The group was still coming down from the recent high upon hearing that Ren and Nora were finally together when Raider had them all settle down as she placed herself at the front. "Alright, the last thing we are here to do is react to comics." The students were disappointed that their break was beginning to come to a close, but they knew it couldn't last forever, they needed to see the rest of their counterpart's future. They were at least content that they would end with something much more light-hearted before returning to the theater room.
"Now, before we begin, I would like to address that whatever happens in these comics has not happened to all of you, every single one of these comics is fan-made," Raider then makes direct eye contact with a puzzled Winter. "Okay?" Winter gives a hesitant nod, looking suspicious as to why Raider needed to single her out. "The first one you'll be reacting to is more of a musical comic and, unfortunately, the name of the creator is in a language that I am not fluent in or know any of, so I apologize to you for that. One final thing, Ruby, Weiss, I am very sorry." There have been many people who have requested this. It was Weiss and Ruby's turn to look bewildered. They quickly got a horrible feeling for what they were about to watch.
Raider flies to the back of the group while Winter sends Weiss and Ruby a look. What were they about to see that had to do with specifically her younger sister and friend? "The name is Recording Session featuring WhiteRose," Raider announced. Ruby blinked in confusion as Weiss fidgeted nervously in her seat. The others got comfortable as Winter squinted at the screen. Raider internally rubbed her hands, this was going to be fun.
Pyrrha is holding out an iPod with earbuds wrapped around the device.
"Aww, the art style is cute," Pyrrha compliments. They were all in agreement that they loved the creator's art style.
"We're recording character songs tomorrow. Would you like to do a duet?" Pyrrha asked.
They assumed Pyrrha had to be talking to both Weiss and Ruby, hence the title and Ruby's outward appearance were much more different than her inward. She mentioned earlier about Weiss and her having a song. They might not have listened to theirs last time, but Ruby would gladly listen to this. Raider winced as a part of her didn't want to tell Ruby that she and Weiss didn't actually have their own song.
She decided to keep that to herself as Ruby just felt so happy that she was going to listen to a duet of her and Weiss. She didn't want to ruin the girl's joy.
Ruby and Weiss are listening to music currently and Ruby states that she is in while Weiss asks if there are any lyrics yet.
All of their friends gushed on the inside as Ruby and Weiss had a bud in one of their ears.
"Well, in fact, they are…but everyone wanted to keep them secret today," Pyrrha explained, genuinely not knowing why.
Ruby and Weiss were now both wary of what their friends had in store for them. Raider had apologized to both of them before this and they were scared to learn the implications of the apology. They hoped it wouldn't be anything too embarrassing for the other.
Both Ruby and Weiss looked at each other in confusion as the music began to play and their silhouettes were filled with a peach color. Flowers appeared next to them as the song 'Flower Garden of Glass' started.
Once again, they loved the comic artist and their work, it was all so beautiful and they were loving the music as well. Ruby and Weiss were worried as the title of the song seemed to have been more romantic.
A piece of paper of shaking in one of their hands as both Weiss and Ruby were blushing heavily while reading over the lyrics.
One of Winter's eyebrows raised as she looked over at her sister and her sister's friend. Both Weiss and Ruby were looking at the screen with mortification and embarrassment as they were seeing their other selves' reactions to what was on the pieces of paper. This is the first one Raider is showing us?! No wonder she apologized to us and was telling Winter that nothing they watch has happened! Weiss screamed to herself. Ruby was panicking because this was the first time she was actually meeting Weiss's family and this was going to be a part of the first impression she was giving her girlfriend's sister?!
"Aren't these lyrics too embarrassing to sing?! Moreover, aren't they too indecent? We're still students!" Ruby shouted.
Oh Gods, no, that's even worse! Ruby yells to herself as Yang tries to keep in her laughter. Ruby and Weiss sent Yang a death glare, but that just made her want to laugh even harder. In between giggles, Yang manages to get out, "T-this i-is going to be h-hilarious." Blake nudged Yang, but she was smiling as well.
Weiss demands to know who the hell wrote the lyrics?!
Yes, they would all very much like to know. Some intentions were more devious than others. "Let us hear the lyrics!" Nora yells.
"Yes, I would like to know as well," Winters says in a monotone voice. Ruby really wants a hole to come in and swallow her up.
Weiss accuses both Blake and Nora.
"Honestly, this is definitely something that Nora would do," Ren states. Nora doesn't defend herself as she knows she would. She would do it to any of her friends.
In a recording booth, Yang excitedly exclaims, "Come on, guys! We finally got the chance to publish our own Chara songs. Adult content may raise the sells!"
"Yang!" Both Weiss and Ruby scream, their faces burning bright red. Adult content?! Yang proceeded to burst out laughing. Weiss was going to ice her friend, no regrets. She was going to freeze Yang into a popsicle once this was all said and done. Ruby was going to happily join her. Winter's eyes narrowed as she looked forward, rereading that same line.
"I-I based the lyrics on chapter 3 of Ninja's of L–" Ren cut Blake off.
"You did what?!" Weiss felt betrayed as she looked over at her Faunus friend who was just as shocked.
"Maybe we should do this when we get back," Nora suggested.
"No!" Winter, Weiss, and Ruby quickly yelled. Nora held such a smirk on her face.
"Yes!" Sun and Yang countered.
"Ninja's of Love is an adult book!" Ren screamed.
They were all aware, it had been implied back in Volume 1 when Blake, not so sneakily, hid the book as it was revealed.
Weiss is a blushing mess as she reads over the lyrics more, stressing that her position as heiress is at stake.
Weiss intended to make sure that that wouldn't be the case once they returned. She will make sure of it and Winter and her friends are going to help her.
Pyrrha intervenes, thinking they should just record for now as they needed Monty's approval anyway.
All of them paused for a moment of silence. They appreciated his name being added to the comic.
Weiss asks why JNPR is there and shouts 'Yuri is the best!' in a different language.
"What did Nora say?" Jaune wonders. There wasn't a translation for that on the screen.
"Oh, she yelled that Yuri is the best," Raider replies simply. Weiss and Ruby's face burned hotter. Nora strongly agreed with her other self as she looked at Blake and Yang, and Weiss and Ruby. Also, they didn't know if Nora could really speak Japanese or if it was just for the comic.
