Chapter 4: Another Cat in Town Pt.2

~In another part of Gotham~

At an apartment in the Kingston District, Felicia Hardy was currently sitting behind the desk in her bedroom, logging onto her personal laptop and searching for any another exotic art piece or artifact worth stealing.

'Hmm, Spider was right about Gotham. It's practically a cesspool crawling with criminals. But then again, so was the Big Apple and this city has plenty of marks that are ripe to robbed.'Felicia mentally stated as she reflected back on her on and off boyfriend, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man eventually telling her about his experience in Gotham: how it was overrun by ordinary and meta-human criminals and the police were ill-prepared to handle them, just like back in Manhattan...and how Gotham also had plenty of wealthy citizens to rob/steal from as she surfed the web for any marks and much to her luck, she didn't have to search long: as she found an article about the Emerald Scarab.

"Ohhh, the Emerald Scarab. A rare Egyptian treasure from the 19th Century, New Kingdom era. Estimated worth...$50,000,000. Scheduled to arrive to Gotham Museum by 10:45 pm later tonight." The white haired woman stated as went over the information about the Emerald Scarab with a wide smile spreading on her face and eyes beaming after reading how the rare Egyptian treasure was worth fifty million dollars!

"I hope the museum isn't counting on keeping the Scarab for long. Because tonight, it's coming home with me." She stated with the smile on her face as she naturally made up her mind and decided to steal the Scarab.

Although, before she logged off her computer...Felicia had noticed a video file of Vicki Vale reporting an incident that took place at Miagani Island a few hours ago and due to her curiosity, she clicked on the file.

"This is Vicki Vale with Gotham News reporting live at the Grand Avenue District. Approximately two hours ago, a small band of Freaks had broke into the newly rebuilt Midtown Mall, attempting to loot electronics and medical grade oxycodone but were thwarted by the unexpected arrival of our city's new hero: Catwoman."The blonde news reporter started off professionally with her cameraman filming as she reported on how a small band of Freaks had broke into the Midtown Mall to steal dollars worth of medical grade painkillers and electronics but were stopped by Gotham's new protector, Catwoman while showing a recording of the cat masked vigilante easily battling the crazed clown face painted street thugs with Felicia staring in fascination as the video clip ended.

"Catwoman, huh." Felicia softly muttered as she deeply intrigued at seeing a female crime fighter whom wore a black leather costume similar to her own and naturally looked up her name to find numerous news articles and police reports about her.

"Okay. Catwoman...real name, Selina Kyle. Born and raised in Gotham. A master thief wanted by every law enforcement around the globe." The white haired woman stated with a soft grin on her face as she went over the information the police/press had on Catwoman and couldn't help but find it amusing at how similar she and Selina were: as they both master thieves who only targeted people who deserved it and occasionally fought alongside their on/off flames when their interests aligned.

"Heh, seeing as how she's Gotham new hero, she'll more than likely show at the museum to stop me from stealing the Scarab. This'll be fun." Felicia softly stated as she casually leaned back in her chair and propped her right leg over her left with the amused grin on her face, as she strongly suspected Catwoman would be at Gotham Museum tonight...and was secretly looking forward to meeting her.

~Meanwhile with Catwoman~

Shortly after incapacitating Hammond and Van Lewin and leaving them tied up in the stash house for the rest of the GCPD to find, she mounted onto her motorcycle and departed from Sheldon Park.

"Night, are you there?" Catwoman stated as she contacted the Belfry through her wrist computer.

"Always Selina. What can I do for you?"Night answered automatically.

"I need you to do a background check on three GCPD officers." The cat masked vigilante answered truthfully as she asked her digitized partner to do a search on three officers in the Gotham Police Department.

"Very well. What are the names of the officers?"The female AI asked even though she was 'genuinely surprised' after hearing how the suspects Selina was looking into were in fact cops!

"Alec Hammond, Arthur Van Lewin...and Emilio Ruiz." Catwoman answered as she provided Night the names of the two cops she just stopped from burning down the stash house...and the man she suspected who sent them.

"Consider it done. Shall I send you my findings right away?"Night stated while asking her human partner if she wanted her to transmit the information immediately.

"There's no need. I'm on my way back to the Belfry." Catwoman answered with a soft grin as she informed the AI that she was heading back to her HQ/home.

"Very well Selina. I'll have the information ready for you when you return."Night replied before she and the cat masked vigilante broke contact.

After she and Night broke contact, Catwoman rode through the city at high speeds and smirked softly...as she attracted the attention of the GCPD, as several police cruisers saw her speeding and ordered her to pull over: which she naturally ignored and challenged them to a 'race' as she accelerated. And fortunately for the cat masked vigilante, the chase between her and the GCPD soon ended: as the cops couldn't keep up with her motorcycle and eventually gave up on the pursuit.

'Heh, you'd think the GCPD would learn by now that they can't outrace me.'Catwoman mentally stated as she glanced in the rearview mirror and playfully shook her head with a light grin as she was disappointed that the GCPD hadn't learned their lesson the past three days: they would never be able to catch her on her bike.

After giving the police the slip, Catwoman had rode through the city streets at normal speed and much to her good fortune, she soon arrived at the Financial District. Once she reached the Belfry, she drove through the tunnel and rode the elevator straight to the top floor of her HQ and home.

"Ahh Selina, welcome back."Night stated as she casually greeted her human partner as she pulled the cowl behind the back of her head.

"Thank you Night. Were you able to get the information I asked for?" The raven haired woman stated with a soft grin while asking Night if she had obtained the information she needed on Hammond, Van Lewin and Ruiz.

"Affirmative. I was able to successfully access the GCPD's servers and located Hammond's, Van Lewin's and Ruiz's personal files."The female AI answered as she automatically pulled up the photos and personal files of the three cops side by side, along with setting up an evidence tree.

"What did you find?" Selina asked as she walked up to the Batcomputer.

"The two police officers you encountered at the stash house are both in the Tactical Unit...but I wasn't able to find anything interesting on their records."Night answered truthfully as she revealed to Selina on how the cops she faced and took down were in the Tactical Unit, but didn't find anything important in either Hammond's or Van Lewin's files.

"What about Ruiz?" She asked while glancing towards the Puerto Rican cop's photo.

"Emilio Ruiz: age 45. He's been with the Gotham City Police for 21 years. Spent the first 6 years as a patrol officer, 8 in Narcotics and 7 in the Tactical Unit."The AI answered as she went through Ruiz's personal record and history as a cop: how he did six years in Patrol, eight years in Narcotics and the remaining seven in the Tac unit.

"He was a Narc? Selina asked with widened eyes after hearing how the Puerto Rican previously served in the GCPD's Narcotics unit!

"Indeed he did. I also find something rather...unsettling as I went through his file."Night answered as she informed her human partner that she had found something rather...troubling in Ruiz's file.

"What is it?" The raven haired woman asked as she was curious to what the female AI found...and would be stunned by the answer.

"...Selina. Off. Henderson was not the first police officer to die while working with Ruiz." Night answered as she revealed a rather startling revelation: how Henderson was not the first cop to die while assisting Ruiz and his team on a case!

"What do you mean?" Selina asked.

"When Ruiz was in Narcotics, he and another cop, Det. Joe Muller and two officers officers were conducting a raid at an abandoned brownstone in Park Row, which was a suspected crack house. According to the official report, a fire fight took place on the 2nd floor: one of the suspects armed with a MAC .45 opened fire and alerted the other dealers in the building. The detectives split up into two teams: Muller and Ruiz went to clear the upper floors while the other two cops cleared the lower floors and 20 minutes later, they heard two gunshots on the 3rd floor. The two other cops ran up the stairs to investigate and found Muller laying on the floor with Ruiz kneeling over him. Care to guess what he said?"The female AI answered as she revealed to her human partner on how Ruiz was involved in a similar incident when he was in Narcotics: how he, a detective named Joe Muller and two other cops had conducted a raid at a suspected crack house in Park Row that ended with one fatality: Det. Muller.

"Let me guess...he said that a dealer jumped them and shot Muller in the back." Selina answered sarcastically as she instinctively suspected what cover story Ruiz sold to the other two cops: how Muller was killed either by a dealer or junkie who shot him two times in the back...just like Henderson.

"Correct and care to guess who the other two officers were?"Night answered while asking Selina if she knew the identity of the other two cops were there at the brownstone raid.

"Hmm, let me take a wild guess...Davies and Park?" The raven haired woman answered playfully as she fairly guessed that the two officers whom were present when Det. Muller was killed were none other than Anthony Davies and James Park!

"Bingo. Officers Davies and Park were in Narcotics the same time as Ruiz. And there's something else."The female AI replied as she confirmed her partner's intuition and revealing that both Davies and Park served in the Narcotics unit the same time as Ruiz!

"Let me guess...a large amount of drugs went missing from that raid?" Selina sarcastically asked as she also fairy surmised that whatever drugs the dealers held in the brownstone were never processed and turned to evidence.

"That is correct. According to the official report, the Narcotics Unit had received a tip that the dealers operating out of the brownstone were holding 15 ounces of cocaine, which was estimated to be worth $27,000 and 25 pounds of methamphetamine worth $50,000. But for some unexplained reason...the drugs never made it to the Evidence locker."Night answered as she revealed to Selina on how the official police report stated how the Narcotics Unit had seized over $79,000 worth of street drugs...which 'mysteriously' vanished and never made it the evidence locker.

