Well fair enough on nothing new for the time being Dan, of course it sounds like you might eventually get some new opponents. As far as this chapter, it was a great start to Dan's six new duels to qualify for the Arc-League Championship... I have a good feeling he'll make it though he'll probably be cutting it close. Then again that mysterious figure and his suspicion... if he challenges Dan to a duel there's a very high likelihood Dan won't be able to win that duel. Neo Galaxy-Eyes was a very nice touch but when Dan sees what other Galaxy-Eyes cards are out there... he's in for quite the big surprise. Oh yeah and Zuzu, I think there's a good reason you recognize Neo Galaxy-Eyes though I'll leave that for the future. Absolutely amazing chapter, looking forward to the update.
Oh, as for a question of the chapter... I don't think I have one this time.
Oh, but in regards to that guest review you mentioned... maybe whoever wrote it was right... I missed this fic a lot and don't want to keep you from focusing on it... it's a lot better than anything I've helped you with after all.

Now here for another remastered chapter here. I don't intend on stopping here, and hopefully by the time me, and Ulrich start working again, I will manage to get 5 remastered chapters done, and can do more over the weekend like I used to do. Let's continue going forward, and also manage to do this, where there will be new content, better quality, and lots of other stuff. Well let us go here to see what we're gonna do with Kit against Dan!
Summary: Dan's next match takes him to the Leo Institute of Dueling, a location he is surprised to be challenged from. Arriving he sees that it was the best duelist of the Synchro Course, Kit Blade, who had challenged him after seeing Dan dueling Declan using Synchro Summoning. Kit, feeling the need to show Dan he is the best in Synchro Summoning, has challenged Dan to prove it to him, and is doing so with his powerful X-Saber cards. Meanwhile in the foreground, the duelist that used Xyz Summoning against Dan met up with his comrade to discuss how to attack the Leo Institute while also bringing up the spy he had spoken of.

It was late at night where someone was at a small warehouse station just waiting for someone. It was the same duelist that had battled Dan using the Phantom Knights. After that match with Dan, he had been doing some thinking. He wasn't sure just what kind of person Dan was, or why he had given him advice for his Hieratic Deck. He had Dan mentioned that he will help those who are hurt by Fusion, and had thought he was a comrade of his, and his friends on a search for a friend of theirs.
Lulu... that's her name. But this kid doesn't know about the Fusion Dimension, which should be impossible... Then he decided to duel the kid so that he can learn the kind of duelist Dan is. And his verdict is that he's a good duelist... but he can tell when a duelist isn't using their Deck right, or isn't going seriously. An old card such as Double Attack just to trigger an effect, and his technique from the Deck is just a typical Hieratic Deck, void of anything original. If Fusion ever does invade this Dimension, he hopes the kid can defend himself.
Of course, for now he, and his comrade need to find connections to Duel Academy through the Leo Institute of Dueling as they used Fusion like the invaders do. All he can find is to try finding Lulu, no matter what.
"Yuto."
The boy now named, Yuto, turned over to see the masked man had arrived in the warehouse. The masked man has a bandana like mask with dark goggles on his form while wearing a large blue ripped/tattered coat with black clothing underneath alongside a red scarf. He also has blueish-black hair that falls to his chin with light green bangs in the shape of a wing.
"Shay." Yuto greeted back, nodding over. "Did you manage to find Lulu?"
"No... the cowards have her locked away somewhere." the man, Shay, answered clenching his hands. The person, Lulu, is someone dear to them, and she is depending on them to find her. But now they don't have any leads, and they can only find her through the Fusion Dimensions, Base of Operations; Duel Academy. Only trouble is, they can't find it without advanced equipment which they don't have, and finding the Leo Institute which uses Dueling, they found a lead. "Back at Duel Academy, where the rest of them are."
"And I'm guessing there are no leads to find where they are?" Shay shook his head, no luck. Yuto sighed over looking up at the sky where the stars were twinkling. So far nothing... no leads, means no Duel Academy, and that means no Lulu. "We better keep trying Shay... Lulu is there waiting for us to break her out."
"We need to keep our guard up." Shay brought up which Yuto turned towards him. "A Fusion Spy is here, and is using Xyz Summoning to cover their tracks. I had seen him duel a while back, and their style of Xyz is like ours. I never seen him before so the only reason why he's that skilled is that he is a Fusionite posing as us Xyzians."
A Fusion Spy using Xyz to cover themselves? The Fusion Dimensions always find cheeky, and clever ways to disguise themselves, and also keep close to them without mercy to take all they can. This should mean they are running out of time. If this spy gives the all clear signal for the Fusion Dimension to invade this Dimension, then their chances of finding Lulu will shorten dramatically. As if, they have high chances here at the start cause every Fusion student they come across are blanks. Even that blonde kid who likes to brag about himself was blank when Yuto defeated him all too easily with Dark Rebellion.
"I also encountered someone using Xyz. I thought he was a comrade of others but he told me, he had only made the Deck." Yuto shared his own experience as an Xyz Duelist. He then looked back towards the sky seeing the stars twinkling. "I don't why I gave him some advice, probably because I worry over him. Even if he's not like us, he shouldn't get involved against Duel Academy."
"Everyone here is already involved. The Fusion Students, that Spy, and the name Akaba." Shay spoke venomously at saying that name. He seemed to be a bit familiar with Declan although he didn't exactly mean the President of LID. He meant Duel Academy's own leader, the Professor, Leo Akaba. He will get Lulu back, and trap that man in a card, like he did with so many of his friends that he had sealed for his selfish conquest. "Either you like it or not, Yuto, when that Spy gives the signal, we will end up with more than blanks, and no leads."
"True." Yuto frowned although agreed. Pretty soon, this Dimension will be invaded, and like Shay said, they will need to deal with more than blanks. Obelisk Force, Commanders, and all that. The lesser Obelisk Force soldiers are already difficult to deal with in numbers, but add Duelists that are different from them, and some of the military commanders of the field, it will add more difficulty up ahead. He hopes, they can find a lead, and get to Lulu before that can happen. After that they will get some answers from Duel Academy.
Shay then turned over seeing a light ahead. "We better go Yuto... we will keep on our plans of interrogating the Fusion Duelists for Duel Academy." Yuto nodded as they went off before some Security holding a flashlight came over seeing no-one was there. Of course, if he appeared earlier, then he might've caught the two comrades together over there plans.

