Chapter 4: Love in the Time of Casa Bonita

I was walking outside in Chithravai's town square as I was waiting for the trolley to get on. Even though I was feeling much better, I had to focus on my mental health as I was more than likely to be going towards the Silver Teapot for today. It was a day for me to go freely as I went towards the trolley and stepped into it. The trip to the Silver Teapot was a breeze as it wasn't as bad as it was the moment I later stepped out of the trolley and noticed a line that was in front of it. Even though I was wanting to go there, it was rude to cut in line as I had to simply wait my turn the moment I displayed my common courtesy to do so. What I didn't expect was that Sona was there as she had the oldest twins in tow the moment they were armed with tickets in advance. The sight of them here worried me as Reina's warning about Sona being the Empress of Erebor was something that couldn't be taken lightly, for it was an omen that had to be taken in slow steps.
"I take it that you decided to wander over here again," I said.
"Guilty as charged," said Ghimru.
"Actually, I decided to take Aora and Ghimru with me because of the fact that Halloween is coming next week and they've already got out some candy," said Sona.
"At least you're having a good time, but we're mainly stuck here until we get in line," I said.
"We got some tickets to go in the Silver Teapot," said Aora. "I heard from Guido that there's a pink restaurant in there that has a waterfall in it."
"It's called Casa Bonita," said Sona. "Aunt Sadritha told me about it in which it was located on Earth in Colorado. I've seen clips of a dirty cartoon that had the restaurant in it at the time in which it was later bought by the guys who created it."
I remembered that trip to the Silver Teapot as I was stuck in the Sky Wheel with Dean in which I also went towards the section where the restaurant was. The Casa Bonita section in the Silver Teapot was an experience all on its own as it was something that was uplifting after the Sky Wheel Fiasco. Even though Dean is still grounded on Alecrast as its new Emperor, he wasn't here to worry too much as I had to hold my own here. While I continued to wait, I spotted Carly standing behind all of us as she had her own ticket, but Ingmar was there in which he was also adamant into protecting her, for he had to man up if he wanted to do his part in helping people.
"We're all going to the Silver Teapot," she said.
"And you also have your date behind you," I said.
"Hey, sir," said Ingmar as he was standing behind Carly. "I decided to come along in which we got some tickets to go in the Silver Teapot. Also, Guido and Casey are way ahead of us, but they want to go on a date after Reiko scolded them for overworking too much and need a break. Besides, I always wanted to come here, but Mom couldn't afford it at the time. I just hope to the gods that she's okay after those freaks in spacesuits tried to ransack Skald Island."
It wasn't long until the line got smaller as we were moving along. When we were the last ones to go in, we showed the receptionist our tickets while giving us some bracelets to navigate the Silver Teapot with. When we all went in, we noticed some of the Halloween décor strewn all over the place as we noticed people dressed as the Universal Monsters greeting everyone who made their entrance. We also noticed some employees dressed up as the Hex Girls playing music while everyone watched their performance in the Silver Teapot. By the time we got to the amusement park area, I noticed the children getting onto the carousel as they were riding on the many horses that were going up and down in an contraption that catered to anyone's whims. Still, I declined to go on the rides as they weren't for me due to the fact that most children often gravitate towards the, for I never forgot about the incident in the Sky Wheel where I was trapped with Dean while Guido flushed out a gremlin that sabotaged it…
Michiru was outside as she was making her way to the trolley with Qu'Nabrai and Theoden in tow complete with purchased tickets to the Silver Teapot. All three were looking for me as they had to take their duties towards me seriously. It was a very daunting task as they had to find the nearest trolley the moment they booked it despite the fact that it led to the back entrance to the Silver Teapot. Even though they were pranked by Florian to be in the Hunter Corps, there was a change of plan and heart in which the very gist of it was to protect me from the influx of the Zenith Vectors, for they were hiding in shadows while trying to fend off the Leviathan threat in the making. Little did they know was that Damien was right behind them as he was eager to find me in which he also didn't want me to wander off at present, for he had his reasons to track me down so far.
"And here, we're taking the back entrance to the Silver Teapot," said Theoden as he sat down in the seat. "And our silver-haired six-foot-four tall friend got off with an early start, but he can't be hard to spot."
"This is humiliating," said Michiru. "None of us ever signed up for babysitting duty despite the fact that we're just a bunch of freelanced hunters."
