Ch. 2

"Pika, pika! Pikachu!" shouts a little electric mouse to his trainer.

"Pikachu, wait up! The Battle Club's not going anywhere! Ash!" shouts a girl with big dark violet hair. Standing next to a short green haired man.

"I'm going to beat you there, Pikachu!" Ash laughs, racing his Pikachu to their destination.

"Pika, pi!" Pikachu takes the challenge, speeding up. They enter the city of Nimbasa. Passing the amusement park and tons of people jumping out of the way.

Rushing through automatic doors at the same time, they stop. Both huffing for air with a smirk towards each other. The dark violet haired girl coming in seconds later with the green haired boy.

"I'm guessing Ash just doesn't want to miss Trip if he's here, Iris," chuckles the green haired boy standing next to her.

"What is it with Ash and always wanting to battle Trip?!" Iris shouts slightly, staring at Ash going through the people on the data base machine. "Do you know what the deal is with that, Cilan?"

"Battling strong rivals a lot creates a bold flavor. Among a sense of pride and accomplishment if you beat them. Don't you know that, Iris? We both have rivals of our own," Cilan informs her with a smile.

"Whatever, Cilan. Huh?" Iris looks up to see a disappointed look on Ash's face. "What's up, Ash?"

"Trip's not answering his Xtransceiver," Ash tells her, trying again. Calling Trip only to get the same result. No answer. "Aw, man. Why isn't he answering?" He groans before heading out of the building, sulking. "Where could he be? I wish he picked up. I wanted to battle him again."

"Pikachu," Pikachu agrees with a nod.

"Ash, there are other trainers you can battle. Not just Trip," Iris informs him.

"Yeah, I know. But I really wanted to battle Trip again," Ash sulks before hearing a Pokemon up ahead.

"Quill! Tranquill! Tran, tran, tranquill!" a Tranquill flies towards Ash looking scared yet glad to see a familiar face.

"Pikachu, pi?" Pikachu talks with the flying Pokemon for a few seconds before turning to his trainer.

"What's up, Pikachu?" As asks.

"Pika, pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu tells him, his red cheeks sparking a little before running after Tranquill.

"What's up?" Cilan asks.

"There's trouble. Let's go!" Ash runs off after his best friend. Iris and Cilan following closely as they enter the forest.

After miles of running, Ash hears a familiar voice screaming. "Like heck I'll call them! I refuse to play into your hands!"

"Trip," Ash gasps to himself, seeing Pikachu peeking out from a bush with Tranquill sitting on a low branch. The moment he gets to the bush, he knells down to hide. Cilan and Iris doing the same as they peek out.

"What the? Who are these people?" Iris asks, seeing a lot of people walking around in the clearing in galaxy style uniforms.

"Don't know," Ash whispers, looking over at the Tranquill. "You're Trip's Tranquill, aren't you? I know I heard him."

"Quill," Tranquill nods, staring at a group of unknown people towards the left by a big tree.

"Hm?" Ash wonders, turning his gaze towards the left. "What are they doing?" His answer comes only seconds later once they all walk off. "Trip!"

Trip lays there in the grass with his hands tied behind his back. Rope also secured around his chest, ankles and knees. Tape over his mouth to keep him from calling out for help as well as talking back.

"The brat still refuses to call them, leader," a grunt says to Kale.

"As expected," Kale tells him. "I knew this part wasn't going to be easy. Let's find out how much pain the Chosen One can go through before he agrees to assist us." He takes out a Pokeball from his pocket. "Lilligant, go!"

"Lilligant. Lil," says the beautiful green Pokemon coming out of the Pokeball.

"And Zweilous!" Kale calls, tossing another Pokeball in the air.

"Zwei!" shouts the dual head dragon.

"Persuade our guest to corporate," Kale tells his two Pokemon. They nod as they go over to the boy struggling to get out of the ropes.

"Mm-mph," Trip grunts, pulling on his wrists with no luck in getting out. Now what? Tranquill, I hope you found someone who can help he thought, seeing the two Pokemon coming over to him. "Mmph!"

