The Tournament of Power is a HUGE and LONG arc in Dragonball Super. So many characters and fights, it's astounding! So, to reflect that, the next few chapters are going to be in this particular arc. I will admit, I will not be able to keep up with EVERY SINGLE character in the Tournament of Power. However, I will be using characters that are the most prominent, like the Universe 6 Sayajins and Jiren. I love this story as it is giving me a challenge in my worst aspect as a writer, fighting scenes. I still struggle with this but I think I am slowly progressing in it. (As my ballet instructor once stated: perfection takes patience and practice!) Thus, I apologize in advance if the next few chapters seem off to you readers :). Also, I will probably get a little more flack for what is about to happen and all I can say is this: If you don't like a story, you are welcome to stop reading it. It's as simple as that. (shrug)
A big question I am getting all over the place : Will the Seireitei make an appearance at the tournament? (me grinning) You'll just have to read to find out…

Chapter 29: The First Release
Vegeta was not one to miss an opportunity for a good all out brawl. Now that his second child was born, he could participate in the Tournament of Power.
Participate he did…With ruthless abandonment.
It was a glorious high to a Sayajin prince, to be locked in a high stakes battle. Now, with the newest stage called Blue under his belt of strength, there would be no stopping him.
At one point in the maylay, he happened to see Freiza battling Goku's adoptive daughter. The girl held no powers of her own save for that black wave of hers and now that it was utterly useless, she was as well. Getting rid of her was definitely a coward's way out, thus Vegeta kept his distance. Though now, she was proving to be useful…On high, Vegeta noticed Frieza was preoccupied with her; the Icejin wouldn't notice a blast heading his way…the perfect opportunity for a bit of revenge.
As Freiza readied his final blow so too did Vegeta. The Sayajin prince had to wait for the opportune moment so that it wouldn't look like he was helping the girl. Like he would help some little weakling anyway. Who cared?
He readied the perfect attack when something made him stop. A…Presence…Yes…That was the best way to explain it…Something…Or rather…Someone was nearby. Quickly he looked around the battlefield. All fighters still within the arena were concentrating on their own fights. There was no one nearby to give such a strong presence. Why…Why did it feel…Familiar?
He turned back to the ground and first noticed Freiza pointing a shaking finger at something, the alien snake's eyes wide. Vegeta followed Freiza's gaze; the Sayajin prince nearly fell to the ground, his concentration gone for a brief second as his eyes gazed upon not Kira, who's style of clothing hadn't changed from that god awful black robe those shinigami wore…But the weapon in her hand.
A long, heavy European style sword, with a black handle and bone straight hand guard, clutched in tense fingers. A very familiar sword…One seen several times before. It was the sword that brought down Freiza, Cold, and Zamasu; he very weapon Vegeta had admonished a half-blood Sayajin at wielding.
"What in the hell!?" He shouted, his feet touching the ground as Kira silently stood. The girl…The girl was holding Mirai Trunks' sword…His future son's sword!
Freiza had recognized the heavy metal piece as well. Fear and shock were replaced by a rage that forced Freiza's hand. A wave of energy headed straight for Kira, who stood still as a statue.
She spoke one word and one word alone.
"Stop."
The energy wave seemed to slow down until it completely froze in mid air, inches from her face. It did not disappear, it merely floated with stillness.
Vegeta broke out of his shocked state and glared. Whatever the hell was going on would be handled later, he had battles to win. He made to float away when he too, was suddenly stopped, frozen inches from the ground. He wasn't the only one who had been stilled. So too was Freiza, the alien's angered face fixated upon Kira and his hand out ready to unleash another wave of energy. Still as stone Freiza stood, though his eyes darted back and forth, a clear sign he was aware of his state.
There was that presence again and Vegeta knew instantly it was his futuristic child, the one that perished not long ago. He could not see Kira but his vantage point allowed him full view of Frieza's frozen form.
"Forward." The moment Kira spoke the second word, Vegeta watched Freiza's form change. Second after second Freiza seemed to be growing older…and older…Until the Ice-jin was nothing more than dust in the wind. Freiza gone, whatever force was holding Vegeta let him go and for a brief moment he staggered, his senses taking a few seconds to get back together.
"Ugh…Head rush…" He turned around and saw Kira hold a hand to her temple, squinting her eyes in slight pain. She noticed the heavy weighted sword in her hands and held it up gasping. "Whoa…"
I've no time for this crap. Vegeta flew off for his next battle, shelving what he just witnessed later.
Kira just gapped at the sheer weight and bulk of the sword in her hand. Was this it? Her Zanpakutou? It wasn't a katana, that's for sure. Add to the fact that she just, basically, wiped Freiza from existence in a matter of seconds…
Time is our power, Kira. Use it wisely…And…Don't move or the time stream will be broken.
She understood the words completely. She could stop, reverse, or rewind time, however, she couldn't move whilst doing it. A pretty cool power but…
"I'm vulnerable when I use it." She spoke the words out loud, frowning. She stopped two people, Freiza and Vegeta but…
An attack sent her back to reality, instead of dodging she smacked it away with her Zanpakutou. She watched the attack careen across the arena, hitting someone in the back by accident. The force was so strong that the person was abruptly flung out of the arena.
"Uh…Oops…" Kira couldn't believe that just happened. Sure she was strong but…Not THAT strong, was she? Had she really hit it so hard to go careening clear across the arena?
Behind her mind's eye she heard a chuckle.
I'm half Sayajin, Kira…My power is also your power…What does that tell you?
She stood still. Was he serious!?
"Oh hell no I am NOT going blonde!" She huffed out and she felt his laughter in her thoughts. "Shut up, will you?" She gazed at the black band around her wrist. It was supposed to stop any power deemed too much for the tournament, guess her new found strength didn't cut it. A lingering question fell from her lips. "What do you think would happen…If I won this thing?"
Hell if I know…Though I seriously doubt that will happen, Kira…With Goku and my father here…One of them is bound to win. Though, between you and me…I would place my bet on Goku and Goku alone.
Though she had to agree, something made her think about the way the rules were set.
"Goku and everyone can't help me," She said out loud, "but…That doesn't mean…I can't help them.."
She felt the wide smirk of his, agreeing to her assumption. Kira held a wide grin as well; mischief abruptly became the word of the day. Flinging the heavy sword over her shoulders she looked around, eyeing her first target. She was in a very serious "mess with me and find out" mood right now, and it felt great. For once in her life she felt powerful…and in control.
"Let's go cause some trouble…"