"Well, it's better than be humiliated by the grunts who criticize one's medical condition," said Qu'Nabrai as he was busy checking his blood sugar with his glucose monitor. "Florian may be the Emperor of Valinor, but he also pulled that prank to teach us a lesson not to jump the gun."
"And none of you would ever fit the mold of being part of the Hunter Corps," said Damien as he entered into the trolley. "Our target may stand out, but he's also a man who has the knack for helping those in need."
"And we'll be going to the Silver Teapot not only for its rides and souvenirs, but to the Casa Bonita section complete with a waterfall and swimming area. And another thing, they make the best apple juice parfait that complies with managing my diabetes."
And so, the trolley started upward as it made its way towards the Silver Teapot as planned. Still, everyone was adamant into looking for me as they couldn't let me get too far, for they also feared the worst that was yet to come at this moment…
Guido and Casey were at the theater section as they were watching an old romantic film. Sitting in the front row, they saw the images of a man and woman looking at one another as they braved through so many obstacles in their way. In their chemistry, both Cetra and Ancient were holding hands with one another as they were meant for something more, for this was their reason to stand out in the face of mortal danger. By the time that the film was finished, everyone got up from their seats as Guido and Casey were ready to leave the theater just in time for lunch. The plethora of food courts were pleasing, but had ot adhere to standards that the Chatterjee Clan had due to the fact that they couldn't consume beef or pork because of religious concerns.
"There's so much over here," said Casey.
"The biggest attraction in the restaurant sector is the Casa Bonita section," said Guido. "They say that the chicken al pastor tacos happen to be great."
"I heard people talking about the waterfall, even though we never brought our swimsuits…"
"If we can't go swimming, then we can always watch the mariachi band play something loud."
"I see what you mean, but I also know that you're very brave when you stopped that gremlin in the Sky Wheel a few months ago…"
"I couldn't let that thing gunk it up with people in it. Thankfully, no one was hurt in which even the smallest creepy-crawlies can be the biggest troublemakers in the long run..."
Casey smiled at Guido as she was happy that he was keeping her safe. Even though they were ready to enter into the Casa Bonita section, they saw a vision of a young boy staring at the restaurant entrance as he was watching with curiosity. What they didn't expect was that a teenage version of Ingmar was catching up to the boy as he was waiting for someone in particular, for it was a vision of the future that hadn't been realized yet.
"There you are, Fabrizio!" yelled Ingmar in the vision.
"But this is the place where Mommy and Daddy dated," said the boy.
"I remember this place so well… That was when the Silver Teapot had a hotel section called the Love Nest and I was the one who ended up getting a private reservation through a gag gift in the claw machine. I would've gone, but it was mainly made for adults, so I gave it to your parents just to have the time of their lives. Besides, we need to stick together or else Carly would unload on us for wandering off."
Both Guido and Casey saw the vision dissipate as it was something from the future that never happened yet. It was something that they never anticipated before as their future was already set in stone in which they had to roll with it, for it was a vision that cemented them for life in this grand turn of events…
Ingmar was busy playing with the claw machine as he was wanting to get a candy box for Carly. With a precision that was eager on a gamble, he ended up getting a bag as it was attached with a whole bunch that were stuck together. When he saw them being put into the drop slot, he got them out as he unstuck them and noticed them to be the usual gag bags the moment he saw Carly have a turn at the claw machine and get out the candy box, for luck wasn't on his side right now.
"I got it!" she cried as she was holding the candy box in her hands after she got it out of the slot.
"You're so lucky," said Ingmar as he was stuck with his horde of gag bags.
"And the moment of truth is what's in the candy box…" Carly opens it up as she sees some wrapped chocolates inside. "Alright! I got some candy!"
"I bet that I'll be getting nothing but rocks in those bags…"
Ingmar delved into the first gag bag as he dug out a canister of salt in which he was lucky to get it after what he went through last year. He never forgot how the shtriga nearly killed him until Reiko intervened as he also never forgot how Carly salted the doors and windows for safety temporarily. It was also a reminder of his role of being a future hunter as he also didn't want to lose the girl he once bullied. When he got into another bag, he found a string of large black beads as he saw them to be part of some weird cosplay the moment he put them around his neck. Even though he didn't mind, he went towards another gag bags he got out of the claw machine as he saw a gift certificate for two to the Silver Teapot's premiere love hotel, the Love Nest along with a few odds and ends that were in the rest of them that followed. It wasn't long until Sona and the oldest twins showed up as they spotted Ingmar with the collection of what he won from the claw machine, for they were also embarrassed at some of the odds and ends he found in the gag bags.