"And it wasn't the first time that drugs went missing during a raid involving Ruiz and his team. Before the brownstone incident, 15 kilos of heroin went missing from a drug deal at Gotham Harbor and 15 kilos of cocaine and 12 kilos of meth went missing from a raid on a drug lab at an old abandoned warehouse on Bleake Island."The female AI added as she revealed to her human partner on how over $500,000 worth of street drugs went missing after a raid that Ruiz, Park and Davies were a part of.

"Well...it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why Ruiz, Davies and Park would do it. After seeing how much money dealers made, they must've decided they wanted a piece of the action." Selina stated casually while shrugging her shoulders as she instinctively knew the reason why Ruiz and his team ripped off the drug dealers: after spending so many years of busting dealers and seeing how much money was being made, that was more than enough for them to betray their oaths as cops.

"I'm thinking your right Selina."Night replied as she strongly agreed with the raven haired woman's intuition.

"And with two dead bodies under their belt...they've proved their willing to kill to protect their secret." She softly added as she pointed out that Henderson's and Muller's deaths were proof that Ruiz and his team weren't afraid to kill to protect their 'side business'.

"You think one of them killed Muller and Henderson?"Night asked.

"I know one of them did Night. I just need to figure out who." Selina answered, claiming she had no doubt Ruiz, Park or Davies murdered Henderson and Muller...she just needed to figure out which one of them pulled the trigger in both cases before glancing to her side as she heard her phone ring.

"Hello?" The raven haired woman asked as she answered her phone.

"Catwoman, it's me." Eric answered.

"Det. Sheridan, did you or your partner get the data from my crime scene reconstruction?" Selina greeted casually while asking the reddish brunette if he or Montoya received the data from his virtual crime scene.

"Yeah, we did. The data from your virtual crime scene is incredible and it confirms our suspicions. I knew Ruiz was lying about something...a 'sixth man hiding in the closet' my ass." Sheridan answered, confirming that he and Montoya received the data from her crime scene reconstruction and stating her findings confirmed their suspicions: as her virtual crime scene contradicted Ruiz's statement about there being a 'sixth shooter' in the stash house.

"Detective, is the murder weapon still in evidence?" The raven haired woman asked, wondering if the GCPD still had possession of the Jericho handgun from the drug house.

"Yes, we still have the murder weapon. Why?" Eric answered, confirming that the Jericho 941 was still in the evidence locker.

"I need you or Montoya to bring it to me." She answered as she explained to Sheridan that she needed either him or his partner to bring him the Jericho handgun.

"Are you crazy? Neither of us can't do that." He softly demanded while stating that he or Renee couldn't just sneak into the evidence locker and swipe a crucial piece of evidence!

"Detective, please. The murder weapon may very well contain a print that belongs to the killer...probably Ruiz's." Selina softly countered as she pointed out a crucial fact to Sheridan: how the Jericho 941R no doubtingly held a fingerprint that belonged to Henderson's killer...which she strongly suspected belonged to Ruiz!

"...You're saying Ruiz killed Henderson?" Eric asked with shock filled eyes after hearing that truly horrifying revelation: how it was the Puerto Rican detective who shot Henderson in the back!

"That's why I need the gun. My crime scene reconstruction only proves that Ruiz lied about who shot Henderson, not who really pulled the trigger." Selina answered as she explained to the brunette why she needed the gun: so she could examine it herself for a fingerprint that could identify the man shot and killed Henderson.

"...I'll bring it to you. Where should we meet?" Sheridan softly stated as he assured the cat masked vigilante that he would bring her the gun and asked on where they would meet.

"Crime Alley. Just ask Montoya. She'll know where it is." The raven haired woman answered as she picked the alleyway in Park Row that made Bruce become Batman, which Jason changed by scaring common criminals and street thugs into staying away from in before he left Gotham.

"Got it." The brunette detective replied.

"And Detective, there's one more thing you should know. It's important." Selina swiftly added as she informed Sheridan that she had one last piece of crucial information for him and Montoya.

"What is it?" Eric asked as he was curious to what it was Catwoman needed to share with him.

"When you and Montoya go to the stash house in Sheldon Park...you'll find two cops out cold inside." She answered while sighing heavily and shaking her head as she reluctantly informed the reddish brunette that he and Renee would discover two police officers, tied up and unconscious in the drug house.

"...You attacked two cops?" Sheridan asked as he was stunned beyond words after hearing Catwoman telling him that she attacked and knocked two GCPD officers unconscious!

"I had to. Someone sent them to burn down the stash house and destroy any evidence that your crime scene unit missed the first time they went over the house. And we both the odds on who sent them." Selina softly replied as she explained to Eric that the two cops she fought were sent to destroy any evidence that could link Ruiz and his team to Henderson's murder or theft of the drugs that went missing from the raid...whilst instinctively suspecting who it was that sent Hammon and Van Lewin to burn down the drug house.

"Ruiz..." Eric softly growled as he also shared the cat masked vigilante's intuition.

"Thank you for the information Catwoman. Renee and I meet you at Park Row in two hours." The brunette stated as he thanked Catwoman for the information and claimed that he and his partner would meet at Crime Alley in two hours.

"I'll be there." Selina replied casually before she and Sheridan hung up on their ends.

~Meanwhile in the Industrial District~

In the back room of the Velvet Drop Bar, Ruiz was holding a private meeting with five other plain clothes GCPD officers; 3 men and two women with Park and Davies standing directly behind the Puerto Rican detective.

"Ladies, gentlemen. Anthony, Jim and I appreciate you making the time to attend this crucial meeting." Ruiz started off professionally with his arms folded behind his back as thanked the five cops, whom were in fact Tac officers for answering his summons.

"Of course Emilio, even though it wasn't exactly easy for us to duck out of roll call." One of the cops, a Caucasian man in his mid 30's gruffly replied with a light grin on his face.

"But enough pleasantries, let's get down to business. What are Coleman, Schmidt, Jackson, Weaver and I doing here?" One of the female cops, a tan skinned woman also in her mid 30's added while demanding to know why Ruiz had her and her fellow cops; Coleman, Schmidt, Jackson and Weaver meet him, Park and Davies at the Velvet Drop.

"Hmm, always one for cutting to the chase, aren't you Kendra?" Ruiz casually asked with a smirk on his face as the other four cops turned to their colleague, Off. Kendra Becker, who simply crossed her arms against her chest.

"Very well. The reason I called you, Edward, Blaire, Carter and Neil here is simple: we have a problem...that needs to be dealt with right away." He answered plain and simple as he revealed to Becker that their group had a major 'problem' that needed to be taken care of.

"What kind of problem?" The 2nd male cop, Off. Schmidt asked as he and his fellow cops were curious to what sort of 'problem' Ruiz needed them to take care of...and would be slightly surprised by the answer.

"Two detectives from Homicide, Montoya and the new guy from New York are sticking their noses where they don't belong. I want them dead...tonight." Ruiz answered as he revealed to Schmidt and his fellow cops on how Renee and her new partner, Det. Sheridan had been sniffing around the Henderson case...stating how he wanted them dead to prevent them from exposing their ring.

"You want us to kill two fellow cops?" The 2nd female cop asked, Off. Coleman asked with an incredulous expression on her face, along with Weaver after hearing how the Puerto Rican detective expected them, Becker, Schmidt and Jackson to kill two homicide detectives!

"Are you kidding? We can't do that! We only signed up to rip off drug dealers, not kill fellow cops!" The 3rd cop, Off. Weaver strongly objected as he refused to go along with Ruiz's orders in killing two felloe cops while reminding his colleagues on how they only joined up with Ruiz and his team to get rich by ripping off dealers.

"Don't you dare think about getting cold feet Neil. You're just in deep as the rest of us." Ruiz growled threateningly as he warned Off. Weaver, whom was the newest member to the Tactical Unit not to even think about demanding out of their ring: as he was just as dirty as the rest of their unit.

"But I didn't kill anyone!" Weaver strongly countered as he pointed out on how he had never once killed another person, let alone a fellow cop!

"You really think that self righteous and opinionated bore, Commissioner Yindel well give a shit about that, boy? Henderson's blood is on yours, just as its on mine, Park's, Davies' and everyone else in this room!" Ruiz replied as he pointed out to Weaver on how he, Becker and the rest of their unit were just as complicit in Henderson's murder in Yindel's point of view, even though he wasn't the one who pulled the trigger.

"But I..." Weaver attempted to protest before he was ultimately cut off.

"Neil...just stop, okay? You made your choice the second you took the money, just like the rest of us." Blaire stated softly as she reminded Weaver on how he put himself in this situation the moment he decided to join their club and eagerly accepted numerous bundles of drug money just like she, Schmidt, Becker and Jackson did.

"We're brothers and sisters in arms, Weaver. We stick together." Becker stated firmly while giving Weaver a cold stare as she reminded him on how they were a team and they swore an oath of loyalty to each other...which they expected to honor at all times while Weaver glanced to the ground in uncertainty.

"As I was saying earlier: Sheridan and Montoya...I want them dead, tonight. The raid on the stash house in Sheldon Park was our last score. I've already lined up a buyer whose willing to purchase our merchandise." Ruiz stated as he ordered a hit on the two homicide detectives and informed his fellow cops on how they would no longer pull off anymore rips while revealing on how he found a potential buyer interested in the drugs they stole.

