I decided to make a Castle in the Sky fanfic crossed over with Ni No Kuni.

I could blend the titles together but I got another idea.

Besides, I'm actually crossing it over with another Studio Ghibli work. How does Kiki's Delivery Service sound?

Chapter 1: Start of Adventure

After saving Laputa, Pazu and Sheeta had been living together.

They shared the same room.

"I wonder if we should pay Dola a visit. I don't know where she is." noted Sheeta. Though she could imagine it.

"Good idea." nodded Pazu.

"How's your day going?" asked the girl with pigtails. Luckily, they grew back. Though she did brush her pigtails sometimes, remembering that they had been shot off once by a truly evil man.

Well, she would recover from her traumas.

And Pazu would help her.

"Pretty good. How's yours?" asked Pazu.

"Pretty good. Though someone did call me a goody two-shoes." remarked Sheeta.

"Someone did? That's a bit rude." noted the boy.

"I can live with it. Though should I prove him wrong?" questioned the pigtailed girl.

"Maybe. But don't go overboard." spoke Pazu.

"Alright." noted Sheeta.

She got an idea.

She decided she would swipe a cookie from the cookie jar.

"Here I go." noted Sheeta.

She picked up a cookie and put it in her mouth.

It tasted good.

But she still felt guilty.

"This guilt is haunting me." noted Sheeta.

She decided that she couldn't take it anymore.

But she had another idea.

She wrote a note and put it on the cookie jar.

"I owe you one cookie. I'm truly sorry! From Sheeta." read the note.

"You truly are incorruptible, you know that?" asked Pazu.

"Much like yourself, only you've never swiped a cookie." spoke Sheeta.

Pazu laughed.

"Yeah. I did fall asleep during work one day." noted the miner. Thankfully, he did not lose his job.

"Was it a long day?" asked Sheeta.

"Yep." nodded Pazu. He was feeling exhausted.

"By the way, I remembered another spell we could use if we want. I'm not sure about exploring the unknown though. It could be risky." noted Sheeta.

"I did go to Laputa with you, didn't I?" asked Pazu.

"Yes, you did. I appreciate that." nodded the pigtailed girl.

"So what's the spell called?" questioned the boy.

"Portalo." answered Sheeta.

Suddenly, the two were transported.

They found themselves in what appeared to be a town.

But it looked different from the one they lived in.

"Whoops! I said that out loud." noted Sheeta.

"Is there a way to go back?" asked Pazu.

"Yeah. You say it backwards." spoke the pigtailed girl.

"I see. But I'm curious as to what this world is like." noted the boy with the hat.

"Me too, to be honest." nodded Sheeta.

One might be surprised as to how much they agreed on. Who said boys and girls were a different species?

Sheeta decided to check out the store.

"Hmm...do you know where I could get money?" asked Sheeta. She had some money but she wasn't sure if this would work in this world.

She was still learning about it.

"If you help me around the store, I could give you some." nodded Leila.

Sheeta nodded and washed some dishes...and petted the cat.

"A deal's a deal. Though petting the cat wasn't part of the deal, was it?" asked the woman.

"I know. I just did it, anyways." noted Sheeta.

"You're very charismatic." remarked Leila.

"I try." nodded the girl with the pigtails.

She got some food for Pazu and herself to eat.

"I like this food. Maybe we could come here again." noted Pazu.

"Maybe, but we should try to go back. There are people who will worry about us if we don't." pointed out Sheeta.

"Yeah. How long should we stay?" questioned the boy.

"Maybe just a little longer." noted the girl with the pigtails.

"Okay." nodded Pazu.

They noticed a young boy visiting his friend Phillip.

"Hey, Oliver! I'm designing a car! Want to take a ride on it tonight?" asked Phillip.

"Sure!" nodded Oliver.

"That's a bit concerning." noted Pazu. Was that car going to be safe?

It should at least include a seatbelt.

If it wasn't safe, those kids could be in trouble.

"We should make sure that the car is safe." spoke Sheeta.

Pazu nodded.

"Would you two like some help?" asked Pazu.

