The Amazing SnowSpider
Here's the spin-off of "Four Peters Vs. The Sinister Six" for Peter-3 AKA the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man. For him, this takes place just after his epilogue from "Four Peters Vs the Sinister Six" and for Caitlin, it's just after "The Flash," season 8, episode 16.
Could've easily called this story, "The Amazing Spider-Man 3," but I felt that was a little too obvious and lazy. Not that I'm dissing anyone on this site that also made sequels with that name.
Spider-Man is the property of Marvel Comics and The Flash is the property of DC and Warner Bros.
Chapter 1
Time.
Space.
Reality.
It's more than a linear path. It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know. I am the Watcher. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question... "What if?"
I don't do sequels. Normally. What's the point of revisiting the story when there are infinite stories to be told? But for Peter Parker of Earth-120703 of Metaverse J, his story is yet to end. But before we continue his story, we must first tell the story of Caitlin Snow of Earth-11111. Earth-11111 is probably the most like the Earth-1 of Metaverse CW, up until this point. Most versions of her end up with their universe's version of Peter Parker, Barry Allen, Ronnie Raymond, Ray Palmer, Prince Mon-El of Daxam, Winslow "Winn" Schott Jr or sometimes, a Steve Rogers of another universe. But like with Steve Rogers in some universes, Caitlin Snow had to find her true love in another universe, specifically Earth-120703.
In most universes, she took the loss of her sister and destruction of her second lab by Barry Allen to create Khione, under the deception that she was taking a break from the Team to stay with her mother. But here, she really did leave, but not to stay with her Mother. What would happen instead, would lead to a Caitlin Snow and a Peter Parker to finally move on from the losses of the people they love.
Earth-11111, Central City...
How could Barry do this to me? Caitlin thought as she sat on her knees in her destroyed laboratory of a living room, clutching Frost's plaid shirt. Moments ago, Barry Allen destroyed all the equipment and chemicals in her living room that she was trying to use to bring back her sister, Frost.
She went into her bedroom to cry. She was angry at Barry for destroying her chances at getting her sister back. The same guy she had a crush on for years. The guy who chose his stupid, selfish bitch of a foster sister as his wife and love of his life.
Part of her yearned for that first year as the Flash, even if she was being conned by the Reverse Flash. Barry was different then, before he dated Iris and her best friend, Cisco Ramon, still worked with her and was still in the same city to hear his bad jokes and hug her at times like this.
It was then that he remembered that she got a package from him from an Argus messenger a few weeks ago. It was around the time of Frost's funeral, so she just put it in her closet and forgot about it. She opened the closet and found the small package. She opened it and a found smaller box inside and a letter that she opened and read
Dear Caitlin,
I'm sorry that Kamilla and I couldn't make the funeral. We send our regrets and love. Maybe this gift will help cheer you up. I recently discovered (thanks to Wally and Constantine) that the multiverse is still alive. It'll probably be different to what we've already seen, like how our Earth absorbed and integrated Kara and Jefferson's Earths. Been too busy to find Harry, Jessie, or Sherloque, but I have recreated the extrapolators. I plan to make more, but I thought you could use one at least. You can use it to get around travel costs and go on vacation around the world or the multiverse (though, at least let Barry and/or me know in case).
Your best friend always,
Francisco "Cisco" Ramon.
P.S.
I'm sorry about Ronnie. I wish I could have done more and sooner.
After finishing the letter, Caitlin opened the smaller box and did indeed find an extrapolator, like one Cisco made for Kara after the Justice League defended Earth from the Dominators. She thought about what to do. The right thing to do would be to hand it to Barry. But as she realized earlier, S.T.A.R. Labs has changed too much. She didn't have much keeping her here. Sure, her relationship with her mother was ten times better than what it was years ago, she loved Joe and Cecile like a pair of second parents, but Barry was the straw that broke the camel's back. She needed more than a break from her life, she needed a fresh start.
The following morning, she woke up, showered, put on a fresh set of clothes, and then packed a carry on bag with clothes, toiletries, and her laptop and phone. She then made four video messages, one for her mother, one for Mark Blaine (who would most likely see this as giving up on Frost), Cisco (with a copy of the random coordinates that she put in, in case she needed his help), and finally, one for Barry and Team Flash. She then sent out emails with the video messages attached to be scheduled for delivery in a few days, so that Barry doesn't try to stop her. She then left her apartment building and went to a nearby alley and activated the extrapolator. She didn't know where in the multiverse she was going and she didn't care as she stepped through it.
Earth-120703, New York City...
