Star command few days later
XR already had gotten the last of his things he made easy to grab and leave but he didn't request to take his charger; he already made an order for a new and comfortable charger fit for 2 a few days ago. He smiles and grabs his box in his humanoid form, excited to show Nos his new home!
"Gee I can't believe it." Booster was a bit sad to hear his friend moving out of Star Command but it was a good thing for XR knowing this will help him get away from 42 and all the problems with it.
"Better believe it Booster." XR grins and turns to his friend. "I'm moving out like I hoped before; I got myself a place on the capital planet so traveling won't be a problem."
"XR I heard you're moving out!" Buzz shouted as he ran into the lab that was once XR's room. "You can't settle in that agent's home!"
"I'm not." XR stated, he felt a bit annoyed to see Buzz looking relieved.
"Oh good, moving in with him would be bad on you." Buzz could imagine when they break up, XR will lose everything. "So living in the suburbs? I recall a house was sold down on my street-"
"Not the suburbs Buzz." XR cuts him off and walks away with Booster.
"Living in the city?" Buzz comes up and walks with XR and takes the box from his robotic friend. He was hoping for a thanks or a smile but XR gave him a look that was ready to argue with him. XR immediately took it back.
"No thanks." XR glares at him and walks away.
"I take it you haven't patch things together?" Mira walks up to him and Buzz was quiet. He and XR were still working as a team, but they haven't been back to normal ever since the fight. There were moments when things seemed normal again but the second after a mission, XRleft without a word. In fact, at the last space cadets meeting, XR worked with the kids but wouldn't budge to work together with him.
"He said he's willing to talk if I apologize and took back what I said about hisboyfriend. But I am not wrong."
"Listen to yourself Buzz," Mira stops him from following XR. "You can't be serious about losing not only a teammate, but your friend. You gotta make things up to XR or else you'll lose the few friends who got your back." She added.
Buzz muddled his options; he is hoping to fix their friendship but what bothers him is this atu man! He walks in a hurry to stop XR who was putting his stuff in the trunk of that Atu's partner. He took a breath and walked over to him. "I know you like the bustling city and the highlights but you need to consider the disadvantages of living in the city! Running late, traffic, and the turmoil getting to star command?! And don't get me started on the prices!" Buzz knew how hard it was and XR needed a better place to live. "I know we're not on friendly terms, but if you need to stay close I can-"
"Buzz, I'm a robot, I can just fly out to work." XR shifts the boxes but wasn't looking at him. "Besides, I'm thinking of getting my own ride to drive around the capital city. My pal is willing to help me get one and at a good price." XR takes the box back. "But I'm not living in the city. Just know that it's a good place and you can trust me."
"You can't be that serious living with him! What if it doesn't work out?!" Buzz stops him and blocks him from getting in.
"Hey butt out!" Ryder shouted.
"Buzz I told you I'm not-!" XR stops and feels a migraine coming. He recalls the breathing methods his therapist sent him and took a moment. He has been trying to keep calm since their fight and he's been trying to be patient with his friend. "Buzz, buddy, I said I'm not living with him for the third time. However, I love my boyfriend, I am really happy with him and experiencing love in a way words can't describe. You may think I'm rushing or thinking too much about it, but I want to be serious with him so there's going to come a point we will move in together and raise his daughtertogether." XR emphasizes that last part.
"XR you can't jump on being a dad like that, you can't say you like it and when you become a full time parent, it can change. You may end up not liking it- you can get bored!"
XR takes a moment. "You know I would have agreed with you a year ago but it's different. I know it's not for everyone, but I got to know his daughter and she is the nicest, creative and very shy but she loves animals and takes pictures of them and likes to read about bugs!"
"You don't like bugs." Buzz stated.
"I do not but I have held them just so she could take their picture and hear a lot of facts that really helped too! I learned a lot about being part of someone's life that is not from the job. I got to be a part of her and Nosferatu's life that makes me feel different. I don't want to give them up for anything."
"XR, I understand what you're feeling." Buzz spoke up. "You feel like you're making a difference in their lives. It makes you feel great. It makes you feel you're being a hero."
"I am not with them to feel better about myself. I am there because I feel like I have more than just a purpose of being a space ranger. I got to understand some things I didn't know I had. I want to keep being in their lives because to me they're special." He smiles. "So no it's not about being a hero, or feeling better about myself, I feel I'm whole with them."
Buzz had to stop before asking once again. "So is this why you're moving out? Where are you moving to?"
