Angel: Just to be clear, because I'm following up what I said last chapter, if people want to encourage me on how this story could've been handled, fine. I'm not one to deny criticism. However, once again, whether you think the OVAs are poorly written or not, you still don't attack the writers for it because they're just doing their jobs. Plus, I would think that the creator of the manga had some say in these OVAs themselves or at least knows about them. So why go after the writers when they're just doing what's asked of them? Even if they're canon or not, the OVAs don't really need to be analyzed this much.

Not to mention, the claim of this fanfic being well-written or me being the best writer I can be, no matter how many people say this, I will NEVER get on board in agreeing with these. Not because I'm too hard on myself or anything like that, but I just don't see this fanfic being 100% well-written. The first few chapters or so are sloppy, and this has been said in reviews before, which I see why. And the movies themselves could've been paced better. Not to mention all of the spelling errors in the past, and it still happens every now and then. If I had to be generous, I'd put this fanfic at like 8 or 9 of my best fanfics in terms of writing on a top ten list.

More egregiously though, I have never said I'm the best writer, and if I have, then I was stupid back then. I started writing fanfics back in high school and even then, I was only decent at the time. The best word I'd use to describe me is most-improved because obviously I used my time to get better, not to be the best. Those are way too high standards when for me, writing is not my whole life, it's more so a fun hobby. So, no, I don't strive to be the best because that's not what I want for myself, and I don't need to be the best either. Please do not tell me to be the best writer ever, because that'll never happen, which I'm fine with. And if people still think I'm the best, it's appreciated, but I don't really want to be put on a pedestal here. And I promise this is the last time I address the guest behind reviews like this.

Rain rippled onto the ground, hitting the big green leaves. Raindrops fell from the rooftop as the whole village was seemingly inside from the pouring rain. However...the rain also gave an unhappy atmosphere as well from the people...and they were all gathered for one simple reason.

"Show your face again and you're dead!" A man threatened angrily and then threw a rock...through a window of a house. The glass broke into pieces to form a hole. And he wasn't the only furious person either, he was surrounded by a mob of people who were on the same page as him. Enough that they would wanna damage the house... "Heteromorphs should be kept in cages!" He threw another rock, followed by someone else doing the same.

"You're impure!"

They continued to throw more rocks, and someone kneeled onto the ground. "You tricked us into letting you stay!" Another one accused towards the occupant inside.

"Leave this town!"

"You'll defile our land!"

The water crashed as two feet stepped forward. "No matter what happens or how much time passes, we will never, never accept your kind, monster!" A shadow then looked out to the raging river in front of them...

Spinner gritted his teeth angrily, remembering all of the hate and discrimination that he went through growing up...things that he didn't think that he'd have to go through, and yet he did. And he already knew that he wasn't alone. If he was, then he wouldn't have so many people on his side, other heteromorphs that went through very similar experiences. And all of them had something to say about how society treated them in the past. Which was why they all gravitated to Spinner, because to them, he was their god. Even though he never thought of himself as leader. Clearly, All for One and Shigaraki were more suited for that when someone was talking about the League itself. However...neither of them could also really relate to the discrimination of heteromorphs like Spinner either. Shigaraki came close, but he was still a human. So it all did make sense...and why Spinner was going to use that title to lead his army to victory.

Before I got back to UA and news of Dabi's defeat was first spreading across the country...

And while Katsu, myself, and the rest of us were dealing with our respective opponents throughout the 8 locations for our plan...

In front of Central Hospital

Spinner swung down his giant weapon of blades...as he had grown into a monstrous size. He pointed forward while surrounded by his heteromorph army. "Charge into that hospital and rescue Kurogiri!" He ordered everyone on his side.

Among the bioengineered High-End Nomu...only one of them might be called a masterpiece. Kurogiri.

Who no one else knew until he was visited by Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic...that Kurogiri was actually Oboro Shirakumo. Someone who was close friends with the two...and had died a long time ago. His corpse had been retrieved by Garaki and then was...used to make Kurogiri. It was no wonder why Mr. Aizawa was scared that I might've turned into him.

When All for One figured out we were holding his servant at Central Hospital...he sent Spinner, a Paranormal Liberation Front leader, to retrieve him.

Central Hospital had Koda, Shoji, and heroes like Present Mic or Locklock there to hold them back. However...none of them were really expecting Spinner to be able to power up thanks to All for One.

Former PLF members and ordinary citizens who shared their ideology joined the mission. In all, their forces numbered almost 15,000.

A number that wasn't nearly enough for our heroes to face off on their own...especially when our own side had limited numbers from the very beginning of this war.

The crowd of heteromorphs raged as a fire broke out, caused by one of the heteromorphs. "Light 'em up!" One of them shouted towards the police.

"Yeah!" The fire-wielder tossed his fire in front of some police officers that were armed.

"Again!"

"Secure the perimeter!" One of the police squad members screamed as they stood their ground.

"Don't get pushed back!"

"Pull a path through them!" The heteromorphs tried their best to get past the police.