Weiss has no clue what she just said and Ren explains that he is just Nora's escort to not mind him.
All of them nodded as that made perfect sense. Nora let out a noise of offense as they all agreed with no hesitation.
"Woah, those lyrics, I gotta memorize them," Jaune says to himself.
"Why do you want to memorize them?" Yang asks with a teasing lilt.
"Yeah, why?" Nora joins, the both of them grinning at the blushing boy.
"Anyway, it's not like I came here for Pyrrha," Jaune adds to himself to which Pyrrha replies with his name.
Pyrrha could feel her own face going hot. "You wanted to memorize the lyrics…for me?" Jaune didn't reply as he couldn't exactly speak for the Jaune in front of him, but that is surely what is being implied at the moment.
"Pyrrha just looks done with you," Ruby comments, judging by the small art of Pyrrha next to her speech bubble.
Weiss suggests that maybe Pyrrha and Jaune should sing instead.
"Yeah, have those two sing, that would be much better!" Ruby shouted a tad too eagerly.
Jaune waves his hands in the air, "This is your and Weiss's song, I wouldn't want to impose."
"We wouldn't mind that much," Weiss includes.
Jaune replies with a girl's screech and blood rushing out of his nose. Ren is surprised as Jaune tries to hold it back.
Everyone, besides Winter, let out noises of shock at the amount of blood that was shooting from his nose. "Jaune!" Pyrrha yells in concern.
Yang pushes Weiss and Ruby into the booth. "Now, come on! Stop resisting and go in!"
Ruby looks over at her sister. She will remember this betrayal. She will remember.
Ruby and Weiss's friends are behind the glass, each listening as Pyrrha is the one with the headphones on.
"Nora!" Ruby yells as her friend is holding up a scroll and recording them.
"Don't be so embarrassed, it's only a song! Besides, none of this has happened before!" Yang exclaims. Sure, but that didn't excuse that it was still embarrassing to watch nonetheless.
"I'll try to do your talent justice, Weiss," Ruby tells her. Weiss's face is flushed as she wants to try speaking to them again and that Ruby doesn't have to do this with her.
"Maybe we've been thinking about this the wrong way. How about we just try and have fun while watching," Ruby attempts. That was much easier said than done. It might have been more doable for Weiss if her own sister wasn't sitting right next to her and reacting with her!
Ruby reassured Weiss that it's fine. Weiss is confused. "I know how much you love to sing! Let's show everyone your talent," Ruby encouraged further.
Weiss smiled as that was just how Ruby was. Even if she was just as embarrassed as she was in the video, she's trying to get her to relax. Unbeknownst to Weiss, Winter noticed the smile and looked back at Weiss and Ruby a couple of times.
Weiss still isn't sure due to the song choice.
"We've heard your singing before, Weiss! It will be great!" Ruby said to her partner.
"R-Ruby? What are you…" Weiss is confused as Ruby tells her not to worry, she has an idea.
A few of their friends leaned as they were invested in what Ruby had planned.
Ruby shushes Weiss when she tries to speak and whispers that it's her turn to sing. Weiss whispers back her agreement but is still apprehensive. Weiss finally sings, "I want to lock your heart up so it can't go anywhere. I'm so…lonely~"
"We finally have singing and the build-up was worth it! Your singing is amazing Weiss!" Ruby says with a smile. Weiss returns the smile and Winter is silently working out the interaction in her head. In Weiss's letters, she had described her leader accordingly, but there was something about this that seemed different. Winter knew she would have it figured out by the end of the song, and until then, she would continue to observe quietly.
Weiss is startled when she finds Ruby much closer than before, but she keeps singing. "Please be with me…forever~"
Weiss sends a silent stare in Ruby's direction, demanding to know what she is doing. Ruby shrugs as she doesn't have a clue either. "Well aren't you two getting comfortable,' Yang teases.
Weiss and Ruby's faces are closer to each other. Ruby's right hand is holding onto Weiss's headphones while her left cups the back of Weiss's head.
"Ruby…" Weiss hisses, her cheeks burning. Ruby herself was in the same boat.
"Maze of dreams," Weiss sings and Ruby repeats.
"Butterflies of glass." Ruby is much more composed than her partner. Those behind the glass are shocked.
"Same," Blake mutters in a stunned voice. They weren't expecting this turn of events, but none of them were exactly complaining either.
"W-what on Earth are they doing?! My…my lyrics…" Blake shouts.
"That is a wonderful question!" Oscar yells, covering parts of his face with his hands.
"They're getting into the music, what does it look like!" Nora interjects. Ruby was definitely getting into the music, that was for sure.
"It's okay, Blake! They're about to sail!" Yang yells from behind her.
Yang happily laughs as they already did.
"My little Rubbish is growing up!"
Ruby takes a moment to pause, "Your little what?" She has never heard her sister refer to her as such. She was just as confused as the Ren in the comic. Yang doesn't know either, she's never called Ruby that and doesn't plan to.
Ruby holds Weiss close as the two of them sing together. "A secret romance, I want to feel you…"
"What," Winter says in the hardest voice. Ruby squeaked as she raised her hands and waved them, showing Weiss's sister that she had nothing to do with the lyrics.
"Still, I only look at you passionately!" Weiss is gripping Ruby tightly.
Wh-what the heck is Ruby thinking of?! Weiss thinks to herself.
Winter is sending death glares in Ruby's direction and Ruby is just wishing the ground would eat her up.
"I am in love (in love), with a girl (with a girl)..." Weiss sings as Ruby is her echo. Internally, Weiss wants to go home and die she feels so embarrassed.
Weiss can't say that she doesn't feel the same at the moment as her sister is burning holes into her girlfriend. Ruby is focusing on the screen and not doing or saying anything that could potentially get her killed. Raider is watching all of this unfold with rapt interest.
Ruby pulls Weiss in closer, stunning her further. "These feelings won't disappear. Why must it be so painful?"
"What the hell are they even doing?" Pyrrha mutters.
None of them would be able to give Pyrrha the answer she wants, but what they can say is that this is all Ruby's doing. Ruby is aware of that and she's beginning to become scared for life at the moment. She knows Raider won't let anything happen to her, but that feeling still remains.
"They're doing what they've been asked, they're singing!" Sun defends. A few would call that a lot more than just singing.
