Maria saw her boy had found his bike, Dark Rider, deciding to climb on it grabbing the handlebars revving it making Sonic, Tom and Maddie concerned because they'd been watching him seeing him excited racing aroubd Green Hills but Sonic was feeling his stomach hurt knowing this wasn't gonna end great.
"Even if he's immortal, he's not immune to injury." He said but saw Shadow try to do a wheelie but met a tree hearing whimpers as he and Maria foubd the black and red furred cub crying but his leg was in pain making them exchange a look seeing Dark Rider was wrecked seeing Shadow more upset making Sonic get it. "Buddy Dark Rider can be fixed up but we were more worried about you. Let's get you fixed up." Sonic told him.
"I'm fine honest. Owww." Shadow said trying to get up. Maria stopped him scooping her boy up as she was comforting him as he was passing out. At the emergency room Shadow did have a broken leg and it was being put in a cast meaning he wouldn't be mobile for a while making Maria get that. "At least he'lllearn to listen when we tell him things are dangerous." Stone heard Tom say.
"Maybe but we can help him recover." Stone told him.
When Shadow awoke later, he found himself on the couch feeling loopy seeing a cast on his leg which was why he felt pain whimpering as Maria entered relieved he was awake. "Hey buddy, you're awake and we were more worried concerned about you. as you rode thedark Rider and got hurt. It's why your leg is in a cast." Maria told him. Shadow was understanding why he felt pain realising what had happened.
"Ohhhhh yeah…. I just wanted to try riding." Shadow told her making her nod. "Yeah but it'll be okay as we can help you feel better and have fun despite having a broken leg." Maria told him.
"He's awake which is good. And he found out about his leg." Stone said to her. Maria nodded as she was drawing on her boy's cast making him giggle which was music to their ears as they'd been concerned for him surprising Shadow that Stone cared about him knowing Maria did love him which made him smile revealing baby fangs making them grin as it was adorable seeing one was loose making them excited confusing Shadow at this.
"We'll talk about it later buddy." Stone said making Maria smirk at that. "Yep uncle Stone is right." Maria told him kissing his forehead making him blush as Stone chuckled. At hghttime near his bedtime, Maria gently tucked him in telling him a story about a girl and a hedgehog like them, which Shadow loved yawning as Maria kissed him goodnight seeing him asleep turning on the nightlight before leavubf his room.
