Stranded
Ash had slowly opened his eyes with his vision slightly blurry and groaned softly as he struggled to sit up straight on his bare knees.

He muttered softly as he slowly stood up on his still wobbly legs and folded his hands to his hips after seeing the state that the raft was in...before stopping in mid-sentence, as he finally noticed that something was missing.
"Wait...where's Tory?!" Ash cried out in alarm as he noticed that his friend was no where in sight and immediately looked for him.
"Tory? Tory, where are you?" The raven haired boy called out as he glanced around for his missing companion and much to his deep relief, he had spotted Tory, whom was laying unconscious on the beach on the opposite side of the raft and wearing a pair of navy blue swim trunks decorated with a coal-grey 'X' cross pattern.
"Ohh, thank God." Ash whispered softly, as he was relieved to see that the beau blue haired boy was alright and also on the beach before he walked over to check on him.

"Tory...you need to stay calm." Ash replied while placing comforting hands on his distraught companion's shoulders to help him relax.
"How do you expect me to stay calm, Ash? We're stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean far away from civilization! The raft is busted and we both left our Pokemon back at the Pokemon Center! The beau blue haired boy demanded with an exasperated expression on his face as he reminded his friend on their current situation: how they were stranded on a remote island and how they had no means of getting back home, as their raft was useless and that neither of them had their Pokemon with them!
"I realize that Tory, but getting all worked up and freaking out isn't going to help us either! We'll just be wasting time and energy." Ash strongly countered as he informed his companion that he wasn't blind to their situation and stated on how them sitting on the beach and shouting at each other wouldn't help them find a way off the island either, which helped anchor his friend.
"I guess you're right Ash. But what are we supposed to do?" Tory replied, as he knew that the raven haired boy was right on how them arguing and complaining was a waste of time and energy and softly asked on what they were supposed to do for the meantime.
"...Well, there are plenty of trees on the island. We could probably make a shelter and use the branches for a fire. We could use that to signal a ship." Ash answered as he helped Tory on his feet, stating on how they could build a hut from the palm trees and how they could use the branches/leaves for a campfire to keep warm and to signal any passing ships sailing by.
"Okay, sounds like a plan." The beau blue haired boy stated with a soft grin as he completely agreed with his companion's idea about building a shelter, especially since they'd need a place to rest/sleep during the night.
"Where do you want to set up camp?" He softly asked, wondering where Ash wanted to set up their campsite.
"...Well, we can't stay on the beach all day...not if we want risk being sunburned. So our best bet...is the jungle." Ash answered truthfully while rubbing the back of his head softly, stating on how he and Tory couldn't set up camp on the beach; as they'd be exposed to the elements and strongly felt that the jungle would be more suitable for them to set up shelter.
"...Hold up, Ash...You want to set up camp inthere? We have no idea what's in there!" Tory asked skeptically while pointing/gesturing to the deep tropical jungle that they were both looking at whilst pointing out the obvious fact on how neither of them had any idea if the jungle was safe or any wild Pokemon resided on the island!
"I realize that Tory. But the jungle is the best place for us to set up camp: the trees can protect us from the sun and rain, we'll be able to find fresh drinking water and hopefully, the coconuts and other fruits growing on the trees will be safe for us to eat." The raven haired boy countered while pointing out to his friend on how they'd find pools of water that were clean for them to drink, how the leaves/branches from the trees could shield them from the elements and how the coconuts, bananas and other fruits growing on the trees would provide them all the food they'd need to survive on the island.
"...Well...Okay, I'm sold. The jungle it is." Tory stated softly as he instinctually agreed with Ash's judgement and felt that the jungle was indeed their best bet: since the trees would shield them from the island's humidity and heavy thunderstorms.
As soon as they had agreed on where to set up camp, Ash and Tory had salvaged what they could from the wrecked raft...which really much, except for the rope they had used to make the raft and torn sail, which they felt could still be used as a beach blanket. After they had collected whatever supplies they could find, the two boys headed out into the jungle and couldn't help but smile after spotting the numerous beautiful flowers, along with the sound of Wingull and Pelipper squawking as they flew over over/past the islet.
'Wow...this island is truly beautiful. But even if we do build a camp and start a huge fire...there's no guarantee that a ship will notice and bother to investigate. "Hey Ash, do you hear that?" The beau blue haired boy asked as he heard the unmistakable sound of running water, that sounded surprisingly close and wondered if his friend heard it as well as they walked deeper into the jungle.
"Yeah...I do. It sounds like a waterfall. C'mon, let's follow the sound. Maybe its close by." Ash answered while nodding his head, confirming that he indeed heard the sound of running water, which he identified as a waterfall and fairly guessed that it was nearby, due to how he and his companion could hear it.
Thankfully for the two boys, after they had walked further into the jungle and shoved the branches/leaves blocking their view...wide smiles slowly grew on their faces, as they stumbled upon a large pool with a huge waterfall.
"Oh, my...It's absolutely beautiful." Tory muttered softly as he deeply taken back by the sight and tranquility of the large pool of fresh water that he and Ash just discovered.
"Yeah, it sure us. Looks like we found a place to take a bath and have a fresh drink." Ash replied, as he completely agreed with his companion on how beautiful the waterfall was whilst stating on how it would be perfect for them to bathe/shower and provide them with plenty of clean water for them to drink.
"...Hold on a second Ash? Bathe and drink in the same pool? Don't you think that seems a bit...unhygienic?" Tory asked with an incredulous look on his face after hearing his friend say on how they could shower and drink out of the same pool of water!
I mean we can freshen up in the pool and drink out of the waterfall, Tory." The raven haired boy replied while chuckling softly as he explained to his friend on how he meant that they would bathe in the pool and drink the water pouring down the waterfall.
"Oh...okay. Sounds perfect." The beau blue haired boy stated while sighing softly, even though he couldn't help but feel embarrassed for misinterpreting what his companion meant.
"Well, this is more than a suitable place to set up camp. The sooner we set up, the quicker we can take a much deserved bath." Ash stated, as he strongly felt that the area around the pool was more than an ideal spot for him and Tory to set up shelter.
"Okay, let's get started." Tory replied with a soft grin, as he completely agreed with Ash and was more then ready to get straight to work on setting up their campsite.
As soon as they had found the perfect spot for them to set up camp, the two boys went straight to work in cutting down bamboo and pulling down several branches to collect leaves from the surrounding palm trees. After they had collected the necessary supplied they needed, Ash had hammered several stakes down with a sturdy rock while Tory tied the bamboo together with the rope from the raft, to form a sturdy wall. Once the first wall for their hut was finished, Ash and Tory had went back to the beach to retrieve the huge flat piece of wood they had used to build the raft; which they felt would be perfect for the roof of their shelter. After they had collected the extra building material they needed, the two friends headed back to their campsite to begin working on their hut and after three whole hours flew by, their temporary shelter was finished.
Shortly after their hut was completed, Ash and Tory had found a suitable spot to set up a campfire and as an added bonus, they had used the leftover branches and rope to put together two hand crafted fishing rods so they could catch fish to eat...whilst secretly hoping that the fish they caught weren't Magikarp or Feebas.

Once inside, Ash had placed the blanket on top of a pile of huge palm tree leaves they had gathered to make a makeshift mattress and after he had placed the blanket over the leaves, the raven haired boy and his lover had laid down on their makeshift bed, side by side each other.