"Pyrrha, you can't stop them now!" Jaune appears behind her, his nose plugged. Pyrrha looks terrified as Yang, Nora, and Blake all collectively cheer the boy on that this shouldn't stop. "You mustn't stop them on their way to becoming official!"
"Is it a common thing that your friends wish for you and your partner to become a couple?" Winter asks her sister.
"Um, no?" It came out more as a question as she didn't know if her friends wanted Ruby and her to start dating (They did, just none of them ever voiced it). Winter quietly eyed her sister before turning her attention forward.
The group is shocked beyond belief at what they see before them.
"What is it?" Yang shouts, wanting to see.
Weiss is up against Ruby, breathing heavily as Ruby holds her.
"What on Remnant is going on in there?!" Nora yells. None of them were expecting this much to happen when the comic first started playing. They just thought this was going to be a simple duet between Ruby and Weiss.
Ruby asks for Weiss to turn a certain way and Weiss's back is now up against Ruby's chest.
Ruby and Weiss didn't want to see anymore. They believed they've seen enough and they just want this to be done already. Raider laughs to herself as it was just about to get even better. However, she figured in a few seconds she might have to protect Ruby from an enraged older sister.
"We're sleeping inside the flower garden~"
Weiss kisses Ruby's hand that is near her. "You're stroking my hair, with those hands I love so much." Ruby's hand slowly rises up Weiss's leg and everything goes dark.
Weiss felt like her soul just left her body as everyone's faces were now beet red. Winter's head slowly turns and looks over at Ruby who appears more mortified than ever. Raider moves in front of Ruby. "Remember, I explicitly told you that whatever you see has never happened, and I don't exactly want any bloodshedding on my watch." Winter now fully understands why Raider had told her this specifically, looking right at her. She knew these events would occur and was warning her.
"Woah! Was not anticipating that!" Yang yells. None of them were, which would explain the appropriate reactions of Weiss, who looked like she'd fainted and Ruby's skin was the same as a tomato.
Please, someone just come and kill me, Ruby groans. Raider isn't going to voice that if Ruby asks she shall receive. They'll find that out later though, depressingly.
Jaune holds Pyrrha's headphones in hand while Ren is covering her eyes. "Raahh?! What are you hiding from me?!"
"Something we know you wouldn't want to see," Pyrrha mumbles.
"Nothing! M-my hand slipped!" Ren excuses, "I thought Ruby was a minor?"
"I am a minor!" Ruby screams.
"Also, what kind of poor excuse is that?!" Yang shouted, looking back at Ren.
Yang holds Blake's head in her lap as she looks on the verge of passing out.
"Blake! No!" Yang shouted. Not her Blakey!
"Y..a..n…g…" Blake mutters.
"Mama's got you! Blake!"
"Mama?" Yang was just becoming more confused with the nicknames. Sure, that is something she figures she would call herself, but she doesn't recall a time that she has. Besides that, Yang has a girlfriend to revive!
"Yang, I'm dying of embarrassment," Blake chokes out.
"You and me both," Weiss and Ruby murmur.
"Could you feed the stray cats under our bed?" She finishes.
"We have stray cats under our bed?" Yang asks, looking at her parter. Blake shakes her head, that was something in that universe.
"You have stray cats living in your room?" Winter looks at Weiss who follows Blake.
Yang rewinds on that last statement, wanting to know what Blake meant by that. Ren bangs on the glass as Ruby apologizes and that there wasn't anything they could hear.
They hoped they didn't hear anything going on in there.
"Weiss, did you see their startled faces?" Ruby asks as Weiss darkly laughs to herself behind Ruby.
Ruby fears for the safety of her comic self. "Oh no, Ruby, I suggest you run," Jaune says as they are all now scared.
"Weiss, you did great! Thanks to you the prank was a full success! So–"
"That was a prank?!" All of them shout in astonishment.
Ruby is abruptly cut off by Weiss grabbing her by the collar and pulling Ruby into a kiss.
The group was all more than shocked at this turn of events. Both Weiss and Ruby let out their own scream, adding to it were the speech bubbles while they were kissing. Now the two of them experienced what Nora did but tenfold. Both of their faces felt like they were steaming.
"Maybe it was only a prank to you, but not for me! Prepare yourself tonight," Weiss tells her.
Everyone deems that they have seen enough and would like to move on to a different comic. They don't wish to know what follows after this. Ruby was not thinking that this was going to be one of her and Weiss's songs.
Ruby is left in a daze as she holds a hand over her mouth, her blush reaching to her ears. "Maze of dreams~ Maze of lilies~"
The end of the video rolls and the rest of them are left to deal with the aftermath of what they just witnessed. Not even a moment later Winter turns to Weiss. "Sister, are you and your team leader dating?" Ruby and Weiss's heads whip towards Winter as she asks the question so casually.
"I-uh…um, I-" Weiss stammers for a response as Winter waits. Weiss should have seen this coming, there was no hiding from her. Her sister was far too perceptive and observant and she couldn't possibly hide a thing from her. She knew it would have been sooner or later that her sister would find out, she just didn't think it would be this quick! Maybe at least until they have gotten back home.
Ruby looked at Weiss, it was her call. Weiss takes a deep breath before responding. "Yes, Ruby and I are dating." Winter is silent for a moment and the suspense is killing them.
"Very well, Ms. Rose has proven that she truly loves you, though more on the childish side, I don't see any reason that she would hurt you. She clearly makes you happy and you know that's all I want for you." Weiss doesn't know what to say except to just hug her sister tightly. Behind her, Ruby lets out a huge sigh of relief.
"But, I do not wish to see any more of these comics with my sister held under this nature." Winter refers to the single moment when her sister's back was to her partner's. Raider nodded in understanding, and no matter how entertaining it would be, she was going to be more aware of that.
"Alright, anyways, remaining on the topic of WhiteRose, this comic is called the WhiteRose Switcharoo, created by MedLowDown. I'm sure you're aware of where this is going." Both Ruby and Weiss sighed, wondering when the light was going to be taken off of them. "Don't worry, this is going to be much more tame!"
Winter didn't entirely trust her words but knew she would be going along with them anyway. Yang and Nora were clapping happily while Blake, Pyrrha, and Ren were curious as to how this comic was going to pan out.
