Before Blaine leaves on Saturday he prepares coffee and breakfast and kisses Kurt goodbye. The latter allowed him to take his key so he can let himself and Burt in.

At the airport Blaine greets the older Hummel man with a handshake and leads the way to his car. During the car ride he tells Burt what's the plan on the weekend but that of course father and son still have some time to spend alone.

He has a meeting later and will go to the studio after and in the evening the girls are gone too. Tomorrow Blaine has a free day but would have to correct some papers, finally. But in the evening when the girls are at work they could make a game night. Blaine didn't really planned on spending the night while Burt is in New York but Kurt insisted that he at least stays Sunday after game night.

Kurt is awake when Blaine and Burt come in and he smiles when Blaine casually opens the door to let Burt in as if it's his own home. Maybe someday, when they don't have to pretend anymore, they could live together. "Thanks for making breakfast" Kurt thanks his boyfriend. Slowly he stands up and smiles "Hey dad".

"Look at you son" Burt says "I'm so glad you're okay". "I love you too dad" the chestnut haired man answers and hugs his father, careful but long. "I have something for you" the man says and reaches in his bag to pull out a new phone. "Dad you didn't-" Kurt starts but the other man cuts him off "I want to be able to reach you and you should be able to reach me". "Thanks dad" Kurt smiles and starts unpacking the box when the other man answers "You're welcome kiddo".

"Now where are my girls?" he then asks. He calls them his girls since senior year in high school. They are family to him, especially after they moved to New York with Kurt. Burt also already considers Blaine part of the family and is sure that, rather sooner than later, he'll become a real part of the family. If these two don't marry one day he doesn't know what love even is anymore. "The girls are still in bed. It got late at work again yesterday" Kurt answers his father.

"Sweetheart I have to go now. I put my number in your phone and your new one in mine. I text you later and see you tomorrow okay?" Blaine says after drinking another coffee. "Sure you don't want to sleep here tonight too?" the younger man asks with a pout. "Kurt I don't know how long I'll be in the studio" the curly haired man reminds him. "I don't care. I'm not going anywhere so you can take my key and let yourself in. If I'm already asleep join me and if not we can still have a nice evening" Kurt persuades.

The other man could only smile. "I don't want to disturb your father-son time" he says and this time Burt waves off "Don't be ridiculous. If my son wishes you to stay over it's fine by me. Also it's not my apartment so it would be useless for me to say that the door stays open". "Okay. I come over when I'm done for the day" Blaine gives in and puts Kurts keys back in his bag.

The curly haired man kisses his boyfriend goodbye, takes his bag and car keys, says goodbye to Burt and leaves. He's already a little late but luckily his manager is a very understanding man. He won't mind. After the studio session he has to drive home quickly to get the papers he needs to correct. He'll just work at the loft.

Once Santana and Rachel are awake it's almost time for lunch and the girls offer to make something quick so Burt can unpack and Kurt can rest. While eating the girls catch up with Burt and save Kurts new number in their phones.

Just after lunch Kurts new phone rings for the first time. Blaine calls him so he excuses himself and goes to his room to talk in private. This time Burt sleeps in Rachels room and Rachel with Santana in hers. "Hey honey" Kurt greets his boyfriend who greets back "Hi sweetheart. I hope I'm not interrupting something?". "You never do" Kurt answers "What's up?". "When you woke up I told my manager that I might not be available that often because of a personal reason. I didn't tell him that I want to focus on you and help you recover but I think about telling him now. Nothing too personal if you don't want. Just that I have a boyfriend. He isn't allowed to tell anyone without my permission.

We're still a secret and after graduation we don't have to be public if you don't want to. It's just so he knows why I don't have that much time at the moment. I want to be with you and enjoy the time with you until you're better because honestly the thoughts I had when you were in hospital were terrifying. I won't say your name if you don't tell me that I can. I will only tell him as much as we both are comfortable with" Blaine explains.

"It's okay for me. It'll help him understand you better and you and your manager get along well. Tell him and as long as he's not going to tell anyone you can call me by my name when you tell him about me" Kurt allows. "That's awesome. Thanks sweetheart" the other man says and Kurt can hear him smile. "I have to go in again now" he then says and Kurt answers "Text me how it went later". "I will. Love you" Blaine says. "Love you too" the younger man answers and Blaine ends the call.

Half an hour later Kurt gets a message from his boyfriend.

Blaine: Everything went well. I also told him why we didn't tell anyone and he understands. (Fun fact: his wife is nine years older than him and was his supervisor at his first job). He got curious about your classes at NYADA and I told him about your beautiful voice. You're welcome to join me in the studio whenever you want and maybe you can meet him. Then you know with whom I'm working.

Kurt: Glad it went so well. Can't wait to go to the studio with you again.

When Rachel and Santana have to go to work the father-son duo decides to sit down on the couch and watch Elizabeths favorite movie together. After that they watch Mary Poppins and since they are both too lazy to cook they order Chinese food. Knowing that Blaine will most likely be hungry when he comes home Kurt orders something for him too.

It's almost 10:30 when Blaine opens the door to the loft "Hey! You're still awake". Kurt nods tiredly and his father answers "Barely". "I wanted to wait for you" Kurt answers and if he wouldn't be so thankful for the painkillers he'd be mad that they make him feel so tired. "You didn't had to but thank you" the curly haired man answers and goes to the couch to greet his boyfriend with a kiss.

"We ordered Chinese food. Yours is in the fridge" the younger man says. "Thanks sweetheart" Blaine smiles "How about we get you to bed, I eat and join you after?". Normally Kurt would've said no, wanting to stay with Blaine but he's too tired so he agrees.

While Blaines food warms up Kurt gets ready for bed and Blaine changes into something comfortable as well. Blaine gives his boyfriend a kiss goodnight and stays with him until he's asleep. It doesn't take long so when the curly haired man comes out of Kurts room his room is warmed up. With the plate he joins the older Hummel man on the couch.

Burt already changed to a sport channel, watching a football game. "I hope it's okay for you if I watch the game?" he asks and the curly haired man nods "Yes don't worry. I like sports". The older Hummel man could only grin "I think we will get along really well in the future son". Blaine can feel his cheeks burn but he just smiles and answers "Yeah. Me too".
