Disclaimer: I do not own WWE. I only own the OC George Edwards/The Bladewolf.
"Well, you've certainly gotten yourself into a pickle, haven't you?"
George rolled his eyes at his older brother's teasing. "I didn't call you and tell you this so you can take the fucking piss. If you want to make jokes, I'll just hang up."
"Okay, okay, easy there. God, you're no fun." Jack said, rolling his eyes on the other end but then his tone got more serious, dropping the teasing. "So you slept with the girl that you like. Were you both drunk?"
"No."
"Ah, so it's not one of those drinking leads to drunk sex cliches. God, those are so damn common these days." Jack remarked dryly.
George sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Just... how do I handle this, Jack? I don't know what to do. We had sex, we haven't spoken since, and it's been nearly a week. I can't exactly see her since she's on the road while I'm off until after the next PPV."
"Yeah, that would make things more difficult." Jack nodded.
Indeed, it had been a week since the night George and Trish had sex in Trish's hotel room. A week since they last saw each other, and there has been no phone calls or texts exchanged between them since. George had seen her wrestle on last week's SmackDown, and she was scheduled to wrestle tonight on RAW. He had been keeping up with the show of course to see what was going on with the storylines, but namely to also watch Trish.
Conflicted with what had happened, as well as at a loss on what to do to salvage things between him and Trish, combined with his bubbling feelings for her, George had phoned his brother and told him about what happened. He trusted Jack to keep what happened to himself, as the last thing he needed was Daryl, or worse their sister, or even worse their parents, catching wind of this. He needed to get this solved and soon, though he doubted it would be as soon as he wished.
"I don't know why you've come asking me, George. I may have had a few girlfriends in my life, but I have never been in this situation. Sure, I've had a few one night stands but that had been just that. One night stands, and neither I nor the woman I was with decided to go any further with it." Jack said. "This is between you and her, so this is something that you need to handle yourself. But the only thing I can tell you is this; the longer you put this off, the harder it will get."
George sighed and rubbed his face. "Not exactly ease, remember?"
"Then make sure to arrange a meet-up when she's not scheduled for a show or something. If you leave it until over a month later when you get back, things may be damaged between you two for good." Jack said in a firm, serious voice. "Don't let that happen. I can tell you like her. And she seems the right woman for you. this is a bump in the road that is your life that you have to overcome. All roads are laced with bumps that one must get past in some form or fashion. God knows I've had my fair share. The point is; talk with her. Get it over with. Find where you both stand."
George exhaled and nodded. "Alright."
"Attaboy."
Getting into contact with Trish hadn't been easy, but he was lucky that there was a house show in Manhattan during the week, so he attended the event and watched her perform before leaving the building to phone her. She had picked up after the fifth ring, and George had been straight to the point and told her that they needed to talk. Trish agreed, and George told her that he'll meet her outside when she's ready and showered, since she'll want to freshen herself up after the match she had.
When she finally joined him outside, the two took a walk and that brings things to now as they slowly walked in Times Square.
"So... how have you been?" George asked, wanting to start off small and not go straight into things.
"Been good." Trish nodded. "Scheduled for two shows this week, and then I'm on RAW and SmackDown next week. What about you? You healing up okay?"
"Yeah, I'm better." George smiled a little. "Working out in the gym to keep myself from getting rusty and out of shape."
A silence soon stretched on between them, neither of them sure where to go with this. Both were trying to find the words to say, and muster the courage to even say them. Swallowing, George braced himself.
"I'm sorry." Both he and Trish said at the same time and blinked before chuckling at saying the same thing at the same time.
"You go first." Trish offered.
George hesitated but then nodded. "Trish, I'm... I'm sorry about what happened. I shouldn't have done that. I just... I don't know what came over me."
"I think you do." Here, Trish stopped and faced him, making him do the same. "I think we both know what caused that night to happen, we just keep denying it to ourselves. I have seen the way you look at me, George. And the kisses were share on-screen? They are starting to feel more real than acting. And admittedly, I'm doing the same. Let's face it; we like each other. We're attracted to each other. What happened between us wasn't simple desire, but it was based on our feelings towards the other."
"...Are you sure you're not a therapist?" George asked, lightly joking to lighten the atmosphere.
Trish smiled and rolled her eyes. "Just insightful." She sighed and looped her arm through his and led him on. "Avoiding the issue is not gonna solve things. And it's best this thing is solved before we're on-screen in the ring again. So i have a solution." She faced him and smiled. "There's a fancy restaurant nearby, I hear they make great food. It's a perfect place for a date."
George's eyes widened at that. "A...a date?"
"Yes, a date." Trish smirked then gave his cheek a peck. "Come on, don't be a baby. We might as well act on our feelings and see what comes of this."
With that, she walked on ahead and George, after getting his composure back and exhaling, walked after her until he was walking side-by0side with her, alllowing her to lopp her arm through his again and lean her head against his shoulder.
The date was on.
And the SHIP HAS OFFICIALLY SAILED! just to warn you, because I'm shit at trying out off-screen moments and whatnot, there might not be another for a long while. At least not until we get into 2001. Besides, I don't have to show JUST the off-screen moments to show the pairing. They are a couple on-screen as well, though it's more real since they are actually together.
And it doesn't help that most other WWE stories are all "Kayfabe is real", which makes taking notes for off-screen, out of character stuff to be much harder.
