TWO HUNDRED FOURTY ONE: NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

"Just hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing, ring-ting, ting-tin-tingling too," Acro sang as the minions and the fan girls decorated the castle for Christmas, "Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you." Everyone was dressed in ugly holiday sweaters, save for Dimentio the Grinch…whoops. Grouch.

"Come on Dimentio," Icefox pleaded as she draped across his lap, "Just one tiny-itty-bitty-little ornament?" she held up a simple golden ball by a hook in his face. She was wearing a light blue sweater with several snowmen and snowflakes on it.

"For the last time, no." Dimentio uncrossed and crossed his legs, nearly tossing Icefox on the floor if she hadn't landed on Ewtad's hand and been pushed back onto his lap. Ewtad was wearing a white sweater with several different "ugly (insert holiday here)" sewed onto it. "If I so much as hover off the couch, you and that new version of Acro will do something to my person that will cause great harm." Dimentio motioned to the humming vampire as he spoke.

"I can hear you," Acro sang to the tune of the song she was singing. She was wearing a purple Christmas sweater with a tree on the front and a Santa's head on the back.

"Like birds of a feather, that new version and the old one don't bother to pay a cent of attention." Dimentio huffed.

"Oh you whiney baby." Icefox grumbled. "Come on, one ornament?"

"No." Dimentio said forcefully.

"Why do you, uh, keep referring to Acro as, uhm, the 'new version'?" Nastasia asked, she was wearing an ugly grey and blue Hanukah sweater.

"Because," Dimentio insisted, "She's nothing like the old one."

"Rude." Mr. L snapped, he wore a green and black striped sweater with bright ornaments spotting it.

"Just because she doesn't give you all of her attention anymore doesn't mean she's not the same old, Acro." Mimi insisted. She was wearing a "ugly candy cane dress" though, to everyone else, it wasn't ugly.

"Besi's," O'Chunks said, carrying in a box load of lights and other shiny things, "This one is as kin' as a ki'en." O'Chunks ruffled Acro's dark hair as he set the box down.

"Come now, Dimentio." The Count walked in, "We all must participate in this holiday." Count Blumiere narrated. He wore a pale pink sweater with several light up "lights" wrapped around him.

"Oh, please, Dimentio, it's such a fun experience." Timpani clasped her hands together. She wore a rainbow sweater with Reindeer dancing at the bottom.

"Dimentio." Dimentio perked up when Acro called, "Please, not just for me but for all of us." She'd placed the last ornament on the tall tree and held onto the ladder as she looked at him.

"Not every ornament." Dimentio thought looking at the one still in Icefox's hands.

There was a rumble off in the castle, "My Chain Chomp!" Mimi took off from her string of popcorn. She ran under the ladder Acro was standing on.

"Mimi, be careful!" The Count called.

The ladder began to tip and Acro swayed at the top. "Acro!" Timpani cried out.

Acro closed her eyes expecting impact.

"Acro!" Dimentio was under her in a flash, he felt her slam into his body full force and the two hit the ground with a thud.

When Dimentio came to, he was in no place familiar. "Where am I?" he opened his eyes, half expecting Acro to still be in his arms, "Acro?" she was nowhere to be found, "Acro!" He scrambled to his knees and then to his feet, "Icefox? Nastasia? Chunks!" He called. No one answered, he finally realized he was in a forest and that there was music playing somewhere in the distance.

"No place to go but there I suppose." With that he hovered off. Before long he was out of the dying forest and had came upon a town where a celebration seemed to just be calming down. Dimentio, curious, but not stupid, decided to peek in from a gate.

"You did such an amazing job this year, dear." Timpani clapped her hands excitedly.

"Thank you, my dearest sweetheart." The Count caressed the side of Timpani's face.