The next day is where Dan arrived at the location where his next duel is supposed to take place. He only has Zuzu, and Sora with him this time as Yuya, and Gong have their own duels while Allie, Frederick, and Tate are off to cheer Yuya on in his match. Against someone named Pierre L'Supérieure if he can even pronounce that last name right. The location itself happens to be the Leo Institute of Dueling which does take the 3 by surprise, why is a Leo Student challenging Dan, or who exactly?
Some thoughts run in the minds of Zuzu, and Sora. Their top guessed duelist is Declan who had already defeated Dan, so it wouldn't make much sense if he challenges him again like that. There next bit by Sylvio Sawatari but from seeing a photo of him in critical condition (which they know is fake) after that duel with that boy who shared the same face as Yuya, they don't see him having the gall to challenge Yuya or someone from there Duel School as a matter of fact. So they aren't sure who exactly it is.
"Ah, you're here Dan." they turned over seeing Nico waiting at the lobby with his signature grin.
"Nico." Dan greeted as they walked to him. "So my opponent is here within the Leo Institute?"
"Yes, and he is waiting for you right now." Nico confirmed with a nod. He guided them over to lead them towards the Duel Field. While they walk, Dan has a lot of thoughts in mind.
What kind of Leo Student would duel him? Probably someone who has a Deck he has never seen before? Or was it Sylvio or Declan again? Either way, he is wondering how this match will turn out, and can't wait. While approaching the field, they begin hearing some arguing.
When they arrived, they saw it was the same Duel Field that Sylvio dueled Yuya on, and who was waiting happened to be three people. Sora, Zuzu, and Dan recognized them, it was the three Duelists who had been at You Show to duel 3 on 3 for You Show to be Leo property should they win, as the top students of each respective summoning course.

And Julia Krystal, the best Fusion Course Student.
Both of the boys were arguing over something while Julia just looks annoyed about it facepalming from the two arguing, and she has to listen to it while they wait for the opponent in mind. Dan sweat-dropped from seeing this, and took a step forward clapping to get their attention. Which worked as Kit, and Dipper who had been arguing to notice turned over seeing Dan with Zuzu, and Sora are there having just come to the Dueling Field. Snapping to attention Kit cleared his throat. "Well then kid, glad to see you are here!"
"Uh... Is my opponent here?"
Kit only grinned over from Dan's question. He gestured a thumb towards himself. "He's right in front of you, you know. Name's Kit Blade the best Synchro Summoner other side from Declan!" That surprised the three from You Show. So it was Kit that challenged Dan? They didn't think one of the representatives from LID was the one that challenged Dan, and Kit Blade is one of the most powerful duelists they have seen ever since the School Duel, and while Dan doesn't know him much he can tell he is a very powerful duelist.
"Don't let him frighten you."
"Hey I am gonna beat him! Wait, and see!" Kit turned towards Dipper to snap which the Xyz Duelist shrugged with a grin.
Dan blinked from this before he spoke up. "Well uh, Mr. Blade?" Kit turned over with a raised eyebrow which Dan couldn't help asking. "Why exactly do you want to duel me? You probably already saw my duel with Declan, and he defeated me. So, I shouldn't be worth your time should I?"
"First off, it's just Kit around here, bub." Kit starts off with what he prefers to be calling. Mr. Blade is his father. "And next, while you are right that technically, you are wasting my time here, I do feel you're a powerful Synchro Duelist. And well, seeing a strong Synchro Duelist while I am the best around having dueled Declan? I won't have that, I aim to prove I truly am the best in the field." He points over to Dan saying that while the boy blinked. "And you are a rival to that!"
So that's it, Kit challenged him because he wants to truly prove he is the best Synchro Summoner here. A petty goal, or objective to go through but even if it isn't that, this is still Dan's second match, so he can't refuse unless he gets held back a bit, and really cut it close or not be able to join the Arc-League at all. Still Dan doesn't look bothered by it, on the other hand he is excited about the thought of a strong opponent like Kit calling him a rival for Synchro Summoning, and that Kit challenged him to try proving it. So Dan is more than ready to begin.
"Dan's a strong Duelist, Kit. You don't know what you are getting yourself into."
Kit grunted over towards Zuzu for her saying that Dipper shrugged with a grin at her speaking what he had been saying towards Kit. But, of course, Kit is prideful in his abilities (like he's one to talk) so Dipper does expect for Kit to be in over his head for it. Julia, herself is indifferent, she is only interested in what this match can go into. She doesn't know much about Dan, but she knows he's a powerful, and resourceful Duelist despite his age. If he can manage to land a lot of damage towards Declan, and clear his monsters at once, she wonders how Kit can handle him.
"Alright, you two. We are wasting time, and burning daylight here." Nico cleared his throat to get their attention which worked as they looked at him. "Alright, so let's get this duel started. I'll help things along by activating the Sword's Cemetery Action Field!" Nico raised a virtual card in his hand which shows a wasteland with swords sticking out of the ground.
"Augmented reality combat system energized. Generating Action Field."

While Sora, Zuzu, Julia, and Dipper stepped back to give some room with Nico the field transformed into the Action Field selected. Dan looked around seeing the barren wasteland like area with swords out of the ground. He had seen the KeyBlade Graveyard, and this is giving him far too many reminders of said KeyBlade War that happened in the Kingdom Hearts game series. He hopes that no more wars that resulted in this can happen anymore.
"I hope you've been stepping up your game Zuzu." Julia decided before the match to try talking smack to Zuzu who turned over with a narrowed look. "If we do meet each other in the Arc-League, you will be guaranteed that I will win over you like before."
"I wouldn't be sure about Julia. By the time we do duel, you will be surprised what I can do." Zuzu spoke over determination on her expression while Julia shrugged. Zuzu had been practicing a lot with Sora to be ready, and to learn over Fusion Summoning. She knows that by the time they start dueling Zuzu will master Fusion Summoning, and win against Julia. For now they have a Duel to spectate, and look back towards Dan, and Kit who ready themselves.
"Now we are here together as warriors!"