"Tony, Jimmy. I want you both and Eddie to load the product from the storage unit onto the truck." The Puerto Rican detective continued as he turned Davies and Park, ordering them and Schmidt to load the drugs they were holding in his rental storage unit onto a truck while reaching into his right jacket pocket and pulled out a set of keys that he tossed to his Davies, whom was actually his right hand man.

"On it Emilio." Davies replied as he easily caught the key and motioned for Park and Schmidt to follow him as they exited the backroom and bar with Coleman and Weaver walking out as well while Jackson and Becker staying behind.

"Kendra?" Ruiz softly asked.

"Yes?" Becker asked in return as she turned to face Emilio.

"Come closer." He answered while motioning for Becker to step forward, which she naturally complied...as he leaned and whispered something in her ear, which caused her to look at him with a mystified expression on her face.

"You sure about this?" Becker softly asked.

"I'm positive. Weaver...he's a liability. I want him dealt with as well." Ruiz answered plainly as he pointed out the obvious fact on how Weaver was the weak link in their ring...and wanted him taken out as well: due to his objections about killing Montoya and Sheridan.

"...With pleasure. We never liked him anyway." Becker replied as she turned and shared a wicked smirk with Jackson, showing that neither of them had any issues in eliminating Weaver as well; especially since they and the rest of their group despised him as he was the rookie in their unit.

"Good. Take care of it. Once we make this deal, we'll be set for life." Ruiz stated with a grin on his face, claiming that after they made the deal and sold the drugs, they'd have enough money to start a new life for themselves with Becker and Jackson smiling in agreement before they exited the backroom and Velvet Drop themselves.

~Meanwhile in the GCPD~

After getting off the phone with Catwoman and learning how the Henderson case just got a whole lot more complicated, Det. Sheridan had headed to the Evidence Lockup, where he saw a female officer, a woman in her late 30's with long light brown hair tied in a ponytail standing behind the main desk.

"Ahh, Det. Sheridan. What can I do for you?" The female officer, whom was the property clerk casually greeted the reddish brunette and asked on what he needed.

"Hello Ofc. Hanson. I, um, I need the murder weapon from the Henderson case." Eric answered as he hesitantly informed the property clerk, Ofc. Felicia Hanson that he needed the handgun from the stash house crime scene.

"The Jericho 9-mil? What for?" Ofc. Hanson asked as she was curious to what Sheridan needed the Jericho 941 handgun for.

"I just received a call from Anderson up in Forensics. He says he needs to reexamine the gun for any evidence that he and his team might've overlooked." The brunette detective answered he revealed to Hanson on how he had 'received' a phone call from their head CSU tech, Det. Harry Anderson, 'who' needed to reexamine the murder weapon for any forensic evidence that 'he' and 'his fellow lab techs' missed the first time 'they' examined the gun.

"Very well. Just give me a moment and I'll get it." Hanson stated as she bought Sheridan's cover story (much to relief) before she turned around to enter the evidence locker and after waiting for five short minutes, she came back out with the Jericho in an evidence bag.

"Here you go Detective, one Jericho 9-mil as requested. If you could just sign here." The female brunette added as she handed Eric the evidence bag holding the murder weapon, which he gladly accepted and asked that he sign the chain of custody waver.

"Thanks Hanson. I appreciate it." Sheridan stated as he thanked Hanson for bringing him the Jericho 941 handgun while signing the form and exiting the Evidence room.

As soon as the reddish brunette exited the Evidence locker with the Jericho 941 in hand and stepped foot into the main lobby, that was the exact moment Montoya entered the PD with four other police officers following right behind her, whom were forcefully walking two certain suspects: Detectives Hammond and Van Lewin, whom were handcuffed and simply glared at the Dominican homicide detective and other cops as they walked towards the front desk.

"Renee, what's going on?" Sheridan asked as he walked up towards his partner...even though he already knew who the two cops were and why they were in bracelets, due to his conversation with Catwoman.

"After we spoke on the phone a few hours ago, Dispatch had requested units to respond a 10-32 at Sheldon Park. A man out on his daily jog called the police about a disturbance at the stash house. When I arrived on the scene, I found those two cops, tied up and gagged...withgasoline cans right next to their feet. I slapped the cuffs on them and threw their asses in my car." Montoya answered truthfully as she explained to her partner what had happened after she called him: after leaving Davies house and heading towards Sheldon Park, she had received a call from Dispatch about a disturbance at the drug house and after she stepped inside to investigate...she found the two cops, bound and gagged with their own gasoline can right near their feet.

"Did they have any ID's on them?" Eric asked, even though he knew the answer.

"Yep. Detectives Hammond and Van Lewin...from the Tactical Unit." She answered truthfully as she found their wallets, which also held their badges and revealed their names...along with the unit they were in.

"The Tac Unit? Just like Ruiz, Davies and Park?" The brunette asked with his eyes slightly widened in surprise after learning which unit Hammond and Van Lewin belonged in!

"Yeah. And they clammed up the moment I cuffed them. I asked them who sent them to the crime scene, they told me to go fuck myself." Renee replied as she confirmed that Hammond and Van Lewin worked in the same unit as Ruiz and his team...and how they practically told her to go to Hell when she asked who sent them to burn down the stash house with her partner shaking his head in disgust.

"Tsk. It's pretty obvious who sent them...Ruiz." Sheridan softly stated as he instinctively knew who had sent Hammond and Van Lewin to burn down the Henderson crime scene: a certain corrupt Tact officer!

"Eric, what are you doing with the murder weapon?" Montoya asked as she eventually noticed the evidence bag with the Jericho 9mm in his hand.

"...Let's take a drive. I'll explain on the way." The reddish brunette answered softly and cryptically while motioning for his partner to follow him outside, which she naturally complied to as they exited the building.

"Do you know where Crime Alley is?" Sheridan asked as he and Renee walked towards the parking lot and climbed in her car.

"Yeah, I can get us there. W..." The raven haired detective answered with a nod, confirming that she knew the location of the all too infamous alley and was about to ask why they needed to go there before pausing in mid-sentence...as she immediately understood the reason.

"Catwoman asked to meet there?" Montoya asked.

"Yeah. She needs to take a look at the gun to see if she can find a print that can lead to Henderson's killer." Eric answered as he explained to his female partner how Catwoman asked that they bring her the gun so she could find a fingerprint or any other forensic evidence that could lead straight to Henderson's actual

"Then let's not keep her waiting." Renee stated casually as she inserted the key into the ignition and drove out of the parking lot.

Although, unbeknown to Montoya and Sheridan...they were unaware of the two cops, whom were in fact Ofc. Jackson and Ofc. Coleman and whom were watching them in the front of a silver Acura CSX sedan that was parked three aisles down from Renee's car. As soon as they watched the Montoya and her partner drive off, Coleman reached into her pants pocket, pulled out her cellphone and dialed in a programmed number.

"Becker, Montoya and Sheridan have just left the PD parking lot. They're heading to meet someone in Crime Alley." Coleman stated as she informed Becker that Montoya and her partner were headed to Park Row to meet with someone.

"Good. We can ambush them when they drive back to the PD." Ofc. Becker stated as she was pleased with that news and claimed on how she and the other members of their ring could lay a trap for the two homicide detectives.

"Becker, there's something you know and you're not going to like it. Sheridan has the murder weapon from the crime scene with him." Coleman added as she hesitantly reported how Eric and Renee were taking the Jericho 941 to whoever they were meeting.

"What?! We need to get rid of that gun! It's the only thing that could connect Ruiz to the murder!" Becker cried out in dismay after hearing how the reddish brunette had the Jericho 9mm on him and stated on how they'd need to get rid of the Jericho handgun so Sheridan and Montoya couldn't find any evidence that led back to their boss and leader.

~Meanwhile with Montoya and Sheridan~

After leaving the PD and driving through traffic, which much to their good fortune was incredibly light, Renee and Eric had arrived at the Park Row District and after finding a suitable spot to park, the two homicide detectives exited the car and walked down the street to the small alley that was behind the Monarch Theatre.

"This is it?" Sheridan asked with a puzzled look on his face as he and his partner stepped foot and glanced around the derelict alley.

"I know it might not look like it Eric...but this particular alley has the longest history of criminal activity than any other city across the country. My colleagues and I responded to a number of crimes and assaults reported here." Renee softly stated as she explained to her partner on how Crime Alley had earned its name and reputation by being the #1 popular spot where criminals committed heinous crimes.

"Not to mention murder...since it's where Thomas and Martha Wayne were murdered many years ago." An all too familiar voice stated, which earned both the Montoya's and Sheridan's attention as they glanced towards the opposite end of the alley to see Catwoman, whom had mysterious appeared and casually leaning against the left wall with her arms folded across her chest.

"Hello Detectives." Catwoman stated as she greeted the raven haired woman and reddish brunette.

"Catwoman." Eric and Renee replied casually as they walked up towards the cat masked vigilante.

"Did you bring it?" She asked, demanding to know if the two homicide detectives brought the murder weapon with them.

"Right here." Sheridan answered as he reached into his right jacket pocket and pulled out the evidence bag holding the Jericho 941 before offering it to Catwoman, which she gladly accepted.