"Gant, lilli, lilligant," Lilligant says before showering the young boy with orange spores.

"Mph! Mm-mmph!" Trip breathes in some of it before feeling weird. "Mmph?" Feels the ground at his feet slowly cave in. His eyes go towards the sky to see his Tranquill flying around. You did find someone. Thanks Tranquill Trip figures out what's going on with the ground. The moment the ground opens up, a pair of gloved hands grab onto Trip's feet.

Ash! Trip shouts in his head as the hands pull him into the hole.

"Let's hurry back now, Krookodile," Ash says in a whisper, carrying Trip through the tunnel it dug.

"Dile," Krookodile nods, letting its trainer go first while it makes the tunnel behind them collapse. They get half way back to the others when Ash stops. He rips the tape off Trip's mouth to also find a wadded up cloth had been stuffed in his mouth. Trip spits it out himself before coughing slightly.

"What happened, Trip?" Ash asks, untying his rival.

"I'll… tell you later… gr. Right now… we have to… get far away… from Team… Starstriker," Trip huffs softly.

"Team Starstriker?" Ash wonders, getting all the ropes off him. "Right, let's go. Cilan, Iris and Pikachu are waiting at the other end of this tunnel." Trip nods, crawling slowly through the tunnel with his rival. Ash places a hand on Trip's forehead, "You're running a fever, Trip."

"Breathed in… stun spore…" Trip huffs before slightly falling over.

Whoa! Easy there. Krookodile," Ash holds him up.

"Dile," Krookodile nods, picking up Trip. Once to the others, they waste no time with talking. They bolt it back to Nimbasa City.

"Tranquill," Trip says softly.

"Quill. Tran, tran," Tranquill says, flying next to Krookodile.

"My bag. Back at the spot we were before," Trip lightly huffs.

"Quill," Tranquill nods, flying off.

"Hm?" Kale looks over at his Pokemon in a slight panic. "Don't tell me!" He runs over to them only to find his captive gone. "Gr. Everyone! Scope the place! Our guest has escaped!"

"Yes, sir!" shouts the grunts, running off.

"We're almost there!" Cilan shouts, still running with the others.

"Quill!" Tranquill comes back with Trip's bag in its claws.

"I can take that, Tranquill," Iris extends her hand as Tranquill lets her take the bag. Rushing into Nimbasa City and through the doors of the Pokemon Center.

"We should… be safe here… Trip," Ash huffs. "We don't have any Salveyo Weed."

"Hm? Salveyo Weed?" says someone coming over to them. "Did someone breathe in stun spore?"

"Huh?" Ash wonders, turning his head around.

"I'm Lyle. I always carry Salveyo Weed with me just in case," he tells them.

"That'd be most helpful, Lyle," Cilan nods.

"Hm?" Lyle wonders, looking over at the others in the group before his eyes fell on Trip. "I know him. We met sometime yesterday. Trip."

"That's him alright. He breathed in stun spore about an hour ago," Cilan informs him. "Please, may we have some Salveyo Weed?"

"Of course. Just boil it and have him drink it," Lyle tells them, getting into his bag. Taking out a hand full of Salveyo Weed before handing them to Cilan.

"Got it. Thanks, Lyle. I'm Cilan from the Striation Gym," Cilan introduces himself.

"I'm Iris."

"And I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town," Ash introduces himself last. "And this is Pikachu, my partner.

"Pikachu," Pikachu smiles.

"Nice to meet you. Well, I should be going now. See ya later," Lyle waves as he exits the Pokemon Center.

Cilan gets to work with boiling the Salveyo Weed down as Krookodile lays Trip on a couch.

"Better let Nurse Joy have a look at you, Krookodile. You too, Tranquill," Ash says as both Pokemon nod. After leaving the two with Nurse Joy for a while, he heads back over to his friends.

"Just got done boiling these weeds," Cilan says, transferring the liquid to a cup. Ash helps Trip sit up long enough for him to drink the antidote.

"Ah, thanks," Trip sighs after a while. "Hm? Where's Tranquill?"

"With Nurse Joy. It looked extremely exhausted," Ash informs him.

