20th August 2003…
"Haaaaa…Haaaaaa…Haaaaa…" (heavy breathing) On this night in the city of Rio…
"Where are you Laura?" A sinister voice spoke in the background, as yiu could hear a female breathing and panting heavily like she was running away from something. Or running away from…someone? "I am, coming for you…"
(Scene swiftly opens up) A female scarlet macaw appeared to be running away from someone. With blood splattered on her face and clothes.
She ran down an alleyway and slid down some bannisters that lead to an underpass that went under a bridge.
The bridge itself was for the tram that travels across the city and up the favela to make it easier for pedestrians to travel.
So running underneath it would already be dangerous enough.
A shadowy figure emerged from behind some dumpsters, holding a smaller object in their hand. And a sinister smile appeared on their face as blood dripped from their beak.
"Must escape! Must escape!" The female panted and rolled under a fence as it lead to a larger passage way to the strip next to the ocean.
"Laura…Lauuuuuuuraaaaa?" The voice became deeper and more sinister, indicating that it was a man who was chasing the women who was named Laura. "I'm coming for you…my little cherry blossom…"
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She picked up a glass bottle and tossed it at him, as he swiftly dodged and let it smash up against the wall. "YOU KILLED MY SISTER AND MY BEST FRIENDS!" She cried fearfully, hopping over a couple of fences, to create as much space in between them as she could.
"Hehehe…The feistier the prey…the more enjoyable the hunt!" He sent chills down her spine as his eyes were bloodshot. As he edged closer to his target. With his grip on the blade getting tighter, and the smile on his beak was nothing short of terrifying and horrific.
(A chilling whistling noise is heard) The tune he was whistling was the song 'Run Rabbit Run' by Flanagan and Allen.
"Oh god…Oh god…AHHHHHH!" All of a sudden, Laura fell down into a hole in the pavement and twisted her ankle. "Owww! Owwww! My…My ankle!" She whined in agony and clenched her aching body part.
"Run…Laura…Run…Laura…Run run run…" The male sinisterly whispered as he approached the fleeing female. As he ran the blade across a concrete wall. As it made a really uncomfortable noise that sounded like someone was scratching a chalk board with their hands. "Run Laura…Run Laura…Run run run…"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" She yelled again, before she crawled on hands and knees under another fence.
"I already killed everyone else…you will be my finest kill yet!" He chuckled evilly, kicking over a trash can.
"P-Please! Leave me alone!" Laura cried again and limped her way down another alley.
Struggling to stand up properly, the scarlet female saw the man approaching her that revealed to be another scarlet macaw. And she had to kick a trash can over with her other foot to delay his approach. As she began limping away down another dark alley.
"You did want me to change? Now I am better than ever…" He chillingly smiled and hopped over the spilled trash can. Getting closer and closer to his target.
"Oh god…Why? Why are you doing this Tobias?! WHY?!" She yelled in anguish as she finally made it to a wall that overlooked the ocean from in front of her. "We were so happy together!"
"I'm getting closer…" Tobias cackled from around the corner, as he was getting ready to confront her.
However, the wall was a little bit too tall for her to climb over, meaning that she had hit a dead end.
(The chilling whistling can be heard again)
Laura was well and truly trapped now, with no possible escape!
And just as she was breathing in double time and searching for a potential escape route…
"Run Laura…Run Laura…Run run run…Are you having…Are you having…fun…fun…FUN?!" Tobias stood there opposite of her with blood all over his hands and face. As well as his white shirt was covered in blood. Like he just massacred a room full of a hundred people. The fact that his face egen showed no remorse or emotion, showed that he was a cold blooded killer. "There you are my…cherry blossom. Thought you could escape me?"
"P-P-Please honey?! Please! Don't…Don't hurt me…" Laura pleaded as she dropped to her knees and rose her hands up in defence. "I-I love you!"
"Hmmmm…This…is what…you wanted? Now…you've got it!" Tobias muttered as he held up what appeared to be a knife. "You know what I would love? I would love to know what your innards would look like?" He snarled sinisterly as he approached her slowly.
"Please…Please don't…" An icy cold shiver ran down her spine, as terror enveloped her whole body.
"Haaaaaa…Haaaaaa…Haaaaaa!" His breathing only intensified, as he held the knife up in a threatening manner.