Once the brunette handed her the gun, the cat masked vigilante activated the Detective Vision feature to her goggle and glanced carefully at the murder weapon.

"Hmm, there are small traces of pigskin on the grip, which is one the most common material used for leather gloves." Catwoman stated as she looked over the Jericho 941 and spotted traces of leather on the handle of the semi-automatic handgun.

"There's also a fingerprint etched onto the side of the grip...along with traces of pigskin leather. Which indicates that the shooter was wearing gloves, no doubtingly to avoid testing positive for gunshot residue. But the shooter also made a mistake...as gloves also leave prints." Catwoman swiftly added as she found a fingerprint etched onto the grip, along with chemical traces of pigskin which revealed the man who shot Henderson was wearing leather gloves, for two obvious reasons: to avoid leaving actual fingerprints and testing positive for GSR...but pointed out how the shooter forgot one crucial thing - how leather gloves also left fingerprints!

"The fingerprint on the grip of the murder weapon comes back to...Emilio Ruiz." She continued as she analyzed the fingerprint...and the results came back to a certain corrupt Puerto Rican detective.

"...Ruiz shot Henderson?" Renee asked as she and Eric stared stunned beyond words after hearing that revelation: how it was actually Ruiz who murdered Henderson!

"Here's what I think happened: after Park and Davies chased after the dealers and Henderson headed up to the upper floor...Ruiz must've grabbed the Jericho 9mm the dealers left behind and simply waited for Henderson to take out the gunman who fired on them. Once Henderson neutralized the shooter and began to secure the room, Ruiz had walked up the steps and stood out in the hallway where he shot Henderson twice in the back. And there's only reason why Ruiz would use a dealer's gun: the bullets from his service weapon would lead straight back to him and he no doubtingly knew no one would suspect anything if he used a gun that possibly had a body count to it." Catwoman stated as she instinctively pieced together what had happened on the night at the drug house: after Davies and Park chased after the dealers and Henderson headed to the upper floor, Ruiz had lifted the Jericho 941 off the table in the living room before he followed Henderson up the stairs and shot him in the back and immediately understood the why he used the Jericho: as he needed a weapon that couldn't be traced back to him; due to his gun and bullets being in the PD's system!

"Ruiz, that son of a bitch..." Eric muttered underneath his breath while growling with a glare on his face once his suspicions were confirmed: how it was the Puerto Rican detective who shot and killed Henderson.

"Detectives, I'm afraid that's not the rest of the bad news." Catwoman stated as she handed Sheridan back the evidence bag with the murder weapon, which he gladly accepted.

"What do you mean?" Montoya asked as she and her partner to curious to what else their secret 'ally' had dug up on Ruiz...and they would be greatly shocked by the answer.

"Henderson was not the first cop that Ruiz killed. Back when he was in Narcotics, he was part of a raid on a suspected crack house here in Park Row. The other officers part of the raid were Davies, Park and a cop named Det. Joe Muller. As they searched the building, Ruiz ordered that they split up to 'cover more ground': with Park and Davies searching the lower floors whilst he and Muller searched the uppers. 20 minutes later...Park and Davies heard two gunshots on the 3rd floor, went up to check it out and found Ruiz standing over Muller's body." The cat masked vigilante answered as she revealed to Sheridan and Montoya about how Ruiz murdered another a cop when he was the in GCPD's Narcotics unit.

"So...that bastard isn't just dirty. He's a cop killer." Renee softly muttered with the glares on hers and Eric's faces growing after hearing that truly unexpected revelation: how Ruiz murdered not just one, but two good men!

"And that's got to be his M.O.: he splits up the group to give him the privacy he needs and his two lackies, Davies and Park go along with whatever bullshit story he cooks up." The reddish brunette softly stated as he soon realized how Ruiz managed to avoid facing charges: how he would separate the teams he was leading, pairing himself with the victim and once he got Henderson and Muller alone, he'd shoot them and both Park and Davies would cover it up by going along with whatever story Ruiz sold to their superiors and I.A.

"We're taking this straight to Yindel." Montoya stated firmly, which left no room for argument.

"We'll need to loop in I.A. as well." Sheridan replied as he pointed out on how they would need to bring in the PD's Internal Affairs department with his partner nodding in agreement...even she and her fellow officers despised I.A.

"If you need help for the takedown, my door is always open." Catwoman stated as she casually offered her help for when Eric, Renee and the rest of the GCPD arrested Ruiz and his team.

"Thank you Catwoman. As soon as we get the warrant, we'll give a call." Montoya stated as she and her partner smiled softly as they deeply appreciated the cat masked vigilante offering her aid in taking down Ruiz and promised they'd give contact her once they got the warrant.

"Alright. Stay safe." Catwoman stated with a soft grin before she took out her grapple gun and fired a line with the hook latching onto the corner of a rooftop and rappelling her upward with the homicide detectives watching on.

Shortly after they witnessed Catwoman shoot herself upward, Eric and Renee exited the alley and headed back to her car. Once they climbed in and the Dominican detective inserted the key into the ignition and pulled out as they headed back to GCPD headquarters. However, as they drove halfway through Park Row...that was when they spotted a man, who had his back towards them as he looked under the hood of his personal car; a 2005 metallic sandy brown Honda SUV.

"Excuse me, sir? Is everything alright?" Sheridan called out as he lowered his side window and asked the man if he was okay.

"No, the battery to my SUV is dead and I've been trying to flag cars the last 20 minutes to help." The man answered, stating how the battery to his SUV was out of power and that he'd been wasting precious time trying to flag a pedestrian driving by to help only to be ignored.

"Have you tried calling for a tow truck?" The reddish brunette asked again as he cautiously stepped out of the car with his hand resting on the strap of his gun holster...as he had a feeling in gut that something was wrong.

"I wish...but I left my phone at home." The man answered, claiming that he 'didn't' have his phone on him.

"Want to use mine?" Eric asked as he 'offered' to loan the man his phone while cautiously step forward as Renee stepped out of her car with her hand resting on her gun holster as well as they stood ready for what was about to happen.

"Actually...there's no need. I've got my phone right here!" The man countered as he swiftly turned around, revealing he was wearing a full ski mask to hide his face and drew out a Sphinx 3000 while firing three rounds at Sheridan's direction...which fortunately missed: as he ducked behind the corner of a building!

After he evaded the bullets, the reddish brunette swiftly countered as he drew out his Glock 19 and fired four 9mm bullets in return with Renee drawing out her Glock 17 and firing four bullets as well towards the masked gunman, whom swiftly opened the right door to the Honda SUV and used it as a shield to protect himself! As the masked man and two homicide detectives continued to exchange fire, that was when two other masked gunmen; a man and a woman both armed with 2nd Gen Glock 17s came out of the shadows and immediately opened fire!

"Renee, how many rounds do you have left?" Eric cried out as he fired three rounds at the female shooter, whom swiftly ran and ducked behind a parked metallic brown Toyota Crown sedan and countered by four rounds at Sheridan, whom just as swiftly ducked behind the wall.

"I've got about 8 rounds left! What about you?" Montoya answered, claiming how she only had 8 rounds left in her current clip as she fired three more rounds towards the 2nd masked man, whom ducked behind a parked a metallic sky blue Ford Mondeo and retaliated by firing five rounds towards the Dominican detective.

"I'm down to my last five and I've only got one spare clip." The brunette answered while panting softly, stating how he only had five bullets left in his current clip whilst secretly glancing around the corner of the wall to catch a glimpse of the 1st gunman firing the remaining bullets in his handgun before pausing to discard the empty clip.

"Cover me." He swiftly added while ordering his partner to keep him covered as he knelt down and walked alongside a pitch black colored Ford Raptor.

'On it." Renee replied as she caught a glimpse of the female shooter peeking out from behind cover and immediately fired two rounds at her direction, which struck the truck lid and caused her to duck behind cover!

"Ohhh, you are dead bitch." The female shooter snarled underneath her breath as she fired four bullets in retaliation...only to miss, due to Montoya swiftly ducking behind cover and reloading a fully loaded clip into her Glock 17.

"C'mon Eric. I won't be able to keep this up much longer." Renee softly muttered as she begged her partner to hurry and get into position as both the female and 2nd male shooter fired on her side car door, which was covered in bullet holes.

Luckily for the Dominican detective, as the female and 2nd male shooters were busy shooting at her...they failed to notice her partner sneaking up towards the 1st shooter, who also fired on her Montoya.

"Hey, asshole!" Sheridan yelled out, which immediately earned the 1st masked shooter's attention and stared in utter surprise...before he cried out as the reddish brunette fired his five remaining rounds into him and watched as he fell backwards while slumping against the side of the Honda SUV with blood covering the paint.

"One down...two to go." Eric stated plainly as he discarded the empty magazine and loaded his only spare while pulling back the slide.

"Son of a bitch! They got Landon!" The 2nd masked gunman cried out as he informed the female shooter that Sheridan killed the 1st gunman!

"Pull back! Pull back!" The female shooter yelled back in return as she ordered for them to retreat while firing off three rounds as she ran up the street with her partner right behind her.

"Oh, no you don't." Renee stated plainly as she got out from behind cover and after taking precise aim...fired a 9mm round that struck the 2nd masked shooter behind his right leg, which caused him to stagger and lean against the wall of a liquor store.