XR stops and feels done with this conversation. "Since you're not gonna give up on figuring out where I'm living, I got a cabin that has a good source of power for meandI can just fly perfectly out and back to work and to my new home. I already requested report duty so I can settle in my home and not rush to a mission. I still like the city life but I'm enjoying my time in the town and it's nice to be out there and not in the center of attraction. Plus, I like to have privacy and not hear me with my boyfriend when we want time alone. Not to mention I don't have to be cornered by journalists and weasel paparazzi sinceyoucaused it with 42's help." XR takes the last box from Booster just as he came. "I'll be fine."
Buzz was startled but this change had him startled and felt his team, was splitting up. He couldn't have that. He sends the prepared info to the commander. "I'm sorry XR."
XR stops just as he opens the door, he feels a little bad about the change. "Look Buzz, I'm sorry about the fight before. I know you can't trust Nos yet, but he's a real good guy who is making the same difference as you but for people he cherishes and loves. I know it's been hard to understand, so maybe when you are ready, you can have a proper meeting with him.
Buzz was surprised. "XR-"
"XR! REPORT TO MY OFFICE! NOW!"
XR stops and looks at his friend. "What did you do?" He glares down at him.
"XR I didn't-" but Buzz didn't get a chance to explain when the speaker came on again.
"You better get here in 3 minutes! On the double!"Nebula shouted through the speaker.
XR was startled. "Can you take my stuff to my place?"
Ryder gave him a thumbs-up. "Better hurry." And he sees XR has already run to the office. Buzz followed swiftly behind, he needed to fix this.
XR ran faster than Buzz and was able to get there with a minute to spare. He felt he should revert to his robotic form but he was not going to hide about this. 'It's time to talk to pops.' He takes out the necklace and puts it in his pocket. He feels eyes on him and he feels a bit nervous but doesn't feel as bad with the pendant in his pocket.
When he entered he felt an intense feeling but he stood firm. "You called for me, commander?" He didn't feel right to call him pops knowing there's gonna be arguments. He sees Buzz coming into the office, panting.
"Good you're here too Lightyear." Nebula grins at Buzz but looks at the cause of commotion with a sneer. He did not like robots much, but he tolerated XR for the sake of Buzz saying XR has potential as a space ranger. He in fact favored Buzz which is why he hasn't shut down XR and seen the potential Buzz said. 'But what's making me mad is him impersonating a living person!' " Nebula was getting more annoyed by the second. "I was given reports about your recent activities. In fact, just now, I got a report saying you're in bed with this agent?!"
"Commander-"
"Hey! I haven't got to 3rd base yet so we haven't yet!" XR corrected him. "But there are times we get a bit fired up…." XR mumbles that part. "Plus he's been really good to me-"
"Listen XR, whatever this wannabe hero has with you, it won't last. He is keeping that Helsing child in that remote home somewhere in the mountains as an affront."
XR was startled that the commander knew about Vanet and noticed Buzz was surprised.
"Commander, did you get that part of information from the GA?"
"Of course I did, Lightyear," Nebula stated.
[Lie detected]
XR was quiet now as his system was detecting a lie. Buzz never knew about the exact location because the trees were taller and it was isolated and GAF never gives away their agents home address or location. 'I need to know how he knows about that.'
"Back to the matter about that wannabe Vampire. When did you meet him."
XR was quiet but cleared his throat. "I met Nosferatu Atu back when I was doing security as a side gig. Yeah I was trying to get some extra credit on the side because you know being in star command, I didn't get paid much. I met Nos at the time as part of the security and we didn't get along at first." XR added a lot of details and secretly sent them to Nos. When he finished, he could tell pops was wrapping his head around his explanation. Buzz however didn't believe his story at all.
"... So is there a problem with me dating Nosferatu?" XR waited for their answers.
"XR," Buzz pauses and looks at his friend. "We need to know if you are sure you really like this guy? I'm not judging, but…. You just recently broke up with 42." He was trying to be nice about it. "Not that it's bad, just wondering if you feel like there's pressure or something else going on…. From the agent?" He pauses and sees the look his friend is giving him. "The commander-"
"He is the agent that threatens Star Command's reputation!" Nebula stated. "How can you be fine about this!?"
XR was trying to process this right. "So you're telling me a nice guy, who's technically on the same field but on a different team, is doing his job; that's what bothers you the most? You paint him as a villain when he's a good guy who has a daughter." XR raises a brow, this is bringing him a migraine. 'You know, I wish it was anything but Nos being an agent.' "Look, I'm going to say this on record: Nos doesn't have some kind of evil agenda to ruin Star command."
"You don't know that XR but I'm trying to be fair." Buzz stood firm, he felt this agent was taking everything away. "Nosferatu Atu, for all you know, is an evil agent from Zurg trying to destroy us. I mean he can be manipulating you-"
"Buzz you're been a real dipstick ever since I was his friend and you're bringing in the commander into this just out of spite!" XR shouted and tensed up when he heard silence. "L-look, I really love this guy and I don't care if he becomes your rival. And so what he's from a different division, he hasn't tried to pick a fight with you. He is protecting his family and all he wants is to keep them happy." He looks at them. "I'm happy with him so please don't force me to choose a side. Don't make this into a thing."
