Lydia hid behind her father crying she couldn't watch her mother being lowered into the ground tears poured down her face she covered her mouth with her hand she tried to hold in a sob it failed she didn't want strangers whispering or their comfort she felt a hand on her shoulder she didn't look up she knew who it was. Delia, her new life coach who was obsessed with crystals and and chakras and stuff like that and would always ask Lydia at 6:00AM after Lydia had pulled an all nighter if she 'remembered to thank her crystal this fine beautiful morning that was perfect for taking deep relaxing breaths and mediate' to which Lydia fought to throw her coffee at! Lydia whimpered. Delia pulled her into a hug. Lydia would normally back away out of said hug but she was too upset to do anything she surprised herself by hugging Delia back. Lydia sobbed into Delia's black designer dress while the life coach pet her her dark hair "I'm sorry Lydia, truly I am." Delia whispered in her ear. Lydia sobbed Delia leaned to her ear "everything will be okay sweetie." Lydia shook her head no. She buried her face in Delia's dress.
"Lydia, wake up!" Delia shook her stepdaughter who was crying in her sleep Lydia's eyes shot open and she looked around her room quickly her eyes landed on Delia tears filled her eyes she hugged her which surprised Delia she looked at the clock it was 4:00AM Lydia released Delia from the hug and wiped her eyes "I'm sorry.." Delia smiled at her step daughter "it's alright Lydia. How about we go downstairs for some early breakfast and coffee?" Lydia nodded and let Delia lead her downstairs. Where they had pancakes and coffee and had a girls day.