"Blaire! Blaire, wait! Wait!" The 2nd masked man exclaimed as he called out for the female masked shooter to help him...which was pointless, as she was already long gone.

As the 2nd masked shooter attempted to run while limping, he glanced back as he heard two sets of footsteps running towards him and his eyes widened in shock...as both Sheridan and Montoya had caught up to him and aimed their police issued Glocks at him!

"Going somewhere?" Eric asked sarcastically with a smirk on his face.

"Don't even think about it." Renee stated plainly as she warned the wounded masked man not to even think about going for his gun...which sadly fell on deaf ears: as he slowly raised his Glock.

"Don't do it!" Sheridan stated as he ordered the masked man to lower the gun!

"Fuck you both!" The masked nan acidly spat as he aimed his gun at the reddish brunette...only to yell out as both Sheridan and Montoya fired three rounds from their own Glocks, which caused him to stumble backwards and collapse to the pavement, dead.

"...Shit." Renee softly muttered as she and partner lowered their own handgun and turned to each other with disappointed/somber looks on their faces...as they just killed two masked assailants and the 3rd one got away before she reached into her pants pocket, took out her phone and called Dispatch to send units their way.

~Meanwhile further up the street~

As soon as the 3rd shooter managed to get away and was at a safe enough distance to avoid being seen by anyone...she took off her mask, revealing herself to be Off. Coleman, who reached into her pants pocket, took out her phone and dialed in a programmed number.

"Becker...it's me." Coleman stated while taking in light breaths to get her breathing under control.

"What happened?" Becker asked, demanding to know what had happened at Park Row after noticing how winded Coleman was.

"...The plan went sideways. Landon and Carter are dead." Coleman answered as she hesitantly revealed to Becker that their plan backfired and that Jackson, along with another member of their ring: Off. Landon Wolfe were dead!

"Goddamn it! Emilio is not going to like this!" Becker angrily yelled after hearing how Montoya and Sheridan were still alive and they had lost two of their own!

"Come back to the bar. We can't afford to lose you right now." She softly added as she ordered Coleman to return to the Velvet Drop, stating on how they needed for her at the deal.

"Got it." Coleman replied before she and Becker hung up on each other before she walked further down the street and climbed into her Acura sedan.

~Meanwhile with Catwoman~

Shortly after the secret meeting between her, Sheridan and Montoya and taking off by propelling herself skyward with her grapple gun, the cat masked vigilante was currently kneeling on the edge of a building, admiring the scenery of her city home before glancing to her wrist as her wrist computer started beeping.

"Go ahead Night." Catwoman stated.

"Selina, I'm afraid I have some rather...troubling news. Exactly fifteen minutes ago, Detectives Montoya and Sheridan came under fire by three masked assailants after meeting with you."Night automatically replied as she informed her human partner on her two detective 'allies' were ambushed by three masked gunmen after leaving Crime Alley.

"...What? I was just with them! Are they okay?" Catwoman asked as she was genuinely surprised after hearing how Eric and Renee were attacked shortly after meeting with her!

"They're alright. They managed to kill two of the assailants while the 3rd one managed to escape police custody."The female AI answered truthfully as she assured the cat masked vigilante that the two homicide detectives were unharmed and managed to kill two of the shooters...even though the 3rd shooter (Off. Coleman) managed to escape.

"(Sigh) Good. Have they identified the shooters?" Catwoman stated while giving a sigh of relief after hearing that Sheridan and Montoya were alright and asked if they had IDed the two gunmen.

"As a matter of fact, they have. They took a photo of their faces and ran them through the GCPD's database. The two gunmen were identified as Ofc. Landon Wolfe and Ofc. Carter Jackson...and care to guess which unit they belong in?"Night answered as she informed Catwoman that Eric and Renee had took a photo of the shooters after removing their masks and after running their faces through the system, they identified the shooters as Landon Wolfe and Carter Jackson...and playfully asked her partner if she knew which police unit they served in.

"Hmm, let me take a wild guess...the Tactical Unit?" The cat masked vigilante answered in an equally playful tone...as she instinctually knew which unit Wolfe and Jackson belonged to: the Tactical Unit!

"That is correct. And it's a fair guess to who sent them."Night replied as she confirmed Catwoman's intuition and stated that they both knew who it was that sent Wolfe and Jackson after the two homicide detectives.

"...Ruiz." Catwoman softly growled as she knew without a doubt that the corrupt Puerto Rican cop sent Jackson and Wolfe to kill Montoya and Sheridan!

"Although...there is one other thing that I'm pretty sure you're going to like. "Night stated as she cryptically informed her human partner that she had further news that she would no doubtingly like.

"Which is?" The cat masked vigilante asked.

"The plane flying in from Africa touched down at Gotham Airport two hours ago and a security detail transported the Emerald Scarab to Gotham Museum. However...the director of the Museum just made a last minute announcement: the museum will be closed at 10 pm."The female AI answered as she informed Catwoman that the Emerald Scarab had just arrived in Gotham...and how the museum director made a last minute change: how the museum would close early once they had possession of the rare Egyptian treasure!

"And if our mystery thief knows this...she'll be there. Thanks for the information Night." Catwoman stated with a sly smirk on her face and noted how the time on her wrist computer was currently 7:55 pm and that the museum would be closing in 2 hours while thanking her computerized partner for the information.

"You're welcome Selina. Happy hunting."Night replied.

"It usually is." She replied with a casual grin before drawing out her grapple gun and deploying another line as she shot upward into the sky.

~Meanwhile at the GCPD~

After the heated shootout at Park Row, Montoya and Sheridan had returned to GCPD HQ and headed straight to Commissioner Yindel's office where they saw her waiting with a Caucasian man in his mid 40's with black/grayish hair and light gray eyes wearing a charcoal grey blazer, light red buttoned shirt, charcoal suit pants and black leather shoes.

"Ahh Detectives, c'mon in." Comm. Yindel stated as she greeted the Dominican and reddish brunette.

"Commissioner, we need to talk." Renee replied.

"Who's this?" Eric asked while glancing towards the Caucasian man in the suit, whom also wore a GCPD badge.

"This is Lt. Dennis Toledo from Internal Affairs. He's here because apparently...he has some information about the Henderson case." Yindel answered as she introduced the man in the suit as a detective from the department's Internal Affairs unit and revealed to her two detectives on how Lt. Toledo had information regarding their investigation.

"Lieutenant...would you care to tell my detectives what you just told me?" She added with leery eyes as she turned to the IA detective, whom simply ignored the look she was giving him.

"Tell us what?" Sheridan asked.

"Alan Henderson...was working undercover as a mole in the Tactical Unit." Lt. Toledo answered plainly...as he reluctantly revealed to Renee and her partner on how Henderson was spying on the Tactical Unit!

"What?" Montoya and Sheridan exclaimed as they were deeply taken back by that unexpected revelation: as they just learned that Henderson was a secret field agent working for I.A.!

"He was working for you?" Eric demanded after hearing how Henderson was working for Internal Affairs!

"That's right. He was assisting me in an investigation that's currently ongoing." Toledo answered with a casual shrug, revealing how Henderson was helping him in an on going investigation.

"Who are you investigating?" Renee asked...even though she and her partner had a good idea who it was that IA was looking into.

"My superiors and I have been investigating Emilio Ruiz. For the last five years, we've been investigating Ruiz and his team for the disappearance of kilos of street drugs." Toledo answered truthfully as he explained to Yindel, Montoya and Sheridan on how Internal Affair had been investigating Ruiz, Davies and Park for the suspected theft of narcotics that they and their fellow cops had taken off the streets.

"Tsk, it's not just Ruiz and his team that are dirty. It's their whole unit." Eric stated while scoffing as he bluntly informed the I.A. lieutenant and his C.O. that it wasn't only Ruiz, Davies and Park who were corrupt...it was the entire Tactical Unit!

"Uh, pardon?!" Toledo asked as he and Yindel stared wide-eyed once those shocking words came out to the reddish brunette's mouth!

"Det. Sheridan, did you just say the entire Tactical Unit is dirty?!" Yindel asked as she was deeply stunned beyond words after hearing how the PD's Tactical unit was corrupt!

"It's true Commissioner, after Sheridan and I were on our way back after meeting with an informant, we were ambushed by three masked gunmen. We managed to kill two, but one managed to escape...and we IDed two of the shooters as members of the Tactical Unit." Montoya answered as she she revealed to their commanding officer that she and her partner had came under attack by three members of the Tactical Unit, whom were wearing masks a few minutes after they met with an 'informant' at Park Row.

"And we're pretty sure we know who sent them: Ruiz." Eric automatically added, stating on how he and Renee knew that it was the Puerto Rican detective who sent three members of his unit after them!

"I...I...just can't believe this. From what I heard, Ruiz is a true police officer. He's served in the department for 21 years." Yindel stated as she was genuinely stunned to what she was hearing while going over Ruiz's police record.

"Commissioner, Ruiz murdered Henderson. Anderson and his team found a fingerprint on the murder weapon and it came back to a 100% match to Ruiz. They also put together a virtual crime scene and found evidence that proves he shot Henderson." Sheridan stated as he informed Yindel on how 'Anderson' and 'his team' had dusted the Jericho 9mm for fingerprints and found a print on the grip...which came back to Ruiz, which proved that he shot and killed Henderson.

