Hey all. Before we continue with story I want to Say something to you all.

I Do not appreciate the Slander that goes against Chichi!

Now I appreciate she may not be everyone's favourite character and I'm not trying to justify some things she says or does that come across annoying for some of you.

But I wanna make something perfectly clear. She is and always will be My favourite Character! Her and Goku are my favourite Couple! As you have probably guessed considering most of my work is based around these two!

She is my favourite Because I admire her. She's tough, she's beautiful and she's a great influence on Goku and a caring loving mother to her boys, Imagine if it were your kids going out to fight danger, don't you think you would be hysteric too!? I know I would! And Goku loves her for who she is, he said so himself, she understands him better than anyone! And I agree with him! And I bet if or when he finds out about her cancer, he'll be devastated.

I'm saying this because I have noticed some negative reviews wishing death on Chichi, That's Just Not Cool!

This story is sensitive enough as it is, and if I continue to see these comments I will scrap this story all together!

I want to make that perfectly clear, no one deserves a terrible disease like cancer. Especially her!

I obviously don't want to stop people from reading and reviewing my story, I want to see positive feedback from you all. And if you are gonna be critical, base it on my work (Spelling mistakes, Grammar, Etc) Not on the character! She doesn't deserve it! X x

Chapter 4 – Stage 2 Breast Cancer

'You got the results back?' she asked

'We have' The Doctor answered

And?' she asked he took a deep breath

'I'm So Sorry Chichi, But You have Tested Positive…. You have Breast Cancer.' The Doctor informed the ox princess, her face went pale and her face emotionless as she processed the information she had just been told. 18 covered her mouth with worry as she looked to chichi, she reached her hand for hers for support as it brought chichi back and looked to the doctor and cleared her throat

'So….What's next?'

'its tricky asking new patients how they are coping with new information like this, I'm guessing your feeling like some devil's pulled the rug' he said as chichi nodded

'Yeah, you could say that'

'Well my first advice would be to stay off the internet'

'Too late for that' chichi softly blushed

'Well from now on, anything at all, talk to me.' He instructed as she nodded as he looked over his notes 'Okay so, we have the thorough result of your biopsy and I'm afraid it's a little more complicated then we'd hoped.' He said

'Okay….. give me your worst' chichi instructed

'unfortunately the tumour is now outside the breast wall' he said as chichi gasped and her eyes filled with water

'You….. you mean its spread?' she asked

'Slightly' he answered as 18 gasped

'Uhh….ok….how much? To where?' she asked

'its gone beyond the primary sight and its moved to some of your lymph nodes' he answered

'Oh my god' 18 gasped to herself as chichi wiped her tears away and stayed calm

'okay so ummmmm….. where am I? what stage is the cancer at?' she asked

'Two'

'Two?! That's bad insist it?!' 18 asked

'Well we need to get you in for surgery so we can arrange to have the tumour removed from your breast, after that it'll be a two day a week session of chemo therapy'

'2 days a week? Surely you'd need more' 18 asked as the doctor shook his head

'What we need to do Is insure Chichi's immune system doesn't dramatically take affect, too much chemo will weaken her immune system at a rapid pace and she will be exhausted' he answered and turend to Chichi 'we need to ensure your quality of living isn't affected so you may go out your daily routine'

'So your saying I can keep doing the things I normally do?' She asked

'I don't see any harm, however just be warned that there will be side effects with Chemo therapy. Such as bruising or bleeding more easily than usual, Fatigue, Nausea, Hair loss…' The doctor went on, Chichi looked at her hair and felt a knot in her throat, she could handle vomiting and bleeding, she could make excuses for that. But her hair…how would she start to explain why her hair is falling out?

'So when can I get the surgery?' Chichi asked

'We have already scheduled for you to come back in 3 days. Until then, I'd like you to read over these pamphlets and if you have any questions please call the help line or you can contact me as well' the doctor instructed as chichi nodded as he continued 'now I don't want to give you false hope, but belive me when I say its better we caught it now. You have every advantage and support and we'll do what we can to support you to beat this. You have every fighting chance' the doctor softly smiled as she took a deep breath and nodded, it was still hitting her…she had cancer!

