It was late at night when Stefan and Damon returned with Vicky. I had a feeling that I would have to lock my door to keep her out. I didn't know if it was a good idea to have her in the house with us. Though, I was a little bit surprised to see that they were just standing outside with her. I couldn't figure out why they were doing that.

"What are you doing?" I asked. It did seem like the best idea was to ask.

"We need you to invite her in." Stefan explained. Oh. I supposed that Zach was dead, I was the owner of the house as the only living person that lived there.

"We don't have all night." Damon added. I was debating whether or not it would be a good idea, but I probably needed to for the sake of the plot.

"Come in." I invited. As soon as she entered the house, she tackled me to the ground. I struggled before Damon grabbed her and broke her neck. I had a feeling that I was not going to like having her there "Thank you."

"She needs to get some human blood in her but it's not gonna be yours." Damon replied before carrying her off and taking her to one of the rooms. The good news was that things between Damon and the two of us seemed to have improved. Maybe blood was thicker than…vampire blood or something.

"Can we trust him?" I asked Stefan.

"We don't have much choice." He replied. He was right about that, even though he didn't truly understand why we had no choice. It was because we were on a show, and he was one of the main characters. "He saved my life tonight and now he's saved yours."

He hadn't technically saved my life because there was no guarantee that Vicki would have killed me. I decided to go to bed. I didn't know if I would be able to go to school in the morning, but I also didn't know if I would be able to sleep in.

In the morning, I showered and put on a navy tank top and a navy tank top with a skirt that went to my knees. I went and saw that Vicki was talking to her brother on the phone. She was trying to tell him why she couldn't go home, even though I wasn't entirely sure if she understood it.

One thing that I needed to deal with was the fact that it was Halloween. I didn't have a costume that I knew of, but I also didn't even know if I would be able to go anywhere that I would wear it. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of Halloween party and if there was, I would probably have to wear a costume to it.

The other thing that I probably needed to talk about was Stefan's breakup with Elena. He seemed like he was okay, but I had a feeling that he wasn't. As far as I could tell, their relationship hadn't advanced too far, but it still had to hurt when your girlfriend breaks up with you for something that you can't change about yourself.

I sat in the living room, closer to Damon because I wanted to stay away from her. It was really sad that I trusted him more than I did Vicki, but I did probably because I felt that he would feel protective over me like I was his little sister.

"Why can't I go home?" Vicki whined. Well for one, it was the daytime, and she couldn't go outside. The other reason was that it was probably dangerous.

"Because if you go out in the sun, you will die." I explained. I wondered if I would ever get a chance to see a vampire burn up in the sun.

"Plus, you're changing and that's not something that you want to do alone." Stefan added. It was also something that he didn't want her to do alone.

"There is nothing here about that Logan guy I killed." Damon remarked as he read the paper. "Someone's covering it up."

"Well, if you're so afraid, maybe you should get out of here." I suggested. I knew that it wouldn't work, but it was worth a shot.

"We should all be afraid, including you, my little vampire adjacent." Damon stated as played with the compass. It was apparently something that he had found with Logan, and it pointed to vampires.

"What is that?" Vicki questioned.

"It's a very old compass. Why did Logan Fell have it?" Damon pondered. I decided I felt like being sarcastic. I still didn't like him that much.

"Why don't we ask him?" I quipped.

"Hey, I'm hungry." Vicki interrupted. Stefan handed her a cup of blood. I couldn't help but wonder if he just had that on standby. "What is this?"

"It's what you're craving." Stefan answered. That wasn't a very good answer. What kind of blood was it?

"Don't lie to the girl. It's so not what she's craving." Damon argued. "She needs people blood."

"Yeah, why can't I have people blood?" Vicki asked. One reason was that I seemed to be the only person in the house, and I didn't want her to drink mine.

"Because people don't like it when you bite them." I answered. I could confirm that. It hurt a lot.

"You don't have to kill them." Damon explained. He probably didn't need to encourage her at the moment. "Just find someone and erase their memory."

"There's no guarantee that you can control yourself." Stefan lectured. "It takes years or at least months to learn that kind of control. You could kill someone and then you have to carry that with you for the rest of your life."

"Don't listen to him." Damon responded. It did seem like he was being a little overdramatic. There was no way that a vampire remembered every person they killed, was there? "His moral plane is way too big."

I then heard the bell and couldn't help but wonder who was there. Maybe it was Elena because it seemed like she would show up. If it wasn't her, then I had no idea. Damon went to answer it, and I followed slowly. He had a conversation with Elena that I couldn't hear before he left. I then walked closer to the door so I could see her before.

