YurikaTheShyGuy, a title Yuri gave himself for the Pokémon league. He had been training for this moment. However, no matter how much he had trained, his countless hours of study on Pokémon moves, Yuri fell to the hands of a 10-year-old kid named Ash and his Pikachu. And thus concluded his career as a trainer.

Later that same year, he moved to Alola. There, he married Holly at 16. He thought his new life was going to be perfect until the unexpected happened. Holly cheated on him with a guy who had won a championship before. His name was Gary.

Gary lived a life of luxury. Unlike Yuri, he promised Holly an easy life. Not only that, he even mentioned an upcoming championship he was going to partake in. Hearing this, Lucy, his last Pokémon, jumped out of her poke ball. She didn't want to give up Pokémon battling yet.

G- I see your Lopunny wants in too, huh? We always got room for more.

Yuri was all alone. His life, his love, his companions… all was gone. What would he do now? He's already settled in Alola. He's spent all his money buying a house. Selling it might sound logical, but he bought it under both his cheating wife and his name. On top of that, there aren't any jobs available at the moment to replenish his piggy bank.

One thing was for certain, he was not going to let a little misfortune take him down. He has invested his time and heart into a new life, and neither Holly or Gary were going to change that.

Months came by and Holly showed up again. It was a brief visit, but she was unrecognizable; blonde hair, painted nails, and lots of makeup. Lucy came with her. She didn't change much in appearance; instead, her attitude towards him was that of a musician that lost faith in music.

They both carried what he assumed were their babies. Holly's certainly wasn't his as they never laid a finger on each other, even after marriage. Lucy hit him the hardest. He didn't want to believe that she went away from him only to live an "adventure" in the heat of the moment. He felt like a father looking at the aftermath of his child's consequences.

He sighed, mostly indifferent. What's done is done; besides, his heart had other priorities. Divorcing Holly was at the top of the list.

H- I just came here to let you know I'm pregnant.

*Yeah, I can see that* he thought to himself. As he attempts to address his issue, Holly continues.

H- I'll come back later to leave you the baby, babe.

*Pardon?* he thought. First she's been away for nearly 8 months and now she wants him to take care of a baby that isn't his? This was it. There's no way around it.

Y- No. I want a divorce. ((Shows her divorce papers. Which get burned soon after by an Infernape.)) What the?

?- Didn't you hear her, you are taking care of the baby. And don't expect any child support. ((A Tall, broad-shouldered, walks through the door. It's Gary! He seems to have no intentions of staying for long.))

Y- Oh hell nawh! Who do you think you are?!

G- Machamp, show him who I am.

Machamp swiftly grabs him by the hands and punches Yuri twice. He falls to the ground. However, he still has more fight in him. Infernape uses Mach punch. It's super effective.

Yuri falls to the ground and nearly faints.

G- I am the champ, chump. We'll come back once the baby is born. And don't try running away. I've got my ways to find people.

Y- Fuck… ((Yuri fainted)).

How did his life suddenly take a dark turn of events? He gave up Pokémon fighting a while ago. He's lost the ability to command.

When he woke up again, there was the egg. Unfortunate for him, it began to hatch. It was too late now to dispose of it.

A Buneary hatched from the egg! … Except he doesn't find it that exciting. He initially wanted to set it free but something stopped him. It is as if somebody was watching him, judging his actions. Looking around, his body aches reminding him of his fresh wounds. He had to take care of them first.

Coming back from the bathroom, he finds the little Buneary messing with his collection of TMs and TRs. Then a magnificent idea strikes him, he could sell these to buy himself a ticket out of here.

Y- So long, gae Gary!

B- Bun?

Y- It's going to hurt to sell all of these…

B- Bunbun.

He looks over at the Pokémon. Buneary has TR 66, Brave Bird. It tried to learn TR 66… it failed. It tried to learn TR 66… it failed.

Y- Give that back, you can't learn that.

He begins to pack the most TRs he can in his old bag. Only a handful didn't fit. He decided to carry them by hand because why not? He isn't that delicate and strict on not using his hands. Looking back at the Buneary, he caught a glimpse of her poke ball, it was a love ball. Lucy's poke ball was a luxury ball. Why was this Buneary's ball different? It didn't matter. He had to move fast if he didn't want any more trouble.

Unknowing of his plan, the tiny Buneary followed him. Yuri noticed this and ordered it to stop,

Y- You can't follow me. I don't want you to follow me.

B- Bun?

Y- You're free to go wherever you want. There's nothing binding us, you know.

B- Neary, buneary! ((It gave cries of joy. It continued to follow him. Paying too much attention to it unfortunately caused him to trip over a rock. Yuri lost a few TRs due to tripping!))

Y- Dang it! I don't have time for this. ((He proceeds to deactivate Buneary's poke ball.)) Hopefully that settles it. Now, go! ((He continues on his way.))

Some time later, he arrived at the PokeMart. All his TRs got him nearly 1,000,000 PokeDollars. He felt confident that it would be enough to move elsewhere.