Chichi and 18 headed back to Mount Pazou and neither of them spoke, they were both in too much shock, chichi had completely shut down and was in her own little world and was trying to understand what was going on with her body. She felt as if her body had betrayed her! She had never smoked, she rarely drank, she knew she didn't fight anymore but that doesn't mean she let her body go! In fact, she still looked after her body, she was slim and she still had muscle. She felt angry that her body had betrayed her but then she realised how could it be? The plain answer was life was just unfair! And cruel!

18 was also finding all the new information hard to process, why did this have to happen to her of all people!? Chichi had never done a thing wrong in her life. so why was she cursed to have this thing affect her!? When 18 was first properly introduced to Krillin's friends, she felt out of place, but It was chichi who made her feel welcome to the group, encouraged her to purse things further with Krillin and not be afraid of commitment, because she really was as she felt she wasn't gonna be good enough for Krillin. She and 18 became fast friends, even the best. And she hated that this was happing to her of all people! It wasn't fair! It was heart-breaking!

Chichi and 18 arrived back at the house. Chichi stood in her kitchen and took a deep breath, she took off her coat and began to take things out of the fridge

'I was thinking of making some soup for the boys, chicken noodle is Gohan's favourite, I told him to go pick up Goten after school today and I promised him another home cooked meal, it was funny he said he feels like a little kid again when he's here eating my food, he always used to get excited when I cooked it cause he'd always try and taste some before dinner and I always made sure he'd finished his homework before…' Chichi went on and on beginning to slice and dice the food, she was ignoring what she had just been told by the doctor's, but for 18 that was proving to be difficult

'You can stay and eat with us if you want, the noodle soup is to die for and I always put a little spice in to kick in the throat a little, I'm told it was very…..' Chichi was cut off when she heard some weeping behind her, she turned to look at her friend who had tears in her eyes and her voice trembled. Chichi's lip trembled a little as she fought back her tears. She walked to 18 and gave her a hug. 18 hugged her friend back as she let her sobs get louder, she was scared. This wasn't an enemy you can easily vanquish and this wasn't something that can be solved by shenron! This was a battle only for chichi and she only had one shot to fight it! This was why 18 was scared. She felt helpless.

'you Gotta tell them chichi' 18 wiped her tears away as chichi frowned

'I can't do that!'

'You can't hide it either! They are gonna know something is wrong! Please! Maybe they can help you, give you the support you need'

'18 Please! You have to understand, I just can't tell them. Let me do this my way okay? Its my body and my choice!'

'What's it gonna take for you to say something?'

'Nothing... They won't need to know!'

'How've you worked that one out?'

'Because I'm gonna beat this!' chichi said with confidence, 18 admired her strength and willpower but she wished it was that easy to agree with

'I believe that you can chi, but the side effects are gonna take a toll on you. you heard what the doctor said…'

'Yes i did! I also heard him say that its stage 2 that means I have a chance to fight this! And I plan to with all I can give! But I need to do this my way without everyone fussing around me okay?!'

'They'd fuss because they care!'

'18 PLEASE!' Chichi begged, 18 could see she was desperate for no one to know and she hated that this was gonna be the case, but she nodded as chichi sighed in relief and felt guilty

'I know I'm putting you in a difficult situation, and I'm sorry, look you don't need to be here okay I can take it from here'

'I'm not leaving you to deal with this alone, I may not like your plan but we're in this together okay?' 18 said as chichi smiled, they both shared a hug as Gohan and Goten opened the door

'Oh hey you two! Can't stay away 18?' Gohan asked

'Oh well I just came over to get some advice about something, thanks chi! Great advice I'm gonna go now, I will see you later! Have a good night you guys!' 18 was out of the house and flying in the sky as fast as a bullet. Chichi turned to her sons and smiled

'Who wants chicken noodle soup?' she smiled as they nodded

Chichi had cooked once again and sat around the table with her boys as if everything was normal. Despite what she had been told today she wasn't gonna let her news effect her now that her kids were with her, she sat and played with her food rather than eat it as she listened to Goten talk about his day.

