Chapter 2: Wolf on the Prowl

The forest that surrounded yokai academy was quiet. Even in another dimension animals thrived here, elk, deer, assorted rodents and wild bovines made this place home. Predators like wolves and big cats and bears while dangerous never were true threats that could harm the existence of any of the prey species. Insects made natural music that filled the forest with a beautiful ambient sound. However tonight. It was quiet... Dead quiet.

The full moon gave the forest an illusive glow creating shadows where the trees grew. Loud thuds could be heard all over, signs of a young elk buck taking off the velvet that grew over it's antlers.

Taking a look closer to the young buck, it was revealed rubbing and hitting it's antlers on a dead tree. Unknowingly all of the noise from the Buck gave it unwanted attention especially in a forest as silent and dark as tonight with the full moon just above the skies. As it kept it's actions going, it was unaware of the baleful gleaming yellow slitted eyes staring right at it. Slowly but surely it crept closer, stalking it's prey, it's long tongue slithering out of its mouth as it got closer. With the right distance, checked and calculated. The creature pounced... Starling the young buck and scaring it off the creature was revealed to be a... lizardman.

"Ah, damnit I messed up! I had it right there! Ugh! I was so close getting fresh meat to cook for later at the dorms... *Sigh* what else am I gonna do now?-"

A twig breaking alerted the lizardman.

"W-who's there?" He asked.

No one answered, he was alone he reasoned. He should be safe at yokai academy right now.

"Must be my imagination..." He said to himself in relief.

A rustle In the bushes alerted him again. His eyes widened thinking it was another chance for dinner he quickly crouched and crept to the bushes.

It was his fatal mistake.

*Crash*

*Bam!*

*Squelch*

*Screams of fear and agony*

*Ripping and Tearing*

*Gurgles*

*Wet noises*

A severed hand of the lizardman lay on the ground bitten and half eaten. The scene pans the clearing in the forest blood and guts were everywhere. In the middle of it all lay a hulking beast of muscle and predatory savagery covered head to toe in blood. Licking it's chops it starts to stare right at you and all it could do was stare in horror at the sight.

It was Tsukune covered in blood naked from head to toe eating the remains of the once breathing student. The creature then charges and

"Ahhh!" Tsukune woke up from the dream. Feeling himself up and his face to see if his dream was real, and sighing in relief he was still human.

However he felt the breeze around his form and realized where he was. It was morning and the sun was shining brightly and the forest was no longer quiet. Tsukune however was from what he saw.

The remains of one of the lizard trio torn apart and bloody with blood and guts every with some of his body parts half eaten. Tsukune looked in horror till he realized his hand and most of his body was covered in viscera and carnage. Going to the nearby lake he could only stare. As around his mouth and neck was blood and pieces of skin from the devoured student, was there staring him right in the face.

Tsukune did the only thing he could think of.

He threw up.

Tsukune ran around the campus fully dressed and ready for school. However he had some obvious changes. He was taller, muscular and had longer hair compared to before the last few weeks and when he was in the forest last night. He had to find Gin.

A/n hello to anyone reading this yes I am back from the dead also the chapter before this was because I accepted the challenge a writer on this site. The previous chapter was from him and this this fic was born. Don't worry as I intend to finish this fic and just to let you know I will take certain elements and more from other series that has werewolves to build up lore and a legend for Gin's clan and past to build it up.