Standing in their way...were a few heroes...and whatever police could be spared.

Locklock used his hand against one of the shields to keep it in place. Present Mic jumped onto the crowd, leaping up into the sky.

And even though they would try their best...it was evidently clear that they were outnumbered.

A group of 200 against an army.

An army that we only have the efforts of the PLF to thank...not to mention that they all ultimately shared one goal by being there with Spinner. One that they would fight to see come to fruition. I...unfortunately know what that's like.

Jeez, Shirakumo, is this all for you? Present Mic thought, a bit unnerved that this many people would go to this length just to get Kurogiri back. Probably to ensure that they would succeed...most of them hadn't even met Kurogiri, only Spinner really knew him. And that was because Kurogiri had been locked up for a while now. Not that it put the League or the Liberation at a major disadvantage until now. When'd you get so popular? He gritted his teeth and let out a sonic yell towards the crowd of heteromorphs. Lookout Shout!

A female heteromorph held up her hand. A taller, blue-skinned heteromorph then absorbed the attack, not getting hurt at all. Present Mic opened his mouth in shock. A meat shield?

A winged heteromorph flew towards him, and he gasped as...his opponent was holding a pitchfork. Someone then swooped in to save the man before he could get hit. The heteromorph himself crashed into a window. A bunch of birds had been the savior of Present Mic.

"Sir!" Koji ran up while the birds flew back to him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, thanks to you, Anima!" Present Mic slid to a stop next to him, looking up at the crowd. "Where's Tentacole?"

"We got split up in the fighting," Koji glanced up at him, and then stared at the crowd again. "I've been looking for him everywhere, but...this is chaos!" With a group of almost 15,000 heteromorphs that were filling up the entire block around the hospital...it would be impossible to find Mezo in the midst of it all. And it was likely that Mezo would have his own trouble finding his classmate or the other heroes on his own as well.

Someone held up a laser gun and fired, shocking one of the army members. He fell to the ground with a grunt. The police were using their shock guns to take down as many members possible. "Squad Leader, we're gonna be overrun!" Their shock weapons wouldn't be nearly enough to take down the entire army, even if they exhausted themselves doing so. "We need reinforcements!"

"We're not getting any reinforcements!" The monkey officer called out, knowing that they couldn't spare anyone from the other 7 locations to assist. And they already knew that they would not be getting any help from any foreign heroes after what happened to Star and Stripe. So unfortunately, this was the best that any of them could do. Not helped by the fact that the police didn't really have any strong Quirks to fend off the huge army that was taking over the whole area. "Hold the line with your taser shields!" He then gritted his teeth towards the number of people. Damn it! They've already got us outnumbered. Now they're trying to split us up too?

"Take their gear!" One of the army members yelled as a whole group were already starting to overwhelm Locklock.

"We knew we'd be facing a mob," He gritted his teeth, trying to defend himself as best as he could. "How the hell did they get so organized?!" He knew that the PLF was large in numbers even with the amount that they had managed to put into prison. But never did he think that they'd be this articulate to overpower them.

"What'd he call us?" One of them asked angrily as they took offense to this. Especially since they were doing this to get themselves to live normal lives. And most of them had been through enough angry mobs or people growing up...so they wanted no association with that word anymore. None of them would even come close to what those mobs did to them...at least, in their minds. "Gag him!"

"Tie him up!"

"We're not a mob!"

"Gimme his hands!"

"You people are always like this!"

"No one who looks human knows how we feel," One of them looked at Locklock in the eyes furiously. "You couldn't understand!" Locklock looked up at him with...a bit of dread, because he could tell that they weren't going to back down. Nor did he really know what they had been through as the way they were...because unfortunately, they had a point. He never really looked into heteromorphs and their history, nor was he close with any of them. The most interaction he had with heteromorphs was working on missions with them on occasion...so he never stopped to wonder what life had been like for them.

One of the police officers got pushed onto the ground, shielding himself. A heteromorph was attacking him with a baseball. In fact, several of the heteromorphs were now successfully fighting back against the police squad. "You like that?!" The one with the bat shouted while slamming it against the shield repeatedly.

"Crush them!"

"Break through!"

"You can't stop us!"

"These are our streets!"

Koji looked back with a sharp gasp as he was then knocked down by a whole group of heteromorphs. "Got 'em!"

"Another one down!"

"They're not tough!"

One of them pulled at Koji's mask. "No!" He cried out as it was ripped off his face, looking up in fear. "Wh-why are you doing this? You've got to stop!" He pleaded with the heteromorph in front of him.

"Ya sound like a city kid," He growled down at the boy, laying down to glare at him face-to-face. "Yeah. You're a traitor to your kind!" Poor Koji could only look up in terror, because...he never expected strong feelings like this from people who were just like him...and it wasn't like he wasn't unaware of it, but...he was also never really exposed to it either.

