When I got home the next day, I saw an envelope sticking out of the door. "Wa that?" Ody asked as I led the way inside.
"I think it's from Uncle Max." I answered as I shut the door behind me and locked it. As I walked to the couch, I opened the envelope. Inside were a few cards; an invitation to the Duelist Kingdom Tournament, The Glory of the King's Opposite Hand, and The Glory of the King's Hand. The Glory of the King's Opposite hand was a blank card, the sight of which made me nervous. Uncle Max never printed blank cards, so it felt like there was an ulterior motive to them.
"A tournament at Duelist Kingdom?" Téa asked after Yugi brought up that he had gotten those cards too. "Isn't that an island?"
"His private island, yeah." I answered.
"I still can't believe you're related to him." Tristan pointed out.
"Right now, it feels like a curse. I don't know what's going through his head..." I trailed off.
"So, that's where Pegasus is keeping your grandpa?" Joey questioned.
"Maybe... The only way to know for sure is to become a contestant. The boat's going to be leaving in two days." Yugi answered.
"But you can't go. It could be dangerous." Téa replied.
"What choice does he have?" Sadie asked her.
"Uncle Max basically took any option away from him..." I trailed off before meeting Yugi's eyes. "But you won't be alone. Sadie and I got invited too, so we can help you." A grateful smile crossed his face before he turned to Téa.
"The girls are right; I have to go. It's the only clue I have for rescuing grandpa."
"I still can't believe it... Pegasus used some kind of weird spell to grab your grandpa's soul away and now he's toying with you, forcing you to duel in the tournament."
"Right, and without invitations, we can't even go there wit ya." Joey added. "I wish we could help ya, pal..."
"Hey, it's not like he'll be facing it alone. Like Callie said, she and I will be there too." Sadie brought up.
"Still, this is bad..." Téa trailed off.
"The entire situation sucks, I know." I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Huh? Hey, Yugi... Check this out. According to this card, the tournament winner takes the Grand Prize of 3 million dollars!"
"3 mill?"
"So, what, Tristan? Who cares about money at a time like this?" Yugi inquired.
"Hey, gimme dat!" Joey snatched the card from Tristan. "3 million..."
"I guess Joey does..." I trailed off.
"3 million, in cold cash..." He mumbled. I shook my head. Later that night, I was cooking dinner. Ruth had promised to watch Ody and was currently on the couch.
"Ruth, you really don't mind watching Ody?" I questioned over my shoulder.
"Of course, we'll have fun together, won't we, bud?" Ruth asked.
"Ya, big sis!" Ody replied. I shook my head, a small smile on my face. Just then, a knock sounded on the door.
"I got it, Cal." Ruth told me.
"Thanks, Ru." I smiled. But the smile dropped as soon as Ruth gasped.
"Sadie, what the hell happened?!" Ruth demanded to know.
"Sade?" I looked over my shoulder but couldn't see my best friend properly.
"James found me." Rage hit me harder than a brick smashing glass.
"What?!" I gripped the counter. James McCain had been Sadie's boyfriend since our first year in middle school, and he'd treated her like absolute garbage. I had always wondered why she stuck with him, and last year, she had finally broken up with James and had moved out of her old place, so she'd be safe. After finishing cooking dinner, I closed my eyes, turning off the stove as I listened to Sadie's sobs of pain. I had sworn that I would never allow her to hurt like this again, but he'd found her.
"Ruth, before I go in there, how mad am I about to be?" I tried to keep my voice steady.
"Angrier than Ares himself." Ruth responded, sounding grim.
"Little man, go get the first aid kit for me." I spoke to my little brother, not wanting him to see Sadie in the state she was in now for very long.
"Otay." He obeyed, and I heard his little feet padding down the hall to the bathroom. I got a clean rag and wet it.
"Ruth, go help Ody find it." I asked the older girl as I rang it out and turned the water off.
"Of course." Ruth left the room as I entered. When Sadie looked at me, I saw the damage. There were several cuts; one on her arm, one on her side, and a very prominent one on her face. The slash had cut down the left side of her face, stopping just shy of her eye. If you don't kill that malakas, I will. Calypso snarled.