"Faith?" Elena asked. She was alone. I was just glad that she had come. I wondered if it meant that things weren't over with Stefan yet after all.

"I'm here." I told her as I came down.

"What's going on with Vicki because my brother and half the town are looking for her?" She questioned. I wished that I had a better answer for that because I didn't know what Stefan planned to do with her. I didn't know where she would get a ring to be able to go outside.

"She's upstairs." Stefan said as he appeared beside us.

"So, what's going to happen now?" Elena asked. Again, I didn't know the answer to that.

"I'm working with her." Stefan replied. "It's going to take some time. She's very volatile and impulsive, and a drug user and all of that is going to be heightened now that she's a vampire."

"So, she's a vampire with issues?" Elena asked. Did past drug use really affect her as a vampire? "What am I going to tell my brother or Matt?"

"I'm keeping her here until we know that she's safe." Stefan explained.

"How long is that?" Vicki interrupted from upstairs. She seemed to have the same question that I did.

"We'll talk about it later." Stefan promised her. I would guess that was code for 'I don't know.'

"Hey, Vicki, how are you?" Elena asked. That seemed like it wasn't a very good idea. I couldn't help but wonder how the two of them felt about each other. They had to know each other from when Elena was dating Matt.

"I'm fucking peachy." Vicki answered. This was going to be a long day. I kind of wished that I could be at school because I was pretty sure that it would less uncomfortable than what I was currently experiencing. I also couldn't help but wonder what things were like back in Lima. Had the same amount passed that had passed here? If it had then had the Glee won Nationals? I would say that they were probably favorited, but I didn't know since I couldn't see them anymore. I still missed everyone there, especially Rachel but I didn't know if I would ever see them again.

We went to the kitchen, and I sat next to Elena as Stefan lectured Vicki about coffee. I would have rather been at Beyoncé week than there at the moment. I couldn't help but wonder what Mr. Schue would do with that. He would probably do some kind of dance that he should not be doing.

"What if I want to drink human blood?" Vicki asked.

"Well, you'll have to live with that urge and fight it one day at a time." Stefan explained. That sounded kind of lame to be honest.

"Ugh, don't give me any of that 12 Steps crap." Vicki declared. "School counselor has already been down that road. It doesn't work for me."

"It can work. You just have to want it enough." Stefan told her. I didn't know if it would work for Vicki. I couldn't ever see her acting like Stefan because she seemed like she was a bitch.

"So, you've never had human blood?" Vicki asked him. I was pretty sure that he had, especially since he would have had to in order to become a vampire.

"It's been a long time." Stefan answered.

"How long." She persisted. As much as I wanted to know the answer to that, I didn't think that she had any right to ask him.

"None of your damn business!" I interrupted. I was starting to think that Vicki and I weren't going to like each other.

"I'm not proud of my past." Stefan stated.

"Does this sketchy feeling ever go away?" Vicki asked as she stood up. "It's like I have a massive hangover, and I didn't even drink anything. This daylight thing is a bitch. I need more blood. Where's your bathroom? I have to pee. Why do I have to pee? I thought I was dead."

He pointed her to the bathroom, and she walked off. Yeah, I definitely wasn't going to like her because all that she had done was complain since she got here.

"I'm gonna go get her some more blood." Stefan announced before he too walked off. That left me alone with Elena and I had a feeling that things were going to be awkward.

"So how are you?" I asked Elena since we hadn't had the chance to talk. Yup, things were awkward.

"False alarm." Vicki remarked as she reentered the room before Elena could answer. "My body's feeling really fucked up right now, but it's a good kind of fucked."

She took out her phone and began to text someone. I couldn't help but wonder who she was texting. It was also kind of weird to see someone not use a smartphone, but I imagined that she and Matt couldn't afford to get them.

"Who are you texting?" Elena asked.

"Jeremy." Vicki answered nonchalantly.

"Vicki, you can't see Jeremy right now." Elena told her. It wasn't going to work.

"Don't you start. I'll see whoever I wanna see." Vicki argued. I was beginning to think that Elena talking to her wasn't going to end well.

"Even though you could hurt him?" Elena asked.

"I would never hurt Jeremy." Vicki declared. Elena walked closer to her.

"I know you think that, but I can't take that risk." Elena responded. "You're going to have to let Jeremy go now."