"We're not making you choose." Buzz stated. "It's just-"
"Since you're still going to date that vampire lookin' freak, you better report to us what he does!" Nebula stated. "That's an order as your head commander!"
XR was feeling infuriated and yet when given a command order, he was resisting. He was internally struggling as he felt the command was overwriting. He was literally reprogramming his system directive to choose what he'll do.
[System command changed]
(Directive from star commander deleted)
"No I am not taking that order," XR stood firm and glared.
Buzz was shocked to see XR was against their commander! "XR-"
"Listen you rust bucket! You're star command's property! You do what I say! I know enough-"
"Do you really know enough?! Did you know a little girl lost her mother?! Did you know no space ranger was there to help them?!" XR slams his fist into the desk, feeling a bit bad but he wasn't focusing on that. "Nosferatu was the only person there to protect her! We failed as protectors-"
"A space ranger is not a local police officer!" Nebula glares. "There are bigger problems than one kid!"
"It's our job!" XR glares, his optics glows through the goggles. "Did you know?! Did you know anyone wasn't there when it happened?" XR wished and hoped it was a misunderstanding. But the more he had thought about it, the more it made sense. Only one person who could have authorization to move space rangers around.
"XR, I didn't know about the little girl or her mom. It was an accident." Nebula stated.
[Lie detected]
"And there were far more important missions-"
"I get it." XR steps back with utter hate and disgust at the commander, he couldn't believe it but he had the truth. "You hadyourorders, I got mine but I'mnotgoing to report to you about my boyfriend."
"XR!" Buzz took a step forward but saw XR stepped back again.
"If you're not gonna side with us, then you're no longer on missions! You'll be suspended, doing reports!"
"Fine! Gives me time away from here and from you! I'm out!" He turns and leaves the room and without saying a word, past the halls, and out to space. He flew out and kept the anger out until he was flying to the direction of the capital planet but stopped to see Nos in space. XR froze but he floated to him and held onto him, feeling Nos held him in his arms, not saying a word.
"It's not safe out here for you Nos." XR glides through to get to him. "But I'm grateful you're here."
"You were sending me information and I had a feeling something was wrong," Nos floated to him and held him. "I had to see you." He did not let go of him as he floated to his ship.
"I-" he stops when Nos kisses him on the head.
Nos kisses him again on the optics and nuzzles him, sensing the tense energy in him was calming down. "Do not force yourself to talk, you can talk when you are ready."
XR lays his head on his shoulder and he sees Nos carry him to his ship and bring him to his coffin. He places him down and nuzzles him. "You need to recharge." He heard Nos speak as he sat a good foot away from him. He realized now why Nos was giving him space each time around the coffin. Every time he did this was to give him respect as a lover and a friend but also worried of crossing that boundary when it came to sharing a space in his coffin. He holds Nos's hand and pulls him in the coffin. "Stay with me inside your coffin."
Nos was surprised but changed to his humanoid form and joined him."So we can fit in. I remember the last time, it was a bit snug." Nos lies next to him. "It's set to land near Valder Town so it will take an hour." He holds XR but feels XR holds onto him tightly.
"Can I kiss you?"
Nos perked at the question and cups his face. "You do not need to ask, you can kiss me or anything you want from me. No permission asked." He nuzzles his head.
"But what if it does?" XR holds him tightly. "What if I just found out who helped DRACthatday? Would you still love me if they were in the same circle of family?" He asked. "Would you hate me?"
Nos cups his face. "You did not cause the event," he kisses him softly. He pulls away from the small kiss and nuzzles him. "You did not make Vanet an orphan. I still love you no matter what." He moves XR to lay on top of him.
XR looks at his boyfriend before lifting himself to hover over him. He leans forward and kisses him and feels Nos hands on his shoulder until he wraps them over his shoulders. XR couldn't stop himself when his hands touched and held him close before they moved to his boyfriend's hips. He pulled a bit away and felt something stir in his core and his systems that he wanted something more. But he then thinks of earlier and frowns.
"I can't stop thinking about what happened earlier. I want more with you but I can't stop thinking about the arguments and the fight from the commander and Buzz." He holds onto Nos. "And I want to do more with you but I don't want to make it from something bad."
Nos holds onto him and caresses his back. "I understand my love. What do you want to do to clear your mind?"
"I don't know." XR frowns before thinking how he wished they could just do more than share memory through the norm or talk about it. He wants to share his feelings, his thoughts and how bad he wants Nos so much that kisses were only stalling his hunger.