'Then the teacher said that we weren't supposed to set the rocket off in the corridor, we were supposed to do it outside. But Trunks said that the corridor was long enough for us to see how far the rocket can go and monitor it closer. Plus it was raining outside, long story short. Mrs Peara said we had detention tomorrow' Goten said

'Mrs Peara? Man she was always a grump, no one could make her smile, she had a face like a donkey's back end' Gohan laughed as Did Goten

'You shouldn't say things like that about your teachers boys' chichi stifled a laugh

'Oh come on mom you met her, she was miserable' Gohan laughed

'Still though' Chichi smiled shaking her head

'I like when you're here Gohan, its like you never left' Goten smiled

'Yeah I know. Feels like I'm a kid again being here with you guys, I keep telling myself to visit more when I have free time, especially to see you little bro….' Gohan chatted with Goten as Chichi went into a deep thought. She thought about what 18 had said, with her side effects of her treatment it was gonna be hard to hide her condition more and more, Goten was gonna notice and he'd tell his brother or his dad who was the last person chichi didn't want knowing. There had to be a way of making sure her boys wouldn't notice her upcoming side effects from her condition 'Right Mom?' Gohan asked his mother, snapping her out of her train of thought

'Huh?' she asked

'I said maybe I could come visit every other weekend to spend time with the family and you can look after Pan?' Gohan asked as Chichi panicked a little, being around her family was the last thing she needed right now, at least until she was better. She need them away. That's when she had an idea.

'Well I was just thinking about that Gohan, I know your little brother has been missing you a lot since you got married and became a father' she said as Gohan looked to Goten

'That true squirt?' he asked

'Yeah…. It has been a little lonely without you here'

'Oh I'm sorry Goten its just I got my family and you know you're always welcome to come visit'

'Yeah I know'

'Well I just had a thought, what if Goten came to live with you for a little while?' she asked as the boys looked at her with curiosity

'HUH!?'

'I'm not saying forever, but Maybe up until the end of Goten's school year?' Chichi asked

'But that's in 7 months' Gohan asked

'Right. Goten would be closer to the school and to Trunks, you and he can spent time together maybe with homework or even some training, I'm sure Piccolo would like to see you too' chichi suggests as Gohan got suspicious, she was so overprotective of him when he was a kid! So why was it so different with Goten?

'But what about you mama?' Goten asked

'Yeah mom you'd be alone here?' Gohan asked

'Well not really, I'd be waiting for your father to come back and maybe then I could do some renovations to the house, what do you think?' she asked as Gohan and Goten looked at the other and shrugged

'I mean I would be closer to the school, can Trunks sleepover sometimes?' Goten asked

'Fine but no pranks! I don't want any rockets being set off in the house' Gohan joked as Goten nodded

'Great its settled!

Gohan had gone home and Goten was getting excited to live with his brother and began to pack a lot of his stuff. Chichi watched him pack from afar and frowned a little, she hated he wasn't gonna be around but for his sake he needed to be away. So he wouldn't worry about what was to come, not that he was gonna worry cause he wasn't gonna know anything! Chichi went into her bedroom and sat at her dressing table and looked at herself in the mirror and just processed what she was told today!

'I'm So Sorry Chichi, But You have Tested Positive…. You have Breast Cancer.'

Chichi felt her hands tremble, her body shook as she heard that sentence repeat in her mind

'You have Tested Positive…. You have Breast Cancer.'

Chichi looked in her mirror as her eyes swelled with tears and her lip tremble and she let out a shaky gasp as she heard stuck on repeat

'You have Breast Cancer.'

Chichi covered her mouth to hold back a heart-breaking Sob, so Goten wouldn't hear her! It was all so real! And It was happening to her!

'cancer….. cancer…... cancer'

Chichi looked at herself in the mirror and then frowned, wiping away her tears and huffed at herself

'You haven't lost yet! You are gonna fight this! And you are gonna beat it! You're strong! And you can win!' she muttered to herself, needless to say she had difficulty sleeping that night. But she still stood by her statement. She was strong and she wasn't gonna go down without a fight.

Heart-breaking isn't it? I know this may be upsetting for some people to read but please know that I have thought about writing this kinda story for some time. And I think it's going well so far.
