RAW is WAR: 21/8/2000
RAW is WAR was live at CajunDome in Lafayette, Louisiana. As the show went on the air, the Rock came out to kick off the show. With SummerSlam less than a week away, the Great One told Kurt Angle and Triple H that he wanted to take his boot and put it in some very uncomfortable places for them! The Rock went on to say that he wasn't thinking about SummerSlam, he was thinking about revenge, right there and then!
Commissioner Mick Foley came out to address the revenge and hatred situation with The Rock and attempted to cool down the champion. Foley told Rock that he didn't want anything getting out of hand, so instead of letting tempers flare, Foley gave The Rock the night off! Before the Commish could continue, he was interrupted by Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon. Angle said that he knew why Foley was pitting him against Triple H recently - to test his integrity. But Angle said he proved his integrity by bashing The Rock with a steel chair on SmackDown! He said that he chose loyalty over selfishness and in the process, gained a friend - Triple H!
Then Triple H came out with his wife Stephanie and said that nothing made someone his friend faster than when they nailed The Rock with a chair!
Hunter said that now with his family problems behind him, he could get back to what was really important - beating The Rock! The Game challenged The Rock to a title match, but Foley reminded him that he had just given Rock the night off. But, the Commish said, Triple H and Angle could build their friendship in a match against the Acolytes! Foley also reminded Shane about his Hardcore match against Champion Steve Blackman. The Commish also reminded Stephanie that she was defending her Women's Title against Lita! Foley said he could tell by Stephanie's eyes that the match would be a brawl, so it needed a special referee - The Rock!
Tazz arrived in the arena and as he was walking to his locker room, several boxes fell on top of him! Then, The King came out from behind and attacked Tazz! Federation officials had to separate the two. Then The King went to the ring to join J.R at the announce table, where J.R. told him that Foley had insisted that Tazz leave the arena.
In a prelude to the TLC match at SummerSlam, the Hardy Boyz faced the Dudley Boyz. Viewers were treated to a special treat as Edge and Christian joined on guest commentary. After discussing how well J.R. knew Edge, the Tag Champs offered some observations, saying that the Dudleys ruled in "stinktitude" and that Edge and Christian were masters of the "con-chair-to".
In the ring, Jeff Hardy missed a Swanton Bomb on D-Von, but then Christian and Edge interfered, nailing Buh Buh with a chair and allowing Jeff to get the pin
In their locker room, Shane, Stephanie, Triple H and Kurt Angle talked about staying together. Then, each person went on to say that their match was more important than the others!
In mixed Tag action, Val Venis faced Crash, as Chyna and Eddie Guerrero watch from the back. The match was tough, and Venis won after a powerbomb to Crash. Eddie Guerrero went to Mick Foley, and a match was made at SummerSlam for the Intercontinental Championship. It would be Eddie Guerrero vs Chyna vs Val Venis.
Next up, Kane vs Rikishi.
In the arena, Rikishi's theme hits and he comes out, making his way to the ring as a video package shows the reason why the Bladewolf and Kane will face the Undertaker in a two-on-one Handicap match at SummerSlam.
By the type the video ends, Rikishi is already in the ring, his theme beginning to die down when the pyro explodes and Kane's theme plays as the Big Red Machine walks out, accompanied by the Bladewolf and Trish Stratus.
Kane practically storms towards the ring, slides in and goes at it with Rikishi as the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Kane and Rikishi slug it out with each other as Bladewolf and Trish stand at ringside to watch the match. Rikishi starts to gain the upper hand on Kane, getting the Big Red Machine on the ropes before he Irish whips him off the ropes and bends down for a back body drop but Kane brings himself to a halt, drops to a knee and uppercuts Rikishi, making him stumble. kane rebounds off the ropes and hits a big clothesline that makes the Samoan flip and land on his front.
Rikishi makes it to his feet and stumbles into the corner, but Kane is back on the attack as he unleashes an onslaught of right punches before going for an Irish whip but Rikishi reverses, sending Kane into the corner. Rikishi runs but is met with a boot to the face by Kane. Rikishi stumbles back and Kane runs at him but Rikishi scoops him up and... HITS A SAMOAN DROP!
Kane rolls out of the ring, but Rikishi goes after him, knocking him against the ring apron with a right hand, then another. Grabbing his arm, Rikishi goes for an irish whip but Kane reverses and drives his shoulder into Rikishi's, then grabs the back of his head, driving it into the steel steps with force.
Kane breathes heavily as he looks down at Rikishi, then looks towards the Bladewolf and gets a nod from his brother. Kane turned and picked up a steel chair from the timekeeper's area. He grabs Rikishi and tosses him into the ring before sliding in after him, sizes Rikishi up as he gets to his feet, then rears the chair back and... SWINGS IT DOWN ONTO RIKISHI'S SKULL! THE REFEREE CALLS FOR THE BELL!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Uncaring of getting himself disqualified, Kane gestures for Rikishi to get to his feet as the Bladewolf looks underneath the ring and pulls out a steel chair of his own. Bladewolf rolls into the ring with the chair as Rikishi gets to his feet and turns... INTO ANOTHER CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL BY KANE!
Rikishi slowly tries to get back to his feet, not fully down from getting two chair shots to the skull. As he slowly makes it to his feet, he turns around... INTO A HARD BCHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL BY THE BLADEWOLF!
Rikishi is down, he is busted open.
The crowd cheers when Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay rush down the ramp but are intercepted by Right to Censor members Bull Buchanan and Goodfather. Ignoring this, the Bladewolf grabs Rikishi and scoops him up onto his right shoulder, then gets him into position while Kane shifts the chair into position and then Bladewolf... DRILLS RIKISHI'S HEAD INTO THE CHAIR WITH A TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
Bladewolf gets to his feet before Too Cool rushes into the ring after dealing with RTC... BUT ARE MET WITH STEEL CHAIR SHOTS TO THE SKULL BY KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF!
Bladewolf tosses his chair down and puts his arm around Trish's waist as Kane raises his arms before throwing them down, causing fire to explode from the stage as his theme plays and the lights turn red. The trio then take their leave, leaving the scraps of Too Cool for RTC.
"Kane! Bladewolf! Commissioner Mick Foley caught up to the two brothers and Trish, who had been leaving the arena. "What is going on with you two lately? You attack your own brother on RAW and SmackDown last week, you bash Rikishi's head in, leave Too Cool to Right to Censor, and now you're facing your brother in a Handicap match at SummerSlam?"
"What's it to you?" Bladewolf said, glaring at Foley. "It's none of your business."
"As Commissioner, it is my business." Foley retorted, looking between them. "I'm disheartened to see you two would unite again like this, over the desire to destroy your own flesh and blood.. I understand your story, I know that betrayal is not uncommon between you three, it's some sort of twisted way of forging your bond, but this is not right! So, ilet's see if you two will really stick together to take out your big brother. Your match at SummerSlam? handicap? It's no longer a Handicap match."
Bladewolf frowned at that and got in the Commissioner's face. "You had best choose your next words very carefully, Mick. or there will be an open spot for Commissioner."
Foley glared right back at him. "At SummerSlam, your Handicap match is now a triple Threat match!" The crowd reacted positively at that while Bladewolf and Kane looked unhappy. "the Bladewolf vs Kane vs The Undertaker! But that's not all that's being changed to the match. Whoever pins the Undertaker will be given a shot at the WWF Championship. Let's see how that bond is when it comes to gold."
With that, Foley walked away as Bladewolf and Kane gave each other a look.
And that's it for this chapter, folks.