"You really hit the jackpot, didn't you?" said Sona.
"I was going for candy, but I had a few things stuck together," said Ingmar.
"What's with those beads?" asked Aora out of curiosity.
"They look like prayer beads, but they'll make a great cosplay prop for one of those guys in orange kung fu suits."
"Are you that dumb?!" yelled Sona. "Do you know what those are?! Those aren't prayer beads that you can wear! They're actually a personal toy that grown-ups shove up their butt!"
"Are you sure about that?" asked Carly.
Ingmar was embarrassed to see what he was wearing as he took off the string of black beads and put them back in the gag bag. Even though he had some odds and ends that he won out of the claw machine, there were a few that weren't tailor made for children as he separated the normal ones from what was blended in the gag bags. When he picked up the items he won, he was walking over to the Casa Bonita as he spotted Guido and Casey standing there the moment he had to lighten the load just to give them some of the grown-up items that ended up in the mess of gag bags, for he was too young for what he would endure someday.
"What are you guys doing here?" asked Guido.
"We're taking a day at the Silver teapot," said Ghimru.
"I've got some things that I wanna give to you guys because you're the only grown-up couple around," said Ingmar as he gave Guido the gag bag with the adult things in it. "They're the stuff that most grown-ups play with when they have their alone time. There's even a gift certificate for a love hotel here if you're interested."
Guido looked at Casey as he was also staring at the gag bag that Ingmar gave to him. Digging into it, he saw the gift certificate to the love hotel along with the black beads and a box of condoms that were in it. Both of them noticed Ingmar standing firm and not be too dirty as he had his reasons to give the gag bag to them, for it was a private matter for them that didn't involve young children's prying eyes. By the time everyone was in the Casa Bonita section, they noticed me waiting for them as I was patient and not lashing out the moment I saw everyone settling down, but there wasn't enough room for a table of six. It was crowded, but there was a table in the gazebo for two to sit in the moment that whoever in my party would take it, for it would be a surprise if they did.
"Looks like the Cartman table's vacant," said Guido as he saw it upstairs in the gazebo.
"And two of us will have to fill it," I said.
"I'll take the table," said Sona.
"I'll be your date," said Ghimru as he looked at her.
"No…," said Ingmar. "Guido and Casey should take the table upstairs. They are grown-ups after all…"
It wasn't long until Guido saw another vision of a Half-Elf and a Draaza that was taller than him sitting at the table as they were enjoying the view while eating some chicken tacos al pastor along with some garnachas with refried beans. He never saw them before, but they were very much in love as they saw the cliff divers jumping off into the waterfall, for they were familiar with it due to their love for food.
"And there they go," said the Half-Elf as he was enjoying his taco.
"It's been years since we came to the Silver Teapot, but it also signaled our betrothal as well," said the Draaza girl. "That was when Ingmar showed us those anal beads in which I pointed them out when he got that mess of gag bags out of the claw machine that day."
"Dad was there the first time after he and Uncle Dean got stuck in the Sky Wheel in which Guido came in and flushed out the gremlin that nearly did them in. As for the cliff diving in this place, he plunged, but his swim trunks fell off and had to cover himself with his long silver hair."
"The Casa Bonita section is great and all, but most of their meat in their tacos and other Mexican food still consists of chicken, lamb, fish, and seafood because they still don't allow beef or pork because of religious concerns."
"According to Dad, the people who live all over Chatterjee land and its homestead are mostly Hindu and Muslim, but we all have to respect what's get thrown at us from time to time…"
"We did sit at this table once when were kids, you know, Ghimru…"
"This is our last day being single, but after this, we're about to get married despite the fact that Dad found you in stasis in a restroom at the time. We really grew up, but we also had to deal with destiny keeping us together in the first place. We've come a long way, Sona, for returning here to the Casa Bonita section was well worth it..."
