torch this place so the cops won't be able to find something that can link our guys to this house." A 2nd man countered as he ordered his friend to quit his whining while stating on how they were sent to burn the stash house down!

"Psst. Hey boys." Catwoman playfully called out with a casual grin on her face as she leaned against the threshold with her arms crosse, which earned the two mysterious men's attention.

"What the? Catwoman?!" The 1st man cried out as he and his partner turned around and stared in great shock the second the saw the cat masked vigilante!

"What's she doing here?!" The 2nd man exclaimed with an equally shocked expression on his face!

"Here's a hint." Catwoman answered sarcastically as she swiftly drew out her whip and before either men could react, she delivered a strong upward blow that struck the 2nd man directly underneath his chin: which caused him to stumble backwards with his partner looking in surprise!

"Why you fuckin' meddling bitch!" The 2nd man snarled angrily as he dropped the gasoline can, reached behind his back and drew out a collapsible baton before charging forward and attempting to land a blow with the baton...which Catwoman easily parried with her left arm and countered with crescent kick to his face, which caused him to cry out and stumble three steps back!

As the 2nd man slowly recovered from the lightning fast kick...his eyes widened in shock: as Catwoman quickly followed up on her initial blow by performing and landing a strong roundhouse kick to his face, which sent him crashing against the wall and collapsing to the ground unconscious, due to hitting the side of his head after colliding against the wall! Although, as soon as the 2nd man was out cold...Catwoman cried out in surprise: as a wooden chair that had been thrown across the room struck her back and caused to collapse to her knees on the floor! After recovering from the unexpected sneak attack, Catwoman glanced in the direction the chair came from and glared angrily...as she soon discovered that it was the 1st man who threw the chair at her and charged forward while drawing out his baton!

"Oh, yeah? Well two can play at that game..." The cat masked vigilante softly stated with an amused smirk on her face...as she had just the tool to deal with the 1st man.

As the unknown assailant was within range, Catwoman swiftly reached behind her back and drew out one of her standard bolas and with a swift flick of her wrist, tossed the three metallic pellets which automatically wrapped around the 1st man's arms/torso!

"Hey! What the hell is?!" The 1st man cried out as he struggled to break free from the ropes that ensnared him, but was to no avail...as they wrapped around him tightly!

As the remaining man attempted to break free...he glanced back and stared in great horror: as he witnessed Catwoman running towards him and landing an insanely strong flying kick to his chest...which knocked him to the floor and as he tried to get up, the cat masked vigilante jumped on top of him and knocked him out with a strong punch to his face!

"Tsk...candy asses." Catwoman stated while scoffing in disgust at how pathetic the two men she just took down were: as they didn't even put up much of a fight.

However...as soon as the two men were defeated, the cat masked vigilante instinctively searched the 1st man's pants/jacket pockets and took out his personal wallet...her eyes widened in silent shock as she went through the contents and spotted the one thing she didn't expect: a police badge!

"Oh, no..." Catwoman stated as she glanced at the badge, which read Det. Alec Hammond and immediately went through the 2nd man's pockets and pulled out his wallet, which also held a police badge with the name Det. Arthur Van Lewin!

"Son of a bitch...these two men are cops." She softly muttered underneath her breath...as she soon realized the two men she just took down were actually cops!

"Night, I need you to send my findings of the stash house crime scene to Det. Sheridan's and Montoya's computers." Catwoman stated as she stood up and asked Night to transmit the data of her reconstructed crime scene to Eric's and Renee's desk computers while tossing Hammond's and Van Lewin's wallets to the floor.

"Consider it done Selina. Were you able to find anything at the drug house?"Night replied while asking the raven haired woman if had discovered something at the Henderson crime scene.

"Yeah, I found something alright. But things have just gotten a lot more complicated." Catwoman answered truthfully as she made a truly horrifying revelation: Henderson was not killed by a drug dealer...he was murdered by a member of the Tactical Team! But the only question was...by whom?

~Meanwhile at the Industrial District~

Ruiz had casually stepped inside a bar, the Velvet Drop, which was filled with a number of civilians whom were enjoying themselves and having a drink either at the bar or behind the booths scattered throughout the establishment. As he walked through the bar, the Puerto Rican detective spotted Park and Davies sitting together behind a booth at the far back of the bar with Davies waving him over.

"Davies, I got your message. What's the matter?" Ruiz asked as he joined his two fellow cops at the booth.

"Emilio, we've got a problem. Park and I received a visit from Montoya from Homicide early today, asking questions about the stash house shooting." Davies answered as he informed his colleague on how he and Park had received a visit from Det. Montoya, whom questioned them about the Henderson shooting.

"I know. I received a visit from her partner at the PD." Ruiz replied as he informed his two colleagues on how he had received a visit from Renee's new partner, who also questioned him about the Henderson case.

"Do you think they suspect something?" Park asked, pondering if the two homicide detectives had suspected something when they interrogated them.

"Its a sure bet that they do. My contact at Narcotics told me that he saw Sheridan speaking to Wilcox." Ruiz answered gruffly as he revealed to Davies and Park that his contact in the Narcotics unit told him how Sheridan had spoke to Det. Wilcox.

"Goddamn it." Davies growled softly after hearing how their cover story: how they had been 'assisting' Narco on 'several cases' was now exposed.

"And that's not our only problem." Park softly add with a saddened look on his face.

"What do you mean?" Davies demanded as he and Ruiz turned to the Korean-American.

"Hammond and Van Lewin haven't checked in yet and they're not answering their phones." Park answered as he revealed to his colleagues on how the two cops they sent to torch the stash house; Hammond and Van Lewin hadn't contacted him or Davies to let them know the job had been done.

"Son of a bitch!" The Caucasian cop snarled through gritted teeth after hearing how they hadn't heard from Hammond or Van Lewin after sending them to burn down the drug house!

"Emilio...you and Davies know that if Sheridan and Montoya keep sticking their noses in the Henderson case..." Park started off before the Puerto Rican cop cut him off.

"The moment they become a problem...we'll take care of them when the time is right." Ruiz stated plainly with a soft glare forming in his face, claiming on how they would deal with the two homicide detectives when the time came with Park and Davies nodding in agreement...as they had no problem in killing two more cops.

A/N: There it is everyone, the ending to the 3rd chapter to my Catwoman/Black Cat crossover. Before anybody starts, I realize that I promised this chapter would be the one where Selina and Felicia would meet and team up. But I wanted this chapter to focus on Montoya and Sheridan working the Henderson shooting and I did introduce Felicia at the beginning. Anyway, Selina and Felicia will officially meet and team up in the upcoming 4th chapter. I give my word. Please be sure to read and review. Until next time, bye.
