A/N: Usagi, Mamoru, Minako, Makoto, Rei, and Ami will be using a device that won't let them be seen or heard by anyone except ChibiUsa. When they are speaking I will use underlined text to show that they are talking. Thoughts will be in italics, and written messages in bold. For the Senshis in the future I will use Sailor Senshi names.
Chapter 1: Arrival at Crystal Tokyo
ChibiUsa, Usagi, Ami, Rei, Minako, Makoto, and Mamoru stepped through a small portal that ChibiUsa created. When they got to the other side, they saw the shining castle of Crystal Tokyo. "Welcome to Crystal Tokyo, everyone." ChibiUsa told them, "Now, you cannot be seen, so we are going to use this." She held up a small device, "It will cloak you so no one but me can see or hear you…and I lied about some of the things." ChibiUsa started the device.
ChibiUsa motioned for them to follow her. ChibiUsa took them to the castle grounds where they saw two young men standing there. One had short lavender hair, blue eyes, and an intermediating build. He wore regal clothes, and on top of his head was a crown. The other man has spiky black hair and dark eyes, he wore a military like uniform, and his build was the same.
"..Is it wrong, Goten, that I am kinda bored with the peace?" The lavender haired asked. "I mean I love that my family is safe, but it's kinda boring."
"I guess it depends on what ya mean, Trunks." Goten said, looking at Trunks.
Trunks sighed and looked to the sky, "It's hard to explain."
"ChibiUsa who are they and why does that one have a crown?" Usagi asked.
"Oh, the one with black hair is Goten, he's like my Uncle. And the lavender haired one, is Trunks, he is the King and…my father."
"Your what?!" Mamoru asked in an angry tone.
Goten approached ChibiUsa, "How's my favorite niece?" He asked playfully as he picked her up.
"Uncle Goten!" ChibiUsa giggled, "Put me down!"
Goten still laughing, threw her in the air and caught her, "Having a good day, Princess?" He asked as he put her down.
Trunks came up beside him, "Daddy!" She ran over and hugged him.
"Hello, my Princess, how are you?" Trunks asked as he picked her up and hugged her.
"I'm good, but Daddy I have a couple questions." She said, "First, when is Grandpa Vegeta going to visit I want to see him. And second, am I ever going to have a sibling? I want one."
Trunks put her down his cheeks a bit pink, "Your grandfather is busy at the moment, you know with him being the God of Destruction and all. And uh for the sibling thing…talk to your mother."
Goten was laughing at Trunks' misfortune. Trunks glared at him, "Anyway, sweetheart, I have some business to attend to with Goten. Be good and stay out of trouble." Trunks said as he quickly walked away. Goten was laughing as he followed Trunks.
"ChibiUsa, care to explain what that was about? Why did you say that man was your father and the king?" Mamoru demanded.
"And what did he mean by your grandfather is the God of Destruction?" Rei asked.
"I had Endeyminon lie when the Negamoon attacked, because I thought it would be easiest. My father is Trunks and he is the King. He and Mom meet when he saves her from a monster." ChibiUsa explains. "I did tell you that I lied about a couple things. And my grandpa is the God of Destruction, he can destroy anything in the universe."
They were shocked by what ChibiUsa told them. ChibiUsa led them more into the castle where they saw Trunks and Goten a bit away ChibiUsa hid behind a pillar to listen. Goten was still laughing, "Y-You should have seen your face when she asked you that!"
"..You can stop laughing now, Goten." Trunks said with a half-hearted glare, "With Dad being the God of Destruction now, that decree he made if anyone is that dumb enough to attack the Earth has to deal with him." Trunks sighed, "I just want to fight someone, other than sparring with you, to test my limits."
Goten glanced around quickly, "I overheard some soldiers talking about an illegal underground fighting ring. Supposedly, aliens from all over the universe come, we could go and see for ourselves."
Trunks turned to him, his eyes wide with joy, "Really? That sounds awesome! I'm in…but I have to come up with something to tell Serenity, I doubt she'd let me go if I say 'Hey Angel, I'm going to this illegal underground fighting ring. Be back later.' So, do you have any ideas?"
"I know, I'm in the same thing with Mars…maybe we can say we've had a stressful week and we are going out to get some drinks. We go to the fighting ring, fight some people, go get a couple drinks, and be back no problem." Goten suggested, "I mean if we do get a couple drinks then we won't technically be lying, they just won't know the whole truth."
Trunks nodded, "It could work…"
The group saw Serenity talking with Endeyminon, as they approached where Trunks and Goten were talking. "I'm getting worried about Trunks, Endeyminon. He seems restless." Serenity said as she looked at Trunks and Goten.
"Have you spoken to him about it? Or to Goten?" Endeyminon asked
Serenity shook her head, "No, I haven't, I'm just afraid he's going to do something reckless."
Trunks and Goten came up them, "Serenity," Trunks said with a smile on his face, "Goten and I are going out for some drinks tonight, so I'll be back a bit later tonight okay?"