Guido returned to reality as he noticed Sona and Ghimru go towards the table upstairs where they were eating their food. When he got his order of food, he tasted the lamb tacos as they were mainly out of this world. Even the rest of us were having the time of our lives as we ate our fill of what was put in front of us. With dessert consisting of sopapillas, we at them with some whipped cream and honey as they were the best imaginable. By the time we paid for our food, we were on our way out of the Casa Bonita section as we were ready to call it a day until we made our way to the hotels that catered to our tastes. I picked the one with the superheroes as Guido and Casey were going towards the Love Nest in which they were more than likely to be staying put until morning, for they would soon turn in once they make it to their rooms later on…
Theoden and his group entered through the back entrance of the Silver Teapot as they were mainly looking for me while navigating through the myriads of children and their parents heading for the theme park section along with several employees dressed up as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Even though the place was packed, it was mainly for the children until nine in the evening as all three were searching through the areas thoroughly. What they didn't expect was that a pair of suspicious people arrived as they were trying not to blow their cover the moment they were armed with a metal briefcase near the maintenance room. All four in the group had to follow them as Damien's eye changed to the usual imprint of raw power and black sclera while detecting the two suspicious people. He knew what they were as he had a gut feeling that they would try again with something more sinister, for he was also armed with the right tools to kill them with.
"Dude, what's your deal?" asked Qu'Nabrai worriedly.
"Those two are not Terran at all," said Damien.
"No…," said Michiru. "They've came all the way here to the Silver Teapot?!"
"And look what they've got with them," said Theoden as he saw the briefcase being opened in the distance. "They're clever, but not out of options in which they're about to spike the food in this popsicle stand."
"We need to keep our distance," said Damien cautiously. "Whatever they're doing, we must stop them before they taint everything with what they have in that briefcase."
At that point, the two suspicious people stopped as they put down their briefcase and stared at everyone. Damien was unmoved by their stance as he was armed with his bow and arrows the moment everyone else was alert while staring at them. The atmosphere in the back near the maintenance room was getting intense as the group had to stop the suspicious people before they tainted everything with what they had, for they were also part of SucroCorp on Harkonnen, but not following their mistress' orders right now.
"Well, well; if it isn't the goon squad coming here to interfere with our buffet," said one of the suspicious people. "This is just a small sample of the additive that we took with us before you destroyed the rest of our operation on Tinuviel Island."
"You're really screwing and eating the pooch, aren't you?" said Qu'Nabrai as he was armed with his knives. "Your miniscule additive won't touch the lips of these people here in the Silver Teapot."
"Oh, how I've got one hell of a sweet tooth when it comes to eating diabetics," said the other suspicious person. "If I ate you now, I'd be licking your bones for the taste that lingers on my tongue feels like chocolate pudding."
"Don't even think about it!" yelled Michiru. "You may think that you have the upper hand, but I know that you're after Guido Zampano just to covet and abuse what he has!"
"Brilliant deduction, but we took orders from that demon, Celaeno. She wanted to not only steal Guido, but to kill the Ancient that he shacked up with! For the record, we didn't have to listen to our boss, for we obey Celaeno with great conviction."
"Really? That's rich coming from the same humanoid piranhas who turned down a certain King of Hell in the Elder Days and ate his tailor referenced in Slash Fiction," said Damien as he fired an arrow into one of the suspicious people the moment he saw its maw wide open. "As for what was on the video that Lord Minara showed to Michiru, your boss doesn't tolerate disobedience in which the ultimate punishment is none other than death by bibbing as referenced in How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters." He shoots another arrow into the other suspicious person as it was writhing in agony while opening its maw. "The arrows I shot into you are crafted from not only the usual materials often used for killing monsters, but borax in which you're weak against it while it corrodes your bodies to the point of incapacitation." He shoots two more arrows into the suspicious people as they fell to the floor while in a corroded mess of black ooze. "Just because you think of yourselves as being on top of the food chain, doesn't mean that you don't have restraints on your own gluttony. That is one flaw that a Leviathan has and it will always be its own weakness instead of its strength."
It wasn't long until members of the Order burst through the back entrance as they collected evidence of what was in the briefcase. Damien was thankful that the Leviathans were subdued as he gathered up his arrows from the corroded corpses in which the had a gut feeling that this threat was far from over. What he didn't expect was that Castiel was watching as he saw what was left of the Leviathans who nearly tried to contaminate the food supply that was in the Silver Teapot as he remembered what he went through in the Elder Days. The very betrayal of his trust for godlike power was something that he could never forgive himself for as he was also the harbinger who let out the Leviathans from their prison in Purgatory in the first place, for it was something that plagued him for centuries so far.