"Right. Thanks," Trip sighs again. "And… thanks for… saving me back there."

"Don't sweat it," Iris smiles, giving his bag to him. "Who were those people?"

"They're called Team Starstriker," Trip replies, opening his bag. Taking out his orange jacket, he reaches into the pocket. Taking his camera out as he flips through the last few pictures he took. "Ever hear the Legend of the Star of Destruction?"

"That's just a legend," Iris tells him.

"Isn't it?" Cilan asks.

"What legend?" Ash asks, clearly confused.

"Pika?" Pikachu asks as well.

"That's what I thought as well. Until yesterday," Trip tells them, showing them a picture of the six eggs he found, in a six point star fashion.

"Oh wow. They actually revealed themselves to you?" Iris awes slightly, staring at the picture.

"Yeah. Why they chose to reveal themselves to me… I have no clue," Trip shrugs, flipping through the pictures again. Showing them one of a very old looking Pokemon.

"Cobalion!" Ash slightly shouts.

"It showed up out of nowhere once I found all six eggs and it told me something that the legend doesn't talk about," Trip closes his eyes.

"What legend?" Ash asks again, as Trip sighs.

"I know I can trust you guys. I'll tell you all about it," Trip says, opening his eyes to see them.

~Flashback~

"No… way," Trip stares at an old Cobalion. Taking out his Pokedex to learn about it a bit.

"Trip, Chosen One who holds the eggs. You are aware of the legend, correct?" Cobalion asks, coming into the moonlight.

"Um… yes," Trip nods, putting his Pokedex away before taking out his camera.

"Hm? Feel free to take my picture. I don't mind. But after that, tell me the legend and arrange the eggs however you believe they go," Cobalion tells him.

"Um… okay. How do you know my name?" Trip asks, taking Cobalion's picture.

"I've been watching you ever since the first egg revealed itself to you. Now," Cobalion nods towards the eggs.

"Right," Trip nods, knelling beside the eggs. "Ten thousand years ago, six legendary Pokemon eggs before the Chosen One. Who must train them enough to endure pain that may come to pass. Also, protect them from people who call themselves Team Starstriker," Trip recites the legend, placing the eggs in a six point star fashion. Triangle overlapping triangle as he continues. "If the Starstrikers get their hands on the legendary Pokemon as well as the Chosen One; once the stars are aligned they will activate the Star of Destruction. It will wipe out the whole world. Those used in the activation will end up sacrificed. Unless the Chosen One is able to activate the Reverse Star at the ruins located at a high mountain, at the right time to replenish the land.

The Pokemon are always random and not the same each time. Only the Chosen One can whistle or call the Pokemon when they hatch. A secret untold to all is the key to success or destruction,"

"Correct," Cobalion nods, coming closer to the young trainer. "I will tell you that secret, young trainer."

"Hm?" Trip wonders, taking a picture of the eggs.

"There is a seventh egg that'll only appear after these six hatch and you find trustworthy human companions to help you. You are skilled as a trainer on your own, Trip. But it would be wise to have others with you," Cobalion advises.

"Trustworthy people, huh? One last egg. I understand, Cobalion," Trip nods. "I know just the trainers I can trust."

A sudden glow got his attention. Turning his pale grey eyes to the eggs, the one he has at the top left position flashes.

"It's time. Take good care of them. All I can ask is that you do your best to keep them safe," Cobalion says as Trip nods. It runs off just as the glow became a baby legendary Pokemon. Icy blue feathers with a white puff on its chest. A wavy tail and a small beak.

"Wow," Trip awes, taking out his Pokedex. "Articuno, huh?" Yawning slightly, the baby bird opens its eyes. Seeing Trip smiling at it, made it smile as the second egg he found begins to glow. Bottom left, just below Articuno. Long brown fur with a puffy white cloud flowing from the back of its neck to its tail. Still having his Pokedex out, he learns about his one as well.

"Entei." The egg across from Entei starts hatching. Bottom right; emerges a white Pokemon with a body of red. A blue triangle on its stomach.

"Latias."