With that the Action Card sphere that had gathered at the top of the field broke apart scattering the Action Cards all over the field. Dan stared over towards Kit who had a smirk himself from this. Dan already knows that this Action Field is Kit's home field advantage, so this will not be easy. Well it all comes down to this match over how it can go. So Dan decided, like Kit wanted, to use his Synchro Deck against Kit so that he can give Kit what he wants; a battle of Synchro, so that Kit can battle for real.
Kit 1st Turn:
"Okay then kid, we are at my home turf! That means, I will go first!" Dan nodded from it with no complaints there while Kit checked his hand. He grinned over seeing the kind of hand he has. He will prove that he is the best on this field, and with this kind of hand it is possible. So he takes a card and places it on the field. "Okay, kid I will start with this! XX-Saber Emmersblade!"
Raising up on the field was a mantis like warrior chittering as it readied itself on the field. It's raptorial forelegs are golden in color, and looked to be real blades with it's body also being golden with shining silver armor around it's form as well with a black, and red thorax, and a red cape on its body. Its eyes are dark green with 2 green antennae on its head. Its wings are under the cape as translucent blue.

'X-Saber... A really old Deck...' Dan had seen a couple of X-Saber cards when he started the game, and they were focused mainly on hand control against the opponents which due to less support they have, doesn't really work well with them. If Kit is the best in the Synchro Course, and this was the Deck he has, then he should expect some cards from the X-Sabers he has never seen before, maybe even some Synchros themselves.
"Then I activate, the Continuous Spell, Fire Formation - Tenki!" Kit shows a spell which shows of Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Hawk and Raven together with flames all around them.

Emmersblade isn't a Beast-Warrior, so why does Kit have that? Kit takes a card from his Deck, and shows it. Adding it, he then placed another spell on the field. "Next is another Fire Formation! Tensu!" Another spell which shows of Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Gorilla and Bear appear in the artwork

"So now, I can summon a Beast-Warrior from my hand even if I already summoned, and those monsters gain 100 points as long as it's in play." Kite explained which makes Dan understand now. He had planned to add another monster, and then summon it with Emmersblade. "Like this one! XX-Saber Boggart Knight!"
Raisin up onto the field was a goblin like knight. Unlike the other Goblin monsters such as the Goblin of Greed, this one is not comical looking where he has sharp teeth, and a rather broad chin. He is also wearing armor around his body where it's only shoulders, and the top of the torso covered with gauntlets belt, and legs with black pants on. There are also silver spikes on his elbows, and his helmet as well alongside a red cape. In his hand was a sword resembling a pirate like appearance while the blade was glowing bright ready with a grin.

This next monster is a man having blue armor on his form with fur peeking out of it. A part of the shoulder has some claws that look like a bear's claw on it with long black hair to its chin. He also is wearing a belt where the golden buckle has a X on it, and with a fur like kilt around his waist with some claws hanging off the belt. In his hand was a serrated sword that is white, and gold at the hilt, and an X at the blue gem on the cross-guard.

Three monsters... but none are Tuners. So what exactly is Kit planning here? He must be up to something though, cause even though he summoned a lot this turn, this can't really be the Synchro Duelist he is as he's lacking a Synchro monster right now.
Kit might've sensed this which he grinned towards Dan. "What? Waiting for a Synchro? I got something in mind but that'll come later!" He sets a card after saying that with his turn done for now.

Dan 1st Turn:
While Dan is a bit confused from this, he knows he can't take much time to dwell over it. After all, it does look like Kit is up to something here so he needs to be careful. He still doesn't know what the X-Sabers are capable of but shouldn't worry too much, he will know soon. So he drew ready. "I draw!" He checks over seeing he has Red Dragon Vase, Garbage Lord, Creation Resonator, Monster Reincarnation, King Scarlet, and his drawn card is Majestic Dragon. The last card took him off guard kind of as he hardly had the chance to use it for real.
He can't use the card right now so he places it in his hand before then taking Garbage Lord's card. "I start by paying 2000 life points! That may seem like a big cost but it lets me summon this guy! Garbage Lord!" At that, something popped up in front of him.
It is simple appearance as a purple skinned fiend, a little lean in terms of being muscular. He is wearing a large scrap-like sash around his torso going over his right shoulder, and wielding a blue, and gold staff in his left hand while having 2 bands on his arm. Underneath the sash was a large red robe, and a yellow line downward. Around his neck is some sort of golden ornament with a white mask, and red eyes. There is also a golden like crown on top of it's head too.

"2000 points for summoning a Level 5 monster?" Dipper raised an eyebrow from this, a bit taken aback by this. Well, why wouldn't he? There are better Level 5 options such as Cyber Dragon, Vice Dragon, or whatever else that can be summoned easily without such a hefty cost of 2k LP. That takes out half of your LP the moment it's summoned, so why would Dan have a monster like that? Synchro plays for sure but it's such a risky card to use.
"That is such a large cost." Sora spoke thinking the same as Dipper, also a bit off-guard from Garbage Lord being summoned by paying 2000 LP. Although, he kinda guessed the reason here unlike Dipper. "Probably to avoid the Trap Hole cards or something?"
"It has no attack points, so I can see why that would be a possibility..." Julia does agree with Sora that the reason Dan has Garbage Lord was to circumvent the Trap Hole cards that can disrupt playstyles the moment a monster is summoned. Otherside from the original, Trap Hole (although it only works if Garbage Lord is Tribute Summoned which is unlikely), Garbage Lord can resist through a lot of those cards. "I'm not sure if the 2000 point risk is worth it though..."
"Well let's see what it can do then." They all agreed with Zuzu suggesting this, turning back towards the duel to keep watching.
"Next, I summon, Creation Resonator!" Dan then takes his other monster card placing it onto the field where a Resonator rose up, different from Dark Resonator, and Clock Resonator.
This one has the same rod, and tuning fork as the others alongside a purple robe, and a yellow flame at the front with the same mask, and white angel wings alongside a large blue flower on its back sprouting.