She stepped through and immediately encountered a masked man. He (or possibly she) was dressed in a full red and blue suit (how patriotic she thought). His/her mask covered his/her entire head, even the eyes were covered by big white lenses. The center of his chest had an emblem that resembled a spider and the red on the suit was covered in what looked like spider web (she was starting to suspect the theme of this hero or possibly, villain).
"Caitlin?" He (at least he sounded like a guy) asked before taking off his mask to reveal a caucasian man with brown hair in his 20s or 30s. "What are you doing here, in my universe?"
"I'm sorry, I don't know you. You're probably confusing me with a doppelgänger of me." Caitlin told him.
"Oh, right. And I just revealed my secret identity to you. Way to go, Peter." Peter realized and then scolded himself.
"And now you just revealed your first name, Peter." She pointed out with a smirk. She didn't know if he was a hero, a villain, a cosplayer, a weirdo, or if it was the norm to dress like that in this universe.
"Right," he said, feeling even more stupid and embarrassed in front of her. "Perhaps we should sit down and talk."
"Peter, I don't know you, though clearly you know me. You could easily be a bad guy."
"Ok, tell you what, behind you, the alley leads towards a busy city street. Turn left and walk 2 minutes and you'll see the Moondance Diner. Today is Sunday and last I checked, it should be around 10:30, so they'll be in the middle of their brunch service. You go ahead of me while I go change into my civies. If I was a villain, I probably wouldn't do anything to you in a crowded place. And since your money probably won't work here, I'll foot the bill. Sound fair?"
Caitlin could easily use the extrapolator to head to another universe or even back to hers to talk to Barry or start from scratch with bringing Frost back. But Peter did make a fair argument. Plus, it wasn't like the Moondance Diner was some place he made up. She recalled it from the movie "Tick, tick…Boom!" That is, unless he made it up here. But Caitlin decided to give him a chance. After all, what are the chances something like Hunter Zolomon would happen again (technically a third time because of Eobard Thawne). She also realized something that Peter just told her.
"Wait, the Moondance Diner is New York City." She points out.
"Um, yeah." Peter replied.
"Am...am I in New York?"
"Yep."
"Huh." She responded, taking the revelation in. She was surprised that the extrapolator would bring her here. "Ok, I'll meet you there." She tells the costumed man, before she turns around and heads towards the end of the alley.
"Oh, and don't order anything too expensive before I get there. Not exactly rich in this universe." Peter called out before heading to a nearby rooftop to change.
Caitlin smirked at what Peter just said as she made her way towards the street.
Even if he is a villain, he's funny…and cute too. Caitlin thought.
Jungles of Paraguay, a few months prior...
A man is walking through the jungle as stealthily as possible, carrying a hunting knife on his person, ready to kill his prey. He bends down to find blood on some leaves. After tasting it, he hears a noise coming from nearby and sees a man standing up, with his back to him. He slowly creeps towards it as he draws his knife.
"You grow slow in your old age, Sergei." The man whispers, before stabbing him. But nothing comes of it. It wasn't even a person. It was a trap!
"A fate you will not share." Said Sergei Kravinoff aka Kraven The Hunter, who was standing behind the man.
The man tries to strike at Kraven with his knife, but he easily dodges the blow before grabbing the man by the neck with one hand and grabs the wrist of the arm holding the knife with the other hand. Kraven then twists the man's wrist so that he lets go of the knife and holds him up higher by his neck.
"I have been in your shadow for hours." Kraven tells him. "But you sensed nothing!" The man starts to make a noise that he can't breathe as Kraven strangles him with a single hand. "Pathetic."
Eventually Kraven squeezes his neck and kills him. He looks at the weakling who failed to kill him and throws him aside to the ground, not even caring where he landed. Soon after, some of Kraven's followers have come out of hiding in the jungle and approach their master.
"I asked for an equal. And this is what you find?" Kraven tells them, disappointed and a little pissed.
"Sir, perhaps…a new hunting ground?" One of his followers asks as he hands Kraven a tablet, revealing a map of New York City, with pictures of Spider-Man, The Lizard, Rhino, Electro, The Green Goblin, and many more. Kraven smiles in delight at his new list of prey.
"Light the fires, the great hunt begins!" Kraven tells his followers, with pleasure.
And that's chapter 1. This has been an idea I thought of shortly after I saw Flash, season 8, episode 16 back in 2022. Wasn't sure about a villain until seeing a walkthrough for "Spider-Man 2 (PS5)" and watched the story. No Venom, because that plot I'll use as inspiration for "Spider-Man and His Super Friends."