"Oh really?" Vicki asked. She knew that Vicki was a vampire and thus a lot stronger than, didn't she? I was pretty sure that she didn't hold any authority at the moment. "And how long have you been preparing the 'You're not good enough.' speech? I'm assuming it predates the whole vampire thing."

"All I'm saying is Jeremy is not getting involved in any of this." Elena said as Vicki laughed. "I mean it."

"Or what?" Vicki countered before she grabbed Elena by the neck. I tried to stop her, but she pushed me to the floor. Okay, I was in no position to stop her. I wondered if that stake was around anywhere. "Let's get this straight. You had my brother whipped for 15 years and then you dumped him for this little twat. When I look at you, that's all I see. And I will see Jeremy whenever I want because I have some fun new little toys to play with and don't think I won't rip your little head off."

Vicki then put her down and I grabbed her and took her outside. She took some deep breaths. I figured it that it was a good idea to go somewhere that Vicki couldn't be at the moment.

"You saw what she did. She threatened me." Elena told me.

"Stefan says that she's on edge and we should excuse whatever she says right now even though I don't like her." I remarked. I really didn't like her. She didn't really seem like a sympathetic care. I couldn't help but wonder if the show's fans liked her. "But we're safe out here right now."

"I need to go home." She replied. "I'm sorry, Faith, but there's only so much that I can take."

I sighed and went back into the house. She was going to go without even talking to Stefan it seemed. I wondered what it would take for them to get back together, but I was pretty sure that Vicki being in our house would complicate things to say the least. At least Elena was safe from her.

I couldn't help but wonder if I should try to go somewhere for lunch, but the problem with that was there was only one restaurant in town, and they might wonder why I wasn't in school at the moment.

After dark, I went to the kitchen for some food. It seemed like I might need to cook more often or have one of them do it or something since I didn't have a parental figure anymore. On my way, I noticed that Stefan and Damon and Vicki were by the door.

"What's going on?" I asked them. I had a feeling that I wouldn't like it.

"Damon's trying to endanger people." Stefan answered. Why was he saying it like I had any way to stop him from doing that?

"I'm just taking her to the front yard." Damon argued. "She can't stay locked up all day."

I decided that I didn't want to deal with it and have some food. A few minutes later, Damon reentered the house without her. I had a feeling that he had done something that he wasn't supposed to do.

"What did you do?" I asked him.

"I kind of lost her." Damon replied. How do you lose a woman?

"Are you serious?" I questioned in exasperation. "You had one thing to do, and you failed at it."

"Don't piss me off." He warned me. He did bring about a good point there. "It makes me more liable to bite people."

I realized that messing with Damon really wasn't that smart. It was what got my dad killed.

At that point I got a text from Caroline asking me if I was coming to the Halloween party at the school. So it looked like there was Halloween party and I was pretty sure that the reason that I had heard about it was because I was going to be going. I went to my room and began to look for any sort of costume that I didn't know about. I looked in the closet before I found something.

"Damon!" I screamed.

"What?" He asked as he came into my room.

"Did you buy me this?" I questioned as I held up the costume.

"Yeah, and I think you should wear it." He replied.

"It doesn't have any pants." I pointed out with a blush. I supposed it wasn't underwear either though.

I sighed and started to put on the costume. One of the main reasons that I was doing it was that I had a feeling that Vicki would end up at the party.

At that moment, I heard the door open, and Stefan walked in.

"Did you find Vicki?" I asked him. He didn't have her with him at least.

"Yeah, I found her, but she was hiding in her house, and I couldn't convince Matt to invite me in." He explained. How was she going to explain to Matt that she couldn't go outside anymore? "Why are wearing that?"

I was wearing the Black Canary costume that Damon had gotten me which consisted of a leather jacket, navy leotard, fishnets and gloves.

"Because I think that she might be at this Halloween party at the school tonight and we would blend in a lot better if we wore costumes." I explained, even though he didn't really seem like the type to wear a costume. "And Damon ended up buying this for me. I don't know if he bought you one though."

The two of us ended up going to the school together. Unfortunately, as soon as he got there, he ended up ditching me.

"Hey Faith." I heard a voice, and I saw Lucy was there dressed as what appeared to be a sexy wolf.

"Lucy, I don't really have time to talk right now." I declared. "But maybe you can help me. Do you happen to know where Vicki Donovan is by any chance?"

"I don't know where she is right now, but I know that she was wearing a vampire costume." Lucy remarked. That was a little bit on the nose.