Red Dragon Archfiend charges in its fist coated in fire to take down Boggart Knight who readied its sword to battle back. The claw thrusted down but in Boggart Knight's place from the attack was Emmersblade which Dan blinked surprised. "What, why is Emmersblade being attacked?"
"Cause of this! Shift!" Kit, despite wincing from the shockwave of a more powerful attack in his way revealed a trap was activated on his field. It was Shift where a purple monster had swapped places with a white silhouette as apparent by the arrows on it.

Emmersblade was effortlessly crushed by the Absolute Power Force while the extra damage made its way to Kit. (Kit: 2300/Hand: 0) He still held a smirk over before he spoke. "And now as Emmersblade was destroyed, a couple of things happen! First would be Emmersblade's effect, and followed with Axel's! We will start with Axel, where as a Saber was destroyed in battle, and sent to the graveyard, I draw!"
Kit drew before he then added. "Then next, Emmerblade lets me summon an X-Saber from my Deck as he was destroyed!" From that they now realized the goal of Kit's off moves, he was intending to benefit from Dan destroying his monster, and have something when Red Dragon Archfiend is around. Kit takes a card from his Deck placing it on his Duel Disk. "So now, let us welcome this one! XX-Saber Fulhelmknight!"
Raising up within the field as long blonde hair with blue eyes ready on the field with his sword that seemed to be connecting through lightning almost like a whip while wearing a black, and red suit of armor, and two hip plates having glowing 'XX' on it. He twirled the sword as he made his way onto the field.

Now that's a Tuner. Kit picked until here to summon it, so that he can be ready against Red Dragon Archfiend. Dan right now can't do much else here so he checks over the remaining 4 cards in his hand before then taking King Scarlet, and setting it on the field. "I end my turn."
"Now Kit has the monsters he needs to Synchro Summon. Looks to be Gottoms at this rate, which is stronger then Dan's monster." Zuzu brought up a good point as from seeing Dan duel only once, Kit already found a strategy to face it head-on, and limit Dan able to predict him. So now its Kit's turn, and they looked over to see he has another plan in mind.

Fulhelmknight jumped up as he meditated before turning to 3 rings while Boggart Knight flew up himself passing through the rings that transformed him into 4 stars.

Raising onto the field was a larger warrior wielding 2 swords having the X in the cross-guard in a x crossed formation. He is quite muscular as well, alongside wearing some black plated armor around his waist, and on his left shoulder, complete with knee plates, a golden X on his belt buckle, and bandages around his form. He also has on a red tattered cloak around his neck with black hair with sideburns, and a beard goatee.

"And now with him on the field, I can get started! First let's get some help! With the aid of XX-Saber Faultroll!" Emerging from the call was a red armored heavy plated warrior complete with two wing like armor plates on his back alongside a red cape. He is also muscular as much as Souza alongside a black tank top in place of armor around the top of his torso area. Connected to his arms looked like tubes that seemed to be amplifying his strength as evident by the large sword he carried one-handed. He also has a scar on his face, complete with a red visor over his eyes.

"And since I did that, I can use its special ability! It revives 1 Level 4 or lower X-Saber from the graveyard! Revive, Fulhelmknight!" Faultroll stabbed his sword in the ground which Fulhelmknight jumped out of.

"His Tuner is back... is he gonna do a Level 10 Synchro?"
"Not exactly." Kit grinned over to his opponent. Although Level 10 is tempting at this point, he has something better in mind. "Level 3 Fulhelmknight tunes level 6 Faultroll!" From that Fulhelmknight once again turned to 3 rings which Faultroll jumped, turning to 6 stars to synchronize together.

Raising up beside Souza was another large warrior, more beast than man in terms of size. He has on silver plated heavy armor with a large blade that's middle part is hollowed out completely alongside wearing a steel helmet. It also has the usual X on his belt buckle, and of course a large red cape.

"Level 9, and 7..." Dan starred up knowing only one other person who can have 2 Synchros at the same time, and looked to still do more. Yusei Fudo, the protagonist of 5D's, and who uses strong Warrior monsters with complex strategies. If both Yusei, and Kit dueled each other he isn't sure who will win. But it's not like that will ever happen right?

"And I know, you're probably tired now but I still have more."
"There's more?" Dan questioned hearing that.
"I still haven't Normal Summoned this turn." Confirmed by Kit that he still has more from that sentence. Taking the card he drew from Axel he placed it down onto the field. "Like this card! XX-Saber Ragigura!" This time came a chameleon-like monster in between Souza, and Gottoms. It is green scaled with yellow eyes, and two yellow spikes on the nose. It is also wearing silver armor with red baggy pants, and armor on his feet while the claws are free. He also has two armband guards that have small spikes on them alongside holding 2 small daggers but has a blade strapped by rope on both of them. As always it has X on its belt buckle, and a red cape.

"Yeah low stats. But it carries powerful effects! Ragigura can allow me to add 1 X-Saber from my graveyard to my hand!" Kit takes Faultroll's card, adding it to his hand with a grin. He then reveals it towards Dan to make him understand his next move. "And as I have 2 X-Sabers in play, I can summon Faultroll from my hand immediately!" From that Faultroll rose back up towards the field letting out a warcry.
XX-Saber Faultroll: (Attack Position)
"Five monsters at once?" Dan widens his eyes from this, hardly seeing anyone without Pendulum able to quickly fill up their monster zones. Not only was the task of doing that difficult to do with most Decks, it is also time consuming, and uses too many resources. But in just 2 short turns, Kit had managed to do that. Dan is thinking that Kit is gonna do another Synchro, heck the others are thinking so as well because that is the type of person Kit is. However he has a different strategy in mind.
"I activate Souza's ability!" Ragigura vanished from the field as Souza crossed its swords together further. "By Tributing an X-Saber on my field, Souza cannot be destroyed by your trap cards!" A protective aura appeared around Souza to show his new immunity.