"And I'm pretty sure I know what got Henderson killed." Lt. Toledo stated...as he reluctantly informed Yindel and the two detectives that he suspected the reason why Ruiz and his team decided to kill Henderson.

"What do you mean?" Renee asked.

"Before Ruiz and his team headed out to hit the stash house...Alan left me a voicemail message on my phone, saying he found the break we needed to nail that son of a bitch and his fellow mutts to the wall." Toledo answered, explaining that before Henderson joined Ruiz, Park and Davies to rip off the drug house at Sheldon Park he left him a message on his phone...claiming that he found the 'ace in the hole' they needed to put the entire Tactical Unit in prison for life before taking out his cellphone and playing the message that Henderson left him.

"Dennis, it's me. Listen, don't speak. Just listen. I was able to find a witness; a member of the Tactical team whose willing to go on the record and testify again Ruiz and the entire unit. I have to go: Ruiz is putting together a team to hit a suspected drug house in Sheldon Park. I'll contact you again once we come back to the station."The recorded voice of Alan Henderson stated as he informed Toledo that he managed to find a witness: a member of the Tactical Unit who was willing to testify against Ruiz and the rest of their ring before he left with Ruiz, Davies and Park to hit the stash house in Sheldon Park...which he unfortunately didn't realize was actually a set up.

"One of the cops in the Tactical Unit was going to flip on Ruiz and the others." Eric softly stated as he and Renee turned to each other after learning how a member of the Tactical Unit was actually planning on turning against Ruiz and the rest of their crew!

"So that's the break Henderson was talking about." Montoya stated as she and reddish brunette soon discovered what the 'ace in the hole' that Henderson spoke of was when Off. Chen knocked outside Yindel's office before stepping inside.

"Excuse me, Commissioner Yindel?" The Asian-American patrol officer asked.

"What do you need Off. Chen?" Yindel asked professionally.

"A member from the Tactical Unit, an Ofc. Weaver just turned himself in. He's in Interrogation Rm. 1. right now." Ofc. Chen answered modestly as she informed her C.O., Sheridan, Montoya and Lt. Toledo on how a member of the Tactical Unit just surrendered himself and was currently sitting in Interrogation.

After they heard that truly surprising news, Eric and Renee turned to each other before they, Comm. Yindel and Toledo followed Chen as she led them down the hall to Interrogation where they saw Ofc. Neil Weaver in Rm. 1: sitting behind the table, looking at his hands with his thumbs lighting rubbing together before glancing up as Sheridan and Montoya walked in while Yindel and Toledo watched from outside the room.

"Ofc. Weaver, my partner and I understand you turned yourself in." The Dominican detective started off casually.

"I know you both: you're Det. Montoya and Det. Sheridan." Weaver stated plainly, showing he knew who the two homicide detectives were.

"That's right...and we're pretty sure we know who you are." Eric stated plainly as he crossed his arm against his chest while his partner pulled up a chair and sat across on the opposite side of the table.

"Y-Y-You do?" Weaver asked while gulping and sweating weakly.

"That's right. We know that Henderson was undercover, investigating your unit and that he found a witness. And if we had to guess...we're pretty sure it's you." The reddish brunette answered plainly, claiming that he and Montoya already knew everything: how IA was looking into his unit, Henderson was working undercover for them and that he found a witness who was filling to testify against Ruiz and Tact Unit...and fairly surmised that the witness was Weaver.

"...That's right." Weaver answered somberly while lowering his head and glancing to the table...confirming that he was indeed the witness!

"But before I say anything, I want a deal first." He swiftly added, claiming that he wasn't going to talk unless they worked out a deal.

"What do you want?" Renee asked, demanding to know what it was that Weaver wanted in exchange for his testimony.

"If I talk...you'll need to protect me." Weaver answered, claiming that he wanted protection from Ruiz and rest of the Tactical Unit in exchange for his testimony.

"You can get that...as long as we like what we hear." Sheridan replied as he and Renee turned to each other and nodded in agreement, showing that they would talk to the ADA about his request...as long as his information was believable.

"...What do you want to know?" Weaver asked.

"Simple. We know your entire unit is dirty. We want names." Montoya answered dryly, claiming that she and her partner wanted the names of the officers whom were in Ruiz's ring.

"Well besides me, Ruiz, Davies and Park...there's Alec Hammond, Arthur Van Lewin, Kendra Becker, Edward Schmidt, Blaire Coleman, Carter Jackson, Landon Wolfe and Grace Adler." Weaver answered as he hesitantly revealed the names of the officers whom were part of Ruiz's organization.

"Hammond and Van Lewin are already in police custody and Jackson and Wolfe are dead. So that only leaves...four dirty cops still helping Ruiz and his team." Eric softly muttered as he did the math in his head: how Weaver just revealed that Ruiz's group was built of 12 members and recounted on how five were currently arrested/dead...which left only four corrupt cops helping Ruiz, Park and Davies.

"...Why would you and the other members of your unit do this?" Renee asked plainly and directly, demanding to know how the entire Tactical Unit could betray their oaths as cops!

"...We just wanted to be rich. It started out as benign: we'd rip off a couple of bricks from a dealer and all we thought 'Who's going to miss a small stash from some dealer?'...but then it became 'Who's going to miss the dealer?'" Weaver stated weakly, claiming the reason why he, Becker and the other cops in their unit got it bed Ruiz was because of the money...much to hers, Eric's, Toledo's and Yindel's ire/disgust.

"Where is Ruiz and the rest of your unit now?" Sheridan asked, demanding to know where Ruiz and the remaining members of the Tact Unit were.

"...Ruiz has a deal with some buyer to sell the drugs we stole." Weaver answered as he informed the two homicide detectives on how Ruiz and his team were meeting with a mysterious 'client' who was interested in buying the drugs they had stole the past six months.

"Where is the deal taking place?" Montoya asked, demanding to know where the deal would be taking place.

"Tunney's Salvage Yard at the Cauldron. It's taking place at 11." Weaver answered, revealing to the two detectives on how the deal between Ruiz and the mystery buyer was taking place at a junk yard on Bleake Island with Eric pulling out his phone to check the time, which was 8:24 pm.

"It's near 8:30. So we only have 2 hours to get to Bleake Island." Sheridan stated as he informed his partner on how they only had 2 hours to form a plan before they headed to the Cauldron before they exited the interrogation room with Yindel and Toledo staring at Weaver in contempt.

"Captain, do we have enough for a warrant?" Renee asked.

"I'll get you and Sheridan your warrant, Montoya. Go get that son of a bitch." Yindel answered while ordering Renee and Eric to arrest Ruiz and the rest of the Tactical Unit.

"We'll send SWAT as back up." Toledo added, informing the two detectives on how he and Yindel would have SWAT accompany them to Bleake Island.

"With pleasure." Eric replied...as he was looking forward on personally slapping the cuffs on Ruiz when they took him and his unit down for the murder of Alan Henderson and Joe Muller.

~Meanwhile in Downtown, Gotham~

After departing from Park Row and traversing through the air and across rooftops, Catwoman had landed and perched on the ledge of a rooftop of a building parallel from the Gotham Museum and noticed on how the lights were off: which showed the museum was closed, as it was now 10 pm. Although..as soon as she knelt down and began to survey the building, that was the exact moment the cat masked vigilante heard an incredible loud alarm blaring out from the museum and caught a slight glimpse of a shadowy figure climbing onto the roof...who she instinctively identified as the mystery thief.

Meanwhile, on the roof of the museum, Black Cat had reached behind her back, took out a small brown leather drawstring pouch...and smiled brightly as she reached in and took out the Emerald Scarab.

"Mmm, hello gorgeous. What a truly beautiful Egyptian treasure." The white haired woman stated as she looked at the handheld gold crafted scarab beetle with the emerald etched in the center of its back and admired the quality craftsmanship of the rare artifact.

"Indeed, it is." A female voice called out in agreement, which caused Black Cat to softly gasp in surprise and glanced up to the sky where the voice came from...and spotted Catwoman swooping down above her!

After quickly recovering from the initial shock...a soft smile slowly appeared on Black Cat's face: as Catwoman had appeared as she knew she would before placing the Scarab back in the pouch and tying it firmly as she naturally somersaulted backwards as the reformed anti-heroin landed on the roof. Once she landed safely on the rooftop, Catwoman swiftly lunged forward and attempted to grab a hold of the white haired woman...which she naturally evaded by somersaulting to the side and naturally countered by throwing a front side kick that the cat masked vigilante naturally blocked. After she blocked the initial kick, the two cat masked vigilantes spent the past ten minutes trading lightning fast strikes that the other was able to successfully block/parry...and trading an amused grin at what good fighters the other were.

As they continued to trade blows, Catwoman attempted to knock Black Cat off her feet with a swift sweep kick, which she easily evaded by somersaulting backwards and as soon as she landed on her feet, Catwoman just as swiftly grabbed a hold of her wrists and knocked her off her feet with an inside trip. But unfortunately for the cat masked vigilante, her plan to subdue the white haired woman backfired: as she clutched her hands around Catwoman's wrists and forced her to fall onto the flat surface of the roof! Although, as soon as they hit the ground and were looking at each other, face to face...Catwoman couldn't help but stare in genuine and silent surprise: as she staring at the most beautiful woman she had ever laid her eyes on. And unknown to Catwoman...Black Cat was thinking the exact same thing.