"Well, I need to go see if I can find her." I remarked before I ran off. She was probably wondering why I was looking for, but I didn't tell her. Fortunately, I found her with Stefan. A few seconds later, Elena showed up. She was wearing a sexy nurse costume.

"Thank God." Elena remarked as Matt appeared. He was either dressed as nurse or doctor. He was wearing scrubs, so I couldn't be sure.

"What's going on?" He asked. I tried to think of a good way to explain.

What happened next was Vicki using Matt as a distraction to escape from us. She basically told him that Stefan was bothering her, and it got him to try to fight Stefan. I had to admit that she was smarter than she looked.

"Guys, Vicki ran away." I announced. I decided that it was probably a good idea not to go by myself, so I grabbed Elena's hand and started to run with her. I didn't know where to look, but then I saw an open door and heard what appeared to be Jeremy screaming. They were outside by where they kept the buses and Vicki looked like she was feral. That was definitely not good.

"Vicki no!" Elena screamed as she grabbed a wooden plank and swung it at her. It definitely got Vicki to turn her attention away from Jeremy and towards us. Unfortunately, the wood broke on her and she threw Elena onto a wooden palette. It looked like it hurt a lot, and I could the blood showing through her costume.

Over the next minute, Stefan showed up and tried to fight her only for her to get away. He told us to go inside, but Vicki bit my neck, and I was once again reminded that vampire bites really hurt. Suddenly the pain subsided when she fell off of me and I saw that she had a piece of wood sticking through her. Stefan must have stabbed her with it. Then her skin started to turn grey before she fell to the ground.

"VICKI!" Jeremy screamed out as he saw her die. I had a feeling that that was also going to be a problem. It was then that I decided to do something.

"Stefan, can you take him home? I have an idea for how to deal with this." I explained. It probably wasn't the best idea, but I had a feeling that it would work, and he would help me because it helped keep his secret as well.

I then texted Damon to come and get rid of the body. Fortunately, he did arrive pretty quickly. I couldn't help but wonder what he was doing.

"You two can go. I've got it from here." Damon remarked. I could see that Elena looked pissed.

"You did this." She told him. "You fucking killed her!"

"You confuse me for someone with remorse." Damon replied. She then tried to attack him, but I was able to hold her back. I didn't know how much longer I would be able to hold her though.

"You two need to leave. You both have open wounds and I'm getting hungry." He warned. I figured that it would probably be a good idea to listen to him. We went to the parking lot where we found Matt.

"Whoa, what happened?" He asked as he saw our wounds. Elena looked like she wanted to tell him, but I stopped her.

"Some fucker sprayed us fake blood." I lied.

"I can't find Vick." He replied. I kind of felt like crying, not because I liked Vicki, but because I felt bad for him. He didn't deserve this.

"We haven't seen her." I replied.

"Is this what I'm in for? A lifetime of worrying about her?" He asked.

Instead of answering, I just drove Elena's car home. Stefan had taken mine.

We then drove to the Gilbert house where we found Stefan was outside.

"How is he?" I asked.

"Not good." Stefan answered.

"I can't help but wonder if he's going to be able to get through this." Elena remarked as she cried a little.

"Elena, we'll do whatever we can to help." I offered. I didn't know what we could do, but if we could do something, I wanted to do it.

"Do you think that you could have Stefan make him forget?" Elena asked.

"I don't know if I'm strong enough for that." Stefan replied. He had barely been able to compel Vicki before and we didn't want him to remember "Since I don't drink human blood, there's no guarantee that it would stick. It might not work."

"Well, I have to do something." Elena argued. Did she not think that she would be able to talk to him about and be able to work through his issues with him?

"I'll do it." Damon offered. I wasn't even sure why he was there since he didn't like Elena. Maybe it was for me or something. "What do you want him to know?"

"Vicki left town. He's going to miss her, but he'll think it's for the best." Elena explained before he went upstairs. I hoped that he would do what she asked him to.

"You know part of me wishes that I could forget too." She stated as she leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Damon can do it if you want." I pointed out. I didn't know if Stefan would like that very much, but if she wanted to, I didn't think that he would be opposed to it. He did say that she could make her own choices.

"But I also want to know this." She continued. "I want to know the truth about you."

"It's done." Damon said after coming down. For the first time I had seen Damon do something selfless. Was it possible that I was starting to like him?

So Vicki died once again, but Faith is finally starting to develop a relationship with Damon. He's kind of becoming her brother. Please don't forget to review.