You're not helping. I crossed the room in a few strides, focusing on taking care of the girl that was practically my sister. I couldn't focus on the rage that was making my entire body shake or the fury of the warrior queen spirit in my bracelet right now... I cleaned Sadie's face of blood, being careful not to hurt her. While I had taken care of Sadie's wounds before, this was the worst of it... James had tried to take her life this time, and the cuts... While not deep enough to need the hospital, they would scar up. "You're staying with me from now on."
"Cal..."
"I'm not taking no for an answer this time." I interrupted. "I'm sick and tired of just sitting back and watching you get hurt like this. Besides, I have a third room with its own bathroom. It's not like I don't have the space." Sadie hissed as I dabbed at the cut on her head. Ruth came back in with the first aid kit.
"How did he even find you, Sade?" Ruth asked.
"Hell if I know. I was sleeping when he came in." Sadie hesitated. I stopped what I was doing to look at her. She wasn't looking at either of us.
"Sadie Elaine, what're you not telling us?" I interrogated her. Her eyes flickered to me.
"Don't get mad..."
"Too late for that."
"I've... I've felt like someone's been watching me... For three months..."
"What?!"
"Why the hell didn't you say something?"
"Because y'all would freak the hell out."
"Oh, like him beating you to a pulp wasn't justification enough?" I stood and put my hands on my hips. She shut up after that, looking down. I sighed, kneeling back down. "Look, I would give up anything if it meant keeping you safe and happy, but you know I am not a pushover. You hide something like this from me again and you'll regret it, you got me? You and Ruth are practically my sisters, and you mean just as much to Ody. Don't ever feel like you can't tell me anything." I told her as I put antibiotic cream on her wounds and used butterfly band aids on the cut on her face and bandaged her arm with gauze.
"Yeah, I gotcha." Sadie replied. Just as I finished, Ody wobbled in, dragging one of the blankets off his bed. All three of us watched as he tugged that thing across the room and put it on Sadie's legs before laying his head on her.
"Big sis. All better." He snuggled into her. My heart absolutely melted, and Sadie's lip quivered before she picked him up, hugging him.
"You're too sweet, Ody." She told him. He gently touched the band aid that covered the cut on her face.
"Big sis. Owie."
"That's right, bubs, you gotta be gentle." I told him.
"Gentwe." He repeated, though he struggled with it. It made everybody giggle, and we fell asleep watching Disney movies, Ody keeping her happy and cuddled.
A couple days later, Sadie and I were packed and walking to the harbor together. "Do you think we'll be able to help Yugi get his grandpa back?" Sadie asked after a moment of silence between us.
"We have to." I told her. I looked at my deck. I had spent a couple hours after school getting my deck together.
"I've been meaning to ask, but why is your bag so big?"
"... You know we're gonna be on the Island for at least a couple days, right? The Island doesn't have any fruits or anything planted, and we won't always be by the ocean to get fish." Silence followed.
"You have food in there?"
"Yes, among other things." I felt exasperation building up.
"Why?"
"Sadie, you can't be serious." I deadpanned. "Again, we're gonna be there at least a couple days. Several hundred people are taking part in this, and you think it won't take a couple days? And second, there's enough to last us and our other friends just in case."
"You know, the older we get, the more I realize you're the mom friend?" I shrugged at Sadie's observation.
"I like being prepared." I replied as we joined the other duelists. I glanced around for Yugi, but couldn't find him.
"Attention, all duelists! Welcome to this event, sponsored by Industrial Illusions! You received with your invitation the star chips that will grant you entry into the contest. You are all elite, invited by us after close observation of your past Duel Monsters contests. You each have a fair and equal chance to win. It all comes down to how well you've chosen your cards, and how well you play. Now then, duelists, cross the ocean and enter The Duelist Kingdom!" Kemo announced.
"Prepare your Star Chips as you board the vessel." One of Uncle Max's other guards instructed. After a few minutes of people boarding, one of the other guards shouted.
"Hey you! Get out of here! Only official contestants are allowed on board!"
"How do ya know I'm not official?" A familiar Brooklyn accented voice questioned.
"Because the official duelists aren't trying to sneak on board through the lower hatches." The guard answered as he and one other dragged him away.
"Joey?" Sadie and I wondered. Sure enough, we saw Joey struggling to get free as they passed us. I saw Yugi get out of line from ahead of us and Sadie and I followed his lead.
"Stop your struggling, we're gonna have to throw you out!"
"No way! I came here to duel, and I'm gonna duel!" Joey replied.
"Leave him alone!" Yugi called out.