"Winter!" Weiss shouts but from inside Ruby's body. Ruby, who is in Weiss's body, looks puzzled as her friend shouts.
Winter was not anticipating that she would be a part of the comic's plot, but she was now intrigued to see where it would go. Weiss groaned in dismay, why did her sister have to be a part of the comic while she was in that state?
Listens intently as Weiss exclaims that she can't wait to show her around. "It'll be so amazing! I have another sister now! It'll be so cool!"
'Another'? Who was the other sister? Blake? Yang? Also, Weiss was very accurately acting like Ruby and they just knew it was going to convince Winter that this wasn't her actual sister. Winter was aware that it was her actual sister, but she felt a small blush arise at the insulation of her sister's girlfriend calling her her sister.
Winter's attention is attentive, but also thinks Weiss's optimism is too bright.
"You would honestly be able to do an amazing Ruby impression," Yang says, looking over at Weiss.
Winter's face flushes as she holds a hand to her mouth. " Wait…she called me her… " The word 'sister' floated around repeatedly in her head.
Both Weiss and Ruby were beginning to slowly die inside while the rest of their friends were howling with laughter behind them. "Imagine if this was how your first interaction was!" Yang gasps out as she attempts to catch her breath. It was decided, this had to be the most embarrassing and awkward way to be introduced to your significant other's family. Ruby wanted this to end quickly.
Winter, angrily, smacks both Weiss and Ruby's heads, shouting, "Why wasn't I invited to your wedding?!"
"WEDDING?!" Weiss yelled while Ruby let out a loud shriek.
"Yeah, when is it?" Nora asked, wiggling her eyebrows. Weiss had the strong urge to throw something at the girl as her face felt like it was on fire. Ruby's blush reaches down her neck as she looks over at Weiss.
"We just started dating, we're nowhere near ready for that, and besides, there's still so much going on!" Who in their right mind would be thinking about marriage when a war is on the verge of breaking out?
Weiss and Ruby are sitting on the ground with bumps coming out of their heads as Winter is scolding both of them. Weiss had forgotten to inform her sister of the situation.
"You two are having the scolding of a lifetime," Sun comments, still laughing.
"Why wasn't I made aware that there was a wedding event that also involves you?!"
"Because there wasn't a wedding in the first place!" Weiss shouts.
"Well, when there is you better invite all of us!" Nora shouts.
"My sister! It is unthinkable! Why would you even conceive of doing something like this?! You're only seventeen and I just found out that you're married to your own leader?! How is this even possible!"
Weiss and Ruby wouldn't be able to tell anyone, let alone Winter. They knew this was only comic, but all the feelings they were getting didn't make it seem that way.
"Now I am very happy for you my sister and I will never judge you for whom you love."
Ruby felt like a small weight was lifted off her back after hearing that. Ruby knew she was just talking to Weiss and her choices, but Ruby wanted to believe that that meant Winter wasn't going to smite her.
"But still! You are only seventeen! You are not ready for marriage!"
Neither of them was for many factors such as the fight against Salem, they were only teenagers, and they hadn't been together long enough for that.
"Have you even done anything?"
They didn't want to know the implications of that question. They don't want to dive too deep into it. They were just going to hope she was referring to dates.
"How could you even think about doing something so stupid?!" Ruby mutters that she'll be sure to invite her to the wedding soon while Weiss is just utterly confused.
"Ruby!" Weiss shouts.
"I didn't do anything, I swear! It was comic me!"
After Winter and Qrow's fight.
Winter looks away from the screen for a second as that was not one of her finest moments. She shouldn't have let Qrow's words get to her, what she did wasn't appropriate.
"Weiss" hangs off on Qrow's arm, excitedly asking if he missed her.
Winter knew that that was Ruby, but the small stab of betrayal couldn't be easily stamped down.
"Ruby" is shocked calling her leader's name while Winter's world just shattered. "Weiss, how could you betray me?"
"Oh, Weiss, I didn't know you switched bodies with Ruby," Qrow says plainly.
None of them were exactly surprised as it must have been really obvious for Qrow to figure out.
"And to answer your question, nope."
"Aww, I miss him too." Ruby pouts as it has been a minute since she's seen her uncle. She hopes she'll be able to see him much sooner.
"Now, let's go on a piggyback ride and play 'Keep away from the Ice Queen!'" Qrow exclaims as he runs off with "Weiss".
They were sure that would have been an interesting sight to see if this had actually happened. Winter grunts at hearing that awful nickname. Yang snorts as Winter drags the real Weiss with her.
"Yeah! Go Uncle Qrow!" "Weiss" yells from his back as Winter runs after him while she carries "Ruby".
"Give me back my sister, Qrow!" Winter screams with rage as she follows after him.
"You better catch me and my niece-in-law first! Ice Queen!" While that happening, behind all of them, "Ruby" was barfing rainbows.
No one had a single clue how that was even possible biologically or physically possible. Winter glares at the screen as the end of the video rolls. Ruby could only feel her head spinning, all the terms relating to marriage, marrying Weiss… They were both thankful that it was finally over.
"Don't worry, you two will get some rest. In the meantime, why don't we turn one of our comics to focus on the Bees, shall we?" Raider said, looking over at the other two girls in question.
"Yes, that sounds like a wonderful idea!" Weiss immediately shouts.
"I don't think we need to do that," Yang says, trying to fruitlessly steer Raider's mind away.
"This next comic is called Power Outage, created by JumJamz." Ruby smirked as Yang was about to get a taste of her own medicine, and she couldn't wait!
In the living room, Yang hums a dreary toon while pointing a flashlight at the couch. A small girl with black hair and purple eyes paws at the light.
"Who's the girl? She looks like a mix between Blake and Yang," Jaune says. The eyes are Yang's while the black hair is Blake's.
"Can we also say that this is also really good art," Ruby praises, "And the child is so cute!"
"Yang, are you playing "laser pointer" with our daughter?" Blake asks from within in the darkness.
Yang felt like she was going to pass out. "D-daughter?"
"I have a niece?! She's so adorable!" Ruby screamed, her eyes showing stars in them. Blake's heart was beating so rapidly that she was worried it was going to burst out of her chest. She and Yang have a daughter in this universe?
