"Goddammit." Trish sighed to herself as she sat backstage at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut for SmackDown. She was in the catering area, idly poking at her chosen meal while lost in thought and in memory, namely of the night she shared with George this past Sunday.

They had sex. They slept together.

And the morning after... God, things had been so awkward.

They hadn't spoken to each other or shared a text since. George was off, recuperating from his match with Benoit. He wasn't scheduled to be back until after Fully Loaded, which is nearly a month away. She doubted they could go that long without talking about... what happened.

But what did she say? What could she say? She felt conflicted. She hadn't meant to have sex with him, she had just... she didn't know what it was but she wanted it. It was consensual between them, so at least neither of them had to be scared about it being rape. But that was still no excuse. This was like one of those drama shows where two characters have drunk sex and things are awkward afterwards. Only, this wasn't a show, this was real life and there had not been any drinks involved.

"You look lost in thought." She heard, snapping her out of her thoughts and she looked to see Amy (Lita) standing there before she sat across from her. "What's wrong? You wanna talk about it?"

Trish thought about it for a moment and truthfully she wanted to be left alone. However she also knew that being alone wouldn't do her any good so maybe spending time with a friend would help ease her mind. She certainly had nothing to lose by trying. And she could trust Amy.

Trish sighed and buried her face into her hands. "It's my fault." She said softly.

Amy raised a brow before putting a hand on her shoulder. "What is? I'm not going to judge you; I just want to know if there's anything I can do to help after knowing what befell my friend."

At that Trish's eyes softened a bit. "I don't think you can."

"I won't know if you don't tell me." Amy pressed on, wanting to see how bad it was.

Silence filled the room as Lita waited for her friend's next words. The seconds turned into a minute and more as they passed by. In the blonde woman's mind she weighed the decision of mentioning what happened or not. This process continued for moments that seemed like minutes passing by. Finally, however she came to a conclusion.

"You promise you won't tell anyone else?" Trish asked her friend reluctantly.

Amy blinked. "Do you want me to make this one of those secrets I take to my grave kind of deal?"

"The kind where you can't tell anyone. Not Matt. Jeff. Not even Vince." Trish stressed with a serious look on her face.

Amy nodded, sensing the seriousness. "it'll be just between us, I promise."

Trish nodded, then looked down at the table, bracing herself as she thought the words she'd have to say, try to muster the courage to speak them. She swallowed and then looked at Amy before speaking the words.

"I slept with George."

Amy's mouth dropped open as she stared at Trish with wide eyes. "S-slept with? As in...?"

Trish nodded. "We had sex." She said quietly taking a look around to make sure nobody was close to eavesdrop. Thankfully, there wasn't. Trish then explained the events following the King of the Ring PPV when she and George were at the hotel, from him getting stuck outside his room, her inviting him in, and then the moment where something snapped between them and they had sex.

A dumbstruck look was on Amy's face when Trish finished explaining. "So... you and him..."

Trish nodded. "Yeah."

"What happened the morning after?" Amy asked.

Trish turned her gaze downward. "I think you can guess how that went when we woke up. God, things were so awkward, we didn't even know what to say. I just went straight for a shower and when I came back, he was gone. I didn't even see him when we checked out of the hotel. I had to go off to get to RAW, and he was on his way home to New York. We haven't even called or text each other since."

Amy was silent, her mind whirling with what she had been told. She could see how Trish was shaken up from this, thinking she had ruined a friendship. But Amy could see that George and Trish cared for each other, and just knew something had been developing between them. Matt and Jeff knew it, heck she wouldn't be surprised if the Undertaker himself made a remark about it. And while Amy had not been with the WWF long, same as Trish, they both knew that things like this could not be known amongst the locker room.

They didn't want another Triple H/Stephnaie/Chyna situation.

It was best sorted between Trish and George privately.

"Man, you've certainly gotten into a real awkward situation." Amy confessed.

"I know." Trish said with a sigh.

"So, what're you doing to do?" Amy wanted to know her plan to try and fix this mess if she even had one

Trish didn't have the answer to that and remained silent, glancing down at the table.

And that's it for this chapter. Let me know what you think in the reviews.