"After that, I can use Faultroll's special ability to revive Ragigura from the graveyard!" Faultroll opened the graveyard portal again which made Ragigura jump out of the graveyard ready on the field against the powerful dragon.

"Faultroll is a soft once a turn?" Dan had of course the 'soft once per turn', and 'hard once per turn' kind of thing going on. Soft refers to the 'Once per turn:' on the cards while hard refers to 'You can only activate this effect of "Blah Blah Blah" once per turn.' on different cards where some restrictions make some cards not too powerful. Thus the hard once per turn was born to do so, and while the soft once per turn is still around from time to time, most of the time is hard once per turn.
"Here's something, I can do how many times I want." Kit takes a card from his graveyard with a grin. "As Ragigura was summoned, I took a X-Saber from the graveyard to the hand." Taking the card he reveals it is the card of Boggart Knight adding it to his hand to use for later. "Now..." Taking his bamboo sword he swung it which made some cards flown up from the burst of wind the bamboo sword had brought over. He ran over towards the Action Card nearest to him as he raised an arm. "Now I use Gottoms' effect two times! I sacrifice Ragigura, and Axel to send two cards in your hand to the graveyard!"
"What?" The two mentioned X-Sabers turned to energy when Gottoms pointed his sword at Dan as they charged in striking 2 random cards in his hand. As luck would have it the cards that are hit were Monster Reincarnation, and Majestic Dragon. Dan grunted over this, taking the cards, and sent them to the graveyard, nothing he can do for them now. Still left with, Red Dragon Vase since Kit didn't hit it was a good thing. Seems like X-Saber's theme of hand control still exists despite all of the new Synchro, and stuff they have now.
"Battle!" Kit takes an Action Card pointing over at Red Dragon Archfiend. "Okay Gottoms attack Red Dragon Archfiend!" Gottoms readied its large sword charging forward towards Red Dragon Archfiend to attack, and destroy it as it roared in defiance.
"I activate King Scarlet!" While moving for an Action himself, Dan quickly uses his face-down.

"When I activate this card while, Red Dragon Archfiend battles, I can prevent its destruction!" Gottoms slashed down on Red Dragon Archfiend which a scarlet barrier protected it from destruction.
"Maybe, but the damage is still going to you!"
From the reminder some electricity from the attack made its way to Dan which he raised an arm. (Dan: 1700/Hand: 1) The damage might not seem like much, but with 2000 points already paid for, it got threatening.
"After the battle, King Scarlet is summoned as a monster." Dan spoke as the trap spawned a small field on the field.

"Tch, so your trap doesn't destroy Souza." Kit spoke over having expected the face-down to be a destruction trap which is why he had Souza use its trap immunity card but apparently that wasn't the case. Ah well, he can still make this work here. "I can still take care of your dragon any-who! With, Extreme Sword!" It was shown as a colorful sword in the usual art of Action Cards.

"With this Souza gains 1000 points during battle!" Souza's swords grew in length to showcase the Action Spell's effect.

Seeing how strong Souza is, Dan ran to try finding an Action Card before it's too late. Kit noticing this swung his Bamboo Sword again which made some Action Cards fly out of where they were hiding. Seeing the closest one, Kit ran over to try grabbing it. "Souza attacks the Red Dragon Archfiend!" Souza readied his swords before jumping in towards Red Dragon Archfiend.
Dan, seeing an Action Card in the air, quickly grabbed it before he activated it after seeing what it was real quick. "I activate the Action Spell, Evasion!"

Kit grabbed his next Action Card. He sees it was Overpass which doesn't help him against Evasion so Red Dragon Archfiend dodged the attack flying above Dan. The Leo Synchro Duelist shrugged off this failed attack. "Ah well, I can take care of your dragon later! Faultroll attacks King Scarlet!" Faultroll charged in raising its blade, and slashed down destroying King Scarlet without much of a contest in strength with it having 0 ATK against Faultroll's 2400.
This could be going better. Dan is against 3 strong monsters, and all he has is Red Dragon Archfiend on the field to face them. Kit is a strong Duelist, and he wondered what kind of more skill he has hiding under this. Well he can find out soon here in this match.
"Alright kid, I'll end my turn here." Left with the Action Card he got, Kit sets a card to end his turn for now. With the turn's end Souza's swords lowered down back to normal size.

Shaking his head to focus now, Dan drew. Checking, he sees it was, Red Screen. A useful card that Declan had stopped before but Kit shouldn't be able to do that again. Checking over his hand, Dan sees the only other card he has is, Red Dragon Vase. Now that he fits the conditions he set for the Spell he takes it. "I activate, Red Dragon Vase!" The spell shows a decorative vase that resembles Red Dragon Archfiend itself enveloped in flames.

"As I have, Red Dragon Archfiend on the field, I draw 2 cards! But until the end of your turn, I cannot summon a monster." Dan drew two cards checking them. They are Level Eater, and Powerful Rebirth. Useful cards but at this point... Dan looked over, seeing the two traps, and a single monster in his hand. From how this is looking, it be hard to make a move able to do something against Kit... he is unable to summon Level Eater from the hand as Red Dragon Vase prevents him, and the only Level 1 Tuner in his GY is Majestic Dragon, a card he can't use to Synchro Summon unless it's a... Majestic... monster.
Getting an idea, Dan widens his eyes before looking over towards Kit who is grinning over waiting for the move on hand. This move is risky, but if he can manage it, and survive then he can manage to do this. So he checks placing down the two traps. "I set two cards face-down!" Two set cards appeared on the field before pointing ahead. "And now, Red Dragon Archfiend attacks Souza with Absolute Power Force!" Red Dragon Archfiend roared charging in towards the Synchro Monster who grinned readying his swords.
Kit takes his Action Card activating it. "I activate Overpass!" The card shows colorful roads overlapping each other.

Seeing this Dan looked around noticing an Action Card by his feet, and quickly took it. Seeing the card was Extreme Sword, Dan quickly used it. "I activate Extreme Sword! So Red Dragon Archfiend gains 1000 points until the end of the turn!" The Action Spell quickly powered up Red Dragon Archfiend against Souza making itself the dominant monster once more.