"So...you must be Catwoman." Black Cat stated with a casual and sly smirk on her face...which Catwoman couldn't help but mirror.

"Do I know you?" The cat masked vigilante asked softly...while secretly glancing at the 2nd cat vigilante/thief's lips that she fairly imagined were suitable for kissing.

"You could say that I'm a...drifter passing through your marvelous city." The white haired woman answered coyly, claiming to be a mere 'drifter' passing through Gotham...while also secretly glancing at the sightly older woman's lips.

"Ohh really?" Catwoman asked with an equally coy smirk on her face as she and Black Cat instinctively released their grip on each other's wrists and got back up on their feet.

"I also looked you up...if you think that's a bit strange." Black Cat automatically added as she softly confessed to researching her on the internet.

"Heh, not at all, especially since I did it myself during my previous life as a master thief." Catwoman answered as she revealed that she had studied up on her allies/enemies as well...while seductively brushing the tip of her pointer finger against the white haired woman's lips, which sent a huge tingling sensation up her spine.

But before the two ladies could exchange any further words...that was when the wrist computer on Catwoman's wrist started came online.

"Catwoman, do you read me?"Night asked.

"I read you Night. Go ahead." The cat masked vigilante answered as she spoke into the wrist mounted computer with Black Cat listening in silent curiosity.

"I have rather excellent news. Det. Montoya and Det. Sheridan just received warrants to arrest Emilio Ruiz and the entire Tactical Unit."The female AI answered as she informed her human partner that Renee and Eric were on their way to take down Ruiz and his whole unit!

"That's great news Night! Where's it going down?" Catwoman stated with a light smile after hearing that their two detective allies were able to get the warrants to arrest Ruiz and his entire ring of corrupt cops!

'...Det. Sheridan? He's here?'Black Cat mentally asked with raised eyebrows after hearing the name of the reddish brunette detective, whom was part of the NYPD's elite Major Crimes Task Force and friend/ally to Spider-Man was now in Gotham!

"Montoya, Sheridan and SWAT are enroute to the Cauldron. Apparently, Ruiz and his associates are meeting with a buyer at Tunney's Salvage yard regarding a drug deal."Night answered truthfully as she informed Catwoman on how Ruiz and the remaining members of his unit were meeting with a buyer at Tunney's Salvage on Bleake Island to sell the drugs they had stolen the past five years and that Renee, Eric and the GCPD's SWAT unit were on their way to stop it.

"Alright, I'll meet them there." Catwoman stated with the light grin still on her face before she and her digitized partner broke contact.

Although as soon as she broke contact with Night...the cat masked vigilante stared in genuine surprise: as Black Cat had vanished and was nowhere to be seen!

"Heh...she's good. She's really good." Catwoman softly stated with an amused smirk on her face as she was impressed at how Black Cat was able to vanish/sneak away without being detected just like her before she drew out her grapple gin and fired a line as she shot her upward into the night sky.

Although, unbeknownst to Catwoman...as soon as she drew out her grapple gun and propelled herself across the night sky, Black Cat had been watching her from the roof an apartment building adjacent from the museum.

"Tunney's Salvage, Bleake Island...interesting." The white haired woman stated with a coy smile on her face...as she was secretly aroused from Catwoman seductively brushing the tip of her finger against her lips.

~Meanwhile at Tunney's Salvage, Bleake Island~

It was currently 11 pm as Ruiz, Park, Davies and the remaining members of their unit, whom were wearing casual/street clothes were waiting patiently for their mystery buyer with a 2007 Chevy Express box truck parked a few feet behind them. Fortunately for Emilio and his ring of corrupt cops, they didn't have to wait long...as a Mercedes-Benz CLS coupe, along with two Hummer H2 SUV's arrived and pulled into the salvage yard. As soon the Mercedes park inside junkyard, a 40 year old man of Mediterranean descent with olive skin, grayish black hair, reddish brown eyes and wearing an expensive business suit climbed out of the coupe whilst four men climbed out of the two Hummers.

"Emilio Ruiz?" The olive skinned man asked while speaking in a clear American accent as he approached Ruiz with his men standing back in the background, along with the Puerto Rican's.

"That's me. I take it you're the man I spoke over the phone?" Ruiz answered.

"Indeed, I am. I am here on behalf of my employer, who I hope you understand, in this line of business wishes to remain anonymous." The olive skinned man replied, confirming that he was indeed the individual the Puerto Rican spoke to over the phone while claiming he was attending to the deal on behalf of his employer, whom wished to keep his identity a secret.

"I understand. Did you bring money we agreed upon?" Ruiz stated, showing that he understood how the mystery buyer wanted to remain anonymous and asked his associate if he and his people brought the money with them.

"We did. Did you bring the product?" The olive skinned man answered, confirming that he and his people brought the money they agreed upon while asking Ruiz if he and his people brought the drugs.

"Davies." Ruiz stated plainly as he turned to his right hand man, whom simply nodded as he and Park walked towards the Chevy box truck, unlocked/opened the rear door and revealed the contents: which consisted on numerous bricks of cocaine, heroin and meth!

"Hmm, lovely. Very lovely. My employer shall be very pleased." The olive skinned man stated with a soft grin as he nodded his head, showing he was very pleased by the sight of the street drugs Ruiz and his group were offering them.

"Do we have a deal or not?" Ruiz softly demanded as Schmidt, Becker, Coleman and Ofc. Adler glanced around the salvage yard with their left/right hands resting on the holsters carrying their sidearms.

"Indeed, we have a..." The olive skinned man answered, stating that they indeed had a deal before stopping in mid-sentence...as he, his and Ruiz's heard the unmistakable sound of sirens approaching.

"What the hell is that?" He demanded while reaching behind his back and pulling a Beretta 92FS handgun while his men pulled out SIG-Sauer 226R/P229R handguns and TEC-9 machine pistols.

"Cops!" Park answered for his boss as four GCPD issued sedans and two Lenco Bearcats parked parralel outside the salvage yard with Renee and Eric, whom were wearing police issued ballistic vests, exited the first sedan and knelt down while drawing out their Glock.

"GCPD! You're all under arrest!" Montoya exclaimed as their fellow cops and SWAT officers exited their vehicles got into the kneeling position with their weapons drawn out.

"Lower your weapons or we'll be forced to shoot!" Sheridan automatically added after his partner as he ordered Ruiz, the remaining members of his unit and the people they were meeting to surrender.

"Yeah, right. Fuck you." Becker spat acidly as she drew out her Glock 17 and naturally fired four-five bullets at Montoya's and Sheridan's direction, which ricocheted off the hood of their cruiser as they ducked for cover!

"Ohh, we were hoping you'd do that." The reddish brunette stated with a sly smirk on his face, which his partner mirrored as he swiftly countered and fired four bullets that passed right through Becker's chest as she groaned/cried out before she stumbled backwards and collapsed to the ground!

"Kill them! Kill them all!" Ruiz shouted as he ordered his remaining officers to shoot back as he drew out his own Glock 17 and fired a burst of 6 rounds at the two homicide detectives as he took cover behind a wrecked Toyota sedan.

"Take them out, men!" Montoya shouted as she glanced her shoulder before she fired two rounds from her gun that struck a gunman arming a TEC-9 dead center in his chest, who let a simple yelp as he stumbled and collapsed to the ground!

"Yes, ma'am!" The GCPD SWAT officers cried out in unison as they advanced towards the salvage yard and opened fire on the outnumbered dirty cops and drug dealers.

"Renee, I'm going after Ruiz. I want the honor of slapping the cuffs on that bitch." Eric stated as he informed Montoya that he would be going after Ruiz: as he wanted to be the one to slap the handcuffs on the corrupt Puerto Rican cop for murdering two good men.

"Okay, we'll cover you." Renee softly stated as she granted her partner's request and ordered him to be careful as she fired four rounds from her Glock towards Davies, whom slid behind a wrecked Ford Focus for cover and ducked as he fired five rounds from his Sphinx-3000 handgun in retaliation!

As the heated firefight waged on, Sheridan swiftly broke out of cover and fired three precise shots while aiming at Park, whom groaned as he felt the 9mm rounds pass right through his chest and slumped back against the truck with his blood painting the right back door. Shortly after Park was dead, a SWAT officer armed with an MP5A3 fired a burst of eight rounds that instantly killed a gunman wildly firing his TEC-9, whom managed to hit a fellow SWAT officer in his vest and another SWAT officer managed to kill Off. Adler. Meanwhile, as the heated shootout continued and Ruiz took like the coward that he was with Eric pursing after him...Davies chased after him.

As the firefight between the GCPD and corrupt cops/drug dealers continued...the olive skinned man, had ran into the 1st Hummer and took out an MK. 67 hand grenade! However...before he could pull the pin, that was when something truly unexpected happened: as a customized stun grenade that appeared out of nowhere and rolled near his feet released a bright flash of light, which him to cry out and drop the grenade with pin still attached to it! As the olive skinned man attempted to recover from the bright flash...he stared in silent surprise: as he was greeted by a playful and flirtatious grin from a white haired woman and cried out as she landed a strong roundhouse kick to his face! Once the olive skinned man was unconscious, Montoya and the SWAT officers stared in silent surprise to what they just witnessed: the mysterious thief they had chasing after the past few days suddenly appeared and was helping them as she tossed two more customized stun grenades, which left the remaining cops and gunmen temporarily blinded...which made it extremely easy for her to knock the armed drug dealers out cold with lightning fast strikes that they were unable to defend from.