"I call being the babysitter!" Ruby exclaims, raising her hand.
"What's her name?" Weiss demanded.
"Her name's Nova." The majority of them were in awe at the child.
"I…! No…! I didn't mean…" Yang stammers as she's been caught while Nova reaches for the light.
Blake side-eyes Yang, giving her a look as her girlfriend tries to come up with an excuse. "I don't think I meant anything bad, honest!" Blake keeps the straight face for a few more seconds before bursting into giggles. Yang looks scared and confused.
"Yang, you're fine." Upon hearing this, Yang lets out a sigh of relief.
"I'm just keeping her distracted until the power comes back on! Honest!" Yang explains as their daughter pats the light, her tail swirling behind her.
"And she has a tail?" Ruby was going to die of cuteness overload at this point! Now this got her wondering if any artists made her and Weiss a child. Now she wants to see one so bad!
"Pfft! You're fine, you're fine. Give it here. She can watch you jump around after the glowing circle."
"Heh, bet I could catch it too," Yang jokes as the both of them hold the flashlight.
Blake chuckles, "I bet you couldn't."
"Is that a challenge?" Yang shoots back, smirking.
"We'll see now won't we?"
"Are you two done flirting?" Weiss asks.
The light of the flashlight suddenly goes out and Nova taps it to try and get it to work. "Aw man, batteries…" Yang mumbles. Blake gets up, telling Yang she'll go get more when "Holy shit!" Yang shouts.
Blake sends the worst glare in Yang's direction. "Yang…"
"I'm sorry, I don't know why I swore! I promise I won't do it in front of our daughter, I swear!"
"Yang! Language!" Ruby scolded.
"I know! I don't need everyone attacking me!"
Blake reminds her of her language when she turns around, "Holy shit!"
"Blake!"
Blake holds out a fire extinguisher as Nova glows in Yang's lap.
"Her semblance!"
"My baby's semblance has been unlocked!"
"Why does Blake have a fire extinguisher on her?!"
"Wait! Blake, wait! Wait, babe, wait!" Yang hurriedly shouts, trying to get Blake to not press the clamp. "It isn't fire, it's light…"
"I guess you could say…"
"Yang, no…" Ruby starts.
"She's really is…"
"Don't you dare ruin this, Yang," Weiss warns as Yang keeps going.
"The light of our lives." Everyone was looking at Yang, very unimpressed.
"Oh…her semblance kicked in," Yang says with such warmth. "Who knew we'd have a glow-in-the-dark baby?"
"That was so sweet," Pyrrha cooed. That comic was so adorable and the end of it melted all of their hearts. All of them collectively loved it and hoped the rest of the comics would be that wholesome, or at the very least, funny.
Blake's ear twitched when she heard a light sniffle. She looked over and Yang had tears brimming her eyes with a loving smile. "Yang…" Yang rubbed at her eyes.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Blake leaned over and kissed Yang on the cheek. Blake hooked her arm around Yang's and pressed herself closer, placing her head on her shoulder.
"You're cute, you know that?" Yang responds with her eyes widening and her flush deepening. Yang stammers for a reply when Nora and Sun shout.
"Ha! Gaaaaaay!" Blake and Yang frown, looking back at them.
Raider chuckled, "This next comic is called Drunk RWBY by TUANONNA15."
"I'm sorry, what RWBY?" Weiss parrots, wanting to know if she heard right.
"Drunk RWBY, just as she said," Sun said while snickering.
"I wasn't that drunk last night," Weiss declares, her arms crossed.
Weiss looks really good in that shirt, Ruby thought to herself before shaking her head. Now isn't the time for that.
"You were flirting with Ruby!" Yang exclaimed.
"That doesn't sound too bad, what's wrong with that?" Ruby asked curiously. A few laughed as they had an idea of where this was going. They were just waiting for it.
"So? She's my girlfriend," Weiss defends. Weiss sits in front of Ruby, shooting a finger gun with a drink in hand.
"You asked her if she was single and cried when she said she wasn't." Weiss begins to tear up as Ruby chuckles.
"Aww, Weiss~ You have nothing to worry about, I'm all yours," Ruby says while leaning against her girlfriend. Weiss felt like all she'd been doing since Raider played these comics was blush hysterically.
"That sounds about right, though." Weiss whipped her head to Yang who smiled smugly.
"Come on Ren…I wasn't that drunk last night," Jaune says as he rubs the back of his head sheepishly.
"None of you are of age to drink," Winter said sternly, looking at all of them.
"On a different note, not Jaune too!" Nora shouted.
"You grabbed Yang's arm, smashed it with Nora's hammer, and threw it into the filled sink screaming 'I choose you, Pikachu!'"
Jaune froze as he was very aware of Yang's still form, but down next to Blake, her eye twitched. "Jaune…"
Jaune squeaked, "Yes….?" His voice was wobbly as Yang slowly turned around with a deadly smile.
"Never touch my arm, got it?"
"Yes ma'am!" The scared boy replied instantly.
Jaune stood horrified. "I suggest you run before Yang finds out," Ren says as Jaune begins to run.
"Too late," Yang grits out.
"JAUNE!" Yang screams.
"Yang, for the last time, I wasn't that drunk last night," Blake states as Yang doesn't seem convinced.
Blake had the strong urge to facepalm.
"Blakey, you walked into the supermarket and when the intercom turned on," Yang explains as Blake stops and looks up in the middle of the store.
"Why do I have the strongest feeling that this is about to be something fish-related," Yang teased. Blake grunted but didn't look at Yang.
" Don't forget about our deal on tuna today ."
Yep, this was just as they suspected. Blake groaned into her hands as she was never going to escape this. Yang rubbed her back comfortingly.
" Buy two for the price of one, now that's a good oppor-tuna-ty ."
"Oh my Gods, not more puns," Ruby groaned. Yang liked this guy, this was her kind of humor.
"You dropped to your knees and screamed, 'God has spoken!'" Halo music played as she looked up.
The group was silent but every single one of them was trying to keep in her laughter as Blake just looked disappointed at her comic self.
"Come on, Blake, how drunk could I have been?" Yang waves offhandedly.
"Yang, out of all of us here, you'd be drunk the most," Ruby sighed. Yang gasped in offense, holding a hand to her chest. "Don't act so surprised!"