Something stirred in Dimentio as he watched the Count and Timpani share an Eskimo kiss. Something was very off. The Count was hovering farther above the ground than usual, his limbs seemed skeletal, and his face was gaunt despite his warm smile. Timpani too, was grotesque, compared to mere moments ago. Her skin was discolored and sewn in several places. Her normal rainbow ribbon in her hair was replaced with an orange and black striped wiry ribbon. Her normal white dress was replaced with an off white wedding gown that looked to be taken from a bride-to-be's grave.

"Oh, Count, my Count," A little green skinned girl ran up, "This had to have been our most horrifying Halloween yet!"

"Mimi?" Dimentio questioned himself.

As Mimi and the Count conversed, Dimentio took in this new Mimi. She had a witch's hat on and a cute, little, purple dress with a big black ribbon tied around her waist. "Come on, Mimi, leave him alone." Mr. L walked over, a devils mask still over his face. When he took it off to make a face at Mimi, Dimentio noticed how pale the other man looked. Mr. L's eyes were seeming glowing blue against his pale skin, and his lips were definitely blue from some sort of untreated frost bite. O'Chunks came up next dressed in a skeleton onesie, he tried to pull Mimi and Mr. L apart.

"What in the world is going on here." Dimentio pounded on his forehead, "This is too far," he thought looking around, "Why would they change the entire castle to look like this?" He quickly turned back around not wanting to miss what they'd do next.

Nastasia walked up then, a huge "Mayor" button adorning her chest. "We've yet to give out the prizes, so please, uhm." She dodged an axe thrown by O'Chunks. "Settle down!"

The three incompetent minions continued to argue. Poor Nastasia was looking more blue by the second. Timpani shuffled awkwardly and The Count tried to calm the three minions.

"Awoooooo!" A howl broke the night. "Just listen to her so we can prepare for next year!" A were fox dressed in plaid stomped over.

"Of course." Dimentio rolled his eyes at Icefox's getup.

"Thank you, Icefox." The Count said, pleased.

"First, an award to most scares in a single evening goes to, uhm, Icefox." Nastasia announced. Icefox smiled, pleased, and accepted her award.

"Next, our runner up, Acro." Acro, the old Acro, with her red and black sweater, however, she had a long black cape flourishing behind her, stepped up to take her award.

Tired of their charade, Dimentio hovered up to the wall that surrounded the little city, "Well well." He clapped, "I'm certainly impressed." The all turned to look at him, shocked, "I never thought you'd all go as far as to change the entire castle. Like scientists in a lab, just what are you hoping to achieve by toying with this lab rat?"

"Who the heck are you?" Mimi asked.

"Mimi, dearest, it's not polite to forget your co-workers." Dimentio leaned against the gate.

"I don't know you." Mimi insisted.

"Of course you know me, I'm Dimentio-"

Before he could get another word out, Acro, Icefox, O'Chunks and Mr. L all let out howls of laughter.

"Now go be good little gremlins and get some presents." Acro stood up and watched the Flipside children run off.

"I must say, it's been two days and you all are keeping up with this game fairly well." Dimentio hovered near Acro.

"For the last time, this is no game. We truly do not know who you are or how you know us." Acro insisted.

"Be that as it may, I thought Christmas was coming up, not Halloween." Dimentio said crossing his arms.

"It is, the Count wants us to celebrate Christmas this year. We have no idea why, but we do as he says," Acro looked across the town square fondly at the Count. "He protects us, so we do as he says."

"Acro, this façade has gone on long enough, don't you think?" Dimentio pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Don't you think it's time for you to wake up?" Acro asked.

"What?" Dimentio questioned.

"Come on you big lug! Wake up!" Acro shook his shoulders, "I'm not that heavy! Am I?" She asked quieter.

"O' cour' not." O'Chunks said.

Dimentio cracked open his eyes to see that he was indeed in the castle, the tree still above him, the ladder discarded to the side. Acro had a lovely bruise forming on her forehead and forearms. "Thank, Grambi!" Acro latched her arms around Dimentio's neck when she noticed he'd came to, "Are you alright?"

"I think I just had a nightmare."

Woooow! Two done in one day! I haven't done that in forever!