"Don't! DON'T!" She screamed in horror, as he ran up to her at full pace screeching. With his face curled up angrily and lifted his knife up about to slash her. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…"

Present Day…Ten Years Later…
On A Dark And Foggy Night…
It was a night shrouded in pitch black darkness on this veey day.
The atmosphere around the street had been enveloped with a thick fog that blanketed the vibrant city of Rio.
The streets themselves were filled to the brim of locals from all over the city, filling up the bars and the restaurants.
The streets were pulsing with life and excitement, as the many tempting bars and restaurants brimmed with eager patrons.
All seeking the warmth and comfort of each other's companionship and the joy of shared laughter under the starry sky.
Amidst this lively atmosphere, one particular restaurant stood out, where a pair of blue Spix's macaws found themselves wrapped in a romantic evening, revelling in the simple pleasure of each other's company.
One of them was a fairly tall and young looking man. With chocolate brown eyes and a black beak and nose. He also had a fairly slim build but he had a dad bod. He also had blue feathers sticking out of his arms, and blue tail feathers. Nonetheless, he was a handsome young man.
Sitting opposite him was a young looking girl who wasn't as tall as the man she was sitting opposite of. But she was still pretty tall.
She also had bright turquoise eyes, and she also had a light grey beak and nose, along with white facial markings on her face. She had a slender body with large breasts and a round plump butt. Along with light blue feathers coming out of her arms, as well as light blue tail feathers. She was a very beautiful young lady.
From the way the two of them were smiling at each other dreamily and they were gazing deeply into each other's eyes. You could tell that they must have been a couple out on a date night.
The way they were sitting on a cosy corner table with a romantic candle in the middle of the table. Clinking glasses of wine and talking amongst each other, as the sound of everyone else around them felt like a faint whisper. With their focus being on each other and not on who was around them.
"I'm so glad that we finally had a night off to do this Jewel. This was so long overdue." The male beamed happily. Revealing the girl's name to be Jewel.
"I know Blu. Ever since we moved in together we only see each other all day on the weekends, and every night during the week because we both work 9-5 jobs." Jewel revealed who her boyfriend's name was as Blu.
"Let's not forget that I work as a financial advisor, and you are the best dancing instructress in the world!"
"Oh I wouldn't know about the world honey?" She blushed a light pink and waved her hand at him.
"Nobody I know can teach dance as well as you can. Shall I remind you that all three of your last students went on to be successful ballet dancers? And you also had that part to play in Carnival." Blu smiled at her lovingly.
"Hey! You know that if it wasn't for you, my dad would have lost millions in his last investment?" Jewel beamed and rose an eyebrow.
"And yet, he still hates me…" The blue make sighed and rolled his eyes, knowing that his girlfriend's father never approved of his daughter's relationship with him.
"He doesn't know what he's talking about Blu. He has hated every guy I've ever dated anyway."
"Not Roberto? He liked him."
"Yeah but that's different…Beto was a friend of the family since I was a baby. You and I met at University." Jewel giggled and caressed his hand lovingly. "The most precious moment of my entire life…was the day we bumped into each other in the library."
"If I am not mistaken, I believe I was working in the library that day and I noticed you were struggling with your paper on the art of dance? And what did I do?" The blue man rose his eyebrow in amusement.
"I asked you to help me get an A on my assignment, and I offered in exchange for me to flash my tits at you." She blushed uncontrollably, and brushed her hair back behind her ear.
"But being the gentleman that I am, I offered to take you out to dinner instead? Which to be honest at first, wasn't your first choice?"
"It wasn't. But, when I saw you being a gentleman instead of being a horny pervert. It made me actually respect you. And…I actually admired you for that." The blue female held onto his hand, as they interlocked their fingers and smiled dreamily at each other. "And after that first date…I'm glad that you offered to take me to dinner. It was after that first date that I genuinely felt a real connection with you. It was the best day of my life."
"And it was the most magical day of my entire life.."
SPLASH!
Suddenly, some tough looking blue throated macaw man knocked over Blu's glass of wine and pushed him aside. So he could sit opposite Jewel, who was above and beyond offended by this man's rudeness.
"Hey baby! How would you like to spend the night with a guy who has won forty nine arm wrestles in a row eh?" The male flexed his bicep in front of her, but all this did was make her uncomfortable and furious.