"Just drinks?" She asked, "Nothing else?"
Trunks shook his head, "You have nothing to worry about my Angel, okay? I love you." He pulled her close, "I wouldn't do anything that would hurt you."
"I love you too, Trunks…it just seems like you're restless." Serenity told him, "Are you sure you're okay?"
Trunks nodded, "Yes, my Angel. I am okay. Promise. Now ChibiUsa has a question for you when she sees you next okay?" Trunks gave Serenity a quick kiss and he walked away with Goten following behind.
"ChibiUsa, you should tell her about the fighting ring thing. It's the right thing to do." Ami told her.
"I know, Ami, but I think my Dad should tell her. Not me." ChibiUsa said, "Besides, I don't even know if he's actually going to do it."
ChibiUsa walked up to Serenity and Endeyminon, "Hi Mommy, hi Endeyminon."
"Hello, ChibiUsa." They said.
"ChibiUsa, your father said you had a question for me?" Serenity asked as she knelt down to ChibiUsa level.
ChibiUsa nodded, her pink pigtails bouncing as she did, "I do. Daddy's face got red when I asked him and Uncle Goten laughed." ChibiUsa told Serenity, "And all I asked is when I'm going to have a sibling. I want one."
Serenity's face turned slightly pink as well, "I, uh, I will talk with your father about that…now run along, it's time for your lessons." With that Serenity walked away and Endeyminon did as well chuckling to himself.
ChibiUsa turned to the group, "I have to go to my lessons. Please feel free to explore, I will see you all later." She skipped down a hallway and disappeared.
"Okay, all of this is so strange. I mean Usagi is married to someone that's not Mamoru." Rei said, "And I think I'm married to that Goten guy…"
"At least he's handsome Rei, and he seems fun." Minako said laughing.
They looked at Usagi, "Are you okay, Usagi?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Usagi said, still in shock over learning that her and Mamoru won't be together in the future. "I just…just don't understand."
Everyone exchanged a look, "Let's see what else is different shall we?" Makoto said trying to lighten the mood.
The group walked in silence when they saw Serenity and Trunks talking. "..So, ChibiUsa told me what she wanted." Serenity said her cheeks were slightly pink.
"I kinda figured, Angel. We can give her one." Trunks said suggestively.
Serenity playfully slapped him on the chest. "Trunks, stop." She said giggling.
Trunks pulled Serenity close to him, and kissed her neck, "Why don't you want to give her a sibling? Think of it, another little me running around would be fun." Trunks told her as he held her close.
"One of you is enough." She said giggling as Trunks continued kissing her neck. She pushed him away slightly, "Trunks, I would love to give her a sibling, but…"
Trunks looked into her eyes, "But you're worried that if we do have another kid that they would take more after me and have the ability to go Super, right?"
Serenity nodded, "Two Super Saiyans are a handful. Adding an uncontrolled one might not be the best idea."
"Serenity, ChibiUsa has Saiyan blood in her. I'm sure if I trained her she could go Super too. It's in her blood." Trunks said, "Any child we have would have that ability, it would just take training."
"To be honest, Trunks…Super Saiyan scares me." Serenity admitted.
Trunks looked at her, "Scares you? How does it scare you? The first time we met I was Super!"
"It changes you." Serenity said as she turned and walked away.
"Changes me? What does she mean by that?" Trunks thought out loud, "I mean I know my hair and eyes change color, does my personality change too? Or is that power that scares her?" Trunks looked in the direction that Serenity went, he could feel himself getting mad. "Fine, she doesn't want any more children, that's fine. But she doesn't not get to say she's scared of something that's a part of me." Trunks punched the wall that was near him leaving a crater in it.
He walked away in the opposite direction that Serenity did. "He seems to have anger issues…Usagi I wonder if you are okay in the future." Rei said worriedly.
"I agree with Rei, I mean look what he did to the wall!" Mamoru said.
Usagi goes over to the wall and touches it, "They mentioned the word 'Saiyan' what does that mean?"She asked as she looked towards where Trunks went.
Ami sighed, "I think it has something to do with Trunks lineage. As he mentioned 'Saiyan blood', and other things."
They looked at each other, and they decided to meet up with ChibiUsa to ask her questions. ChibiUsa finished her lessons and stepped out into the courtyard. "Hey everyone, did you explore?"
"We did…ChibiUsa, what's a Saiyan?" Minako asked, "We over heard your parents say that word."
"Well, Saiyans are an alien race that are born fighters, and they are very strong. Daddy and Goten are both half-Saiyan. Their fathers are full blooded Saiyans, but their mothers were Earthlings." ChibiUsa said, "Saiyans or people with Saiyan blood have the ability to go 'Super Saiyan' which makes them really strong."
"ChibiUsa can you go Super Saiyan?" Mamoru asked.
ChibiUsa shook her head, "I don't know, I've never tried…I don't know how Daddy and Goten do it."