As soon as the effects of the flashbangs wore off, Officers Schmidt and Coleman stared in complete shock/bewilderment as they saw the gunmen who accompanied the olive skinned man were laying on the ground and the mysterious woman who helped the GCPD had just as quickly vanished without a trace! Before they could even ponder on what just happened, that was when Renee cleared her throat which earned their attention and turned to face with an army of SWAT officers aiming their MP5A3/A4 submachine guns and Colt M4A1/H HK416 assault rifles pointed directly at them.

"Either of you want to try your luck?" Montoya sarcastically asked with a casual grin on her face and arms crossed, demanding to know if the remaining two corrupt cops wanted to keep fighting even though they were outnumbered and outgunned!

"...We surrender." Schmidt and Coleman answered weakly as they dropped their Glock 17/SIG-Sauer P226R on the ground and got onto their knees as two SWAT officers handcuffed them and read them their Miranda rights.

"This is Det. Montoya to HQ. The drugs have been secured and nine suspects have been neutralized. Send a transport van, ASAP." Renee stated as she reached for her police issued radio and informed Comm. Yindel on how she, her partner and SWAT had recovered the drugs.

"Acknowledged Det. Montoya. the transport van is enroute to your location." Yindel replied.

~Meanwhile in another part of the salvage yard~

After he witnessed everything he and his unit had planned and the deal worked so hard to put together fall apart, Ruiz naturally decided to cut his losses and tried to escape...even he ended up running through a 'maze' in the junkyard before ultimately hitting a dead end.

"Ruiz!" A male voice cried out behind him and a glare slowly formed on the Puerto Rican's face...as he turned to face none other than Det. Sheridan.

"Don't even think about it." Eric stated bluntly as he had Glock 19 out and aimed directly at Ruiz, whom glanced at his Glock 17.

"What's the matter Sheridan? Don't have the nerve?" The corrupt detective sarcastically asked, demanding to know if the reddish brunette didn't have it in him to shoot him.

"Believe me...I'd love nothing more than to shoot you. But I'd rather see you rot in prison." Sheridan answered plainly, showing that he wanted nothing more than to shoot the corrupt detective...while claiming he'd prefer sending him to prison where he belonged.

"Ohh, you fuckin' naive boy scout. Wake up! There are no more good cops in this city Sheridan! All the good cops died during the Arkham Knight/Scarecrow incident! And I learned this much during my time in this sorry excuse of a 'police force': take what you can...when you can." Ruiz coldly spat as he bluntly told the reddish brunette to 'open his eyes' while claiming that there were no actual good cops 'left' in the GCPD: stating how they all died at the hands of Scarecrow's and the Arkham Knight's men and the only cops left were people like him and his team, who looked out for themselves!

"Ohh, and Henderson and Muller weren't good cops?!" Sheridan acidly spat back while pointing out on how on the Puerto Rican and his entre unit of corrupt cops had murdered two good men in cold blood!

"They got in mine and my team's way...just like you and Montoya." Ruiz coldly answered, stating how both Muller and Henderson were merely 'thorns' in his and his unit's sides...and smiled: as he spotted his 2nd in command sneaking up behind the brunette homicide detective.

"Lights out Sheridan. Any last words?" Davies stated plainly with a dark grin on his face as he aimed his Sphinx-3000 directly at the back of Eric's head and demanded to know if he had anything to say as he pulled back on the hammer.

"Funny you should say that...cause I was about to ask you the same thing." A female voice suddenly called out, which caused Davies to gasp in shock, along with Ruiz...as they and Sheridan glanced up to see Catwoman diving directly towards them from the sky and tossing a single pair of bolas, which automatically snared Davies and pinned his arms to his sides and forced him to drop his handgun!

As soon as Davies was immobilized, Catwoman finished him off: as she swiftly performed a headstand and interlocked her legs around the defenseless corrupt cop's neck as she forced/knocked him to the ground on his side and knocked him unconscious with a strong kick to his face!

"Tony! Why you fucking meddling bi...!" Ruiz exclaimed in complete dismay and shock as he witnessed Catwoman take his right hand man out and snarled as he aimed his Glock 17 right at her...before crying out and falling onto his back: as Eric fired a single bullet that struck him in his right shoulder!

"Not so fast." Sheridan stated plainly as he withdrew his Glock and placed it back into its holster.

"Thanks for that Detective." Catwoman stated casually as she thanked the reddish brunette for saving her life.

"Anytime. Besides, I should be thanking you Catwoman." Eric replied as he thanked the cat masked vigilante for dealing with Davies before he had blown his head off.

"Yeah, well...we're even." She stated plainly.

"You should get out of here. I'll tell the other cops it was just me." Sheridan stated as he advised Catwoman to take off while claiming that he would tell Montoya and SWAT that he had taken down and apprehended Davies and Ruiz himself.

"Okay, I'm outta here. See you and Montoya around." Catwoman stated as she gave Eric an approving nod before she drew out her grapple gun, fired a line and disappeared into the night sky with the brunette looking on with a sight smile before turning to Ruiz, whom was panting heavily and struggling to stay conscious.

"Emilio Ruiz, you're under arrest for the murders of Officer Alan Henderson and Det. Joe Muller. Anything you say, can and will be used against you in a court of a law." Sheridan stated as he handcuffed Ruiz and read him his rights, which was the exact moment Renee and three SWAT officers found him and arrested Davies...even though the SWAT officers were slightly baffled to seeing Ruiz's 2nd in command already tied up with the bolas around him.

~Meanwhile with Catwoman~

After she had assisted Eric in taking down both Davies and Ruiz, the cat masked vigilante secretly witnessed the GCPD load the corrupt Puerto Rican cop, the remaining members of his unit and the drug dealers into a single GCPD issued transport van. Although, as she watched the transport van take off, along with the rest of the cops...a light smirk spread on Catwoman's lips as she sensed a presence behind her.

"...Very impressive. Your stealth skills are practically similar to mine." Catwoman stated as she turned around...and was greeted by an all too familiar white haired woman standing a few feet away from her.

"You knew I was here...didn't you?" Black Cat asked with a soft and sly grin on her face as she wasn't that surprised the slightly older woman somehow sensed her.

"Thank you for helping the cops with those gunmen." Catwoman stated as she thanked the white haired woman for assisting Renee and the SWAT officers in taking out the remaining corrupt Tactical officers and drug dealers.

"Yeah, well...if there's one thing I cannot stand, it's cops who abuse their privilege and betray their oaths to uphold the law." Black Cat replied casually while stating the only reason she helped was because she despised dirty cops: as she had seen her fair share of police corruption back in New York and wasn't surprised to find the GCPD to be corrupt as well.

"You and me both." Catwoman stated, showing that she despised corrupt cops as well.

"By the way...here." Black Cat stated as she reached behind her back and tossed Catwoman a brown leather pouch, which she naturally caught and immediately knew what was inside.

"The Emerald Scarab? You're just giving it to me?" Catwoman asked as she was slightly baffled to why the white haired woman was handing her the Emerald Scarab after going through all the trouble of stealing it from the Gotham Museum!

"Ehh, I don't really need it. There are always other rare artifacts I can steal. Besides...the real reason I stole the Scarab was to meet you." Black Cat answered with a casual shrug, stating how she didn't really need the extremely rare Egyptian artifact and pointing out on how there were other marks she could steal from...while revealing the true reason she swiped the Scarab was to meet the cat masked vigilante, much to her genuine surprise!

"See you later." She softly added as she turned around to leave.

"Hey, what's your name?" Catwoman asked as she was curious to learn the white haired woman's name.

"...Black Cat. Be seeing you around...Selina." Black Cat answered while turning to face Catwoman and blowing her a kiss before leaping/diving off the building and rappelling herself upward into the sky with her own grapple gun.

"Heh, looking forward to it." Catwoman stated with a soft smile on her face at the seductive gesture Black Cat sent her way and was looking forward to seeing her again.

~Meanwhile in the Diamond District~

In the den of a high rise building, a man whom was sitting casually in a recliner chair and staring at the fire place with a wine cup in his right hand as a younger man in his late 30's and wearing a business suit entered the room.

"Sir, I'm afraid I have some...unfortunate news." The younger man stated as he inform the man in the recliner, whom was no doubtingly his employer that he had bad news to share with him.

"What happened?" The man in the recliner asked plainly while speaking in an American-Japanese accent.

"The business transaction at the Cauldron...did not go as planned. Deacon and several of our men were arrested along with Det. Ruiz and his fellow officers." The younger man answered as informed his employer of the events that took place at the salvage yard on Bleake Island.

"Call Sebastian, have him bail Deacon and our people out...and make a call to have Ruiz and his people silenced." The man in the recliner stated with a light glare forming on his face as he stared at the flames in the fireplace as he instructed the younger man to call someone, who was no doubtingly their lawyer to have their men released from police custody...and to have Ruiz and the remaining Tactical officers killed in prison.

"It shall be done." The younger man replied as he bowed his head softly before exiting the room to do as his employer/master ordered.