"It would help the project move forward, so yes!" exclaimed Phillip.

"Good!" nodded Sheeta.

Pazu and Sheeta got to work helping design it.

"Where are we going to get the supplies for it?" asked Oliver.

"Way ahead of ya!" exclaimed Phillip.

Phillip had the supplies delivered.

"Hey!" shouted Kiki.

Yes, this was the same Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service.

The author decided she could be in this fanfic too.

"You look like my pal Tohma." remarked Kiki.

"Who's Tohma?" asked Phillip.

"If you saw a picture of him, you would understand." explained the witch.

"I'll take your word for it." said Oliver's BFF.

"Thanks." said Pazu.

"I like the way you dress." spoke Sheeta.

"Right back at ya!" exclaimed Kiki.

Those two were kindred spirits, it seems.

Unbeknownst to Oliver, he was being watched.

Watched by someone evil.

"So this is the one who's going to put an end to my tyranny?" asked the White Witch. That was the prophecy said.

She was in a tower in the sky...as the story title would imply.

"So the prophecy says. Your evil days will be over." spoke Apus.

He sure hoped that the prophecy didn't come true. What would he do without his mistress?

"I have to question the truth of the prophecy. He's not even a magician." spoke the witch. She on the other hand had all kinds of magic. It didn't seem like anybody could oppose her.

But she would not ignore the prophecy nevertheless.

"Maybe it won't come true. But should we take action, just in case?" asked the bird.

"Well, I see a window of opportunity. That boy is going on a car ride, is he not?" questioned Cassiopeia.

"Yes, he is." nodded Apus.

"Then I know how to take care of him." spoke the witch.

"Why do I feel like a chill just ran down my soul?" asked Oliver.

"Would you like some hot chocolate? I can deliver that too." noted Kiki.

"Thanks!" exclaimed the boy.

At night...

"Why does that girl keep staring at us?" asked Phillip. It was kind of rude if you asked him.

"I don't know, but I've never seen her leave the house. I wonder why." questioned Oliver.

Sure, it seemed like a nice house, but still.

It would be a good idea if she got out more.

Pazu and Sheeta were just preparing the finishing touches on the car.

"I'm glad you decided to help." noted Pazu.

"I've never been a lazy girl." remarked Sheeta.

"I'm sure you haven't." answered the boy with the hat.

Oliver got into the car.

"Let's give it a spin!" exclaimed Oliver.

"Wait...aren't you past curfew?" asked Sheeta.

"I'll come back right home after I try out the car, I promise!" shouted the boy.

"OK. But make it quick." said Pazu.

Oliver took the car for a spin.

For a while, it worked fine.

"This is fun!" exclaimed Oliver. He was so glad that Phillip had invented it...and that Pazu and Sheeta had helped him out with his passion project.

But suddenly, a wheel broke off.

The car crashed straight into the ocean.

"Oh no!" exclaimed Sheeta, pressing her hands against the side of her face.

"We have to save him!" shouted Pazu.

Kiki got the feeling that she was needed somewhere.

Was she?

Before Pazu and Sheeta could come to Oliver's rescue, his mother ferried him to safety.

She had come looking for him, it seemed.

"Whew." noted Sheeta.

But suddenly, something unexpected happened.

Oliver's mother had a heart attack.

"Oh no!" exclaimed Pazu.

A tragedy had happened that night.

"Noooo!" shouted Oliver.

The next day...

It would take time for Oliver to recover from the death of his mother. Who would have thought that it would happen so suddenly?

But then again, death wasn't always predictable.

Since he was still recovering, he would have some alone time.

He was currently letting it out on his bed.

Pazu was feeling upset as well.

"This is all my fault!" exclaimed Pazu.

"I don't get what happened. We worked pretty hard on it." noted Sheeta.

She decided to take a closer look at the car.

They had managed to salvage it.

Granted, Oliver probably wasn't going to want to ride in the car again.

But maybe somebody else would.

But they would need to make sure that it was safe.

Sheeta realized something that was alarming.

"Wait a minute...this car has been sabotaged!" exclaimed Sheeta.