"There's been a shakeup," said Damien.
"It's about the Leviathan threat, isn't it?" said Castiel as he saw the evidence on the floor.
"Matriarch Yavanna must be warned or else more will come and taint everything not only in the Silver Teapot or the Chatterjee Clan's homestead, but the rest of Chithravai as well."
"This is Celaeno's doing… She's a demon who entered from host to host, body to body until she took the life of Yavanna's brother-in-law and nephew. She placed an Elven curse on the demon, but her body-hopping days have been clamped down once she possessed the corpse of Lianne Tai. The curse held firm, but the side effects of a lingering sex addiction has driven her mad to the point of killing her victims. You're not the only one who has been monitoring her activities, for she also has bad blood with Midori Kurohana and her employees at SucroCorp on Harkonnen as well."
"Well, she wants to go all the way just to get into Guido's pants," said Qu'Nabrai.
"She not only wants Guido for his access to the Sight of Valithis, but to eliminate the Ancient that he's fiercely devoted to as well."
"Tough shit, but there's no way in hell that the demon in question can take that Ancient's main squeeze," said Theoden. "From what I read in the Draaza lore books in the orphanage I grew up in, those who are blessed with the Sight of Valithis mate with their chosen plus one for life and no one will ever separate them, not even the monsters who will go after them."
Castiel spotted Guido and Casey going towards the Love Nest as they were ready to check in for the night. As for the threat that was averted earlier, the one pulling the strings was waiting in the wings to strike as it was far from over, for there were those who would also want what didn't belong to them and not stopping…
Guido and Casey were in the Love Nest as they were in the designated room complete with a large bed and a bathroom. Even though they were tired, they made their way to the bathroom as they began to take a shower in which they were eager to clean themselves up before setting down in the bed. Both of them were cleaning themselves up as they were no strangers to the depths of intimacy in the past four months. By the time they finished up, they stepped out of the shower and dried themselves off as they even went towards the sink to brush their teeth with complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was a typical perk for a hotel, but it was worth it for the night as they would soon lay down until morning. When they finished brushing their teeth, they picked up their dirty clothes as they put them into the hamper before leaving the bathroom and straight to the bed, for they were naked and staring at one another.
"It's ironic that Ingmar gave us the gift certificate to this place," said Guido.
"He's a sensitive boy at heart," said Casey.
"According to Sam, he was a pain in the ass when he tried to break Sona's Batgirl doll, only for Dirk and Gyatso to step in and hurl snowballs at him. He once tormented Carly until Moro forced them to spend the night in the schoolhouse for their behavior the moment they had to face a shtriga that was lurking all over the place. Now, he's devoted to her after what they went through in which he was later roped in the betrothal process by the Rakuen Priesthood. He isn't the only one in Sam's family who is on the betrothal block. One of his sons is also on the betrothal block, but he's only six years old right now. I know the visions of the future very well in which he was seen as an older Half-Elf in the Casa Bonita section."
"Didn't Sam tell you that the future is neither set in stone nor put there willingly?"
"He did, but sometimes, fate plays tricks on you just to conform. By the way, are you doing okay after being on the rag?"
"I'm doing better, but I stopped bleeding yesterday."