Red Dragon Archfiend thrusted its flaming claw forward striking through Souza destroying it while Kit grunted over but didn't panic. (Kit: 1800/Hand: 1) "I activate Saber Reflection!" A spell showing the X-Saber crest glowing in light raised up.

When you take battle or effect damage while you control an "X-Saber" monster: Gain LP equal to the damage you took, and if you do, inflict the same amount of damage to your opponent, then you can add 1 "Saber" Spell/Trap Card or "Gottoms" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Saber Reflection" per turn.
"As I just took damage, I can have you take the damage, and I gain Life Points equal to that damage!" A shield appeared that blasted an attack at Dan striking his shoulder.

Okay that attack didn't go so well but at least he gotten rid of one threat. So Dan checked over the field, and his hand. Seeing an Action Card he ran over towards it. "I end my turn here which means Overpass, and Extreme Sword's effects end!"

"Okay, I don't see what that kid is up to. But, he is probably done at this point." Dipper spoke over seeing that Kit is gonna win this match. Gottoms is powerful enough to destroy it, and with Faultroll, he can handle whatever he has when he Synchro Summons again.
"Don't count out Dan just yet." Zuzu spoke to him despite the odds Dan can do this.

"The trap card from before Declan stopped it." Julia spoke, recalling the trap. When Dan tried using it on Declan, the young president just shrugged it off by cancelling it's effects. "Kit doesn't have anything that works like Siegfried on the field does he?"
"No, he doesn't." Dipper confirmed with a shrug himself. "Although, I don't doubt that Kit will break through that, and hinder him."
Sora, and Zuzu have bad feelings, and don't argue. If a Duelist is trying what they can to prevent attacks like this, then it means they are being pushed back, and trying to stall for time. And that usually ends badly trying to stall for time.
Kit frowned from being unable to attack as he looked at his current hand. Seeing what he can do he grinned seeing how he can handle Dan's next move before he called. "Alright kid, you may have made me unable to attack this turn, but I can still force you off! First off, I use Faultroll's ability to revive Fulhelmknight!" Faultroll dug his sword in the graveyard which revived Fulhelmknight jumping up.

"Then I tune it with Faultroll!" Fulhelmknight turned to 3 rings that Faultroll flew synchronizing together.

"A second one..." Dan muttered to himself. It makes sense, that Kit would have several copies of the same card in his Deck. So that he can bring back another one, or have more resources to continue his strategies along.
"And next I activate Gottoms' Second Call!" Kit used his added spell which is X-Saber Gottoms raising its sword to the sunset sky.

"As I control a X-Saber that is a Synchro Monster, I can bring back 2 X-Sabers from the graveyard with there attack points 0, and destroy them at the end of the turn! I also cannot battle the turn, so I use this card!" Two graveyard portals appeared in front of him as he raised his arm. "So come back again, Faultroll, and Emmersblade!"
Faultroll, and Emmersblade rose from both graveyard portals, and although they have been weakened, can still fight if necessary.

"Not really! I activate Gottoms' effect!" Kit, called as Faultroll, turned to energy when Gottoms pointed his sword striking Level Eater in Dan's hand that he discarded. This time what rose was a young warrior wearing golden armor with a blue robe within it with the usual Xs, and red cape. He also has a golden helmet with a blue glass visor on it, and wields a katana. He also has black pants with bronze armor around the legs.

"What!?" Dan widened his eyes as the new Synchro monster charged in slashing Red Screen, and the set Powerful Rebirth which destroyed them. Now Dan's plan to summon what he was thinking is gone, and due to, Red Dragon Vase he wasn't able to summon Majestic Dragon back from the graveyard. From Kit both destroying his hand, and clearing his Spells & Traps, he now has nothing left. Nothing but Red Dragon Archfiend.
"He might be lucky that Kit can't attack this turn but now, he doesn't have anything to change this around." Julia had her arms crossed while watching this. Declan was a powerful opponent so she assumed Dan had the wrong opponent during that time, but against Kit the best student of the Synchro Course, then he's pushing his luck.
"I wouldn't be too sure... Dan doesn't look like he is giving up." Sora however sees Dan's grin, and despite this hard front, Dan isn't willing to give up. "Whenever he makes that look, he is ready to keep going."
"But what can he do?" Dipper's question wasn't answered as they turned over for what Dan can do here as Kit ended his turn simply with a set card. Nothing else he can do if he can't attack.

Dan takes a breath readying to draw. "Okay, my turn!" He hopes to draw for the cards he needs against Kit here. If he can't get what he needs here, then he will lose. He will duel for fun but if he's brought here for a reason, then he needs to advance forward by winning this duel. He closed his eyes to ready himself before opening them. "Okay I am owning the zone! I draw!" He drew before he turned over in slow-motion seeing the card he had drawn. Chain Resonator.
A card that surprised him but smiled placing it on the field. "I summon Chain Resonator!" From that a burst of chains appeared before it formed into another Resonator. Has the usual hood, tuning fork, and rod the others had but its robe is purple, and big black cuffed alongside a yellow picture on it. It also has black chains floating with it.

"When this card is summoned while a Synchro Monster is on the field, I can take a Resonator from my Deck, and summon it as long as it's not a second copy of Chain Resonator!" Dan searches his Deck, and takes his selected card. "Dark Resonator!" Dark Resonator rose up beside Chain Resonator in front of Red Dragon Archfiend.

"Two Tuners on the field? What is he doing, he can't use two Tuners to Synchro Summon." Julia pointed out seeing this as it's common sense for 1 Tuner to be used for Synchro Summoning not 2. It would be something else if Synchro Duelists can use 2 or more Tuners to Synchro Summon but right now that isn't possible.
At least what she thinks which Dan grinned at. So Double-Tuning hasn't been known yet... he had intended on this move against Declan but from him being way more powerful than he expected wasn't able too. So now he can do it. "Oh really? Well check this out!" He raised his arm as both Resonators, and Red Dragon Archfiend flew up. "Level 1 Chain Resonator, and Level 3 Dark Resonator double tune with Level 8 Red Dragon Archfiend!"
"Say what!?" Kit widened his eyes from what he heard alongside Sora, Dipper, Julia, and Zuzu having believed Synchro Summoning with more than one Tuner wasn't possible.
The truth is given when Chain Resonator, and Dark Resonator turned to 4 flaming rings that Red Dragon Archfiend passed through, turning to 8 stars to synchronize together.