"Vinny, Tony, let him go!" I commanded the guards as I approached. "He's with us."
"Callie, Sadie, Yugi, 'ey." Joey's eyes went back to Sadie, and I watched as a look of anger crossed his face. "Who did dat to ya?"
"We'll explain later." I answered.
"What're you doing here, Joey?" Joey laughed a bit.
"Did ya really think I'd let ya do dis on ya own? Come on, help me out."
"Guys, come on, let him on the ship." I told them.
"I'm sorry, Miss Callie, but rules are rules. Without a Star Chip, no one can get on. No exceptions." Tony replied.
"But Joey has a Star Chip. Didn't he tell you?" Yugi asked.
"I do?" Joey blinked. I resisted the urge to facepalm.
"See?" Yugi held out his hand. When Joey held out his hand, Yugi dropped one of his star chips into Joey's open palm.
"What's this?" Joey looked at Yugi.
"According to this card," I held up the card with the Duelist glove and star chips. "A Star Chip is proof that one is a Duelist."
"Hmm… That may be, but all participants are given 2 star chips. Both boys will be at a disadvantage." Vinny spoke up this time.
"Maybe, but I'd rather take that risk than be without my friend when we get to the Duelist Kingdom. I need him." Yugi stated.
"Yugi…"
"What'd we do?" Tony asked Vinny. Vinny pulled out his phone.
"Mr Pegasus, we've got a problem, sir." I crossed my arms over my chest, glaring at him. His eyes flickered to me and he gulped. "U-Understood, sir." He then hung up and waved us to get on the ship.
"Come on, guys." I led the way back to the line after shooting a nasty glare at Tony and Vinny. Can't I take out my anger on them?
Don't even think about it. I kept Calypso from coming out as we boarded. A little while later, after everyone had boarded the ship, the horn blared and off we went. Sadie, Yugi, Joey and I were all on the deck. "I'm glad they let you on board, Joey." Yugi commented.
"Only because you sacrificed one of ya Star Chips fa me. But if any of da otha playas find out we only have one Star Chip each, they could really try to take advantage of us."
"Then be quiet about it." Yugi and I advised simultaneously.
"Kind of exciting, isn't it, guys?" Joey asked.
"Yeah." We all agreed.
"Well, what do we have here?" I sighed at the voice. I knew that voice well enough to know the tall blonde with mesmerizing amethyst eyes was behind us.
"Of course she'd be here." I mumbled as I turned around.
"Wow…" Joey trailed off, much to my own annoyance.
"Hello, Mai." I begrudgingly greeted her. She had on her usual purple boots, purple short shorts, and white corset top under a purple jacket. A holster for her deck was also attached to her hip.
"Callie, and Sadie too. They'll let practically anyone in this tournament, won't they?" Mai shot at us. I glared. "Speaking of, where's my sister?"
"Ruth's at home. Since she wasn't invited, she offered to watch Ody." Sadie answered for me before I had a chance to insult her back.
"Huh. My sister has better things to do than babysit a bratty toddler." Mai commented.
"Don't talk about my brother that way." I snarled.
"Looks like you've lost your bite, Callie. What? Kaiba ending things took all the fight out of you?" Mai replied.
"Mai, you know full well she broke up with him, don't even start."
"At least I'm not a washed up 24 year old still clutching at glory." I mumbled. She glared before ignoring us for Yugi.
"So, you're the Yugi kid everybody's talking about, huh? I'm amazed… that a squirt like you could beat Kaiba. You're famous, you know." Yugi was blushing too at that point, and I was glaring at the back handed compliments she was giving.
"Thanks very much, I think."
"Hey, Miss, I'm a really good friend of the famous Yugi, the master Duelist. In fact-"
"Look!" Mai's venomous tone came out. "You're either a champ or a chump. Cut this guy loose, he's fashion challenged and deserves to be crushed in the games."
"Guess that makes you a chump then, you're just as fashion challenged." Sadie fired at her. "Bet you get crushed within the first ten minutes of the game."
"I doubt it. I'll crush you all eventually."
"We'll see about that." I mumbled as she walked away.
"How can someone so arrogant be related to someone like Ruth?" Sadie asked.
"Beats me." I answered as we went inside with the boys.
"Hey! Is this a joke or what?" Joey exclaimed in outrage not even ten minutes after we entered the duelist quarters. I sighed, hanging my head. "This is a luxury cruiser, I know you got better rooms somewhere."