"La!" Latias smiles. The egg at the bottom begins hatching. A dark blue Pokemon stood there. It's silver chest plate holding a blue gem. A silver fan-type thing rests where its back and tail connect.

"Dialga."

The egg at the top right hatches shortly afterwards. An all-white dragon with small grey areas.

"Reshiram."

The final egg at the top hatches only seconds later. Long green musical hair with a black microphone on the side of its head.

"Meloetta." Trip places his Pokedex back in his jacket before taking out his camera. Taking one last quick picture before the six baby legendary Pokemon happily tackle him to the ground.

"Ah! Hey!" Trip laughs, petting them before saying, "Let me up guys." They get off him and wait patiently in front of him.

"Fire, ice-flying, dragon-psychic, steel-dragon, fire-dragon, psychic-normal. Wow. First, hide somewhere and wait for me to call you," Trip tells them as they do as he says. They all hide somewhere. Trip waits a good five minutes before bringing his thumb and index finger to his mouth. Whistling as the six come back to him.

Hm? Thought I heard something. Best to be safe than sorry Trip thought looking around. "Hide and wait for my call, guys." The six hide again as Trip sends out his Tranquill. Placing its Pokeball in his pocket while setting his bag down behind a tree. Listening all around as a vine whip shoots out from nowhere and clutches around Trip's chest. Pinning his arms to his body as he gasps sharply.

"Gr. Tranquill, go! Get help!" Trip shouts before a group in galaxy-style uniforms appear from the trees.

"Quill!" Tranquill flies off before an attack came at it. A few more vines clutch around Trip's wrists and ankles.

"Don't tell me," Trip growls, struggling to get out of the vines with no luck.

"Greetings, Chosen One. My name's Kale, leader of Team Starstriker. We've been watching you," says the man with spikey red hair. "Though it is true we had no clue who the eggs would choose." He lifts a hand as a Drifblim comes down holding a video camera.

"You must have a lot of those then," Trip growls as Kale stands right in front of him. "Gr."

"I'm sure you're aware of the legend. Join us," Kale smirks.

"Forget it!" Trip shouts. "I refuse to join you!"

"My, my. That was a fast response," Kale grabs Trip's chin. "You'll soon find out that you don't have a choice." He motions for a couple grunts to come over.

"Ivysaur," says a grunt holding rope.

"Saur," says the Ivysaur coming out of hiding as it forces Trips arms behind his back. The grunt tightly ties the boy's wrists together in a crisscross fashion.

"Ah! Hey! Get off!" Trip shouts as the other grunt ties the rope he has around Trip's chest. "Huh? What's that?" A girl comes over with a syringe in hand.

"You'll find out soon enough, Chosen One," Kale cackles as he crumples up a cloth.

"Wait. No! You ca- armph!" Trip shouts as the cloth gets jammed into his mouth.

"This will hurt," Kale tells him, covering the young boy's mouth with his hand as he stands behind him now. "Get his legs."

"Right," nods the grunt as his buddy's Ivysaur forces the boy's legs together. Tightly tying the rope around his ankles and knees.

"Mmph, mmph!" Trip struggles harder to no avail.

"Do it, Melissa," Kale tells the girl.

"Right," Melissa nods, as he jams the needle in Trip's arm.

"Mmph!" Trip shouts, closing his eyes tightly. Melissa injects the red-ish black substance into him, causing him to jerk around, shouting as loud as he could.

"Who has the tape?" Kale asks.

"Right here, leader," says a random grunt, coming over. Ripping a strip of tape off the roll before sealing the cloth inside the boy's mouth after Kale took his hand away.

"Mm-mm-mmph!" Trip shouts, struggling hard. A grunt throws the young boy over his shoulder before following the leader to a different location.

What did they put in me?! It burns! Trip shots in his head, passing out after a mile.

The sun's hot rays hits Trip's face, waking him up with a groan. Opening his eyes to see Team Starstriker walking around or standing around talking. Crap. Tranquill, please hurry he thinks to himself, pulling on his wrists. No good. I can't get these ropes off. They're too tight. Ah.

"Well, well. Look who's awake," smirks a grunt.