They all walked with ChibiUsa as she showed them all over the castle. Towards the main entrance they saw Goten dressed in an orange Gi with blue accents, and a black cloak in his hands. Trunks walked up to him, in a green Gi, also with a black cloak. "Ready?" Goten asked as he put the cloak on.
"Yeah. I have some steam I need to release." Trunks said as he put on his cloak. "I need this."
ChibiUsa was shocked, "I-I didn't think he'd actually do that…" She turned to the group, "Would you follow them and tell me what's going on? I can't leave the castle to follow them."
"We will, then when we see what they are doing, please tell your mother." Rei said.
Trunks and Goten put the hoods of their cloaks up and headed out of the castle. Following at a distance, the group watched as Trunks and Goten started to go to a less desirable part of the kingdom. They stopped in front of an old warehouse.
Trunks put his hood down, "This the place?" He asked Goten.
Goten put his hood down as well, "Yeah, it is. Trunks, I just thought…with you being the King, they may not be very welcoming. They may think you are going to shut this down."
"That may happen, but I'll let them know I just want to fight. Blow off some steam, and drink." Trunks said as he ran a hand through his hair. "But I think we should make some rules for ourselves."
"Rules? Like what?" Goten asked.
Trunks turned his head to Goten, "First, no Ki blasts unless the opponent uses them, then it's fair game. Second, no Super Saiyan unless absolutely necessary, and third no fusion."
"Got it." Goten said as he pushed the door open.
Inside was dirty, full of tough looking aliens from all over the universe. The aliens all turned to see Trunks and Goten enter. "Ah! Shit! It's the King!" One alone yelled from the back.
Trunks put his hands up, "I am the King, yes. But I'm not here to shut you down. In fact, I want to join."
A big alien stepped forward, "Join? You, the King, want to join us?"
Trunks nodded, "Yeah, and my friend Goten here does as well. We just want to fight some strong aliens, drink, blow off some steam, and have fun."
All the aliens looked at each other, then back at Goten and Trunks. "Alright, then, you can join. But you have to agree to our rules." Goten and Trunks nodded, the big alien continued, "First rule, don't talk about this ring outside of the ring. Second rule, there are no rules, anything goes."
Trunks and Goten dropped their cloaks, and headed towards the makeshift ring.
"They can't be seriously considering doing this can they?" Makoto asked shocked.
"I think that they may be serious, Makoto." Ami said sighing.
"Alright! Everyone listen up!" An imposing alien said, "My name is Tarvel, and I am the ringmaster." His voice boomed through the crowd, "We got some newcomers tonight, it's my please to welcome the King himself, Trunks, and the Commander of the Military Goten!"
Mummers went through the crowd, "Yes, yes, exciting I know!" Tarvel said, "I have heard stories of their legendary strength and skills. Let's get the first match started!" Cheers went through the crowd, "First up let's have the King and Rycan!"
Trunks entered the ring with a confident smirk, his arms crossed. Rycan was a tall alien with red skin and horns. "Let's have an entertaining match."
Both competitors got into a fighting stance, the fight began, Trunks was easily dodging the attacks of the opponent. Trunks launched a barrage of punches and kicks
"He's good…really good." Makoto said, being a fighter herself. "He's using MMA style type of fighting."
"He shouldn't be doing this though. If he's the King he should be setting an example." Ami said, being logical.
Trunks was the victor of the match, "Winner, King Trunks!" Tarvel said holding up Trunks' arm.
"Just call me Trunks, after all I'm not the King right now. I'm a fighter." Trunks told them.
The next match was Goten, he was up against a big alien with blue skin. His match went similar to Trunks' only Goten was a bit more playful. "Winner! Commander Goten!"
"Just Goten, if you please."
The group watched in all as match after match that Trunks or Goten were involved in, they won. Their opponents did get some hits on them though. After the last match was done, Trunks and Goten were laughing. "That was so much fun! I'm glad we did this, but I'm going to be sore in the morning." Goten said with a playful laugh.
"Same here. It felt good to get to fight some people." Trunks said, breathing a sigh of relief.
Tarvel came up to the duo with two shot glasses, "It is customary here, that the winner or winners of the most matches have a shot of some of the finest liquor in the universe." He told them.
Trunks and Goten each took a glass, "To fights and good will!" Trunks declared. Goten and Trunks clinked the glasses then downed the shots.
"Thanks, we are actually going to go get some drinks, so we will see you guys at the next matches." Goten told Tarvel as he and Trunks handed the glasses back.
"We have a bar here, if you'd like to just get some drinks. I know a few of the fighters want to buy you guys some rounds." Tarvel said as he disappeared into the crowd.
Trunks looked at Goten, "Should we get a couple rounds here then head back?"
"Let's do it." Goten said. The two made their way to the bar.
"That was very careless of them to just drink some alcohol that a literal stranger gave them." Rei said her arms crossed, "It could have been poisoned."
Ami nodded, "You're right, it could have been. Are they really going to drink?"
"We should get back and tell ChibiUsa what happened here."
The group walked back to the palace as the sun had just set.