Fires continued to burn within the crowd as the heteromorphs fought back hard. "Rage on, good citizens!" A black-hooded one leading them called out from on top of a roof. "Today is the day of your liberation! They send us to Quirk counseling and Quirk education! But we know that these are shams!" He enjoyed the chaos going on below as the police were trying their best to fight back, despite the limited numbers. "Ways they can pretend to help those who look like us." Blood then spilled onto the streets... "The Six-Six Incident. The Great Jeda Purge! From the beginning, the 'paranormal' has led to the persecution of those who are different." He remembered stories of when heteromorphs got overwhelmed by a crowd of humans and then beaten onto the ground, despite their pleas for them to stop...even when they didn't fight back. Some were even killed or mortally wounded... "And what excuses do they use to massacre us? One man with blood on his hands simply said we creep him out. The world wants you to believe its bigotry is in the past." Principal Nezu, the Hosu Chief, and some heteromorphs joining the police would've been good examples of heteromorphs getting more respect...if that all wasn't just a facade to the 15,000 army members. Because despite the acceptance of others...the rest of the heteromorphs out there were still treated like scum, or they still had to endure that treatment growing up. It wasn't something that history could just cleanse or make go away no matter how much people tried. "But make no mistake. They are feigning their remorse. Big cities are diverse melting pots, bastions of acceptance." Smoke came from the multiple fires, starting to engulf the area as the damage continued. "Oh, how highly educated they are! Certainly, they would never discriminate, right? Hah! And try leaving the city. You know what you'll find."

The hooded leader then took off his hood, revealing himself to have a long scar above his left eye, and claw-like fingers that were reached out from his cheeks to surround his face. He himself gained that scar from an attack one day. "People who look at you with fear and disgust. Even the strongest light can't illuminate the darkness when you're seen as a monster! My brethren, you have lived too long in the shadow of hate! Today, we create the light that will brighten our futures! I know what you've thought in moments of crisis." Present Mic continued to let out his Sonic Scream to attack. Locklock was using his power against the police squad shields, even though it wasn't doing much good. "If only I didn't look like this!" Koji let out a scream as he fought back against the ones attacking him.

A flag was planted in the midst of the heteromorph-police-hero war. And it said that 'Spinner is our Spokesperson', even having a picture of him. "The heroes worshipped far and wide don't fight for us!"

A police squad member let out a grunt as he slid across the ground, having been pushed back. He looked up as Spinner loomed over him with some army members. "He is the one who will lead us into a new era and a new society!"

"You won't stop us!"

"Whatever it takes!"

"Spinner speaks for everyone here!"

Spinner, whether he had fully accepted this or not, opened his mouth to release a lot of drool. The leader with the scar gave a big smirk.

Skeptic had sent a cell phone recording to everyone in the Paranormal Liberation front. "Liberate yourselves. Wipe out the vestiges of the establishment. See that Re-Destro's revolution becomes a reality," He was in a hidden location, surrounded by his tech while hard at work. "In the end, it doesn't matter if the League of Villains are true comrades who actually believe in our mission or not. We will mold them into the real thing. Champion their names and deeds!" And when it was over...Spinner might become the next Stain.

"Follow his lead!" One of them from Spinner's side shouted.

"Come on! This is what real justice looks like!" The other one ran off while Spinner stepped forward silently. He stared up ahead without any expression, still drooling...almost as if he was lost in thought about something. He certainly wasn't reacting to anything else around him.

Don't know what...man is saying. Ever since I got...new power from...All for One...mind keeps blanking out It was almost as if he was going through the same thing as Shigaraki when he and All for One were sharing the same body...but All for One wasn't controlling him. Instead, he just...felt like he was only meant to do one thing thanks to the new power that he received. Which was just to do what he was told. All that was important to him in this new form was getting Kurogiri back. And in his newly warped mind, there was no need for anything else. There didn't need to be anything else done, not even for the heteromorphs that he was trying to fight for earlier. The only thing that was to be fulfilled was the return of Kurogiri for Shigaraki.

"Speak!" The leader with the scar demanded Spinner from the roof. "What is our mission?"

Too many words...I just...do what I was told! He loomed over two police officers, swinging up his arms. "Find Kurogiri. Take him back!" He shouted as he was about to attack the police.

Suddenly, a bunch of Octoblows were dealt to him by Mezo himself in front of Spinner! "Octoblow!" He screamed, Spinner groaning in pain as he fell backwards.

"Who is this?"

"Not Spinner!" One of the heteromorphs shouted as they immediately noticed what was going on.

"Dumb move, ya bastard! Get him!" One of them yelled, several immediately running in to save their leader. Once they surrounded Mezo, they grabbed his limbs and his head.

"He's a traitor. Kill him!"

"A false hero. Tear 'im apart!"

Mezo was then forcibly pushed to the ground, grunting while trying to break free. One of them then stepped on his head to keep him from getting up. And unfortunately, this type of behavior wasn't new to him...

"Show your face again, and you're dead!" A man threatened angrily, surrounded by the mob. "Heteromorphs should be kept in cages!" He then threw another rock.

"You're impure!"

One rock then got through the window, breaking it into pieces.