"Ummm, excuse me? That's my…girlfriend you are t-talking to." Blu nervously stuttered and scratched the top of his wrist.
"Ha! Hahahaha! You?! And her?! Run along kid! You ain't got a chance with this hottie!" Patting his head mockingly like a dog, he spun back around to face an angered Jewel. Who all of a sudden threw the glass of wine in his face. Spitting on him afterwards in disgust.
"BACK OFF TINY DICK! Don't touch my man!" Jewel rudely yelled at him and took hold of Blu by the hand. "Come on honey, we are leaving!"
"Yes dear…" He sheepishly looked away from the tougher looking guy and followed his girlfriend out the door of the restaurant after he paid the cheque for the wine.
As the two blue macaws left the restaurant, a man in a thick black coat and a trilby hat watched the young couple leave together.
But for some strange reason, he was particularly staring at Blu.
Not in a weird way. But more in a way that showed…he was intrigued by his behaviour.
Just Outside The Restaurant…
As the evening was about to drift into the night, both Blu and Jewel were linking arms and waltzing down the road to where the taxi stand was to wait for a cab to get home.
Normally one of them wpuod drive into the city when it came to either a day or night out. Or even if they needed to go into the city for work or event.
But in this case due to the two of them both consuming alcohol, it wpuod be improper for either of them to drive under the influence of alcohol.
"You would have thought on a Friday night there would be a huge row of cabs lined up? They would want the business wouldn't they?" Jewel thought out loud. Scanning her surroundings for a cab to take them home. "Shall we wait for the tram?"
"Next one is in…twenty four minutes. We can maybe walk home? But I-I don't like going through that alleyway…" He nervously stuttered and twiddled his fingertips.
"Hey? It's okay baby. If you don't wanna go through the alley, then we can wait for the next cab or tram." Jewel understood that her boyfriend was quite nervous about walking through rough areas at night. So she understood that standing in a well lit area would make him feel a whole lot safer.
"Excuse me sir? Got any spare change?" Suddenly, this poorly looking young hyacinth macaw man turned up wearing a tacky worn tunic and a green wrinkled old hat. Holding his hand out towards the young in love couple.
"Sure. Ummm, here is…" As Jewel got some money out of her purse, the energy in the air shifted dramatically.
"In fact, why don't you just give me everything…" He pulled out what appeared to be a switch blade, and aimed it towards Jewel. "Come on sweetheart! I haven't got all day!" He spat quite rudely, gesturing with his left hand for her to just give him her purse.
"You too blue turkey!" A yellow macaw man approached Blu from the other side holding a baseball bat.
As Jewel narrowed her eyes and appeared to look like she wanted to kick this guy in the stomach. Her boyfriend pulled out his wallet and handed it over to him. "L-L-Look buddy, we don't want any trouble! Just…Just take it!" He stuttered in terror, as he was cowering behind his agitated girlfriend. "J-J-Just please leave us…"
"You are such a fucking pussy!" The man punched Blu in the face and sent him flying into the wall, as it knocked the wind out of him. "Hahaha! Good job protecting your girl!" He mocked him, as he sinisterly smiled at the already infuriated blue female.
"Now you sugar tits! Hand it over!" Suddenly, the blue throated macaw man from the bar hat shown up. And he was holding an iron crowbar. "Don't make me ask you again!"
"No!" Jewel rudely responded and held onto her purse tightly. "You already have more money than what you will ever have! So just go!" She didn't want to get into a confrontation with the scary men holding weapons. But if she was going to defend herself, then she would do it herself if it was absolutely necessary.
"Or what? You gonna send your…Pffffft! Hey! Hey boys?! Check out the little baby boy crying in the corner!" The blue throated macaw pointed and laughed as they were all staring at Blu hiding away in the corner. Crying his eyes out as he rocked back and forth, sliding against the wall like he was having a panic attack.
"STOP IT! YOU ARE SCARING HIM!" Jewel leapt forwards and scratched one of the muggers in the face with her sharp nails. Really making his face bleed.
But to make matters worse, the mugger grabbed hold of some kind of broach that she was wearing on her dress. Ripped it off and quickly ran away with three other guys that were a part of their gang.
Leaving a really terrified Blu who was having a panic attack up against a wall. They already stole his wallet and they stole his girlfriend's most prized possession.