"I'm just offended that you decided to call me out!" Yang retorts.
"You asked your mom if she was a virgin," Blake replied as Yang talked to her really confused mom.
"I'm sorry, I did what?" Yang laughs, but it is one of utter disbelief.
"How funny would it have been if she said 'yes'?" Sun asked.
"Then started singing 'Everytime We Touch' to her." While Yang sings, Raven tells her not to touch her.
Yang is speechless while all her friends are laughing. Oh Gods, why me? Yang asked herself, looking down at the grass and contemplating her choices.
Yang asks if Blake is fucking serious. Blake tells her that she is and Yang facepalms herself, muttering "Fuck my life."
Yang nods, agreeing with her comic counterpart as she would want someone to kill her if she actually did that in real life. Scratch that, she'd probably drink again just in her attempts to forget it. "Don't beat yourself up, Yang, that was embarrassing for all of us," Jaune tells her.
"I think mine and Weiss's had to be the most embarrassing. Both of ours were in public with other people around," Blake sighs. Ruby was about to tell her team and friend that she didn't know what that was like but held her tongue. The group hears Raider aggressively scrolling through her tablet and is confused. They suspect she's trying to find another comic but she mutters something about 'diversity'.
"You okay, Raider?" Ruby asks.
The entity sighs, "Yeah, just struggling a bit, don't mind me." She gains an expression of triumph when she finds one. "This next comic is Baby Ruby's First Hood by Evebun." Yang and Weiss gasp.
"We get to see Ruby as a baby?" Weiss was now rushing for Raider to play the comic.
Baby Ruby hummed to herself as she began to tie a hood around her neck.
All of them just about lost it with how adorable Ruby was. She was so little and with the pacifier? Even better.
"Aww, I miss my baby sister," Yang cooed, wishing she could bring her sister into a hug.
"You look so precious!" Weiss squealed, holding her hands over her mouth.
Ruby smiled to herself when she was satisfied.
Winter's eyes squinted, wondering where she found such a large piece of cloth.
Ruby was then brought into the air as Qrow proceeded to stand up.
The whole felt their hearts drop. "Qrow! NO!" All of them screamed.
"Ruby!" Yang could feel her instincts starting to kick in, wishing she could rush into the screen to save her sister.
Yang was cheerfully showing Tai the ball in her hand while Ruby was suffocating at the bottom of Qrow's cape.
"Someone please tell me they notice Ruby!" Pyrrha yells in panic. They couldn't even focus on the small Yang as they were so worried for Ruby.
"Hey, Qrow-" Tai pauses as he sees his hanging daughter. Qrow is then smashed to the ground as Tai holds Ruby. "MY BABY!" Ruby cries as Yang just looks down at Qrow.
"What kind of comic was that?!" Yang screamed.
"That was terrible!"
The art was amazing, but we didn't want to see a baby Ruby getting choked by a cloak!"
You're gonna see a lot worse things than that comic baby. "Well, I hope this next one will be funnier, but before I play I will need to give a bit of context to it first." This got all of them worried. "So, there was this fan theory of Qrow being Ruby's actual father instead of Tai and this comic takes place in that universe." Silence filled the air as that was not what they were expecting the disclaimer to be.
"So, in that world, Qrow is Ruby's dad and that would mean that Ruby is my cousin?" Raider nods. Yang hums to herself as that was an interesting universe. The only thing going through Winter's thoughts is that someone was actually married to Qrow?
"This comic is called Pregnant Summer Wants Her Cookies by Ellelehman."
"Oh, yes! Yes, yes, yes!" Summer exclaimed happily.
Ruby and Yang's hearts panged as they missed their mom so much. It hurt even more that the only way they were able to see her was through a screen and pictures. They dearly wished she was still there with them.
Summer swiftly had tears falling down her cheeks, "But, I should be resting. It's getting close to term."
If they hadn't been told the title and they immediately jumped into the comic they all would have been so confused, but they also knew they would have quickly known that it was all pregnancy hormones.
Summer groans, now tired. "I'm just so drained! I'm not sure…I know I should, buuuut…"
What was she not so sure about? They were missing the story here.
"You know what?! Go! Just go and leave me!" Summer screamed in anger.
All the students jumped at the sudden shouting. "Um, are the moods always this…" Sun trails off, not wanting to say the wrong thing and looking at Winter. The woman nods as she's witnessed them from both Weiss and Whitley's.
Qrow is terrified as his arm is close to his chest. "S-so…no to grocery shopping with me. G-got it."
That was just from asking to go to the grocery store? Ruby thinks, frightened.
Summer grabs Qrow by his collar and pulls him to her level, face to face. "S-Summer, please it's only–"
"You say 'two more months' one more time and I'll throw you through the ceiling."
They had no clue that someone could be so scary. Yang remembers Mom being agitated here and there, but she must have just kept the brunt of it away from her. Definitely a good thing.
Qrow quietly complies when Summer yells for him to shut up. Qrow whimpers, offering cookies. " NOW, " Summer demands.
Summer must have been where Ruby had gotten her love of cookies from. "Yang, Ruby, you're mom is terrifying," Nora says.
Qrow is shaking in a chair, knees hugged to his chest as Tai stands over him, not understanding what the big deal is.
There were only a few times that they had seen Qrow look that scared, but it was only in the show they were watching.
"Don't you think you're overreacting? It's just Sum, I can't think her mood is that bad," Tai says.
"Dad, you clearly haven't seen her when Qrow just asked her if she wanted to go grocery shopping. She looked at him as if she wanted to beat the crap out of him," Ruby says. Winter couldn't her quiet laugh at the sight of Qrow looking so shaken.
"That is not Short-Stack! You have no idea what I've been through, what I've done!"
"He makes it sound like he had to hide a body," Nora comments.
Qrow quickly for Tai not to judge him.
Winter smirks, she gladly will.
Tai thinks to himself and wonders if Qrow killed someone.
"That's what I'm sayin'!"
Tai sighs, wondering if he should even ask. Qrow doesn't care and vents. "Okay, so she has been fine up until last month. Her mood swings give me whiplash, she's super aggressive, and God forbid we don't have her snacks or food!"