"So it's not my fault? That makes me feel a lot better." remarked Pazu.

"Not me. This means that somebody tried to kill Oliver!" shouted the pigtailed girl.

"You're right? Who would want to do such a thing to the boy?" asked Pazu.

"I don't know. But we need to make sure that it doesn't happen again. We should keep an eye on him." recommended Sheeta.

"Good idea. I think he needs somebody to comfort him, anyway." noted the boy.

"It would be best if we found out who did this as well." spoke the mage.

"I agree. We've seen firsthand what some child abusers are capable of." acknowledged Pazu.

Colonel Muska pressed the button and the soldiers fell to their death.

"I've heard of the song It's Raining Men...but this is ridiculous!" exclaimed a soldier.

"We should have brought our parachutes!" shouted another soldier.

"Enjoy the ride!" shouted Colonel Muska.

"I am not enjoying the ride!" exclaimed yet another soldier.

"For now, I think we should check on Oliver. He needs protection. And comforting." spoke Sheeta.

"I'm sure that he does." nodded Pazu.

The two of them went to his house and knocked on his door.

"You can come in." said Oliver.

Sheeta wasn't sure if they should tell him that his life was in danger.

But either way, she could comfort him.

"We know how you feel. We happen to be orphans." said Sheeta.

"You are?" asked Oliver.

Pazu nodded.

"I'm sorry to hear that." said the boy.

"It's been lonely but we have each other now." spoke Pazu.

"Yeah. He's the best thing that ever happened to me." noted Sheeta.

"I'm glad you two get along so well. Are you dating?" asked Oliver.

Pazu and Sheeta's cheeks turned pink.

"Well, we aren't kissing. But we are hugging." explained Pazu.

"We once hugged each other for one whole hour." noted Sheeta.

"Wow..." spoke Oliver.

Oliver heard knocking on his door.

He checked to see if it was Kiki.

"I'm sorry about your loss. I've got something that will help you feel better." said Kiki.

Seeing what had happened to him recently, Oliver seemed like a perfect client.

Oliver hugged Kiki.

"Whoa!" exclaimed Kiki.

"Sorry, was that too much?" asked Oliver.

"It's fine. Really." answered the witch.

"Okay then." spoke Oliver.

Kiki gave Oliver a doll.

"Your mother wished to give this to you." said Kiki.

"I'll keep ahold of it." spoke Oliver.

It would be nice to have a keepsake.

Sheeta remembered having the crystal as her keepsake.

But Pazu had given her a replica of it.

"I wonder who the father is." questioned Sheeta.

"I'm not sure. Is he busy?" asked Pazu.

Hopefully he would be around to attend Allie's funeral.

Meanwhile, at the tower of the sky...

"Hmm. It seems that things did not go according to plan." noted Cassiopeia.

It seems that the prophecy could still be fulfilled.

"I feel bad for the poor kid. He lost his mother." remarked Apus.

"It may be unfortunate, but we must move on. The way I see it, if we deal with the boy, he will be reunited with his mother and I don't have to worry about him killing me. So it's win-win." explained the witch.

"That's one way to look at it." said the bird.

Although, she wondered how he was going to stop her.

He didn't even have the means to get into her world.

But she would continue to monitor his progress, just in case.

She decided that she wouldn't underestimate the boy.

Perhaps she should leave the Ivory Tower and see to him herself.

But then again, it was rather nice in her tower.

She decided that she would stay in it a while longer.

"I just hope that his two friends don't get in my way." noted Cassiopeia.

She got the feeling that they might be a problem.

There seemed to be something magical about the girl with the pigtails.

Perhaps she was the biggest threat.

But she would keep an eye on the boy too.

What did he have that could be used against her?

She would find out.

This is how it begins. Unfortunately, it's not a happy beginning. You can thank the White Witch for that. Though she isn't such a bad girl once you get to know her.

But then again, not all stories have happy beginnings. Just look at Kung Fu Panda.

Anyways, I hope that you like this fanfic so far. I'm glad I came up with it, at least.
