Mt. Moon
Ash, Brock and their Pokémon were on their way to Cerulean City.
"AHHHH!" A scream was heard.
"What the?" Ash exclaimed.
"Someone's in trouble," Brock said.
They ran towards the source of the scream and saw a man wearing a lab coat being attacked by a bunch of blue eyeless bat Pokémon.
"Zubat," Ash scanned them.
Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. A Poison and Flying Type. Being in the sun isn't healthy for Zubat, so it spends the day sleeping in caves. Since it doesn't have eyes, it uses ultrasonic waves to detect its surroundings.
"Pikachu Thunder Shock," Ash said.
Pikachu fired a shock of yellow electricity at the Zubat which hit & caused them to flee. Brock tossed a Pokéball at one of the Zubat & captured it.
"Are you okay, sir?" Ash asked as he helped the unknown man up.
"Oh yes, I'm quite alright," the man said. "Thank you for saving my life."
"Seymour, is that you?" Brock asked.
"Brock, what are you doing here? Why aren't you at your Gym?" Seymour questioned.
"My father is healthy enough to take over the Gym so I'm traveling with my new friend to become a Pokémon Doctor like I always wanted," Brock replied.
"Well, that's good for you," Seymour said before he turned to Ash. "Like he said, I'm Seymour, a Scientist and a Researcher."
"I'm Ashley and this is my Pikachu," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu waved.
"So why were the Zubat attacking you?" Brock asked.
"Come with me," Seymour said as he led them into the cave and pointed to the cave walls. "These lights are the reason why. Someone has strung these lights throughout the whole cave. But the Pokémon in the cave need the dark. These lights are making them confused and aggressive."
"Which is why the Zubat attacked you," Ash said.
"Yes, and look over there. The Paras are planting their mushroom everywhere and the lights are drying up the Sandshrew," Seymour informed as Ash pulled out her Rotom Phone
Sandshrew, the Mouse Pokémon. A Ground Type. Sandshrew often lives in the desert and other dry places, so it's accustomed to life with very little rainfall. It can move quickly by curling itself into a ball and rolling across the sand.
Paras, the Mushroom Pokémon. A Bug and Grass Type. When Paras eats, it's mostly just feeding the mushrooms on its back. These mushrooms, known as tochukaso, can be picked, dried & ground into powder for medicine.
One Sandshrew was panting like crazy.
Ash ran towards Sandshrew and petted its head, "Are you okay?"
"Shrew," Sandshrew nodded.
Ash took out a bowl and filled it with water, "Drink up, little fella."
Sandshrew immediately began drinking the water.
"You're a nice girl," Seymour smiled.
"That's Ashley for you," Brock smiled.
Ash petted Sandshrew on the head again, "Feeling better?"
"Sandshrew!" Sandshrew nodded.
"Anyway, that's why I'm here on patrol to protect the mountain from troublemakers who invaded these caves," Seymour continued.
"Is it because of the Moon Stone?" Brock asked.
"Sadly yes. Since the meteor is millions of years old & is said to have special powers, they want to take it for themselves," Seymour answered.
"Pika Pika," Pikachu said as she pointed to a small pink star shaped Pokémon skipping by.
"Aww, a Cleffa," Ash cooed as she scanned the Pokémon
Cleffa, the Star Shape Pokémon. A Fairy Type. On nights with many shooting stars, Cleffa can be seen dancing in a ring. They dance through the night & stop only at the break of day, when these Pokémon quench their thirst with morning dew.
Seymour, Ash and Brock decided to follow Cleffa. Sandshrew followed them as it didn't want to leave Ash. Suddenly, Cleffa's stomach grumbled, meaning it was hungry. They decided to have a lunch break and Sandshrew and Cleffa joined in. Ash and Brock sent out their Pokémon. While they ate, Sandshrew and Cleffa were talking to each other. Sandshrew decided he will go with Ash. Cleffa stared at Ash and back at Sandshrew.
Just then, Cleffa got up, "Cleffa."
"Cleffa wants us to follow her," Ash said as she & Brock recalled their Pokémon except Pikachu who climbed on her shoulder.
Cleffa led them to a crater of the cave just as the sun was setting. In the middle of the crater was a gigantic shiny boulder.
"That's the Moon Stone core," Seymour explained.
