"Xavier's." Logan answers
"Xavier's? As in that school for the gifted?" Peter asks
"Yes but the "Gifted" is basically kids who discover their mutations for the first time and the school was made with the intention of teaching kids how to use their mutations correctly and responsibly, Charles Xavier is essentially the principal but due to whatever happened, He turned to dust and so did some friends of mine...before he got dusted he sent me to find five kids who needed help most and i got dusted too but then i woke up seeing the stars and apparently its because of Spider guy over there" Logan further explained
"and i was told by a friend who survived that you'd be the key to fixing this...whatever this is and came here after i came back to life which is why I'm here" Logan continued
"Well we have a way of fixing this but it's gonna take time Logan...i can promise that much, but if your here to help us then we can't complain because what we're doing is time travel" Steve said
"Well that's gonna be easy...I've dealt with time travel before...although you guys don't know" Logan said
"Wait how'd you travel back in time?" Trini asked
"Well i technically didn't go back but one of my pals who has the power of controlling minds sent my mind back in time into my past self therefore my present mind was in my past body... make sense?" Logan explained
"Kind of...i think?" Alita said
"OK so we have two people with somewhat knowledge of time travel...this is gonna be easy" Steve said as the door rang
"Knock Knock...Gee what happened here?" Bruce asked.
"Long story short unexpectedly reunited with an old ally" Steve said as Bruce picked up some of the debris
"And that's the hulk that Billy wouldn't shut up about?" Trini asked
"Yeah that's essentially the Hulk although he's kinda changed from the looks of it...not sure how" Peter explained
"So you guys are mutants too?" Jason asked
"Yes although we prefer not to talk about it...its a long story." Dani said
"People don't look kindly to us mutants...that's why they keep in hiding in a school posing as a school for the gifted...us...we're another story one that would make an awesome movie someday" Robbie said
"Let me guess, did things you weren't proud of...say no more...i know how that feels...i lost my uncle because of my powers...i wasn't born with these but i understand where you guys are coming from... But its not too late to make up for it...my uncle's last words were-" Peter gets cut off
"With great power, comes great responsibility" Trini said smiling
"Thanks man...we needed to hear that...how can we help?" Sam asked
"Yeah how can they help?" Alita asked
"I don't know but in the meantime You kids got a place to stay?" Steve asked
"Well if you don't count that school...no" Rahne said
"Well we have a place for you to stay and that goes for you too Parker...In fact i have to talk to you for a minute, you and Trini if you don't mind. Follow me" Steve said as they headed outside
"Why'd you ask if i had a place to stay...i live with my au-" Peter looks at Steve who had a serious look
"I'm sorry son...i have to tell you this because i feel like a monster if i didn't...i made that mistake once already...when we looked at casualties after Thanos snap...your aunt" Steve gets cut off
"Please don't...please don't say it" Peter says as he breaks down. "it's all my fault" Peter starts crying
"Son...this wasn't your fault...in fact i bet she'd be very proud of you" Steve said with a sniffle
"Petey...please don't let this get you down...we need you to be strong more than ever right now...We'll get her back i promise" Trini reassures Peter and holds him.
"We have a place for you to stay until then and as for Trini and this goes for Jason too...don't worry about the siblings, we have asked Happy to take care of them while we're doing this and for the most part they're behaving. Said Spidey would pay them a visit if they did" Steve says
"Captain Rogers...thanks for giving it to me straight...it means a lot to me" Peter says as he hugs Steve
"You're welcome kid...now that that's done...i want you and the rangers show the newcomers to their rooms OK? Make them feel welcome. I'm gonna catch up with Logan for a minute" Steve said as the newcomers walked up to Peter
"I heard what was said and im very sorry" Rahne said
"How did you...?" Peter asks
"Good hearing...part of my mutation" Rahne says as Peter leads them to their rooms
"Alright guys...here we are...home sweet home..got TV and everything" Kim said as Robbie's eyes widen
"whoa...i can get used to this!" Robbie says as he lays on the bed and sighs
"He's getting comfortable already" Sam says as everyone laughs
"And Sam your room is right there" Peter said as he opened the door
"This is totally a step up from where we were...thanks Pete! I can tell we're gonna be good friends" Sam says with a smile
"Me too Sam though you should really thank Captain Rogers. please make yourself at home" Peter said
"Well i appreciate this but do you have maybe a change of clothes we could use...as you can see?" Sam asked
"Don't worry, someone will give you some clothes after you guys get settled in" Peter said
"Hey Kim, Trini why don't you take the girls and show them their rooms?" Jason asked
"Alright guys follow us...you're gonna love this." Trini says
"I can already tell...its a big step up from where we were!" Dani said
"And that would be?" Kim asked
"Basically a mental hospital...don't ask" Rahne said as she smiled at Dani
"OK so Illayna right? Let me show you your room" Kim said
"I appreciate it very much thank you" Illayna said with a smile
"Whoa...That's a first! She's usually very rude to new people. Peters pep talk must've helped a lot!" Dani said
"You'd be surprised at what Peter can do...he can be very motivational" Trini said
"I see that...so Rahne let me show you your room" Trini said as Rahne smiles at Dani
"So i don't mean to pry into your business forgive me if I'm being rude but i couldn't help but notice that you keep smiling at Dani, are you two like best friends or do you two like each other...not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm Bi myself so i understand" Trini asks
"Its OK, i don't mind answering, Yes We like each other" Rahne said as she laughed
"Ah that's cool, well i hope it works out for you" Trini said
"Thank you, Dani can be very sweet" Rahne said "so this is my room? It looks lovely, thank you so much...im sorry i never got your name?" Rahne asked
"Its Trini, pleasure to meet you Rahne, someone will give you a fresh change of clothes as soon as you get settled in, just make sure to let us know if you need anything" Trini said as she shook Rahne's hand
"I'll gladly do that and let Peter know that i appreciate his pep talk...he's a very kind man to relate to us" Rahne said
"Anytime although he is a teen like us" Trini said as she smiled
"OK Illayna here is your room" Kim said as she opened the door with Illayna sniffling "everything OK?" Kim asked while Illayna wipes the tears from her eyes.