Someone kneeled onto the ground. "You tricked us into letting you stay!" Another one accused towards the occupant inside.

"You'll defile our land!"

Mezo pressed his hand onto the ground hard...remembering fully well that this was no different from what he went through back at his old home. What he didn't understand...was why people like him were resorting to acting like the same, spiteful people that tormented them? To continue a cycle? A cycle that was already flawed from the start...turning into a mob that heteromorphs had to endure a lot no matter what age, he just didn't see the point. And attacking a hospital just didn't seem like the right direction for things to change with the heteromorphs. If anything, they were no better than villains. "What does any of what you're saying...have to do with attacking a hospital of all places?" He grunted out, causing the crowd around him to freeze and stop their yelling. "When the heroes were investigating Jaku Hospital..." He groaned from the amount of force being used against him. "The first thing they did was make sure the patients and staff were safe. They kept every person there out of harm's way...and protected innocent bystanders." This did include heteromorphs themselves, so...he already knew that heroes themselves didn't care what a citizen looked like. Just that...they were protected before the hospital was reduced to nothing. And only the heroes that day were the ones to die...not any of the heteromorphs or citizens. They had lost their homes and normal lives, yes, but...not the will to keep living.

Spinner was left in shock, his mouth open. M-Made sure hospital people...were safe?

"What about you?" Mezo implored the number of people around him. "Are you going to do that too?" He had to wonder if the heteromorphs were really okay with hurting innocent people inside of the hospital. When really, they were suffering just as much with their injuries. Injuries that some of them couldn't take care of themselves when they returned home...but there was no home to return to. The patients did nothing wrong, heteromorph or not. All they wanted was the best care possible, and he had to ask...were heteromorphs going to go that far just to make a statement for themselves?

"No matter what happens or how much time passes, we will never, never accept your kind, monster!"

A young Mezo looked out onto the raging river...having suffered injuries from the mob. So he was using bandages to cover the lower half of his own face. Not that he'd want to remove them even if they did heal...

"Why the silence, huh?!" Mezo demanded while bringing out his duplicate limbs, slamming them down. The ones surrounding him all flew backwards from the amount of force that he just dealt out against them. "Didn't think about everyone you could hurt?!" He cried out...his mask now off to reveal his face for the first time in years.

Spinner let out a growl, gritting his teeth. The leader with the scar stared at him in silence. "You'd better have a plan," Mezo spoke up again, gritting his teeth. "Cause if not...I will never be able to forgive you!" His face was elongated, no nose, and having an extended mouth. He also had scars around his lips and the back of his neck...because they were proof of his own endurance of what he went through growing up.

"So? Tell me your plan!" Mezo demanded of them, stepping forward. "I'm waiting! Just as I thought," He narrowed his eyes as he didn't get an answer. "That gives me even more reason to stop you here!" The fact that no one bothered to answer his question was all that he needed to know about them.

Koji looked up from his spot...as one of his birds had heard his classmate. That's Shoji's voice! He looked around while trying to pinpoint his friend's location.

Spinner stepped back, more so in confusion than being affected by Mezo's words. And part of that had to do with how his new power was still affecting his mind. Huh? What he talking about? He want...a plan? What hell wrong with this guy? There wasn't a plan required for getting Kurogiri back. To him, all they had to do was get past their opponents and set Kurogiri free. From there, he just thought he'd be fulfilling his purpose and let Kurogiri run out to do what he needed to...

Mezo stood his ground despite the silence, staring at them while guarding the police at the same time. "That kid looks messed up," One of the heteromorphs pointed out. None of them had ever seen someone to the extent of Mezo's scars...because they didn't ever get hurt that badly in attacks. And they could tell with how faded the scars were that...Mezo had them for a long time now. Which was why he had been covering his face for several years now.

"You see his scars?"

"Well, yeah," One of them looked over his shoulder. "But still." Just because Mezo looked like that, clearly showing that he too had been through a lot like them...didn't mean that they were suddenly swayed from their objective. Not when they had so much to fight for in their eyes.

"Tell 'im, leader! You laid the plan out before. We're destroying everything that persecuted us!" One of them cried out, clenching a fist.

"We'll do whatever you say, Spinner!" Another one shouted, standing by their leader's side.

"We'll grab Kurogiri, even if it means sacrifices!"

"Tell us your orders!"

Spinner started to feel...overwhelmed almost from all of the questions, including the one Mezo asked before. He felt like he was supposed to get Kurogiri, and bring him back to All for One. That was supposed to be the plan...but what would happen after? What specifically would satisfy the questions brought out in front of him? Their voices started to echo out for him...as he was drawing a complete blank. And he felt like he shouldn't even be questioning it, but...it was more so a feeling of being lost than anything else...

"What justice do you want us to enact for the cause? We're ready!" A cat heteromorph gritted his teeth as they looked at him imploringly.

"Give us your wisdom!"

"Tell us what to do!"

