I guess Shadow's having trouble sleeping like he does sometimes. I think I know how to help him fall asleep…. It was late night and while Maria was peacefully sleeping, Shadow couldn't sleep thinking aboht things knowing something that soothed his nerves getting up and getting her guitar majingvShadow curious about what she was going to do.
She then started to play making the black-brown furred male surprised but softened, knowing she was helping him relax yawning making Maria smirk knowing her plan was working debating if she should stop playing or keep going because itcwas relaxing her friend into sleep knowing a lot had happened, which made him emotional and when he was like this, she listened and let him be. "Maria you need your sleep too…" Shadow said zoningout out making her smile getting back into bed after putting the guitar away.
That next morning, Maria began to stir seeing Shadow still sleeping slipping out of bed deciding not to bother him, making herself breakfast seeing Shadow up a bit later seeing him hug her.
"It's okay Shadow but the rest did you good. And see you're making your usual cup of black coffee huh." Shadow hearrd Maria ask making him smirk. "Yep but relieved you're okay Maria." Shadow told her making her nod as they were having breakfast hoping the day would bring adventures and at the park, they saw Sonic, Knuckles and Tails playing baseball making Maria curious about this seeibg Sonic surprised seeing them.
"Hey Shads what're you doing here. Hey Maria you okay." Sonic said.
"Yes it's a nice day, but what're you doing. What game is that." Maria said.
"It'sbaseball, wait you've never played baseball." Sonic told her.
"You've never played this game, that the hedgehog likes." Knuckles asked.
Shadow sighed knowing that Maria would want to try baseball after seeing Sonic and his friends playing, knowing that she wanted to join in seeing Maria grab a baseball bat jazzed to play which made Shadow smile surprising Team Sonic seeing him join in making the game fun which made Sonic impressed by their skills. "Whoa you should try out for the baseball team." Sonic told them making Maria smile. "We'll think about it." Shadow told them unaware Tom had seen this.
"We just ran into them, and Maria wanted to play. They were pretty good." Sonic told him.
"That was fun, Shadow and like the games we used to play. You okay." Shadow heard Maria ask.
"Yes Maria I'm fine, and glad you had fun playing baseball." Shadow told her.
They were at Starbucks having coffee but Maria was having hot chocolate and talking about the morning in the park including the baseball game which had surprised Shadow that he'd enjoyed it Pkus it involved his rivalry with Sonic so it was fun only he knew that Maria would want to play more which he was okay with. "Really, you don't mind if I did join the baseball team Shadow." Maria said making him nod.
"Yep Maria, as I saw how much fun you were having." Shadow told her.
"Thanks, Shadow as I do." Maria said to him.