Where he was worried about the traumatic event that just occurred, Jewel was more concerned about the well being of her boyfriend.
"Hey, hey hey it's okay! It's okay. They're gone now." Jewel slid down the wall next to her, and kissed him on the cheek. Inch did snap him back to reality a little. But he was still very scared.
"I-I-I am such a coward! Why couldn't I p-protect you?!" Blu whimpered fearfully, turning to face her with teary eyes.
"I know honey. I know. But, you don't have to protect me? I can protect myself?" She tried comforting him, but to no avail.
"But if I was a man…I wouldn't have cried like this…" Blu wept as he wiped his eyes with his hand.
"Blu…I Don't care if you are a manly bird? I love you just the way you are…" Jewel purred and kissed him on the beak lovingly. "Let's go home and we can call the cops, okay?"
"O-O-K-Kay…" The stuttering from him showed that he must have been extremely terrified after the incident.
And as Jewel helped him up and finally managed to flag a cab down, what they hadn't realised. Was that the same man in the trilby hat and thick black coat was watching them from a distance. Witnessing everything that had occurred right there and then.
"He's perfect!" He muttered to nobody in particular, as he pulled out his cell phone and called someone on speed dial.
Stranger: Hello
Unknown: I suppose you would be calling me at this time for a good reason?
Stranger: A blue macaw man. Age 20. Kinda dorky and nerdy. But a total pussy!
Unknown: Is he alone?
Stranger: With a really hot girlfriend. 20 most likely. Has more of a free spirited personality compared to him
Unknown: Excellent! Pick up the package and intercept him as soon as possible. Then we will talk about next steps
Stranger: Understood!
Both of them hung up the phone and the male disappeared into the night, leaving no trace or him behind.
Two Hours Later…
Back at the apartment complex where both Blu and Jewel were currently residing, two police officers were talking to each of them separately. Just to gather as much information as possible.
"So you had a good look at one of their faces in the restaurant. Muscular blue throated, green eyes, scar on his lip, grey facial markings. And he had a crooked nose from where it may or may not have been from a pre ious injury?" A military macaw policeman was taking down Jewel's information. As she was sat in the living room on the couch.
"Yes. He also had a thick accent. Like he was from Paraguay or something?" She responded Edith a straight face, every now and then glancing at her boyfriend. Who as of right now was talking to both a police woman and a psychiatric nurse. "Blu got the worst of it however. But, we managed to cancel his cards before the muggers could spend any money on them."
"Well, that's the main thing. And how about the broach that you were wearing?"
"Haaaa…" She sighed sadly and rubbed her hands together whilst she was giving the rest of her statement to the police officer. "It was a De Grisogono broach. It's worth at least $50,000. My mother left it to me after she passed away."
"I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mother too at a young age." The policemen sighed and took his hat off. "We will do our best to find the guys who did this to you two. But for Joe though, I'd recommended that both of you see a therapist to be assessed for mental health evaluation."
"Is that really necessary?"
"I'm sorry Miss Garcia. But it's…standard procedure." The male nodded his head and continued to take down notes.
As for his partner in crime a red bellied macaw, she was currently talking to Blu about the evening's events.
"So you have never seen these other guys in the restaurant? Just the blue throated macaw guy?" She asked him politely, as he nodded his head in response. "I know this this must be a really difficult time for you Mr Gunderson. But I need you to try your best and give me the facts of this evening. You think you can do that for me?"
The police woman was very gentle and patient with him, knowing that he had the worst effect out of the both of them. Hence why they also asked a psychiatric nurse to attend the interviews.
"Y-Yes mam." Blu nodded his head, struggling to keep calm after the traumatising incident.
"Okay. So, did you get a good look at the guy who took your girlfriend's broach?"
"The blue throated guy. He was also the one from the bar…"
"The same guy? Okay, and what about the guy you gave your wallet to?" She took down some notes while asking him this question.
"A yellow macaw guy. About…five foot nine? In his early twenties?" Blu responded and shuffled his position on the chair. "Are we finished here?"
"Almost Mr Gunderson. We need to ask you one final question. Have you seen any of these guys before?"
"No." He answered honestly, as he felt himself sinking onto his chair.
"Alright, well…We will be in touch." The police officer put her hat back on and gave him her card. "Call us if you think of anything else."