Nos holds him and nuzzles his lover before he understands but can see this was not a simple problem. 'I need to calm him somehow.' "Tell me what you want and I will do it."
XR had so many thoughts. "I just want to think of only you and nothing else. Not star command, not the commander or how bad it's been. I want to do more with you so bad! But the way I want you is…." XR had to think about how to explain it and looked at Nos with need. "My desire is like how hungry you can get." XR holds his hand. "I want to do more with you, more than just kiss you. Every kiss with you feels like a taste and the more I get it, the more gluttonous I get. In fact my mind is running wild about you! But I'm scared I can hurt you or do worse to you. I'm scared that I'm going to be obsessed and make you uncomfortable and I don't want that to ruin us. It's also why I can't do what I want with you until I know it's ok. I want to do those things only if you want it." XR sometimes wished he didn't want to rush things with Nos, but each time they were alone, be it their organic forms or their robotic forms, there was that feeling- a burning sensation he wanted to feel if he had the chance and he kept feeling it when they're together.
Nos nuzzles him. "When do you want to try this then?" He asked and can see XR was surprised. "You trusted me drinking from you, you have been patient with me, I want to show you just as much and be there for you."
"But this isn't just drinking energy or just kissing!" XR was flustered. "It's like- like dancing and connecting with more than just wires! I could hurt you in our organic form!"
"I trust you XR and I know the bees and the flowers, Ryder gave me a book about it but in this case it is more of a slug and the bee." Nos thought it was the best example Considering his anatomy.
XR couldn't help but laugh. "Really? A slug?" He laid his head on his boyfriend's chest and saw that Nos didn't retaliate or get upset for laughing. "Thanks but I kinda picture our times to be special so it's also a good thing not to jump into it right now. Plus this is a special thing Nos and you're important to me." He holds him around the hips. "But it makes me feel good knowing you trust me." he looks at Nos with lovey dovey eyes. "Can we just lie like this and cuddle?" He feels Nos holds him like a teddy bear and purrs away. It was soothing his systems better, making it easier to relax. He lies on top of him as he feels Nos's core vibrating and hears it beating like a heart. 'As much as I enjoy this, I wish we could do more together.' That was when his chest panel opened up and saw Nos's chest panel did the same. "I know there's a thing called wire play, but this is not what I had in mind." XR was turning dark when they were lacing together and soon they both groaned from the wires connecting into their cores.
"I-it feel so d-different~!" XR hitches his breath to a gasp when he feels sparks in his chest.
Nos held onto him, trying not to claw on his lover's back but this was overwhelming! He was arching and moaning, clinging onto XR like his life depended on it. "I feel good and-" Nos was getting a sensation over him that was clouding his mind.
XR moans and something happens that he feels a wave of an unfamiliar feeling over his body that made him and Nos blacked out. The wires are still connected to each other but their cores glowing in sync.
25 minutes later
XR was the first to wake up next to Nos who was asleep under him and saw through the window of the ship, they were in a grass field. He was going to get up when he shuddered from the faint spark in his core. He looked down to see they were still connected, making him lie back down but laid on his side. It was a real sight to see Nos so asleep and he gets to see him like this. He didn't know if he should wake him up or let him sleep a bit more and after a battle of thoughts in his head, chose to let him sleep a bit more. He lightly touches one of the many wires and was surprised Nos moans lightly in his sleep. When XR touches another, he tries not to moan so loud.
He replayed what happened and after some minutes passed, he found out what they did and what he felt was pleasure. 'Who knew and to think, it was more different than what we usually do.' He was used to messing with wires with 42 but after an accident, they didn't try again and went with memory sharing. He couldn't help but like this way better and the fact it was something special. He looked though and noticed there were two that looked like cables. They were a bit thicker and traced it and he couldn't help but moan out from the weird but good sensation. He felt it react like a zap from a shock of electricity but instead of it being painful, it felt good.
Nos woke up to a surge he was unfamiliar with that made him arch up and against XR who was startled by the reaction. "XR, please give me a moment to collect my thoughts…" Nos moans out and looks to XR with half lidded glowing optics.
XR blushes at the sight and couldn't help but try to keep self control from touching the wires again but suddenly the wires disconnected from each other and retracted back into their chests.
"That was a bit weird and kinda disappointing, I was hoping to learn more about the wires." He grumbles but he gets a notification from the ship and was startled by the unexpected new connection to the system along with new programs like reading energy and new vision alterations he didn't have. He had scanned his system and everything and saw after their connection, XR had developed some new programs from Nos but they weren't average programs! He also saw memories and thought process! Heck even having a literal map of planet z?! This was like a whole new level of interface! He unintentionally opened the ship's mainframe and saw they were not far from his home. "Are you ok there Nos?" XR asked, noticing the same "Why are there programs I didn't have" look on Nos.