From an outside perspective, that didn't sound all that bad, but they shouldn't just automatically assume the situation. That clearly wouldn't be the best idea, given Summer's reactions. "Didn't Tai go through something like with Raven?" Sun says.
"It's a different experience for everyone, not everyone is going to act entirely the same way," Winter addresses and Sun nods.
Tai doesn't think that sounds too bad. "That's only half of it! Let's just say that my hips are still on fire! Fire!"
"Nope, none of us need to know those details," Weiss says while putting up a hand and signaling for Qrow to stop.
"You're complaining about that? Mr. Lady's Man?"
"TAI!" Qrow puts a finger directly in Tai's face, looking very serious. "Men aren't built that way, Tai!"
"Qrow–"
"There's no sleep, just friction!"
All the students cover their ears as they don't want to hear any more about their… that life. Winter grimaces, not wanting to know the rest of those details.
"Ew, stop it!"
Exactly, that was enough of that topic.
"Then don't let her find me, I need to–" Tai tells Qrow to get his finger out of his face. Qrow rapidly says no and not a moment later, Summer kicks open the door.
All of them, except Winter, now feared for that man's life. "Please, go easy on him," Ruby mutters.
"Taiyang. Qrow. Where?" Summer demands.
"If he doesn't think it's 'that bad', then how about he experiences it for himself?" Weiss says.
"The both of them are dead men," Yang mumbles.
"H-Hey Sum. He's behind the chair. You look love–"
"STUFF IT." Tai immediately does. "QROW. NOW." Qrow, who is hiding behind the chair says he's coming.
"He's screwed," Jaune mumbles.
Raider chuckles to herself, about to be quite literally.
Tai's thoughts are that he wishes him luck and Qrow calls Tai a traitor.
"That was certainly something," Jaune says, still frightened. All of them nodded in agreement. The students turned their heads at the sound of Winter's chuckling.
"You just love Qrow's own misery, don't you?" Weiss sighs.
"I wouldn't phrase it like that, but in other words, yes."
"Alright, there are a lot more comics that I would have liked to play, but we are kind of on a bit of a schedule so you'll be watching one more video. This video contains many smaller comics and we're gonna end this off with some lovely WhiteRose." Raider smiles, looking over at a blushing Weiss and Ruby.
"You were murmuring something about diversity earlier, what was that about?" Ren asks.
"That was because I didn't want to choose comics solely based on pairings so I tried to be different with all of them. But, since a lot of them that I'm seeing here are ships it is a little difficult to do that."
"Shame we couldn't have watched more, but we understand," Oscar said.
Yang rubbed her hands with a devilish grin, "So, what comics will be watching?"
"This video doesn't have that specific of a title just RWBY White Rose Comics #2 and has two different artists. The first four small comics are made by an artist named BibiVanna and the last by KizzyCannon." The group nods and prepares them for the final comic video.
A Cold Person
Weiss shivers, complaining about the cold as a shock Ruby, wearing a cloak, is behind her.
"Where did she get the cloak from?" Jaune asked.
"And where can I get it because it looks so fluffy!" Ruby exclaims, now wishing that she had it.
"There you go!" Ruby takes her cloak and gives it to Weiss. When Weiss states that her hands are cold, Ruby holds them in her hands.
It takes Yang's brain a second, but she smirks when she's figured it out. She thinks she has an idea of where this is going to go.
"I don't think there will ever be a time where we say this enough, but you two are so cute," Pyrrha says. Weiss and Ruby look at each other for a second and flush. Ruby puts out her hand and Weiss takes it.
"And, um…my lips are cold too," Weiss says, not looking at Ruby.
Yang clapped her hands, "I knew it!"
"Smooth Weiss, very smooth," Nora teased.
Weiss's face was similar to a thermos. She thinks she should be getting used to them by now, but she was wondering when that time would come. "Aww, Weiss~" Ruby cooed before pecking Weiss on the lips. "If you wanted a kiss could have just said so."
Ruby is speechless, her face a burning red as Weiss says her name. "I think you broke her," Blake tells the girl while Yang screams the word 'Gay'.
Blake nods along with her comic counterpart while Yang does the same thing as hers. Weiss frowns as she looks over at the blonde. Yang holds no shame, shrugging with a smug smile.
Switch Bodies
The majority of them were intrigued as they were given another scenario of their bodies being switched. Weiss and Ruby hoped that this one didn't drop the 'W' word on them.
"Ruby" looks at her hands, panicked. "How are we supposed to switch back!"
"You think I can make a terrible impression of you?" Ruby asks excitedly.
"You Dolt." Weiss shakes her head, but fondly. Of course, that would be the first thing that Ruby would jump to.
Yeah, I think you're impression would be a bit bad," Pyrrha chuckles.
"No, no, I actually think Ruby could nail it," Yang argues. Ruby is her partner and has to know her habits and way of talking so that she could pull it off.
"What? Ruby, we don't have ti–" "Ruby" is cut off as "Weiss" does her impression.
"Oh, look at me, my name is Weiss. I know facts, I'm rich."
"Nice callback to Volume 2," Jaune compliments.
"Ruby" is agitated as she says it's on.
"Weiss has joined the fray, let's see it!" Yang shouts.
"My name is Ruby, the adorable little huntress."
"Wait," Ruby interrupts, looking at Weiss, smiling, "You think I'm adorable?" Weiss feels put on the spot as she tries to come up with an answer, but her brain has stopped working thanks to Ruby who looked at her with such happiness in her eyes. It was far too much for the poor heiress.
"I think you can take that as a yes," Blake says.
"Who likes to eat a whole jar of cookies." Behind her "Weiss" wants to take a moment of pause.
"You think I'm adorable?" "Ruby" asks with a blush and "Weiss" freezes when she realizes her slip-up.
Seeing that same smile, Weiss's brain was going to short-circuit. Why did her girlfriend have to be too cute for her own good?
"Aww, my sweet little snowflake, you adorable too," "Weiss" shouts, hugging "Ruby" as she yells for her to cut it out.
Ruby squeezes Weiss in a hug, "No way!" Ruby then gasps, "That should be my nickname for you!"
"W-what?" Weiss was confused.
"My sweet snowflake!" Weiss's face was burning and her friends were not helping her in the slightest. She even looked at her sister for help, but she was just smiling and standing by like the others.