"You again?!"
"We cut you a break, and now you're causing more trouble?!" Tony and Vinny were back in the room.
"Do you want to get thrown out of here?"
"Huh? Hey, aren't you that kid Yugi?" A nasally voice interrupted the spat.
"Oh great…" Sadie and I murmured at the same time. When we turned, Weevil and Rex were in the doorway.
"Uh, yeah. And you're…"
"Weevil and Rex, the dino duelist!" Joey exclaimed.
"Heh, you're wasting your time with those guys. The private rooms only go to finalists from the last championship, like us." Rex winked at Sadie, making her shudder and hide behind me.
"Congratulations on winning the Regionals, Weevil." Yugi stepped forward to congratulate the insect user.
"It was nothing." Weevil brushed it off.
"Yeah. I went easy on him that time." Rex added.
"Yeah? Well, dis time, Yugi and I are gonna take da tournament, right Yugi?" Joey broke free of Tony and Vinny.
"Not if Callie and I take the tournament." Sadie challenged, wrapping an arm around my shoulder and shooting a teasing grin at Joey.
"To tell you the truth, winning the last championship didn't feel like that much of an achievement. I guess I can't really call myself the champion until I defeat the duelist who beat Kaiba. But, I'm sure I'll end up battling you in the big tournament, Yugi. Frankly, I look forward to it."
"I look forward to it, too." Yugi replied.
"I'm looking forward to some dino-demolition." Rex commented.
"Let me tell you a little secret. It's something none of the other players know about the games yet." Weevil told Yugi.
"That's cheating, Weevil." I pointed out.
"The other duelists will find out soon enough, but there are new rules on the Island that require more strategy." Weevil told us.
"Ah, rules are for wimps. In dueling, you either smash your opponent or get smashed yourself. It's one, or the other."
"Strength is good, but you also need to combine them with other types of cards." Joey replied. I smiled. He's been paying attention… Good…
"Who asked you?" Rex shot at him. "Stay out of my way… Or I'll stomp you like everyone else."
"We'll see who stomps who when we get ta da island…" Joey trailed off.
"Ignore him, let's scope out the competition." Weevil told us.
"Whaddya mean?" Joey asked.
"Check out those chumps… They're already trading over there. Players here are swapping cards and strengthening their decks, getting ready for the big tournament. It's also a good chance to get a feel for your opponent's cards."
"Whoa, strong cards! Hey, wanna trade? How 'bout you? Anybody? Help me out here!" Joey immediately jumped into the trading.
"Guess Joey's trading…" Yugi trailed off as the four of us watched.
"If you've come all this way and you're still trying to improve your deck, you've got to be pretty desperate." Weevil commented.
"That's one opinion." I put in, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I'll catch you on the flip side." Weevil wisely decided to leave the room. Not long after he left, Sadie jumped into trading too. Sadie and Joey seemed to hit it off while trading, something that made me smile.
"So, what happened to Sadie? Is she okay?" Yugi asked me.
"She had a run in with her ex, and he's not a good guy." I admitted, leaving the gory details out for Sadie's sake. Yugi looked shocked and worried.
"Someone she dated did that to her?" He asked, sounding in disbelief.
"I know it's hard to believe, but like I said, her ex was a pretty trashy guy. She couldn't go anywhere without him controlling every aspect of her life." I went outside, and Yugi followed me, looking like he was listening intently. "I had to admit, I was more than a little relieved when she told me they broke up, even if she did come to me with a bruise on her cheek and a black eye that day. I thought that would be the end of it, but after last night…" I shook my head. "I'm just happy that someone's been able to put a smile back on her face."
"Yeah, Joey and I started off on the wrong foot, but he's a good guy. I can tell he likes Sadie." Yugi told me as we sat down on one of the outside tables.
"Yeah?" I asked, and without really saying anything, we started a duel of our own.
"Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen him get that angry at someone being hurt before." Yugi played Celtic Guardian. "Joey's loyal to a fault, and protective of those he cares about from what I've noticed, but it seems to be on a different level with Sadie."
"I did notice that as well." I drew a card and laid Beautiful Headhuntress on the field in attack mode. "I can tell Joey does have a good heart, and that he might have feelings for her that he might not even realize are there yet." Yugi nodded, moving his Celtic Guardian to the graveyard before drawing a card. "Sadie and Ruth are both like sisters to me, I can't stomach the thought of something happening to either of them again." I admitted.