"XR, there seems to be-" Nos blushes deeply, seeing memories and XR's thoughts.
"Yeah I have your memories and programs too. I think our uni-minds or cores had some kind of interface connection that pretty much made us able to share literally almost everything." XR sat up and tried to compose himself from the multiple information. "Since we're here, wanna see something I've been working on?"
Nos looked at him surprised. "Is it done?" He remembered XR was working on something but was very insistent to keep it as a surprise.
"Not yet but I'm just missing one thing but I want to show you." XR grins standing up and feeling a bit energetic.
"Yes, but after I am done composing myself." Nos was still trying to decompress from pleasure and tremors still in his system that were slowly fading but he felt embarrassed at the thought of doing it again. When he was able to compose himself again, he got up with XR and left the ship, keeping it hidden, and followed his love.
"So remember that place I was hoping to buy but ended up choosing to keep on looking?" XR asked Nos. "Yes, I recall that." XR hears Nos reply and he leads him to his new home.
"I did look through other places but they were in the city and mostly apartments. Staying in the suburbs was a thought but then the idea of crossing paths with Buzz wasn't the best idea, especially with the thought of him trying to pry under the "being a good neighbor" excuse. That and I like my privacy." He grumbles.
"But your dad showed me this great cabin and I fixed it up." XR grins and shows him the outside area first and sees there were solar panels on the top of the trees but hidden well.
Nos did notice a special barrier around the perimeter of the cabin. He noticed there were two kelms and a little storage house that looked to preserve items. "Is this for cooking or for my work?"
"Mostly for your work but maybe one kelm can be made to cook. I am learning to cook too." XR smiles to show him inside the storage room and sees there are shelves and a machine for the clay to recycle and reuse. "So I was thinking and I had an idea if you're up for it about making a passage like you did for Vanet but in a different way." XR takes out a blueprint from his chest to show him his idea and Nos was analyzing the blueprint. He was getting nervous the way Nos was studying the print, not knowing if it was a good concept or not. "I could draw another idea out-"
"I like it." Nos beams to him. "Plus getting the materials will not be hard to get but it will take some time with tests." Nos grins. "If you do not mind making it with me-"
"Definitely!" XR grins excitedly but is too hyper. "I mean of course, plus I like to try building stuff with you since you really make great stuff." He clears his throat. "So, wanna see the inside of my house?"
"Very much." Nos took his hand and was led inside to find it was a bit more to XR's style being more 50s but he saw XR kept it more kid friendly for Vanet seeing the shelves were although more modern, were made for her height and books on fairy tales and animals. 'Even on bugs.' he smiles but sees there was a kitchen he knew XR did not need but saw he was thinking about Vanet and company.
"I also wanted to show you this too, though I want your opinion on it." XR showed him The other rooms and saw one had XL but was led up to an attic he guessed.
"I know it'll get cold but I was thinking Vanet could like this for herself and it's spacious. I can rework the walls in a few weeks so they can be insulated." XR smiles.
"Already thinking ahead past the court date?" Nos asked.
XR smiles and holds his hands. "Hey, I know without a doubt, Vanet is going to stay with you. I'm feeling positive about it even and going against any odd." He feels a bit flustered but looks at him in his servos. "I want to show you I have faith in you and I'm being very serious about being in your life and hers and not being limited time. I want 100% to be with you." XR rubs his thumbs into Nos's palms.
Nos could already imagine Vanet's excitement and even thought of designing a dome within the ceiling. Though he then wondered where he would be staying when he comes over the weekends. "She will love it, though I feel awkward to ask this; where do I sleep when I have to stay over as well?" He turns to XR who was grinning and takes a room. Nos enters the room first and is bewildered to step into the purple and burgundy marble design room with the stars painted in the purple parts and in the burgundy there are gold swirls within it. He sees XR has two sets of drawers but each one was on both sides. They were not similar, one was silver with purple outline and the other was of gold with burgundy red. He was surprised XR even set up the closet to fit two people's coats and shoes.
"Is this what you've been doing?" Nos was surprised why XR could not come by.
"I figured we could stay together in one room." He can tell he was getting nervous. "I know it's unexpected and a big dive in our relationship- but I was hoping we can try this out. The biggest part I need is your approval and your answer."
Seeing Nos quiet, he was now getting embarrassed and nervous. "I know it's fast and rushed- not that it's bad- but I want to try it out- I made the coffin too as an option but we can move it-!" He stops when he feels Nos hugs him and pulls him to the charger bed. He was getting steamed up when he was on top and over.
"You are the sweetest XR, and very cunning." Nos smirks and leans down a bit. "As for being fast," he purrs as he cups XR's face. "I love whatever pace we go because it is our pace." He kisses his love. "And I do want this." He purrs but soon he was swapped and was now under his XR.