Spinner was starting to lose it as his eye swirled in different directions, feeling like no answer was the right one... "Dun matter to me," He declared with a blank expression, to the bewilderment of the others.

"He...doesn't care?"

"What...?"

"He's correct!" The leader with the scar yelled, getting their attention as they looked up. "He's saying that history is only made through bloodshed! Our leader is telling us that sacrifices and even death are unavoidable today!" The crowd looked to each other hesitantly because technically, Spinner never said any of that. So interpreting it to the way that the heteromorph with the scar was doing so...could be called a stretch. The one with the scar then narrowed his eyes at Mezo for questioning this. That damn kid. And Spinner too! They'll ruin everything He knew that the more Spinner hesitated to move or even think, the less time that they had to do what was necessary. And clearly, he wasn't going to let their treatment continue to go unpunished. So if he had to twist Spinner's words in order to do what was necessary, then he would. "Continue forward! To the hospital!"

The army of heteromorphs yelled as they charged forward with their weapons, moving towards the building.

"Think, Spinner," Mezo challenged while still protecting the police. The fire continued from behind them. "What you're doing here...will set us back 30 years." Doing this would only make things worse for their kind, not better. Because then humans would be terrified of them...just like how they were terrified of All for One when he first came about so long ago. And that would be a regression of history, not making things for the better for heteromorphs. He knew that this was not how they wanted to be acknowledged.

"You...no talk!" Spinner shouted as he straightened up, blood spiking from his body. Seriously? Now? His new body continued to fight back against him, unable to control it. Then again, he didn't have much time to properly maintain it...

"Iguchi..." All for One gave him a big grin. "If you have any trouble using the Body Bulk Quirk I gave you, try this. Think of it as a bonus gift," He held out two fingers...

No... Spinner thought as red spikes came from his body in all sorts of places. No! Don't care anymore!

"It's called Scalemail," All for One held out his hand, red energy coming from it. "With this, you'll finally have the power, defense, and appearance of a leader."

About...anything! He thought furiously while the spikes grew from his back...

"Oh, League?" Shigaraki wondered while holding a portable game system. He and Spinner were sitting next to each other surrounded by dead leaves, talking about video games. "I played that too. By myself, though."

Stop! Enough! The red spikes had surrounded him entirely...so that he now had a red, scaley body to enhance his appearance. He then lunged towards Mezo, who jumped backwards into the sky to get them away from the police. "No talking! More fighting!" Spinner declared in his newer form. Mezo held out his arms...only to get one of his hands cut off by the giant array of blades. He grunted in pain, watching the blood fly in front of him. Spinner let out a monstrous growl before something exploded from the window right between the two. And it was enough force to send both of them flying in opposite directions. Mezo continued to brace himself from the pain he was feeling.

"Shoji, you're hurt!" Koji noticed his injury from down below, wrestling with a heteromorph in front of him.

"Comrades!" The leader with the scar ran his mouth once again to continue riling up the army. "Our fearless leader's bravery gives us the courage to strike against our oppressors. Become martyrs for our cause! Any blood spilled on this day will bring rights to future heteromorphs!"

They all cheered from this declaration while Koji looked up in disbelief. Words were certainly powerful here, that was for sure...to the point where he didn't know how they were going to get the army to stop this. And unfortunately, there didn't seem to be a way to get them to listen. Koji gritted his teeth, squeezing his eyes shut from the amount of hate and pain being fueled...and it was getting to be too much.

This can't be happening. Not to him!

Most of Class 1-A were gathered together in the common room of Heights Alliance, having snacks and tea together. 'Shoji is...'

Mezo lifted down his scarf...showing his scars for the first time to his classmates of his own volition. "My parents didn't have these kind of appendages." Eijiro, Denki, and the twins stared in shock. Denki in particular let his tea drop from his mouth. "Our village hated me. After I came in contact with one of them, they banded together to beat me. Said it was a blood purification." Koji frowned sadly, since he couldn't relate. He never experienced that kind of treatment because he grew up in a different area...not to mention, his own parents made sure that he never grew up like that. He wished that he did know what it was like, considering Mezo was the only classmate he knew even went through such a thing. "Tokoyami, Koda, and the rest of you from cities might only know about this from books, but...in some towns, there are still people who don't hesitate to scar children like me," He reached out to gently touch his face.

"That's evil!" Mina gritted her teeth angrily from the story. Tsuyu's eyes were saddened as she never went through the same experience either. "We don't need people like them in the world!" She declared, wishing that people like that didn't even exist.

"Ashido..." Izuka spoke up, sitting on Katsuki's lap. She glanced up at the pink-skinned girl, her eyes softened. "You may say that, but...even without regarding how you look, there still exist people who don't understand. Or those who don't want to understand. All they'll do is act on instinct based on how they feel."

Mina flinched in realization that...Mezo wasn't the only one who was bullied. Her eyes saddened as she looked away, remembering that Izuka went through similar things. Even though technically, the girl willingly put herself through that so that Izuku wouldn't have to endure it alone. And so that people didn't bully him even further even if she had revealed her Quirk before trying to save Katsuki in middle school.