"Its nothing just...i haven't had anything this nice in my life and what that Peter guy said really stuck out to me...you guys are so lucky to have a friend like him" Illayna said as she put on her Lockheed puppet "isn't that right Lockheed?" She asked her puppet
"So i don't wanna be rude but is Lockheed like a security blanket?" Kim asked
"You're not being rude its a normal question and i don't see it like that...he's a loyal friend" Illayna answered
"Well im gonna let you get settled in and before you ask someone will give you some new clothes here in a few hours" Kim said
"Thank you" Illayna said
"You're welcome" Kim said
"The kids all taken care of?" Steve asked
"Yeah and Peter is in his room" Kim said
"OK because Tony is here now" Steve said surprising Kim and the others
"Oh...crap! What do we tell him? What do you do? He's gonna freak out!" Trini said
"Well first Calm down...we're gonna break it to him eventually but right now what we should be focused on is working on the quantum tunnel thing" Steve said
"Yeah, you're right" Kim said
"And what are we gonna do with our guests?" Jason asks
"Well...OK i have an idea, you guys and Sonic keep the kids occupied, take them out of town in the meantime if you have to while me, Alita and the others work on this." Steve said
"That's actually not a bad idea...i can make the most of this by spending some lost time with Petey, and one of the newcomers said she likes someone so the timing is perfect" Trini said
"And we can relax a bit" Jason said
"Alright well, Nat found some clothes in a shelter to help Kids who lost their parents snapped so give these to the kids and then go into town do what you need to but if someone recognizes Parker...just tell him or her that he was at the avengers tower where Tony kept him safe during all this and if things turn sour...you know what to do" Steve said handing them some clothes.
"Alright will do Cap!" Kim said
Jason knocks on Sam's door as Sam is watching TV.
"Hey...your clothes have arrived. Here ya go everything you need" Jason says as he hands Sam his clothes
"Thanks...i appreciate it...oddly enough i need to take a quick shower" Sam said
"Well go ahead but we're all gonna head out and clear our heads for a minute while the grown ups play with their toys" Jason says
"Well, that's actually a good idea, be out in a minute" Sam said as he closed the door.
"I gave Rahne her clothes." Trini said
"I gave Robbie his" Sonic said
"All that's left is Dani and Illayna, who wants to deal with Dragon puppet?" Kim asked
"Guess ill go, I've barely talked to her at all" Trini said
"Thanks Trini" Kim said with a smile
Trini knocks on the door
"Come in" Illayna said as Trini entered
"Here, some clothes for ya, we're also going to go out for a bit while the rest of the avengers do their thing" Trini said
"Thanks, ill be out in a minute" Illayna said as she grabs her clothes and closes the door
"OK im starting to think she's REALLY going crazy, She's never been that nice before especially to people she just met" Dani said
"Yeah, is she always that way?" Trini asks
"Almost all the time but maybe the pep talk Peter gave must've opened her eyes a bit" Dani said
"I guess so" Kim said
"OK now that most of us are good, cleaned and dressed why don't we walk through the city and see what its all about?" Kim asked
"Yeah good idea! Would honestly be a refresher" Robbie said
"Mhm i agree to that" Sam said as Peter got out of his room
"Hey Petey...you feeling OK?" Trini asked
"Yeah im OK" Peter answered
"Are you sure bro? We don't have to head out if you don't want to...we'd understand" Jason asked
"Seriously I'm fine...at least i have you guys and the avengers now lets head into the city." Peter said
"Gotcha, I'll have Tommy join us if she can" Kim said
"Tommy?" Dani asked
"She's a friend of ours and she's in town i believe so we can all hang for a bit" Trini said
"Well cool beans, alright well lets go" Jason said as everyone started heading out
"Cap, we're gonna head out, just call us when you're ready" Peter said
"Alright son, just be careful OK" Steve said
"OK" Everyone said
"Have fun guys" Nat said
"OK so where do you guys wanna go? Central park? MSG? Maybe stop by Yankees stadium? all up to you" Peter asked
"Is there like a place where no one can see us...maybe an abandoned building or something?" Sam said
"There is somewhere we can go...but why?" Peter asks
"Because maybe we wanna demonstrate powers or something?" Dani said
"Really? Is that a good idea...i mean someone could see us" Trini said