XR blushes but he felt that urge again and dips down to kiss his neck. When he bit his lover's neck and licks the spot, he shudders and feels the sparks. He gets flustered but doesn't stops and kisses all over his neck.
XR was getting handsy now that he was feeling daring and confident. It was just like the moment under the cherry blossom tree and at the tower but it's different. They have no one to bother them and no one to intervene in their time, just them alone. His mind was no longer on star command or family betrayal, it was all on loving his boyfriend and trying something new with him.
He shudders when he feels Nos caressing his sides and silently urges to kiss his neck in turn and lets him but he takes the chance to move his hands on him. He blushes when he thinks about the buttons and feels him kissing where his Adam apple is and sucks on it. He moans into the nips as he holds onto his hips. "Can I open your shirt?" He shudders feeling those fangs against his neck.
"Darling love, you can do anything you want with me." Nos whispers and bites his neck softly and sucks. He has been wanting to do more with XR and this was the time. "I feel very invigorated to do things we have yet to try." He purrs nuzzling to XR
"You sure?" XR can say he never got to do this with 42 mostly because they were on missions and the closest to intimacy was wire play and sharing data. But this is different, he wanted the things he could now do with Nos and not scare him out. "I know I said earlier I want to do more with you," he kisses Nos and moans into it. When he pulls away, Nos licks his lips. "But I don't want you to do something you're not comfortable with." He shudders feeling Nos clamp onto his neck but doesn't sink his fangs. He melts when Nos pepper kisses his neck. "Promise you'll tell me?" He shudders from the lick.
"As you do the same, love." Nos purrs and lays back as XR begins to unbutton the top and gets nervous. 'I've diffused bombs in seconds, been in dangerous situations, but I'm so nervous unbuttoning my boyfriend's shirt?' Unbuttoning each one felt like he was breaking any restraint he had on himself. Nos feeling he can walk, limps a bit but looks around the area. "This was where we fought DRAC." Nos was surprised and looked at the flowers and recalled XR memories. "You did not tell Ozma about this."
"I know I should've, but I didn't want to see what was from you destroyed. Are you mad?" XR frowns
Nos would have been mad but XR was sweet to keep this safe. "I should be mad but I am partially glad you did not." He carefully kneels. He scans the flowers but sees no toxicity or poisons in them. "I kept thinking Antimatter is a monstrosity, nothing good comes from it after seeing it first hand. And the missing memory Ryder will not tell me. However, I see there is something from it that is good that it brings life. It gives me hope that I can make good from antimatter. We should however keep watch, this is still possibly dangerous." Nos gets up and shudders from the sparks shooting up from the back.
"Are you sure you're able to walk?" XR can tell Nos was struggling.
"I think I can-!" Nos felt a streak hit through his back and XR caught him. "... Please carry me…."
"Always." XR grins and carries him like a bride. He makes his way to Atu's residence with Nos in his arms. Despite it being a long walk, he likes that he was carrying Nos. "I was thinking since I'm on report duty, we can have more time to go out together."
"I would like that." Nos replies, holding onto him. "There are no major missions right now so it is not too busy. There is even some time to see your brother too."
"You sure you're up to seeing him?" XR was a bit skeptical about it now. He didn't want Nos to kill his brother or his brother to annoy his boyfriend.
"Better sooner than later." Nos replies and sees they were just up the walkway and sees Vanet and Nosfer gardening around sunset. He smiles to see Vanet light up and runs to them.
"Papa!viitor tata!" Vanet ran to them. "Where were you?! Bunicul and I were getting worried." She was a little mad and scolded them.
"Sorry sparks, just some problems at work but your papa helped me out." XR lets Nos down and watches Nos kneel down and hugs Vanet. He couldn't help but like this alot, but the intrusive thought of losing them hit hard in his core. He was startled when Vanet reached her hand to him to join in the hug. He didn't hesitate and kneels down to hug them both.
"I'm just happy you're both home." Vanet smiles.

"Hey sparks, how long till you go back to school?" XR was curious.
"A week." She answers.
"A week?! Better plan something for the week so you can tell your class you had a great vacation."
"What about your missions?" Vanet asked. "I know it's an important job to protect people."
"Sparks, you are important to me and so is your papa." XR can see the worry in her eyes. "Hey, I know it's important to protect people, but the thing is I want to be there for you and your papa and your grandfather. Being a space ranger is a cool job, but not as cool as being a dad." He grins. "And besides I'm on report duty so I'm more at home for a few weeks." XR added. "Plus I don't want to miss your first day of school so it's very important for me." He saw in Nos's memories of her first day of school and how he felt when it was her first day. But it was more than that. 'I want to make as many memories with them both as I can.' He has so much hope for Nos and he knows just how much Vanet means to him.