"King of the Demonic Dragons! Evolve to your most superior form through the Crimson Devil, and gain power for you to protect the Earth, and the Stars above! Synchro Summon! Level 12, Red Nova Dragon!"
Bursting out from the large flames was a giant red, and black colored dragon. It has red horns on its head, and red spine spikes on its back down to its spear-like tail end while having a blue crystal diamond at its chest. Its wings are also large, and bulky with spikes on them with red flame designs over them with yellow eyes. It also has two horns on both sides of its head roaring loud.

All five of the spectators alongside Kit were staring at the dragon in shock. A Synchro Monster that can be summoned by using 2 Tuners? In all of their history of seeing, learning, or hearing about Synchro Summons, they had never seen a Synchro Summon like how Dan just did. Even Kit, the one who is above the entire Synchro Course, never saw this before. Not even Declan who is quietly spectating through a camera. It takes a lot for Declan to be caught off-guard by something but seeing a Synchro Summon like this, was beyond everything of what he expected from a Duelist like Dan. 'Dan Kizami... what are you?'
"Now here is Red Nova Dragon's starting power! For every Tuner, in the graveyard, he gains 500 attack points!" Dan called which makes Majestic Dragon, and his three Resonators appeared in spectral forms before turning to crimson energy flying up, and entering Red Nova Dragon's diamond which allowed it to roar gaining power.

"5500!?" Kit stepped back shocked seeing the amount of power it now has.
"Now Red Nova Dragon attacks X-Saber Hyunlei!"
Said Synchro Monster readied as Red Nova Dragon starts charging a flaming attack starting to fly right in against him. Kit quickly activated his face-down to stop it. "I activate my face-down, Sakuretsu Armor!" A trap showing Dark Lucius LV4 wearing some kind of armor retaliating against some attackers was flipped.

"This card destroys an attacking monster!" A blast formed blasting over towards Red Nova Dragon triggering a large smoke cloud. Kit looked over before grinning. He couldn't resist the urge to taunt his opponent. "Well then, kid... you actually made me nervous for a second there. But looks like your ultimate monster is-" His taunt was cut short when Red Nova Dragon flew out of the smoke cloud still keeping up its attack which Kit widened his eyes shocked. "What!?"
"Sorry Kit but I'm afraid it'll take a lot more than that!" Dan spoke with a grin. He raised his hand towards Red Nova Dragon while explaining what happened. "See Red Nova Dragon not only gains power from the graveyard, it is also immune to any effects you try to destroy him!" Kit looked shocked from this watching as Red Nova Dragon charged ahead towards Hyunlei within breakneck speed. He thought that Sakuretsu Armor would work like it often does for him so he didn't feel the need to grab an Action Card. An act that proved to be his undoing. "Blazing Soul!" Red Nova Dragon tackled Hyunlei destroying him while Kit grunted before yelling out as the attack's strength knocked him off his feet, and landed on the ground defeated.