"Sorry to disturb you. Have a nice night." Both police officers tipped their hats in respect and the psychiatric nurse gave them her number.
"I will see both of you on Monday for your evaluation." The white dove nodded and left the premises.
Jewel then closed the door behind them and locked the door, before turning around to smoke at her boyfriend.
But with one slight look, her smile dropped. When she saw that Blu was banging his head lightly up against the kitchen sink. With tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Hmmm…" She placed a finger on her chin to think of a way on Hiw to cheer him up. To take his mind off of what happened tonight.
Normally when Blu would be upset about something, he like all men had one common weakness…
Jewel narrowed her eyes playfully and she waltzed her way over to the windows and closed the drapes. Then she pulled the blind down on the other windows, before turning around and leaning up against the wall.
"Bluey?" Jewel purred in a sensual manner, licking her beak in a sexy way.
"Y-Y-Yes Jewel?" Blu stuttered sadly, looking up to face her. As she was standing in a sexy pose.
"Come over here…" Using her finger, she motioned for him to come closer to her. Playfully winking at him.
"I don't feel like it…" He mumbled whilst wiping his face with his hand.
"Oh come on?" She batted her eyelashes and caressed her right breast in front of him to tease him. "Wanna play with your favourite squeeze toys?" She referred to her large breasts, as she gave both of them a squeeze.
"How can you think of sex at a time like this? I'm a coward…I don't deserve it…" He sadly responded, blowing his nose on a tissue. Then threw it in the trash can.
"Honey…" Jewel sadly pouted, and went to give him a hug. To which he accepted the hug. But he still didn't feel great about himself.
"Sorry sweetie, but…I wanna go for a walk to clear my head." Blu looked at his girlfriend and kissed her on the beak lovingly. "Maybe later?"
"Sure. Ummm, you want me to join you?" Jewel asked in concern for his well being.
"It's okay. I'll see you in a couple of hours." Blu sadly smiled and grabbed his house keys along with his jacket. Before leaving the apartment to take a walk.
Leaving a saddened Jewel alone, as she was worried about the man she loved.
"Haaaaa, poor Blu. I gotta find a way to cheer him up?" She shook her head and sat down on the couch. Laying back and sighing, before turning on her TV, to watch a movie on Netflix.
Meanwhile…
As the frightened blue macaw man stepped out of his apartment that he shared with his beloved girlfriend. He couldn't help but have a heavy amount of guilt rack up in his mind. Making his mind feel clouded with negative energy. And his heart feel heavy with sorrow, as he was walking along the path that lead to a narrow road that travelled into the city.
The moment of the most recent scary encounter where the muggers came and stole from himself and Jewel, taunting him with their group and larger size. As well as their intimidating postures, haunted him to his core.
It was a stark reminder of his failure on protecting the woman that he lived so dearly. And that just made him feel even worse about himself.
The embarrassment of not being able to protect not only himself but also the woman he loved gnawed at his conscience, leaving him feeling inadequate and ashamed.
Overwhelmed by a tumult of emotions, shame, anger, and frustration to name a few. Blu realised that a mere stroll wouldn't suffice to alleviate the turmoil within him.
The streets felt oppressive, echoing his inner conflict, and he craved a refuge from the relentless thoughts that plagued his mind. In search of solace, he made his way to the local bar, a familiar haunt where he could drown his sorrows in the comforting embrace of a drink.
Even though he didn't have his wallet anymore due to it being stolen, he luckily had two $20 bills in his pocket. So he would have been able to have a few.
The bar, with its dim lighting and the low hum of conversation, offered a temporary escape from his spiralling thoughts. As he settled onto a barstool, the clinking of glasses and the laughter of patrons created a stark contrast to the turmoil he felt inside.
Blu knew he needed this moment, a chance to momentarily forget his failures and perhaps find a glimmer of strength to confront the challenges that lay ahead.
Well well well! We are back again with a brand new adventure ladies and gentlemen. And so far, things have been pretty traumatic for our favourite feathery friends. Blu is terrified by a horrible mugging incident. And even when trying to cheer him up, it was no use. But that's not gonna stop her from trying again hehe! But this is only the beginning my friends! There is so much more to look forward to! And I hope you all are ready, for this thrilling tale! See you all soon for the next chapter.