"Will you stay over tonight?" Vanet asked XR.
XR couldn't help but smile. "I can sleep on the couch-"
"We can make a pillow fort!" Vanet smiles enthusiastically, having both of her father figures together made her happy.
"We can even watch a movie together." XR grins and carries her when Nos passes her to him but goes to wipe the dirt off her cheeks.
"Perhaps in the morning we can walk around town together." Nos thought it would be a good time to buy her new uniforms to wear.
Nosfer watched them and smiled until he noticed the limp in Nos's steps and the small details he knew he couldn't ask with Vanet around. One thing for sure, he was going to have a talk with XR.
3 hours later.
XR covers Nos and Vanet who were asleep together and he couldn't help but take a picture. It was peaceful for him to have this kind of normality that makes him really feel alive. He sits on the floor at the feet of the couch and feels relaxed. He smiled thinking this would be nice to do together. 'I want to keep doing this.' He was feeling at ease till he felt the temperature of the room went cold.
"XR, a word please." Nosfer spoke.
XR felt literal shivers and held whatever bravery he had and went to the older man who led him outside. He was extremely nervous and he can already tell Nosfer knows what they did. 'And he catches me when Nos is asleep.' He sees Nosfer stop a good yard away from the house.
Nosfer, not looking at him, kept a stern yet calm face. "You and my fiu-"
"I'm gonna be straight with you, we did and I am sorry if I broke your trust!" XR jumbled his words so badly he had a hard time speaking right after.
"XR," Nosfer spoke but could see XR was trying to explain himself terribly. 'What does my son see in him?'
"As you know I'm in love with Nos and I'll accept any punishment but please don't keep me from Nos!" XR was begging now. "If you want me to wait, I will!"
"XR, I am not entirely mad." Nosfer was lying, he wanted to tear XR apart but his son loves him so he would bear with it. "I am relieved you are honest with me and saves me time in asking Nos. Nevertheless, now that you crossed that line, I need to know how serious you are with my son." Nosfer stern looked down to the shaking XR.
XR was shaking in fear, in fact if he had a nickel for every monster that terrified him, he'd have 15 cents. "I love Nos to the point I'd marry him on the spot- But! But, I know Nos isn't ready for that step and I also know with my ex around, she might make him opt out of marrying me."
"Would you put him and Vanet first before your job?" Nosfer asked and he saw there was no hesitation.
XR held the pendant to his chest. "I put Nos and Vanet first before Star Command. I um… I found out DRAC had help on that day." He knew he had to tell Nosfer about this, especially when it concerned Nos and Vanet. "Commander Nebula, he made the clearance to have no Space Rangers around the city that day. Nosfer frowns, "You know what this means XR? By you defending Nos is turning your back against star command. This can brand you a traitor, losing your reputation with it."
XR walked up and changed to his robotic form. "I can't just stand by and ignore what's happening and I can't stay there any longer. I don't want to lose Vanet or Nos." He looked up to the sky, rethinking the argument earlier and already felt sad. "I just hope things end well."
"I do as well." Nosfer spoke softly, looking up to the stars and sighing, "I wish Nos did not have to have so many problems."
XR frowns a bit before smiling, "I think he can handle it because he got us but mostly because he learned from the best. So no matter what, I know he can tackle any challenges."
Nosfer chuckles. "Thank you, XR. We better go back inside." He pats on XR's back and walks away leaving XR surprised but elated to know he wasn't going to be ripped to pieces. "Also If you hurt Nos, I will rip you into pieces." That made XR tense up and scared before following the older man back home.
'I should start staying by Nos now.' XR changes to his organic self and hurries up to Nosfer's side. When they came back they saw Nos and Vanet still asleep. Nosfer picks up Vanet and XR picks up and carries Nos to his room and brings him to his coffin. Lying him down, he takes off the shoes and goes to stand up but senses Nos awake. "You're up, any good dreams?" He smiles but kneels down.
"Can you join me?" Nos asks him.
XR smiles and joins him. "For you gorgeous, always." He shifted a bit so he wasn't crushing him. He is now laying on top. "Am I crushing you?" He feels Nos wrap his arms around his waist and hears him purring. He feels his core vibrate and closes his eyes and listens to Nos's core as he can feel it vibrate. "Goodnight, my moon." He closes his eyes and falls asleep.
It was hours since XR left and no word since and all Buzz could do was get anxious by the hour counting. He was worried he pushed his friend too far and he felt utter fear of pushing his friend into the arms of the enemy. 'More like an enemy/rival but I don't even know if this Agent even notices.' He didn't get to talk to the agent that time on the mission (referring to ch. 14) and it didn't help XR stayed by his side. What was confusing was that in this situation, it doesn't make sense!