"That's nice to imagine, but...disparity is still far too common," Mezo explained, agreeing with Izuka.

"...Oh, crap," Minoru suddenly felt dread as he remembered something. "I think I called you something mean before."

"You're such a beast! It's amazing!" Hanta had complimented Mezo during Quirk Apprehension Day.

"Yeah, like a muscle-y octopus!" Minoru had said about his classmate's strength.

"I'm so sorry!" He stood in front of Mezo with tears falling from his eyes. "I swear, I never thought you were creepy! I was just being stupid, I promise!"

"Hey, it's natural to think of an octopus when you see my arms," Mezo chuckled a little, not even angry for it. He knew his arms were like one, and even his mug had an octopus picture on it. "My hero name is Tentacole, after all." He did choose that name on purpose, regardless of the comparisons. And he wasn't really bothered being called an octopus back then either. "I've also seen the lists people compile. The ones that point out which heroes they think look more like villains. We should be able to talk about stuff like this freely." Izuku's eyes saddened, having a feeling of how his classmate was treated, and...thinking about it was awful. He then glanced at his sister, who he imagined related to this the most. She was bullied just like Izuku was, and not even for a reason that was fair... "The thing is, since I'm a heteromorph who has scars, people make assumptions. It's the whole reason I wear a mask. I hide them, so people don't think I'm fueled by revenge..."

They all stared in silence as...they never questioned it before. It never really felt needed. But now...it was disheartening, though at the same time showed just who Mezo really was as a person...so even though he was okay talking about it, it was still upsetting hearing that their own classmate had to suffer like that to get to this point.

"That takes real strength," Fumikage commented after a few seconds.

"I've been through plenty of hard times in my life," He picked up his mug, taking a sip of his tea. He then looked at the swirling liquid. "I'll never forget them...But..." Mezo then remembered...that when he was younger and still in the village looking at the river...he saw a little girl in need of help. "I don't wanna dwell on bad memories." He had saved the little girl on his own... like a hero. "So instead...I'll cling to the one good memory I have. When my body was useful." And it was the only time in his past...that he remembered smiling. Because that little girl had cried gratefully to him for the rescue, regardless of who he was...

"You can't say there's only one good memory!" Mina, Denki, and Eijiro cried out in unison while diving forward. "That's too sad!" Tsuyu, Minoru, Koji, Mina, Eijiro, and Denki all surrounded the boy to hug his arms.

"We're gonna make a whole buncha good memories with you!" Mina promised him through her tears. "I swear!" Even if they were technically supposed to be in their second year, but that had to get delayed, they were going to spend the rest of their time after the war making sure Mezo had good memories with them.

"Nothing but good times!" Denki and Eijiro were on the same page as her. "A million more than the bad!"

"Hm," He simply agreed with a small nod, smiling.

"Oh, wow! He's so warm," Mina and Denki murmured happily from the warmth of his duplicate arms.

"These issues have been a problem for over 100 years," He looked towards Koji wistfully, seeing tears from his classmate's eyes. "A simple generation can't make everything better." The documentation of how heteromorphs were treated wasn't also nearly enough to make everyone change their minds on a whim. He knew that there needed to be just more than words to turn things around. Not that he expected them to so quickly.

Koji's head opened up further...as he now gained claws, remembering that talk well.

"For that reason...I wanna make sure the world I leave behind...is better than the one I know now. I'll become the coolest hero on Earth..."

Mezo swung past a building while Spinner crashed through the windows, breaking out again into the open.

"So the next generation has good memories."

Izuka slowly stood up, getting their attention. She slowly approached Mezo, taking his cup gently. "Shoji..." He looked up at her as she had a small smile on her face. "Thank you for sharing that with us, and being open about it. I know it's not easy to talk about it...because I too never forget how I used to be before I came to UA. I may not relate in appearance, but...I do know what it's like when people make assumptions about you, and treat you differently for it. I guess you and I have some stories to share sometime, huh? To show them that we're not who they think we are! Because we're all gonna be great heroes and inspire change, right?" Her smile got a little brighter as his eyes shook a little. He looked towards the others, who were mostly smiling in agreement with her. Mezo then bowed his head with a small smile on his face, hoping that he could open up to them more.

"...Thank you..." He murmured softly to the girl, and...if he had been classmates with Izuka in middle school, then he would've helped her when she got bullied. Because even back then, the girl was someone he knew would understand. Just because she wasn't a heteromorph...didn't mean that she didn't grasp what life was like for them.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes a little bit as he watched, approaching her from behind. And not because he was jealous. But...well, because he was someone that did used to bully Izuka and make her feel like she was lesser than she was. And he couldn't stand for that. Especially since he was her boyfriend now, and he would not let that be who he was anymore to her. Not after she confessed to him how his treatment of her in the past made her felt, so he was going to start making up for that as soon as possible.

"Time for bed," He then picked her up and hauled her over his left shoulder, to her shock.