"Convince our guest to call the six," Kale orders, crossing his arms.

"Yes, sir," says four grunts, walking over to the boy on the ground.

"Mmph," Trip mumbles, as the four grunts stop in front of him. Two walk behind him as they lift him off the ground. Having him now sitting on his knees as one places a hand under the boy's chin.

"Mm," Trip growls.

"We'll gladly untie you. If you agree to join us, Chosen One," the grunt tells him. Trip snatches his chin back roughly as he turns his head to the side.

"That didn't work. Let me try," says the girl grunt as she clutches the young boy's blue shirt. She rips off the tape from his mouth. Trip spits out the cloth, coughing a little hard.

"It'll be easier on you and the rest of us if you corporate, kid," she tells him sternly.

"Fat chance of that happening," Trip huffs, slightly glaring.

"Why you," growls the girl.

"Call the six that hatched," orders a different grunt.

"Gr. Like heck I'll call them! I refuse to play into your hands!" Trip shouts in anger.

"I've heard enough," growls the girl. "Hold the brat still." She picks up the cloth from the ground as one of her comrades clutches the young boy's dirty blond hair.

"Hey! Ah-amph!" Trip shouts as the girl jams the cloth into his mouth. Ripping a new strip off the roll as she seals it in tightly.

"There. Let's give the leader the news," the girl growls.

"Right," the men nod, letting the young boy fall over on his side. They walk away back to their leader.

Now what do I do? I can't get these ropes off Trip thinks, slightly struggling 'Hm?' Notices a Lilligant and Zweilous coming his way before he looks up to the sky. Tranquill, I hope you found someone who can help "Mmph!"

Lilligant showers stun spore over the young boy. Soon feeling weird as well as the ground by his feet crumbles a bit. Looking down by his feet to see a pair of gloved hands coming up and grabbing him. Ash?!

~End Flashback~

"I'm sure you know what happened after that," Trip finishes, showing them the picture of the six Pokemon that hatched from them.

"Wow!" Ash awes with the others.

"Where are they now, Trip?" Cilan asks.

"Still hiding. They're waiting for me to call them," Trip answers, standing up as his Tranquill flies over to him. "Tranquill! You did well. Thanks."

"Tran," Tranquill smiles happily.

"Hm?" Trip gazes out the window. "She's invisible, but there's one." The others look out the window to see nothing.

"I don't see anything, Trip," Ash tells him.

"The one they chose is able to see them no matter what," Trip sighs. "I still don't understand why they chose me."

"Krooko," Krookodile comes over to Ash with a smile.

"Krookodile, doing okay now?" Ash asks with a grin.

"Krooko," Krookodile nods with a thumbs up.

"That's good. We should get out of here," Ash suggests.

"Pika, pika," Pikachu nods.

"Those Team Starstriker guys are looking for you, Trip," Cilan says in a warning tone. "We better get someplace safe."

"And find that final egg," Iris pipes in.

"We'll help you, Trip," Ash grins.

"Heh. Thanks," Trip smiles with small nod. "Don't forget the sic gotta train. But how am I supposed to train Pokemon that just hatched?"

"Playing is a form of training too," Ash tells him. Trip nods as they go outside. "I'll call them when there's no one else around," he says, walking outside with his Tranquill. Ash and his friends follow him, walking towards the other end of the city.

Trip feels something land on his head, a small little cry coming from a baby Pokemon. "Latias," Trip sighs, reaching his hand up to his head. Petting the invisible Pokemon in his hair.

They enter the far woods before Trip whistles. Latias makes herself visible as the other five come running or flying to him. All standing in a line in front of Trip.

"Whoa!" Ash gasps with the others.

"Pika, pika!" Pikachu gasps.

"Axew? Axew! Ew!" Axew appears from Iris's hair.

"Hm? Have a nice nap Axew?" Iris asks with a smile.

"Ew, axew," Axew smiles back.

"This is incredible, Trip," Ash awes.

"Train and protect. Can't let Team Starstriker have their way," Trip says, getting his orange jacket out of his bag as he puts it on.