"I get that." Yugi looked over his cards. "Like I said before, when I first met Joey, it was a few months before you arrived." He set a couple cards before summoning Curse of Dragon. I nodded at the move and moved Beautiful Headhuntress to the graveyard, drawing a card as I continued to listen to Yugi's story. "At first, Tristan and Joey were bullying me, though they'd tell you that they were just teasing me, trying to make me a stronger man. Joey even threw a piece of the Millennium Puzzle." He chuckled a bit at that. "But, unfortunately for them, they got caught in the crosshairs of a real bully and it was up to me to defend them. Of course, I know I didn't have to, but it didn't feel right to leave them on their own like that. I got beaten up too, but Joey returned the puzzle piece I was missing." He touched the puzzle. "Without him, I never would have solved the Millennium Puzzle."
"That's incredibly brave, Yugi, I hope you know that." I drew a card and summoned Athena from my hand. Athena was my first and favorite card, given to me by my father when I was only five years old. Her appearance being similar to Calypso was why I had first mentioned the name Athena as a placeholder. Yugi nodded at the move before moving Curse of Dragon to the graveyard.
"It's what anyone would have done." Yugi tried waving it off, but I shook my head as he drew a card. "Besides that, I was actually really scared."
"Courage isn't the absence of fear, Yugi." I told him as I watched him draw a card and summon Big Shield Gardna in defense mode before gesturing to me. "It's the decision that something else is more important than fear." I drew a card. "Anyway, not many people would have taken a beating for someone that bullied them, right thing to do or not." I equipped Athena with the Black Pendant, trying to take out Big Shield Gardna. "I'd say that you showing the courage to stand up for them is why they became friends with you after." He flipped his facedown card up, showing that it was Magic Cylinder. I moved both Black Pendant and Athena to the Graveyard. "Well played."
"It was pretty close." He agreed as we cleaned up our cards. That was when our friends rejoined us.
"Yugi, Cal, I got some good card tradin' in." Joey informed us.
"Hey, lemme see 'em." Yugi replied, and I couldn't help but peek over Yugi's shoulder as Joey showed him the cards.
"Salamandra, Kunai with Chain, Baby Dragon and Shield and Sword? Those are great trades." I commented.
"With these new magic cards, combined with your monsters, you'll have a real strong deck." Yugi told him.
"All right! So now, I'm ready to win every duel I play." Joey responded, making Sadie snort.
"I think you're gonna find that it's a bit harder than that, Joe." I brought him back down to Earth.
"Here, add this to your deck." Yugi opened a golden box and pulled out a card, giving it to Joey. "It can be helpful in a tight spot."
"Thanks, I'll take it." Joey thanked him. "I can't get over how ya always helping me out."
"Ah, we meet again." Weevil rasped.
"Not again." Sadie and I groaned.
"Oh, Weevil…" Yugi trailed off as Weevil joined us on the deck, going over to the railing.
"Ahh, the evening wind sure feels nice. So, did you trade for any good cards, Yugi?" Weevil asked.
"Nah, I'm gonna duel with the cards I brought along with me." Yugi informed him.
"I figured as much… You used the Exodia cards in your duel with Kaiba, right?" My stomach dropped at Weevil's question. Sadie and I exchanged nervous glances. "Those are the strongest cards of them all."
"And really rare." Yugi added.
"Could I possibly see those legendary cards?" Weevil asked the question I'd been dreading.
"I don't see why not." Yugi answered.
"But I do." I got between them. "You think I don't know what you intend to do with those cards, Weevil?"
"Whatever do you mean? I just want to take a look at them." Weevil told me.
"Like you just wanted to look at my Ares Unchained?" I shot at him.
"Ares Unchained?" Yugi asked.
"Ares Unchained was the second card I'd ever gotten from my Dad, and one of the most powerful and rare cards along with Exodia." I glared. "I didn't see the harm in letting Weevil see it either, until he tore it in half right in front of me, rendering the card unplayable."
"I won't do that to Exodia, I promise." I knew Weevil enough to know that he was lying. I looked at Yugi, who had already fished Exodia out of the gold box.
"Yugi, I'm begging you, don't." I warned him.
"Callie, it'll be okay." He reassured me.