'Everything about this man, his past, his home, how he joined, it feels like nothing is adding up. What am I missing?'
Before he could even ponder, he goes to see commander Nebula but stops when he sees him coming. Seeing his commander was more tense than before means he was not doing great after the argument with XR. There was something he was not understanding about XR provoking questions but he understood the situation better than XR. 'That day I recall there were many space rangers needed for the protection of a planet invasion. 'Yeah it was boring but at the end of the day we saved more lives that day.' He thought but he couldn't help but remember XR's reaction, the look of distraught he had but shook it off. 'I trust Commander Nebula, I have known him longer than XR. I just need to find what Nosferatu is hiding, I know he's hiding something!'
"Commander, are you feeling better?" Buzz walks up to him.
"I'm fine, just trying to roll my head around the fact XR denied a command." Nebula walks with Buzz down the hall to the training ground. "I should have rejected him from having the uni-mind core."
"Commander," Buzz watches the new recruits train and recalls his days but dismisses them. "I disagree, it has been helping XR way more than before. And the fact we are showing that good will win for the future."
"But I want them all to see that the future is safe with you Buzz." Nebula can see that the future is not only safe in the hands of Buzz, but for the new generations of space rangers. He did not like the agents of the galactic alliance, considering the fact the top agent is a robot! But now that there is a new agent, a rookie, Petrica's version of Buzz was pissing him off. They had agreed star command was to become the only line of defense and the only reason they agreed was because of Zurg. 'But now she's pushing a challenge to me by leading her rookie to fight Zurg!' He knows if that agent wins, Star Command will be under the GAF organization again!
"- I know you're going to disagree, Commander, but I need to find more information about Nosferatu Atu and I think if you get me in the case, I can find out more." Buzz was hoping Commander Nebula would understand.
Commander perked. "What case?" He wasn't up to date with several things coming up.
"Mr. Atu has an adopted daughter I think is being used as an affront or he's using her to hide his identity- in fact he was a criminal-"
"Lightyear,"
Buzz stood firm.
"You're going to be in the case. Try to get anything important and report it to me." Nebula stated. "Do what you need to do to find out whether this agent is doing right or he's up to no good."
Buzz smiles with confidence. "I won't let you down." Buzz saluted.
"I know you won't. So what do you know so far?" Nebula was wondering now.
"This new agent is supposedly a distant uncle to this child, Vanet Helsing-"
"Lightyear, this is a personal mission now. This does not come out to anyone." Nebula stated. "Make sure you find outeverything."
Buzz stood more firm, relief to know even the commander can see there is something off and salute to his superior. "Understood commander, I won't let you down." Buzz stated.
Nebula grins, "I have full trust in you Lightyear. I better go and hide away from that desk." He can hear the said assistant coming and hurries off.
Buzz leaves to get more information but he felt there was something he needed to figure out with XR. Why is XR so determined to help the agent? 'And why's the argument bothering me?' He felt the tension between XR and Nebula was strong and yet off. He shook it off. "The commander is whom he should trust."
Nebula hurries before he goes a different path and enters in the secret elevator that leads to his designated place. He stands by and his confident grin changes to an indifferent look. When it reaches the place, he steps out and sees the true commander of Star commander.
"What is it you found this time, Zeb." DRAC glares at the latest so called tech Star command and Zurg brought to him that his body was adequate but not to his taste. 'If only I had Nos-4-a2.' He growls, the last memory was that garbage disposal carrying Nos away.
Nebula kept firm, he was subjected to work for him ever since he began his career as a Space Ranger. He clears his throat. "Lightyear is going to get all he can of her hidden location. Why is this child so important to you? She is practically useless."
DRAC merely smirks. "Zeb, you know as much as I do, Helsings are a general threat, two years ago Vax Van Helsing was at the top as a secret agent. You told me about him and we were able to destroy him. Now there is a new agent that threatens your Star Command and that monster hunter's daughter is under his wings. Imagine what she will become, where your hero will lose his shining light." He was just pulling his strings, he wanted to find her to find Nos and his little home. 'I will find him and his special lab.' He smirks down and gets up. "What is the status of that little tin bot?"
"He is residing in a different part of the planet, seems far from where the last fight you had." Zeb spoke. "Unfortunately he deleted his data from the main frame and I have other news, regarding the core you requested. Unfortunately it is impossible based on the results you gave. I just don't understand why it won't work."
DRAC growls annoyed at the results but merely smirks. "Things take time and I have all the time in the world." He looks out to the planet and plans for the new attempt to revert Nos-4-a2 back to himself. 'He and I will rule over many galaxies. And he will forget that little tin bot.' He smirks down.