Winter, you traitor! Weiss will not forget this.
Flashlight
The room is dark and Ruby is having a difficult time seeing. "I can't see anything, I should have brought a flashlight." Weiss solves the problem easily by grabbing Ruby by the chin and kissing her.
"How is that meant to help the two of you in this situation?" Ren asks. Ruby shrugs, she didn't know. But, she knew Weiss had a plan and she trusted her.
Ruby's silver eyes brighten and the room becomes much lighter. "You're welcome," Weiss says with a smile.
"Damn, that'll work," Sun laughed. Ruby's blush deepened as she agreed with Sun.
My Dolt
"You know what's funny? It's how that was originally an insult you'd call Ruby, but now it's a term of endearment for the both of you," Yang said. Ruby smiles proudly, now wearing the title as if it were a badge of honor. She wasn't just any dolt, she was Weiss's dolt.
Weiss sighed, "Ruby does ridiculous things sometimes." Blake lets out a hum as she sips her tea. Weiss explains to Blake, recounting a small argument about cookies. "She hides cookies under our pillows."
"Wait, what?"
"Ruby!"
"That could attract ants!"
"Well, the ants need to be fed too!" Ruby retorted.
"Yeah, and they can do that themselves, outside of our room," Weiss counters.
"And when I tell her they'll attract ants in our bed, she just says sharing is caring and ants need food too."
Weiss internally sighed, yep, that was her dolt.
"That's definitely something Ruby would say," Blake comments.
Ruby is using her semblance, running with such speed that Weiss is being dragged in the air. "She always grabs a hold of my hand and uses her semblance to make it just on time to the movies we are late for because she wants to hug for 5 minutes."
Ruby pouts, what was wrong with wanting to love on her girlfriend? Ruby didn't see any problem with that. "Ruby," Weiss said gently. She knew the girl was missing the point, but kissed her on the head.
"She always wraps her cloak around me when it's just drizzling outside or if I shiver slightly indoors." In the rain, Ruby smiles as Weiss is huddled close, and in bed, Ruby keeps a struggling Weiss close. "She always tries to wake early to tell me to 'Have a nice day Weiss' before I go to work, but ends up making me late instead."
All of them were confused, these were all considered issues? They didn't think any of this stuff was that bad. Besides the work thing, that would need to be fixed a little because all those times coming in late would soon add up. Ruby was beginning to frown. Weiss didn't like any of this? Her thoughts sounded so hurt, she was just showing her love for Weiss. Did she not like it?
"By not letting go of me when I try to get out of bed."
"So, you're saying you don't like any of those things?" Blake asks, trying to clarify, but is confused on the issue.
That's what they're all wondering, specifically Ruby because she's taking notes on what she needs to not do to upset Weiss.
"What? Why would you ever think that I don't like it?" Weiss asks.
"Because you just made it sound like you were going on a whole tirade of annoyances!" Yang exclaims. Ruby perked up, so Weiss did like all of those? Ruby was practically beaming now.
"That's just who Ruby is, why would I not love them?" Weiss asked genuinely.
"Those reasons and so many more are why I love her so much," Weiss says, recounting everything.
Nora released a sigh of relief, "You really had us all going there."
"The little things she says and does make me fall more and more in love with her. Her smile, her laugh, her energy, her determination."
Winter doesn't show it outwardly but has never felt so happy to hear her sister sound so in love. Winter looks over at the two and a smile forms as Ruby is gushing over Weiss's words and showering with affection. Weiss truly loves this girl and Winter couldn't be more content. Winter doesn't need to hear any words, just how Weiss looks at Ruby alone tells her all she needs to know. That was how she became more concrete in her suspicion earlier.
"Everything I've said makes me feel like the happiest woman in Remnant," Weiss continues with a far-off look.
"I see…I'm glad you really love her," Blake says.
The feeling is mutual for Ruby, she feels like she's the happiest girl for getting to stand by Weiss's side as her partner.
Weiss smiles with a blush, "The love of my life, she's my dolt."
Everyone felt like their own heart was going to explode with how cute that was. Ruby looked like she was about to visibly explode in her seat with happiness. "Ruby really did melt the Ice Queen's heart," Yang said, but then backtracked, "Sorry, Ice Princess ."
Both Weiss and Winter sent Yang a glare as she smirked. "Yang, don't ruin this," Weiss said sternly. Yang couldn't take Weiss seriously though because at the same time, Ruby was giving Weiss kisses on the cheek.
ILYSM Text
Ruby looked over Weiss's shoulder as she got a message from Blake.
Ruby gasped, "Weiss! You're so beautiful!" Was that her outfit in the upcoming volumes? She looks absolutely stunning!
"I'm loving the hair," Nora complimented.
Ruby then gasped in dismay. "What's wrong?" Weiss asked worried.
"Now it will be so much harder to focus when you look like an angel every time you're on screen," Ruby whined.
"Why is Blake saying 'I love you so much' to you?" Ruby asks confused. Weiss sighs when saying that's not what it means, at least when Blake says it.
The others are confused. Then what did it mean?
Weiss explains that Blake's version means 'I love Yang so much'. She likes to gush about Yang to her lately for some reason.
Blake and Yang blushed heavily as all of them now understood. "That makes so much more sense," Jaune states.
"Ohhh, that makes sense," Ruby concurs.
"Heh, looks like this time it's because Yang took her to a fancy sushi restaurant." Next to Weiss, Ruby is on her own scroll smile. Weiss gets another message and it's from Ruby.
It reads 'ILWSM' with exclamation marks and hearts. "You dolt…" Weiss blushes as she says it to Ruby.
"You two are so sweet you're gonna give all of us cavities," Sun says. Weiss looked at Ruby with so much love. Then she'll gladly let their teeth rot.
"So, that was the last of the comics, what did you think?" Raider asked the group.
"I thought they were lovely."
"They were so cute!"
"We appreciated the humor, but we could have done without the hanging Ruby." They all felt they were freshly rejuvenated and wanted to believe they were mentally prepared for the next coming volumes, but only Raider that was the farthest from the case.
"Shall we all head back?" The students and Winter nodded. Jaune spared a look at Pyrrha as Raider raised her fingers to snap them back in the theater. He was going to ask her. Once they got back, he was going to ask and nothing was going to sidetrack him.