"Yeah, I owned the zone!" Dan spoke grinning over that he had won with Red Nova Dragon while the field, and monsters vanished.
"How... how can there be a monster needing two Tuners to Synchro Summon?" Julia still can't get her head around that detail.
While she is worried about that Dipper heads over to Kit who slowly sat up in shock from how the duel just went. He is the best student of LID's Synchro Course, and has lost to someone who has more capabilities of Synchro Summoning with 2 Tuners. How can this be...? "Looks like you lost, like I said you would." Kit glared over towards Dipper in annoyance.
"Yeah, laugh it up..." Dan walked over to them which Kit turned over towards him. Then the defeated Duelist sighed before lowering his head. "You're pretty good... If you were in LID, you would be the best Synchro Course Student."
"Yeah, maybe... but you're better suited." Kit blinked as he looked up towards him. Dan gave a small smile towards him. "You still gave a pretty fun duel, and had me use Red Nova Dragon. I would've been able to summon something else, I wanted to summon for a long while but wasn't able to. Maybe I will get lucky the next time I try." He then offers a hand to Kit who stares but takes it where Dan helps him up smiling. "But what's to be ashamed of after such an amazing duel you brought out. You started out with a strategy, I wasn't able to figure out, and gave me a hard time."
"You're a pretty weird kid, you know that?" Kit shrugged with crossed arms but had a grin on his face. Then he looked serious looking at Dan. "But just know that you have a big task on your hands now." Dan blinked from this where Kit leaned down poking his finger against Dan's chest. "Since you defeated me, you need to keep your winning streak up! Losing will make me look bad! Got that!?"
"Y-Yes sir!" While surprised from this Dan understood loud, and clear with a salute.
"Well, I say we are done here." Nico cleared his throat after all the crazy. "I must be getting back, and find what is next for young Dan here. I must assist Yuya with his own matches, the Arc-League is drawing near after all." He bowed before he left the building to try helping Yuya advance on time, and see how he is doing with Pierre.
"Little buddy, how did you manage to get a monster like that?" Dan turned to Sora blinking which Sora clarified over. "The one that needs 2 Tuners to summon!"
"Oh uh..." Dan isn't sure if can explain the truth. This entire world, and stuff is fictional to where he is so he isn't sure how they will react. So he needs to lie for now, and although this will make him guilty, at least the truth will be hidden for now.
But luckily before that, Dipper had unintentionally saved his hide. "Well, I suppose this round goes to you for now." They looked over where Julia stood before Dipper with Kit along with them. "We actually had made a small bet here me, and Kit. Should he win, I take us out for Ice Cream. He loses, he pays for it instead. And since you won, I will pay for them."
"Oh wow, Ice Cream!" Sora, and Zuzu's eyes sparkled at the chance for some Ice Cream that thankfully helped Dan out of explaining how he has Red Nova Dragon and lying to people. So he sent a grateful smile towards Dipper who raised an eyebrow from it but Julia patted Kit's back which snapped him out of it while looking annoyed.
"Well you know my usual. Hope your allowance can cover it."
"You all better eat everything." Kit spoke over his eye twitching clearly not thrilled on using his hard earned money for a lot of Ice Cream. With nothing more to say they all walked out of LID to the nearest Ice Cream parlor shop.
A few minutes later...
After arriving they all ordered their Ice Creams, and sat down together on a table outside the shop. Sora got himself loaded with a sundae with numerous toppings that made a dent on Kit's allowance. Dipper only got a vanilla ice cream bowl which he is eating silently, and Julia has a banana split with just whip cream, and a cherry. Zuzu also just had a chocolate ice cream bowl, and Dan finally has vanilla ice cream with a chocolate magic shell. Dan himself can't recall the last time he had ice cream, things had been so hard at home for a while with foster care not giving him an allowance, and all while working on his small jobs. Then there is all of this just staying at Yuya's place until he can manage to figure out what he is here for, or who brought him here.
Actually speaking of that, he hasn't thought over trying to think who that person was exactly. All he knows so far is that it's a woman that came from one of his Decks. That doesn't give any clear answers over who it could be, or why he is here exactly. Still he is willing to work, and see what he can find, and the Arc-League should be the start of that. And he has 2 out of 6 duels he needs to do so if he keeps this up he can reach the qualifications in time.
"Well well, I didn't expect you three to sit with the people involved in who attacked me."
Hearing the voice they all turned over where a boy was walking over with a smirk. He has brown, and blonde hair that's been styled with layers alongside grayish blue eyes with a bang in front of his face, and the top of his head. He also has on the Paradise Prep School Uniform alongside an LID badge on the collar.
"Not by choice, I assure you Sylvio." Kit grumbled over face-palming himself. "Me, and Dipper made a bet, and since I lost, I took us out for Ice Cream with the visitors paid by me."
"Makes sense, I figured you wouldn't really side with my attackers." The boy, Sylvio, spoke with a smirk on his face before he turned towards Zuzu who was glaring at him. "Don't you agree, Zuzu? Yuya, had crossed a line he shouldn't have by attacking me."
"Attacking him?" Dan spoke over surprised hearing that. He, of course, by Zuzu was told why LID was dueling You Show in the first place having first assumed that Sylvio had lied or something, from the duel between him, and Yuya. But Yuya attacked him? How much more arrogant do you have to be to hit Yuya with such slander because you lost, and stole from him?
"I suppose, this kid hasn't heard yet. Probably a new student." Sylvio spoke, noticing Dan, and cleared his throat taking a picture out of his coat. "Take a look at this." He reveals the picture to Dan showing Sylvio in numerous casts. Dan blinked seeing it, and Sylvio let out fake tears. "Oh do you feel sorry for this poor soul? Who had suffered through agony after being attacked by the star of You Show?"
"...When was that?"
"1 week."
"...You look pretty good for someone who's suppose to be really injured. Most people in that condition take about a month, and a half."
Sylvio froze from this while Dipper, and Kit chuckled to themselves from Dan not being fooled from Sylvio's victim card act. Sora, despite his face covered in Ice Cream, started laughing while Zuzu, and Julia just shook their heads amused themselves. Sylvio glared over towards Dan for figuring out his ruse but he still has the truth on hand. "Okay yeah maybe I am not as 'injured' as I claimed, but Yuya really did attack me!"
"I don't believe you. I haven't known him for long but Yuya wouldn't do something like that."
Sylvio smirked, turning towards Zuzu. "Do you want to tell him Zuzu? You've seen it for yourself first hand."
"Your right, I have." Zuzu confirmed that she did. But she glared over. "But that wasn't Yuya." Sylvio blinked from this as Zuzu stood up staring deeper. "I had seen him again the other day, and he was dueling Dan. While Yuya was with me. So it means that the person who came in that time is not Yuya."
Sylvio grunted over this. While a bit upset that now his claim of Yuya attacking him was no longer viable from being proven that Yuya, and who attacked him that had the same face as him were different people, he is not willing to let Yuya go without a fight. By the time that the Arc-League comes around he will show Yuya who the superior duelist is over Pendulum once the Leo Institute finishes developing the Pendulum cards they are working on. Quietly he stared over before turning, and walked off to carry on with his business.
"Just ignore him." Sora frowned over before turning to Dan. "He always was arrogant as his father was elected mayor."
"His father is the mayor?" Dan probably missed that little detail on the little that he knows about him.
"Yeah, who likes to flaunt his power to do what he wants." Dipper answered with a shrug. He then sighed over. "He has talent but he needs to stop being so arrogant all the time."
"You're the one to talk to." Julia after swallowing her current bite of her split couldn't help taunting that Dipper glared towards her. Then she looked over towards Dan. "So Dan... your duel against Kit was your second duel wasn't it?"
"Yeah it was."
"Well, I speak for all three of us but we think you can compete on time." Julia grinned over to him while Dan started blinking after hearing that. "After seeing that Synchro Summon, we have some feelings you have more hiding away." Dipper, and Kit both nodded agreeing with their classmate about it. Dan smiled over from hearing that. Now he has some more people depending on him to keep going. He will keep going, and compete on time. That's a promise.
And there we are with Dan vs Kit here. I tried making it better then it was originally, and now it be up to you all to judge about it. Do you all notice something else on this though?

Well it's simple, I used Google Docs like some of you recommend to deal with my grammar issue since grammar correction isn't my thing on my lonesome. It has make grammar correction simpler which is a relief. And I honestly thought of Majestic Red Dragon in this match but trying to have Kit, and Dan make plays that makes sense, going through all the stops, and no misplays to happen, have to sacrifice that. At least Red Nova Dragon appeared like it did originally, and funnily enough Dan never summoned it after Ray's training in the original so it didn't even had a chant.
Well next chapter is what I am waiting for, one of the new changes in this version of Ascension. If you remember Sora's duel against a student while singing, that is the Duel School where his next match will be from.