"I can see your aura on the verge of longing. I can also sense that you're on the verge of mating, but we're not ready for it." Guido sees a brighter aura as he saw it to be the signal to create new life even if it was against his wishes. "You're more beautiful more than anything in which not even the gods or the Matriarch can split us up…"
At that moment, Guido cupped Casey's face as he gently kissed her soft lips. He had her all to himself on this night as he was on the verge of taking her before it was over. What he didn't expect was that he was seeing something else click as he was busy massaging Casey's breasts. He was hers as he didn't want to let her go right now in which he was beginning to take things slowly. It was at that moment that he saw one of the swimming creatures stop at the sphere as it burrowed itself into what was in front of him. The sphere itself was starting to form from within as he later noticed the other creatures pushing it into a wider terrain the moment it attached itself on the side. The very sight of it was new to Guido as he later returned to reality in which he had a gut feeling that his devotion to Casey would soon change for the better, for he wasn't the type to leave her side right now. He didn't want to dwell on it as both he and his beloved closed their eyes and fell asleep in their arms, for tomorrow was a new day after all…
I was in my hotel room in the Silver Teapot's lodgings as I was mainly checking up on the children who were exhausted from having fun a few hours ago. The sight of Aora and Ghimru sleeping in the Superman bed while Sona and Carly took the Wonder Woman one was a sight that kept me grounded as I later noticed Ingmar sleeping on the sofa with the Batman pillows. Even though the beds and sofa were taken, I ended up going up to an attic as I saw the continuation of fireworks and rides still going even after the children were in bed at a decent time. The place itself had a bed that was similar to what I slept in at the fort on Gehenna as I laid down in it the moment I was longing for Reiko once I got home. Still, we would've had time to get intimate, but not in front of the children below as I decided to wait it out until it was time to get back to the villa in El Anillo del Fuego. Just as I was about to crawl into bed, I saw Castiel standing there as he was staring out the window, for he was troubled when it came to dealing with the current threats that got thrown at us for a while.
"There's been a problem," he said to me.
"What kind of problem?" I asked.
"A few hours ago, two Leviathans showed up at the back entrance of the Silver Teapot with a briefcase filled with the additive that was made by SucroCorp. Thankfully, Damien averted the threat with the evidence taken by the Order's soldiers, but there's been something that I need to clarify first."
"There's no need for judgment here, for we all have things that aren't family friendly to the public."
"The Leviathan threat… was my doing the whole time… In the Elder Days, after the fall of Lucifer and your past self's soul was taken into Hell, I took his body to do my dirty work by even working with Crowley by capturing alpha monsters at the time. It was something that I could never forgive myself for when I was confronting Raphael and other angels and demons who still wanted the Apocalypse to continue. I… also shattered the wall of your past self's soul and condemned him to the same hallucinations of Lucifer tormenting him and even betrayed his trust along with your brother of Old in which my lust for godlike power became my undoing. The Leviathans overwhelmed my vessel and dragged him into a lake in which he evaporated while they took shape in their hosts through the black ooze they sprang from. When I reemerged, I was found naked in a bathroom at a gas station in which Totsuka saw me the moment Beverly Wandell and Meg arrived to hide me from Dick Roman and his cronies. I also had my memories erased while living under the alias of Emmanuel in which it was a cover for me until everything resurfaced while I reversed the madness that your past self went through."

Castiel was relieved to hear those words from me as I bore him no ill will at this time. As for what was about to happen next, we all had to stand firm as there was no time to let our guard down, for this was starting to get dire indeed…
The next morning, I was up and alert as I was busy doing the laundry in the laundromat in which I was mainly washing everyone's clothes before setting for home. The sight of the frontloaders washing our clothes and towels from the hotels were a typical task for me as I later noticed Guido entering into the laundromat with a box of donuts in his hands along with a cup of coffee. When I saw him sitting down, he was musing about something as he was taking a bite of an apple fritter and sipping his coffee, for he was still puzzled at what he experienced last night.
"You're in a mode," I said.
"I just woke up after having the best night of my life," said Guido.
"You should thank Ingmar for giving you all those adult things that he wasn't into, which is feasible just in time for returning home through the ferry."
"I need to get something off of my chest… Last night after Casey and I got to the nitty gritty, I found myself seeing some sort of universe as if I was in one of those sci-fi movies. What's even bizarre was that I saw some strange creatures swimming around like fish the moment I spotted one of them burrowing into a sphere while the rest of them were pushing it further when it stuck to a wall of a wider plain. It was freaky, but I never saw anything like it before until now, but this must be some sort of omen that got put in front of me."
"You looked at the fertilization of an ovum, didn't you? I saw the same thing when Reiko and I were not using protection during our first few weeks after we married in which this wasn't just an omen, but a blessing in disguise."
"No fucking way… Are you telling me that I saw a bunch of sperm just swimming out of some rando's testicles and straight into a large sphere the size of a planet?" Guido was stunned to hear that as he took another bite of his apple fritter. "I don't know what I'm gonna tell Casey if—"
Without warning, we saw Damien burst into the laundry room as he knelt in front of me. He was eager to tell me what happened as he later stood up while reporting for duty, for he was more than likely to be telling me about the situation that I missed yesterday despite the fact that I was enjoying my time at the Casa Bonita section.