"Remember how we said any way Weevil would cheat, he would? This is one of those ways he can cheat without being caught." Sadie continued my warning.
"Girls, it's okay. Weevil will be careful with them, won't you, Weevil?" Yugi asked.
"I give you my word, on my honor as a duelist." Weevil answered.
"Too bad you have no honor as a duelist." I mumbled, but watched helplessly as Yugi handed Exodia over anyway.
"So these are the cards to summon Exodia… For a long time, I've been trying to come up with some kind of strategy to finally beat these cards…But I couldn't come up with anything…Until just this moment." He started walking towards the railing.
"Weevil, stop!" I rushed forward, grabbing a hold of Exodia.
"Let go!" Weevil shouted. We struggled for a minute, Sadie trying to help but getting shoved to the ground by Weevil before he slammed me into the railing. "Say goodbye to Exodia!"
"NO!" Yugi and I cried out at the same time. I had reached out to try to grab them, but I couldn't catch them in time. Weevil laughed.
"Now there's no one who could challenge me!" Weevil boasted as he walked away.
"You cheating slimeball!" Sadie exclaimed after him.
"Why you-"
"My cards! Those were the Exodia cards that Grandpa gave me!" Yugi's voice felt heartbreak, and I shoved down the urge to tell him that I'd warned him and he didn't listen to me.
"That's why we told you not to give them to him!" Sadie exclaimed.
"Sadie, stop." I told her off, shaking my head.
"I'll get 'em!" Joey dove over the railing and into the water.
"Joey, don't!" All of us exclaimed, a little too late as he splashed into the water below us.
"Joey! Where are you?!" Yugi asked.
"I promise ya, I'll get 'em Yugi!" Joey yelled back.
"Joey, they're not worth drowning over!" Yugi shouted to him. I watched as Joey was able to get two of them, but after a wave took him under water for a second too long, I tore off my jacket and jumped over the railing too to help him. "CALLIE!" I heard Yugi's voice call out to me before I hit the water. I swam to Joey before pulling him back up, gasping for air.
"Callie!" I heard a different voice call out to us.
"Are you okay?!" Tristan's voice this time. When I looked up, Yugi, Téa, Tristan and Sadie had let down the ladder.
"Grab hold!" Yugi shouted to us.
"Hurry!" Sadie urged me.
"Come on, Joe. The current's too strong for us to get them." I told him before swimming us to the ship. "You first, big guy." I used all my strength to get Joey up on the ladder, and once he started climbing, I pulled myself up and out of the water.
"Calliope Penelope, you're stupid." Sadie scolded.
"Hey, I'm not the one who jumped in first after those cards." I shot back.
"That was close. I'm glad you guys showed up- Really glad." Yugi told Téa and Tristan.
"We're a team, we all stick together." Téa replied.
"We'll always watch your back." Tristan added.
"Thanks a lot, guys." I gave them my gratitude.
"I'm sorry, Yugi." Joey spoke up, sounding defeated. "I failed. I only found two of your cards."
"It's okay, Joey."
"It's not okay. It's always this way with me. I'm never able to help anybody, not even my own sister, Serenity." Joey hung his head.
"Serenity?" I asked.
"Really? You have a sister, Joey?" Téa asked.
"Our parents divorced years ago when we were kids. She lives far away with my motha. My sister's had really bad eyes since she was born. Eventually… She'll go blind."
"I'm so sorry, Joey." I felt my heart breaking for him. I couldn't imagine not being able to help Ody if something similar happened to him…
"Thanks, Cal. She sent me a message. Da doctors told her that da time has come. Soon, her eyes will be impossible to repair, even with surgery. But, dere are specialists who could perform an operation now, before it's too late. They could save her eyesight. But, dere's no way I can pay for da operation. I have to win… For her. Winning in the Duelist Kingdom, and getting da prize money is da only way I can help Serenity." Joey explained. The ship's horn blew as the sun rose, showing the Duelist Kingdom on the horizon. I knew that even if Joey didn't win, I'd find a way to help him.
"All of us will do our best, Joey. You for your sister, and me for my Grandpa." Yugi told him.
"That's right, we'll do this together." Téa added.
"Look, the Island." Tristan called out as we got closer.
"That's the Duelist Kingdom, we're almost there." I told them. I didn't know what lay ahead, or the trials we faced, but I knew one thing.
We'd face it all together...