"So beautiful," Ash enchanted.
Cleffa places her Moon Stone with the other small Moon Stones. Suddenly the big & small Moon Stones began to glow & numerous Clefairy came out, then they started dancing around the Moon Stone.

Clefairy, the Fairy Pokémon and the evolved form of Cleffa. A Fairy Type. On nights with a full moon, Clefairy gathers from all over & dances. Bathing in moonlight makes them float.
"This is beautiful," Ash said as she recorded the event.
"A wonderful sight indeed," Brock said.
"Perfect. Now we can capture all the Clefairy and the Moon Stone," A voice said.
Everyone looked and saw two men.
"Who are they?" Seymour questioned.
"Probably Poachers," Ash said.
"Hey you there!" Seymour shouted, gaining their attention. "Are you the ones who put up these lights?"
"So what if we did? What's the big deal?" the 1st poacher said.
"The big deal is that the lights are harming the Pokémon," Brock said.
"Like we care. Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be taking the Clefairy and the Moon Stone," the 2nd poacher said.
"Not happening. Pikachu, let's go," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu said as she sparked her cheeks.
"Go Zubat!" Brock sent out his Zubat.
"Have it your way. Mankey!" the 1st poacher sent out a simian-like Pokémon with cream colored fur and a pig nose.
"Raticate!" the 2nd poacher sent out a big light brown rat-like Pokémon.
"Mankey!" "Raticate!"
Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokémon. A Fighting Type. Its raging tires it out and causes it to fall asleep, but the anger resonating in its dreams causes it to wake up—which infuriates it all over again.
Raticate, the Mouse Pokémon. A Normal Type. The webbing on its hind feet makes Raticate a good swimmer. Approach with caution-this Pokémon has a nasty temper and will bite with little provocation.
"Raticate Hyper Fang!" the 2nd poacher ordered.
Raticate's teeth glowed bright orange & charged at Zubat.
"Mankey Karate Chop!" the 1st poacher ordered.
Mankey's hand glowed white & charged at Pikachu.
"Pikachu Iron Tail," Ash countered.
Pikachu's tail glowed a metallic color & clashed with Mankey repeatedly.
"Zubat Wing Attack," Brock said.
Zubat's wings glowed light blue, dodged Raticate before slamming his wings into it.
"Use Bite." Zubat's teeth glowed and bit Mankey.
"Pikachu Double Kick." Pikachu kicked Raticate twice.
"Zubat Supersonic!" Zubat released supersonic waves from his mouth which caused Raticate and Mankey to become confused and attack each other.
"What's the matter with you? Snap out of it," the 1st poacher ordered.
"Pikachu Thunderbolt!"
"CHUUUUU!" Pikachu fired a bolt of yellow electricity at the two confused Pokémon, causing them to faint.
The two poachers recalled their Pokémon. In a last attempt, the first poacher pulled out a tranquilizer gun and aimed it at Ash.
Pikachu saw this and saw red. "CHUUUUUUUUU!" she shocked them hard.
They screamed and fainted.
"Thanks girl," Ash hugged Pikachu tight.
Seymour & Brock tied up the poachers while Ash called the police. After the police came & took the poachers away, the ceremony continued like nothing happened and multiple Clefariy evolved.
Clefable, the Fairy Pokémon and the evolved form of Clefairy. A Fairy Type. Its hearing is so acute it can hear a pin drop over half a mile away. It lives on quiet mountains.
All in all, it was a fun night for everyone to enjoy.
The next morning, Ash and Brock stood outside the cave ready to go. Ash sent the video to Prof. Oak.
"This path will lead you to Cerulean City," Seymour said. "Take care."
"You too," Brock said.
"Clefable," a Clefable gave Ash and Brock a Moon Stone.
"Thank you," the two thanked.
Then Sandshrew & Cleffa came up to Ash.
"Is something wrong?"
"Cleffa," Cleffa said as she jumped into Ash's arms.
"Sandshrew," Sandshrew said as he hugged her legs.
"I think they want to go with you," Brock said.
Ash smiled as she took out a Pokéball and a Moon Ball and caught Sandshrew and Cleffa. She then checked their info.

With that, Ash and Brock bid farewell to Seymour and the Fairy Types before continuing their journey to Cerulean City.