However, his problems weren't over yet; Buneary had followed him. It held a TR, TR84, Scald. He took away TR84 from Buneary. It looks happy.

Y- *That's odd* ((He thought,)) *Why didn't it complain?* ((His questions were answered as soon as he inspected it. It had learned a couple of moves, Cosmic Power, Grass Knot, and Thunderbolt. He sighs.)) Well, at least they went to good use, I guess.

N- Neary, bun!

Y- Why did you follow me? I told you to go away.

B- Bu!? ((It looks shocked. The poor Pokémon saddened after hearing this.)) Neary? ((It begins to shake its fluffy pants. It looks like Buneary caught something… It's a big Nugget!))

Y- What is that? Where did you get that?

B- Bun bun ((It kindly gives Yuri the Big Nugget. Yuri obtained a Big Nugget. It sells in stores for a lot!)) Bun, eary… ((It cries.))

It starts to leave. As it leaves, Yuri can't help but feel a belly ache. The poor thing didn't mean any harm. It even helped him by finding and giving him a golden nugget. Some hesitation later, he begins to accept the little mon as a temporary partner. At least until it can survive the wild on its own.

Y- Fine, I guess you are my little pog champ. Come here. ((He calls. It doesn't understand too much yet.)) Right. My bad. ((Yuri sneaks behind it and carries it with him.)) First things first, I need to teach you some basics about the human language so you can understand me. ((He says to it expecting to be understood. Luckily, Buneary gets the memo quickly.))

B- Bun bun. ((It nods vigorously. Yuri looks skeptical.))

Y- What should we call you from now on? Scout, Dusty, Sage maybe? ((It looks upset with every single one. As if she could feel the weight of having a name. Looking closer, it's a girl Buneary!)) How about Lola, then? ((Buneary stops for a moment. It quickly goes into its fluff and gets what looks like a TR. Buneary used the sketchy TR… She learned basic name bases.)) Huh?! ((Lola likes its new name!)) Woah, woah, woah, what do you mean by basic name bases? Where did you get that?!

B- Bu-neary! ((It smiles. You can't understand Pokémon, you need to get closer to your Pokémon to understand them!))

Borrowing it from Lola, Yuri inspected the sketchy TR… It is not an ordinary Tactical Record, its a Theory Recognition device. Yuri obtained a Rare Edition, Theory And Recognition Device! Not the best sounding name out of the tongue, but it can be called by an acronym! RETARD; makes you feel really stupid!

Feeling a normal amount of stupid, Yuri gave the RETARD back to Lola. She now feels stupid!

Sadly for the trainer and trainee, Holly showed up with Lucy. They arrived at the Pokémon center were Yuri sold his old TRs. There, he saw them with another egg and a new born. They hid behind the nearby bushes. Unfortunately, Gary's Chesnaught managed to catch them and blew their hiding spot.

H- Yuri, I hope you're not thinking of leaving me. ((She says while looking at his bag.))

G- What have you got there, Yuri? ((Chesnaught takes away Yuri's bag. It's full of cash.)) Thanks for the money. We might as well buy more condoms next time. That is unless you want the babies.

Y- You're sickening!

His rough tone of voice angered Gary. Instead of letting one of his Pokémons do the job, he was doing it himself. He man-ed up to prove Yuri wrong; despite this, Yuri barely flinched and returned it with far greater force, more than what he thought a slender guy could deliver.

G- Ghh! Machamp, use Cross Chop!

Machamp used Cross Chop on Yuri. It's super effective!

Y- You… cowards…

Yuri fainted.

G- Come on, Holly, we have places to be.

Buneary has no remaining trainers. Buneary blacked out.

Yuri's Buneary doesn't know finance. Yuri lost 750,000 PokeDollars to Gary.

Sometime later, Yuri woke up. A wild crying baby appeared! Or rather, was already there but it only began crying. This must be Holly's child. It's unbelievable the kind of person she's become.

Buneary used Follow Me on wild crying Baby, it failed. It looks as if wild crying Baby is tired of following Buneary.

Y- Let me see, ((Yuri takes a look at the baby… It's a girl!))

️ Baby is crying, Yuri doesn't know why ️Baby is crying. He took a further look at her, but there was nothing wrong with ️baby; which meant she must be hungry.

Going inside the PokeCenter, Yuri bought a bottle of warm milk. He slowly fed it to ️baby out of the bottle. She seems to enjoy it.

As ️baby ate, Yuri couldn't help but notice the amount of empty potions laying around outside of the PokeCenter. He looked at Buneary for a response, whom herself looked at the baby. She looked intrigued… or rather hungry.

Y- Come on, let's buy something to eat, Buneary. ((He calls onto his new Pokémon. She obediently follows suit.))

It's been a crazy week for Yuri. He abruptly went from being a single individual, living by himself, to a taker of two babies that is being threatened by a Pokémon champion. All he can hope at the moment is that whenever he moves out of Alola, someone will help him overcome the greatest challenge he has faced so far.
