Luan was taken a prisoner by Circus Freak. Unconscious from being smothered by the clown weirdo, Luan was helpless against this situation. Circus Freak was about to get inside his anonymous van just then, the four heroes got there just in time, and were more than ready to fight. This time, Lori and Lincoln were angrier than ever as they had looks of pure hatred in their eyes against Circus Freak. "Let. Her. GO!" Lori shouted down at the clown villain.

"Ooh, you mad?" said Circus Freak, looking amused at Volcano Girl's rage face.

Before he knew it, he felt a hard punch to the face, almost knocking him out cold. "Ooh, mommy, is that you?" said the clown villain as he was dizzy from the punch. Then he felt himself being violently picked up by the shirt like before, and felt a few punches in the stomach.

"Let go of this poor girl!" Lori scolded him.

"Or what?" said Circus Freak, standing his ground against her with a hardened look on his funny face

"I'll use your spine as a chair, and your skull as a hat." Lori gritted her teeth at him, leaving him, Lincoln, Void, and Ghost Dog surprised by that eerie response.

"Whoa." said the crazy clown. "That sounds very dark for a hero like you. I mean, i would expect that from Void here, but you? You're just bluffing." he continued shrugging off the threat.

"I never bluff." the fire girl pointed out. "So again, let her-" before she could finish, Circus Freak gave her an uppercut to her chin, knocking her out cold. "

"Volcano Girl!" said her three cohorts as they tried to help her out. Lincoln tried going after the clown villain himself, but then he puled out a 9mm pistol from behind him from his back pocket.

"Back off, chumps." said Circus Freak as he was waving his gun at the three. "Unless you wanna meet the angels up in heaven!"

"You're not the only one with a gun." said Lincoln, pulling out his blaster. "I suggest you put that down, or your brain will turn to goop!" Circus Freak didn't really look scared at this, and smirked in amusement. "Why are you so crazy? What did everyone else do to you?"

"Honestly, kid," the clown freak flatly stated, "I don't know. It just brings me thrill to make people scream and run away in terror in a panic like a flock of rabid turkeys. But anyway, i guess we'll see how-" before Freak could finish, he felt his chest zapped by Lincoln's laser bolt from his blaster, making him land on his back on the grassy ground. Lincoln tried swatting it away. but then Circus Freak pulled out a stun grenade, making everyone's eyes flash.

Getting in his van, he immediately drove off with Luan in the back, still unconscious. It was just then Lori regained consciousness and saw the van driving away. "Luan!" she shrieked. In a frantic panic, Lori hovered and flew after the dingy van. Fury was in her eyes for she was desperate to get her funny little sister back from harm. Looking at his door mirror, Circus Freak was getting annoyed.

"Gah, she's relentless." he said out loud to himself. Lowering his car window, he pulled out a bomb that looked like a a toy ducky that was going off, and threw it out the window, and it didn't hit Lori, but the explosion was enough to knock her out cold, tumbling on the ground. A small crowd of shocked people gathered around Lori, and a couple of them picked her up as she was still stunned by the impact of the explosion.

It was just then the other heroes came and gently tended to her. "We'll take it from here, folks." said Void

"Oui, she'll be in good hands with us."

The next thing they all heard was the sound of police sirens and a bunch of cop cars, probably up to four or five cop cars, were chasing after the crazed maniac in his van and the noise of the sirens died away in about ten seconds in their hot pursuit.

At home, Lori woke up from being unconscious and quickly sat up. "Luan!" She looked around and saw that she was surrounded by all her family members (minus Luan of course), and Void and his pooch. "What happened? Where's Luan?" She said in a panic

"Calm down, honey." Said Rita. "The police are still looking for her."

"How long was I out?"

"Half an hour." Lola pointed

"Grr. This is all ny fault." Lori said. "This is all my fault. I almost rescued her and she slipped away from my grasp! Some superhero i am!"

"Don't say that." said Lynn Sr. "Lincoln tomd me everything that happened. Circus Freak is a very cunning and tricky guy. You'll never know what kind if tricks people like him will pull."

"dad's right, dude." Said Luna. "That guy's gone off the rails on a crazy train."

"But we still need to find her." Lori said. "Who knows what that crazy freak will do to her? She said that he wanted her to be his new partner or whatever."

"Come on, there's no way Luan would ever want to join that guy." Said Lynn. "She can be evil on April Fool's Day, but she would never join a supervillain."

Meanwhile

slowly waking up, Luan noticed that she was tied and bound in a chair under a dimly lit light like she was about to be interrogated.

"Hello?" Luan called out. Only an echo wailed back to her. "Hello?" She did it again."

"Ah, you're awake, my dear." Said Circus Freak. "Did you sleep well?"

"Where am i?"

"You're in Cheese World."

"Wasn't this place shut down over sixty years ago?"

"Right you are Luan. Thanks to the crunch of 74. Amazing how a person can live without a stomach. That's why i chose this place as my base of operation."

"You know about me?"

"Oh i know all about you. Like the fact that you are a jokester genius and a comedy wizard."

"Point being?"

"My point is, you will be a perfect minion for me. Together, we will cause mayhem, destruction, and of course pranks -- to everyone in this city!"

"No! I'll never join you!"

"Not willingly, yes. I have created a special chemical that can help you with that." Circus Freak smiled wickedly and held out a syringe fron behind him.

Luan tried so hard to break out of these accursed ropes but to no avail.

"Come on now, you will love this." He slowly injected the syringe inside Luan's upper right arm, making him yelp (despite being no more painful than most boosters). "There we go."

"So what happens now?" Asked Luan

"Give it a moment or two." Circus Freak flatly said.

"Even with that chemical or whatever, i will never." Then she felt something building up in her. There was like... a conflict within her and when she got her head up, she had a look of pure evil in her eyes. Circus Freak smiled evily and knew that he had done it.