"There's been an incident, My Lord," he said to me.
"Is it about the two Leviathans who tried to taint this place with that additive?" I said.
"It was in which the Science Corps has it in its labs and on lockdown at the moment. From what I saw, the two Leviathans were sent at the behest of Celaeno instead of their boss on Harkonnen. According to Lord Minara, there is a penalty for the employees who disobey Midori and that is none other than death by bibbing whre the one at fault eats itself to death. Our girlboss at SucroCorp may be calling the shots on her homeworld, but she isn't like Dick Roman in which she's been cautious when it comes to dealing with those who cross her."
It wasn't long until Theoden burst in as he was holding a scone in one hand and a matcha frappe in the other while humming a fanfare to acknowledge his presence. He was no stranger ushering out extravagance in his entrance as he was eager to bring in some news about what was going on, for he was also on board with what was yet to come right now.
"Coming attractions!" he yelled as he sipped at his matcha frappe.
"This isn't the time for theatrics right now," said Damien sternly.
"That's just it because you should see the front page…"
We noticed Theoden set down his drink as he fished out a newspaper in which it detailed activity of the Zenith Vectors elsewhere. When we saw Jacob Doran on the front page, I had a gut feeling that his xenophobic crusade wasn't over yet in which he was very dangerous, for he wasn't taking things lightly when it came to going towards the terrorist's goals in mind.
"They guy was last spotted in the same place where he tried to take out one of Qu'Nabrai's moms," said Theoden. "Most of the locals on that planet he's holed up in have an animosity towards the bastard in which he hightailed it out of Alecrast after the Stewards got their asses handed to them…"
"I've heard of him before," said Guido. "According to the Alecrian Emperor, the ass-clown on the front page sent his troops in and ransacked his base on Shiganshina in which he butchered his wife and nearly killed their son. He's moved on, but the trauma remains."
"And I know of what happened to him very well," I said. "He was a wreck when I noticed the Impala parked at the Wonder Nook last year while drinking his sorrows away. Cleaning the car out was no fun, but it was a lot better than have it turned into a slob's den. He was a mess in which Magda's death nearly broke him, only for me to pull him back up to move forward. As for his union with Ravenna, she loves him despite the fact that she had a few obstacles of her own after her first husband passed away from prostate cancer. Both Emperor and Empress had taken losses that impacted them to no end, but that didn't stop them from rising up again."
"Well, you better hold onto your jockstraps 'cause the Alecrian Emperor ain't the type to be pushed around after seeing the news on the front page and he definitely has a hate boner for the prick who busted up his base."
I remembered Dean being a wreck after the Zenith Vectors invaded and ransacked the base in the Dabb Mountains on Shiganshina as he was merely drinking his sorrows away at the time. The look of anguish worried me as I also had to get him back on his feet even after I cleaned up his mess that he made in the Impala. Still, he may have moved on, but he also had a personal vendetta against the Zenith Vectors for causing such anguish towards him. As for what was going on, the combination of those xenophobic terrorists and the Leviathan threat became intense as they wanted one thing in general and that was to find and abuse what didn't belonged to them. By the time I saw the frontloaders go on spin cycle, I saw a courier enter into the building as he sent me a letter the moment I opened it up to see who wrote it, for the sender was familiar due to the Shigan royal seal on the envelope.
"It's from Matriarch Ovidra," I said as I showed everyone the letter.
"I bet that she's wanting Qu'Nabrai to get his ass back to Shiganshina to attend to his princely duties," said Theoden as he sipped his drink. "I just hope to the gods and the Matriarch that the Empress consort doesn't worry too much because of the fact that he has to have his blood sugar monitored without it spiking and crashing."
"This isn't just an urgent matter, but a warning in which there's been some extremism going on besides our usual hunt for the typical 'monster of the week.' The last time I saw Matriarch Ovidra, I was dealing with the Red Inquisition during the Spillway mission on Shiganshina. As for what I need to hear, she should also be aware of the threat that has shaken up the entire Ashizoka System as a whole."
I walked towards the window as I noticed a white crow perched on one of the Looney Tunes fixtures in neon as it was a dire warning in disguise. As for the current situation, this was far from over as I also had to protect Guido and Casey from harm, for they were just as targeted as I was in this lingering battle to covet what didn't belong to our enemies…