"Huh?! Wait, Katsu!" She protested as he took her away towards the elevator, the others looking on sheepishly. They already could tell that this had to do with what she just said to Mezo...

"Shut up! You're getting a bunch of kisses and snuggles every night until we're dead and gone, and I don't wanna hear a thing about it," Katsuki retorted back, causing her to blush deeply as her brain started to break a little. Because...well, she had no idea where that came from all of a sudden. Not that she hated the idea, but she didn't know why he was doing this seemingly out of nowhere.

"Aww, that's so cute!" Ochaco gushed a little towards them.

"Bazuka's not holding back, are they?" Mina giggled towards them in amusement, waving towards them. "Give us all the details later, Mido!"

"W-What? Put me down, can't we talk about this?!" She hid her red face with her hands, feeling a little embarrassed. "Plus...I'm probably heavy."

"You are not, don't give me that crap. I just...wanna make sure that I'm fulfilling my promise," Katsuki closed his eyes, looking away as his face was trying not to turn red. He had to make sure he was being a good boyfriend, after all.

Mezo blinked at the two of them and gave a small chuckle, having a feeling that Katsuki was trying to make up for how he treated Izuka in his own way...

"I've faced persecution just like you!" Mezo declared while he and Spinner were up in the sky. "Nothing can justify how we've been treated, or what they've done to us! But this isn't going to help our cause!"

"A bunch of the shelters turned me away," The heteromorph woman Izuku saved was in tears while explaining why she came to UA. "They said they weren't letting any heteromorphs inside..."

"Don't care!" Spinner screamed, climbing up the building. "We're destroying everything!"

"THINK ABOUT HOW YOU'RE USING YOUR ANGER!" Mezo gritted his teeth, as...he kind of reminded him of Shigaraki a little bit. And he would wonder if that was the motivation for Spinner's lack of care, but...that wasn't his concern right now. "The choices you're making!" He wrapped his right arm around with skin, swinging his fist forward while keeping himself in the air. "You know what it's like to be hurt, because people have hurt you!"

Some heteromorphs looked up after hearing him out, and...it was starting to get them to rethink. "You hear that?"

"We've tried to forgive and forget, but look where that got us!" The leader with the scar reminded all of them. "You're so naive, I might laugh! Would you have us do nothing to help ourselves? Brethren, he is a child's purview! But our hearts have been hardened by this world!"

A flock of birds came up behind him...dozens of them. "Don't you dare," Koji's voice growled out as the one with the scar looked back wide-eyed...seeing the top of Koji's head glowing like an emerald. "Don't you dare laugh...at Shoji!" He defended with tears falling from his eyes...crying because he knew that Mezo had been through a lot...and so had Izuka, even if not a heteromorph. But...he cried for them both because they had to suffer through so much to get to UA...and Izuka wasn't even immune from it after she enrolled.

Present Mic stared up ahead in silence, knowing that Koji knew the pain that his classmate had gone through... "Anima..." He murmured in sympathy for him, wishing that neither him or Mezo had to go through this...

He glanced up at Spinner and Mezo, the latter swinging at the boy. He moved out of the way to dodge it, striking back against the villain. He let out a growl as his arm was supported by even more of his Quirk, even if it gave him pain.

"Huh? So gross," Spinner deemed at the sight.

"Yeah," Mezo wasn't fazed, since he had been called that before. "But this is who I am!"

"Tentacole..." Present Mic whispered as he recalled why they were even here...

"Please. We'd like to be on the team assigned to protect Central Hospital," Mezo implored both Mr. Aizawa and Toshinori.

"And how do you know about that?" Their homeroom teacher wondered, since assignments weren't to be disclosed until later to the students. "We haven't told anyone our plan yet."

"There's a tall woman who had a difficult journey here," Mezo explained, referring to the heteromorph woman. She had told him of her story when he had the time. "I asked her to tell me about life on the outside."

"I know who you mean," Toshinori recognized her immediately, since he saw her when Izuku asked him to bring her to UA.

"There's more. The evacuees mentioned something. A call to action," He narrowed his eyes, as...this was personal. So he and Koji had to be there to set things right. "From what I heard, heteromorphs from across the country are heading toward Central Hospital right now. I'd like to be the one to face them."

"If Shoji's going..." Koji stepped up a bit. "Then I'm going too!"

Mr. Aizawa and Toshinori glanced to each other, not sure if they should agree, given the circumstances... "If I run away from this...if I ignore it...I'll never be able to call myself a hero," Mezo explained, knowing that...for him to be a hero being a heteromorph...it would only arise more hate towards heteromorphs. That people would start to think that Mezo was only allowed through deceptive circumstances. And he couldn't go on letting people believe it.

Mr. Aizawa closed his eyes in thought, having a feeling that if he didn't let them go...they'd be able to find their way to Central Hospital. Katsuki and the twins were big influences on their class, after all, and they would do the same if being told no. Present Mic stared from behind as he didn't disagree with the students.

"We put out a report saying he was transferred, but the enemy didn't take the bait," Mr. Aizawa spoke up as he and his friend walked together down the sidewalk. He would hope that the heteromorph army didn't go there, but they did...that would've at least given them the chance to further defend the hospital. And it would've helped with capturing them had they went to different locations. "Sorry to ask this, Yamada. But can you be there to support my students?"

He ran as fast as he could, glaring up at Spinner. Dang, Mr. Aizawa. The Quirks our kids have get stronger with every class He then took a deep breath...knowing that the students had gotten much stronger to get to this point. They worked hard...and their efforts would definitely pay off in this war. Look at them Mezo let out a yell as he fell towards Spinner. These young heroes? They're so much stronger than we were back when we called ourselves the Three Dumbingos Koji continued to control the flock of birds, the glow from his head shining brighter.

"Listen, Koji," Mrs. Koda spoke up gently, watching her son jump up and down next to her. "Now, I can't be certain about this, but your horns might grow big too," She then pointed to the top of her own head. "Those horns'll be useful. They'll let you communicate with far away animals so you can tell them how you feel."

He nodded silently with a smile, hugging his stuffed rabbit.

"When I was much younger, some people were mean to me because of how I looked. But luckily, your dad stood up to those awful people for me. He said my horns were beautiful, and that they shouldn't laugh." And...that was the reason why she fell in love with him. And he was the only one who stood up for her that day... "So, Koji. If you care about a person...don't let anybody laugh at them. Stand up and get mad in a good way."

He narrowed his eyes...as he stood true to his mother's words now. Hitchcock...Birds! The birds then carried away the leader with the scar, to his bewilderment as he fell off the roof. The birds continued to fly towards him to pin him down.

Meanwhile, at the nearby building, Spinner grabbed hold of the outside wall, growling.

Present Mic opened his mouth to let out a sonic scream towards Spinner, breaking his blades into pieces entirely. The heteromorph villain let out a shocked gasp at what just happened.

"Octo...spansion!" Mezo cried out, punching Spinner with his fist and flying past him...almost like how Izuku would with One for All. Spinner groaned as he flew backwards, his jagged red pieces starting to fall off his body. Mezo glanced back to see him falling. "What will you use your muscle and scales to protect? Huh, Spinner?!" He felt like the villain was fighting without a real purpose...that there was no point in fighting for something that he could use to make a change, not go back to the past. "And the rest of you...you were blessed with these bodies! How will you use your gifts?" Yuga specifically came to mind...as he didn't want the cycle to repeat. Yuga already felt like a villain because he had no power...but with a heteromorph, they could use their power for great things, not villainy. "Don't let them take advantage of your scars!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, knowing that this was exactly what happened to his classmate. "Next time, your children might be the ones they target!"

They all gasped from his words, murmuring amongst themselves.

The little girl cried as it continued to rain, trying to wipe her tears. "I'm sorry...If I hadn't...been drowning that day...then maybe they wouldn't have...made your face so scary!" She cried out to him, as...he had just gotten beaten enough that they drew blood, over his face and the back of his neck.

"Don't turn into people consumed by revenge!" He gritted his teeth angrily.

Spinner used his claws to slide down an exterior wall, stopping in place. "No...my hatred. It...won't go away!" He felt like no matter what anyone said or did...his past of being ostracized would never go away. And that would easily be said for just about everyone else.

"What do we do now?" Someone called out from the crowd.

"If heroes win here...what happens to us?" Spinner implored his army. "They will hate us. There'll be no difference," Mezo could say all he wanted, but to him, it wouldn't change how they would be seen after the war.

"The call to action," One of them looked up in realization.

"Self-liberation," Another one narrowed his eyes.

"I was just walking, living out in the daylight. And they sprayed me with insecticide!" Spinner informed them, remembering well enough how he felt...sitting in front of the TV feeling like he shouldn't continue living. "Poison! If someone hurts you, you have the right to hurt them back! Comrades! Raise your voices! Follow me into the future!" He lunged forward, breaking through a wall and emerging out from a window. Koji's birds helped keep Mezo afloat as he could only stare up ahead in disbelief.

Has he gotten even stronger? That punch was strong enough to crush concrete! He couldn't help but wonder...was his hatred that strong to continue fueling Spinner? He heard cheers, looking down to see that the crowd were still on Spinner's side.

"It's another surge!" The police defended themselves as the heteromorphs went right on back to fighting them...

"There're too many!" Two police men found themselves surrounded by the army.

"I can't hold them!" Another squad member cried out while they tried and failed to hold the army back.

"The army didn't let up against them...

"They'll crush us!" One of them was completely surrounded by heteromorphs, outnumbering him.

The gorilla officer looked around while gritting his teeth, knowing that it was going to be a tiring task trying to hold back every single one of them. "We can't keep this up..." He then held up a gun, finger on the trigger...

In Central Hospital, a few gunshots were heard before the front door was broken through by Spinner himself. He looked up with a snarl as he was determined to get back Kurogiri. And he wasn't going to let anything or anyone stop him...
